“Prometheus”: The Great Ridley Scott and his prequel to “Alien!”

There are very few things that I get really excited these days, and as the news of the world does march on, you must forgive me while I take a brief pause to relish in something truly enjoyable. In fact, I’m so excited about it, that I considered all week whether or not to purchase plane tickets to London and all the expenses that go with it, to see the new Ridley Scott film, Prometheus which opens tonight in England, then in America on June 8th.

For those who have watched that preview and thought that it reminded you a lot of the 1979 film Alien, done by the same director, you would be correct. Except, this is not a retread of an older film, which is being done in great abundance these days, but is in fact a “prequel” to that fantastic, cutting edge science fiction/horror film from the late 1970’s.

Alien and the next film by James Cameron called Aliens are two of my favorite all time films, and I share that sentiment with my wife. We have the massive 15 disk collection of all the Alien films and I personally admire the first attempt by 20th Century Fox to bring two of the greatest film aliens together in the film Alien versus Predator. While many think that AVP was a gimmicky sci-fi thriller, it was one of the first films of its kind to deal with the very controversial topic, but growing sentiment in archeology, and anthropology that human life on earth was seeded from elsewhere in the galaxy, and that the technology of the past on earth was in fact advanced far beyond what we currently accept in science. The evidence is popping up in great abundance all over the world that human history is far more complicated than we are ready to acknowledge.

I have written extensively about these theories here at the OW, and to date, out of all the articles I have written, out of my millions of words produced, one is my most popular—it gets well over a hundred hits every day—it’s called Giants of Ohio. I wrote Giants of Ohio based on a paranormal map I found at the Mothman Festival in Point Pleasant, West Virginia, and was intrigued at how many sites showed up on the map revealing discovered bones of 8 to 10 foot human-like skeletons. These bones have been stuffed into drawers at museums and private collections all over the world because nobody knows what to make of them in science circles. I feel very passionate in discovering what the roots of these bones are and how they fit into our human history. At present, only theories can be offered up, which have been finding their way into films like Alien versus Predator. The evidence is there, but science can’t offer answers otherwise they wreck their current funding mechanisms, so authors and movie makers have been doing the work of theorizing. As young people sit in the movie theater and watch these ideas for the first time, then do their own research and go to college moving into the archeology and anthropology fields to advance science with these theories fresh on their minds to prove, or disprove, our understanding of ourselves improves.

Ridley Scott, the director of Prometheus has set the bar very high for himself, particularly in the realm of science fiction. His films hold up so well, because they work on so many levels, this particular prequel to his great Alien film is particularly stunning as a concept. I was shocked that he took on the project, because he typically doesn’t do sequels, or prequels. He usually makes his movie then advances on to the next project. So for him to revisit this type of film must have some significance to him, which it apparently does.

I would want to go and see this film just to see a science fiction film by Ridley Scott, but as I studied the footage I recognized that he was offering up the events that occurred with the mysterious crashed ship in Alien that had the giant creature fossilized into the gun turret of the destroyed vessel known affectionately as “The Space Jockey.” That caught my interest because I have wondered about that back story since 1979, which was so long ago that ironically it was the same year that Jimmy Carter began the Department of Education. It came to my mind that Prometheus is an offering up a new theory for the origins of mankind as the mystery of “The Space Jockey” is explored in this epic new film.

A plot like that offers a whole range of challenges to our world’s religions, and philosophies to date. That excites me because in those conversations society advances just a bit. A film like Prometheus is not simply a pop-corn eating sci-fi, horror film, but a serious exploration into the idea that earth was not populated by just the sudden emergence of human life evolving from Neanderthals, but was helped along by these giants who used their technology to genetically manipulate the human race for reasons of their own design.

Today what is left of the human being is a distant memory of their origins on other stars and their tendency toward obedience with self-imposed slavery. This impulse is rooted in the collectivism breed into humans at this development stage that only in the last couple of centuries have been challenged by philosophy, most notably the new philosophy of Objectivism. Some of these giants died on earth and their bones were left behind to be buried, and copied by the humans who worshiped them. In myths and legends, the giants became great warriors and gods, and they make their appearance in our own Holy Bible, especially in the story of David and Goliath.

As of this writing, I have no idea if a giant species of humanoid makes an appearance in the new film Prometheus and seed the earth with the first steps of the human race. But, since I was a little kid watching Alien at a drive-in as part 2 of a night of horror starting at about 11 pm at night, I have been fascinated by the giant creature in the gun turret. Knowing what I know now I suspect that this is the case after listening to Ridley Scott talk about his new film in the interview above.

When separate individuals come up with the same basic conclusions after weighing all the evidence, there is merit to the results that are more powerful than results determined through consensus. My hunger to fly to London stems from wanting to know if the creative minds behind Prometheus have arrived at similar theories as I have based on examination of the known evidence.

The names of these species of creatures are unimportant except in the context of the story. But the acceptance that other elements played a part in the creation of mankind is extremely relevant to the understanding of ourselves, as very important decisions will have to be made in our lifetimes about our own mortality, and effectiveness in harnessing the miracles of science. Those decisions will be made by the members of the audience seeing Prometheus, and this makes the film a grand, epic event important to the sustaining culture of the human race.

Science begins with a thought, and that is the merit of science fiction. The concepts created can either be validated or eradicated, but to behold an abstract idea is the first step in understanding. So when the origin of the “space jockey” back story is revealed in Prometheus, a whole new level of mythic interpretation will fill our culture with new questions on a deep quest to be answered, and it is that which excites me to a level unprecedented by virtually any other big screen endeavor I can recently recall.

Many people wonder about my wife, and how she endures many of the antics I get involved with. Well, to convey what type of person she is, I’ll have to report that she is probably more excited about the release of Prometheus than I am, if that tells you anything after reading what I’ve said. The best things are not in diamond rings, fancy dinners, or luxury automobiles. The best things are in ideas–ideas fresh from the mind of the human soul striving forward to understand what has been covered up by millions of years of suppression, and a collective desire to hide from the real history of the human race.

Arne Duncan Promises Money in Cincinnati: Another scandal at Lakota pushed under the rug

As Lakota Local Schools attempted to put out the fire of more inappropriate contact between a substitute teacher at Lakota West and a female student, “educrats” from all over The United States gathered in downtown Cincinnati to discuss how to improve education. In Southwestern Ohio a quiet battle has been raging that many didn’t even know had started. Those on the battlefield knew very well what was at stake. Public schools have been underperforming for years leaving children empty shells of propaganda going into their adulthoods and the teachers led by their labor unions have charged too much to do it. Tax payers have began to say no to tax increases on their properties that are losing value faster than nighttime temperatures in Antarctica. Suddenly the entire public education system is being exposed as an industry of looters, a simple service oriented government bureaucracy as useless as an attendant at the license bureau.

Over the last two years there have been many groups that have pushed back against the high cost of these service jobs in education, and have properly pointed out the broken nature of the funding structure which acts like a parasite on property owners. It is disgraceful for tax payers to learn that the teachers and administrators they are employing in their districts are making on average over $60K a year, and getting terrible results among the student population. Then it has been learned that the teachers are having sex with the students in great abundance, the service of the public employees to the public has not been good—it certainly hasn’t been worth $60K per year. In the Cincinnati region the news has been national with the largest and wealthiest districts like Lakota having serious troubles with scandals that have very much damaged the credibility of public education as an institution.

