I have always had a conflict when watching air shows at the concept of formation flying. Of course this idea of formation flying comes from watching birds like geese flying in a triangular pattern. Mankind wishing to fly adopted this tendency, so when airplanes were invented, we executed the practice in reality. The trouble is flying; or rather the romance of it is a solitary endeavor. It’s an achievement of mankind’s success to be able to take to the skies and reach for the heavens under the power of a machine invented in the mind of man.
But as any game hunter will tell you who are hunting ducks, or geese, they love the tendency of those collective oriented birds to fly in formation because it makes them easier to shoot down. When I look at a duck, or a goose, I do not think of independence or the freedom of flight. I just see a stupid creature that travels in packs blindly following a leader and I despise such creatures. When I look up into the sky and see a flock of birds flying about I do not have envy of any kind for them, even though they have the added dimension of flight in their physical abilities. I see them as unintelligent, just as I do when I see human beings behaving in flocks on the ground.
This is why America adopted the American Bald Eagle on June 20th 1782 as its national symbol. The bald eagle was a large creature that had a solitary nature and once they found a mate they stayed together until one died. Eagles are strong, they can fly up to10,000 feet and are at the top of the food chain regarding the bird species. They resembled the idea of what an American is. Because of these traits they were adopted as a national symbol for America.
Eagles are not collectivists. They don’t even migrate with their young, and often not even with their mates. Eagles tend not to nest near other eagles unlike buzzards and other collective oriented raptors. Eagles spend most of their time alone and like it that way. It would simply be an insult to come to a tree full of eagles hanging around socializing and waiting for something to eat. Such a thing just does not happen in nature. If such a thing were to be seen it would cheapen eagles dramatically.
The reason we do not respect crows, buzzards, geese, ducks and dozens of other bird species is because we innately see them as a weaker class due to their tendency toward collectivism. If an eagle were to be shot by a hunter with the same gun that had just killed a buzzard even though both raptors are large and majestic, we would feel a profound sadness for killing the eagle, and probably nothing much for killing the buzzard.
Human beings see such creatures as buzzards and crows as predatory scavengers who wait for something to die so that they can swoop down and eat a carcass. They are nature’s welfare recipients. They are collectivists and we tend to look down our noses at them.
But the blad eagle is a creature that hunts their prey and kills it cleanly—with work and superior speed. We admire the eagle because they are the best at what they do, and they don’t look for help in doing it. It is for reasons like this that we admire the bald eagle as representatives of American citizens. Bald eagles are what Americans know they should strive to become, individual predators for their own welfare.
This is why I think it is disgraceful to see a flock of American warplanes flying in formation. When I met the Thunderbird pilots a few years ago at an air show, I did not look at them with awe. I admired their piloting abilities, but as I shook their hands, I realized that they were simply collectivists who followed orders from their military superior. They flew in formation like geese and did what they were told. Because of that, I had less respect for them.
It is for these reasons that the old Tom Cruise movie Top Gun is still revered as a classic American film. There’s a bit of Maverick in all of us—the kind of person who wishes to go it alone and march to the beat of their own drummer, to thumb their nose at authority and give them the finger while doing it. Americans were never intended to fly in formation. They were not intended to cooperate with the crows, the buzzards and the geese of the world. Can anyone imagine an eagle sharing its food with a group of buzzards? How about an eagle sharing its kill with a flock of crows? What about an eagle plucking off little bits of flesh from a slain fish to feed to a flock of ducks swimming around helplessly on the surface of a lake? Such thoughts are absurd. Yet our modern government of ducks, buzzards, and crows proclaim that all the American Eagles of society should do just that.
In nature, which the tree hugging parasitic hippies seem to worship, the bald eagle would eat the ducks if they got in its way. They’d slaughter a whole tree of buzzards because the buzzards are individually cowards who do not know how to fight. And a whole flock of geese could be slain by one eagle should the eagle desire to do so. This is why Americans are the eagles of the world and why they tend not to be politicians. Buzzards and crows become politicians, and they have tried to bend nature with rules of their own requiring eagles to hunt for them as they sit in the tree and wait for a dead carcass to be delivered to their feet in the form of taxes.
No matter how politicians attempt to frame the issue, or Hollywood tries to glorify collectivism, Americans do not like collectivists. Their favorite movie stars are individuals. Their favorite movies promote individualism. And their military heroes are solitary, not collective. At air shows it is not the acrobatic collectivism that amazes audiences, but the one Marverick in those planes that would break out of formation and shoot down 5 of the enemy all by themselves. The thought of such a thing are what puts smiles on the faces of the young and old alike. The reason for it is the same as why America selected the bald eagle as its national symbol. It is also why progressives would like to change the national symbol from an eagle to a flock of ducks.
Enjoy your Fourth of July, and honor the eagle with a special respect as you fire off your fireworks defying the law—which has proclaimed them illegal in most states. The Fourth of July is about honoring the eagle in each of us, and that is not to be taken lightly.
Politicians will tell the American public to their faces that the NDAA Act was done for their safety, yet there is evidence that some factions of our own government are preparing for a mass extermination of American citizens right now. Below Alex Jones has visited the site where massive amounts of generic coffins have been placed in a field near the Atlanta airport. Listen to Alex’s report carefully, because he addresses many of the questions you might have as a natural skeptic.
A logical person upon hearing this will ask, “but why would our government want to kill it’s citizens? And why would they be preparing for thousands upon thousands of deaths by stock piling these coffins all over the United States?” Well, that would be a good question. But like most people reading this we were taught in public school to follow our assignments and not to question things too much. We were taught to stand quietly in line and do what we’re told, so it should come as little surprise that millions upon millions of Americans chose not to see coffins being stationed for some future catastrophe near a major metropolitan area.
The question everyone should ask is that “what proof is there that we SHOULD trust what government officials tell us about NDAA and the FEMA coffins shown in Alex’s investigation.” The track record of honesty is not good between government and the people they serve, so by nature of logic, there is very little we should trust—and we should demand to know why our tax money is spent on such things, instead of just looking the other way because the reality of such a sight is unbearably grotesque. I personally do not find it hard to believe that members of our government would use FEMA to exterminate massive amounts of Americans with a deadly virus, or even under martial law using the NDAA to justify the violence. I say this because I also know that there are many well-known philanthropists who have their fingers in politics and believe that the world is over populated and needs to be reduced to protect the planet from evil human beings.
To me, those types of comments are far more extreme than Alex Jones walking around a field in Georgia wondering why there are so many containers made by a coffin company sitting around with no place to go. The evidence adds up to something sinister that can only be indulged in by speculation.
That brings us back to our original question, why would politicians in government be willing to kill Americans? Corrupt politics are one thing, but to commit mass murder is another? If history is known, as I know it, mass murder of political dissidents by tyrannical government is not new. You can see how many countries and how many deaths have occurred in just the 20th century that are documented at the Wikipedia link below. God only knows how many there have been under governments that hid a majority of the deaths from official counts. Members of the Obama administration have shown that they openly endorse the governments of Stalin and of Mao Zedong which is extremely alarming considering it was Mao who during the land reform and counterrevolutionary campaign in communist China envisaged that one tenth of the peasants would have to be destroyed to facilitate agrarian reform. That meant the death of 50 million people. In the Soviet Union under Stalin that number was 20 million. Those are the results of communism which many thousands of current college students, labor leaders, and university professors are begging for now. And to put those numbers in perspective, consider that there are just over 11 million people in the entire state of Ohio. There are members of the intellectual elite in America right now, within the circle of associates that surround the President willingly who also believe as Stalin and Mao have, and are willing to destroy American lives to facilitate their version of social reform, because their focus is not on the individual lives of American citizens, but on the “collective body” of America as a whole, where sacrifice is acceptable as “collateral damage.”
