Why People Don’t Crash Into Each Other All The Time: Adam Smith’s ‘Wealth of Nations’ and the “Invisible Hand”

The Invisible Hand, Why People Don’t Crash Into Each Other With Their Cars

To me, there is no question.  But the Biden administration and the Obama administration before it was all about Keynesian economics, which was a disaster from the outset of the Red Decade when the socialist John Maynard Keynes implemented it in England.  When you hear Biden or any Davos billionaire talk up Keynesian economics, what you are hearing is utter destruction by macroeconomic socialists and students of Karl Marx intending to give government entirely too much power, which is why the most power-hungry of our society like it so much.  Billionaires want this system because they can always control politicians with their money, which ultimately lets them rule the world from the shadows.  It was a disaster from day one.  When Keynes first spoke about it, failure was already percolating, and it is even more so today.  The only reason people don’t have a stronger opinion about Keynesian economics is that it’s the only kind of economics they teach in college, really, and all the colleges of the world, for that matter. It’s the only thing Joe Biden knows, and when he says the world’s top minds all agree with is infrastructure plan, he’s essentially saying they all studied Keynesian economics at the same schools by the same loser teachers, for all the same reasons.  And they never figured it out, and they continue to stand by their Keynesian economics in the way that they promote vaccines for Covid when we all know that they do nothing for treatment.  Only methods like hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin effectively treat Covid.  Yet, the government insists on failed methods to cover up their sheer stupidity from the outset.  The government never wants to admit that they were wrong on economics or disease control.  That is why they can’t be trusted and must be heavily managed by the public.  Because government always tends to go astray.

Of course, my position is not one that I reject everything.  But I reject much of what the progressive era has produced, including the work of Sigmond Freud, Carl Jung, the positions of the media and politics over that span, and most of what people have been taught in university.  It’s not all garbage, but we used to know better.  And the answers are there. The progressive era was essentially the creation of Karl Marks and Edward Bellamy, where they made a global move to micromanage people with centralized control, and it’s been a disaster.  To this day, many still cling to it, but that’s because they are stupid and have forgotten how things really work in the world. When it comes to economics, and America was essentially its creation, the book I most treasure and have read countless times is The Wealth of Nations by Adam Smith.  It’s what all economic theories should be based on. We can see the benefits of American culture as it relates to the rest of the world. It has been the undisputed champion of the great economic theories of our times, including Greek, Roman, and Egyptian societies.  Never did something work so well as the ideas of Adam Smith’s Wealth of Nations.  Progressives didn’t like it because they wanted central control. Smith’s invisible hand is a repulsive concept to those who want to micromanage others for all kinds of psychologically wrong reasons.

When I explain The Wealth of Nations to people and the concept of the “invisible hand,” I often talk about America’s car culture.  I tell the story in the video above of me driving my family through the Smokey Mountains with our RV in the fast lane of I-40.  Next to us is a logging truck.  In front of us was a dump truck.  All around them are numerous cars and trucks of all shapes and sizes winding through the mountains and tunnels at 70 MPH.

In many cases, there are only a few feet between us and the next car.  Next to us on the left side is a concrete wall, and beyond that is the opposite lane of traffic going the other way at the same speed.  The whole journey is perilous if looking at how the government looks at things or the Keynesian economic theory.  If anyone person makes the slightest mistake, there could be a 50 car pile up and hundreds of people killed.  But truly, seldom do crashes ever happen, and statistically, we might go through our whole lives with many hours of opportunity for errors to occur and only have a few crashes.  As a society, we have accepted the risk and enjoy the rewards.  If you leave in the morning with your car, you are most of the time going to come home safe and sound at the end of the day because it is in everyone’s self-interest to preserve their property.  So crashes seldom occur—that is the nature of the “Invisible Hand.” Self-interest governs behavior for the benefit of all—the key to understanding The Wealth of Nations and the general success of America as a global superpower.

Keynesian economics is like the subway, public bus, or the public toilet with people making a mess and never cleaning it up.  When people don’t own the property, they don’t take care of it because it replaces self-interest with shared benefit.  And that means that the lowest value always wins.  If the person dressed in a nice suit is sitting next to some barely surviving bum who hasn’t washed their clothes in weeks, the nicely dressed person has everything to lose in the investment while the bum loses nothing.  They can only gain from such an exchange.  So the net result is that public transportation is dirty, uncomfortable, too expensive, and it never gets you where you want to go because other people determine your travel route.  Everything is centrally planned, so the net result is that everyone is just a bit unhappy with the shared experience.  It’s not by accident that liberals like public transportation for the same reasons, and conservatives love their cars.  They want independence to decide where they want to go and when they will get there.  And they don’t like to share their space with people who aren’t equally invested in their appearance.

When people are free to come and go as they please and have a stake in getting there, they tend not to run into each other, which might damage their property or their life.  When you look at a highway at 3 AM and wonder where all those people are going at all hours of the day, all days of the week, no central government could provide instruction for all those little details.  Only self-interest could drive such ambition, and out of that activity comes a tremendous economic benefit. I’ve driven all over the United States at all hours of the day, and seldom, even in the most remote section of the country, was I ever alone on the road for long.   That is the essence of Adam Smith’s Wealth of Nations.  It is the economic means of American life, it should be studied exclusively in high school, starting in the fifth grade, and nothing else matters.  I will never say that Adam Smith was the final word on economic theory. I’m sure future improvements will be made as necessity dictates.  But Keynesian economics was not that improvement.  It was an attack on the free market by centralized planners who wanted an administrative state.  Not people who wish to support or understand why any country is better when people are turned loose to act on behalf of their own self-interest freely.  But we see the magic every day, in our cars, on our roads, anywhere where people travel freely with an extension of themselves with private transportation.  Any trace of Keynesian economics in American society or any society for that matter should be eradicated from our minds forever and remembered for its stupidity and malice for which it was constructed.  We need to stick with what works and has worked.  Not what only gives power to the most insecure and unintelligent among us, the modern progressives.

