Building a Real Millennium Falcon: At a cost of nearly $15 million dollars

I will admit this one time that during the entire car chase of my upcoming book Tail of the Dragon that I thought of the scene above from The Empire Strikes Back. Although my chase takes place in a car, it is my love of that space ship called The Millennium Falcon which pushed me along to create what I hope to be remembered as the greatest car chase in car chase history. I have been absolutely in love with The Millennium Falcon since I was 9 years old and I don’t think there has been a day in my life where I haven’t thought about it at least once. Because of the article I did yesterday about building a real life U.S.S. Enterprise from Star Trek and other circumstances of the last couple of days my interest has been renewed for an idea that I have had for many years about building an actual life-sized Millennium Falcon.

My thoughts on these matters are always present, but stronger now that the Star Wars yearly celebration is happening right now at Hollywood Studios in Florida. For a long time I have had in my mind that if I could come up with $15 million dollars extra that I didn’t need, I would build that ship, and for a purpose–to take it every year to the Star Wars Celebration in Orlando and allow it to be toured by the thousands of Star Wars fans who attend every year. My intentions have been to build it as a complete full-scale prop to contain large eye bolts concealed under the armor in the top attached to the frame and to helicopter it from my home to Florida each year.

But that is not my only intention. Years ago I started a company called Cliffhanger Research and Development which was intended to rediscover many of the technologies that we have forgotten from the past. I am of the belief that at some point human beings understood the technology of anti-gravity, and that’s how Baalbek in modern-day Lebanon east of the Litani River was built. No modern scientist in their right mind can rationalize that the tremendous stone foundations of that temple were built by rolling those gigantic stones across logs of timber. It’s simply ludicrous. They might attempt to explain Stone Hinge this way, and even the Great Pyramid in Egypt, but Baalbek would have been impossible. Baalbek is to me evidence that there was a technology on earth that allowed for levitation of rock, which is why many temples and pyramids were built to such extremes, because they could. I believe this technology is hidden right in front of our face and is simply waiting for us to rediscover it. And I started Cliffhanger Research and Development to uncover that kind of technology.

But I found myself in court more than making money and discovered that politics of the current time prohibited such commitment to innovation. It would take a tremendous amount of start-up capital just to pay off the politicians and bureaucrats at the FFA, and other regulatory agencies to get the project off the ground let alone to actually discover it. So I put the idea on hold till some later date when I could return to it more financially viable, and politically able to deal with such a project. Currently one of my old business partners is using the name of Cliffhanger to start a ranch in Southern Virginia. CLICK HERE TO LEARN MORE. My hatred over government interference has its roots in my personal experiences. And my recent completion of Ayn Rand’s great novel The Fountainhead had me thinking about this all over again prompting me to actually put my thoughts into words. So this little exercise is more for me than for my readers here. It helps to see it on paper so the visualization process can take the next step.

When I obtain the funds I intend to build my own full-scale version of The Millennium Falcon and it will serve as my permanent office as I restart Cliffhanger Research and Development. It will be a moveable office that I can set up and transport anywhere I wish. But there will be a dual purpose. I intend to hire three out-of-the box scientists who are super Star Wars and Star Trek geeks and have a great understanding of quantum mechanics to use the engine room of my Millennium Falcon as their research facility to discover the secrets of anti-gravity levitation making The Millennium Falcon the test vehicle of rediscovered technology. I believe the actual craft shape of The Millennium Falcon is of sufficient size to generate tremendous electromagnetic fields capable of reversing the effects of earth’s gravity, which I believe contains the secret by reversing the polarity of gravity in controllable increments.

This thought matured during a treasured evening with my family on Saturday night and really ignited in me this desire to build a full-scale version of The Millennium Falcon. I raised my daughters on science and dinosaurs more specifically and we all had a wonderful time looking at the full-sized dinosaurs of Kings Island’s Dinosaurs Alive exhibit. I was actually shocked a couple of times during our tour of the exhibit which is the best that I’ve ever seen. For a long time I was very enchanted by the Jurassic Park exhibit at Universal Studios but this set-up at Kings Island just stunned me. One specific dinosaur called Ruyangosaurus was so massive that I couldn’t believe it was real. The Ruyang Yellow River Dinosaur was 72 feet long, 12 feet wide and 40 feet high, and it moved and made noises. Its chest cavity expanded in and out like it was breathing. I stood there for over 15 minutes admiring this wonderful work of art as my family moved on down the path leaving me there to think. A little boy stood next to me aged 7. He had on khaki pants and a little hat that made him look like a scientist. He held a small notebook where he pretended to write down details. He and I had an intelligent conversation about dinosaurs and how he was going to make them some day like in Jurassic Park. As we spoke a group of teenagers 14 to 16 came by and mocked the noises the animal made. I felt sorry for the 7-year-old, because I realized that his school would probably beat out of him this natural curiosity for dinosaurs and make him into those teenagers, where the mysteries of life are taken from them and replaced with biological impulses of primitive sexual ritual. But then my hope came back alive as a young woman aged 22 stood next to me and the boy with tears streaming down her face. “It’s so beautiful.” She was a paleontologist major at the University of Cincinnati waiting to go on a dig to the badlands in South Dakota. My oldest daughter motioned for me to come up the hill, “Dad, you’re going to love this!” I left the two science hopefuls behind and went to see what she was talking about and behold, there was a Tyrannosaurs Rex in full-scale, and abundant glory. I have words to write for every occasion and every circumstance, but I cannot find them to convey my love of that T-Rex dinosaur at the Kings Island exhibit. It was one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen.

As we walked around the park after that exhibit my mind was racing. I thought of the little boy, the young paleontologist and the feeling my family had over just seeing some mechanical dinosaurs set up in the woods. It helped to see those full-scale dinosaurs and I realized that such an experience for those particular young people would probably advance science just a little bit. When I was a kid, nothing like those animatronics dinosaurs existed, not at the level of sophistication shown at that exhibit. It was worth every bit of $5 a ticket. My family was back there on the trails for over 2 hours, and I could have stayed all day reading everything and just looking at the dinosaurs move.

My family knows when I get that far off look that my mind is active and I don’t remember saying two words for the rest of the night. I’m sure I did, but my mind was on the full-sized Millennium Falcon of my dreams and the renewed idea of giving 3 geniuses the work place inside their dream vehicle the commission to make it come to life—to make it fly. Not to make it fly with nuclear power, or fossil fuels, or aerodynamics requiring thrust and drag to create lift. But to make it fly repealing the earth’s gravity instead of being prisoner to it, by making it fly smoothly through the air using earth’s magnetic field to do so. To have The Millennium Falcon fly from anyplace in the United States and land at Hollywood Studios and the yearly Star Wars Celebration without the aid of a helicopter.

It helps to have a visual reference to frame the mind to a difficult concept. The dinosaur exhibit at Kings Island can certainly do that for scientists who want to see the results of what all that time spent in the dirt have yielded. But for Star Wars fans who are striving to make into reality the thoughts that those films have given their imaginations, there is a strong yearning to make it real, because the mind has thought it, and now the hands want to build it. I think having a full-scale Millennium Falcon would capture the imagination of thousands who are on the edge of great scientific discoveries in a world that laughs at them and mocks their passion, like those teenage boys making fun of the Ruyangosaurus. The world is made up of such second-handlers, but the girl with tears on her face, and the young boy with the notebook and passion to discover the next great thing, I want to hire, and free their minds to change the world. I promise to do it as soon as I can come up with $15 million that I don’t need. Because I think we’re close, and all it will take is the love of an object well-known to be seen, to be touched, to be beheld in every way possible to unleash the unimaginable that will carry mankind to the next great discovery.

Everything starts with an idea, and the passion to make that idea into a reality.

The Beauty of Capitalism: A Dance Off with Star Wars and dreams from Central Florida

For anyone who doubts even a little that capitalism is the ultimate economy of a free people, one only as to look at the great amusement parks and roller coasters from Central Florida. Below is a recent video from Attractions Magazine which begins in my favorite amusement park in the entire world, the Epcot Center.