What all the mass deaths have in common in the world is communism as the fundamental political intention. While American citizens will laugh at the idea that their lives could ever be infected with such concerns they do not see the phantom threat that is right in front of their faces—communism is alive and well in the United States and it is thriving in our public schools and our government, and it is a significant threat to the capitalism that built the America we all consider to be unsinkable.
At this site I have covered many statistics which indicate that the United States economy has been deliberately sabotaged by communist sympathizers working in our government. This is not a far-fetched notion, as President Obama is in love with communism. His policies are publicly sold as socialism disguised under the term “progressive” but he governs like a communist reminiscent of Lenin paving the way for a future Stalin. Knowing how these extreme progressives think, I do not find it far-fetched to believe they wish to repeat history in America by subterfuging capitalism with communism. Such insurrections always mean death to those who don’t accept communism so by looking at history and studying the policies of our current government, it is not at all a reach to understand what Alex Jones is trying to bring to public awareness. Such thoughts are not convenient, but they are a reality.
The protection is gone America. You have communists who are ready to wipe capitalism off the face of the earth functioning in our highest offices. You have politicians who have stolen so much money from the public treasury that they will abandon their American loyalty to avoid prison sentences in a moment. And we have highly motivated enemies all over the world licking their chops to see America fall from grace so they can rise to power in the void left behind. Make no mistake about it dear reader. There are sinister people right now planning your death. They have the ability to lie to your face because they do not believe in your God, so they can look into the camera and lie. Placing their hands on a Bible means nothing when the content of the symbol lacks meaning to them so sincerity even under such oath is negligible. And these people do hate Americans. In their minds, destroying capitalism is the same as eradicating a devil in the eyes of a devil. The battle ground is truly formed along a line of ideology, and adopting their way will not save your life. They will still try to kill you even if you decide to play nicely. The “they” in this case are all the radicals of the world who wish to see capitalism wiped from the earth. They hate capitalism to such an extent that they will do anything to remove it from their eyes, so the guilt of their own ineptitude doesn’t drown them in sorrow.
There will come a day when the meaning of those coffins will become known, and on that day, you better know what you’re willing to do to preserve your life. If you choose today to eradicate socialism and its roots of communism from your life, you stand a chance of not having to deal with those coffins. But if you let the enemy any closer, there will come a day when every one of those coffins and more are filled with the bodies of your friends and neighbors, and you will wish you had more courage when it really counted and cared less about what Kobe Bryant did in last nights basketball game.
I was so angry with so many people over the attempt to eliminate me from the political scene by the progressive education funding apologists that I had made a decision to turn up the heat even more and get personal in the levy fights at Lakota–so I called my political enemies “latte sipping prostitutes” and described how and why which became all the rage in Cincinnati. I had made a decision to break away from the orthodox approach and get even nastier since it became evident that the Lakota school system did not respect the wishes of the voting public and were positioning themselves for a fourth levy attempt, so I didn’t even listen to the interview I did for Scott Sloan’s show on 700 WLW during his morning program, which was very controversial, and difficult for me personally. It was strange to be referred to as a sexist, a woman-hater, and an activist on the same rhetorical level as a “Wall Street Occupier” making the interview shown below one of the most difficult I’ve ever given. In the interview at one point Scott stated that I had weakened my argument by yelling louder than the pro levy factions. But I didn’t agree. I yelled louder than my political enemies for the same reason a parent yells over screaming, disrespectful children—to get their attention and let them know that their behavior is intolerable. The pro levy people attempted to take my very targeted comments and apply them to all women of the world—especially Lakota, because it diffuses the attention away from the groups I had in mind. It’s an old strategy that has worked to advance many radical agendas over the years, and it was surreal to find myself involved in the middle one. But deep inside I knew I was saying what everyone was already thinking—but dared not speak for fear of ridicule—such as what I experienced during this very difficult interview. I knew as I hung up the phone that most people understood what was happening by the way the Enquirer article was quoted, the way that it aligned itself as a paper with the public relations intentions of the Lakota school system. I knew my supporters would see this event as the political assassination attempt that it was. I knew such an attempt had been in the works for quite a long time, and that it was initiated by a sitting school board member to eliminate me from the political scene. I knew that other school board members were attempting to break bread with my friends at No Lakota Levy to soften our resolve against their reckless financial proposals. And I also knew that financially strong community advocates were putting serious pressure on several business owners through the Lakota school district to weaken their stance supporting No Lakota Levy. That pressure gave rise to the scholarship foundation mentioned in the interview which was not expected by the pro levy groups at Lakota and set off a violent reaction which prompted this character assassination attempt against me. The hard-core levy supporters who were the targets of my comments knew that if I were involved in taking away their extortion measures with a positive community campaign that they would lose their stranglehold on the district so they came after me with all guns blazing.
But you never quite know who is on your side until you face a crisis, and as Scott and I parted ways after that interview I had a sense of where the weak links were on my side quickly, and I had to decide to completely rebuild my efforts alone. Given the way the Cincinnati media quickly piled up against me biting down on the hook cast into the water by the pro levy, pro union, progressive feminists, it appeared that I would be fighting in the future differently—which I was prepared to do. So I didn’t listen to the interview, or read the paper, and haven’t now for over a month.
But something unexpected happened almost immediately following my interview with Scott Sloan. People were pulling me aside, men and women, and were—thanking me. At first it was just a couple of bold personalities who I thought were just trying to encourage me not to give up the fight, which was never in danger anyway. But from their perspective, they were concerned. In the days after, leading all the way up to yesterday—at gas pumps, restaurants, meetings, community events—there have been many people who have personally came up to me and thanked me for speaking on their behalf against “the mob” as they termed it. So many people approached me in the weeks that followed with such statements that I decided if 100 people came to me and thanked me for my very aggressive comments lambasting the pro levy government education supporters then I’d go back and listen to the Scott Sloan broadcast and post it here on Overmanwarrior’s Wisdom.
Yesterday I heard from my 100th person, a man who told me that it was about time that someone stand up to those cackling hens who think they can cheerlead all of society right down the crapper. I will admit that these comments were relieving, because you just never know. I knew my comments would get attention, which is why I made them, but I wasn’t sure they would be successful solidifying how many people really feel about being openly scammed by progressive social engineers attempting to do to our communities what they do on the national stage.
In fact it was a woman who told me just a few hours after my interview with Scott Sloan that I said 90% of what everyone already thought and that she knew I didn’t mean all women when I made my statements. She recognized that the targets of my comments had no other defense but to attempt to pull all women into their quicksand just as they’ve done over the entire feminist movement. The man yesterday told me that the “bitches had it coming” and he hoped that I would continue to call those progressive terrorists out by name as I did in the interview above.
What these pro levy people, and progressive activists don’t know is something that I only suspected at the beginning of that Scott Sloan interview—was that millions upon millions of people are frustrated and tired of the crying diatribes that many progressive activists use to advance their cause. In the case at Lakota it’s the radical mothers who are in the minority but seem unable to isolate their protective instincts from the logic of reason regarding funding decisions that affect the entire community—young and old alike. The radicals of my community are not unlike the racial radicals in Florida who want Zimmerman crucified to solve some social ill they are trying to advance in yet another progressive platform using the unfortunate death of a black child as their launch pad. Nobody in the media calls them progressives parasites for using a grieving family as a key to manipulating an entire society, but most reasonable Americans can see the sham for what it is—but they are taught by society to keep their comments to themselves otherwise they will be attacked—like I was.
