Bernie Moreno is Poised to Win Ohio: Among voters over 50, he holds a 2-point lead

While discussing polling, let’s discuss the Bernie Moreno senate race in Ohio against Sherrod Brown, the entrenched Democrat who many have thought is unbeatable.  Based on current polling in August of 2024, there is a lot of very encouraging news ahead of significant media buys by Moreno in the fourth quarter to seal the deal.  Among voters over 50, Bernie Moreno is ahead of Sherrod Brown by 2.  Across the state, with all voters considered, Brown is up by 4, but he has had to spend many millions of dollars to lose a lot of ground to Bernie essentially.  I’ve talked about all that before, but these tight polls this early are very encouraging.  Because the over 50 numbers fall into what I have been saying are the keys for Bernie to beat Sherrod Brown and take from the Democrats that long-held senate seat.  If we’re going to make an honest pitch to defeat globalism, defeating Sherrod Brown’s seat in Ohio is essential.  So this is good news because when it all comes down to boots on the ground, and the too big to rig campaign that all MAGA Republicans have to understand is a factor that works against them, we know that people over 50 tend to vote more than those under.  So when we look at total voter engagement, things look very good for Bernie Moreno to swipe that senate seat away from the tentacles of the Democrat party.  Trump hogs all the air when talking about politics, but stories like this one in Ohio with Bernie Moreno say the most about what is happening.  When thinking about Bernie Moreno and the long history of Sherrod Brown, the first thing people think of is whether Bernie can win.  Is he worth the campaign donation?  Should I even knock on the doors trying to advocate for him to win?  Should I even put out a yard sign?  The answer is yes because not only can Bernie Moreno win, but he can win big, and the Sherrod Brown people know it.

There is a lot going for Bernie Moreno.  He got into this race through his friendship with J.D. Vance who gave him an endorsement early in the process, well before Charlie Kirk and other national names did the same.  Bernie also has a personal relationship with Don Jr. and Kimberly Guilfoyle that extends beyond politics into a real friendship.  These are good names to know and point to a MAGA senate that would be unlike anything we’ve seen in our lifetimes as far as accountability and competence.  When you look at some of the other senate seats across the country and what J.D. Vance has already been able to do during his first few years, many Trump family picks could make a Trump White House spectacular.  Nothing like what was working against Trump in 2016-2020.  I mean there is a reason that “they” want to kill him.  Nothing else has stopped Trump and he is poised to win as his own polling shows him beating Kamala Harris without much of a fight.  There is some media fanfare, but again, when we talk about the reality of engagement, many more people are excited to vote for Trump than Kamala Harris.  She is a media creation designed to sell ad revenue to a horse race that appears much closer than it is.  And on the back of that effort, there are many senate seats that will get Trump voters to vote for them, like Bernie Moreno.  And there are opportunities for Republicans to pick up a massive majority in this upcoming senate.

If the media doesn’t try to keep these political races looking closer to reality, they will lose a lot of ad revenue they count on for their sustainability.  And in Ohio, the close race between Brown and Moreno will be one of the most expensive in the country.  But at this point, the Moreno team has not spent much money.  I spoke to Moreno about this the other day, and he told me their plans for September and October, but Sherrod Brown will not be able to match them.  The Democrats have already spent a small fortune in Ohio to get the weak results we discussed in the opening of this article: a 4-point lead across the state but with voters over 50 leaning toward Bernie by 2 points.  And among independents, about a quarter of them are over 50.  So, in an election where engagement between the parties is not equal, Democrats don’t have much to be excited about, whereas Republicans do; they just had the head of their ticket almost killed on live television, and being the tough guy he is, took the shot to the head in spectacular fashion and got up and pumped his bloody fist in defiance to the sky.  And that guy has personally endorsed Bernie Moreno who is very close to the Trump family.  Sherrod Brown is distraught, perhaps for the first time in his long political career.  People are excited about Bernie Moreno’s potential.  But they know what they get from Sherrod Brown and the Democrat achievements over this last decade is something people are running from, not running to.

During the summer, I do a lot of traveling for competitive shooting events, most weekends through September, and early on, I have seen Bernie Moreno signs all over the place in what I think is too soon for politics.  However, it shows how excited people are for Trump and Trump-endorsed candidates.  There are not many Sherrod Brown signs.  I’ve seen a few here and there, but nothing like what is behind the Bernie Moreno movement, starting in July and moving into August.  I have been to every interstate exit along the Ohio highway system, except for the turnpike, which I avoid in upper Ohio.  So the Bernie Moreno signs are consistent, not just regionalized in Southern Ohio.  One day, I wondered about all this when I noticed a neighbor putting out his Bernie Moreno signs early, so I asked him why.  I hadn’t put mine out yet because I hadn’t been home really enough to do so.  And he said he couldn’t wait to get Bernie Moreno into the Senate with Trump in the White House.  And for him, that process started by putting a sign in his yard three months early.  You do not see people doing that kind of thing for Sherrod Brown.  Like I said, people know who he is.  Bernie is the opportunity for something better, and if everything is pretty even now, by election day, Bernie will only get better, while Brown will have a lot to lose.  Playing not to lose is not playing to win, and that’s where all Democrats find themselves.  So yes, things are looking well for Bernie Moreno.  We can’t take anything for granted, but as things are shaping up, Bernie Moreno has a great chance of beating Sherrod Brown and gaining that critical senate seat.  There is a lot to be excited about.  But take nothing for granted.  And do all the work it takes.  But in the end, everything will work for the better and be well worth it.

The Truth of Why Biden is Stepping Down: Bernie Moreno is doing great in Ohio, leaving Sherrod Brown desperate

As everyone is consumed with the Joe Biden news of him dropping out of the race, they have not mentioned the real reason why.  It’s not because they are afraid of losing the White House, which many are.  But that’s not the critical thing.  As we have talked about often, the down-ballot races are starting to show erosion, and one such race is one they are concerned about in Ohio, which is the Senator Sherrod Brown seat.  Ohio is the future of a new economy where the battle plan is to bring jobs back from foreign markets, destroyed initially by globalism, and with J.D. Vance getting the VP pick by Trump, because of the story of Middletown, Ohio that is one of the best examples of this tragic aggression by global finance, Ohio is going to be the centerpiece of the MAGA movement trade policies over the next few years.  And Sherrod Brown, the long-time Democrat stronghold, is not polling well against his challenger Bernie Moreno.  Bernie is 3 points down in July without spending any money. At the same time, Sherrod Brown has spent a small fortune only to see his lead dwindle to a margin that is essentially within the margin of error.  I had an excellent chance to talk to Bernie in the backyard of a mutual friend’s house, fresh off his return from Wisconsin, where he introduced J.D. Vance as the Vice Presidential Nominee for Trump.  Bernie and J.D. have been tied at the hip for the last few years, and there are few political alliances closer to the MAGA movement than J.D. Vance and Bernie Moreno.  Always close in the background is Don Jr. and the next generation of Republicans who will fill the gaps once Trump does finally retire after this next term.  So we had a lot to talk about, and that was good.