The Star Wars Weekend just opened at Hollywood Studios and here are some clips from that opening ceremony. Star Wars as an idea could never have manifested in a country like Russia, China, Greece, France, or any African country not because of skin color, or even financial viability. The key is in the ability to think and appreciate freedom, allowing fans to participate in a living mythology as evident in this parade where people from all over the world come to pay tribute to their favorite Star Wars characters both as a participants and as spectators.

And in a capitalist oriented culture it is in the freedom of musical expression, and theatrical expression that pop culture merges with myth in the very popular dance-off that was shown on opening night.

As many people these days are confused as to what kind of politics they should support, it is only capitalism that makes all the dreams and talents of Central Florida come to life. And what a wonderful culture we have because of it.  I am thankful every time I get the opportunity to see the latest and greatest of entertainment in Central Florida.

Darth Maul Returns: March 9th 2012 on Star Wars The Clone Wars

Want to know what I’m going to be doing on Friday night! My wife is already making popcorn and the refrigerator is packed with nice cold beverages. Because on Friday, March 9, 2012 Darth Maul returns to fight Obi Wan Kenobi in the Cartoon Network’s Star Wars, The Clone Wars which is one of my favorite television shows.

I have been wondering for months how Darth Maul would be brought back to life after he was cut in two during the film The Phantom Menace. So finally, the wait will be over, and we will find out. And I can’t wait!

The Progressive Movie Critic: The intention of a bad review

I wrote my review of the very fantastic film Red Tails at the link below. After the film pulled in a respectable $19 million dollars on its opening weekend in spite of the very critical reviews, I write this with a smile on my face. Unlike most films, Red Tails gained momentum as word of mouth spread through the weekend leaving per screen showings on Sunday higher than Friday (opening day).

https://overmanwarrior.wordpress.com/2012/01/22/red-tails-the-movie-is-fantastic-thank-you-george-lucas-again/

Red Tails is wonderful. It ends with a prayer by black men under a flowing American flag, a very iconic image. I predict it will be nominated for at least three Academy Awards and will win two, Best Supporting Actor, and Best Visual Effects. In a rating out of 10 I would give Red Tails an 8, only because the credits in the beginning could have been less distracting. I know what the intention was, and that was to pay homage to the old serial films of the 40’s. But in a brilliantly colored film, it doesn’t work so well. And the music could have been more epic, to match the action on the screen. Those are very minor quips however and hardly worth mentioning. That leaves the question, what were the reviewers thinking who said the movie had “cardboard characters,” that it was “old fashioned,” and that the movie didn’t tell enough of the story about racism.

Well, movie critics come from those liberal arts majors in college who, like high school career councilors make a living telling other people what to do. There are many jobs where looters, unable to create for themselves make livings off the creations of others. In spite of the fact that teachers are so highly revered in our culture, I would say they fall under this category. Their usefulness is largely a result of self promotion as opposed to actual results. For instance, home schooled kids routinely outperform public educated kids. The factor in a child’s life is the quality of their parents, not their teachers. The greatest teacher in the world cannot compensate for a bad parent. Teachers can help, but they can’t fill a child’s life with all the essentials, even though they sell themselves as though they can. In movies, it is the movie critic, that lover of cinema who creates for themselves a market that allows them to see all the movies they wish, without having to put themselves out on a limb and ever create anything.

The movie critic like the teacher goes to college and allows progressive leaning professors to shape their thoughts, both occupations having a tendency toward the liberal arts. The teacher leaves college more of a socialist than when they entered and the movie critic does as well. The critic learning that it is progressive political money that shapes Hollywood these days, steer studios and the entertainment industry into the direction of their socialist training. Many people don’t know it, but the socialist labor unions of Southern California have infected Hollywood in very negative ways, making great films very difficult to make. Studios often pick films they believe will get critical reviews, because they believe those reviews will generate a return on the investment in their pictures. Studios have given the movie critic too much power over the culture of motion picture creation.

George Lucas as a maverick filmmaker in every sense of the word has had his quips with the labor unions of the motion picture industry for years. Lucas to keep the cost down on his projects has chose to make films in England, Australia, and Red Tails was entirely shot in Prague. Lucas tends to avoid the Hollywood machine for the stifling controls they have attempted to exert on him in the past. Movie critics are typically very hard on George Lucas not because his movies are bad, or his characters are card board, they are hard on him beacause Lucas pushes the rules to constantly make new discoveries in film technique. Movie critics just like the teachers unions protect their industry. Teachers unions often engage in propaganda warfare against challenges to the public school system. They stand very much against any competitive challenges to their monopoly power, like charter schools, private instruction, and of course home schooling. The reason is that the unions wish to discourage competition no matter what industry is in question. The film critic does the same for their union brothers and sisters in the industry by defending their right to be employed by producers who make their films without the union label of Southern California. The unions and the pawn movie critics would have the consumer believe that a film made in Australia by an American producer is somehow less quality than the films made in Southern California.

Movie critics are advocates for progressive politics. The same critics that will proclaim that The Black Swan was a wonderful film because the characters are so imperfect and complicated will declare that Red Tails is simplistic and silly. These are critics with a social agenda and are attempting to shape the movie industry with progressive politics instead of box office results. This is why Hollywood has seen sagging sales.

The key to Red Tails is that the black characters are not tragic victims of their fate. They are heroes, and they are that way because they strove to prove they are every bit as good as their white counterparts. Red Tails has a fundamental message of self empowerment, and to the progressive community this is a big problem. Progressives seek to make people victims, not to see individuals empowered. So the message of Red Tails is very unprogressive. The black pilots empower themselves. They don’t wait for someone to recognize their efforts. They take the offensive to earn respect first from themselves, then from their white counterparts. The message is really powerful in Red Tails, and every young child should see it. The movie is deciding old fashioned. It even has closed mouthed kissing between a man and a woman. Red Tails is the closest film we are going to find that is a throwback to the kind of films the Disney Company used to make.

Movie critics as much as they wish they could shape the world to their progressive vision can’t do much when filmmakers like George Lucas bypasses the Hollywood system and makes his movies the way he wants to. It infuriates those progressive types who jealously look at Lucas and expect that they should have some of what he has, that they could somehow make movies as good as George. Who is the movie critic to question George Lucas, the creator of the most recognized films in the history of Hollywood? Do those movie critics possess the creative impulse to make anything from nothing except criticize the work of those who chose to remain independent of the Hollywood system?

I’d say Lucas knows more about film, and about life than any collection of movie critics. Like the teachers in the profession of looting the good deeds built by the parents raising their child, the movie critic loots off the success of people like Lucas who make films other studios attempt to copy, because Lucas films make money. So the critic makes their living attempting to tear down filmmakers like Lucas so that they can help lower the bar for their entertainment labor friends from the lofty heights that George Lucas has set for Hollywood. Yet without George Lucas Hollywood would have probably destroyed itself by now. It was well on its way to doing just that in the late 60’s. George Lucas is to the movie industry what John Galt is to the book Atlas Shrugged.

The looters of Hollywood know they are nothing without people like George Lucas, and they hate him for it. They make fun of his films and hope to spread by bad reviews information hoping that Lucas might fail. And someday Lucas might. But it won’t be in the movie Red Tails, because in spite of the Hollywood machine attempting to derail a picture that empowers young black men to rise to their own station in life, and to break the rules if need be to achieve it, the movie is successful because it does what movie fans desire, it gives hope to the audience. It brings magic to the screen and seeks to make icons out of supposed victims which cut to the core of progressive political belief, which is to exist for the sake of altruism, and not the glory of the individual in a quest of psychological and physical redemption.

Red Tails is good because it understands the elusive quality of ambition in the heart of the fortune seeker. It is everything that the modern progressive despises, which is why Red Tails will continue to make money well into the months to come. It’s a movie people want to see, as opposed to the pretentious junk endorsed by progressive movie critics, trained in their progressive colleges, where they learned all they know from old hippie professors who make six figures for doing nothing but braiding their pony tails. Red Tails steps over the value of the movie critic and the Hollywood studio system completely and Lucas smiles for the same reason I am still as I conclude here. Lucas knows that once Red Tails is proven a box office success, the looters will attempt to attach themselves to him, instead of attacking him, because they have no choice. They are nothing without creators like Lucas, and will have to tuck their heads in the sand and shut their mouth as visionaries continue to prove the worthlessness of the movie critics in the roll of modern cinema.