I have spoken to many more hundreds, if not thousands of anti-levy supporters who are truly scared to speak out in public because they do not want the wrath of the activists to publicly humiliate them or their children. In the last campaign there were a lot of emails and personal correspondence where people showed their support of No Lakota Levy but did not want a sign in their yard because they were afraid they’d become targets by the radicals in our community who will stop at nothing to extort more money from the public to satisfy their unrelenting appetites for safety, security, and as much money as possible to throw at their children hoping it will overcompensate for their parental inadequacies. And a selfish labor force of union employees is all too willing to exploit this naive group of activists to loot more money for themselves. The rest of the community is far more experienced in business and in raising families and we can only shake our heads at the sheer stupidity of the whole scam. So when a person like me says what everyone is already thinking, it’s a feeling of relief, not shame that is the dominate emotion.
I had been keeping a count since March 15th of these people who thanked me, and the best one was last week, number 94. I was getting gas and a car pulled up across the pump from me. It was a Lexus and a businessman got out, someone who looked to me like he had children in the district and was a pro levy type of supporter. I noticed he kept looking at me as he pumped his gas–as if he were working up the courage to speak to me. As I finished up and was getting back on my bike, he stopped pumping and approached me. “Excuse me, but are you Rich Hoffman?”
“Yes I am,” I replied.
He smiled as though relieved. “I have wanted to contact you for a while now—I just want to say—thank you.”
I smiled as he shook my hand. “For what?”
“For putting those God damn, bitches in their place. For striking back at those Lakota Fu**kers and standing up for the rest of us the way you do. What you said took serious balls.”
I was shocked to hear him talk this way at a gas pump in the early morning before most people even had a cup of coffee. And he didn’t look like the type of person who would use such language. He was very animated. “Thanks,” was the only thing I could think to say. I looked at his hand and saw he wore a wedding band. “Does your wife share your beliefs?”
“She was the one who told me about you. She reads your blog every single night before she comes to bed. She’s very much a fan.”
“Well, that’s good to hear. You have no idea,” I replied.
Our conversation evolved into many other topics centering on his family and Lakota. He railed on about how high the taxes were and how dangerous it was for a small group of levy supporters to have so much manipulative power over a community of over 100,000 residents. We both agreed that it is done through extortion and force.
He left in his Lexus as I put my weather gear back on for my motorcycle ride feeling good inside. It is always good to hear when people see through the games being played to the essence of a situation. In this case, I had thought the man would be a levy supporter, not a guy on my side of politics. So he surprised me. In the wake of the March 15th broadcast on 700 WLW I learned that my frustration spoke on behalf of many thousands if the sample of 100 could be such an indicator. If 100 people went out of their way to tell me how they felt, there are no doubt 10 for every one of them who thought about approaching me, but didn’t. I like that math, and more than that, it is nice to see people finding their courage and beginning to call these progressive terrorists what they really are.
For too long we’ve all been too polite, too sensitive, too lack-luster. We admire characters in movies and TV shows that act boldly in their lives, but we find often we chastise the behavior in real life. And the enemies of America know we have this tendency, so they openly exploit our weakness with social terrorism. The way to counter that terrorism is with doses of it back in their direction. If the weapons they use are peer pressure manipulation through name calling and attacks on social and economic status in an effort to control political behavior, then it can work against them also. After trying everything else but that strategy I decided to turn up the heat and throw back at the social terrorists of my community the type of rhetoric they had been dishing out using my own special flare. I told those levy supporters what I thought about them. I was honest. And honesty is not something that we should ever apologize for. Sometimes it might hurt what we say and think, sometimes we might feel the situation wrongly, but the exchange of dialogue is necessary and when reason is not the governing factor, then fire must be fought with fire. In a raging inferno, water just evaporates to mist. That is what happens to the facts we present in the school levy fights. They come out of the hose cool, but the raging tempers of the estrogen driven radicals confusing biological protection for their young with endless financial justification for ever higher taxes becomes nullified at the point of attack—so a new strategy must be utilized.
For those 100 supporters over the last month who have given me that much-needed support, I thank you. It is hard to do anything that goes against the norm, especially when the strategy of your political enemies is to handcuff criticism of their actions with political correctness. This has taken away the ability of people to call things what they actually are. So when I decided to call the situation as I saw it, there was a risk that I might do what Scott Sloan suggested and that is lose supporters and validity in my arguments. And on that day as I hung up the phone I wondered if I had crossed the line. But over the last month, I realized that I hadn’t—that my descriptive terms were deserved, and appreciated by many people who feel run over by a process that can only be described as tyrannical. Fights like this one are not won by playing nicely while the other party kicks at your knees or groin. To win these fights you have to be willing to play every bit as dirty as they are—even harder. Because they have shown that they will not listen to reason, that they do not respect the opinions of the community majority, and will stop at nothing to satisfy their internal neurosis. So to the magic 100, thank you for letting me know you thought I did the right thing. It means a lot.
In September of 2011 at a No Lakota Levy group meeting I told our members that after this next campaign they should search among themselves for another spokesman who could change up the message if Lakota decided to go for fourth levy attempt in 2012. I suggested this for two reasons—first Doc Thompson and I had covered about every aspect of public school funding issues on 700 WLW, and had gathered nearly 20 hours of audio recordings featured here at my Overmanwarrior’s Wisdom site and the message was feeling tired. My hope was that a new face might be able to recharge the campaign efforts to match the musical chairs the Lakota school system utilizes in their campaign efforts. It makes me very proud to see that over the fall of 2011 into the winter of 2012 that No Lakota Levy has three such fresh minded spokesman to pick from on the next campaign. Second—I told our group at No Lakota Levy that I had a new book coming out in the summer of 2012, and that it would require most of my attention. While I would be doing national media events and press obligations, I did not want to be distracted with local political issues, and that I needed a break. Like I told them, writing is how I make a living, and my last book was in 2004, so it was time for me to pay some more bills with my next book that had been three years in the making, which of course they all understood.
A few weeks later I was speaking at a Lakota event with school board members Linda O’Conner and Ray Murray and I told them about my plans in 2012 involving my book. I told them that if this fall levy goes down that they better not think of putting on another one because I would be busy in 2012. When indications from Lakota were the same old games leaning toward a new school levy attempt, I decided to end my spokesman position with No Lakota Levy with a bang, instead of a whimper, because a whimper might send the wrong message to the community if I just backed out and let someone else from No Lakota Levy take over while I went to work promoting my new book. So having a much more colorful ending as spokesman fulfilled many of the strategy needs I had and more importantly allowed me to put my energy into the release of my new novel, Tail of the Dragon. My political enemies assumed that No Lakota Levy was paying me to be some sort of lobbyist and that if we were separated, then my work at this site would go away, and I would be removed from the political scene. However, what my political enemies didn’t know was that I always operated Overmanwarrior’s Wisdom as a news feed for not just No Lakota Levy, but levy fighting groups all over America. In fact I have daily readers in Europe and Australia, so my levy work has always been separate from my spokesman role for No Lakota Levy. Also, once 700 WLW decided to take more of a middle of the road approach to their broadcasts, there wasn’t as much need for my work in that fashion. And like Doc Thompson and I joked about just the other day—how much more could we say? People by now realize that the public school funding situation is a complete joke that is dominated by labor unions who are clearly not out for the “children.” So it was time to change things around a bit, and it was my chance to make some fireworks.