I have been impressed with Bernie Moreno. It seems like a long time ago, but it was only September of 2023 when I had a call from a bunch of people who wanted me to have lunch with Bernie at a country club nearby and to hear his pitch.  I was tired after just landing from Japan, and I didn’t think much of what I considered at the time to be a third-place guy in the primary.  But I went anyway, and I was happy I did because I left that meeting thinking Bernie was a fresh shot in the arm which would be great if he could get through the primary process.  Which he did without much struggle.  And I became a Bernie Moreno supporter through his hard-earned efforts.  I have seen him on several occasions since then and have been impressed with his natural charisma and love for hard work.  He’s not a phony but a successful businessman who, like many people associated with President Trump, is getting into politics for all the right reasons.  He wants to Make America Great Again.  At that lunch meeting, I learned that Bernie was associated with Charlie Kirk from Turning Point USA and was personal friends with Don Jr. and Kimberly Guilfoyle.  So I quickly went from a “he doesn’t have a chance” to “he’s the right kind of guy” quickly, which is why it’s good to get to know some of these people.  We all hear stories of politicians who get into the business for all the wrong reasons and become embarrassed by them once they are elected.  So, I’m always interested in exceptional people who go way above and beyond to break that stereotype, so I came away from that first meeting with Bernie feeling great about him.  There are a lot of bad politicians out there, and Bernie isn’t one of them.

One of the things we spoke about regarding the events that led up to the RNC Convention and his introducing J.D. Vance to the world as the VP for Trump was the dinner he had with Don Jr. just a few days before as we were talking about sincere people, and Don Jr. had taken the call from his daughter asking to speak at the Convention.  There are many people in the world that Don Jr. could be having dinner with, but he was with Bernie.  So Bernie has turned out to be the center of everything: MAGA.  And as we were talking about all that had happened over the last several months since that first meeting, fresh from my trip to Japan, was how the Ohio race was shaping up.  Sherrod Brown isn’t used to competition and has struggled with Trump’s MAGA movement.  It’s been a problem for Brown for a long time because the unions are influential in the north, and Trump is good with them.  Progressive politics doesn’t hold up well to Trump, leaving Brown to stay close and friendly to the President for his survival.  But the Trump family heavily endorses Bernie Moreno, and Brown knows how difficult that makes things for him.  So there is a panic in the Brown camp right now with the race being that close with several months to go and the Moreno team not spending any money yet.  By September, when the NFL season starts, the Bernie ad money will kick in, and people all over the nation, especially in Ohio, will meet the Bernie Moreno I have come to know, and they will want to vote for him.  He’s a good guy running for one of the most important seats in the nation.  And Ohio is ground zero for MAGA policies that will help Pennsylvania and Michigan become great again as an improved labor market for manufacturing and fossil fuels.

So yes, there is more to Joe Biden dropping out of the race.  They have seen all these internals, the things we have discussed in these important backyard meetings for a while now.  And the reality is smashing them in the face, which I think is excellent.  Democrats deserve to lose; they have been deceitful and malicious, and their policies have destroyed American manufacturing toward globalism in vicious ways that they deserve to pay dearly for.  And, of course, Democrats can’t look in the mirror and apply blame to themselves; they think it’s because Biden has been a horrible president and that he is dragging down the ticket for all races, even dog catchers.  But the truth is, Republicans just needed good people like Bernie Moreno and J.D. Vance, who were privately very successful before they got into politics, to run as options, and suddenly, MAGA Republican politics is a fresh breath of air for the future.  And there aren’t many others across the country who are more MAGA than Bernie Moreno.  I enjoyed speaking with him again and am excited to see him beat Sherrod Brown in Ohio for that critical Senate seat.  Even Mitch McConnell is excited about Bernie as national fundraising for that seat has caught his eye, and he’s helping aggressively.  Bernie is uniting people; when you meet him, it’s easy to see why.  He’s a very likable person, and he’s smart.  And it will be people like him who hold the future of America in their hands.  After all that we’ve been through, it is wonderful to see.  We deserve Bernie Moreno for all the good he is and will be once he wins that Senate seat from Sherrod Brown and the Democrats of doom and their policies that have destroyed so much.  With Bernie, there is hope and a reason to think of the future in fresh, new ways.

I Endorse Bernie Mareno for Ohio Senate: The necessity of Defeating the radical Democrat Sherrod Brown

I had been thinking about Frank LaRose for the next senate seat in Ohio, where Sherrod Brown, the long-time extremely progressive Democrat, is vulnerable.  There are three Republicans looking to take a shot at taking on Sherrod Brown, and because he was Secretary of State and I knew the most about him, Frank was well positioned to defeat Sherrod Brown, which will be a tough job under optimal conditions.  I remember how tough it was when another person I supported, Jim Renacci, tried to do it a few years back but fell short.  Jim left some opportunities on the table, so this has been cooking in the background for quite a while.  Winning this seat would significantly impact the balance in the Senate from Democrat control to Republican.  But it needs to be a good Republican, and there was an upgrade when Rob Portman stepped down and J.D. Vance won that seat opposite Sherrod Brown.  Rob Portman had essentially become a Democrat, and between him and Sherrod Brown, Ohio was not being represented in the federal Senate with conservative values.  So, this next chance at Sherrod Brown was critical, and I thought only Frank had a chance.  The other guy running is another person I have met a few times, Matt Dolan.  He’s a good guy, but he’s a traditional country club Republican who doesn’t think much of Trump supporters, and nobody is going to win anything in Ohio if they don’t have the Trump base.  Plus Matt is one of the owners of the Cleveland Guardians baseball team in Cleveland and people haven’t forgotten how he caved to woke pressure to change the name from the Indians, which people miss.  So he is damaged goods.  Then there was this guy Bernie Mareno, who I didn’t know much about until I met him at a fundraiser for Nancy Nix.