Now dear reader, you are probably wondering why I mentioned the relevancy of the teaching profession alongside the credibility of the movie critic. Well, it’s because both occupations are filled with good intentions, but end up failing as a result. People like Lucas think outside the confines of conventional thought and our society is better because of people like him. And as harsh as the Hollywood machine attempted to slam Red Tails so the film would lose money and dash any future films from becoming a reality, it is the movie critic who hopes to eliminate from our minds all traces of Walt Disney’s Davy Crockett, or John Wayne’s films, and replace those strong movie characters with flawed human beings who look to a progressive government for a helping hand. But Lucas doesn’t just make movies, he is also an innovator in education, and if public education listened to Lucas, they would become much more effective in teaching children relevant skills. So it is the establishments, the teachers unions, and the movie critics who attempt to shield the public from the enlightenment of true innovators like Lucas. And once they realize they have failed, they will then seek to loot the idea for themselves. That is why Red Tails will win Academy Awards in the spring of 2013. Teachers will also lash out to any change until they are forced to accept innovations, and once they do, education will change forever for the better, and the same mind that created Star Wars, and now Red Tails, is also providing innovation for education. You can check out the website of this education innovation here:

http://www.lucaslearning.com/

As usual, all that stands between innovation and stagnation are the critics. And if we are ever to move forward, we must shut down those voices that use fear and weakness to hold our society to the stone age of thinking simply because they are the true weak links, and are too lazy to advance their thinking to adhere to the visionaries of our society. The M.O. of the critic is to chastise the forward thinker out of fear, and security for the livelihoods the looting critic created for themselves. The critic would prefer a life in chains because they at least have control the chains so long as the population willingly confines itself to their weaknesses instead of reaching forward with their dreams and innovation that is always propelling society forward with new ideas by embracing what worked in the past. That’s why Red Tails and George Lucas are, and will continue to be successful. The human race would be a lot happier if they just stopped hanging on to their empires and embraced the dreamers so that we could all move forward instead of reflecting the wars and corruption of the little dictators who populate the earth using fear as their weapon, and a feeble grasp of an intellectual mandate.

Jonathan West the Nameplate God: Be thankful for Virgin Galactic!

A young man the other day was complaining to me that he thought we’d have flying cars by now. He reminded me that in the film Back to the Future 2, flying cars were in fact a reality in the year 2015. I told him not to fear, that a flying car did in fact exist right now. All he had to do to see it was visit www.mollar.com  SEE MY ARTICLE ON FLYING CARS HERE:

https://overmanwarrior.wordpress.com/2011/01/22/fly-a-skycar-today-the-future-of-transportation/

“Well, why don’t we have them yet?” he asked. “Why can’t I buy one now?”

I told him, “Because of government regulation.”

As I made that statement I was thinking of a friend of mine who is trying to build a Frisch’s in Liberty Twp by Lakota East, which all logic would dictate should be a slam dunk. Everyone likes Frisch’s. It is the perfect community meeting place and there is almost no downside to that type of commercial business. It’s another taxable revenue source, its family friendly and attractive to potential home buyers. It’s a win, win, win all the way across the board. But the Director of Zoning in Liberty Twp, Jonathan West is holding up the project because he has a rule that buildings such as restaurants cannot have statues in front of them, and anyone who knows anything about Frisch’s knows that they always have a statue of the Big Boy in front of the restaurant, always.

I can only speculate on why Jonathan West is holding up this development over a simple statue, but by experience in dealing with hundreds of people similar to him, it’s all in the nameplate. TO LEARN WHAT THE NAME PLATE GODS ARE, CLICK THIS HOT LINK. There isn’t any real logic to such a statue provision, yet it’s there and holding up something as obviously good as a Frisch’s Restaurant in a clearly commercial area. So for more complicated creations such as Flying Cars, medical improvements, and virtually all inventions that improve on an existing job sector, it is nearly impossible to get anything approved through the “Nameplate Gods.” It is in their infantile little minds that they cling to the past where they control the information. They are in fact the characters in Plato’s Republic who control the shadows on the wall. I wrote an entire article about this complex. You can read that here:

https://overmanwarrior.wordpress.com/2011/02/13/the-end-of-america-an-interview-of-porter-standsberry-and-why-s-b-5-is-so-important/

If you want to see more of what we are missing in medicine, which Nameplate Gods in the pharmaceutical industry are holding back in the same way that Jonathan West is holding back a Frisch’s in my local community I have an article about that too at the next link. Chances are you have a John West in your community, and there are thousands upon thousands of them in the state and federal government, and they keep all of us from having the technology I show in this article: (DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND WATCH ALL THOSE VIDEOS COMPLETELY. IT’S REAL)

https://overmanwarrior.wordpress.com/2011/02/08/the-future-of-medicine/

I told the young man who in just twenty years, aging could be a thing of the past. This nonsense of driving a car everywhere will be grossly outdated. You’ll simply get into your SKYCAR and punch in your destination the same way you operate MAPQUEST and the car will take you there while you sleep. For instance, if you wanted to fly down to Disney World for the weekend but you want to stay up with your friends the night before you could do both. You could go to your SKYCAR dead tired and ready for bed, punch in your destination and wake up in Florida 5 to 6 hours later. The Sky Lanes set up by NASA and the GPS system would speak to your SKYCAR and fly you up to a ceiling of 30,000 feet and a speed of 300 MPH while you slept. It will be as common to your life of tomorrow as an IPhone is to you now.

The young man looked at me,“are you serious?”

“YESSSSSSSSSSS” I said jumping up and down. “We allow politicians to hold us down, but the human mind is pressing forward anyway. It’s going on ahead and busting from the shackles of ignorance.”

He looked at me puzzled. So I answered the question I knew he wanted to ask. “Why do you think I hate unions? Why do you think I want to see education expand and become innovative? It’s not that I hate teachers, but they are protecting themselves and a static order to the old world. This new world is there for us to grab, and we must seize it!!!!! NOW!!!!!!! We cannot allow the Nameplate Gods to hold back our civilization!”

I was excited more than usual during this conversation because of the new Spaceport built in New Mexico which cost the taxpayers $209 million and centers around the new spacecraft built for Virgin Galactic which will take passengers into space for the first time in human history. See the source article of my excitement here:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-2050328/Spaceport-America-Richard-Branson-opens-209m-space-terminal-New-Mexico.html

I was in Florida over the summer at Cape Canaveral and there was a gloom over the area from the budget cuts by small-minded politicians like what President Obama had implemented for NASA. I told my friends in the Aerospace community that getting government out of space travel was a great thing. Yes NASA is one of the few government organizations that actually work. (CLICK THIS HOTLINK TO SEE HOW). I wrote this next article to rest their minds and let them see where the world was going. At the end of it I mentioned Virgin Galactic as a ray of hope.

https://overmanwarrior.wordpress.com/2011/03/11/the-space-race-is-just-beginning-as-the-space-shuttles-end/

Richard Branson is one of my favorite people on this planet and I think it’s wonderful that he has 200 customers on his Virgin Galactic list to spend $200,000 a ticket to fly into space, and return back to earth. That will generate $40 million dollars minus expenses and that’s only the beginning. If Branson can get Virgin Galactic to where it’s producing billions of dollars per year, then that investment will far outpace the kind of spending that NASA has been regulated to, and mankind will finally leap into space for good after being a prisoner to earth for all of human history.

Rather than speak about Branson and Virgin Galactic, I’ll let the videos and links speak on that. Instead, let me give you my dear reader a preview into what’s in store. Now that Virgin Galactic has built a practical craft that does not consume massive amounts of fuel to propel a craft into space past escape velocity with a ballistic missile, we can finally take people affordably into space routinely. This means that just as cruise ships now are vacation destinations, there will be hotels in space soon. Look for a new Hilton to be built as a space station in the foreseeable future. Vacations in space are within reach. From there manufacturing will move into orbit. Imagine what could be built in a zero g environment. What about agriculture, where a space platform could always face the sun? 24 hours a day there would be light. Think how large plants could grow without having to fight gravity? Where does the water come from? Why mining on the moon of course. The gravity is less there and much more obtainable. That’s also where materials for manufacturing would come from. What about garbage and waste on earth? We will now be able to fly it off planet and dump it into space to be consumed into some atmosphere 100,000 light years away. Now that’s GREEN TECHNOLOGY! Manufacture in SPACE!