But that does not mean that I won’t fight the next levy attempts. I will still do as I have below, write and contribute articles exposing what is wrong with the situations surrounding public education, and I’ll do it in the same fashion as I have before. What I needed freedom from regarding No Lakota Levy was the straight jacket of being spokesman for a larger group. I found I could not maintain that confining position while at the same time putting on my sales hat to promote my novel. The two roles are just too opposed to one another that I didn’t feel I could commit myself in the same fashion as I had on the previous three levy attempts.
But rest assured, there will still be daily articles here at Overmanwarrior’s Wisdom, and I will give media interviews when needed. No Lakota Levy should be able to perform those tasks without me, but if I need to I will happily contribute to the next public debate over school levies as I have in the past. In fact the letter below is just an example of such contributions that appeared in the April 19th Pulse Journal. So levy fighters don’t worry, there is more resistance now than there was before and I will not stop doing what I’ve done all along. But while I am working on a national campaign for my new novel, it is disingenuous and overly confining to represent a group of people who simply want to keep themselves from being raked over the coals with tax increases. And also, I need the ability to call my political enemies latté sipping prostitutes. That’s important to me………………..I get tired of all that touchy, feely hand-shaking crap.

Another graduating class at Lakota will be leaving as the school year comes to a close. Doing a bit of math, it appears that Lakota will have nearly 1000 students leaving our facilities this year and in the years to come. That means Lakota will have declining enrollment for possibly the next two decades since the real estate growth has peaked in our community. That should take the pressure off the budget deficit considerably. That is good news.
But there are still calls by some to push another school levy even with this knowledge of declining enrollment. And to pave the way for a new levy there have been calls for me to apologize to the various PTA groups over things I said about them as evidence of this new levy push emerged. But what hasn’t been discussed was the reason for the anger.
If Lakota had proposed a tax and respected the votes of the people the first couple of attempts, the tension now wouldn’t be so high. But when there are members of the PTA groups and other pro levy factions who actively sought to boycott businesses and bring coercion to individuals they know voted against the school levies to “persuade” them to vote differently on the next attempt, then we’re not talking about simple politics anymore, we’re talking about something much more serious. If an election can’t be won without vandalism, coercion and media domination, then someone should probably check to see if they’re on the right side of things. Yet the only avenue explored besides drastic, punishing cuts, has been tax increases disrespecting the will of the voters over three elections so far.
Lakota should be able to balance its budget with fewer enrollments unless they do something reckless like give all their employees raises just for breathing air, which they might actually try, but not until 2014. If they do attempt another levy, I can promise a much more “colorful” campaign against them than they’ve seen up to this point, because this is getting ridiculous. The path of Little Miami is not the correct one.
The criticism abounds toward the creation of No Lakota Levy’s new group, where our tax fighting organization is helping to pay part of the school fees for kids struggling to come up with the money to play the sport of their choice. The critics say, “Why can’t ‘they’ also pay for kids in music, what about special needs kids, what about kids who need sign language? Why don’t they just pay the tax so we can have everything? What about busing? Why are ‘they’ so selfish?”
When these critics are talking about “they” it is the members of No Lakota Levy they are talking about, and our choice to pick sports as the object we would help fund because its programs like football, track, and baseball that carry the public image for a community, and that is what we are seeking to heal. $10,000 dollars is a heck of a lot of money to come up with to help kids which comes directly from people’s pockets. But the behavior of those critics is what articulates correctly the scope of the problem we are dealing with in regard to school funding, and in a greater regard, the funding of every program created under the umbrella of The Great Society, or The New Deal.
The lack of appreciation from these critics speaks that they have no scope, or understanding of the world around them. They are the classic examples of “EVADERS.” Evaders are people who chose openly to ignore the conditions of reality. They tend to use terms in sentences such as “I wish” instead of “it is.” They make a daily practice of evading reality. An example of this, which will upset greatly my Christian readers, is in the concept of religion. No matter what the faith, religion is an act of evasion. We ask our minds to accept on faith the concept of our version of God without any proof. We might read the Bible and declare that we will take it word for word as fact without any proof. This is an act of evasion, of evading reality in favor of a belief. This is why religion is such a volatile aspect of human existence. There are a lot of religions all of whom believe that their version of reality is correct, and they are willing to die to defend their version. This makes sense from their point of view because if their illusion of reality is stripped away from them, then they have no foundations upon which to exist, so they defend their religious views with much vigor, even without evidence to support their views.
The trouble with evasion is that once human beings open their mind to it once, for one thing in their lives, then they have a tendency to open it for all things. Again, when we are speaking of evasion we are talking about suspending logic in favor of blind belief. We are accepting facts that are not grounded in reality, but upon a belief founded upon wishes of how reality should be.
These are the people who typically make up the pro levy supporter base, and on a national level support President Obama’s notion that all things in government can be fixed with tax increases. And of course the easy target is always the “rich” because most people aren’t wealthy, so the target of reality is always on some horizon out of reach maintaining the illusions of the evaders. However, the evaders can only maintain their illusions if they deny the facts of the world around them, so they do not understand how business connects to residents, they do not conceive how their actions might put the corner coffee shop out of business because of high taxes because they are practicing evasion. These same people chose not to look at the senior citizens of a community who is locked in a fixed income, because the residents are practicing evasion in that aspect also, because the senior citizen represents “old age” which is something many middle-agers seek desperately to forget about. So they “evade” the reality of their own existence because in the back of their minds, they know their religions have provided them little truth and they fear what the truth of their own deaths might bring them in the future. So they evade the facts of old age by putting their parents in retirement communities and avoiding eye contact with them at the grocery store, because those senior citizens are facing immanent death, and can no longer evade reality.
A person asked me the other day why so many “gray hairs” were in the Tea Party movement. After all weren’t many of these people hippies during the 60’s era? The answer is that as time goes on, and life runs out, people can no longer evade truth. They tend to pick a religion and stick to it gathering as many facts as they can and root what they can’t prove into a general morality centered on goodness. Because goodness is a truth that extends beyond the reach of any religion and is generally agreed upon, so it’s universal, and senior citizens tend to base their religious lives not on silly facts written in a book, but on the concept of goodness. They do this because evasion will not help them at their age. There is no more tomorrow, there is only now and things must be fixed today.
Unfortunately pro levy supporters are at the beginning of this process. They have all the time in the world—they still have their kids to raise and then they have their retirement ages in front of them, so they have time to catch up in their minds all the aspects of reality that they are evading. And they are aware they are doing this. They drink, watch TV and pursue material wealth to help them evade their reality. These are the people who think there are no limits to taxes so long as they can get what they want. They don’t care how they get it; they only know what they want because they have evaded the conditions of the world outside of their perceptions distorted in the process of evasion.
People like Saul Alisnky whom the labor unions have used to help them hijack vast amounts of personal wealth, advance a progressive political agenda, and create legislation like what Lakota is suffering from, have used this science to their advantage. It is because of labor unions and their manipulations that a school board can only deal with 20% of its costs due to aggressive union contracts that have money guaranteed to its members from the community. They achieved this by playing on the human tendency of evasion, particularly those who are in the middle of their child rearing years, to use emotional arguments based on evasion techniques instead of reality. This leaves school boards with only extortive measures to utilize, such as cutting busing, sports, electives, and new teaching positions. The unions let the school boards take the entire public outcry while they hide in the shadows like cowards maintaining their evasive illusions, and that’s exactly what’s happening at Lakota. My anger at the school board is in their defending such a structure because they are guilty of evasion themselves. They know they have no real power to control their costs, yet they don’t reveal that to the community. That’s how they become union stooges. All the participants in this game are guilty of evasion. The school board in believing that they can just pass another school levy to give them the illusion of control, the unions in believing that if they just tax the “rich” more they can have infinitely high wages with great benefits and summers off and nobody will suffer. And the parents whose children attend the school believe the members of the community “owe” them a “sacrifice” so their children can become wonderful citizens while the parents pursue their own illusions of professional evasion.