So it came as no surprise that the 2012 Labor Management Conference in downtown Cincinnati focused on transforming the teacher profession with over 600 people from 40 states attending consisting of school superintendents, board presidents, and union representatives to “collectively” unite the teaching profession. Even Arne Duncan the U.S. Education Secretary under Emperor Obama came, and among all those people not a single one was a productive citizen. Every single one of them are parasites to the economy, meaning they live off tax money without directly contributing to the nations GDP. So the essence of the gathering in Cincinnati was to put out the fires that have been raging against public education and to get control of the situation before that fire spreads to the rest of the country.

Of course at this conference all these “professionals” were told that they were critical to the futures of American children by the union leaders–so the educrats were all drinking the Kool-Aid. I know this because I saw the types of key words people use to find my articles and suddenly on Wednesday and Thursday this past week the popular search word, “Rich Hoffman No Lakota” came up over 150 times, and that hasn’t happened since March when the Enquirer story came out blowing open my scandalous comments calling levy supporters “latté sipping prostitutes.” So the buzz was on to deal with the “educator haters” of Southern Ohio, which to the labor representatives present I’m at the top of their list. But that is the “unofficial news” not intended for the papers.

The news that did make the papers in the propaganda arm of the Educrats public relations was that $700 million dollars in federal education grants are coming to the area, which is designed to alleviate the short-falls happening by local funding refusals of property tax increases and cuts of state contributions to districts. This is supposed to be a good announcement, as though the federal government was going to swing in and save public education from itself, and their high employee costs. All the participants of this conference are social parasites of tax money and they forget that the money coming from the federal government is tax money too, still provided by the people of the states. It’s simply a shuffling around of money to make the labor leaders happy and willing to work with the school superintendents for a couple of years while the anger toward public schools calms down.

To help promote districts of the area that are struggling, like Cincinnati Public Schools, which is suffering from declining enrollment, yet there are plans to go for another tax increase in November of 2012, public recognition was given. CPS was lauded for its ability to “collaborate” with union leadership and school administration. Arne Duncan stated, “unions and school leaders are getting along better these days, in part because they realize that American schools need to ramp up education or risk losing economic and political standing in the world.” The trouble with Arne’s statement is that his concern is in fulfilling the requirements of his boss Emperor Obama and the commitment to Agenda 21 for the United Nations, so global standards are the context of the statement. But for the people of Cincinnati, the parents of the 33,000 students at CPS just want their children to have a job—a real job. Not a government created job like the 600 people at the Labor Management Conference. Those aren’t real jobs; they are service jobs like a waiter at a restaurant, or a bagger at the grocery store. Real jobs make the food that is served or placed in the bags. The service job simply mediates between the product and the consumer. The focus of the 600 attendees of the labor conference presided by Duncan is to create more service oriented employees as products of their schools, and figuring out a way to consume more tax money to get it.

The climax of this Conference was the announcement that 50 parents, teachers and community leaders in Cincinnati will head to Columbus on May 30th to protest Ohio’s unconstitutional school funding system. When I first heard this news, I thought addressing the unconstitutional funding structure in Ohio sounded like a good idea, until I learned who was behind the announcement. A group called Prepare the Future of Southwest Ohio is paying for the 58 seat bus transporting protestors to Columbus and a group called Strive Partnership is supplying the food. These groups are working with Progress Ohio, the progressive political organization of Ohio, and the Ohio Federation of Teachers. So the attempt is a show of force by organized labor to extort more tax money from the state because local communities are refusing to increase taxes on themselves.

The trouble with “properly” funding education positions, and the reason these public employees and their minions of parental supporters are taking these measures is because they have seen the future and if the states leave the funding to the local school districts voters are going to force down the cost of education and these progressive “educrats” know that voters will reject more and more tax increases when it comes directly out of their property value. So the parasites at the 2012 Labor Management Conference know they are doomed with school funding unless they can get the money for their extraordinary pay checks out of the state where tax payers can’t see so clearly how the money is spent. When Scott Sloan asked me on 700 WLW why I don’t join up with these types of groups to solve the school funding problem I answered that these employees aren’t interested in the same thing that I am. I want to see education become cheaper. I want to drive down the cost per pupil. These educrats simply want to maintain the wage structure they were promised when they moved into an education profession, where they could be paid on average over $60K per year, cash in their personal days, work 9 months out of the year and have all holidays off, then retire at 55 only to be rehired the day after to become a double-dipper. They wish to maintain the scam. I wish to fix it for good by driving out all the looters of education. By my definition every one of the 600 attendees of the 2012 Labor Management Conference are parasites to the rest of America, and every one of them could be removed from their jobs because they could afford to spend two days in Cincinnati talking about nothing, to achieve nothing, and intend nothing but smoke and mirrors with an attempt to reframe their social argument.

That is why I will not go to Columbus with these educrats to speak in their favor to legislators in order to obtain for them more loot allocated toward public education. The $700 million that Arne Duncan is throwing at these labor leaders and administrators is equivalent to throwing some bloody meat to a pack of wolves. It will only appease the parasites for a short time before they are hungry for more. By then, Arne and his education employees across the nation hope that society goes back to sleep and forgets about the scam they are attempting to perform in broad daylight right in front of all our faces. But it won’t work, because just like them, the opposition is recalibrating our message as well, and they won’t like the result.

So no matter how much protesting they do, or how many meetings they indulge in, people like me will continue to report every scandal, every accounting error, every fault they perform with the intention of driving out the weak leaving behind only the strong and employable. The way to end consumption by a parasite is to take away what the parasite eats, and in the big business of public education, they eat money. And according to police in West Chester, the substitute teacher’s inappropriate contact between him and the female student was not sexual or criminal, and has been turned over to the school to deal with. So we’ll see what they do about it, even though they will surely attempt to keep it under the carpet. But they won’t be able to, because the public owns the carpet, and I’ll make sure we pull it up so we can see what’s underneath. And we’ll do it while all the educrats are at meetings patting themselves on the back and planning how to save the world—using our money to do it.

Building Star Trek’s U.S.S. Enterprise: How to create 10 of them, not just 1 with Objectivism

Dan over at Build the Enterprise.org made national news last week when Yahoo News featured his 20 year plan to build an actual U.S.S. Enterprise that costs approximately $50 billion a year for the next 20 years at a total cost of $1 trillion dollars. (CHECK IT OUT!) Even though that is a huge price tag in a country with an already $15 trillion-dollar deficient, he justifies the cost by pointing out that in 2008 the United States spent nearly that much on the controversial Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP). Most people can agree who are not involved with politics that many of the bailouts the government spent money on during this depression era economy have been a complete waste, and the money was more or less tossed away with no R.O.I., so why not commit our science and military assets to the construction of an actual U.S.S Enterprise to begin an actual jump into a renewed space race?