The options suddenly become limitless, and when you consider all the agendas of the progressive party, those green tech Nameplate Gods, they are stuck in the 70’s with electric cars that only go 100 miles between charges and solar energy that is fixed to the top of a house. The future is not in their small minds, it’s out there! Look up at it to what you cannot see, because it’s there!!!!!!!

So while the small people in this world argue over why Frisch’s cannot build a new restaurant because of a statue, people like Richard Branson, and Paul Mollar are inventing the world of tomorrow.

The world is just now coming to grips the genius of Steve Jobs. They still don’t understand the genius of people like Walt Disney, who didn’t even graduate high school. They continue to be baffled by my personal favorite in George Lucas who is so forward thinking many people can’t even see his caboose. CLICK THE LINK BELOW TO UNDERSTAND WHY THIS IS. I HAVE A CHART WHICH EXPLAINS IT.

https://overmanwarrior.wordpress.com/2010/08/21/what-is-an-overmanwarrior-and-the-train-metaphor/

The sin of the modern age is the same as it was for Christopher Columbus who tried to convince people who the earth was round, as the Vikings had already discovered. Many people who didn’t want the change in perception insisted that the earth was flat, yet there were those who knew better. Today we have labor unions and government bureaucrats who make a living off seeing the world as a flat plain, and they scoff and belittle those who say otherwise. Thank goodness there are people like Richard Branson and his Virgin Galactic. And thank goodness there are companies like Frisch’s. But the reason we often can’t have the benefits of vision, and investment is because of people like Jonathan West, who use the Nameplate of their position to fulfill everything they could never be on their own merit. They are the types who proclaim that the world is flat, that space travel for civilians is science fiction, and that you can’t have a Big Boy statue in front of a Frisch’s Restaurant, because once we discover otherwise, we will learn that such people are irrelevant to us, and unnecessarily hold back the entire civilization of the human race, and are tyrants as ruthless as the most despicable despot because their motives are the same; to control those who have money, to control those who innovate, because the Nameplate Gods lack the ability in themselves to do the same. They hold society back to their level of comfort. They are why we don’t have Flying Cars.

I look forward to the day where I can go to a Frisch’s on Cincinnati Dayton road before heading to a local Spaceport on vacation to earth’s orbit with my wife to relax a bit in zero G’s. Although that may seem like a long way off, it takes about that long to get things approved through bureaucrats like Jonathan West. Let’s just hope that West’s next job doesn’t end up on the board of Orbital Building Code Administrators, where he will have to approve the building the first Orbital Hotel, because he might get upset if they want to build it with a statue facing earth and hold up the construction for decades.

Cloaks of Deception: How Diana Frey is like Star Wars

It has been a difficult couple of weeks, the worst of which was the news that my editor had been particularly affected when Hurricane Irene hit the East Coast. She was so affected that she was unable to continue on with the task of editing my new book, since she needs time off to recover from the damage. So the publisher is assigning me someone else, which in the world of publishing is kind of like a “blind date,” you aren’t sure how much common ground you’ll have, and whether or not the relationship will be fruitful. But that’s the nature of business. When devastation strikes people you respect and care about, your heart goes out to them, but the objectives of business must march on.

As the news of my editor sent my publisher and me into a scramble, Diana Frey the former head of the union CODE was terminated by Milton Dohoney a month and a half after she was indicted for stealing $757,000 from her union members to primarily invest in real estate projects. This news was the recent topic of Doc Thompson on 700 WLW as he contemplated many of the facets of the public union debate and asked the question as to why more union members don’t question the practices that have led to the type of behavior that allowed Frey to steal so much money from her members in plain sight of the management controls which should have prevented such a thing. Click here to listen to that very entertaining broadcast.

The answer as to why Frey was able to do what she did was because unions and government function from static patterns. CLICK THIS LINK TO LEARN MORE ABOUT STATIC AND DYNAMIC PATTERNS FOR REFERENCE:

https://overmanwarrior.wordpress.com/2011/08/23/why-public-labor-unions-fail-the-science-of-stagnation/

The static patterns of government and the union did not allow for the possibility of a dynamic pattern of ruthlessness to steal so much money, so nobody was looking for it. The assumption in the union and all members involved was that people are inherently good, and that the union was a “brotherhood” where what’s good for one is good for all. So the selfish actions of Diana Frey was something that the members of the union refused to see, because such an action did not fit within the confines of their static pattern reality. This is how crooks, thieves and other criminals take advantage of the masses most effectively; they work outside the static patterns of society which works as a psychological cloak against the many eyes which have equal ability to spot the trouble.

This is why ISSUE 2 is such an important law. Diana Frey was not the first and certainly not the last union leader or politician who will take advantage of their power position to enrich themselves. And she is not the first to use the static patterns of society to hide their true intentions. In fact, many of the school levies on the ballot this year are using the static patterns of social education perception, sports, college prep, real estate value to disguise the labor union looting of the public treasury where the real intent are excessive wages and benefits for their members. It has nothing to do with the education of children. ISSUE 2 will allow the dynamic elements of society, to question things that aren’t right, and bring it to the attention of those who are stuck in static thinking, which simply can’t see it.

One of the most popular art forms which exemplify this static and dynamic tendency is the film series Star Wars. When people talk about Star Wars most people will say that they enjoy the older films more than the newer films. The complaint is that the new films are boring and discuss politics too much. Well, I don’t think that’s the real reason. The real reason that people like the older films over the newer films is by design. If Lucas had come out with the new series first, Star Wars would have never been popular. The series would have died off a long time ago. The original series, episodes 4 through 6 are all about Dynamic Quality. The rebellion is a dynamic static pattern confronting the static pattern of the Evil Empire. It’s the classic struggle, the David versus Goliath principle. Goliath did not expect David to simply launch a rock to hit the much larger man in the forehead. Goliath loses because in his static pattern thought there would be a great battle, where he would use his size against the much smaller David to defeat the little man. In Star Wars the small rebellion fires one small torpedo into the giant Death Star to blow it up and end the tyrannical super weapon of the Empire. It’s all the same stuff.

But in Episodes 1 through 3, known as the Prequels, the story is all about the rise of that Empire to power. Those films are about how the good guys, stuck in a static pattern of their own, failed to see the evil of Senator Palpatine who would become Emperor of the growing Empire in his power grabs which occurred right under the noses of the well respected Jedi.

The Jedi Council with all their wisdom and sage-like understanding rooted in thousands of years of defending the Old Republic from aggressive enemies, with the ability to even read the minds of people, could not see the actions of Senator Palpatine who had befriended the Jedi Council and used that relationship against the Jedi to hide his true intentions; the destruction of the Republic and the creation of an Empire of which he would lead.

Star Wars is based on actual history. The Emperor Nero comes to mind, Herod, many of the Greek classics, Genghis Khan, Mao Tse Tung, Ho Chi Minh, name your dictator, Star Wars was clearly intended to teach society how the process happens. And the genius of George Lucas, what he learned when he tried to tell that story the other way around, the mistake he made with his film THX-1138, is that the audience will reject a negative no matter how important or good the message is: SEE MY THOUGHTS ABOUT THIS FILM HERE:

https://overmanwarrior.wordpress.com/2011/05/06/thx-1138-a-great-movie-where-our-current-education-system-is-taking-us/

Lucas knew from experience that the public would reject the Star Wars films if he started with the collapse of a static pattern looked after by the socially good and the evil dynamic was the actual protagonist, Star Wars would not have been so accepted and loved, so he began his story with the collapse of an evil static pattern to be replaced with a dynamic good pattern. Once he had a captive audience hungry for more, he had a portion of society who was prepared to hear his message. This is the message he tried to tell in films like Apocalypse Now, and American Graffiti as well, but never quite hit the mark until he moved the story to Star Wars, a world of his own making to create the tapestry in which to tell such a complex tale that worked at many psychological levels.