I was surprised that Nancy Nix had already come out in favor of Bernie at that point.  But the special election in August hadn’t happened yet, and the loss on Issue 1 essentially damaged Frank LaRose for the foreseeable future.  And I couldn’t help but think how funny Bernie Mareno was at that event, which featured comedians for entertainment. That was quite a nice touch by Nancy.  Nancy usually has a great sense of people in politics, so I pay attention to who she supports and why, and suddenly, Bernie Mareno looked a lot better for that senate seat.  So, I was already leaning in the direction of Bernie when I had a chance to have lunch with him and get to know him better.  And I’m glad I did because there are things I learned that I wouldn’t have otherwise come to know about him personally, which makes him to me an emphatic yes on an endorsement. Bernie Mareno is undoubtedly the best Republican to take on Sherrod Brown, and after hearing from his team, they have the best game plan I have heard yet for taking down the long-time Democrat.  Bernie was good on all the conservative boxes, great on Ukraine support, great on business first in Ohio, and great on MAGA positions.  He has been a successful businessperson, so he has an independence that I find very valuable in political figures.  After spending some time with Bernie it was clear to me why Nancy came out so early in endorsing him.  Bernie was likable, brilliant, and getting into politics for all the right reasons.  Essentially, and I understand completely, he’s at a place where he has been very successful and wants to leave the country in good hands to the next generation.

Unlike Frank LaRose, who is now damaged goods politically because of the Issue 1 failure, and Matt Dolan, who does not like Trump supporters and is best known for changing his name under woke pressure, Bernie Mareno is a well-connected fresh face.  He has a great relationship with J.D. Vance, the current senator.  I had met J.D. under similar circumstances in the backyard of Nancy Nix, by her pool, ironically.  So, it has been interesting to watch this new generation of politicians emerge and build a new teamwork network.  And Bernie is undoubtedly part of that because with J.D. Vance also comes relationships with the Trump family, especially Don Jr and Kimberly Guilfoyle.  Bernie also told me that he had formal endorsements from Charlie Kirk from Turning Point USA, so these were all great things, and there are many more to come.  Bernie Mareno had quietly put together all the pieces for a successful run against Sherrod Brown that he would need, which certainly consolidated the Trump MAGA base in Ohio without ostracizing all the other degrees of Republicans along the way, which can be a tricky balance.  And he’s full-time committed to running for this seat, which means a lot of leg work across Ohio, which he has already been utilizing, with a lot more work to do.  But it’s a tough job, even with great endorsements, and one obvious thing was that Bernie Mareno was a hard worker who was faith-based.  We talked about God and moral perspective on the Washington D.C. culture, which he was great at.  And he had the right mindset for what it would take and the energy to put it all to work.

I endorse Bernie Mareno for the Ohio Senate seat.  I would give it based on what I know about Bernie himself.  All the other good stuff is just reassurance.  To beat Sherrod Brown, you must be able to tap into his union support in the northeast, and only the Trump base can do that with the percentages needed.  There are a lot of union people who support Trump and are willing to vote for Republicans on anything, so long as Trump is part of the story.  Then, of course, the rest of the puzzle is that Bernie will have to perform with significant margins in the southwest.  Only Bernie has a chance at any of this.  I worry about Frank being stubborn and not repairing his brand before another run because he could easily make himself a future Ron DeSantis.  You lose a lot of political capital when you suffer a loss, and Frank needs to be part of some wins before he attempts anything like a state race again.  And, of course, the MAGA base won’t turn out for Dolan, and at this stage, there is no way to be who he isn’t.  Dolan will get soft support and nothing better, and that won’t peel away any votes from Sherrod Brown.  Only Bernie Mareno has a plan and personality to pull that off, which is exciting.  I’ve heard a lot of happy talk over the years about taking on Sherrod Brown, but nobody has had the gas in the tank to do it.  Bernie Mareno does.  And I’m looking forward to watching it happen over the coming race.  Replacing Rob Portman and Sherrod Brown with J.D. Vance and now Bernie Mareno would be excellent for Republican politics and change the face of the Senate into a much more conservative body of representative government.  And it is what Ohio deserves after several long years of the wrong people representing us.  We all deserve better, and Bernie Mareno is what we should have had all along.

CEOs Deserve to Make a Lot of Money: Average workers don’t own equally the risk it takes to run a business–Karl Marx never figured that out

It’s the same old communist push from progressives in the United States, politicians like Sherrod Brown from Ohio and Elizabeth Warren, the loser we know so well as the Indian claiming “Pocahontas.”  We’re talking about their positions on CEOs, that they make too much money, many times more than the average worker.  Whenever you hear some loser like them saying, “CEOs make 400 times more than the average worker, and that something needs to be done about it, what you are hearing is a know-nothing loser who has the economic maturity of a cat spaced out on catnip.  I address this issue in some detail in the supplied video but let me spell it out briefly.  CEOs make a lot of money because it is they who shoulder the risk for all the workers.  There is nothing wrong with being an average worker, but there is also a lot of safety in earning a living.  CEOs have no such comfort.  It is they who make a company successful or not, and it is they who own the risk for possible failure, of whether there is a job to even punch a time clock to.  There is no such thing as shared ownership of workers and creating a business, any business.  Such thoughts that they are in any way come directly from the works of Karl Marx and are picked up by loser politicians like Sherrod Brown and exploited purely for political purposes by the ignorant and purposely malicious.

CEOs are great for society

New Emerson Poll Has Jim Renacci Catching Sherrod Brown By Election Day: The 2018 election will be won by voter turnout

A new Emerson Poll fresh off the wire tells the story in Ohio quite well. It has Senator Sherrod Brown, the long-time liberal Democrat at 49% ahead of the midterm election with Jim Renacci, the Republican challenger, at 43%. It tells a similar story about Richard Cordray who is of the same kind of liberal mind as Sherrod Brown at 49% while Mike DeWine is at 46%. Although that shows key Republicans losing, at this moment it does provide some interesting analysis. It certainly puts them in the margin of error meaning that the strength of voter turnout will contribute directly to the success or failure of Republicans. Without capturing more than 49% of voter approval neither Democrat running for the big races in Ohio can break 50% of support and that means that their base is supporting them, but they can’t get any higher. Ohio leans to the right so without breaking 50% there is a very stunning statistic there that doesn’t look good for any Democrat.

https://www.emerson.edu/news-events/emerson-college-today/emerson-poll-close-governor-races-ohio-oregon-kansas-democrats-look-pick-congressional-seat-kansas#.W9l35_ZFyM8

My thoughts on polls is that they are the best information that we have about the trends in voting, but I am skeptical of them. We can’t assume that these are wrong and are likely higher from Emerson. Data is data and we have to look at it and let it tell us the story as is. I’m quite aware of suppression polls, and the Rush Limbaugh theory of what happens as elections tighten up. No pollster wants to look bad and to get it wrong on election day, so any fantasies of suppression polls go away as election day nears, which is likely why so many Republicans across the country are suddenly looking so much better. Suppression polls of course are where pollsters take unusually high samples of Democrat voters to help make the poll tell a more optimistic story for liberal candidates to shape the narrative, particularly in early voting. The tactic is to take the energy out of rival campaigns and cause them to throw up their arms, or not spend that extra money on ads to push for final vote counts as election day nears. We know that happens, but at this point we are through a lot of that. The other thing that is certainly a factor is that Republicans and Democrats do not behave the same way. Speaking for myself I did receive this year lots of attempts by pollsters to call me, but I never pick up the phone unless I know the person calling me. Usually I’m not in a position to take a call as my day is very busy from sun up to sun down. So pollsters don’t capture Republicans like me in their samplings, where Democrats are very social people and tend to pick up their phones a larger percentage of the time. That can swing results to the +5 or to the negative side.