Dan has it all figured out regarding how to engage in this massive project. His timeline has the first 9 years dedicated to research of the technology needed to build the project, with component testing followed by 11 years of manufacture and construction in space. At the conclusion of this assembly period the Enterprise will be ready for a moon flyby and be perfectly ready to begin routine 3 month flights to Mars. The benefit of Dan’s Enterprise design as opposed to the traditional NASA approach is that this Enterprise version will allow full 1g gravity for its 1000 occupants using ion propulsion electrically based from a nuclear generator to transport from the Earth to Mars and back again in 250 days. This means that the physical deterioration typically endured on the human body during long space flights will be eliminated allowing space travelers to roam about in an environment that is not much different from how they typically work and indulge in recreation today. For many of the U.S.S. Enterprise travelers their residences, work and leisure would be in a kind of giant shopping mall experience. They would eat, sleep and walk about just as they would on earth, and this would solve tremendous duration problems currently experienced by astronauts in zero g environments.

Dan’s plan is fantastic, and should be explored seriously by private investment. This would be a worthy goal for companies like Google, Facebook, and other giant corporations that have been able to generate tremendous amounts of capital. I disagree with Dan on two basic things which he has overlooked, primarily because he’s an engineer and naturally doesn’t deal with political science—that no government should be involved in this endeavor and that taxes should never be raised, which he proposes.

During this 20 year span of building the U.S.S. Enterprise the people of the entire world need an entirely new philosophy from which to think from. A philosophy is a kind of play book like any football player understands–it’s the way a sports player attacks the game as designed by the head coach. The philosophy of the team and its ability to adapt to changing circumstances will often be the exclusive factor between success and failure on the field of play. In the game of life, the same is true.

Currently mankind’s philosophy is rooted in Plato, and Immanuel Kant. This must change to one based more on Aristotle and refined by Ayn Rand. It will take a massive shift in human consciousness to accept these changes and avoid two hundred more years of stagnation, which is our current path because politicians and world governments think that Star Trek is for entertainment and the minds of geeks, as they hold onto their non rationality based philosophies given to them by Kant.

The process of this happening is already underway. The Ayn Rand Institute is publishing the extensive work of Ayn Rand which is selling well. It has taken most of a century already for Americans to finally begin to accept her work, and her philosophy of Objectivism is just the kind of national strategy that would bring about not just one U.S.S. Enterprise, but many. There is absolutely no reason the United States should settle to have just one of these ships, but ten. But to have them we would also have to reinvent the way our current government in the United States operates. We would have to reinvent education, political science; the emphasis on our wealth creation and many other factors for it to work, but ironically the blueprint was already created by Ayn Rand nearly a century ago. I don’t propose Objectivsim as a personal preference, but as a viable solution. Dan needs a nuclear reactor to provide power for his Enterprise. America and the world need Objectivism as the thought process to build Enterprise deep space vehicles and space stations. It’s simply a thought structure that is needed to execute the sum desired.

As to the design of the Enterprise opposed to other designs, it is the U.S.S. Enterprise that is so well-known to millions and is a part of the public consciousness. It is true that other designs could be created, but why? Science fiction has already done the work of concept building, and society has come to recognize it. It is no different from NASA using Jules Vern’s classic novel From the Earth to the Moon to model their approach to space craft design over 70 years before the first rocket. Using Star Trek as the model for further space development is perfectly acceptable, and highly justified. The country that creates these U.S.S. Enterprises holding over 1000 people per flight to colonize space, manufacture goods outside of earth’s atmosphere, and mines for rare metals and other resources on other moons and planets solves many of our current worldly problems in a very short time. A vehicle the size of the U.S.S. Enterprise could hold not just one manufacturing facility within it, but many. The future of zero z manufacture and science is of utmost importance, and extremely practical.

For all the sci-fi geeks out there who want to see this happen in their lifetime I suggest you read Ayn Rand’s Atlas Shrugged and The Fountainhead just as you’d read any work of fiction for Star Trek. Forget what your teachers and others tell you about Rand, because there are many functioning in our society who are just as scared of the future as there was during the dark ages of Europe. We are about to experience a tremendous breakthrough that hasn’t been seen since 1492 where adventure and discovery will change the human experience forever. But there were many who insisted that the earth was flat and that sea monsters would eat all ships that left the horizon. And ship building design didn’t change at all for another 400 years. The politicians, teachers, and leaders of science currently on a government pension want to keep the world closed off from new discovery because they are functioning from the failed philosophy of Immanuel Kant and this will hold the human race to the earth for another 400 years of imprisonment.

I spend a lot of time at this site showing readers how cancer could be cured right now, how food could never run out, how energy could be properly harnessed if not for the interference of politicians and world leaders who have broken ideas about how life should be because they are functioning from the wrong philosophy. A few weeks ago there was a similar sensation on Yahoo News about the next generation of flying car, which was cool, but didn’t come close to the great design of Paul Mollar out in California. Paul Mollar’s Skycar is a design that has been around for two decades and it works. But he can’t get our government to get behind him because of politics. There is a lot of money tied up in the current automotive industry, and nobody has the political will to upset the apple cart. So a great idea has been put on the back burner until society grows up, and into the idea of a personal car that can take off in your driveway and land wherever you want it to. This is because people in society are functioning from the wrong philosophy. Objectivism is the philosophy needed to expand our technological and mental barriers. CLICK HERE TO SEE THE REAL SKYCAR.

The same fate will befall Dan’s fantastic plan of building a U.S.S. Enterprise as has happened to Paul Mollar’s Skycar, the political will is not there because too many people function from the wrong philosophy. Before the first bit of research can be done on the U.S.S. Enterprise, America would have to change its current path of thinking away from Kant and into Rand, or to put it more technically, away from Plato, and more toward Aristotle. That is the key to being able to arrive at a space port in the middle of Iowa to leave earth and arrive at a future U.S.S. Enterprise waiting at an orbiting dock to leave for a Marriott hotel on the planet Mars within the next hundred years. The future is there, and great ideas like Dan’s are springing up and are conceivably possible. But it is our current human philosophy that is the major impediment, and that must change before any new developments can occur on the long human quest to push the limits of the imagination and arrive at a place of new understanding and high adventure!

Emperor Obama Mason Office Opens: Overmanwarrior’s Wisdom COVERS THE TERROR!

Overmanwarrior’s Wisdom had a reporter on hand at the opening of the Obama headquarters in Mason, Ohio. The patrons to this event can be seen in the pictures below. As expected, the bleeding heart former hippies, the welfare recipients, the progressive socialists, the meek, the socially awkward, the school teachers, and the union types showed up to pledge their allegiance to Emperor Obama as his most recent artistic portrait drew a resemblance to Chairman Mao in Tiananmen Square, only with more primary colors.

The event was intended as a meet and greet, to partake in some casual refreshments as talk of petition drives and giving rise to another term for his majesty permeated the otherwise stuffy room. The great hope of these patrons is that socialism will continue to thrive under four more years of dictatorship, congressional subversion, impeachable offenses, unconstitutional executive orders, Supreme Court arm twisting, more White House orgies with big labor, more wrecked economic conditions, further advances of a mixed economy, more bowing to the leaders of the world, more advocating global riots, more bail outs of companies over committed to employee pensions, more jobs created with government positions, more socialist education in public schools, bail outs of college loans so to continue communist teachings in universities, more commitments to the greenie weenies, the rich globalists, the U.N. dominators, the freedom infringers, the radical domestic terrorists of the Weather Underground, the socialist preachers, the gay advocates, the down-trodden feminists, the sidewalk derelict, the PETA nudist, the KGB spy network, the Kenyan hut dweller, the Muslim Brotherhood and many, many others clamoring together to undo all that is good in this world with a commitment to destroy capitalism with the tyranny of socialism.