This evasion process culminated late last week when superintendent Mantia told one or our members of No Lakota Levy that the Lakota School District’s legal team instructed them that the school board had no power to regulate their wages, that it was considered illegal. This is because of the wording of the union contract negotiated in the summer of 2011 where the teachers agreed to a wage freeze and elimination of their step increases. School Board President Dibble backed up Mantia’s statement in writing reiterating that sentiment. As I heard this news I thought, “Finally, they are at least admitting they are not in control. That’s the first step in grasping reality.” And I think that’s good, and I do not fault the school board members for such an admission. I only get angry when I see them evading reality. But the reality is they are powerless to the union machine, and they are finally admitting it in public.
The critics of No Lakota Levy have said to us directly and about us publicly that “The teachers have agreed to a pay freeze. They took a step forward.” I have said back both directly and publicly that it wasn’t enough, because it didn’t balance their budget. Those who participate in evasion believe that they are entitled to something I have, and believe that negotiations place them on equal footing with me and my friends in No Lakota Levy. It does not. The members of the union who constructed the labor contract which is dismantling our local government school of Lakota believe that they have given something, but they are not in a position to offer anything of equal value. It is the community that must give, and to the union members they can only receive. They have in their minds the evasion of reality and believe that their jobs are worth infinite amounts of money, and people who are also evaders tend to believe such a thing because they do not place value on jobs, people or ideas based on reality, but on their wishes.
But in reality, the world I live in, and the world of my friends in No Lakota Levy and the 18,000 voters who voted three times to defeat further taxes, we have sent a clear message that our value for their services have exceeded their worth and no more taxes will be tolerated. That message was given in realty, but the ears that need to hear it are practicing evasion, and as long as this continues, there will be a school district that will struggle, parents will be upset, and children will miss opportunities. But the villains are not those who say NO to further taxes, it is the evaders themselves who have allowed their lack of reality to control the world around them with neglect. In their minds people like me might be “evil,” “greedy,”and “selfish,” but such thoughts are only wishes and not grounded in reality. The opinions of those who evade responsibility of thought have no value in the realm of ideas. And their credibility will not be endorsed with time, and money since their thoughts cannot grasp reality, let alone the maneuvers available to move within it. Lakota is failing as a district, and the nation is failing as a country because of evaders, and their inability, or courage to face reality.
And that problem is a problem specific to the evaders, not the people who take the responsibility to live in reality. Ultimately it is the practice of evasion that makes people and their children suffer. It is this reality that the “EVADERS” are hiding from, and why our community is suffering.
I certainly understand the tendency for parents to believe that they must send their children to public school in order to be a good parent. After all, our current culture has instructed us through those same government schools that going to a publicly run school is important to our lives. So I support my local public school grudgingly even though I believe that home schooling is far superior to public school. My kids went to public school. They attended Mason for the first half of the school lives, and then they graduated from Lakota. But for one year in between those transfers they were home schooled by my wife, and I think that was the most important year of their lives. It was hard at the time, and the choice was difficult. The decision to pull our kids out of school came from a battle over sex education in the fourth grade that we disagreed with. The school retaliated at our lack of “consensus.” My wife had been a room mom and helped the teachers three times a week and loved it. She dedicated enormous amounts of her time to not just my kids, but my kid’s classmates, which is how it is supposed to be.
But the school could not tolerate our family’s position against the sex education policies as they feared more parents might follow our rebellion, so they went after us in an aggressive way as a family, which was a really bad idea on their behalf. The school let my wife know that she was no longer welcome to be a room mom and my kids became targeted by bullies as soon as my wife was no longer in the building. That decision by the school led to unnecessary violence and a lot of hurt people climaxing in a fight between me and 22 teenage boys in front yard of our house.
The boys were encouraged by teachers in the school to pick on my kids and the police took the side of the teachers because of the union “brotherhood” which led to the massive fight. The boys made it so my kids could not ride their bikes on the sidewalk in front of our home, openly challenging us to a confrontation. And I was not going to allow my children to be bullied by a bunch of rough-looking 10th, 11th and 12th grade Mason students. It is now a family joke that when the movie Gran Torino came out a few years ago, it was that last role by Clint Eastwood that reminded them of life in our house during that time, because I was at war with the entire neighborhood. Instead of being an old man at the end of my life like Eastwood was in that film, I was a young thirty something that seemed oddly misplaced among others in my age group who preferred to just keep the window curtains pulled and do what the thugs told them to. Instead I dug down and was in constant confrontation everyone which can be most closely explained in the clips below, which is why this film is a personal family joke.
The fight was unexpected. The calculation was that like every other family we would stay inside our locked up house and hide from the scary teenage boys. They didn’t think I would go outside and confront the mob with my bullwhips and fight them squarely because many of them were under aged, only a few were over 18. But that’s what I did and it caused quite a ruckus that lasted for an entire year and involved the police force of Mason all the way up to the chief of police. But this whole mess started in our kid’s elementary school and I finally convinced my wife that the best way to teach our kids was to home school them, so we pulled them out of school, and that caused our entire family to turn on us. So not only did the community turn on us but our family did as well. In that year we learned that there wasn’t anyone we could trust but ourselves. And that was the year that my kids learned more than any other, and most notably shaped them into the adults they now are. During that trying time I heard every one of the points that Glenn Beck discussed here from his GBTV episode on home schooling. He is 100% right! My family has been there and done it and can testify completely to what he is saying.
Now in hindsight, with my kids both grown and living their lives I can say honestly that I wish we had done home schooling for more than a year. Both of my kids finished their high schools with online courses and nearly two years early, because they wanted to travel and see the world, which is what they did. When their peers in school were graduating high school and getting their diplomas my kids were touring the London Museum of History and taking pictures of Big Ben. They followed the path of their mother who also left school early after her credits were finished. By the time my wife’s graduating class was putting on their robes to graduate she was married to me and we were on a cross-country trip traveling anywhere fast at over 100 MPH. Out of my core family I’m the only one who actually walked the stage in a robe with my friend Hickory who I’ve stated here sold his Honors Society Robe to a fellow student for a hundred bucks. My wife and I have lived very full lives and the whole graduation experience seems petty and stupid to us compared to other things we’ve done, and we would have done our kids a better service if we had home schooled them earlier and for more years.
I always viewed public education as education propaganda. It started for me in kindergarten. My teacher was an idiot and I remember thinking that at the time. My mom was always very active in my life and she like my wife was a room mom who took care of not just me, but my class mates. I remember watching lots of movies with my mom and know for a fact that I learned more from watching movies and documentaries with her and spending time around my grandparents than anything I learned in school.
Public school always felt like a waste of time. I spent most of my time getting into trouble with the teachers, getting into fights with other students, or drawing on my papers and writing stories. The art teachers and English teachers tried to capture my talent and steer me and I shut them all out. If I had listened to those teachers it’s quite likely I would be working for a newspaper somewhere as a reporter making a fraction of what I make now, and I wouldn’t be about to release my second novel. That’s not a knock against my reporter friends who read here every day, but they know it’s the truth. Advice is only as good as the person who gives it, and I wanted no advice from a teacher who worked for public education because I saw no value in their job. I felt that way as a child and I feel more strongly than ever as an adult. To me teachers were mind numb soldiers for something I wanted nothing to do with. I did not want them to impose on me the limits of their thinking.