These static patterns are what are at play now, and dynamic thinking people can see them clearly, even if most people can’t. But the answer to how Diana Frey was able to commit her crime is because she used the static pattern of the union to pull off her heist, and that will happen again. Issue 2 allows people who think in a dynamic fashion to spot such criminals before they cause millions and millions of dollars in damage through fraud and waste on their own personal quests for power and control.

My good friend from Michigan, Matt Clark sent me the bumper clip to his upcoming show this Sunday at 1 PM on the ClarkCast radio network. I received the clip at about 2 AM this past morning and enjoyed it very much, because Matt, who is a Star Wars fan, and a young historian understands everything I just stated, and he assembled the perfect clip to tell the story of our modern-day issues, static patterns where people like James Hoffa and Barack Obama seek to pull off their own crimes against our American Republic in an act that is sadly not fictional. But Matt captured the spirit of these acts against the backdrop of Star Wars, which puts it in perspective for all those poor people who are suffering, just like the Jedi Council in Star Wars from not seeing the real menace to their lives which are unfolding right in front of them, and because they “won’t” see the menace because of their trust in their static patterns of daily life, the menace threatens to impact their lives in very negative ways. At the minimum affect our taxes increase, which means that we must work harder to support these thieves. But at the maximum, the very nature of our government is at risk which means our fundamental freedoms are a target. And Matt captured that threat perfectly in his bumper clip. Have a listen to hear that broadcast and clips from his show:

If more people developed the ability to see the Diana Frey’s of the world well before the crimes were ever committed, there wouldn’t be a need for laws like Issue 2. But unfortunately, they can’t and it will require those who think dynamically to point these evils out while they are still invisible to the rest of society, so that robberies of the public treasury can be greatly minimized, and the need for tax increases to compensate for that theft can be averted.

American Air Supremacy: But do we have the courage to keep it?

Zero’s Kates and Vals appeared over the crowd as explosions went off everywhere in the blistering July heat. The heat index was 115 degrees on the runway and the sun was relentless as the roar of World War II piston engine craft filled the sky with an unmistakable pulse. The re-enactment of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor was underway by a group of stunt pilots flying restored fighters in a pyrotechnic reminder of just how badly governments of the world have desired to extinguish the power of personal liberty known as the United States. The show known as Tora! Tora! Tora was just one of the many shows displayed at the 2011 Vectren Dayton Air Show, but for me it was the best because of my love of piston engine aircraft. You can see my personal video of that show and other highlights here:

I’ll have to give Michael Emoff (Chairman U.S. Air and Trade Show Board of Trustees) credit; the seats from The Chairman’s Club were as good as it gets for a show of this magnitude. The catered food all morning and into the afternoon was wonderfully refreshing, as was the constant supply of 6 different beer selections. But the truckloads of bottled water were essential, and made the show a comfortable success. I cannot argue that the entire show took place in my lap from that vantage point, and it was a delightful endeavor. On the other side of the fence, the massive hoard of a crowd packed in close to see the action, and it looked hot over there, with no room to breathe for many people.

The Chairman’s Club is a section set up for exclusive guests and many in the aviation business comfortably packed the tables in front of the gigantic mess hall tent, which did lower the temperature considerably with its high vaulted ceilings that allowed the hot air someplace to go, and to cool. It was a good design. The ice cream prior to the Thunderbirds show was a nice touch even if it did melt in a matter of minutes. As is the custom, many of the pilots and parachutists come to The Chairman’s Club to refresh after their portion of the show and meet some of the guests who help put their planes in the air. It is a chance for both sides of the aviation business to meet each other up close and personal. I told one of the guys who had drug his parachute into the area to repack after he had landed just moments after falling from 16,000 feet, “Bet you wish you were still up there.”

He looked at me and laughed, “It’s about 50 degrees up there. It’s a scorcher down here.” Sweat dripped off his forehead as he folded his pack over tightly.

The F/A-18 pilots came and took turns taking pictures with many of the GE employees present. For many of them it was a moment of pride to see the Super Hornet’s take off from the tarmac and go almost instantly vertical. The clouds dotting the sky prevented long runs at the airstrip, so the F/A-18’s kept their speeds under the speed of sound, but the vibration and roar of those F414-GE-400 engines brought a line of high level employees to the pilots when they showed up for some relief from the heat and to provide the customary pictures and autographs.

It was obvious that even from the pilots faces that The Chairman’s Club was an oasis upon that landscape of blistering heat that was closest to the flight line and the first stop to recharge their bodies.

But even with all the high performance displays of the F/A-18’s, the Thunderbirds in the F-16’s, The B-1B Lancer with its 30,780 pounds of afterburner thrust, the fantastic modified stunt plane by Oracle called the Oracle Challenger, specially built for Sean D. Tucker and his fantastic aerobatics with jaw-dropping stunts, it was the World War ll era fighters that I found the most attachment to.

There was a Corsair in the air which set my mind back to the heroics of Tex Hill, after Hill completed his tour of duty with General Clair Chennault and the Flying Tigers over China. There was a B-25 Mitchell that I’ve always loved, the sound of the 2 Curtiss-Wright Twin Cyclone engines pushing out 1,700 hp each punching the air with American brutality. It was the B-25 that made up the 16 bombers who took off from an aircraft carrier to bomb Tokyo five months after Peril Harbor on a mission known as The Doolittle Raiders. I had the opportunity to get up close and personal with this plane during the show which I included in my video because of the distinctive sound of its engine. The plane is the prototype of what would become the fantasy of The Millennium Falcon in Star Wars, and it’s a favorite of mine. It was the display of Tora! Tora! Tora! That captured my attention the most.

During that re-enactment of the bombing of Peril Harbor the planes flew in multiple trajectories, crossing each other in complicated ways through smoke and explosions. Many of the planes made bombing runs 20 to 30 feet over the runway multiple times, which was impressive. A reminder of what governments are capable of cannot be ignored when anybody attending this air show can witness firsthand the power at play through the machines of aviation in defense of freedom.

America without any question invented aviation, and that birthplace was Dayton, Ohio, which gives the Dayton Air Show added meaning. It was the Wright Brothers who using good-ol’ America horse-sense invented flight with a kite like plane built on the principles of a bicycle. It was the bravery of people like Chuck Yeager, Tex Hill, The Doolittle Raiders and Howard Hughes who pushed what flight could accomplish in war to advance aviation to the levels seen in this show. Case in point, the B-2 Bomber made an appearance; it took off from Arizona that morning, arrived at preciously the correct time just a few hours later in Dayton. It made two passes of the air field blasting its engines on the second pass, then heading to Peoria, Illinois for another air-show just 45 minutes away for that craft, on schedule of course. The B-2 would then land back at its home base, it’s pilots home in time for dinner after traveling all over the United States in the course of the day. The B-2 is the culmination of years of bravery and technical innovation. It is evident when attending air-shows like this, that if an enemy of the United States wanted to attack America, like the Japanese did at Peril Harbor, and the Soviet Union attempted to do in the space race economically, and failed, that the heart of America, the spirit that advanced aviation to the modern levels of the B-2 bomber would have to be removed. No country in the world can compete with the United States because of America’s development of aviation.

If one cares to understand the mind of the enemy, and America will always have enemies, they will read what the enemy does. The most recent is the radical Islamic elements in the middle-east, those old empire builders of the Persian Empire who still despise America for its role in dividing up the Middle East after the Treaty of Versailles, or the Chinese communists who fought America in Korea through support of North Korea, and Vietnam with Russian support. There is no question that in many palaces and luxury meeting rooms all across this world the topic comes up, “How do we get rid of America.” It is clear in the Sun Tzu classic, which I personally studied for over 10 years, The Art of War, that the best way to destroy your enemy is by prevailing over those who have already lost. That is the essence of that classic piece of literature which is currently studied aggressively by Chinese and Japanese military, government and business leaders. And the way to beat America is to convince Americans to strap themselves down in debt, so they do not have the money to spend on their wonderful aviation and technological development.

The Space Shuttle Program just ended. Under the Obama administration NASA along with the Joint Strike Fighter have both been targeted for elimination because America has spent itself into catastrophe, and is no longer making investments into aviation like it has over the last century, culminating into the B-2 Bomber.