Behind the pleasant talk of the evening were the sinister plans of the modern progressive. “Yes, we’ll make the suburbanites of West Chester and Mason, Ohio look the supporters of Obama in the face. They moved out of the inner cities into the suburbs to flee from the social reforms of government and the high taxes that come with them, but we’ll send Obama supporters door to door in the world of suburbia and make them lock up their doors and hide—and on election day they’ll stay home, because they’ll know we know who they are.” This is the intention of those who opened this office in Mason; this is the strategy, just a few miles down the road from Speaker Boehner’s office. The move is literal, purposeful; its Chicago style mob politics. The Obama administration knows he doesn’t have the votes in Southern Ohio, particularly Butler and Warren County, so the next step is to weaken the will of those voters to stay home with a demoralizing presence, and an audacious move to bring communism to the streets of Mason by another method besides the public school system.

It is disheartening to see a handful of people seduced by Emperor Obama and his legions of minions preaching doom for those who loved capitalism. To have only two would be a catastrophe for America, but as can be seen in these pictures, there was a roomful willing to walk door to door in favor of Emperor Obama.

The evening wrapped with promises of commitment over the summer into the fall to help their socialist leader regain four more years of office. Their reasons for supporting Obama mirror those of a recent interview given on the streets of New York. It is that world these Obama office party goers wish to strengthen, not weaken, and the fight in this election is truly a fight for the soul of America. The threats to American existence are not coming however from those New York bums, but from the men and women snacking in Obama’s new office in Mason, Ohio. Those are the Benedict Arnolds of our day, and the quiet advocates of social tyranny attempting to squash forever the message of freedom that built our nation. It is in those eyes, of those people that the threats to America come from most, because it is the naive socialist, who doesn’t even know what or why they do things that is not only a danger to themselves, but to all around them.

The battle lines are drawn, and complacency will not be acceptable this time. Sorry progressives if this vitriolic rhetoric is too much for you, if the implication of consequences are terrifying. We relied on the law to protect us from tyranny, and we’ve watched for four years now that mob violence, intimidation, and constitutional manipulation is the strategy of these power-hungry government expanders. The thuggish behavior has been done with smiles on their faces masking their sinister intentions. But it’s not going over well, and the victims of this tyranny have an obligation to strike back once struck, pleading for peace while intending to stick a knife in our backs is not an acceptable policy of politicking.

What happens next will define our country and all our lives for the next century. And with those stakes tension is inevitable. I certainly hope the snacks were tasty. Our Overmanwarrior’s Wisdom reporter thought so. Enjoy it while it lasts, and you’re not the only ones who have infiltrators on the opposite side. Watch out who’s next to you in your union, school board, and Obama’s progressive meetings. They may very well be there on behalf of Overmanwarrior’s Wisdom feeding me all the dirty tricks you wish to sweep under the carpet.

Sex in the Halls of the Mason School System: The arrogant public employees

Lumbering down the Mason school system hallways in pursuit of the retched sounding animal noises permeating along the corridor originating from a closed office door Assistant Principal Keeton turned the knob as the ghosts of Stacy Schuler’s sex antics haunted her mind. The worst horror imaginable presented itself to Keeton’s eyes as yet another sex scandal has exploded upon the scene of that promiscuously infatuated school district. Mason High School business teacher Jason Austerman and high school campus supervisor Kimberly Rowland were in states of undress and performing a vigorous rendition of the horizontal mamba in contorted manifestations. Darryl Parks of 700 WLW was one of the first to break this story on his Saturday show. Listen to the video below to hear how it sounded.

So why did they do it? Why didn’t Jason and Kimberly get a room down at the Fields Ertel exit during lunch where they could be alone? Or maybe take a drive in their car and park someplace private and do their business? The only conclusion one can make is arrogance, pure and simple.

Arrogance is what makes these teachers believe they can embark on these sexual adventures during school hours under the protection of the teachers union. Mason during the Stacy Schuler trial was able to contain the portion of the story involving assistant principal George Coates sending pictures of himself to Stacy during school hours. Mason managed to get rid of George quickly and discreetly while the media focused on the sex between Stacy and the five high school students in her home. But there was sex going on at Mason during work hours between Stacy and others. This is just the latest escapade between Jason and Kimberly. Public employees trained in a progressive political system do not have the kind of values that mainstream Americans have, and they have a noticeable arrogance knowing that the union protects them from anything but a catastrophic public relations meltdown.

Because Assistant Principal Keeton opened the door and became a third-party to the act, the labor union and Mason public relations by Tracy Carson could not clean up the public perception at that point. The two school employees resigned quickly, so that they could get jobs elsewhere once the heat was off. That is the mode of operation for all public schools.

At Lakota, the district to the immediate west of Mason, there is a recent case where a teacher used a special needs child to gain access to the mother in order to start a sexual relationship, using the child as leverage. All this was done on this teacher’s school computer and the father/husband of the child and mother had obtained the very salacious emails—stacks of them, done during school hours from school property for acts of sex that was covered up by the school principal and the human resources manager at the time. The teacher was moved to another school to satisfy the parents, the human resources manager took a job in Michigan and just this past week the Principle took a new job locally but far enough away from Lakota to hopefully leave his ghosts with little motivation to follow. There are many such stories and this is why schools have to pay extraordinary amounts of money on public relations to contain these types of scandals.

At Lakota the need for clean public relations went so far that the former public relations director of 2011 was pushed by the school board to clean up a series of dangerous stories, one the pedophile case at Lakota where a teacher was undressing students in his third grade class and taking pictures of them and storing multiple images of child pornography on his school computer. Then of course was this case involving the special needs child and a very angry father. (VERY ANGRY.) The case went to the State of Ohio School Board. But the papers didn’t report that—did they? Because good public relations helped contain the story quickly, but not without damage. The PR Director at Lakota decided she didn’t want to perform the job as dictated by the school board focused intently on keeping all news about Lakota good, because the focus was on passing a school levy in the fall of 2011. The school board paid the PR Director $90,000 to go away and buy-out her contract and they now pay a private firm $60 an hour to do the job. CLICK HERE TO SEE SOME OF THE ACTUAL BILLING STATEMENTS. Yes, it’s very expensive, and its whole purpose is to clean up messes like what Mason is going through right now.

Mason has been forced to avoid a tax increase attempt while the smoke clears from their year of scandals that could not be cleaned up by Tracy before the story got into the mainstream media. They managed to move their superintendent–who had knowledge of many sex scandals going on in Mason climaxing with the Stacy Schuler trial–to upper Ohio to avoid more scandalous damage. So as Stacy Schuler nobly stood in front of her accusers and took responsibility for her actions and went to jail for 48 months, there were many, many rats that had jumped off the ship in Mason to avoid massive investigations that would ruin everyone’s careers. Just like what has happened in Lakota, and is happening at this very moment in every public school in America. It’s a game to these public employees that is focused more on avoiding detection than in behaving correctly.