What a Tyrant Is: Why freedom is more important than order

What a Tyrant Is

Clearly, the United Nations is making their long-planned move to pull the United States under their umbrella, to satisfy the ultimate strategy of progressives over the last century. That is a one-world government that they control.  And in America, the Democrat Party is fully committed to making that happen, so much so that Joe Biden and the John Kerry types are pushing forward a radical progressive agenda despite what voters in the United States might think of it.  They are already functioning from the change state point of view where the world will be operating from one government brought together through rules of climate change, which they made up entirely to fulfill their cause.  Covid was created in a Chinese lab to crush the world’s economies and create a “Build Back Better” socialist plan that would lead to the Great Reset.  None of that is speculative fiction; in fact, it’s the truth of 2021 as we move into 2022.  Given what these people have shown they are willing to do, can you see now why they committed massive election fraud in 2020 to get rid of Trump?  Trump and the MAGA supporters were in the way, and they couldn’t have that.  So they got rid of him for this new globalist agenda, and they didn’t care what rules they had to break.

This, of course, has shocked many people, leaving them to declare statements about how unconstitutional it all is, how unfair, how tyrannical.  Biden has responded by mocking our cries for freedom because the plan was always to use safety over freedom to drive people like herds of cattle toward the cesspools of globalism.  To crush the American economy and redistribute the wealth elsewhere.  That is, after all, how all our jobs over the years ended up in China.  But few know what freedom means or even what a tyrant is. How can we say that a school board is a tyrannical organization or a presidential administration?  How could those puffy Pillsbury Dough Boy socialists in the United Nations be “tyrants.” They look like Santa Clause in most cases who want to help people.  Without a proper definition and value of what freedom means, our arguments against this wave of globalism against our American sovereignty come out flat and uninspiring.  So let’s set some definition parameters for the use of argument.

To define a tyrant, I always think, as I said in the video above, of a parent who sends their kid to gymnastic practice hoping that they’ll become so good that they might someday make the Olympic team and be national heroes on the cover of a cereal box.  That is ultimately the kind of neurosis that the people in the United Nations think of their billionaire sponsors and us.  That if we would only listen to them, they’d have our lives all figured out, and we’d thank them later.  This parent-child relationship is prevalent in our society.  Lots of parents move to schools or send their kids to schools that have healthy sports programs hoping that a college recruiter will notice their child and that a path for success will be established for them just by being in the right place at the right time. It’s the dream of many parents to see their kids achieve the success they were never able to accomplish in life.  But, the problem is, when parents act in such a way, they are taking away the child’s free will and forever harming their future development.  The parent might justify that it’s for the child’s own good; what can a child know that a grown adult has seen for themselves.  So the child should just shut up and listen.  This is what a tyrant is.

A tyrant is a person or an entity of any kind that lives through the lives of other people.  And people who declare they want “freedom” essentially say they don’t want to be connected to such people.  When we say we want “freedom,” we say we don’t want our lives directed by other people.  Yet the Democrat Party and their partners in the United Nations, the globalists as we like to call them, insist that we all connect and that they must live through us the way a parent lives through a child who is enrolling their child in sports programs, not for the health of the child, but the ego of the parents.  The parent wants the neighbors to be in awe of their sports star child; they want respect from the child’s antics by their peer groups.

In the same way, the tyrant of every kind must live off the life of others so that they can associate themselves with success.  They are natural parasites to the order of the universe, and what’s worse, they think they are doing good.  They justify their actions because it is in their nature to be parasites.  So when we say we want freedom, we aren’t talking about the Revolutionary War in 1776 against the English.  We aren’t talking about Republicans starting a Civil War with Democrats in the American South to free the slaves.  When we say freedom, those are expressions of freedom, but we genuinely want not to be chained to those who demand that we live our lives through other people.  We want to be free to live our own lives in our own way.  Not at the expense of others but under our own accord.

When Biden mocks the American notion of freedom, it is because he has already signed America up to serve the masters of the United Nations, the socialists of France and Portugal. They live vicariously through their histories, sipping wine in art museums.   Not only do these people live through other people, but they loot off their histories, claiming them as their own, even though the wars and conquests of the past were not even closely associated with the modern day.  They use such justifications to treat America like a child that has gone astray and now must be spanked in front of the world and be told what to do from now on.  Yes, we want “freedom” from that kind of idiotic behavior.  We want to be free of people who think like that.  We don’t want to live our lives preplanned in the halls of Europe by stuffy old losers who are too timid to live their own lives and make their own histories.  They are looking for cover, and they need us to do it.  That is why Joe Biden mocks us.  He is an old man who has lived his whole life through other people, so it’s too late for him.  And he knows it.  The way he hides such a thing from his own mind is to bring the whole world into a similar condition.  In that way, he would never be remembered for being such a loser.  Yet, that is just how it will be for him and all those in the United Nations who have plotted against America and all of us with such elaborate plans.  Just as the parent who finds their 16-year-old daughter suddenly screaming rebellion once they are old enough to make their own decisions.  The little girl who went to gymnastics since they were five years old suddenly wants to be their own person, and the parents, of course, will be devastated, but that is the nature of freedom, and what every living thing on planet earth craves, whether or not they know how to express it.

The Importance of Freedom: Why Joe Biden and other progressives are so dangerous to a productive life

Freedom is the Most Important Thing

Yeah, the video for this article is a bit dark, it was early in the morning, and it was raining heavily at times.  But it was my open window to do that kind of thing, so I made the best of it.  Yet, I have been hoping for these kinds of topics in many ways because I’ve been thinking about them for a very long time.  So much so that the issues of my latest book, The Gunfighter’s Guide to Business, is all about them.  If Joe Biden had not come along, many of these topics might have stayed in obscurity because the need to flesh them out into the open would have never occurred.  But in this case, when Joe Biden continues to rail against “freedom” and suggest that “safety” is our primary concern, he is proving a point I have long been making.  And for that, I am grateful.  So no matter how much rain and lack of light there was, I couldn’t wait to get my thoughts out on the matter to clarify some things that many of us feel but never can quite articulate.  I would say that it’s probably one of the most important things we learn as human beings, that delicate balance between safety and risk and how few people learn to manage that balance throughout a long life.  But for those who do economic activity flourishes, precisely this trait that all the philosophers from previous centuries never quite figured out.  But the American experiment brought them forth, and we can see them most obviously in the creation of amusement parks.

