Video Games are Superior to Public Education: So why do we spend so much money?

It is disturbing to hear from advocates of the OSBA, the Ohio School Board Association, that because of declining funding, schools may have to give up well-known extracurriculars such as music and art in the future. Well, this is just preposterous. The funding for public school is not the problem; it’s the financial expectations of the schools themselves that’s the problem. And when it comes to the OSBA, when 1/3 of all of Ohio schools were looking for money in the last November election, and none of those schools have a long-term plan for balancing their budget in the future, it is the fault of the OSBA for not helping their school boards adjust to the changing times. This is because the OSBA is simply an extension of the organized labor position and exists purely to keep that branch of the education institution intact. So rather than adjust to the changing conditions in education, they are advising school boards everywhere to hang on to the expensive past.

If teachers and administrators weren’t trying to make 65K to 100K a year for essentially a part-time job, there’d be plenty of money for all these electives. There’s no reason to give up art teachers or music in public school. But in addition to that, it could be argued that those parts of public education have virtually no impact on a child’s life and are not even worth the discussion.

 

 

I know people who actually work as artists and are excellent painters or sketch illustrators, and not a single one of them will testify that it was a public school teacher who inspired them. Most of the time it is a father or a mother who bought them their first pencils and inspired them to get started, and they learned by doing. And when it comes to music it is the parents who buy the instruments for their children, and the teachers just assign projects so that the child can practice. But these days that’s all changing.

Rocksmith is a new video game that can be played on Xbox or Playstation 3 and directly allows the game counsel to plug straight into an electric guitar. It in essence allows a player of that game to learn how to play a guitar with a computer program, which is much more effective than a personal instructor or a music teacher in public school. As a matter of fact, there are a number of video games on the current market such as Rockstar and Guitar Hero that allow a player to learn what a tempo is and how to hit a note.

While I was watching a group of young people playing this game my first thought was that personal music instructors were going to be going out of business. And public education would no longer be needed to teach the basics of music instruction. There will always be a need for those who wish to take their music to live performances to be a part of a band in public education, but for the kids who just need a basic appreciation of music I would say that Rocksmith, Guitar Hero and Rockstar are far more effective than anything done in public education today. And these days almost every child has access to these devices, even the extreme poor. I know of several families in known poor areas where the children would rather play an Xbox game than eat, and they will spend their money on a new gaming system before they do anything else.

And as to art, programs like Corel Draw, Adobe and Photoshop are making artists out of anyone who cares to learn. The process is so simple these days that the basics of any artistic achievement can be experienced with a computer program. Public school is no longer needed for these basic skills. In fact, they are terribly insufficient by comparison.

So when the OSBA sends out their spokesman to write “letters to the editor” in the local paper proclaiming that public education is suffering because there isn’t enough funding from the public to support public education, they are speaking from a perspective that is similar to those who would rather use a horse and buggy to get to work as opposed to a car. Public education is way behind the curve and they are insisting on a huge organization driven by organized labor to support their jobs, they are not interested in the best and most efficient way to become educated. They are interested only in job maintenance.

There is absolutely no reason that foreign language should still take two years of high school education, because Rosetta Stone Software is much more effective in that category. Most people I know can’t remember any of their foreign language studies they received in public school just a few years after their gradation. But users of Rosetta Stone Software are able to learn a new language in months and can actually use those skills immediately, because the teaching method works better than the way it’s done in public education.

The only reason public education needs to be staffed at the levels they currently are is to give those public employees something to do. It is proven that the effectiveness of public education is seriously failing, and the pubic education model as it’s set up as one of the Ten Planks of Communism by progressives as free education for all, is a failing model that I think should be scrapped completely as insufficient. People don’t appreciate what they don’t pay for as proven by the welfare system, and public education is no different, so there are serious flaws that need to be completely rethought and now is the time to do it. I would say kids would be far better off with less public education and much more personal interaction with their parents and video games. That is how you make a successful child. It’s not some coffee breathed teacher sitting like a monarch in the front of the class teaching art. There are only two reasons to continue on with public education and that is to keep those employees in the system employed, and to provide a baby sitting service for the busy parents who need somewhere for their kids to go while they work in their careers. But as far as actual teaching quality, it’s just not there, and can easily be replaced with video games like Rocksmith, Rosetta Stone, and Photoshop.

The cries for financial help from groups like the OSBA and all the school boards across Ohio are similar to the Amish demanding sports cars. In both cases these groups chose to forgo technology to keep the status quo. Public education is being held down by the labor unions and their satellite organizations like the OSBA and it’s their own fault that they require so much money to operate public education. It’s their failed policies and ineptness which dictates multi million dollar budgets that must be funded on the backs of our property value, and it’s 100% wrong, and a dismal, unmitigated failure.

So let’s be honest and call public education what it is, and stop pretending that it will save the lives of our children, because it hasn’t and it’s not going to. Only a parent can do that, and a family structure behind a mom and a dad like grandparents, aunts and uncles. Public education is a baby sitting service that is wasting the time of millions of children and teaching them that wasting their life away waiting for school to end will not make successful adults, so a continuation of this course will be at society’s peril. So fear not dear reader, public education is a failure due to its own policies, not because you don’t want to send them more money. If you want your kid to learn music, buy them an Xbox and the Rocksmith video game and leave them to it. In a matter of months they will be more proficient than if they had taken music for 5 years in public school. And that is just the way it is, we all know it………….except the public education system and the employees who have dug their fingers into the past with the fear of embracing the future.

The public education cries for financial help are a self-fulfilling prophecy, and should be ignored. The world will not end for your child, so don’t worry about it. Cutting off the money supply is the best way to help those addicts of our tax money, because by giving them more money you are just prolonging the inevitable, and that is not good for anybody.

The Immortal Quest: Caractacus Pott lives in us all with my Dragon Update

To a lot of people the name Ian Fleming will always be the author who created James Bond. But to me Ian Fleming is the literary giant who filled my childhood with pleasant memories and a hope for the future. The book and the film that followed of the classic Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is archetypal Ian Fleming where the inventor Caractacus Pott buys an old car and restores it before finding himself on a series of wild adventures. In the film a clip can be seen here in all the glory of the 1968 classic featuring two of my favorite songs. The first song is the signature song of the film, the second is dedicated to the female lead in the story Ms. Truly Scrumptious, (I love Ian Fleming female characters)

The desire to restore an old car and give it new birth is a common theme for most of the male population that I know of. In our lives, we cannot do the same for our own bodies, but we can certainly give an old car new birth and allow it to live on for decades to come even after years of decline. This is even stronger today than it was in Ian Fleming’s time where beloved cars are routinely brought back from the dead to live again in their former glory.

As a youth my favorite car, which I still have, was a 77 Firebird because growing up it was the movie Smokey and the Bandit that ignited my love of driving for a lifetime. You can see my car in the picture to the right. Like Caractacus Potts from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, the old Firebird Trans Am’s hold a special place for millions of people and some have rescued these old Firebirds from the scrap yard to be restored out of their love for not only the cars but a tribute to the movie Smokey and the Bandit. Every year hundreds and hundreds of car enthusiasts take part in the Year One Bandit Run which is an opportunity for many of these restored Firebird Trans Am’s to make the same run done in the film from Texarkana, Texas to Atlanta, Georgia. In that famous movie the plot was to smuggle Coors Beer from west of the Mississippi River to a party in Atlanta, because Coors Beer couldn’t be sold so far from the brewery and reselling beer across state lines where taxes couldn’t be collected properly was considered bootlegging.

Well, I’m finishing up the final touches on my new book called Tail of the Dragon. I am on the second edit with the publisher and things are coming along nicely, and these two influences of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Smokey and the Bandit keep coming to my mind as I read through the manuscript. In my story however, the heat gets turned up considerably. In Tail of the Dragon the old Firebird that you can see in these pictures is certainly restored in the classic tradition that Year One promotes, but in this story, the engine is far from classic restoration, but reflects the most modern achievements of technical triumph.