So why did Jason Austerman and Kimberly Rowland of the Mason school district do it, especially knowing the risk to Mason if they got caught? Because they are arrogant, they lack respect for themselves, their jobs, the community that employs them, and the money that funds the whole operation. They live in a government employment bubble of altered reality that does not understand responsibility for their actions because they lack competition in their business. Public school teachers and administrators can act badly and get away with it because they don’t fear losing their jobs unless their schools public relations department fails to protect them, and in those cases the next choice is to simply move to a different district. So there isn’t any fear of losing a job to keep their morality in check.

This latest case of malicious sex during school between school employees will not be the last. In fact, I’d go so far to say that it’s rampant. There is without question evidence that these things go on in every workplace, but in government positions they happen more often because in those jobs even the least bold among us lack fear of punishment for their actions. In most jobs coworkers might only think about doing the dirty deeds but will avoid the task out of fear of being caught. In government positions, especially well-paid teachers and administrators who do not work pay check to pay check with dimes to spare like most people, they have a luxurious life, short work hours, healthy compensation and a progressive work environment that is a direct result of the utopian hippie age where sex is free, personal possession is forbidden, and trust in a God for guiding principles is virtually nonexistent.

This won’t be the last time sex scandals break out in a school system. It is the job of the public relations personnel in these schools to cover for the Jason’s and the Kimberly’s of public education and all those who knew about the sex, but failed to act while trying to convince the public that they should continue to send their children to these education institutions, and that they should build their homes around such testaments of prosperity as public education. But upon a closer look, these institutions of learning are simply pornographic propaganda nightmares that do very little for the public of what they promise. The children come out of them half-baked, the parents pawn off much of the parenting to the third-party of public education because they fear the personal responsibility of actually being a parent. Meanwhile in a corner office darkened for effect there are animal noises coming from two impassioned school employees as they indulge in each other while students walk by the door outside and snicker. Most of the school employees know about it and avoid turning the door knob because of the scrutiny that in so doing might bring to their personal livelihoods. Reporting the activity might affect the next levy attempt, so they turn their attention the other way, and plot their own sexual moves to attempt to bed either Kimberly or Jason once one of them is free. And we wonder why our kids come out of public education so screwed up and demoralized. Just look to the animal sounds coming from the corner office with the door shut, but audaciously unlocked—almost daring someone to open it—and you’ll know why.

NASA Fights Back: The Obama film “2016” coming soon

Dear reader, if you are still in denial that Barack Obama is a planted—created personality fashioned by the enemies of America you can stop your skepticism at this time. The new film by Dinesh D’Souza produced by the great Gerald Molen called 2016 will bring to light just how serious and to what extent Obama was placed into our culture to dismantle it. But you don’t have to wait to see D’Souza’s new film. The evidence is all around us. But first, check out a preview and short talk by that director at CPAC.

It is well-known that climate science is the altruistic fantasy of the progressive movement which is why Al Gore was the primary advocate and President Obama is now carrying the torch. To believe in climate science to the effect that the human race is so audacious as to actually overcome the effects of the sun and induce planetary warming with the pathetically small levels of greenhouse gas that our society emits, is preposterous. Yet progressive advocates who desire global socialism seek to use climate science to destroy all of society in an Aztec like sacrificial worship of the divine God called Mother Nature. But those mind-bending, catatonic, progressives are in error and in case you missed the memo, 49 former NASA scientist and astronauts sent a letter to the current NASA Administrator Charles Bolden admonishing the agency for its recent role in advocating that man-made C02 is a major cause of climate change. This letter went to the same Charles Bolden who was a figure of great controversy a few years ago. In 2010 Charles gave an interview where he revealed that President Obama told Bolden that his primary objective for NASA was not to send more astronauts to the moon, or even to bring about the next generation of the Space Shuttle. It was to reach out to the Muslim world and make them feel good about themselves.

Bolden in that clip obviously eats out of the hand of President Obama and is either so concerned that NASA will receive more budget cuts from Obama’s administration, or Bolden has been put in place to advance the global socialism Obama intends. It is clear that President Obama is not interested in NASA’s former greatness in being the kind of organization that invented Velcro and put men on the moon, but desires the rest of the world to become more proficient in their space programs with the United States out-of-the-way.

Many think that President Obama is a Muslim, although he has said that he’s not. It seems odd however that Obama would put so much emphasis on Muslims. He is not concerned with Buddhists, Hindus, Mormons, Scientologists, or even Christians—but Muslims. The employees who built the reputation of NASA have had to watch President Obama dismantle all their hard work with trivial nonsense and a pattern of behavior that anyone can see clearly.

Obama has purposely put a stop to NASA and done what the Soviet Union during the Cold War only fantasized about—ended the National Aeronautical Space Administration dominance in travel outside the globe in a progressive quest to honor Mother Nature. You see global warming freaks who wish to worship their incestuous Mother Nature desire to make their mother happy by ensuring nobody can ever leave Mother’s home. To make their mother happy, they are willing to cut out the legs of anyone who might escape Mother’s home. In this case it is NASA who promises to take mankind off planet earth, but progressives don’t want to see that happen, because they require captives chained to earth to believe their rhetoric and give them power.

If manufacturing and other industry were to move into space then who would listen to the preachings of the global warming freaks? To what God would the globalists sacrifice to? The progressive globalists would see that the control of their Mother Nature would be diminished as humans colonized the moon, and Mars, and built huge space stations to live in orbiting the planet. Mother Nature would have to look up at mankind as they leave her loving arms and she might be very sad.

The global warming freaks are like those suck-ass siblings who never leave the side of their mothers, and hope to bend the entire family around their illness in sacrificial service to their corrupt mothers. In this case it is Barack Obama who speaks on behalf of the global greenie weenies. His dedication to the Muslim religion is a convenient excuse to deter the efforts of NASA into productive executions of their energy. And then forcing NASA to buy into the global warming conspiracy by threatening to cut even more funding to the agency from the Obama Administration serves both objectives. Global warming advocates get respected NASA scientists to endorse their sorcery, while Obama pretends he’s making reasonable budget cuts. But in essence the action on behalf of the government is the threat of a thug bullying someone to force them to act against their reasonable thinking.

But not all NASA personnel is willing to play along, and that is the nature of their letter to Charles Bolden. It is commendable that those men and women named in the letter refuting the science of Global Warming as used by the progressive machine of Barack Obama and Charles Bolden were willing to stick up for themselves when it has been obvious that they have been coerced and bullied into action that was not in their best interest.

As we brace ourselves for D’Souza’s new film 2016 the evidence of Obama’s treachery is not in some far away conspiracy theory—it is happening right in front of us all. It is noticeable in many small ways. But it’s easy to see it in the big things too. Barack Obama is a climate science voodoo subscriber that desires to make Mother Nature proud of her children by not straying too far from home and cleaving to her breasts for milk and sustenance. The greenie weenies wish to make mother proud and chastise all those who wish to grow away from her grace.

In reality those global altruists are as sophisticated as the ancient Aztecs and their obsession with human sacrifice in a belief that the still beating human hearts ripped from a slain victim will bring water and food to their people. The modern equivalent is Barack Obama, Al Gore and other progressives who deem themselves the priests of a global mass sacrifice. They would see NASA destroyed and every American driving a Smart Car designed for children—because that’s how they see us all—as their children. That is, until a group of NASA scientists decided to stand up for themselves and the agency they helped to build—and told Bolden and his boss Obama—to go to hell.