As human beings, we have a natural lust for risk, and as intelligent creatures, we also want to control risk.  So we created roller coasters which are simulated dangers that we can pretty much assure ourselves will be completely safe.  We want to feel the threat of a roller coaster, but we don’t want to die while experiencing it.  I would call that in my book the management of human needs.  All good management considers those needs in humans and specifies a work culture to their full utilization.  A workforce that feels it can risk thoughts and ideas without the danger of losing their job is critical to innovation.  Cultures that have too many rules and regulations hinder this and create an oppressive, unsatisfactory work experience.  This is the case in every business and is undoubtedly the problem of every government.  We had a very risk-obsessed administration in Trump, which many of us liked because it turned on the gears to a productive economy; people felt safe to take risks and do what it takes to move and create money.  Now we have a very safety-oriented administration with too many rules and regulations that stifle creativity and work ambition, slowing the economy down predictably.

In my book, The Gunfighter’s Guide to Business, I obsess over why people do work, which goes well beyond the financial rewards.  People work, but not just because they want to pay their rent or car payment.  For people who understand good management, people want more from their work than just financial payment.  This is often the great mystery of a good football team with many players equally strong and as fast as other players.  But a good coach and organization have figured out a way to align all those minds toward the joy of a victory.  Good management helps share the victory with every team member, which is the essence of what leadership is all about.  Good leadership is one of the least understood elements of all philosophy and the various political elements that have formed over the entire span of the human race.  Yet, in America, by removing all the previous static cultures of oppressive government, whether, from the church or some king, we discovered a lot about humans, which erupted into the most explosive economy in the world during the shortest period.

The Biden administration desires to return to the safety and security of big government-driven by monarchs and emperors.  Most left-leaning people are the type of people who are averse to risk and seek security and protection by some form of organization or government.  It’s not an accident that people who work for large corporations tend to vote for Democrats because the corporate culture is often stifling to creativity and innovation, trading risk for security.  All the poor little children who grow up with panicky parents teaching them to be afraid of lightning, rain and make their kids wear bicycle helmets just for riding down the sidewalk are, without knowing it, killing their children’s ability to think for themselves and live a life of embracing risk without destroying their lives.  A life without risk is a life that is essentially dead, and that is what we see out of the Biden economy.  Those most uncomfortable with risk are now in charge and imposing a boring life of too much regulation and caution on the rest of society.  Covid rules have only hindered that trend more by even taking away the illusion of some danger in life.  That could be compared to going to an amusement park to find all the roller coasters closed, but that you could stand in line for them.  People wouldn’t choose to do that if there was no reward for standing in line, leaving the amusement park losing a lot of money in attendance.  If people don’t believe their work will give them something tangible, some level of satisfaction, they are less inclined to participate.  They might go through the motions to get their paycheck, but they will do no more if they don’t feel connected to risk and victory.

I argue in The Gunfighter’s Guide to Business that many people will do just about anything for the mere opportunity to gain treasure and a taste of victory.  That trait propelled our economy into the greatness we have achieved so far, so it is not surprising that the moment that risk is taken away from our society and safety is over-emphasized, declines in productivity would be evident to all.  Economic stagnation happens when the thrill of doing work is lost, and a job becomes a means to paying for one’s obligations in life. It’s the freedom to choose risk over safety that all humans crave, but few ever realize the key to their happiness.  A happy society finds a balance between safety and risk.  Yet when safety is used to stifle risk, then bad things happen.  This is why all socialist and communist countries have failed and will always fail.  Organizations, whether they are companies, or governments fail to understand that leadership is best when they organize a team toward risk to realize rewards.  But when leadership is ignored, and safety is over-emphasized, the result is collective paralysis.  Then it cannot be a surprise when economic activity moves into a dormant state, with shipping containers sitting around waiting to be unloaded, people not participating in the workforce, and everything else slows down in a supply chain.  When work is burdened with too much safety and regulation, people check out and put their minds where there are fewer limits on them.  And that is a natural reaction in all human beings.  Some people are comfortable with risk; some can’t handle it at all.  But it is along these lines, not in politics, that all people find themselves either happy or unhappy with the conditions of their world.   Therefore, what matters most in the world is that people have the freedom to pick their fate because the world as a whole depends on the results of the few risk-takers who propel all society forward into innovation and goodness.

Screw Our Freedoms: ‘The Brothers Karamazov’ would have been different if written in Deadwood

Screw Our Freedoms, no, I don’t think so

It was pretty amazing to see the massive panic coming out of the Biden administration over the vaccine push and mask mandates.  Stunning really, from celebrities to Dr. Fauci himself, last week leading into this one has been a test of sorts for this global push for a central government to take over all day-to-day activity.  But for that to happen, they had to scare us into imprisoning ourselves into the cage they intended for us.  Instead, what happened was that they found most of us refused to enter and are running about doing our own thing regardless of their taunts.  That left Arnold Schwarzenegger to tell us on CNN to “screw your freedoms.” Dr. Fauci said pretty much the same, something in direct reference to Kristi Noem, the governor of South Dakota, as over a million people descended on the Sturgis Bike Rally, an annual event I talk about a lot.   Despite the Covid warnings of the new “Delta variant,” people went anyway and didn’t wear masks.  People were getting tired of the government crying wolf every day, and they were finally starting to ignore them.  I would argue that people should have stopped listening to the government months ago, but ultimately, people were getting it, and the government has been in a bit of a panic.  So much so that Biden avoided talking about the evacuation of Afghanistan but instead deflected comment to the booster shot to the vaccine that would be available soon.  Covid is their cover story to hide all the crimes that have been committed, even when the world was on fire and all they wanted to talk about was a glass of water.

This is Where We Are

God bless Kristi Noem, who went to Sturgis herself after a week of the press following Dr. Fauci and trying to put tremendous peer pressure on her to cave to the gods of Covid.  She rode her horse onto the stage at Outlaw Square in Deadwood carrying an American flag in front of a large crowd and gave an excellent speech on freedom.  The optics were tremendous, and you could tell by what the media didn’t show.  Hardly anybody covered a prominent American governor riding her horse carrying an American flag while wearing a cowboy hat down the streets of Deadwood, South Dakota, at all.  But for Kristi Noem, it was her answer to the criticism.   It was a kind of Braveheart moment in this new American story, and it infuriated the government.  Wait, Kristi Noem is the government.  So was Donald Trump. Let’s say instead, these insurgents connected to international Marxism have infected Washington D.C. and other academic circles with the intent to overthrow our American Constitution.  How about that?  We don’t want to overthrow the government.  We want our government to resume administrative power and take away the leverage that the spooks, kooks, and losers of international Marxism have over us presently.  We let them have that leverage after all out of niceness, and they misread that niceness as weakness.  But that niceness has expired.