In Tail of the Dragon there is a run similar to what the plot of Smokey and the Bandit consisted of, but it differs in that the restored Firebird is covered under its body panels with composite armor capable of deflecting .50 caliber machine gun fire, the windows are of course replaced with impact resistant glass and there are a number of gadgets and gizmos that would make Ian Fleming smile. Because the car must run on vegetable oil, due to the lack of fuel available, the Firebird needs a diesel engine so that it can run on an alternative fuel source. The trouble is, diesel engines are not known to be built for high performance speed racing…………….that is until recently.

The restoration of the Firebird in Tail of the Dragon is traditional on the outside, but inside it utilizes the technology seen in the video below. Meet the Peugeot 908 RC, the production car of the very successful Le Mans racing engine.

The engine seen in that video is a 700 Hp V12 HDi diesel engine that just won first and second place in the 24 hour Le Mans Cup endurance race in October of 2011. Franck Montagny placed 1st with a Peugeot 908 and Nicolas Lapierre placed second with a Peugeot 908 out of 53 other racers and automotive manufactures. Peugeot is way out in front of this type of diesel technology and in constructing the story of Tail of the Dragon the Peugeot 908 is the obvious choice for the needs of the car in that story.

I’m sure Peugeot will be aghast when they read in Tail of the Dragon that I’ve taken their very fine engine and turned it into a vegetable oil burning beast that can be filled at the refuse dump of a local fast food restaurant. But in the story there are several fuel tanks that heat up the sludge oil and remove contaminates as weight is not a factor in Tail of the Dragon as it is in a Le Mans race. So the Firebird restored on the outside to a classic America muscle car courses with the technology of Le Mans racing and like the great story of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, where the restored car takes our heroes to a far away land and finds themselves captive to a perilous regime, Tail of the Dragon is my modern spin on this classic tale. (I particularly love this song and scene as Dick van Dyke and his girlfriend must escape back to their beloved car)

All across America and the world over are inventors like Caractacus Pott who invent in their garages gadgets of ingenuity that no government can utilize and hold in a bottle. Innovation springs forth from an innate desire to be free, and whether the demon of control is the time on a clock during a Le Mans race against competing auto manufactures, or as in the case of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang the tyrannical child stealing regime of Baron Bomburst who attempts to force the construction of his own version of Caractacus’s magic car through torture. Or—it might just be the desire to drink a beer from a far away brewer and avoid the taxes involved in interstate commerce. (I love these guys)

The quest for immortality lives on in our machines as age claims our living years, it is our cars that capture and maintain our legacies. And it’s our ingenuity as human beings who bring about these rebirths in spite of what governments attempt to shape us in to in the form of regulation. The mind of the inventor embodies every intellect that holds a wrench, and places their hands on a steering wheel and pushes their foot down on an accelerator pedal to push the life they restored to its limits.

There’s a little bit of Caractacus in all of us, and my book Tail of the Dragon is a tribute to the latest installment in that quest of restoration by the inventors of earth who lack fame, but hold genius within their families as they bring back to life the god’s of the highways to breathe life once again. And the push behind that genius is the desire for freedom, as our machines reflect our passions to outrun, out maneuver, and outlast the shackles of time and the subordinates of restriction.

It’s in ingenuity that we find our freedoms. It’s in cutting down the shank of a bolt that doesn’t quite fit, or using a tin can as a shim to a strut that needs more space to balance out a fit. It’s in the teenager who installs their first modified car stereo or the chrome rims they put on their first car. It’s the ingenuity of the human mind to always push technology forward while preserving the past that rests behind the spirit of every tool box in a man’s garage. And that spirit is what Ian Fleming captured so long ago in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. And upon reading one of the last revisions of my new Tail of the Dragon I am happy to report that readers will see my tribute to these great classics with a new story that I hope will inspire a new generation to grab a wrench, head into the garage and stake their claim to immortality by injecting a bit of themselves into a beloved vehicle that will live on indefinitely as their personal quest for freedom.

Lakota’s Laura Kursman the Horse Trainer: The payoff for a “neck injury?”

One of the best things I received for Christmas is some help in bringing to light the expensive faults of public education and the unions that drive that waste. The unions in public education not only control the teachers, but they have also gained control of the publicly elected administrations, because, the unions go a long way to getting those school board members elected not directly, but through the marketing machine of perception, it is the PTA moms, teachers who live in the district, and the outreach of the superintendent that gets people like Julie Shafer elected to school board over people like Mark Etterling. The superintendents in these public schools often behave as though they are CEO’s of a corporation, but in fact are simply union stooges that lay down at the feet of the powerful unions because honestly, it is the unions who make the pay scale of superintendent so lucrative, and most superintendents are former teachers and therefore union members. The money scam that goes on in public schools infuriates thousands and thousands of people, but few people have stepped forward to voice their anger at this open looting of the public treasury, until recently.

Right before Christmas I received a scathing letter from an angry resident who is breaking the silence of why Laura Kursman, the former PR director at the Lakota School District was paid $90,000 to leave her position. That was one Christmas present; the other was from my good friend Darryl Parks of 700 WLW when a West Chester resident named Jerry called in and reported his disgust at the tremendous waste of money going on at Lakota. It was a great pleasure to listen to the broadcast below from Darryl’s show hearing someone else discuss this waste that goes on right out in the open. Click the video below to listen:

Jerry is right regarding the Laura Kursman incident. Fresh on the heels of another failed levy, because people are catching on that there are millions upon millions of dollars wasted in a school like Lakota, the district using our tax money to pay Laura Kursman off with a payout of 90K to be distributed in three payments, and it is that kind of thing that makes people not want to support school levies. The residents of Lakota already pay $1,140 per $100,000 of home evaluation and they don’t feel they should have to pay more than that to support a school. Yet Lakota time and time again just like all forms of government never gets enough. When the school runs into a financial dilemma they simply ask for more taxes. But for those of us who live in the district and actually understand how much money it takes to make things work, the waste is easy to see, $165,000 paid to a double dipping superintendent who refuses to force the union into wage reductions, like a CEO would. A $43,000 fee to find that superintendent over the summer. And just a few months later Lakota is paying their PR director $90,000 to leave. The Lakota School Board tosses tens of thousands of dollars around like its candy, and then they wonder why the public won’t pass another school levy.

Well, my other Christmas present came on Christmas Eve as a matter of fact from a very upset resident of Lakota who had some light to shed on the whole Laura Kursman incident which is bad in either one of two ways. First, Laura was paid such a large sum of money because Lakota did like the results of the failed levies and blamed Laura for them and wanted to hire a new PR director for upcoming tax increase attempts. Or second, which looks to be the case after reading the letter below, Laura had lost her edge, was caught in a rift with the school board over the upcoming school levy attempt and claimed she could not perform her task because of a “neck” injuryand left her job on a leave of absence.

 

  Lakota has an obligation to protect the tax payers from employees who might make such claims as Laura did against it.  If Laura had a legitimate injury sustained at the school that’s one thing, but if I have received statements like what you have read above, wouldn’t those be relevant in a court of law and taken on depositions on behalf of Lakota in defending itself and the tax payers in a court case?    And worse than that Steven Mathews at the Pulse Journal has been doing some really good reporting over this story and has delivered what we know so far about the case, but in over a week of trying to get the story straight Lakota has been dragging its feet with his records requests…………………Why?

It appears that Lakota paid Laura too quickly and if the issue was a neck injury Lakota should have taken her to court to protect the tax money sent to the district instead of jumping at the first sign of trouble from attorneys’ like Freking and Betz LLC, which are standard in any business. It sounds like Laura’s other employer could have provided testimony to dispute Laura’s claim of a debilitating neck injury. So why wasn’t this done? Didn’t Lakota worry that once other employees at the school learned about the payout to Laura that other employees would start having “neck injuries” also looking for some extra money to settle out of court and stuff in their pockets?