Yet when polling does show this tight of a race, voter turnout will be the unquestioned determining factor, which side has the most energy to support their party. Democrats have obviously been working for two years to build up the energy for a big midterm showing with their push for the Mueller investigation against Trump, for the various caravan issues coming up from Mexico, for their efforts as socialized health care and the constant protests, the drag-assing of the President’s agenda especially in the Kavanaugh situation. A combination of all those things and a constant drum beat from the mainstream media has been to suck the life out of Trump and to give it to Democrats to have a big showing at the midterms and to start the process of running the President out of power well ahead of the 2020 elections. But I see a different trend, one that favors Trump and across the country those that have been backed by Trump directly, like Jim Renacci in Ohio are doing much better than they otherwise would and if voter turnout for Republicans is high—which early voting numbers appear for them to be, then beating incumbent liberals like Sherrod Brown is not far-fetched.

All this has reminded me that if just the gun lobby showed up on election day and voted in mass that likely all the Republicans in these tight races would easily win. If gun owners voted on Election Day 2018 Republicans would win their seats, it’s that close and the gun lobby is that powerful, as it should be. That’s why Democrats hate it so much. The results of election day are completely in the hands of conservatives to win. Sherrod Brown does not have some mythical support base that cuts into all Ohioans. Even after three decades in politics he does not have voter crossover into the other party. Women are voting for liberals like Cordray and Brown at a rate about 3% higher than males, but this latest poll was put together before that disastrous debate at Miami University. In that debate Sherrod Brown’s history with domestic violence and sexual assault came to question and its likely that women opinions on that matter did not make it into this Emerson poll. So, there is room there for variation as well.

It is not smart to go into Election Day with the hope that polls are wrong and that Republicans will pick up 7 to 8% points by default, which is how it was with Trump in 2016. I was saying many of the same things then that I’m saying now and it turned out to be true. Polls get you information, but they don’t tell the whole story, that is determined by voter enthusiasm and Democrats have a flat line in regard to that. Sure, they can turn out the union vote and some radical ANTIFA types that overturn cars in the streets and break out windows, but they don’t have a smart voter class that can adjust to opposition. Their bench just isn’t that deep. Democrats require people to function completely off empathy instead of logic and Trump has been too successful to fuel radical groups to head to the polls. Even with liberal samplings being higher than conservatives who pick up the phone and indicate early voting patterns, Sherrod Brown and Richard Cordray can’t break 50% and that is the big story here. If they can’t do that under the most optimal conditions, they are very vulnerable to voter enthusiasm gaps.

My advice to you dear reader is to make sure that if you do nothing else in the next month is that you go vote for your local Republican. Take nothing for granted and don’t wait for someone else to do it for you. You need to show up and cast your vote like your life depends on it, because in some cases, it does. Democrats if they are defeated in 2018 soundly, and it looks like they will be, will never recover from such a loss. It’s true America is very divided and along party lines. The best way to change that is to destroy that other party completely and then welcome people from the other side to join Republicans into keeping America great. That is the most humane way to solve the divisions we have. Like the Civil War, it will take Democrats decades to realize they are on the wrong side of history and assimilate into the greater American culture, but on Election Day 2018 its important that we look at it like a battle that could potentially end a long war in America—and set up a new day in the life of every American, one that is much brighter under Republican control than it ever was at any point in previous history.

Jim Renacci Destroyed Sherrod Brown in the Final Debate of 2018: Sheree Paolello and Miami University helped make history

If the third and final debate between Jim Renacci and long time Senator Sherrod Brown were a fist fight the liberal would have found his face ripped off and the ring mopped with his blood by the Republican challenger for the election that is taking place on November 6th, 2018. It wasn’t even close, Jim Renacci was very good in that debate even at one point using his accounting skills on the stage to add up Brown’s lobby money to make a point about how the senator had become one of the biggest lobby recipients on the Hill. After watching all the debates, this one was clearly the best one as it was held on the campus of Miami University in their Hall Auditorium to a ruckus crowd that was divided down the middle with Brown supporters on one side, and Renacci supporters on the other. Sheree Paolello along with her Channel 5 partners did a fantastic job with the entire event, I was very impressed with her handling of the crowd and managing the clock. She let Renacci and Brown duke it out on stage without too much clock trouble while letting the audience lightly engage in the debate before commanding their sentiments playfully, but firmly from the stage and bringing everything to a close on time, on national television. I’m a bit of a sucker for competence and I go to a lot of these things, and this one was certainly one of the best run events that I had ever witnessed. Sheree deserves a lot of credit for her fine balance of professionalism and playfulness to really bring out on stage who the two men really were as candidates and that certainly worked to the favor of Jim Renacci.

The tickets for the event were split with Sherrod Brown supporters on the left side of the large room facing the stage and Renacci supporters on the right. There was an upper deck in the hall that had people there as well, and of course those are the type of liberals that activate and always show up at these events to make Democrats look like a larger sampling of society. But this time the Republican had a lot of people of their own. There were more people for Brown which wasn’t surprising for a campus event. Additionally, it was raining and there was a long line to get into the building through security, so for a Friday night to fill a large auditorium on a college campus in the pouring cold rain of a late October in 2018 I was very surprised to find myself surrounded with a very energized crowd for Jim Renacci. It looked to me that the Democrat radicals who obviously showed up to out shout conservatives as they could were shocked as well to find a resistance to their usual antics. At the end of the debate as I show in the video I posted on Twitter, that crowd was certainly different from similar events—the battle lines that ran through our national politics were certainly on full display.