This is what Leadership looks like

While all this was going on, I read Vivek Ramasamy’s new book Woke, Inc. a few times, which I liked a lot.  But, there was a lot I didn’t like at all, which I attribute to him being on the inside of corporate America for a long time—even being tempted by the fruits of globalism.  I loved his book because I loved his perspective.  But as I closed the book for the third time in a 70 some hour period, I concluded that Vivek is still learning. He’s a brilliant guy who has made a lot of money, but he’s still the kid in India who grew up with a caste system spoiled by American capitalism.  He thinks the modern Woke problem can be solved like the story he recites in the book The Brothers Karamazov, where the Grand Inquisitor committed Christ to death because the Church no longer had a use for Jesus.  Jesus Christ had served his purpose, and now it was time to die and let the Church handle things.  Well, we can’t help where we are born, and I’m perfectly open to people fleeing from where they came from to come to America for a chance. I’m even more for America spreading its influence to many of those places so that they can get western civilization in their back yards, which makes what’s happening in Afghanistan that much more of a tragedy.  But in America, when we get tired of being poked in the eye by some bad guys, we won’t be kissing them on the cheek and leaving quietly as Jesus did in that story.  The Brothers Karamazov is a very European story. That’s not how things are done in America, or at least they haven’t been.  And that planned assumption that Americans would passively sit around and be bossed around was a bad one from the start.  Yes, there are plenty of bootlickers in America who will.  There are more who won’t, and that is what’s going on with the masks and the vaccines.

Liberty or Death……..but where are the deaths?

I only bring up Vivek because he wrote a reasonably significant book that the mainstreamers have fully embraced.  He represents many people who hatched this Covid plan, and clearly, they don’t understand Americans.  I was enormously proud of Kristi Noem when she hoisted that flag on stage atop her horse in Deadwood.  I had just returned from that exact spot a few weeks ago.  Deadwood and South Dakota, in many ways, are vestiges of freedom that people growing up in India or Russia can’t even imagine until they see it for themselves.  And even then, the culture change is dramatic. It’s not an accident that Mike Lindell held his Symposium in South Dakota. That’s where the heart of America is, and you can certainly feel it when you visit. It’s a long way from Wall Street and the hacks of investment that Vivek knows.  People who ride horses, shoot guns, and love their American flag aren’t putting up with what they are seeing, and the current government is just now getting a feel for it.  These kinds of Americans aren’t going to be controlled by Facebook or Google. They’ll just come up with their alternative.  They aren’t wearing masks or have the government tell them to take the medicine they don’t want.  And if the government gets too pushy, they’ll get shoved back.  When people wonder why Afghanistan is the “graveyard of empires,” as Biden calls it, they haven’t seen anything yet when they try to go door to door in Ohio or South Dakota to confiscate guns and force people to take a vaccine.  Instead, they will see something far different from what Vivek Ramaswamy proposed with his example of Christ versus The Grand Inquisitor.  If The Grand Inquisitor tried some of that stuff that he tried to pull on Jesus Christ in the city of Deadwood, or Sturgis………well, I would promise that he would have been shot dead before he ever had a chance to sentence Christ to death.  Fyodor Dostoevsky’s great book would have been a short story instead of a great literary classic if written in Deadwood.  And the bad guy would have died quickly and spectacularly under a hail of gunfire.   The American way to fight these things ultimately isn’t with a kiss on the cheek, but a hand on our guns and the willingness to defend ourselves when pressed by an authoritarian government that does not have our best interests in mind.  And it’s good to see people finally sticking up for themselves because that is ultimately the way to peace where such a tragedy could be avoided.  Do like Nancy Reagan used to say, “Just Say No.”

Mt Rushmore: God spoke to me there

God spoke to me at Mt. Rushmore

I was deeply touched by the Mt. Rushmore firework display that President Trump and Kristi Noem did during the 4th of July Celebrations of 2020.  I was riveted by the entire ceremony and still remember watching the complete coverage on television.  With Air Force One flying in front of Mt. Rushmore while landing at Rapid City for the eventual arrival of Trump to give his holiday speech, the whole event was a reminder to me that all was right with the world.  After all, it was a hostile election year, the world was looking to destroy us all who voted and supported President Trump, and we were deep in the lockdowns at that time for Covid.  We had no idea if we were even going to have an NFL season at that point.  The world was a mess, and this firework display in the Black Hills was the first time a large group of anybody had gathered without social distancing and the stupid Covid masks to do anything.  It took a lot of guts for South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem to allow the event, let alone for Trump, to attend personally in a campaign-style get-together.  It was a fantastic event to see, and I savored every moment of it.  It impacted me so much that within a year, I would visit there myself with my family to stand in the same spot that Trump had given that magnificent speech.

A Holy Place

As I said, I have been traveling a lot so far in 2021, so far 10,000 miles in my RV visiting the lesser-known parts of the United States that don’t get talked about on cable news.  If you watch the mainstream news, which is inspired these days heavily by global expansion interests with a very un-American slant, you’d think that everything was going to Hell in a handbasket.  But truthfully, things are much better than they appear, and I had that experience while visiting Mt. Rushmore myself over the last few weeks.  I was not disappointed.  I spent some good time there with my family, bought a lot of books in the gift shops, and felt compelled to stand in all the places that Trump had stepped.  To see how things on that fateful firework day looked to him and get a temperature of what America was thinking despite what we hear on the nightly news.  Mt. Rushmore is the kind of place everyone should visit; it is in many ways more critical and honest than Washington, D.C. is. I’ve been to D.C. several times, but not Mt. Rushmore.  Rushmore is one of those places that isn’t near anything in my life patterns.  So I had to go out of my way to get there.  Washington comes up much more often since many things happen around the Capital.  Perhaps that’s why Rushmore has managed to preserve much better what the essence of America truly is and has become a palace of intellectualism that has deep meaning and is highly substantive.