When my kids were 5 and it came time for enrollment my mother was especially concerned when she heard my wife and me arguing about getting my oldest daughter ready for school. My wife enjoyed school until she met me, and saw nothing wrong with it. For her it was a bench mark, a natural progression to adulthood. For me it was like sending my kids to a death camp of propaganda. There was never a question that I was always radically independent compared to others around me, so I bent on my position because my entire family thought I was the one who was wrong. Of course as it turned out, I was the only one who was right. But you live and learn.
I told my daughter before she got on the school bus for the first time not to worry, that I’d deprogram her when she got home. Of course at age 5 my wife thought my daughter wouldn’t remember me saying that but at age 22 she still does, and luckily she listened to what I said. Now after all those years of raising our kids and seeing all the problems up close I was excessively right at age 25 about the intention of public education. The goal is not to make the best and brightest. It is to make kids average. Home schooled kids do better even with parents teaching them because those parents care about making their kids exceptional, and setting the bar high makes the children respond accordingly. That’s what’s missing in public education, it’s the expectation level.
Home schooling as an option is good because it brings competitive forces to public education and forces them to adjust their costs. Teachers are not worth 50K to 60K per year when they produce such complacent results next to the home schooled child taught by a parent with maybe only a high school education or college at best. Having home schooling as an option helps break up the monopoly of public education which is the intention of the government-run schools, it always has been. I knew it when I was a kid, even if I didn’t know why. I knew it when I was raising my own kids. And I know it now. My kids have had much improved lives because most of their socializing occurred outside of public education. They have done more in their first 25 years than most of their classmates will do in their first 50 and that’s a real shame. Social limits in life are started in public education. The chains are placed upon a child’s mind in government-run schools and I am even surer of it now than I was when I was younger. When I was a young man, I only had a feeling about it. Now I have facts.
There hasn’t been one day that my wife has woke up and wished she went to her graduation ceremony. She doesn’t ever feel like she missed something, because the activities we were doing were much larger in scope of experience. But many of the family that ridiculed us for home schooling our kids used those experiences in public education as bench marks of social development, getting a class ring, a jacket, and a cap and gown. It turned out that those family members were still stuck in some perpetual 15-year-old mentality and even at age 40 and 50 years old looked fondly back to their high school days with yearning. And I think that’s pathetic.
I outgrew public education within two weeks of starting kindergarten. My wife outgrew it at age 17. My kids did by second grade. The rest of the way they learned most of their information from me and their mom at home. They whizzed through school and were routinely on the honor role every single year, because it was easy for them, because I set the bar high at home. Public education is simply a bad product. It’s a failed social experiment and needs complete reform. It certainly doesn’t need additional funding. It needs less, and it needs competition to keep it honest, and all the unions should be made illegal. Unions have no place in public education.
Look at the mighty billboard advertising Lakota Tomahawk football and cheerleading registration. Doesn’t it look expensive? Considering these types of extracurricular activities are now pay to play sports at Lakota because of the levy failures, the advertising of on this billboard seems misleading, even audacious. That is because anyone can see the hypocrisy just in looking at that billboard. The Lakota School System needs its sports programs to keep busy parents occupied on something easily measured like sports to justify the extraordinary cost of public education. Sports unite a community under school pride that causes regular thinking people to forgive many of the flaws inherit in any school system where education methods simply fall short most of the time to the expected results.
But even deeper than that, the government schools know that they need parents to buy into the pride of their sporting programs because it is a proven formula into gaining additional revenue. Mike Brown mastered this art when he constructed his stadium deal with Hamilton County in the mid 90’s which have led to nearly bankrupting the city of Cincinnati today, even though the warnings were sounded by many beforehand. Cincinnati did not want their Bengals to leave for another city, so they did whatever they had to do to make Mike Brown happy.
Labor unions and school boards have figured out that the same formula works in their education institutions for obtaining additional taxes. They use sports and a parents pride in their child’s participation to increase their budgets and obtain increased wages and benefits for the employees. It’s a nice little sleight-of-hand that has been going on for many years now. Parents have shown they will support higher taxes to give their children an opportunity to be a part of a winning team, or even the possibility of a scholarship.
The other side of this issue is that once the school marketing has successfully created in the mind of the parents and the community the need for sports to fill the community newspapers, the school sports programs are part of the cultural significance of an entire district. This of course gives schools leverage over voters when it comes time to ask for increases in taxes, because the community overwhelmingly wants sports from the schools to entertain them. For many parents it is more fun to root for the kids in their neighborhood rather than those at a professional level, because they can relate to the local athletes. So if a school like Lakota does not get their funds, they can then make the sports programs pay-for-play programs, which is just a fancy way of extorting the public into voting in favor of higher taxes. This is where Lakota is. They want parents to sign up their children into sports programs and they’ll spend the money on a sign to advertise the openings, then they’ll turn right around and demand $500 per sport for a child to play. What gets missed in the discussion is that the employees of the district are already being paid an average salary of $63k per year and many of the teachers would happily donate their time so that the kids could be coached. And uniforms and other costs are already covered by other fees that the parents must commit to. And at football games there is admission revenue, concessions and other streams of money that come back from the community and go to the school. So why the $500 fees? Where does it go and who gets it?
The fees are to force a community to pass a levy, to increase the taxes on their property and its raw extortion that is very destructive to the sustainability of neighborhoods everywhere. Such a practice is incredibly short-sighted and brings to question the merit of the entire educational institution when reason cannot be seen by them, yet they insist they are qualified to teach our children.
Darryl Parks of 700 WLW and I have been at this levy fighting thing for a long time. He is currently gearing up his fight against the Forest Hills Levy in his district. One of the great fights of our time is the realization that we have seen what tax increases do. We’ve seen over time what tax increases have done to Cincinnati Public, Reading, Princeton, Mt. Healthy, and Fairfield, those with means and money move away. Currently the wealth band of affluence is around the I-275 loop most notably Sycamore, Mason and of course Lakota. Darryl and I know that this trend will last for a few short years and once taxes become too great, residents who now have grown children will simply move on to a cheaper home that is taxed at a lower rate. This brings down the demand for homes since a disproportionate amount of homes hit the market in a given area as average home values decrease.
Growing up, I used to work on Chester Road just down the road from Princeton High School. That was the days when many of the Reds players lived on the west side and in Blue Ash, so Chester Road was the main strip in all of Cincinnati. It was where everything happened. Restaurants like the Wind Jammer and Bombay Bicycle club where the destination dinning centers in the city and I was right in the middle of it. Because of all this Princeton City School dominated sports as many involved parents made their home around the Princeton District to be near this hot spot of activity. Today Princeton has an average per pupil cost of $15K per student and it’s a district in decline simply because many of the successful home owners have moved away and now reside in Lakota and Mason. Today Chester Road in Sharonville is only a slim reminder of what it once was, a victim of high taxes that push away property owners and businesses.
The church I always attended all through my life in Fairfield used to be the heart of community. Playboy Magazine in the 80’s listed Fairfield as having the most attractive high school girls in the country because it was a rising star of economic activity–so attractive, successful parents moved to Fairfield to be near the great schools and great shopping on RT. 4. My church always had lots of very attractive girls looking for a date, and had a very active youth group that was mainstream back then. Most of the kids who went to Fairfield High School went to church because the girls had to be home around midnight on a Saturday to get enough sleep to go to church the next day. When you picked up a girl for a date you had to meet the parents. There were always two of them, as a divorced woman alone in a big home was still not considered normal. So in other words, there was a culture in Fairfield that aimed to produce some sort of quality in the family unit.