But during the event itself Jim Renacci showed a large range of skills, everything from humor to satirical wit, he kept Sherrod Brown bouncing around on his heels all evening. Brown had a few good lines, but most of the debate he was forced to react to Renacci by attempting to use the same tired old liberal talking points about the environment, growing the economy from the inside out, and attacking banks. Renacci the former accountant and extremely successful businessman was just too much for Brown. It was really a battle between an achiever in Renacci and a Marxist theorist who has tried for three decades to make that vision into a reality and failed time and time again in Brown. The liberals following Brown clearly weren’t used to conservatives having such a good candidate in Renacci supported by such an aggressive crowd of supporters and backed by such a successful President Trump. Jim Renacci was handpicked for this job of incoming senator to give the White House more help on the Hill with the Trump agenda and that clearly exposed a new political wrinkle that Democrats just weren’t prepared for.

Of course, the topic of Brown’s domestic violence problems came up and Renacci handled it particularly well. Brown did what he has been doing to defer the issue by saying that Renacci should be ashamed of himself for even bringing it up. But it was a question from the moderator and Renacci had to answer the question accurately. It was after all Sherrod Brown who tried to keep Brett Kavanaugh out of the Supreme Court by picking the testimony of abuse articulated unsubstantiated by Dr. Ford recently who set a standard of conduct for which he couldn’t live up to. So it was a fair question and all Brown could do was say that various newspapers in the state of Ohio wanted Renacci to stop bringing up the issue. Well, liberal newspapers in the bag for Democrats don’t make the rules—they can decide to cover Republicans and Democrats differently, which they certainly do. If a Republican tried to get away with Sherrod Brown’s answer to the domestic violence question, they would have been ran off the stage, but the media is more than willing to give a free pass to Democrats every time. But Renacci kept the complicated matter on point and exposed the hypocrisy very well. By Sherrod Brown’s own rules that were thrown at Brett Kavanaugh just a few weeks ago, Brown must step down out of the race. His refusal to do so takes away all the merit of his argument against Kavanaugh, which isn’t surprising. Democrats like Sherrod Brown are used to saying one thing and doing another. They glue the whole thing together every time with emotions from their supporters who show up at these events and shout down the other side into shame, but not this time. This time the conservative had a rowdy crowd of their own and once the liberals started breaking the rules of the evening with their frequent outbursts, Renacci’s crowd started doing the same. Security had to move up into the room to threaten to remove provocateurs several times, and at the end things did get a little out of control from the audience perspective. Somehow Sheree Paolello kept the whole thing on the tracks and under those conditions Jim Renacci just shined. Brown obviously wasn’t prepared and lost the debate handedly.

It was a beautiful night to be out on the very nice campus of Miami University. I wish that truly colleges were places that they were intended to be, places of thought and discussion. After the debate the university put on a nice meet and greet out in the lobby which was designed to facilitate good discussion between everyone with some nice beverages and food offerings. It reminded me that colleges were intended to serve a positive function in society among thoughtful people, even though that has not been the reality. They have instead emerged as cesspools of liberalism, but on my way back to the car under the steady rain soaking my suit tight against my skin on a cold night, I felt like the national dialogue had advanced properly. It wasn’t just because my guy won the debate and that liberals were challenged for a change by members of the #MEGA movement, but it was the campus itself showing a turn for the better in these early years of a new century toward what should have always been. And that is truly what Making America Great Again is all about—and on that debate night Channel 5 and the University of Miami played their part in what will soon become history—and the world is better off for it.

Democrats Are a Form of Mental Illness: Richard Cordray and Sherrod Brown are perfect examples

Richard Cordray is just as bad, all liberals are within the Democrat party, but Sherrod Brown during his debate with Jim Renacci over this past weekend epitomized the flawed nature of their party’s belief in economic theory. It was astonishing to hear one of the most liberal senators from the Hill describe his economic vision which mirrors that of the equally liberal Richard Cordray. Brown described this bizarre theory that you grow economic opportunity from the middle out, as in this insulting “middle class” that he keeps talking about. Doesn’t he realize how insulting that description is? Who wants in their life to just be a middle-class voter? Not many people, most people have dreams and hopes of being something better and the American capitalist system is designed to give them a chance, and even those who fall short add fuel to the economic engine that is the greatest that the world has ever produced. But this notion that government manages economies and deals fairness to everyone is just ridiculous. Yet you could see that Sherrod Brown believed that bit of insanity with everything he had in him. If you could sum up Sherrod Brown’s opinion of his challenger Jim Renacci it was that the Republican was an accomplished millionaire before he ever entered public office and as a liberal Brown can’t stand successful people. He hates them. The same could be said of the liberal hatred of Donald Trump, they hate him because he’s a self-made man who is part of the top 1%.

All the liberal talking points whether it be Medicaid expansion, higher taxes to pay for government healthcare, more money for unionized government schools, higher taxes for the climate change cult, no matter how much you go down the list of liberal beliefs is this bizarre notion that liberals like Sherrod Brown and Richard Cordray can be trusted managing the affairs of government when they have a hard time trusting people with their own freedom. And when people become wealthy it isn’t because of any form of self-initiation, it has to be because they cheated somewhere, because that’s all they understand about human nature. Democrats function from a mistrust in basic human nature because they know they can’t be trusted themselves.

Most Democrats, actually all that I’ve ever known, have some psychological problem and they seek the protection of group affiliations to hide their flaws from the world through collectivist notions. They cannot connect reality to their fantasies always looking for ways to fulfil action by collective association. If only everyone had government healthcare, then suddenly everything would work out and could be magically paid for. They have a natural distrust in private markets because to them everything has to be managed by a class of people, and those in the middle-class are perpetually inclined to need leaders to guide them through life because they can’t think for themselves. Therefor, how can a free market approach to healthcare be viable? Yet that is the only way to bring down the cost of healthcare, through competition and getting out of the making people sick business. Of course, the pharmaceutical lobby in Washington D.C. wants people like Richard Cordray and Sherrod Brown to push for government healthcare because that would give them a guaranteed market for their drugs. What Renacci and Trump are talking about are actual open markets that drive down prices through competition, such as the corrective eye surgery example that Jim Renacci brought up during a debate with Sherrod Brown. A surgical procedure that used to cost many thousands of dollars now costs a few hundred because of the competition involved in that field of endeavor. The same approach could be taken regarding everything in healthcare. If you understand the science, there is no reason for bodies to break down. Aging can be turned off and ultimately people could become productive workers well into their hundreds. People don’t need to die in their 80s. Everything in a human body is fixable, including cancer. The entire healthcare debate is a fake emergency meant to solidify political power and keep people stuck in a middle-class for which Democrats have traditionally controlled through political mechanisms.