I had a moment at Rushmore; the rest of my family was getting ice cream at the fine establishment that was there on-site; it was very crowded, so the line was long.  That left one of my daughters and I to go to the nearest book store that they have at the monument.  I was looking for treasures I hadn’t read before in books, which I had already read 75% of what they had there.  But there was 25% I hadn’t, which led me to a nice stack of books I bought, which I discussed in the video above.  As I was buying them, I could look out the window at the bottom of the observation station and see the sculpture.  My daughter was looking at the giant mural of Gutzon Borglum and his sculpture rappelling all over the making of Mt. Rushmore, and she noticed that all those hard workers were wearing hats honest to the period.  She said, “Dad, you were born a century too late.” Because I have always worn hats, I love hats, especially big-brimmed expensive hats made of leather and felt.  I thought about what she said as I looked at my stack of books and replied, “maybe I was born when I was to keep the memory of that time alive and to explain it in these crazy times to people confused and less fortunate to arrive at such a place when maybe it could be the most important thing in their lives.” It’s true; I do love places like that; it is composed of my two favorite things in life, great literature, and studious influence while displaying the far-flung ambitions of people like Borglum.  To build Mt. Rushmore there in those Black Hills in the way he did was extraordinary, perhaps for just the purpose of these times, when people needed to remember most why their country was so important and unique.

I was always sure I would go to Mt. Rushmore one day, but my accelerated urgency was because of what Trump had done last year.  I had to make my pilgrimage.  It seemed to me and still feels that way, as the most important thing I could have done, and somehow I managed to have most of my immediate family there to do it, my two kids, their husbands, and all my grandkids, even the family dog.  It was a glorious day, and I spent a bit of particular time with both of my daughters that only they understood.  And I stood at that spot where Trump gave his speech and just let the events of the last year wash over me.  I wanted to see Rushmore not just for what Gutzon Borglum wanted us to see of his grand sculpture, but for how Trump and Noem had seen the world on that courageous day when Covid ruled the world. They defied it to host a firework display to celebrate our freedom in the way only America celebrates. Yes, I was having a supercharged moment, and I feel thus inspired currently and very fulfilled.  Whatever we think of as God spoke to me there, I know what needs to be done.  It was a magical place, and since leaving there, I have taken much of it with me with my books purchased at that moment mentioned.  I may be out of step with the current, because yes, we should remember what we did well in the past.  And Mt. Rushmore was created to have these moments, and there were thousands and thousands of people there for the same reasons as me.  They wanted to touch the meaning of America even if all they saw were faces carved in stone and experienced the patriotism of the Black Hills by the tourist traps, which I love, especially in Keystone.  I left there knowing I’ll come back often.  I recommend to everyone that if you haven’t been, make plans to do so.  Go and see what Gutzon Borglum intended to share with all of us, his intense love of America, captured there in an epic format for the future to learn from.  And in his small way, and with us to gain from that knowledge, the preservation of America is important and worth fighting for, which is precisely what I intend to do.

The Gunfighter’s Guide to Business

Now Everyone Wants Net Neutrality: People running to government for protection from actions the government committed.

Everyone suddenly is excited about Ohio’s Attorney General David Yost suing the government over control of the internet as a public utility explicitly targeting Google’s use of search engines to limit conservative speech.  Doesn’t everyone remember Net Neutrality that the government desperately wanted?  What everyone is cheering on with Yost is essentially the passage of Net Neutrality.  Because in free internet, we have seen a government alliance with Google, Facebook, Twitter, and many others where they have gone out and done the crimes of government, Chinese style censorship and all, and now people are saying “uncle,” they can’t take it.  Are these too big to fail? Tech companies have become villains, and now we are crying to the government to help us?  When it was government working both sides against the middle.  Doesn’t everyone smell the rat?

From the Desk of Donald J. Trump: Have fun!

Donald J. Trump

12:02pm May 19, 2021

I have just learned, through leaks in the mainstream media, that after being under investigation from the time I came down the escalator 5 ½ years ago, including the fake Russia Russia Russia Hoax, the 2 year, $48M, No Collusion Mueller Witch Hunt, Impeachment Hoax #1, Impeachment Hoax #2, and others, that the Democrat New York Attorney General has “informed” my organization that their “investigation” is no longer just a civil matter but also potentially a “criminal” investigation working with the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office. There is nothing more corrupt than an investigation that is in desperate search of a crime. But, make no mistake, that is exactly what is happening here. The Attorney General of New York literally campaigned on prosecuting Donald Trump even before she knew anything about me. She said that if elected, she would use her office to look into “every aspect” of my real estate dealings. She swore that she would “definitely sue” me. She boasted on video that she would be, and I quote, “a real pain in the ass.” She declared, “just wait until I’m in the Attorney General’s office,” and, ”I’ve got my eyes on Trump Tower.” She also promised that, if elected, she would “join with law enforcement and other Attorney Generals across this nation in removing this President from office,” and, “It’s important that everyone understand that the days of Donald Trump are coming to an end.” The Attorney General made each of these statements, not after having had an opportunity to actually look at the facts, but BEFORE she was even elected, BEFORE she had seen even a shred of evidence. This is something that happens in failed third world countries, not the United States. If you can run for a prosecutor’s office pledging to take out your enemies, and be elected to that job by partisan voters who wish to enact political retribution, then we are no longer a free constitutional democracy. Likewise, the District Attorney’s office has been going after me for years based on a lying, discredited low life, who was not listened to or given credibility by other prosecutorial offices, and sentenced to 3 years in prison for lying and other events unrelated to me. These investigations have also been going on for years with members and associates of the Trump Organization being viciously attacked, harassed, and threatened, in order to say anything bad about the 45th President of the United States. This would include having to make up false stories. Numerous documents, all prepared by large and prestigious law and accounting firms, have been examined, and many hours of testimony have been taken from many people, some of whom I have not seen in years. These Democrat offices are consumed with this political and partisan Witch Hunt at a time when crime is up big in New York City, shootings are up 97%, murders are up 45%, a rate not seen in 40 years, drugs and criminals are pouring into our Country in record numbers from our now unprotected Southern Border, and people are fleeing New York for other much safer locations to live. But the District Attorney and Attorney General are possessed, at an unprecedented level, with destroying the political fortunes of President Donald J. Trump and the almost 75 million people who voted for him, by far the highest number ever received by a sitting President. That is what these investigations are all about—a continuation of the greatest political Witch Hunt in the history of the United States. Working in conjunction with Washington, these Democrats want to silence and cancel millions of voters because they don’t want “Trump” to run again. As people are being killed on the sidewalks of New York at an unprecedented rate, as drugs and crime of all kinds are flowing through New York City at record levels, with absolutely nothing being done about it, all they care about is taking down Trump. Our movement, which started with the Great Election Win of 2016, is perhaps the biggest and most powerful in the history of our Country. But the Democrats want to cancel the Make America Great Again movement, not by Making America First, but by Making America Last. No President has been treated the way I have. With all of the crime and corruption you read about with others, nothing happens, they only go after Donald Trump. After prosecutorial efforts the likes of which nobody has ever seen before, they failed to stop me in Washington, so they turned it over to New York to do their dirty work. This is what I have been going through for years. It’s a very sad and dangerous tale for our Country, but it is what it is, and we will overcome together. I have built a great company, employed thousands of people, and all I do is get unfairly attacked and abused by a corrupt political system. It would be so wonderful if the effort used against President Donald J. Trump, who lowered taxes and regulations, rebuilt our military, took care of our Veterans, created Space Force, fixed our border, produced our vaccine in record-setting time (years ahead of what was anticipated), and made our Country great and respected again, and so much more, would be focused on the ever more dangerous sidewalks and streets of New York. If these prosecutors focused on real issues, crime would be obliterated, and New York would be great and free again!