Well I hate to bring it up again, but this reflects back to a letter I presented here involving Lakota and this same cast of characters from August of 2011 through October 2011. Right before Laura sustained the alleged “neck injury,” there was a sex case involving a family and a teacher at one of the high schools that the family graciously did not sue over, they simply took their child out of the school after trying repeatedly to get someone at Lakota to take responsibility for the actions of one of its teachers and the principal who helped perpetuate the problem. Sorry Lakota it is obvious that you guys don’t know what you are doing. The more I find out about the inner workings of your daily business, the more irresponsible you seem to be exhibiting. And to your credit, it’s not all your fault. This permeates all public schools that are run by unions where nobody is really in charge and the culture is to always ask for more money to solve problems. But in personal injury lawsuits you can’t just pay out on a settlement because you don’t like the employee or are unhappy with them and hope you can use the payoff as leverage to remove the employee from your payroll. That $90,000 dollars you spent was not your money; it was taken from many properties and businesses in the West Chester and Liberty Twp area to educate students, not to pay off the threat from a law firm. Now you’ve sent a dangerous message to 2000 other employees who may be prone to do the same thing, and there are now hundreds of attorneys’ that know Lakota will cave into pressure before fighting a threat, so you can expect more of these personal injury cases, you can bet on it.

And Lakota, when a newspaper asks for a record request, give it to them. When you drag your feet so you can “control” the story, you just stir up an already outraged public. It is not your job to control the newspapers, and lean on the reporters there because they don’t cover your activities the way you want them to. And in the case of Laura Kursman someone in human resources needs to review their hiring practices because it sounds like Laura had some issues if what I am being sent from people who know her is to be believed. People with such emotional problems and work ethics are the types I have been saying are not worth more than 65K per year and she was being paid $79,517 per year!

Because of these reasons and many, many more that are less defined by actually hard testimony as shown, the Lakota Administration could do a lot more with less. The tax on our properties should not be $1,140 per $100,000, it should be less! Its payouts, mistakes, bad hires, and paying too much for too many employees that will destroy a multi-million dollar budget. 90K wasted here, 50K wasted there, cover-ups, cloak and dagger reporting, and fuzzy math only make the hole deeper. Education would be a lot cheaper if the school didn’t attempt to cover-up the actions of a lot of really troubled employees, and yes there’s more than just a couple. Oh, and don’t worry about Lakota continuing to be a good school. It is not employees like Laura Kursman, or Superintendent Mantia that make Lakota great, and it’s certainly not the leadership of Joan Powell on the school board. It’s the people themselves who send their kids to the school. Every employee in Lakota could be replaced and Lakota would still succeed. The community is not great because of the school but because of the homeowners and business people who make up the community. And higher taxes are not an option because those people need to continue to be a part of this community. All Lakota needs to do in order to run their school with less, is to stop playing games, and they will learn that the budget will balance out nicely. It is not the task of the community to find ways to pay for all this nonsense going on behind the scenes. It’s Lakota’s task to reflect the community values, and that starts with protecting the money we send to the school through our hard earned taxes as if every dollar meant something.

Snoopy versus The Red Baron: The true meaning of modern Christmas

I have two Christmas songs that I enjoy more than any other. One is The Little Drummer Boy  which captures all the spiritual essence of the Christmas Holiday on the religious side of things. My other is a little song recorded in Tampa, Florida by The Royal Guardsman called Snoopy’s Christmas.

That song is all about an elusive quality called “valor” and is far more important than the progressive social engineering that took place during and after World War 1 on the heels of The Treaty of Versailles. In the song Snoopy in deadly combat with the dreaded Red Baron captures the essence of what Christmas is all about when Snoopy lands behind enemy lines with the Baron, his enemy, and partakes in a feast to enjoy one day off the battlefield where the two rivals toast each other.

Without saying a word of dialog but only communicating with grunts and facial expressions Snoopy reflects the inner quest of all people to achieve a level of honor through proven valor on the battlefields of life and this cannot be removed from the consciousness of the human race, even though the attempts have been vigorous. The popularity of sports and the combat of competition are what drive the world and always have. The more tampering socially that politicians have attempted to inflict on behalf of peace have only mitigated into the unintentional perpetuation of more violence. This can be seen in the increase of MMA fighting replacing wrestling and some boxing as a new favorite sporting event.

Wars could be simply reduced to the desire for nations to maintain their national honor and it is the combatants individually who play out that quest. Honor is a level of quality that proclaims that one side of a conflict has a higher quality than the other side, and only in the competition of combat can it be determined who has more quality than the other. In World War 1 it was the Red Baron who set the standard of aerial combat in a manner of fighting that was only a few decades old. Even though it was Americans who invented flight, it was the Germans who first mastered the concept of a flying ace and the Red Baron was the best of the best as can be seen in these fantastic sequences of combat in the skies over Europe.

Progressives at the time of World War 1 with their academic pretentious naivety assumed that the world wanted peace as they did, and Woodrow Wilson at the time used the horrors of the war to propose his vision of a League of Nations which was essentially like a board of directors at a college who would rule the world and prevent all future wars between nations. The League of Nations would eventually become The United Nations after 30 years of constant promotion it was finally accepted after World War 11, a war that was actually caused by World War 1. Because World War 1 was really not about any outright injustice between nations, the war was essentially about honor and the individuals who made up those respected countries which can be seen brilliantly in this clip from The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles.

Progressives in all their sheltered perception believe that they can engineer from the human mind through education, government social programs and business regulation a fairness that has never been seen on planet earth, but in reality their pretension is just as arrogant as this next scene from another episode of The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles where Indy has dinner with the Red Baron himself along with other German aces from the period. (By the way, if you thought Indiana Jones was only a series of four movies you are missing out. The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles is some of the best television ever produced about history and will make an excellent present to yourself if you are so inclined. In this series Indiana Jones the fictional character meets all the real movers and shakers who helped shape the 20th century. As a spy, Indy finds himself at dinner with the Red Baron and learns what the real motivations of the war truly were).

After the war President Wilson and his friends from Britain and France decided to divide up the world to their liking and attempted to implement a progressive social engineering approach with the aforementioned Treaty of Versailles. This arrogant attempt by them gave rise to the Nazi party in their treatment of the Germans by crushing them to dust making Hitler their only hope for redemption. It was also the Treaty of Versailles that created the modern Middle East by dismantling the Ottoman Empire and creating the nations we see there today. Even though countries like Palestine, Iraq, Iran and many others came out of this division of property the conflicts erupting to this very day are worse than ever because the nature of the people who made up the Ottoman Empire still wish to live a feudal existence because that is their culture. Also at the Treat of Versailles a young Ho Chi Man from Vietnam pleaded that Wilson help release his country from French occupation. Wilson blew off the young bell boy of Paris and the young man went to the Communist recruiter across the street in Paris as a last refuge of hope for bringing freedom to his country. That is how communism came to Vietnam. This complete blunder by the well-intentioned yet pretentious Wilson ushered in the violence in South East Asia that would become the Vietnam conflict and it really started during the creation of this treaty.

Progressives ludicrously have underestimated the factor of human endeavor for which they are vacant and that is valor. Since they don’t understand it, because they have not developed it themselves, since academics tend to be squeamish personalities lacking in physical prowess, an attempt to use intellect to suppress bravery as valid human endeavors has been attempted. Progressives believe foolishly that by doing this they can eliminate war from the human mind. What progressives did however was essentially no different from what the Red Baron was doing. The Baron used his physical abilities and skills as a pilot to defeat his enemies, and it was the task of his competitors even at the cost of their lives to surpass him. Progressives used their ability to manipulate and deceive through academic psychology to disarm their enemies thinking that since they were so intellectually proficient that they had the right to rule the world…….they are in essence no different or less evil than the Red Baron.