The reason is that Democrats do not trust people to make good decisions on their own, because the people who end up becoming liberal have problems of their own and can’t understand how a free market of anything could possibly work. They can’t trust themselves with money, the opposite sex, or matters of thought so how can they understand how a free market could determine winners and losers? If the government isn’t there to determine fairness, how can life be fair? That is the essence of their basic problem and it effects everything they do in life. And when they have to deal with someone like a Jim Renacci, a self-built person, they have only hatred in their dealings with them because the wealthy are functioning from a set of rules that the typical Democrat has no knowledge of.

And while the Democrats do have their wealthy contributors, you can understand them through the same method. Those types of people are Democrats either because they feel guilt about their wealth and don’t really understand why they have it while others don’t, or they know exactly why they have it and they don’t want any competitors, so they look to government to keep people from being rivals in their industries. Just because people are wealthy it doesn’t mean they understand economics, sometimes people just get lucky and are in the right place at the right time. But largely, people like Jim Renacci and Donald Trump became wealthy because they became better in a field over their rivals and to the liberal mind that is something that just isn’t natural. Nobody could possibly be better than anybody else because economies are grown from the middle out, instead of the top down.

Yet history is not on their side on this matter. Everything happens from the top down. Nothing occurs from the inside out, its not possible. Something has to always come from something. Something never comes from nothing. Sherrod Brown’s middle-class musings are pure fantasy, the workers do not make jobs, employers do. Someone makes something and the effect of that creation trickles down into the structure of society. Therefore, economies are grown always from the top down, never from the middle out. Never. Any economist that says otherwise is scamming you, even if they say such a thing from our most prestigious universities. Such a thought is pure fantasy and is not conducive to any kind of reality.

Yet here we are looking at grown men running for the Governor of Ohio and a long-time sitting Senator in Cordray and Brown who has the economic IQ of a four-year-old. I would say they were just stupid if it wasn’t a common theme of the people from their party believing the same things. So we have to accept that the problem is a brand of psychosis specific to the type of people who become Democrats. They are broken people fearful of their own shadows and who lack self-discipline in even basic matters, and they can only function in life if someone helps them. And most of us would look at such people and desire to help them, but we should not be obligated to putting them in power, so they can have influence over our lives. Just because they are broken people doesn’t mean the rest of us have to cripple ourselves to make them feel better. And that is ultimately what Richard Cordray and Sherrod Brown are asking of us in Ohio, to cripple our minds, our economy, and our happiness to allow them to feel equal to the rest of us. And to build up some “middle-class” that they can feel they rule over, just to make them feel useful. No, that’s not a wise thing to do, and we should stop doing it. If they need mental help, let’s talk about giving Democrats proper treatment for their mental limitations. But when it comes to the ballot box, we owe it to ourselves to vote those losers out of office—at the very least.

Sherrod Brown Has Serious Problems: Between the domestic abuse and sexual assults the Senate must take a postition against him

For the second straight week Jim Renacci has the extremely liberal Sherrod Brown on the ropes after the debate Saturday night in Ohio for the senate seat held currently by Democrats. That is because Renacci hasn’t been afraid to go to the places Sherrod Brown has been wanting to cover up for three decades in politics, a history of domestic violence and unwanted sexual advancements against women which has come forward since the last debate where the topic was brought up. Brown has been wanting to stay quiet and to stay on Trump’s coattails but Renacci isn’t playing that way much to the Democrat senators’ consternation. The liberal media isn’t happy about it either, because they want Sherrod Brown to keep his seat, and so does the rest of the Democrat party. But it was only a few weeks ago that the very same Sherrod Brown was in the senate voting against Brett Kavanaugh saying that he was unqualified due to the accusations women had against him, but yet when those same accusations have been leveled at him from Renacci, all of a sudden, we are supposed to function from different rules. I don’t think so, you can’t have it both ways.

Sherrod Brown was so frustrated after the second debate that he left without speaking to the press yet again. Before the debate there was a lot of arguing between the campaign managers about where the family of Brown would be sitting, because obviously this talk about sexual misconduct is taking a toll on them. But how does Senator Brown think Brett Kavanaugh’s family felt? Then Brown made the really stupid statement trying to rationalize that Jim Renacci was only bringing these things up because he is a desperate candidate behind in the polls. Well, I wouldn’t count on that, I think Jim Renacci is doing far better in the polls than anybody is willing to admit, especially USA Today and their Gannett publications around the country. But I’m confused, USA Today was one of the leading newspapers in the country saying that Brett Kavanaugh wasn’t qualified to even be a Supreme Court Justice because of the mere allegations of sexual assault. Sherrod Brown has a proven history of domestic abuse, isn’t he equally disqualified if not more so because of the court document proof?

Of course, we all know there is a double standard, but there shouldn’t be. Jim Renacci is squeaky clean and can afford to throw stones in glass houses, and isn’t that what we want? Forget about politics, if a candidate like Jim Renacci can afford to open that can or worms against Sherrod Brown doesn’t that say something very positive about the Republican challenger? Of course, on the issues Brown has been a three-term senator and has a long track record in as one of the most progressive members on the Hill. Renacci himself has a long history as a successful person as a private businessman and a congressman. So both men are accomplished from the perspective of their various political parties. On the subject of issues, people have options in this election between two visions. But it was the Democrats and the very liberal press that brought up this standard of sexual history among candidates. All Renacci did during the debate was ask for a criterion of qualification, for which is a strength of his, so why not use it. If you’ve been a good guy all your life and treated women well, why not use that as a case for why he should be the next senator? Especially when it was Sherrod Brown and his team of liberal senators who set the criteria for which they can’t live up to themselves.

Sherrod Brown represents exactly what is wrong with liberalism, both times in these debates Brown has lectured Renacci about how ashamed of himself he should be for bringing up the domestic abuse case. But what were we told when Brett Kavanaugh tried to inflict shame on his accusers, we were told that the judge lacked the “temperament” to be confirmed to the Supreme Court. Only a liberal who is guilty of committing vile acts against women would have the audacity to lecture an accuser because they count on the media to be their protectors from justice. Yet Renacci has every right to bring up the issue because the Democrats largely led by Brown himself established the criteria of judgment. It could easily be determined that Brown himself does not have the temperament to be in the senate confirming future Trump nominees due to his own history of domestic violence and sexual abuse of women. In these modern times of new definitions of everything we are demanding out of our politicians an even higher degree of scrutiny. And between the two candidates, Renacci can pass that test, Brown cannot. Why should Renacci be ashamed of himself? He’s the one with the clean record.