The F135 Joint Strike Fighter has also hit the chopping block, at least it’s back-up GE/Roll Royce engine. It is easy to see who America’s enemies are because they are against the construction of this next generation aircraft.

It is interesting to hear what people on the political left think are appropriate in debating budget negotiations. Listen to this simple-minded person talk about the budget battle taking place, and what is appropriate in that conflict. Obama and his people are big union supporters, and Lockheed Martin, GE and most in aviation that are behind the Joint Strike Fighter are giant unions, yet there are many who subscribe to the theories of cutting defense spending and NASA to pay for the destructive entitlement programs created by politicians to purchase votes. Those same people believe that the right thinks just as devious as the left. They are all off the mark in my opinion, but aviation to me expands America in every possible way, and should not be negotiated with by either side as some type of bargaining chip. Everyone wins in aviation no matter what the political affiliation left, right or middle. The only losers are other competing countries.

What is the RT? That’s an English-speaking progressive channel that stands for Russia Today. That’s why the temperature in Moscow is listed in the bottom corner. They are a propaganda arm of modern Russia, and if you think they don’t still have a grudge against America, they were one of the few countries to not accept the full title of the recent Hollywood film, Captain America.

As I watched the Dayton Air Show it was apparent to me that many of the enemies of America are now attempting to destabilize the United States not with stealth weapons, or even spies. They are trying a much more sinister weapon called progressivism, which is designed to lower American defenses, drain our wealth and keep us from spending money on the kind of technology on display at the air show, because the enemies of the United States cannot reach that level of technology. All they can really do is corrupt our youth into becoming lost adults who don’t remember Pearl Harbor or people like Tex Hill.

Progressives are attempting to inspire the youth culture to live aimless lives with an un-heroic pretense. Those enemies will do everything they can to topple the United States from the inside out, because that is the only way they can rule the planet, and their respective portions of the world. For now, they’ll use the United Nations for their own agenda, but once America is gone, and the money it puts into supporting world peace with it, the tyrants will have a new day and chance at spreading their tyranny across the face of the plant.

How can I say such a thing? Entertainment is always a great measuring stick to the values of a culture who produces it.

In some future air show, people will attend and wonder how a civilization who built such fantastic ancient machines like the Joint Strike Fighter, and the B-2 Bomber simply disappeared and stopped the technological advances that America seemed poised to create.

As I watched the F/A-18F pilots stand with a group of people in The Chairman’s Club under the elite protection of all the elements present, the people who build the planes and the pilots who fly them, I wondered how many of those people really understood the fight that was really happening outside those protected confines, out beyond the crowd of burnt up citizens scanning into the heavens at the fantastic aerial display going on in the sky, or the small children buying toy air planes from a vender proudly holding the toys as if they were treasures more valuable than gold, because the toys themselves represent power, and freedom. Who among anybody really understood the games being played and the stake of the games, which with all the proud patriotic celebration of the past that the future is in such jeopardy, did anybody really know?

I don’t believe many of those people out of the thousands around me really put much thought into it. As long as the beer was cold, the catered chicken and beef cooked to perfection, and the side dishes were immaculate, the politics of the day were other people’s problem. The air show was to be enjoyed and once over, we would all return to our VIP parking spots right outside the fence and be on Highway 75 before most of the other people would be headed to the vast parking lots packed with cars over a half a mile away. And of all those masses, the focus was on the past, at what we had done in that past both distant and recent. But the future is in jeopardy if that same American spirit that put those planes in the air does not survive the peril of progressivism, given to the United States from foreign enemies by spies and double-agents using the long proven instructions spelled out in Sun Tzu’s, The Art of War.

Learning what a Republic is: The Continued Lessons of Star Wars

I could not help but notice at my favorite book store that many of the works that I used to only find online, are now in stock, on the shelf. Work by Thomas Paine, John Locke, and all the works of Ayn Rand are easy to find, and this is fantastic news because people are hungry for knowledge. The Federalist Papers are even now stocked on the shelf in abundance. Ten years ago it was only law students who bought copies of it, now it’s an older man in his upper 60’s as I watched him thumb through it’s pages prior to purchase.

Political discussion is often not just about the topics on the nightly news. Recently, a friend of mine gave me a copy of The Original Argument, which was endorsed by Glenn Beck as a way to explain in today’s language the meaning of The Federalist Papers. I enjoyed The Original Argument so much that I read it twice while on vacation recently, and it occurred to me that The Original Argument was not a rule book so to speak intended for lawyers, but it is a political philosophy that speaks a truth established by 4000 years of human history. It does not belong in the political science section in a book store, but in the philosophy section.

But as a friend of mine uttered in frustration the other day, “what are we to do about all this!” The frustration of thinking all their lives that everything was OK in the world, and that politicians were sleazy, but not considered downright evil, and finding out that in fact there are many things that have been going on that people are just learning about because they are reading again, can be very overwhelming. Catching up on 200 years of American history in the span of a year or two like many Tea Party enthusiast are doing can send a person to burn out quick. So it’s important that people remember to have fun along the way. It’s even better if people can learn while they are having fun. Fans of Glenn Beck will notice that Beck is an obvious Star Wars fan. It will also be noticed that there are a lot of Tea Party patriots who are increasingly creating Twitter accounts along the lines of “Jedi Patriot” and “Empire Fighter” in an obvious homage to Star Wars. In our modern age, Star Wars has become a form of modern philosophy, not just simply entertainment. Star Wars is a great way to think about all the things that are going on in the world around us, while also taking a vacation from the intensity of those revelations. After all, the film The Phantom Menace was not about a young boy who grew up and became Darth Vader. That is just one of the sub plots. The Phantom Menace was all about a senator who wants to be emperor, and he uses many people in obscure ways to create the circumstances that will allow him to grab power for himself. It’s all in good old-fashioned fun, but the sincerity behind The Phantom Menace is actually incredibly sophisticated, which is the genius of Star Wars.

The films of Star Wars consist of only 6 two-hour movies and that is what a majority of the fans think of when they hear the name of Star Wars. But for fans who wish to dig deeper, Star Wars tackles many of the problems of our modern times using the language of mythology and the latest entry to that mythology is the MMO computer game called The Old Republic due out later this year and it’s something my wife and I are looking very much forward to.

Glenn Beck uses Star Wars metaphors to explain many of the complicated topics of our day because Star Wars is the only work of art in modern times which attempts to tackle the complicated nature of human failure and evolution as a species. Star Wars is a basic tale of good and evil, but it goes much deeper. With over 100 books, the 6 movies, cartoons, video games, comic books, amusement park rides, Star Wars is a formidable aspect of modern culture which I’ve written about in detail at this article: CLICK HERE

What is even bolder within this Star Wars mythology is this whole new path the franchise is taking in exploring The Old Republic. There are now two novels and two videos games with the addition of the computer game being previewed here, which explores what life was like in The Old Republic which takes place over a thousand years before the events shown in the films most people are familiar with. The idea of the Sith, the villains in Star Wars is to explore the influence of evil and this is done not just in a spiritual way in these stories, but also in a political way. It is the first work of art that I can think of which has mass appeal that attempts to do anything like this. It does not limit itself as an examination of religious influence, or political study, but as an all-encompassing investigation through the story lines of what causes the rise and fall of civilizations.

I am a fan of the works of writers like Thomas Mann and his Magic Mountain, and Oswald Spengler’s The Decline of the West, and I will state in that context the collected works of Star Wars are every bit as sophisticated and meaningful. In Star Wars the entire galaxy is part of a republic. Not a democracy, but a republic. This is similar to what planet Earth is facing in whose political philosophy will emerge as the world shrinks, will it be a republic like what the United States has had so much success with, or will it be various degrees of socialism similar to what Europe and many eastern countries have experimented with.

The most important contribution is that in the galactic government of Star Wars, it’s a republic that is pursued, and provides an interesting model for how Earth should proceed. It is the Republic of the United States of America that should teach the rest of the world how to be a free people, produce their goods under the umbrella of capitalism, and interact with one another with respect under that accepted philosophy.

What gives me hope is that Star Wars is the best education device that young people have to counter what they are learning in public education, and politicians who crave socialism where the philosophy of a republic is not taught to them. It is entertainment that is providing the best education to society, and because of the popularity of Star Wars it is evidence that many people are learning about it.