And that is the moral to the story of Snoopy versus the Red Baron in that wonderful song that each time I hear it I think of all the above, because the song is not only about a pivotal moment in human history but it’s about the elusive quality of valor where enemies in the air take a moment to toast each other behind enemy lines because in the end the conflict was not personal, it was simply about the quest to find out what each other was made of that made the conflict either heroic or tragic. Progressive peace-loving politics has robbed the earth of this well understood definition of valor and replaced it the only way they could, but using communism to suppress the individual to authority of their “betters” in an attempt of creating a world without war. But in doing so they have had to attempt to dumb down every human being on the planet by watering down the necessity for competition to prove human valor; wasn’t that the lesson of the great novel and film A Clockwork Orange? In that film society attempted to program out what they perceived to be the evil of a young diabolical man and ended up discovering that in doing so they destroyed everything good about the kid leaving him mute and vulnerable to a highly competitive society.

What we all want on Christmas Day is to spend time with our friends and family, and to see what those people think of us in the form of presents under a lit up Christmas Tree. Christmas Day is a unique pause in competition that society nationally and internationally participates in and puts our conflicts off to the side while we silently pay tribute not only to the spiritual aspects of Christmas, but to the efforts of our previous year. Again, progressives miss the point of Christmas by attempting to take the Christian reference away; they forget what the holiday truly is to the deep minds of the human race. But The Royal Guardsman understood what Christmas was as they told the story of Snoopy, the Red Baron, and a break in the action for a feast about living with the knowledge that they will meet again in the field of battle. The battles we fight in life are not necessarily about killing the other person or defeating the other nation. The battles we fight are to know that we are everything we can be and we need competition to bring it out in us. And so long as communism and capitalism are on the same planet there will never be peace, the earth will always be at war. Because capitalism needs competition to work, and communism needs collective surrender to fairness to work. Communism however robs the individual of valor and leaves behind a shell of a person, which is the ultimate destroyer of not only people, but nations. And the day after Christmas when all the presents are opened, and the aroma of Christmas dinner has left our senses we will return like Snoopy and the Red Barron to the fight for our very lives in a quest for the valor that feeds our very souls.

Agenda: Grinding America Down–and The Naked Communist list of 45 goals from 1958

When I came home yesterday a Christmas gift was left on the front porch from one of my readers here at Overmanwarrior’s Wisdom. It was a large tin can filled with a multitude of presents which was a pleasant surprise after a rather difficult day topped off with a cold ride in the rain on my motorcycle. I had gotten caught without my rain suit and it was raining hard just days before Christmas, so my cloths were soaked to the bone. So as typical on such days I undress on the front porch so my wet cloths don’t ruin my wife’s carpet and hardwood floors inside the house, and that’s when my wife showed me the present.

Inside were a number of wonderful presents and cards for both my wife and I, but one of the gifts jumped out at me in particular. It was a DVD of the documentary film Agenda: Grinding America Down by Curtis Browers which won Best Film at the Jubilee Film Festival in 2010. It surprised me that I hadn’t heard about this film because it covers much of the content I’ve written about here at Overmanwarrior’s Wisdom, which is the history of the communist movement in the United States and how many factions instigated by the Soviet Union KGB in the 1950’s and 1960’s sought to dismantle American culture from within. I immediately watched Agenda and found it compelling and consistent with my own observations. I realized long ago that the sudden rise in the divorce rate, the ignorance of our youth, the rise in the welfare culture, the focus on sexuality, race relations, and feminism were suspiciously coordinated, and I have resisted, analyzed, and come to virtually the same conclusions as Bowers did in his very good film which you can see a preview of below:

One of the most potent aspects of that film was the revelation of the 45 communist goals outlined in the book The Naked Communist that Bowers learned about in a Communist USA meeting he attended at Berkley University in 1992. A lot of people don’t know that there is a very strong communist party in the United States and they have been around for much of the 20th century. As I have reported here even Ronald Reagan petitioned to be a member of the communist party in his youthful days, till he grew older and wiser. Read that article here:

But people don’t see communism in America because it is not part of their static patterns. Culturally, America sees itself as the opposite of any communist country, but that is partly by design. I have studied social cultures my entire life, so much so that I intended fully to become an archeologist or anthropologist in my life profession, and in 1992 while I learned that communism and smaller degrees of socialism was quite alive and well in modern America at many meetings that I like Bowers attended, I decided to dedicate my time and energy to not studying why cultures from the past failed, but I would apply my studies to preserving the American culture that I saw being destroyed in front of my eyes while it was still alive. The communist party in the United States was set up by the KGB during the Cold War had a two pronged plan to defeat America in that war. They planned to spend America into oblivion with the nuclear arms and space race, but while we were following rockets to the stars and sending men to the moon to beat the Soviet Union, KGB agents and sleeper cells were being established within the United States to destroy American culture from within. This is difficult for many people to see who only look at their own lives and the small part they play in American existence. But if you look at American culture with the big eyes of an archeologist outside the static patterns of normalcy it is easy to see how Communist USA has slowly over time accomplished many of the goals they set out to do way back in 1958. The list that Bowers addressed in the film Agenda is shown below for your convenience. As you look over the list consider what roll you have played in helping to make it possible and don’t lie to yourself and believe that the below information is a part of some radical conspiracy theory. Every one of these items is listed in the book The Naked Communist and has been routinely discussion in communist groups within the United States since the 50’s.
The following is the list of Communist goals contained in The Naked Communist 1958:[3]

1. U.S. acceptance of coexistence as the only alternative to atomic war.
2. U.S. willingness to capitulate in preference to engaging in atomic war.
3. Develop the illusion that total disarmament by the United States would be a demonstration of moral strength.
4. Permit free trade between all nations regardless of Communist affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for war.
5. Extension of long-term loans to Russia and Soviet satellites.
6. Provide American aid to all nations regardless of Communist domination.
7. Grant recognition of Red China. Admission of Red China to the U.N.
8. Set up East and West Germany as separate states in spite of Khrushchev’s promise in 1955 to settle the German question by free elections under supervision of the U.N.
9. Prolong the conferences to ban atomic tests because the United States has agreed to suspend tests as long as negotiations are in progress.
10. Allow all Soviet satellites individual representation in the U.N.
11. Promote the U.N. as the only hope for mankind. If its charter is rewritten, demand that it be set up as a one-world government with its own independent armed forces.
12. Resist any attempt to outlaw the Communist Party.
13. Do away with all loyalty oaths.
14. Continue giving Russia access to the U.S. Patent Office.
15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.
16. Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions by claiming their activities violate civil rights.
17. Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers’ associations. Put the party line in textbooks.
18. Gain control of all student newspapers.
19. Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under Communist attack.
20. Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policymaking positions.
21. Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures.
22. Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to “eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms.”
23. Control art critics and directors of art museums.
24. Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them “censorship” and a violation of free speech and free press.
25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.
26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as “normal, natural, healthy.”
27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with “social” religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity which does not need a “religious crutch.”
28. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of “separation of church and state.”
29. Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.
30. Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the “common man.”
31. Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of the “big picture.” Give more emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over.
32. Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture—education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.
33. Eliminate all laws or procedures which interfere with the operation of the Communist apparatus.
34. Eliminate the House Committee on Un-American Activities.
35. Discredit and eventually dismantle the FBI.
36. Infiltrate and gain control of more unions.
37. Infiltrate and gain control of big business.
38. Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand or treat.
39. Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose Communist goals.
40. Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity, masturbation and easy divorce.
41. Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents.
42. Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special-interest groups should rise up and use “united force” to solve economic, political or social problems.
43. Overthrow all colonial governments before native populations are ready for self-government.
44. Internationalize the Panama Canal.
45. Repeal the Connally reservation so the United States cannot prevent the World Court from seizing jurisdiction over domestic problems. Give the World Court jurisdiction over nations and individuals alike.