Of course, Brown would love to keep the election on issues, we all know that the numbers game works on behalf of the incumbent, which is Brown in this case. But in the modern context of how we pick candidates these days, we have to have elected officials who can stand the scrutiny of modern office and by Sherrod Brown’s own standards, he has disqualified himself not only with a well-documented history of domestic violence, but with further allegations by several women of sexual abuse. Brown is very vulnerable to the modern interpretations of sexual abuse and Renacci has every right to bring it up. That is the point of the debates after all, for each candidate to distinguish themselves to voters, the 5 to 8% of voters who are up for grabs outside of the party system. Democrats will vote for Brown, Republicans will vote for Renacci, but it’s those independents that they are both fighting for and among them they have to understand what makes each candidate different. Policy making won’t do it for them. But understanding who is cleaner than the other is, and Renacci has the clear advantage in that regard.

I’m personally really looking forward to the third and final debate between Renacci and Brown at Miami University this upcoming Friday October 26th, 2018. At this point I’m wondering if Brown will even show up. Every time they have a debate his performance gets worse and worse and the media has to acknowledge even reluctantly that Brown has major problems. The Democrats themselves have big trouble because they should take a position against Brown, but they can’t afford to. The Blue Wave that Chuck Schumer was hoping for is turning out to be a mere ripple in a kiddie pool. They aren’t going to pick up seats in the senate, likely they are going to lose them, so they can’t afford to take a moral position against Brown, which will come back to haunt them. Jim Renacci is showing exactly why he should win that seat, because he CAN afford to throw the stones in the glass house. If Democrats had dirt on Jim Renacci, they would have used them by now, so all they can do is hope that the media continues to ignore the domestic abuse story. But the closer we get to the election, the more relevant it becomes. And the more pressure there is for Sherrod Brown to resign, not just to fight to keep his seat. The issue is a hot button topic and its picking up in intensity, as it very well should.

Sherrod Brown Must Step Down: The Rules of #METOO dictate so

It really became apparent for me during the first debate between Jim Renacci and Sherrod Brown for the highly contested senate seat in Ohio, that it’s really a one-person race. Sherrod Brown, who is currently the three-time senator and its his seat that the battle is over, is effectively not qualified to run. It’s not even a political issue, it has nothing to do with any “dog” bills that Brown worked on to help Ohio residents with their “pets,” it has nothing to do with jobs, or Medicaid expansion. It has everything to do with the rules that we all now live under with the #METOO movement. Because Sherrod Brown was involved in a domestic violence case where his ex-wife had to file a restraining order against him, the Ohio Senator must step down. Sherrod Brown must step down. That’s all there is to it. It’s not dirty politics, its by the rules that his party have helped manifest, and under those guidelines, which were presented in the Judge Kavanaugh hearings as the established criteria it doesn’t matter how long ago an offense against a woman took place, or even whether or not the woman forgave the man—it only matters that the man did something and if a woman says such a thing from her lips. And in this case its more than an accusation, there are court documents which present the case beyond speculation of innuendo. Sherrod Brown was involved in a domestic violence situation for which he was the aggressor and that now disqualifies him for public office.

Before the Judge Kavanaugh hearings where a girl from high school, a woman named “Dr. Ford” came forward with allegations of rape during a drinking party when she was something like 15 years old, we might say that something that occurred that long ago would be purely political in motivations to bring up during a campaign. But Democrats did just such a thing to block the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh, President Trump’s second pick to the Supreme Court. And they were more than willing to destroy the good name of Brett Kavanaugh to keep him off the court—and the entire media played along. Lucky for the courts there were enough votes to nominate Judge Kavanaugh to the high court anyway, but the Democrats opened up a lot of cans of worms in the process and introduced them as methods of appraisal for the future. They made a very strong case against Kavanaugh and were willing to stick by them even to the point of having their supporters scratch at the doors to the Supreme Court like cats trying to get inside from a freezing snowstorm outside. They made quite a spectacle of themselves all in the name of the #METOO movement.

Yet Sherrod Brown is trying to hold a critical senate seat against a worthy opponent and the debates between the two are good showing two paths for Ohio voters. Both men are distinctly different giving Ohio a real choice between two options. But after the Kavanaugh hearings and the methods of appraisal that the Democrats introduced, they essentially torpedoed their own candidate in Sherrod Brown. The rules had changed and under those new rules Brown was expected to step down immediately. All that mattered was that sometime within the past thirty years Sherrod Brown was involved in domestic violence. That is the end of the story, he is immediately disqualified. Even if he were to win his seat back, it would be illegitimate due to his documented history as a volatile male aggressor. The proof is in the court documents that his ex-wife filed against him.

Obviously, the Democrats are crying foul, and so is Sherrod Brown. They are used to throwing these kinds of things out there and making political monstrosities out of little issues, but they are not used to those things being applied to them. The media itself looks at the Sherrod Brown case and wants to cry political foul, but they were silent when Democrats were doing much worse to Brett Kavanaugh. We were supposed to believe that this straight-laced judge was a drinker and rapist when all he was ever doing was following the rules of a popular kid in high school. The standard that Democrats were trying to paint on Judge Kavanaugh not a single Democrat would ever be qualified for elected office for the rest of their lives, but they went for broke anyway. Now they must live with the consequences. They introduced the standard that they now have to live with.

Democrats can’t have it both ways, either we are to consider what women say about men and take their word for it 100% or we use other considerations such as a person’s actual record to judge them. Under the terms of the #METOO movement it doesn’t matter how many dogs Sherrod Brown has saved over his career, or how much he worked with the fellow Democrat John Kasich to expand Medicaid, what matters is what he did and how those rules apply to the sentiments of our day. Sherrod Brown was involved in domestic violence and that means that he must step out of public office. It would have been nice if they could have done all this well before the election so that Democrats could have found someone else to do that job but as it stands, timing is irrelevant according to the #METOO movement. We were to believe that the introduction of Dr. Ford’s testimony days before Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation vote was to occur was out of compassion for the women involved in the case. Well so too is the court documents of Sherrod Brown’s ex-wife. It doesn’t matter that she has come out stating forgiveness because the act of violence occurred regardless of her opinion about it. We all know that at the time of the domestic violence Sherrod Brown was a nobody. Since then he has spent the rest of his years in public office and has accumulated a lot of money as a top donor of lobby investment, so money has a way of inspiring forgiveness and Brown’s ex-wife has now seen the benefits of his public life and what it could do for her and her children. So she has come out and forgiven her ex-husband for the kind of violence that inspired her to seek a restraining order against him. But in the context of #METOO, the act itself is all we are to consider even if the action occurred over 30 years ago. Those are the rules.