Glenn Beck understands that Star Wars is a modern work of political philosophy and science. When people who love freedom want to know how America is supposed to function, books like The Original Argument are fantastic. But it cannot be disputed that free life will always stay within the confines of the United States borders. As the evidence of illegal immigration have shown, millions of people all over the world want to become a part of the Republic of the United States and we owe it to those people in America to help not just open our borders to them, but to expand the freedom we experience to those far reaches of the globe so that there can be a grand Republic of Earth. And to get an idea of how to do that, Star Wars is the best work of art available to help show how that process should look, and what type of hurdles will stand in the way, so that freedom can be experienced by anything that breathes world-wide.

So before going crazy, choking on all this information that has always been there, but is being re-discovered, it is good to have a device that can give your mind a vacation. For me, it’s a love of pirates, and Star Wars. Star Wars allows the mind to swell without limits without becoming lost in the fantasy. And I look very much forward to the age when the kids who are growing up with this expanded universe of Star Wars start to run the country, because that is a time when things will dramatically change for the better, because they will understand that America is a republic and not a democracy and the only hope the entire world has for freedom.

Liberty Twp Tea Party Turns Two Years Old: The Rise of a New Guard

The evening July 11,2011 sun beat hard upon the converted barn at the Niederman Farm where the Liberty Twp Tea Party met to celebrate their 2nd year.  There have been a lot of battles over the last couple of years, and as we gathered for the pot luck dinner it was evident that there would be a lot more.

As this meeting was taking place Obama and the local Speaker of the House John Boehner were battling over the budget and the debt ceiling.  Obama is approaching the negotiations as though various sides, Tea Party Republicans, moderate Republicans, Rhino Republicans, Blue Dog Democrats, Progressive Democrats, and far left radical Democrats all are committed to 100% of their particular positions, and must be prepared to give a little so everyone can agree.  As I scooped up some potato salad that my wife had made I wondered how a person like Obama could ever become president and even say such a thing.  There’s only one right answer, and the president is missing it.  There isn’t money for the programs his party have given away to buy votes.  That’s the bottom line folks.  All those various politicians have for years purchased votes using our tax money, and now those fools are stuck trying to explain why they’ve bankrupted the system.

The people around me at this gathering are all there for the same reason, we recognize that the government has let us down and taken the nation on a path it doesn’t want to go.  Not everyone has come to that realization yet, because they still hope that somewhere, there is a magical golden egg that will be laid by some golden goose.  Increasingly, these elected representatives are being seen not as leaders, but as con artists and thieves who have stolen from each of us and sold us back bath water claiming it to be an elixir of life.

While the various ceremonies of this event were going on the Lakota School System was voting for yet another school levy attempt literally right down the road, not more than 3 miles from our location.  In this meeting, everything that is wrong with the government can be seen in the microcosm of public education funding.  Public sector unions, politicians using their education support for votes, and school administrators hoping to use school boards as a political launch pad to become noticed by leaders of one of the two parties have bought into Keynesian economics, like the rest of the government, and they were wrong.

When John Keynes introduced his Keynesian economics model from the ever-increasing socialist tendencies of the rest of the world, politicians saw an opportunity to exploit that model for their own accents to public supported power.  Keynes was wrong, and every system using it is failing, including schools.  The correct answer is not more of the same theory, but something else completely.  In schools, the task is to convert over to that system without destroying the opportunities of the kids and parents who support the school.  But in education, just like all things in government, the prices of labor, of the services created by labor, and the revenue which supports the entire foundation are artificially inflated, because competition is not allowed to kill off the waste, because government protects those enterprises.  This drives up the costs everywhere for everybody.  And presidents like Obama and school boards like what we have at Lakota, only know to close that inflated value with increased taxes.  They can’t understand any other option because their brains are not wired to accept anything else.

At Lakota they are going for a tax rate that is less than what they’ve asked for in the past. This is consistent with President Obama’s comments to Speaker Boehner, “You can’t get everything you’ve asked for.”  In the minds of these people bending a little on their political position is what the process is all about.

But it’s not.  There is only one right answer, not a mixed drink of many tastes.  With something like a budget deficit whether you’re talking about a local school district, or a Federal government, there is a way you got there, and to get out, you must do the opposite of what put you in that position.  That’s the only way.  If you spent a lot of money-making political promises that you didn’t have the authority to commit the tax payers to, or you are a school district that allowed a public sector teachers union to drive up your labor costs recklessly, then you have to admit that you were wrong, that you spent money that wasn’t yours just as a person addicted to gambling must admit that they have a problem before they can get help. You can’t throw more money at the addict, because they’ll never get better.  You have to take away their money so they can’t go to the casino anymore to throw away our money on some jackpot they hope will fix all their problems.

As I sat among friends and family I thought about the worst issue in the news of them all, and that’s the case of the murdered little girl in Florida, the Casey Anthony trial where the mother appears to have accidentally killed her little girl with an overdose of chloroform and drove around Florida with the body in the trunk for everyone to smell the decomposing body.  The girl was a reckless young woman, and the prosecution went for the death penalty for the severity of the crime.  Last week, Casey was found not guilty; the jurors didn’t have the inner compass of morality to be able to pass judgment on a peer.  Society has lost their ability to judge.

Most have anyway, except for the people having diner in a country barn with me on that hot July evening. Of American society, these people who the radicals advocating Keynesian economics, progressive global government without borders, and idealists who have never found their way out of the soviet fueled radicalism of the 60’s, those people call my friends here “teabaggers.”  “Teabaggers, meant to be a term of peer pressure, of insult, an attempt by those who are advocating evil openly, to keep society functioning with their eyes closed and hope that somehow their failed theories will somehow come true in the final hour, and if they don’t, they’ll be remembered for their compassion, and not as the thieves they truly are.

I feel privileged that after two years, the Liberty Twp Tea Party is still here, and it’s growing.  And it refreshes the soul to partake in these events, as the aroma of barn yard animals and community prepared food mixes in a unique waltz of perpetuity.  Because this is how it was in the beginning, and this is the way of the American, to always be ready for a fight, to roll up the sleeves and eat well before a hard day’s work, or the battle that looms on the horizon.  Because only by the path of those in this barn, is the path to liberty and freedom.  And the only right answer in the entire nation is present on the tongues of those in attendance, because they are the last of their kind and Americais waiting for them to fix the nation that has been hijacked by tyrants of good intention.

STAR WARS NEW RIDE: Star Tours and the discovery of a building on planet Mars!

Google Mars is a fascinating program. David Martines ran across a structure on the surface of Mars that makes no sense, yet it’s there. Did NASA build it? Did China build it? What about the Soviet Union? If not them, then perhaps another civilization all together, one that does not call Earth its home.

There are a number of unexplained phenomena that defy conventional explanation. Because some college professor with government grant money hasn’t yet discovered them, does not mean they don’t exist. In my opinion, I have seen human culture actually revert backward in this last century because of the stigmas of progressivism, so human invention is most often found best in science fiction and adventure films and books. Those are the realms the mind can comfortably explore possibilities beyond current human understanding.

I personally believe there are a number of archeological features on Mars that must be studied and when we go there, we’ll find out. I also believe that because of religious prejudice there are many eyes that have seen the same images that Mr. Martines has seen, but their belief system will not allow them to see truly what is there. It happens here on earth. We can’t even figure out if human’s have an impact on our own planet, or if the whole green movement is actually a socialist conspiracy, and this is happening on our home planet, let alone some plant next to us in the solar system, or even in another solar system, galaxy, or god forbid, a whole other universe.

It’s easy to get wrapped up in all the drama of all the important issues imposed upon us in these perilous times we are living in. But………………………………….all work and no play does not make an efficient human being. It is very, very good to take a minute and play from time to time.

For me, I have made my love of pirates well-known and I have wrote extensively about them here. But I’ve also wrote about Star Wars a lot also for virtually the same reasons. In such fiction there is a passionate love for freedom and an extreme dislike for tyranny. Tyranny to quote my teacher Joseph Campbell is all the “thou shalt not’s” in our life. It is in the realm of myth to become a dragon slayer to the “thou shalt not’s” and kill them boldly so that ideas may live and thrive without fear. Tyranny is anything that imposes itself on the free mind with intent to control, manipulate or engineer movement that is not authentic to an individual.