As you read that list dear reader you are probably asking yourself, “how did I not see this?” Well, there were a lot of other exciting things happening that took up our attention. Chuck Yeager broke the sound barrier in the Bell X1 in 1947, 11 years before the book The Naked Communist was released. Most people think of war in terms of bullets and violence, but that is not the case. Sun Tzu author of The Art of War says distinctly that “it is best to defeat those who are already defeated.” And the Soviet Union played this game with the long view of culture in mind. While America fought the Soviet Union with rockets, military, and Ronald Reagan bravado, the Soviet Union fought America with the feint of keeping up with the United States with all those topics, but knew they would lose in the end, so they sought to destroy American culture itself.

Enemies of America have done to the United States culture what scientists have done to a frog in experiments involving hot water. If a scientist puts a frog into scalding hot water, the frog will of course struggle and attempt to jump out. But if the frog is put into water at room temperature and the heat is gradually turned up slowly, the frog will stay in the water comfortably for a long time, until of course it’s too late. The gradual heat of the water will slowly rob the life of the frog till its muscles no longer work and it cannot escape. Defeating a culture is the same kind of thing and the Soviet Union knew this. They knew Americans would always fight and would beat them in a head on fight, so slowly over time communists have sought to dismantle what American Culture is so that the defeat of America will come not from China, Russia, Cuba or any other place of rampant communism, but it will come from college professors, school teachers, politicians, and media producers educated at the institutions the communists controlled as established in The Naked Communist.

But fret not dear reader, America is not gone yet, and the ideas that made it great will live on. It takes people like Curtis Bowers to make films like Agenda to teach how we arrived at this point in time. And I can speak for myself, I write here everyday so that American culture can be preserved and all those of you who are reading this that have forgotten what being an American is, can relearn. I write here everyday to restore America and to counter the efforts of the pretentious communist academics of which our current president is a proud member. But it’s not just him; there are thousands upon thousands of these communist sympathizers functioning right out in the open these days. And I plan to be their worst nightmare in the years to come. Even if through the NDAA Act these communist lovers gain control of websites like this one, I am currently writing books that will compete directly with the propaganda they have inflicted upon our culture like The Naked Communist and Rules for Radicals. So the game is not up for America. We are learning that we have been scammed, and the wrath of that realization will be one of great anger. Right now it’s embarrassment, but as the truth comes out, it will evolve into anger and America will overcome this enemy from within. Hopefully this will be peaceful in a battle of ideas. But if the communist types with all their various names continue to stomp all over the United States Constitution I will promise that violence will be assured for their kind. Because our future under communist philosophy will look something like this–remember the frog.

So take head my dear American reader. Yes, communist have infiltrated our culture and has successfully destroyed much. But there are a lot of people who are waking up, and fans of this website, Glenn Beck, Alex Jones, and filmmakers like Curtis Bowers are starting to turn the strategy of the communists against them. After all, it worked for them against us, so the same can be used against them to destroy the communist culture. The difference between American traditional culture and communist culture is that their culture is built upon lies, and ours is built on history and in the game of culture building, America will always beat the lie of communism. It might take a little time, but the healing process is already beginning, which is evident in the very good film, Agenda: Grinding America Down.

You can do your part in fixing America by watching that very good film and taking some notes. I recommend it highly.

Warnings of the NDAA Act: Visions of the future

Darryl Parks of 700 WLW talks to Gerald Celente of The Trends Journal about his predictions for 2012. The broadcast which aired on December 21, 2011 just before Christmas is an epic diatribe from two men who don’t normally over exaggerate political topics. Gerald brings into focus some of the very real threats to the American way of life in a must listen transmission on the heels of the senate passage of the NDAA act which allows the President of the United States to arrest and incarcerate American citizens indefinitely. The truly tragic aspect of the NDAA act is that it proves even the most ardent conspiracy theories correct. We are seeing a government political class making the kind of manipulative moves that one might find best in a Shakespearian play, a quest for power that is only fit for the small minded. And these power quests come from lawyers, academics, and legal thieves known as lobbyists to use the American people as wealth generation opportunities for their own fragile world perspectives. The situation is so serious that even Racheal Maddow, who is a progressive leaning commentator, sees just how detrimental NDAA is for the American people. I agree with virtually nothing that Maddow utters nightly, but the NDAA is even to the left of her! That is how bad the NDAA Act is.

It is clear that there has been an escape plan concocted from the political class for many years to make themselves wealthy through insider trader, creating legislation that favors lobbyists, and out-right public looting of tax revenue with political give-aways to voters and tremendous government employee compensation packages. And for people like Bill Clinton, who has been an American president, has been there and done that, he now has sights on what he considers a higher prize, president of the United Nations, which would require a major downgrade in the American economy to allow an American to become President of that international government body. The below video is poorly rendered, but the audio is clear and is from 2008, when Clinton was asked to dispel the myths that the United States government was building concentration camps to hold political prisoners within America. Clinton did not answer the question, but instead said something even more disturbing.

It is clear now with the passage of the NDAA Act that many members of the government are involved in this plot to decertify the United States as a world power, to incorporate America and its people into equals in an international community, and they are using public schools to spread their message to lower resistance to their power grabs. This has been going on for over twenty years so it’s not specific to one particular person, but is indicative of those who crave power, which is how this type of thing has been advanced slowly over a long period of time without a centralized leader to rally the cause. The society of the small-minded power grabbers are simply like rust on metal, once it breaks out on the surface, the rust oxides and destroys the surrounding structure of a metal slowly, too slowly for the naked eye to detect, but over time it weakens the metal till the structure falls apart do to the corrosion of the structural properties of the metal. Politicians like Obama, Clinton, Kennedy, Johnston, Roosevelt, Bush and many, many others have acted like rust upon the surface of America to weaken it and change the metal of our nation into something else less stable. They do not see the process as corrosion because they are themselves corrosive.

Politicians who are corrosive by nature are like people who have gingivitis and their mouths are loosing their teeth. To people speaking with those who are losing their teeth to this slow degradation the breath of these people stink. With every word comes the reek of bad, rotten breath. But to the person with gingivitis, they are so used to the rot taking place inside their mouth that they cannot taste the rot, or smell the horrid odor in their own mouths. The rotten politician cannot see that they are falling apart, they do not see, smell, or taste the corruption of their own decay. Secretly they are aware of their state, and they attempt to make the world into their condition because that is their state of mind. This is why they cannot be trusted.

These decaying politicians are protecting themselves from the wrath of the American people who do not fall neatly into line with the global plans they are making for America. That is why they wanted the NDAA Act and why they have an infrastructure all over the United States to collect political enemies from being able to organize against them and remove their decay from office, as the United States Constitution grants as a right.

I first learned just how bad the situation was when I put together the below video which I’ve referenced before, but will present it again for review. The government has distorted the language of the Constitution in so many ways and used legal language and manipulation to create case-law that suits their power quests for such a long time that repair through legislation is out of the question, and the power grabbing politicians know it. That is why they are making the decisions they are now, to protect themselves from the American people. They have already so forsaken the United States Constitution that they find they have painted themselves into a corner and can only get out by embracing socialism.

The situation is dire, and if left as it is now, within 5 years from this Christmas it will be routine to see Americans that you know and love disappearing forever into these camps because those in power perceive them as a threat to their political existence. It won’t matter that the politicians who wrote the laws that allowed for these unconstitutional arrests are long retired and out of the scene, because in politics it’s a society of thieves who look out for the next generation with an ever corrosive encroachment of legislative case-law that benefits the lawyers who become politicians and allow them to use the power we temporarily grant them to gain wealth for themselves while enslaving us in the future. And each year it gets worse and worse because the American people have let it continue and have not exercised their Constitutional rights to prevent it.

And the time to fix the situation is quickly running out………………….

Eric Holder Should Be Impeached: Playing the Wookie Defense to hide incompetence

Eric Holder, you silly boy—you got caught in a scam to increase gun regulations that cost the life of a border patrol agent, and to divert the attention away from your incompetence when conservatives called for your resignation you used the Wookie Defense to protect your public image. That’s cute.