If Democrats don’t hold Brown to the rules, then they can never use them against Republicans for any future election. By letting Sherrod Brown slip by, Democrats give up the opportunity to use the #METOO rules in any future election. While that may seem like a good idea today to preserve one senate seat, Democrats may want to consider the long-term options. As it stands, Republicans are going to pick up seats in the senate. They aren’t going to lose them. So what’s one silly little seat in the scheme of things? Is it really worth protecting Sherrod Brown and giving up their #METOO leverage? I say either way Republicans will end up winning. But for those who really think that the Judge Kavanaugh case was about women being abused, how can you really let Sherrod Brown off the hook? The answer is you can’t.

After this, Sherrod Brown Must Step Down: Jim Renacci just destroyed him in an Ohio debate–it wasn’t even close

These statewide debates are always very polite, but in that context Jim Renacci’s first debate with the three-term senator from Ohio Sherrod Brown was a disaster for one of the most liberal members of the senate. You can see the whole debate below but if you just go to the end the summation will be quite clear, Sherrod Brown walked off the stage and left the building not even giving interviews after Jim Renacci tore him to pieces. Renacci was very well prepared and stayed on issue the entire time. It was quite clear that Jim Renacci knows how to win these kinds of tough elections, which is why President Trump personally picked him to run against Brown. But it was surprising just how much on his heels Brown was during the entire debate, except for one time when Renacci brought up the domestic abuse case that had been hanging around Sherrod Brown’s neck for over thirty years. At that point Brown turned to Renacci and indicated that he should be ashamed of himself for even bringing that up because his ex-wife had forgiven him long ago. But the effect of that line left a very uncomfortable stench in the air that Renacci had successfully exposed.

As a nation we had just watched Brett Kavanaugh have to explain his high school year books when a woman from way back then accused him of rape and it was Democrats themselves who indicated that Kavanaugh just for the accusation of such a monstrosity should be removed from consideration for Supreme Court. Yet Sherrod Brown had the audacity to look at Jim Renacci and say that his challenger should be ashamed of himself for considering specific factual evidence of domestic abuse coming from the Brown household. It really didn’t matter if the ex-wife forgave him, what did matter as established by Democrats is that it happened at all. In the Kavanaugh case it was his word against hers, in this case there is evidence and court documents. If Sherrod Brown had abused women 30 years ago, he was still prone to do so according to logic. So why wouldn’t Brown be knocked out of contention for the senate race in Ohio just by the modern definitions of the #METOO movement? That’s what we’ve all been told by Democrats is supposed to happen.

The reason Brown’s statement to Renacci about the domestic abuse had such an ominous appeal to it that left the room gasping for air because it put on full display a truth we all know, but don’t often see in the light of day. We know there is a double standard in the media between Democrats and Republicans and how the media applies rules of conduct for each. Obviously, the media leans heavily to the political left and they won’t jeopardize a liberal senate seat in Ohio, they are more than willing to give Brown a free pass. And they planned to help Sherrod Brown out with his #METOO problem. His ex-wife was certainly willing to help out but we have seen out of the political left intense hypocrisy applied to President Trump and many others over much less than what Sherrod Brown did. Even at the worst-case scenario if President Trump did have a fling with Stormy Daniels and some other women and it was all consensual, we were told that those events made him not fit for the presidency. But with Brown we were supposed to buy into his sincerity when he looked hurt that Renacci even brought it up. Up until that moment I hadn’t been thinking too much about Sherrod Brown’s domestic violence problems from the past, but by the way he looked at Renacci and expected a different set of rules, it was quite clear that there is a lot more to the story than the media was willing to adhere to.

On every topic Brown was on the back of his feet, it was clear that he didn’t come prepared for the debate. And when Renacci pushed Brown on the lack of work that Brown actually did for Ohio Brown gave a fine example of his behavior right after the debate when Renacci worked the press completely alone. Brown didn’t stay for any questions. Likely he didn’t feel he needed to with a big lead in the Real Clear Politics poll, but as we know, that’s not very reliable. More than that, I think Renacci hit him too hard on the domestic violence issue and it cause trouble at home, and Brown had to fix that rather than talk to the press. Whatever the situation, Renacci showed that he was a much more stable person, and a much harder worker interested in the job. Renacci won the night in both deed and action, it was a brilliant performance.

The choice between Brown and Renacci is very simple. Brown demonstrated that as a guy who had been in Washington for over 30 years that he still hasn’t a clue as to what makes an economy work. Workers don’t have any jobs if not for corporations, so by making big business an enemy, how can anybody expect to create jobs? I mean anybody with basic economic understanding knows that progressive talking points like “global warming,” “tax the rich.” and “being friends with Wall Street” are stupid and idealistic, not rooted in any kind of reality. If workers don’t have jobs because all the employers have been taxed to hell and back and pushed out of the United States, then what good are they? Even for a polished politician Sherrod Brown sounded like a kid in the 1st grade trying to explain economics, he didn’t seem to understand even the basics. But Renacci was an accountant by trade and he knows numbers. He made Brown look like a complete idiot in all economic discussions.

Yet the zinger of the evening was the domestic violence problem for Sherrod Brown. His own party has set the stage for his voluntary removal from office. They established the criteria he must live up to. It reminds me of the Bill O’Reilly situation when liberals were so happy that they used allegations of sexual misconduct to get the long time and popular newsman knocked off the air at Fox News. Then Democrats realized that they had people in their party doing much worse, like big time fundraiser Harvey Weinstein. After Democrat men started dropping like flies the #METOO movement cooled off a lot. Conservatives live pretty good lives, they can throw rocks in glass houses a lot better than Democrats and liberals had to realize that they had opened a can of worms they couldn’t endure themselves. But they reopened that can with the Brett Kavanaugh hearings and now one of their precious senators in Sherrod Brown was guilty of much, much worse—and the facts were there to prove it. That leaves Democrats with no choice really, one way or another they are going to lose that liberal Ohio senate seat because under the modern terms of #METOO, Sherrod Brown must step down. He is not fit to serve—otherwise liberals can never use such an allegation ever again. Just think if Donald Trump looked at his accusers and said what Brown did, that they should be ashamed of themselves for even bringing up something from his past for political reasons? Liberals can’t have it both ways, and Renacci hit the center of the issue during the debate because he dared to ask the question—a question that Democrats cannot answer without giving everything else up. Is one seat worth all that to them? I don’t think so.

If Renacci pushes this issue Democrats will have to abandon Brown, and that little revelation is what emerged from that first debate in Ohio between Renacci and Brown. Brown is vulnerable emotionally on the issue and that sets the stage for a very interesting upcoming three weeks.