THE LEA ELECTION: Lakota’s labor union is electing a new president

Come one—come all, the Lakota Education Association (LEA) is having their election for President, Vice President and Secretary. They are meeting late in the evening after all their work is complete for the day at the extreme hour of 4:30 PM on Tuesday April 17th 2012. The vote for these positions gains the new president the ability to extort money from the public for future union contracts and allows them to speak to the media about how much the local children need union labor.

However being the president of a labor union is a tough job. Candidates must be willing to eliminate any competition to public education so that the stranglehold of union monopoly can be maintained otherwise the public will figure out they can get the same teaching results for half the cost of a government school employee. Candidates must also be willing to exaggerate every aspect of their members’ professions by calling even breathing itself a hardship. They must be willing to increase the cost of the future 2014 contract in spite of the fact that there will be declining enrollment at Lakota over the next 10 years. There’s a very good chance that Lakota enrollment could go from 18,000 students to 10,000 students in the next 6 years which will mean massive layoffs of LEA employees. The future President of the LEA must keep a lid on that fact so the public doesn’t figure it out.

The future LEA President must make sure that every service offered to the community is held hostage while the members enjoy top salaries of over 63K per year and summers off. The president must be ready also to argue that any layoffs needed will be from the new teachers just hired while the old expensive ones cruise to early retirements while school buses sit idle, sports fees remain at $550 per sport, and electives are cut down to those of a third world country. The President of the LEA must not develop a guilty conscious, but must be willing to see the whole community surrounding the school system fail without yielding even a 5% reduction in wages and benefits. After all, the LEA President is not there to protect the students or their families, but the employees of the LEA.

The President of the LEA must be ready and willing to walk off the job with a strike like presidents of the past did such as in 2008. The squeaky wheel gets the grease and this is how public unions have managed to gain an average of 30% higher wages for their members over the private sector by showing a willingness to extort every dime available from the taxpayers for the benefit of their employees.

The future President of the LEA must forget that their position has no real power or influence, only in their ability to steal from the taxpayers, since all the members of the LEA are completely at the mercy of tax revenue. The LEA President is required to make the public believe that by giving the union money that the community will benefit in some way. The ideal LEA Presidential candidates should have past experience in carnival games, or working at casinos as dealers—positions that require manipulation of the public into spending their money and getting nothing back in return. This would give the future LEA President a great advantage in handling public affairs while serving the selfish needs of the union members.

It is very important that the LEA Presidents, and Vice Presidents be very well versed in The Delphi Technique and understand Saul Alinsky’s handbook Rules for Radicals. Knowledge in building a consensus is paramount to being president of a parasitic labor union, because the public must believe that the employees actually care about the public and listen to their suggestions. Through The Delphi Technique the LEA President will listen to advice from the community, but will make the community forget what those ideas are by the end of the engagement. The LEA President must be skilled in imposing their will on the community and making the community believe they played a part in arriving at those decisions. Slight-of-hand is very important and having a basic understanding of magic tricks would be very helpful.

It is important that the LEA President understand that the future of many industries is at stake if they fail to extort vast sums of money from the public. If the public stops giving tax money to the LEA union think what might happen to all the hair and nail salons in the area? If the LEA members do not continue to make more and more money, who will be able to afford going to those businesses? The same consideration must be given to the travel and tourism industry? If not for teachers being off all summer and having large disposable incomes, how many cruise ships will go out of business? How many airlines will have to close their hubs because teachers stopped traveling from the months of June through August? The future LEA President has a responsibility to not just the members of their union, but also all the businesses that depend on the services provided to the LEA members extraordinarily high compensation.

But more than anything, the LEA President must keep the union together, because it is union dues that keep the union strong. It’s the brothers and sisters in the OEA who need all the support they can get. The OEA must continue to fund the campaign of Democratic politicians so that the OEA and NEA can continue to shape the government legislature into a tyrannical entity that is destined to destroy the traditional values of America and embrace the progressive era of the United Nations.

In short the future LEA President must be the most audacious type of low-life, guiltless, parasitic, a destroyer of thinking, a con artist, they must be the epitome of the modern mystic of muscle—a thug willing to strong arm anyone who stands in their way for the good of the many—their brothers and sisters of the LEA. After all, the goal of the LEA President is to make themselves forget, as well as all their members that the intention of the labor union movement is to corrupt America with communism. The labor movement’s primary aim has been to separate individual rights from their property rights, because without the latter, the former is not possible. The goal of the communists behind the labor movement was to replace individual rights with “human rights.” The modern intellectuals of government education understand to reject the premise of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, and replace those with social justice, and equality for all so that the worst and least motivated of society can make slaves of their betters, the men and women of production. By executing this strategy it is the job of the future President of the LEA to stop war and spread peace by taking away all ambition from the world and making everyone the same by handling these tasks within the district of the Lakota School District as thousands upon thousands do the same across all of America to the drum beat of the Department of Education.

April 17th is coming quick, and this election is one of the most important for the LEA union to date. The future of progressive politics is at stake and control must be regained over a rebellious group of tax payers that has emerged in the Lakota School District to resist the might of the LEA and the power to rob, loot and pillage the wealth of West Chester and Liberty Twp. These rebels must be suppressed by the new LEA President and strength must be returned to the labor union movement before it’s too late.

Members of the Lakota School Board–be sure to post this notification on your Facebook accounts so that you can rally your “groupies” to the cause of supporting this next LEA president as the board has in the past. It’s important to present a united front to the community, especially when you want tax increases from them to take care of your friends in the LEA. These union employees are your power base and the keys to maintaining your seats in a district that is predominately conservative. The future is in all of your hands to maintain the status quo and the culture of “educrates” everywhere. So don’t let them down. Be sure to vote on April 17th in the Lakota West Freshman Media Center at 4:30 PM.

Rumors of War: YES, THEY WANT TO KILL US

Oh I heard what you said casual reader browsing through my posts as they come up on your phone while you drive your child to their next “social” function. You look at every post I make, every word I write because you want to see what I’m going to say next about Lakota Schools and damn the future I am robbing from your child. But in so doing you have seen what I’ve reported about Barack Obama, the Weather Underground, and George Soros. You’ve heard about Atlas Shrugged and read about my theories of birds, flying cars and quantum mechanics and you told the passenger sitting next to you that I must be crazy.

But I’m not—and deep inside you know it. But learning the things I’ve been saying is inconvenient, even painful, so you try not to listen. You try to turn away and plan your next trip to Costco, so you can imagine that everything in the world is good—and safe. But it’s not.

People want to kill us all over the world because we are free, and many of those enemies have infiltrated our government and are on the payroll that you fund with your tax dollars. Many of them are communist infiltrators left over from the KGB in the former Soviet Union and the others are radical religious fanatics. In some cases they are both. And they are working to end your life and the lives of your children with every breath they take.

Oh, but you didn’t see the other Rumors of War movies, so you didn’t know this was going on? I’m sorry, I thought you were up to date—even hip with current events. Well, let me help you with that little problem. Here is Rumors of War Part 2 in several parts. I’d suggest that you take the time to watch it.