You specifically said after the intense House Judiciary Committee questioning of your horrid job performance as head of the Justice Department that the reason so many people were upset with you was because, ‘This is a way to get at the president because of the way I can be identified with him, both due to the nature of our relationship and, you know, the fact that we’re both African-American.” Well, Eric–Mr. Mustache man who took away the red, white and blue of the Justice Department website in favor of a more Socialist International color scheme, it’s not because of your skin color that so many people despise you. In fact, until you brought it up, I didn’t know you were a black man. You are lighter in skin color than John Boehner so I just thought you had a “vacation tan.” And I’m glad that you brought up the president in this, because you have clearly been his little minion in a radical leftist quest to ruin America’s traditions and rebuild it under a socialist mentality. That is why you are disliked by those in our nation who like America for what it was, not what you and the president wants it to be. In fact on this holiday season the video below shows wonderfully why you are not liked, because even though this video is directed at Obama it is you who are the wind beneath his wings and allowed him to bring about all the problems Americans see in their country during the Christmas of 2011.

No, it’s not because you’re a black man, but you did earn a lot of criticism when you failed to prosecute the Black Panthers for voter harassment, which you seemed to endorse. Remember that? You are despised because you refuse to defend the constitutionality of the Defense of Marriage Act, and that you are suing the state of Arizona over exercising its right to check the legality of the people living in the state. You are despised because you are advancing America into the ways of socialism directly to a path of communism, and you are doing it openly and you do not care what people think because you are the highest law of the land and obviously believe that you are above the law, and can rewrite laws to justify your actions. You obviously don’t care at all about the Constitution of the United States. Eric, you and your good buddy Barack, who is not even a constitutionally valid president, not because he wasn’t born in Hawaii, but because he gave up his citizenship when his step father took him out of the country to study in Indonesia, have openly schemed against the Constitution at every turn, and there are people who hate you for it. You swore to uphold the Constitution yet you have been at war with it. So what did you expect people to think? You’ll take actions against the town of Kinston, North Carolina, where your office blocked an election where voters overwhelmingly decided to abolish political party labels for candidates running in future elections. The reasoning from the Obama administration, as Rep. King recalled, was because without party labels, blacks wouldn’t get elected. You’ll micromanage those types of actions but you will do nothing about your own boss who used a foreign student status to go to college in the United States because he gave up his citizenship. After all, those are only rules…..right. And when you control the rules, you can make them up as you go.

Eric, you are disliked because you have lied, manipulated, diffused and participated in open warfare with the Constitution of the United States. That is why you should be impeached. Before your bungling of Fast and Furious, you had already committed enough crimes against the United States that will embarrass our history for centuries, and that’s in just 3 years. The death of an American in Fast and Furious and you and the Presidents willingness to allow American guns to kill countless Mexicans so that you could create more gun control legislation in the United States shows what kind of man hides behind your mustache and why you wear one. Oh, I’m sure you’ll attempt to justify that people like me and thousands of others are just part of a radical minority of conservatives and don’t represent the masses. I will say this much to you Eric Holder head of the Department of Justice and minion to the President Obama, I do not recognize your authority. You are a joke compared to my loyalty to the United States Constitution. You are not upholding that law and that is the law I live by, so your office, your authority, your entire existence means absolutely nothing to me. You are acting illegally, criminally, and you are attempting to destroy the nation that I live in and love, and that makes you the enemy.

At a bare minimum, you should be impeached! Not because of your skin color, your sex, your politics, or even your mustache, you should be impeached because you suck at your job in relation to upholding the Constitution, and are an embarrassment to the money I have contributed in taxes. I expect more value from the money I spend in taxes and you are not a government employee of any quality. You should be impeached as a message to future employees that they cannot behave the way you have in a federal office. You can hide your actions from yourself in the mirror behind that hair under your nose, but the rest of the world sees it clearly, and the gig is up as they say in Chicago. Of course you’d know all about that wouldn’t you!

Lakota Pays Laura Kursman $90,000 to go away: The cost of protecting an empire

What does a PR director do at a school system? Why would the tax payers need to hire such a person? Yet Lakota, the school system in my community is hiring a new one with a pay range between $69,000 and $94,000 per year! That’s a very good salary, but what is the reason for this position? What necessitates the hiring of such a person if the goal of the education institution is to simply teach our children?  (Below you can see Laura Kursman in action doing what PR directors do.)

As anyone who reads here often knows, I have done a lot of PR work. I have done hundreds and hundreds of interviews with all levels of the media, print, radio, and television. I’ve designed and coded websites along with all the content. I’ve written hundreds of thousands of promotional material which is what a public relations employee does. With that qualifier there isn’t any reason that I see why a school system would need to hire a PR director. Even at a large school like Lakota which has 22 buildings and approximately 2000 employees and 18,000 students, there simply isn’t enough work with the media around town to justify 8 hours of work per day 5 days a week. The work of a PR person might be required to type up press releases, and assuming Lakota had news to report every day, a press release only takes an hour or so to prepare. If it takes longer than that, the PR person doesn’t know what they are doing. Statements to the press take 15 to 20 minutes. I’ve given such statements to the entire media of Cincinnati and did so between my morning meetings and lunch without there being any difficulty. If you are the type of person who is good at that kind of thing, which most PR people are, that kind of work is a breeze.

With those qualifiers I do not see why Lakota needs a PR person as a fulltime staff member. It just doesn’t make any sense. At best there is about 15 hours of work per week for such an employee to perform and paying $69,000 to $90,000 per year for 15 hours of work per week is not a good use of money. These PR tasks should be handled by the school superintendent for general issues, and for individual sports stories and extracurricular activity work of specific students the coaches and teachers should easily be able to handle the job. No school should hire a PR director. There is only one reason I can think of that a school would need to hire this type of person, and that is to pass school levies.

To prove my point lets examine why Lakota is hiring a new PR director. Laura Kursman mysteriously has been on a leave of absence from the role she has performed for Lakota since 2008. In September of 2011 she has been off her PR director job and Ashire Communications president Elliot Grossman has been hired as a PR consultant since that time. So where has Laura been, and why did Lakota pay her $90,000 to go away making her officially off the payroll effective Tuesday, (Today)?

Well, Superintendent Mantia and School Board President Joan Powell have been tight-lipped about the whole deal involving Laura Kursman and have not been very forthcoming regarding the details of Laura’s disappearance. It’s entirely possible that Laura was being blamed for the failed levies since she was the PR director, whatever the issue was, Lakota is in an awful hurry to part with her.  We can only speculate on this issue because Lakota has not been open in their reasoning, and the cloak and dagger tactics with the public smells bad. 

Well, newsflash Lakota administration, the Lakota levies have been failing because the tax requests are founded on ignorance and a lack of financial understanding. And in addition to that, I have been handling the PR obligations of the No Lakota Levy group which has opposed the Lakota levy attempts and I have done by Lakota Math approximately $500,000 worth of PR work to fight the levies and I’ve done it out of the kindness of my heart because I believe the Lakota Pro Tax position is a danger to my community and is acting in a parasitic way to continued economic growth. And I will continue to perform that task in the future. Pushing Laura out the door with $90,000 of our money in her pocket so Lakota can hire someone the administration likes better to advance future levy campaign battles doesn’t seem very responsible to me.

I thought Laura did a pretty good job. She handled the child molester Ryan Fahrenkemp the best she could. And Lakota managed to keep the lid on a sex scandal involving a high school teacher, a high-profile principal and the parent of a special needs child without the story going ballistic because Laura and her crew of spin control technicians diffused the issue effectively. All those issues took place in 2011. And the school levies are purely a lack of management driven by excessive labor union expectations. It’s not Laura’s fault that the superintendents and school board members are all on the same side as the labor unions. I mean you can’t polish a pile of shit into a diamond, yet Laura did try. But that is what the school district thinks they are going to do by hiring a new PR director, is find an employee who can make shit look like a diamond and spin the truth around on itself so that Lakota residents will pass future levies and continue paying the contract expectations of the labor union.