I went back to that church a few weeks ago and there was no youth. All that was left were gray hairs from my parent’s generation. The nice homes 20 years ago now had public housing residents filling them with single mothers caring for two to three children per home and those kids weren’t going to church. The culture in and around that church was dying and all you had to do to see it was look at it in the parking lot of the old church. It was spreading like a disease.
The reason I brought up Darryl is because he was speaking to a neighbor of his earlier in the week and they reported they were moving, because of the Forest Hills levy request. Darryl is dealing with the microcosm of his neighbor leaving which is similar to what communities are dealing with in the macrocosm. When we fight these tax levies we are not trying to hurt kids, hurt the schools or the parents who move to these districts to attend the great schools. We are fighting to keep the costs low so that the cancerous destruction that we’ve seen happen in our lifetimes does not destroy our own homes and the communities they reside in. It is not our fault if the types of people who so easily vote themselves tax increases don’t understand the basics of economics. Or that they don’t care what happens to their communities 20 years from now because their plans are to sell their home and move any way.
Taxes do not incentivize people to stay in a community. Higher costs make them leave. It doesn’t matter if it’s a business or a residence. Anyone who governs money with a loose had and perpetually thinks that taxes can always increase is a fool who does not understand economics, and it is not the job of the wise portions of the public to give these people educations they should already have as adults. Those who believe in tax increases simply do not value money and that is a failure of their personal philosophies. They will not be allowed to destroy communities without opposition. Darryl is fighting for his community from his home district and I am from mine. I know of hundreds all across Ohio who are joining us in this endeavor, and they are all doing it for the same reason—they wish to preserve their homes and not see them destroyed by reckless tax increases initiated from a looter mindset.
The billboard in Lakota says it all. It’s an elaborate display designed to show off the wealth of the district and increase enrollment. But it’s also designed to advance the cause for further tax increases. Such a sign to me reminds me of the kind of gloating that went on in the days of Chester Road by Princeton High School, in glory days long gone, and at Fairfield. If the taxes continue to increase, the fate of all the poorer districts of Hamilton County are in the future for Lakota and it’s our responsibility as citizens to use our knowledge of history to prevent that treachery. Because without opposition, there will be more and more neighbors like the ones Darryl Parks mentioned leaving for land that is less restricted by taxes and allow the residents to keep the value of their hard-earned wealth. They won’t do it because they are mean, or selfish. They’ll do it because they are wise.
I’ll have to say that I agree with this father who saw the nasty comments his daughter put on Facebook about him and his wife. Should the father have unloaded a clip from his .45 into the laptop of his daughter for what she said about his family on Facebook? Absolutely!!!!!!!
I still get many questions as to why I do not have a Facebook account. The answer is that I think Facebook is evil, and I don’t care to participate in it. I do put a Facebook “like” button at the bottom of my posts and I see every day that hundreds of my hits come from Facebook where my readers put links to my articles on the Facebook walls to share with their friends. I recognize the upsides to having Facebook, it keeps you in easy touch with family and friends, and provides a timely status as to the activity of a person. As a matter a fact, a co-worker of mine just yesterday was trying to get a flight out of Dallas but it was delayed, so based on his Facebook page he was able to announce to everyone concerned that his flight would be later than anticipated.
But—Facebook does too much, knows too much, and tricks the user into revealing too much about themselves. About ten years ago I read a book by Jim Marrs called Rule by Secrecy. It’s a conspiracy theory book that talked about the Bilderburgers, the Rothschild’s and the One World Order type of stuff as might be expected. It also spoke about the methods the CIA and FBI were employing to attempt to put chips under everyone’s skin so they could track them easily. When I finished that book I wrote in the front, “THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS BOOK.” I meant dangerous because knowing such things can warp your view of the world and can take the mind down a rocky slope of disillusion. However, at the time of reading that book people were openly angry about the cameras that police were having put up at traffic lights calling them “big brother” and the idea of tracking people anywhere they went was still science fiction. So the CIA and many other organizations found a more subtle way to impose their will on the American and world population so to make their job much easier, they found a way to trick us into giving them all the information they’d have to spend months, perhaps years gathering and allowing our own need for voyeurism to drive a complete end to our freedoms. They put their money behind Mark Zuckerberg and allowed the program of Facebook to do all the work for them. Apparently the CIA is so in love with Zuckerberg that the Facebook founder has earned the ominous nickname from the intelligence community—the Overlord.
Now, it must be disclosed that the segment you just watched is from The Onion which is a social satire show on the Independent Film Channel, which I am a fan of. So the facts shown in that episode are rooted in reality but are not literal. For instance, I don’t think Zuckerberg is an official CIA agent. But, the billions of dollars that came his way came from somewhere and as anyone who works with money knows, “he who has the gold rules.” Zuckerberg didn’t have any money, but he had the ability to make something like Facebook which a whole army of government workers couldn’t fathom, so they took our tax money in indirect ways and gave it to Zuckerberg to purchase his alliance.
Yes—I’m aware that the CIA is reading this. The FBI is too. Go drink another coffee boys, and see if there’s another doughnut in the break room, because I could care less. I know a few agents and my assessment of them are that they are government workers, just like cops, and teachers, and I have made it pretty clear what I think of them. They have a high opinion of themselves that is not based in reality, but on the strength of their pay checks, which to me is just looted money. I don’t value their service and they don’t keep me safe. I’m perfectly capable of doing that for myself. Because of my beliefs my family has been followed, bugged, and harassed for years. It was really bad in the late 90’s up until around 2005. My wife was followed all over town by strange men in white vans. When she’d go to the grocery they’d get out and follow her around the store.
None of this ever got violent. It was just harassment. It started when we took our kids out of the Mason School System to home school them because we disagreed with the 4th grade curriculum of teaching children to put on a condom. We felt that sex education was our job, and our kids were not interested in sex in the 4th grade, so we elected not to participate. The school retaliated by trying to separate my wife from the kids during school events which my wife frequently volunteered for, so we pulled the kids out of school and taught them ourselves. It was one of the best decisions we ever made as parents.
But the social ramifications where ominous, our families turned against us in a radical way, some of that family worked for school systems as superintendents and teachers. The police began to harass our street. Neighborhood kids began to harass my children as they rode their bicycles around the neighborhood. I responded by video recording everything that happened and the police responded by recording everything we did. After a few years of this it became evident that we were recorded everywhere we went about everything we did.
The constant pressure was unsettling to my wife who treasures her freedom and privacy. We’d have conversations knowing that there were listening devices picking up on everything we said and it took her a long time to realize that the idiots on the other end of the line were just mustache men with fat bellies and inflated egos propped up with tax dollars. They were to my mind peons to my overman concept. As I explained to my wife about 10,000 times, “who cares if a fly on the wall sees or hears what we do. Who cares if they can hear us having sex? We don’t mind the dog at the end of our bed as we kick him off, why should we care about some FBI agent, or other law enforcement personnel? What is there to know about us that we don’t want them to?”
So I am aware that these days virtually nothing is private. The scanners at the airport can see through your cloths. Drones can fly outside your bedroom window. And recording devices can pick up everything you say from many yards away. This information is obtained by the cowards of the government who have turned our hard-earned money against us by stealing it from us through legalized theft and propping up citizens like Zuckerberg in the name of safety. I am not troubled that Google watches every email I send and receive. I view such things as information given in a public place. And if people want to see what I put on YouTube have at it. That’s why I posted it. Or this blog site, I put it up to share with people so they might learn something. If it was private, I’d keep it in my head where it’s safe. But Facebook crosses the line for me. It has evolved into a form of behavioral control that I reject completely. It crawls too far into people’s lives and does everything that Jim Marrs warned about in Rule by Secrecy by making people want to behave like herds of sheep, which goes against everything I personally stand for.