Yes, this is going on all around you—right now. So while you throw darts at my picture because you’re afraid I’m stealing a future away from your children, the real menace is everywhere you go. They are in your music, your television shows, your clothing, your jewelry and they have their fingers in your politicians. And they want to end your way of life. And while you pretend they don’t exist, you help them with their task.

Today is Good Friday. Didn’t you take the time to notice how many companies are no longer participating in celebrating the death of and resurrection of Christ? The answer is fewer and fewer, and this year there are several major companies that no longer let their employees off for Good Friday, but they do get off for Martin Luther King’s day. The process is already underway, and your tax money helps make it happen.

So keep saying that this is all a conspiracy and keep your eyes shut. And so long as you do—you are helping the enemy—and yes, they are our enemy. And soon you’ll have far worse problems than whether your kid can go to music class.

Oh–you want more proof? You think I’m kidding you? You think all this is a conspiracy, because the knowledge is not convenient? The Hobbit Blog Part 5: The trouble with logistics

I’ve spent enough time recently on the small ideas by the small minds of school levy advocates and socialist leaning politics. As I’ve described in previous articles about the topic of the making of The Hobbit by Peter Jackson, (seen by clicking here,) I enjoy paying special attention to large-scale projects that are successful. Films like those created by Jackson are modern examples of the best in their profession and worth examination. And for me the movie translation of J.R.R. Tolkien’s classic work is a wonderful place to study the quality of a forward thinker.

You can track my previous comments back through the links in sequential order. This particular episode deals specifically with location shooting in New Zealand. I’ve had the opportunity on a few occasions to work with similar productions, but nothing on a scale such as what’s shown in this clip. Check it out:

When you’ve seen this kind of production up close from behind the camera it’s amazing that anything ever comes out looking right. It’s always a challenge to get the small army of trailers and restrooms transported to a location shoot which is enormously expensive, since everything has to be brought in, as shown in that clip. To gain the ability to set up a village essentially that can cater the needs of the hundreds if not thousands of employees moving around the set is a tremendous undertaking.

I have always been fascinated with the film making process because of its demand that a production be lean and mean. People who work on such film crews do not have the luxury of becoming entrenched in their jobs because they are always in a state of constant adaptation. This also lends to an efficiency that is difficult to recreate in the private sector where workers fall in love with their offices, or their cubicles and can devolve in to a daily routine that gradually numbs their minds. In the film business, the people tend to be more intellectual because they are constantly required to adapt to their circumstances. However, this is also why they tend to be more liberal, because they lack grounding in their lives. They instead are like nomads always moving from one place to the next, and such a life is hard on relationships.

I will never forget my experience with a producer who was tasked to put together the clip I was working on with Real D 3D to develop a new 3D camera system. The production was a pitch trailer intended to show off the new technology. So I was called out to Hollywood to allow my fire whips to show off the cool new 3D technology. In the movie business, if you have a unique talent, there’s almost always a part to play for a business that is always looking for new ideas. The producer for this endeavor picked me up at LAX airport holding a sign at the baggage claim and proceeded to personally drive me through LA to the east end of town to the hotel the production put me in on Brand Blvd, which is extremely well-known for being a popular television shooting street.

Our film shoot was at night so I had the day to kill plenty of time and explore the area in and around Burbank. What is most distinguished in this particular area as opposed to any city in the United States is the amount of city corner lots that are completely dedicated to setting up an on location film set, mostly for television productions. Those lots encompass entire city blocks to make room for the army of trailers that move in and out of that spot within a couple of days. Most of these scenes are for television shows that need exterior shots. This is why most television shows choose Los Angeles to film anything, because the infrastructure is there to support that business.

The producer of my project sent a car to pick me up at 5 PM for a 6 PM set arrival established in a department store parking lot in Burbank. When I arrived, I was able to see one of these small cities set up and functioning up close. I was shown to my trailer amidst the chaos of the producer and several assistants talking on walkie talkies at a frantic pace. I was impressed even with a relatively small production like the one I was on, at the efficiency of everyone involved. The makeup woman working on me spoke with the makeup person working on another actor in the next trailer through adjoining doors effortlessly as though they were simply cutting hair in a saloon and not working on a movie, and outside the open door as the sun was setting the lighting people were setting up their sophisticated system and the camera crew was laying tracks for their dolly runs. Once my makeup was complete I had to go through walk-thrus with the stunt coordinator and begin to block shots with the director.

Upon seeing the whips in action the director decided he wanted me to perform a trick I had never done before—he wanted me to hit a cigarette on the ground with a backward crack. And he wanted me to use my 12 foot bullwhip so the camera shooting at 24 frames per second could see the whip uncoiling and making the strike. We discovered that my usual whips of 6’ moved too fast for the camera system, so we had to use my bigger ones so the camera could see them.

I practiced the trick for about two hours in front of the stunt coordinator so we could get repeatability as I met about a 100 actors, agents, and production house people who came over to watch. It took about 4 hours to get everyone in makeup to begin filming the first scene at approximately 10 PM. We shot for exactly 8 hours then broke at 6 AM as the sky was starting to turn blue from the first sign of a sunrise.

A car took me back to my hotel for some sleep in the middle of the day. At 4 PM the car came for me again to pick me up for call on the set where we went through the whole process again the next night. My requirements were only for two nights of shooting, which the production team put me up in a hotel for four nights and covered all my expenses including travel to and from California. On that particular production there were probably 350 employees behind the scenes and about 6 primary actors and 40 extras. Every person on that set was set-up and arranged by the producer. If some members of the production were from out-of-town like I was, the producer had to do for each of them what he did for me, which was quite a task that impressed me greatly.

So I have great respect for what Peter Jackson is trying to pull off in his production and the work shows. His production is probably 5 times larger than the project I worked on described above, so my heart goes out to him. It’s a fascinating business that contains many lessons that can easily be translated over into the private sector. These productions force the mind to be innovative, and to be at its absolute best.

Most people only get to experience the movie business from what is seen on the movie screen or on Entertainment Tonight, or through the press. Because I have a unique talent that occasionally is in need for the film business, I have had the opportunity to peak behind the scenes and breathe the world that makes a film possible. And a movie is a product just like anything else, just like a car, or a company who makes basketballs. But unlike a company that is grounded in one place, a movie production dismantles itself and is reborn again and again where most companies find themselves bogged down with employees who get bored and complacent. And there are lessons to be learned from these nomads of the film business that could help us all in our daily lives—not to let boredom and complacency lead to ruin and unproductive behavior. That most of the time, the value of the final product is more important than the security of the employees who work on the task.

If only people could get their minds around that concept, they would find their lives would be greatly enriched.

Peter Jackson Takes a Stand: Saving Jobs in New Zealand from labor union looting

Sometimes the best way to see something clearly is to back up so you can put it in focus. It also helps to not view the world exclusively through one particular specialization of which one makes a living. Living life should be a constant adventure of always learning and expanding ones viewpoint, and not relegating a perception to just those within the field of one’s occupation. This is the role of philosophy and story tellers, people I enjoy spending time around more than any other, because they often see the bigger picture of things, excel in this skill and do society great justice when they share the fruits of their labor.