Imagine how much money Lakota would have if they just played the game straight. If they weren’t worried about manipulating the community with a PR director they could save that salary. And they wouldn’t have had to pay off the previous employee with a $90,000 fee. Lakota also spent almost 50K in fees just looking for a new superintendent who was less than 70 miles away who they ended up paying almost a quarter million dollars for in total compensation. What does the superintendent do all day if she’s not balancing the budget and handling PR obligations? Those two financial mistakes happened within 4 months of each other, and those are the situations we know about. Can you imagine how much waste is going on that we don’t know about? During the last levy campaign the pro Lakota levy group spent $12,000 on consultants to advise them how to pass the school levy. That’s just the way these people think, they spend a lot of money hiring people to do the jobs they should be doing and often accomplish nothing in the process.

That is why the Lakota School District is trying to hire another PR director so that they can attempt to hide stories like what was described above with “spin” so that the district can maintain a successful public image while they blow hundreds of thousands of dollars on sheer stupidity, like paying off Kursman $90,000 by Dec. 16.  Lakota is paying Kursman in the form of three checks: $44,000, with no withholdings for taxes or any other deductions; $44,000, less deductions for applicable federal, state and local income and employment taxes; and $2,000 made payable to Freking & Betz LLC. The $90,000 came from the general fund. Isn’t that nice.  Oh, by the way, Freking & Betz LLC is a personal injury law firm.  (Somebody owes the public an explanation.)

That’s a lot of money taken from a lot of properties around West Chester and Liberty Twp. And the administrators who pay those bills seem to have no concept on what the value of a dollar is which is why they always ask for more in the form of taxes. To them money is like popcorn. All you do when you run out is pop more. And when a school district runs out of money that they’ve consumed like drunken sailors, they simply ask for another tax levy, and hire a PR director to make shit look like a diamond because with all the consumption of money Lakota does, that is mostly what comes out.

I thought of Lakota this morning while I was walking our dogs and ironically that is where the economic metaphor came from.  My wife was complaining that we were out of dog food again, and she was right.  We had just bought a big bag of it two weeks ago and now it was gone.  Where did it go?  As I watched my dogs go to the bathroom in the gentle December rain and specifically shit all over my yard I thought of Lakota.  The dogs do three things, they eat, they sleep and they use the restroom.   Dogs are basically defecation factories.  Sure dogs keep us company to some extent and occupy our time.  They bark and make noise every now and then, but their primary function is to eat and defecate.  And so does the school system.  They eat tax dollars, take credit for the growth of our kids but truly only provide some basic care service. Most of what schools take in ends up as waste just like a dog. 

As I stood in the rain and looked at the nice little prize that one of my fattest dogs left in my yard steaming in the cool air fresh from my dog’s rectum, I thought of Laura Kursman and her $90,000 parting gift.    Aren’t they both the same thing?  The dog ate a lot of food, used some of the energy to bark and look out the window.  Laura Kursman took in a lot of money and barked a little bit and looked out the window, what else does a PR director do, nothing productive.  Once the food moved through my dog’s body that food he ate a few days ago and didn’t turn into fat or energy ended up in my yard.  And Laura once she had taken in all she could and was given more food to just spew it back out in the form of waste, with nothing of any value given back from the investment of money spent.  

I don’t see any difference.

Production Notes: Tail of the Dragon and Daisy Duke

For my local and national readers I invite you to be a fly on the wall for this article, because it is directed at my publisher and all the employees who are working very hard to make my new book Tail of the Dragon a reality.  My editor did a phenomenal job in delivering back to me the manuscript on its second, and most extensive edit, and for putting this project on track for our summer 2012 release date.  The amount of work she did in just three weeks is astounding as I reference the voluminous notes and extensive edits. I was hoping to get this manuscript back during the first week of 2012, but she pulled off the great feat of gaining almost 8 production days, which is tremendous and much appreciated. 

I received contact from the art department over the weekend which is the purpose of this brain-storming post, to help pull into focus the marketing efforts at this stage.  Even though the subject heading for this novel is Philosophy, the story itself is unmistakably about the philosophy of freedom—what is it, how do we get it—and how do we maintain it.  It’s also about why some factions of human society do not want us to have it.   

So in keeping my mind focused while writing Tail of the Dragon I thought often of the old TV show the Dukes of Hazzard and contemplated often why millions of Americans to this very day feel something special for the car in that old show, The General Lee, the 69 Dodge Charger made famous by the TV show.  Even though the show has been over for over 20 years, thousands still show up to see it in person, and to see it jump through the air in live stunt shows like the one below. 

Admittedly the subject matter of the Tail of the Dragon is quite serious at times, but I will admit that I watched this movie preview often while writing the story to keep my mind focused on how the book should look in the mind of the reader.  I tend to be a serious person by nature, so thinking about the latest film version of The Dukes of Hazzard released in 2005, which wasn’t a successful undertaking by Hollywood standards, there were many things that the production did right, and this preview captures many of those aspects wonderfully and I think more represent the tone, pacing, and feel of what Tail of the Dragon is all about, than what ended up on-screen in that film remake. 

As we have discussed in great detail, and what has come up in this latest, and final edit of the book is the need to get to the meat of the story quicker, because the plot essentially takes place during the entire car chase.  All the thematic elements of this story require the car chase to play out in the plot development.  As it is currently written, the characters in Tail of the Dragon have declared that they will do whatever it takes to obtain freedom, so in a society that has so many rules that limit that freedom, a fleeing from those rules is the prime ingredient, so we have successfully taken a car chase that was 50% of the story and took half the book to get there, and incorporated it into the end of the first third of the book at approximately the 30% mark.  From that point much of the story including character development is revealed at speeds over 100 MPH through city streets, back yards, highways, dirt roads and countless roadblocks and police attempts to stop the car.  In conceiving this very action oriented chase I again referred to this scene from the same Dukes of Hazzard movie of 2005.  The action and pacing in this scene is very much how most of Tail of the Dragon will be presented in the mind of the reader.  Our book does have a share of comedy, but much of the dialogue will be presented in a thriller type way.  Much of it is about serious topics instead of the childish slap stick seen here between Knoxville and Scott.  But the style and carefree rebellion of this scene is very much along the line of thinking in Tail of the Dragon. 

I focused this story in the southern states of Tennessee and North Carolina because unlike other parts of the United States, the people in these southern regions have a love for freedom that I think many in America are looking to understand in themselves no matter where they live.  When the Dukes of Hazzard film came out, many in the south were very upset with the production, because they felt the new movie isolated the old cast members who are still held in very high regard all over the south.  I believe the reason was that there has been a tendency especially in modern Hollywood to poke fun at southern culture, and the Dukes of Hazzard as a film was trying to pay homage to a popular television show.  The result was a film with great action scenes that played out like a Jackass film, and much of the heart of what made the Dukes of Hazzard popular was left out of the movie.

But the iconic role of the General Lee in the form of a car as a pursuit of modern freedom has extended from generation to generation in spite of the political attempt to paint southern culture as illiterate, racists, and backward in every fashion.  I think it is evident that people all over America are beginning to see through this obvious political posturing that has spilled over into entertainment.  But when the marketing for the Dukes of Hazzard movie put Jessica Simpson into a music video washing that famous car in a bikini, I can see that they had at least an idea of what America is hungry for in entertainment, and an understanding of the uniquely American philosophy of freedom. 

My biggest complaint in that video is that the doors to the General Lee do not open.  Simpson should have had to crawl through the window like drivers in NASCAR do, because that was one of the features of the General Lee car, that the Duke boys had to climb in and out of the car through the window because the doors were welded shut.  But the rest of the video is dead on to what makes southern culture uniquely freedom loving.  While the modern progressive viewpoint of this video would say that the video is sexist, that the Confederate Flag on top of the car is a reference to racism, and the video portrays an America where a bunch of beer drinking good ol’ boys are fighting for no apparent reason, the imagery is uniquely American and can be seen at events all over the country, particularly in Sturgis, South Dakota at the giant motorcycle rally that happens there every August. 