Its Good to be a Counter-Revolutionary: Every age has its own fight to conduct

I know it’s not convenient.  I understand that most people want to live their lives by the rules of their American citizenship and to be left alone.  But, every generation has its challenges, there are always enemies out there looking to act on their own accord, and when you live in the best country on the face of planet earth, there will be attacks that whoever must defend is in the care of the day.  In the future, it might be those generations.  In the past, it was others.  And now, we have a task, and we cannot ignore it.  We have among us in America, intense revolutionaries who want to undo all of us and force us to obey them.  They come from all over the place; some are very wealthy, some are dirt poor broke, but they all hate America and want to undo it.  Our first task is to admit that to ourselves.

All of us are not pro-American supporters.  Some of our neighbors and friends are these revolutionaries.  Go to your local school board meeting, and you will see lots of enemies. These people are revolutionaries who actively work through education to destroy our children’s minds and destroy America from within.  Go to a poor neighborhood hampered by Democrat policies, and you will see attacks against our legal system to bring down our American system of constitutional law.  Look at our corporations, even the Coke that we buy at McDonald’s.  You will see global interests seeking a stable communist political environment to spread their brand to every corner of the world, who want to destroy American sovereignty to unleash their growth toward those markets, working as enemies against us all.  They are all revolutionaries who wish to revolt against American sovereignty, and they are willing to commit treason to unleash it, which of course, provokes a response from us.

In the video above, I proposed embracing the counter-revolutionary role that sounds radical and even militant to many ordinary people.  But it is our task in this time and place to do so.  We are under attack and have been for a long time.  American massive growth and GDP hid it, and many of those named forces remained in a somewhat docile state.  It all came undone openly for the first time in our lives when the assassination of JFK occurred.  In a brief history of what went wrong, dueling was common in our founding fathers’ day, in the start of America as an idea.  Dueling was needed to protect the value of the name and reputation of the individuals involved.  Slowly dueling emerged into gunfighting in the age of Western Expansion.  Not so honorable, usually provoked in a drunken rage, but the intent was the same, to protect the reputation of individuals.  As the age of progressivism seeped in, and central government began taking control more and more every decade after that, up until the period of WWII, the killing of other people migrated from a very personal experience with gunfighting to the actions of the mob, where assassinations occurred blindly, and from a safe distance.  This took the courage out of combat and unsettled people’s minds in a new way.  When the KGB worked with American intelligence to get rid of a common rival, and a threat to the various city mobs all over America, JFK was a rich target, and the killing of him unleashed an attack on America through the revolutionaries that followed in the 60s right up to the present.

This is important because these actions created radicals of all kinds to act violently from the protection of a mob.  Fights between factions used to be settled face to face, with the antagonists being forced to take responsibility for their actions in the light of day.   This new kind of killer came from a blob of ideology and has eroded our country ever since, which has been entirely by design.  The enemies of America knew what they were doing.  First, it was the various city mobs that started the fall, which ironically became the leaders of the Democratic Party (Saul Alinsky, Hillary Clinton). It migrated to the KGB of Russia.  Today, China has bought up massive amounts of influence in American media, sent honeypot spies into the beds of many politicians to compromise them and steer favorable legislation toward communist causes and manipulate currency to collapse the influence of the American dollar.  Most of these things happen over such an extended period and on such a vast scale with so many people involved that everyday people don’t see it or refuse to see it because acknowledging it would mean they’d have to take responsibility for the action.  Yet there it is, and it’s on our doorstep today as a result and demands that strong people face them down in opposition.

That is where my suggestion of becoming a counter-revolutionary comes from.  It is a term you should embrace.  It’s not an act of terror to insist that we return our nation to a foundation of constitutional law instead of accepting the chaos of a change state toward communism, which is precisely what is happening.  Being a counter-revolutionary is an honorable thing when revolutionaries have indicated openly that they mean to ruin your lives at any cost and that they dare you to meet them on the battlefield for a fight.  They have issued the dare.  Unfortunately, we have been taught in our public schools that we are supposed to walk away from fights, not participate in them for the last century.  Our legal system has punished the second act in a conflict, not the first.  Prosecutors are going after those that respond to violence, not those who issue it.  So we are gun-shy and have been for way too long.  We have sat by and watched other people speak for us at school board meetings.  We have allowed good people to be punished just because they don’t fit into a woke culture intent on undoing our country.  We were, after all, too busy taking our kids to soccer practice.  We didn’t want the responsibility for action, so the revolutionaries of our culture felt entitled to attack and unleash their will upon us, expecting an easy go of destroying all of us.