Because of Facebook, my extended family often knows things about other family member’s way before my wife and I do. Facebook allows for that voyeuristic tendency, that secret passion to look at what your neighbor is doing from the comfort of your own home. But it’s a trick; your behavior is being plotted and analyzed carefully. Your contacts and the entire network of your contacts are scrutinized by pot-bellied piggies on the other of a monitor. Everyone is watching each other looking for leadership. The herds of Facebook users are being watched by the herds of the government workers in the CIA and none of them have the guts to step away and be independent.
What I mean by independence is doing things in your life without looking to see what your neighbor is doing, as if reassurance is needed. It is that human need for acceptance, which causes us to look at another human being and see if they have done it first before we dare try that is the downfall of our civilization and Facebook perpetuates it by encouraging it.
This is why those who fear to stand on their own two feet and be comfortable in their own lives can be controlled by some master—an overlord if you will. In my family, it took me almost 10 years to get my wife used to the idea that she could and was watched everywhere we went. It was a trip to Cancun where all our cloths were all over the beach and a Mexican security guard patrolling the area was trying to get a peak of the action. My wife saw the behavior of voyeurism that was inherit in all human beings as we dealt with the guard. I treated the guard like he was as useless as a dog at the end of our bed. His eyes and opinion mattered about as much to me as a fly on the wall or the dog at the end of our bed. And what he said to the other dogs at the guard-house mattered as much. It didn’t matter that he had an AK-47 in his hands. Having a gun is one thing, having the courage to use it, or the knowledge, is another. After that, the unnerving sensation that we were constantly being watched and analyzed by weak-minded, fearful human beings had less impact. We had shifted gears as a couple and learned to live our lives from that perspective.
It still doesn’t make this entire tendency toward voyeurism right. It just means that my expectations for the human race must be broke down into another category. And Facebook is a good gage of that. Those who use it to spy on their friends and neighbors, or even those in law enforcement are of the “sheeple” mind-set, which is they are comfortable in the herds of human existence and can easily be steered about by the overlords like Zuckerberg and the CIA.
But these are the same idiots who couldn’t find Osama bin Ladin even though he was right in front of their faces and had a porno addiction. So much for the effectiveness of the CIA, they have been dumbed down like the rest of society to watching for the status of people on Facebook to know what is happening. I know firsthand what it feels like to be watched by these people, even targeted. And it’s no different from the spider that spins a web in the corner of your bedroom. Its eyes and ears mean nothing because it is small and harmless. I’m certainly not going to kill it for being there. I might scoop it up and take it outside if I feel like taking the time to do so, but I’m not going to avoid undressing in my bedroom because the spider can see. But I’m also not going to invite spiders into my house so that they can make a mess with a network of webs all over my bedroom, and that is what Facebook is. It’s a web of voyeuristic spiders that just clutter up your life. And since I don’t wish to be tangled in their webs, or constantly brushing them away from my skin, I keep Facebook out of my life as much as possible.
The necessity for the human being to rise past the need for social reassurance is why I look to the overman as the intended goal of our species. If being human is defined by the weakness for public acceptance than moving beyond those needs would be the definition of an overman. An overman does not worry about the overlords. They do not have power over the overman’s life. The overman does not care about the happenings of those pathetic creatures. The overmen do not care if millions of eyes are upon them everywhere they go, for it is no different in the forest where thousands of insects and the cells on the leaves of trees are aware of a human in their midst’s and they observe carefully for the sanctity of their own survival. The eyes of the CIA, the FBI, of Zuckerberg and all the rest are just that to me, the eyes of insects whose lives rise and fall by the nature of their existence. Their feeble minds are bound to imprisonment for all eternity because they are stuck in a world built by acceptance and believe that by controlling the behavior of the masses that they can ensure the survival of all. But it’s just another web built by just another spider which can be swept away in an instant at the will of the overman, and there’s nothing the spider can do about it.
And as to how Facebook is evil let me refer to the definition of evil by one of my favorite philosophers Ayn Rand from the great book Objectivism: The Philosophy of Ayn Rand. “Evil is not consistent and does not want to be consistent. What it wants is to inject itself into the life-sustaining process sometimes—short-range, out-of-context, at whim. To achieve this end, it needs only a single concession by the good: a concession of the principle involved, a concession that evil is proper “sometimes.” Such a compromise is evil’s character of liberty. Thereafter the irrational is free to set the terms and spread by further whim, until the good—and man—is destroyed.” That is what Facebook is all about. That is why it’s evil.
As it can be easily deduced by the content here, I have a colorful life that is filled with many unique characters and experiences. One such character is Nathan Ormes who has known me since I was 2 years old. In the 90’s Nathan and I fought city hall, ran all over the country involved in political activity and started a few businesses. One such business was a company called Cliffhanger Research and Development, and the primary product at that time aside from an invention called the Torque Socket Extension was a line of T-shirts that was set to compete with No Fear Gear.
Nathan and I presented our line of T-shirts to the McCormick Center in Chicago at the Imprinted Sportswear Show in 1994 and were set to establish our base of operations in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. We had a good idea that was very lucrative. My T-shirt designs were so lucrative that I often sold the shirts right off my own back, literally. The inspirational sayings on them evoked that type of emotion from people, so Nathan and I took all the money we had and went to the show in Chicago not even having enough money for a hotel room while in town. We slept in the car at the dock by Meigs airfield watching the planes take off and land all night.
We had a few offers for consignment deals, one that was very lucrative, but it basically took away our creative rights to the company which wasn’t in our best interest, so we walked away from the show with our company and our rights, but no national deal. Soon after, several law suits for other business endeavors tied up our free time and cash for years and our idea for Cliffhanger Research and Development was shelved for a while as Nathan met his current wife and moved to South Western Kentucky and we parted ways. I took the name of Cliffhanger and made a character in my first novel called The Symposium of Justice to pay tribute to our original business idea of always having ideas that pushed the edge of innovation. Cliffhanger was in my novel the personification of an OVERMANWARRIOR.
Nathan however took a different path which can be seen in these documents presented here culminating in his 15 plus year quest to pursue his own dream and make good on the Cliffhanger name. Nathan has started the Cliffhanger Ranch Adventure Outpost in Southern Virginia, deep in the heart of moonshine country to provide a retreat for Americans to take a step back in time and relish in the meaning of what traditional America is all about. Such ideas do take money, and the work below is a result of Nathan’s business plan to raise the capital, but for my readers here, I provide a peak.
For me there is nothing more wonderful than when a person refuses to take his eyes off the ball and wrestles an idea all the way to completion, and for Nathan this is a big task that has required leaping over a gauntlet of hurdles to arrive at this point in time. I am scheduled to go down there during the summer for a meet the press event where I’m going to do some whip tricks and generally create a fair amount of publicity and chaos to help launch this new endeavor. And as I prepare for that show, it brings comfort to my mind that the Cliffhanger name not only lives on in books, but also in a ranch that is dedicated to preserving America in all the fashion that it was intended.
It gives me great pride to see that my friend has made good on his promise not only to me, to his family, but to himself to let nothing stand in his way and to bring to life the seeming impossibility of a dream that grew roots around a kitchen table designing T-shirts.