This is also why I have been spending some time talking about the new film The Hobbit by Peter Jackson, because stories like this are much bigger than the small issues that surround us on a daily basis, so in placing our energy onto such projects metaphors of our own reality can be analyzed. So let me share with you dear reader a clip from the video blog of The Hobbit hosted by Peter Jackson before we plunge into a bit of darkness in our discussion today. When watching this clip it reminded me of two things—first I am happy to see that Jackson is filming The Hobbit, for the first time in 48 frames a second and in 3D. I had the privilege of working with Real D 3D a few years ago on the development of a new camera system they were testing for the 3D market which is very similar to the version seen in this clip, so it excites me greatly to see this kind of technology being utilized to the furthest extent of artistic interpretation. Second—for the reasons that have held up The Hobbit as a production and almost prevented it from being filmed in New Zealand are the same that I will probably never get the chance to do work in Hollywood again, because of my stances against unions in my written work.

The dark story of making The Hobbit is one that has held the project up for years and is yet another story about how labor unions are corrosive organizations. And its statements like that which have blacklisted me from any future work within the Hollywood community. I made this choice consciously knowing that I will instead shift my attention in these middle years of my life to writing novels instead. So I am happy to let my whip work and other entertainment talents drift into the nature of that independent task of authorship. Because there is no going back now, I’ve said too much.

But what I said needed to be said. It’s the things that Peter Jackson doesn’t want, or need to say. It’s the things that the distributors at Warner Brothers can’t talk about even if their opinions are harsh on the matter privately. This is because a subtle harness is placed upon the entertainment industry and that harness is the exact same gag that exists on public education, and is preventing the open learning and creativity of millions of children from realizing their full potential. It is that of the labor unions.

During Lord of the Rings, the production could be said to be very successful because Peter Jackson as a director is extremely personable, grounded, and fantastic at multitasking. He kept his set fun which allowed for a bonding to occur between his technical staff and his actors which showed up on-screen in a tremendous way. It is unlikely that Lord of the Rings would have been such a great production if Jackson had not been the director, or if the entire film had not been shot in New Zealand.

My wife and I made serious plans to move to New Zealand in the early years of our marriage and live on a sailboat. So I understand the appeal of a country that as of now prides itself on rugged individuality. When one thinks of New Zealand government of any kind does not come to mind, just big open fields, mountains, horses and–sheep. But the one great thing that I’ll say about New Zealand that the film industry can’t say is that one of the reasons Lord of the Rings went together so impressively, and all members of the crew got along unusually well, and communication worked at all levels was the absence of a labor union in New Zealand involving the actors and technical unions. Before Lord of the Rings came out there were only a few major films to come out of New Zealand, The Man from Snowy River films, and the George Lucas spectacle Willow. So the labor unions didn’t protest too intensely when New Line Cinema aligned with Wingnut films to produce a massive three film adaptation to the Tolkien classic, the unions didn’t pay much attention. Jackson wisely shot the films back-to-back while Fellowship of the Ring was still in post production and had not yet hit theaters. The Lord of the Rings films were able to be made outside of the chaos of the usual Hollywood production without a lot of union influence in an almost campfire style production where everyone bonded on the set.

However, success breeds the looters, and after multiple Academy Awards the Media, Entertainment and Arts Alliance union from Australia decided it wanted to move over into the New Zealand market because they feared that such high-profile big budget films in the future would go to New Zealand instead of Australia where the Star Wars films were shot over similar concerns. These big productions could not be done in the United States, because there is too much hassle these days over labor disputes, so film companies run from unions out of necessity, and in this case New Zealand is the last far-flung corner of the globe without one of these labor unions controlling the industry, so The Hobbit will be the last of its kind. The unions took action against The Hobbit production joining with the Screen Actors Guild and four other international unions to boycott the production.

Thankfully the whole situation settled as thousands of New Zealanders protested to keep The Hobbit production in New Zealand, so the unions backed off socially, and Jackson was able to go and make the film the way he likes to make them. For me personally it is very nice to see Peter walking around on his sets casually without all the egotistical authority that so many of his predecessors displayed. It’s Jackson’s directorial style to be very open, fair and forthcoming in his dealings with his cast and crew. Jackson is certainly a director who would suffer from too much outside control on his projects which is what the Media, Entertainment and Arts Alliance union was trying to do. They saw Jackson’s success and they wanted to loot off his back, off his creations, and his relationships so they could get a piece of the pie for themselves.

This is what teachers unions have done to our schools. It’s no different in any respect. A school cannot pick up and move like Jackson threatened to settle a union dispute. A community has a school and it’s fixed in place. So if a union infests it with their looting tendency, the community is forced to deal with the extortion measures they employ.

The Disney Company deals with the unions by tossing more money at the problem which is why the Pirate films are so expensive. Disney has the advantage of generating a tremendous amount of money through their subsidiary companies, so they can play that game. They are too big to fly under the radar like Jackson does today, or Spielberg and Lucas used to. Notice that as Spielberg became bigger and more successful over the years, that his films seemed to become more and more bogged down. He still makes pretty good films, but nothing like his final year as a master filmmaker in 1993 with the release of Jurassic Park and Schindler’s List. I know people get angry with Spielberg and Tim Burton (who I think is a fantastic director) for sucking up to the Obama administration now, and the Clinton administration’s back in the 90’s, but at the heart of that evil is a desire for creative people to make their movies as a wall of opposition known as the entertainment unions stand in the way. The union influence shows up in the final product and it does rob the production of some magic. The audience can tell the difference and it does affect Hollywood’s bottom line. They respond by making more comedies, and easy productions that aren’t overly complicated and can be shot around Los Angeles or Las Vegas–easy set ups. The creative minds behind the movies attempt to keep the protesting communists who run the labor unions at bay with appeasement. Disney throws money at unions to advance a project which works, but prevents smaller film makers from being able to compete on equal footing, because the unions hold all producers to the same standard as a company like Disney. Unless the filmmaker makes the film out of the country like Jackson has, they find themselves encumbered needlessly both creatively and financially.

As I see the previews and clips coming in from The Hobbit I am starting to get excited, because such films—stories of such depth are rare for all the reasons described, and are true treasures of our culture. I desire a world where people can speak and do business with each other without the looters standing in the way trying to make easy money for themselves. And yes, my comments here about the education unions have blacklisted me in entertainment which will go on forever. But I have other talents and I’ll use them to tell the story of how human beings get themselves into these fixes. It’s a difficult thing to balance out the need to make a living and then to make a living that is honest and true. Because the chances are, even if you are a wealthy film maker, if your love is to make movies you still need the industry system to make them, so you do your best to shut your mouth and put up with the parts you don’t like. You give money to the Obama administrations as a payoff to a mobster thug and hope they leave you alone politically. And the same holds true for the teaching profession. Or any profession that is controlled by labor unions, it’s hard to come out and speak against it, and to call it what it is, because the system is designed to exclude any voice of dissention. But I will do it, because I’ve already started the process, so I might as well see it through. And in the meantime, I will cheer with much vigor the upcoming film The Hobbit for all these reasons and more. Great stories are so few and far between, and I’m so excited about this one that I may just go get in line for it right now.