But the General Lee and the southern breed of woman known as “Daisy Dukes” is a culture aspect that is stronger today than it was 30 years ago when the show first aired.  I see that it’s even stronger now than it was ten years ago as seen in this next video. 

There are millions of Americans and probably citizens of other countries such as Australia, Germany, and Great Britain who I believe are curious about our American idea of freedom and the right to express it, and southern culture in America is uniquely poised to provide that export of philosophy.  So in our cover design and the next steps in the quest to bring Tail of the Dragon to the public by the second or third quarter of 2012, I see that it is our task to capture that freedom in a bottle to provide to the readers who seem hungrier than ever to understand that inner quest for personal liberty. 

I am confident now that I’ve seen the second edit and it is now in my hands once again that we are uniquely positioned to capture on the pages of literature the greatest car chase in the history of imagination, in a race that begins at the White House and ends with a definition of what it means to be free.

LaHood Brings Money to Cincinnati: Picking up members of the opposite sex

Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood came to Cincinnati recently with an arm load of money for the much disputed streetcar project to give to Mayor Mark Mallory’s pet development. The streetcar received from the Secretary of Transportation almost $11 million for the $95 million dollar budget to continue on with the effort that passed narrowly 51% by 49% in November 2011 with some very controversial ballot language clouding the issue to a large degree. In that particular vote, NO meant Yes, and it was very difficult to actually know what the people of Cincinnati wanted as a result of that election because people on both sides were confused as to how they should vote due to the confusing wording, which was done on purpose. But never-the-less, the streetcar issue passed which brought LaHood to Cincinnati as a kind of progressive victory lap celebration, and Doc Thompson of 700 WLW wasn’t too happy about it as he discussed it on his day time radio show. When LaHood spoke about how the people of Cincinnati want a streetcar he was simply ignoring the 49% of the voters who shot the proposal down. This is a standard tactic of progressives in politics where they attempt to build a consensus with a denial of the existence of any opposition. Public schools have been using this strategy for many years now to drive up the property taxes to pay for community education when school levies fail. The typical reaction is to put the measure on the ballot 6 months to a year later again and again till opposition withers away and once the new tax is passed, the progressive politicians pretend that the entire community has reached an agreement on the measure.

What these progressive politicians are essentially doing are using a weakness in the human condition that is innate and turning it against the people they have been elected to serve in an effort to impose a set of values that the political class embraces, but might not be generally accepted by the people who elected those politicians in the first place. The weakness exists in the human being because the methods used to impose political imposition on a unknowing public are similar to the human mating rituals. In politics we might call the methods that Ray LaHood, Mark Mallory and Barack Obama used to build a streetcar in Cincinnati a variation of The Delphi Technique which was developed by Saul Aliskey. For a much more simplified explanation of what politicians like Mark Mallory and Ray LaHood are doing in this streetcar deal I will refer your attention to the pick-up artist who has developed methods of obtaining the phone number of a women whom he has never met in less than one minute. This pick-up artist knows that he must gain the trust of the woman whom he has never met quickly, overcome her reservations, and gain information about her which causes her to invest emotional energy into him, therefore giving him the information he’s seeking. Watch how he does it:

This next video takes the whole process a few steps further. In this short video a group of guys are attempting to pick up two women in a bar. What you will see even though it is done with some level of humor and good fun is essentially the same as what our government is doing to us every day starting with Barack Obama speaking into his head set, and allowing the information to trickle down through his minions Ray LaHood and Mark Mallory to seduce the young women, (the general public) into believing that the pick-up artists have something that the girls need. High speed rail and street cars are part of the progressive platform, just as the progressive income tax is, and the gradual attack of property in the forms of high taxation. By increasing taxes, particularly on property to fund education, progressive socialism is accomplishing two tremendous strategies that can be seen clearly under their Ten Planks, free public education, and decreased property rights. Yes—that is what progressives are after. Just like the guys in the above video want to have sex with the two women, progressives want to screw the tax payer and to dominate their lives in virtually every way possible……….didn’t you know that? The progressive push to create high-speed rail and street cars is not to connect the nation in a positive way, but to focus large population centers to live near these government controlled areas so progressive politics can continue to gain momentum. Like the pick-up artist tells the girls whatever he thinks the girls want to hear so that the girls will lower their defenses, progressives use buzz words like “job creation” and “Seed money” to lure their targets in for the great seduction. Listen to Lahood talking about those very issues here. When listening notice his emphasis on the $2 billion in federal money, also notice his mention of the cost of fuel. This is why progressives do not want to drill for oil in America or they are against pipelines, yet support new construction in places like Brazil and Venezuela. They purposely want fuel costs to go up so Americans are attracted to the aspects of culture that Lahood is talking about. It is not to protect the environment. It’s to advance the cause of socialism…..sorry to inform you of that if you didn’t already know.

But why do progressives want trains and street cars? Well, it’s all about bloc voting. As I write this the Gallup poll of President Obama’s job approval rating is sitting at only 41% support his job performance while 51% disprove and the differences are undecided. Yet the Republicans are struggling to find a candidate who can beat Obama in a presidential election—why? If a majority of the American people disprove of the President, then why wouldn’t he be thrown out of office in the next election? Because while the President and his progressive party could travel thousands of miles of rural countryside, which is a majority of the United States, and have to find voters with a search warrant, the President is very popular in places where the government gives away things to buy votes. Progressives do well in inner cities which have dense populations and vote democratic. Young people who can’t buy a home yet tend to rent apartments in metropolitan areas and they tend to vote democratic because they have been programmed to do so through union controlled public schools. Illegal immigrants hide out in large cities and live with their legitimate family members who provide refuge for them. It is the legal immigrant that votes democratic to protect deportation of their relatives. The gay populations tend to live in metropolitan areas also and of course they vote democratic. Welfare recipients live in metropolitan areas—so as you can see dear reader, although most of those who vote in a progressive fashion are in the minority, politicians have been scandalously clever in finding ways to get the liberal-minded all to live in concentrated areas. This allows a progressive president to capture states that have high electoral counts and to carry those states if the state has more than one or two large cities. This is the condition in California where high populations in Los Angeles, San Diego, and San Francisco in sheer bloc voting power can dominate the conservative voters who occupy the suburbs and win an entire state’s electoral votes for Barack Obama. Ohio, another key battleground state for the presidency is very conservative between the cities, but contains four large cities, Cincinnati, Columbus, Cleveland and Toledo. The rest of the state is very traditional, but progressives in a century of give-a-ways by stealing money from our taxes to give to those mentioned minority groups have built an entrenched bloc voting monopoly that has rigged the system in their favor, and they used our money to do it!

This is why progressives want High Speed Rail and street cars. They are appealing to their base who tend to be broke anyway, on welfare, or too irresponsible to operate their own car. And they want to keep those sad people who way, close to the cities and dependent on government where they can be controlled and used to buy votes in future elections. It doesn’t matter at all to Ray LaHood, Barack Obama, or Mark Mallory that a majority of American’s do not support their policies. It doesn’t bother them because progressives view America like a pick-up artist views a woman he wishes to sleep with then leave the next morning with a fake number and no way to contact the man who did the deed to the unsuspected woman who can’t even find her panties the next morning because the thief stole those too.

Doc was right; LaHood’s visit to Cincinnati was simply thug behavior. It was Chicago style; organized crime oriented bullying to flaunt in the faces of the masses that resistance is futile and that the progressive political machine will get what they want one way or the other, in spite of what those same masses have to say about it. Because to them, they do not respect the average tax payer, to them, all of society is a potential candidate that they would like to inject their sex organs into simply for the sport of conquest and a maintenance of their power so that whenever they wish they may use, abuse and disrespect us at their will.