Star Wars is a wonderful invention of George Lucas that is a vacation for the mind. It doesn’t even take place in this in this Galaxy. So it is appropriate on the heels of this discovery by Mr. Martines, that George Lucas was in Florida to open the new ride, Star Tours 2, which closed last fall much to my displeasure. But I have been very eager to see the reopening which has just occurred over the last couple of weeks at Disney Hollywood Studios while news broke about the Mars discovery.

Among all the people on this planet, the hope I have for the human race comes from people like this. I go to events like this from time to time, and I adore the passion that is present. Every time Star Wars does something new, whether it’s a new book, video game, film, TV show, Fan Event, or a new ride like Star Tours, politics, prejudices, age stereotypes and gender affiliations are no longer a concern.

It is not an accident that people of all ages from all places love Star Wars. Star Wars is about all the purest notions present in the minds of humanity.

I’ve also talked a lot about this guy, George Lucas. Lucas is the creator of Star Wars, and has been on the forefront of most of the great innovations over the last 30 years. Our world is far better because of him. When Lucas says that his company, Lucasfilm started by a rebel from Modesto California and Disney, created by a guy that dropped out of high school are two of the most innovative companies of their kind in the world, he’s right, when those two companies get together, magic happens.

Whenever there is a big Star Wars event, such as this latest one at Hollywood Studios fans from all over the country show up in costume to celebrate unbridled creativity and the spirit of adventure.

As for the ride itself, here is a sneak peek at the actual ride itself.

During the opening ceremony officially commissioning the ride, George Lucas and Bob Iger join onstage to launch the ride. It was a grand spectacle worthy of the very best that the human imagination can produce.

Without question there are those out there that look at such events with bewilderment. I know such people and I feel sorry for them, because the magic of youth has left them. When I was young, I collected Star Wars toys, and I played with them even into my teens. Many of the young people growing up with me started to make fun of that kind of activity as they became interested in members of the opposite sex.

As a boy I was without question the fastest kid in my entire school. Nobody could run faster than me, in dodge ball I was always the last kid standing and I was one of the strongest. I won the pull-up contest in the winter Olympics event in the fifth grade; in fact I won the school equivalent of a gold medal. I was always really good at sports, all sports especially basketball and hockey, so of course a very pretty, very popular girl wanted to “go steady” with me, in the fifth grade. Now to the adults in my life, it looked as though I was headed in the right direction, cute girlfriend, the gym teacher was telling my parents that scholarships were in my future from any school of my choice because my physical abilities were unusually proficient, and aside from being very combative with my teachers, my future looked bright, except for that one small problem, I spent hours and hours and hours in the basement of my home playing Star Wars with my brother. My family couldn’t afford all the toys that Kenner was producing, so my brother and I built our own, all inspired from the Star Wars galaxy.

A very pretty girl who rode my bus was persistently letting me know she was interested in me. Under pressure from all the other “popular” girls that rode my school bus, and the boys that would soon become the “jocks” in later years, I told the little girl I’d go steady with her. Such a girl promised to be very adventurous. It was well-known that she would probably take off her clothes for me and let me do pretty much whatever I wanted, because she had said so to her girl friends intending me to find out. So I said yes.

At home that night I was doing the usual thing, eating my dinner as fast as possible so I could go downstairs and play Star Wars. During dinner that girl called me.

“Hello,” I said to her as my mom handed me the phone. My parents looked proudly at one another.

“Hey sweetie, what are you doing? I heard you said you’d go steady with me?” the little girl said.

I was looking at the clock. It was about 6:15 PM and I wanted to build a spaceship with some shoe boxes my mom had left in my room. I didn’t want to hang on the phone with some stupid girl. “Auh, yes.”

“So, can you get your mom to bring you over?”

“Tonight? To your house?” I said looking at my mom. I was thinking of the possibilities. This girl was one of those girls back then that had both parents with full occuapations so she was home by herself most of the time. In fact, during the summer, in her neighborhood most of the kids were home by themselves all summer because their parents were always working or too tired to pay attention to what the kids were doing.

“Yes silly, to my house. My mom is going to be gone till 9 and my dad is on a business trip. I’m here by myself and I want you to come over.”

I looked at my mom, my dad, and my brother who was ready to go downstairs and play Star Wars. “What are we going to do?”

The girl giggled on the other end of the phone. “We’ll think of something.”

I knew what that meant. This little girl had let quite a few of the boys she had “gone steady” with, see her naked, so that was what the girl had in mind. She figured that would seal the deal with me.

My life flashed before me. I realized that if I went to that girl’s house once, she’d want to do it again, and again. She’d also want to talk on the phone all the time like a lot of the girls from that time were doing. I did not want to spend my time talking to some stupid girl on the phone. I just wanted to see her naked, but not to get wrapped up in wasting my time. My heart’s desire was to go into the basement and play Star Wars.

“I don’t think I want to go out with you,” I said to the girl.

“What?”

“It’s a school night, and I’m busy.”

The girl started crying. My dad’s face dropped and my brother went downstairs knowing I was going to be off the phone soon. He was younger than me, in kindergarten at the time, so wanting to see a girl naked wasn’t even a relevant thought.

“Nobody has ever broke-up with me before. We’ve only been going out for a couple of hours. Is it because I’m ugly? I’ll do anything you want.”

“It’s not because you’re ugly. It’s just that I……..I’m busy.”

The girl hung up, I went downstairs and played Star Wars. The next day at school, all the girls’ friends were angry at me for breaking up with their friend. One girl who knew me very well because her brother played with my brother and I said, “You broke up with her so you could play that stupid, gay, little Star Wars thing you guys do. Isn’t it?”

“Yes,” I said honestly.

“I thought so. Well, I’m going to tell her why.”

She did, and from that day on, that girl and all her popular friends shut the door to me out of that rejection. She never really got over it, until we were seniors in high school and my friend and I had a ghastly reputation for excessive speeding, violent fights and other aggressive behavior, and were getting ready to leave school for the day when she came running across the parking lot to stop me. She asked me for a ride home from school.

I looked at the girl; she looked old at only 17. She had been having sex for many years, and virtually every popular boy in school had either seen her naked, or had sex with her in some form or another. She figured because of my reputation I’d want to spend time with her. I think she really needed a ride home, but she was looking for a chance I think. I instantly felt bad for her. She had been very attractive just a couple of years before, but now her skin was blotchy from where she went to the tanning bed too much. She actually had wrinkles around her eyes. Looking at her I couldn’t help but think she reminded me of a sperm suppository that had semen oozing out of the pores of her body.

“No, I can’t.”

I was surprised that her eyes actually welled up with tears. “Why, are you going to go and play Star Wars again?”

I looked at her to assess her pain. It was obvious she was trying to go back in time to fix something in her life, and I felt compelled to help her. But not compelled to stop doing what my friend and I were about to do.

“Sorry, but we’re getting ready to catch Rambo II. The movie starts in 45 minutes.”

I started up my car and skidded out of the school parking lot as was usual. That was the last time I ever saw or spoke to that girl.

The people who grew up successful and happy had little things like Star Wars in their life to help them through tough times. People like that girl, that filled the empty moments in her life with the penis of a young boy, in an attempt to steer that boy where she wanted ended up sick, diseased and terribly broken before they even hit 20 years old.

Mythology like Star Wars touches the mind beyond the animal hungers for sex, food, or the desire for acceptance, which is the first step toward tyranny. This is why I would rather shake hands with a Star Wars fan than any politician, or power player. The people who love Star Wars are creating, if only in their minds. They are creating costumes, they are collecting items, they are reading books and this makes them valuable people.

It is the child in all of us that must be kept alive, and not destroyed in some mindless pursuit of some perceived economic, or social value. The truth of mankind can be found in events like Star Tours.

Because there are many, many more discoveries that must be made for the human race to advance forward, we are a long way from completing the human adventure. So complacency of thought in the mundane realm of food and sex is not enough. When the entire world has the tools of academia at their disposal, it still takes the wondering adventurer, the outcast, the geek, to see what was always there.