As human beings in this particular age, we must defend America from its attackers in the media, from insurgents in the streets, and those compromised within our elected offices.  Failure to meet that challenge will leave history to consider us the losers who let it all slip away to the parasites of sociology.  To the revolutionaries who hated us because they weren’t us or were too stupid to join us and take our lessons and improve their lives accordingly, revolutionary intentions cannot be accepted.  But make no mistake about it, they meant to end us all, and we should not back down from being a counter to their intentions.  There is nothing radical about that.  It is patriotic and honorable to stand against revolutionaries who intend ill will and malice robbing all future generations of the opportunity to be Americans.  It’s not enough to light fireworks on the Fourth of July and celebrate what others have done to make American Great.  It’s time for us to do it all over again in a way specific to our times.

The Reason Biden Wants to Take Your Car: Its the 7th grade all over again, welcome to the controlling world of liberalism

In case it has not become obvious to you dear reader, especially after the gun control measures that the Biden administration plan to attempt were just unleashed, liberals are all about controlling your life so that you don’t extend too far away from their lazy limitations as below the line types.  They want to control you through Covid and mask mandates, they want to control you through property ownership and taxes, and they want to control you through commerce which Wired Magazine learned that in Biden’s $2 trillion infrastructure plan he actually wants to get rid of highways so that he can push you onto public transportation instead of driving your car.  Liberalism is like a continuation of public education middle school where immature concepts are the most important thing in the world to them, peer pressure is the governing force, and adolescent fears are behind everything they do, including popping zits in the mirror of the bathroom so they don’t get picked on by their peers who are stuck in the same kind of mud.  But its true, the Biden administration actually wants to spend trillions of dollars on infrastructure to take away transportation options, because they want to control where you go, how you get there and what you do when you arrive.  You can read the Wired article for yourself at the link below.

https://www.wired.com/story/biden-wants-out-car-on-train/

Cars like guns are centerpieces of American society and our desire to be free to do what we want, when we want to.  To have an economy so rich that the highways across our nation always seem to have a car going somewhere at all times day and night.  Some people are going to work, some people are going on a trip, some people are just driving around.  But liberals want a zero-emission world, they don’t want you to have that freedom and they intend to take it away from you.  And so far, they have had every indication that they’ll get away with it.  After all, they took away your president.  They have taken your money through taxes and wasted it on liberal causes.  And they have pushed us all into a woke world where the weakest define life as we know it through every below the line thought process known to the human race.  So, it should come as no surprise that liberals want to add to the national debt so that they can spend extraordinary amounts of money to take things away from you.

I remember when I first started this blog way over ten years ago now and the Streetcar down in Cincinnati was being debated and I told everyone back then that it was a loser project that would eat money and have nobody riding it.  Well, guess what, in 2021 that is the case, the cost of operation for it are in the red and staying there forever.  It will never generate enough money to justify what Cincinnati spent on it.  It is too slow, too crowded when there are people on it, and it doesn’t take you where you need to go, or want to go.  Its faster to walk honestly.  It is a useless contraption that is an idea progressives have always wanted but the rest of the world doesn’t.  Yet they are surprised every time people reject their ideas.  Similarly, they have been pushing high speed rail for years between New York and Washington D.C. and Los Angeles and Las Vegas, and San Francisco but reality says that’s a dumb idea that costs too much money to do too little.  The bullet train from London to Paris which I’ve been on is nice.  Its fast.  But it is permanently operating in the red because the money makeup doesn’t work.  There is nothing like a car that can get people where they want to go whenever they want to be there.  They don’t have to build their lives around a train schedule and the limits of a government-controlled infrastructure.  If a highway is blocked due to construction or a wreck, people can divert away using other roads to continue their journey.  But with trains, you are just stuck waiting on a slow government to get their act together which often takes way too long.

Here’s the thing that is hard for them to get.  And as much as people would like to stigmatize us all into nice little categories their tiny brains can relate to since liberals are essentially grown-up 7th graders who have never matured beyond those intellectual pubescent limits, I don’t hate liberals—just as I don’t hate kids.  Yet when you get your fill of them, you need a means to distance them from your life.  I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately.  One of my favorite places in Cincinnati is the Zoo which is filled with lots of hippie greenie weenies and PETA types.  They have solar panels and all kinds of liberal dreams on full display.  But also, I like learning about new things and I do like that those kinds of people have jobs in an economy where I can go and see animals maintained well in habitats that are similar to nature so I can study them and enjoy them without having to fly to Africa.  I want to experience the world’s animals quickly, cheaply, and get back to work in life.  I also want running water and some good food from a nice restaurant which you can get at the zoo with great views of their exhibits.  I don’t mind that they run most of the zoo with solar energy and run their vehicles with electric cars.  I enjoy those kinds of places but when I’m ready to get away from them, I want to get in my car and go home where I can listen to what I want on the radio, drive as fast as I want getting home and give myself some distance from the fat slob that is in the car next to me.  If I was on a train, that dude would be sharing air with me.  In my car I can roll up the window and turn on the air conditioner.

Liberals want you trapped in their messes, their limits, and their very limited outlook of the world.  I bring up the zoo because most of the people who choose to spend their time working at a zoo are bleeding heart types who may be well-intentioned, but they also tend to be below the line people who don’t feel that they can compete in the world and they want to drag the rest of us into their mess where they can have perpetual company.  Psychologically, they have good intentions, but their foundations of thought are rooted in deep neurosis and immaturity—a very limited view of the world and its many gifts.  They cling to nature as a security blanket, not as an opportunity for more human invention where there are even more places to go and more ways to get there, such as Hyperloop.  Liberals are always stuck in the same kind of things in the same expensive ways because they ultimately fear adapting, and they expect the rest of the world to hide those fears by forcing their participation with the same kind of mutual limits.  And that ultimately is where they go wrong, why they personally cost so much to maintain regarding budgets, and how they are so devastating to the world around them.  They want to control the rest of us because they are too timid to live in the world of choice where ultimately people may choose not to sit next to them on the train, or drive to their house, or listen to them talk.  That is why they are so obsessed with controlling you, because if they can, then they won’t have to deal with the rejection of choice in a free society.

Review of the .500 Magnum: Being on the trigger side of freedom

There really is nothing like Memorial Day.  All through the year I refer specifically to this late spring early summer period as the absolute best part of a 12 month calendar.  In Ohio the temperature is just perfect hovering right around 70 to 80 degrees during the day and dropping down into the upper 50s at night.  Everything has a fresh feel to it in May which climaxes on Memorial Day typically.  And for each Memorial Day my father-in-law has a birthday for which the family gets together to celebrate.  May is a time for blockbuster summer movies, wonderful weather and eagerness toward the events of an upcoming summer.  I always love May and I likely always will.  So for this year we did something special, we finally bought a gun that I had been thinking about for a long time, the Smith & Wesson .500 Magnum with its heavily engineered X-frame revolver introduced in 2003 capable of hunting any form of life on planet earth.  It is the most powerful production handgun in the world and is a real brute to shoot, but I wanted to best to defend my home from the stacking pile of hostiles contemplating aggression, and sometimes the best deterrent is assured destruction.  After a lot of discussion with my wife, we finally made the purchase in May 2015 and tried it out on my father-in-law’s birthday over the Memorial Day weekend.  It was the best tribute to what Memorial Day means in America.  Memorial Day is a time to honor those fallen fighting for the freedoms we all enjoy in America.  But it is also a time to remember that the fight for freedom doesn’t end with memory of losses in foreign wars.  That fight continues daily and a good way to stay sharp and focused to that responsibility is with the purchase of a new gun—well, in the case of the .500 Magnum—artillery.  The .500 Magnum is everything that I hoped it would be as you can see me firing it below.  I have shot the gun before, but this time it was my own weapon fired for the first time outside of the factory.

One of the targets seen in the video was a portion of a tree branch cut to stand on its end.  The second was a standard sedimentary rock out of the river behind the target radius.  It is dangerous to shoot at such things with any gun.  But I had a pretty good idea that the .400 grain bullet would punch through both without ricochet so I wanted to test the punch power of the .500 magnum and its 1,800 fps velocity, 2,579 ft-lbf muzzle energy which is extraordinary for a handgun.   As can be seen clearly the bullet from the .500 Magnum split the log in half and punched the rock in two.  The rock itself was about five inches thick.  The ideal distance for shooting at such targets should have been 50 to 100 yards—but for the sake of this video so that target interaction could be seen, we moved in to about 25 yards.  That was not enough as debris pelted us even from that distance—something I would not have expected.  But when dealing with such powerful forces the strange and unusual can and do occur.  Needless to say, the most powerful handgun in the world did not disappoint.  It exceeded my expectations in every way.image

But that’s not all there was to such a fine day of shooting.  The entire Memorial Day shooting event was just marvelous.  We started the day gathering up our guns and preparing to hit the road.  My wife had several coolers made for a day trip to the south as we went around the city to pick up our family.  On the way to our shooting destination we stopped at McDonald’s twice and enjoyed the fruits of capitalism to its fullest.  We also stopped by the Field & Stream superstore in Northern Kentucky to buy some more ammunition.  It was a glorious start to a magnificently beautiful day.image

But once we settled in at our destination the culmination of much anticipation erupted with the sheer power of the .500 Magnum.  It was a pleasure to shoot.  But after a box of ammunition, the bones in my hand were starting to feel the fatigue.  In some of the slow motion portions of the video it is clear how much a wave of energy was displaced through my body during each shot.  It was truly an exhilarating sensation to have such a controlled explosion occurring in the palm of your hand.  It is truly a hand cannon as it is firing a projectile what would have sunk ships during the pirating days of 15th century buccaneering.  In those times that kind of power would have been strapped to a ship in the form of a fixed device.  It would have been unfathomable to contain such power into a hand cannon designed by the Smith & Wesson team with the X-frame to put such force in the hands of an individual.  Yet that’s why I bought the gun, to possess that kind of power.image

Having the gun however is not enough.  Learning to shoot it is the next great step.  My arms and wrist are already well prepared because of my frequent bullwhip work so the learning curb is less for me than the average shooter.  It takes a considerable amount of strength to handle the .500 Magnum for more than a few novelty shots.  Most of the men present at our event after seeing the power given off by the gun wanted nothing to do with actually firing it.  It shakes the ground when it fires and gives off a shock wave that will stop a target range still with silence after you fire it. The roar of the blast suppresses even a .12 gage shotgun so it’s truly something to behold.image

My son-in-law shot it several times and did very well.  Even from where I stood a good ten feet away from him, I could feel the wave of energy displacing each time he fired the gun.  It is like setting off a stick of dynamite with each shot.  There isn’t anything else like it.  For a person weighing less than 200 lbs, anything more than a 300 gr bullet would be too much to hold feet to the ground.  We went through our 400 gr bullets and I decided to save the 500 gr bullets for self-defense and concealed carry opportunities.  Ammunition as high as 700 gr bullets are available for the .500 Magnum which I will be getting but pleasurable shooting diminishes with so much raw power.  For target shooting and setting sights anything 275 gr to 300 gr is a decent range to stay within.  After firing the 400 gr bullets several times I am certain it would have stopped a 9’ grizzly bear or an African elephant.  I’m not the hunter type, so I will likely never use the gun for that kind of thing, but it was reassuring to know that if such a circumstance presented itself—I had a personal firearm that could handle the situation.  The .500 Magnum is insanely powerful.image

Because of that wonderful Magnum all my future May months will be just a little sweeter.  I will never forget the joy of buying and shooting that gun over this 2015 Memorial Day weekend. I had thought that the .500 Magnum would punch through that rock, but I wasn’t absolutely sure until I saw and felt it in real life.  Rocks are dangerous to shoot at, and it’s not something that I’d recommend.  I won’t be doing it again now that I know that the .500 Magnum will indeed thump through such a target.  It would easily destroy concrete blocks and other similar materials, which is just astonishing.  The .500 Magnum from Smith & Wesson is my favorite gun from one of my favorite gun companies—and its raw American.  So it only made sense that we celebrate such a fine American weapon on one of America’s most revered holidays and remember that it is through such actions that we all remain free.  While those who have lost their lives fighting for freedoms are the purpose of Memorial Day, it is better not to die while fighting that same fight.  A good way to stay alive is to be on the trigger side of the .500 Magnum.  For those on the other side they won’t stand much of a chance.
