What is a “Fair Share”: Being run ragged by goofy politicians

Do you ever wonder why at the end of a week all your time seems consumed? After all you work all week at your job, and when you come home you find out you have obligations to drive your kids to soccer practice to meet the schedule of their coaches. You have dinner obligations that your spouse arranged. You have community meetings that politicians arranged. And on the weekend you have family obligations that your elderly parents arranged along with your siblings on one side of the family on one day, and because your spouse’s family and your biological family do not get along, you have obligations with them on the next day. At the end of the week you discover that all your time has been consumed by other people’s decisions which have directly affected you. They made decisions that cost you time and money in order to meet your relationship parameters with those people.

When looting politicians like Barack Obama declares that you owe your “fair share” of a tax burden, they are essentially signing you up for obligations that you had very little input in, and when you get your pay check, you realize how little money you have left after all the looters have taken portions of your money. Taxes rarely go to programs that you personally use, most often they go to demographic groups that suit the looting politicians. Politicians have gotten used to giving out tax money as gifts to people who vote them into office. They make financial commitments on behalf of the rest of us and traditionally we voted in favor of those financial commitments by not voting out those looting politicians.

For all the reasons you typically say “yes” to every social obligation that comes your way during a week, you say yes to every tax increase the politicians commit on your behalf because you don’t want to appear to be “anti-social” by not participating. So you run yourself ragged to fulfill all your obligations and when you get to be old and near death you find yourself resentful that you never had the courage to tell some of those people no. Often you discover too late that time is precious, and you ran yourself ragged for decades only to find out you could never make everyone completely happy anyway. They used up your personal time, and now you’re at the end of your life and you can’t get that time back—and nobody cares. They may cry a bit at your funeral, but even that goes away in a day or two.

This is what politicians are doing with our tax money and when they declare that we should pay our “fair share” they are stating that they assume we endorse all their goofy programs because we continue to pay for them without question. When Obama says that we must raise taxes on the “rich” he is already attacking the demographic group that pays the most taxes, and is pushing for increased theft of their money, which is appealing to the majority of Americans that pay little or no tax on their incomes. What Obama is doing is taking from the rich and giving to the poor in those types of statements.

When Obama states the necessity of those taxes he is assuming that voters support all the pension deals that politicians have cut in bedroom brokerages with organized labor. Obama assumes that all Americans are content with Medicare, and Social Security stability. Obama assumes that Americans are alright with education services, defense spending, space development, welfare reform, a criminal Department of Justice, a bunch of thieving lunatics in the Senate, corrupt lobby affairs in the House of Representatives, a president who uses Air Force One as his personal taxi service to raise money for another term, which 50% of America are against—yet they are forced to pay their taxes to a president they don’t want.

By declaring that Americans—especially the wealthy—should pay their fair share, Obama and his minions of looters assume that the decisions they have made mandate automatic support from all American people without question. It is assumed that all Americans will pay their taxes for programs they don’t want—to feed people we see as parasites to society—and we are required by social contract to give away every last dime of our hard earned money to the obligations these idiots have created for us.

Many of you reading this look for coupons to save money at the grocery, you eat out when you see there’s a two for one special, and you wait in line on Black Friday to get special deals on expensive electronics to save money. But you also pay your taxes without question when looting politicians continue to ask for more, and more, and more. It never ends, yet you don’t question it. You treat them the way you do family and friends who demand all of your time that they can get access to—running you ragged to no end. And you let them do it, for the same reasons that you let politicians take your money and spend it on programs you don’t support.

Does any of this make sense? I don’t know about you, but I don’t spend my money on services that I don’t like. I don’t see movies that I think are too expensive for the quality of what’s on the screen, I don’t eat at a restaurant if I suspect I’ll get bad service, and I don’t take long trips if gas prices are too high. If charges on my cell phone creep up too much, I cancel the service. If my cable company does not give me the channels I want I drop it in favor of a satellite service. I exercise my options to find the cheapest service at the best price. With Obama and his gang, I do not get a good service for the money I spend and I do not want to give them more money. I do not feel obligated to meet the goals they set for me, because they are idiots and I have no value for them. I do not approve of their Social Security program, their Medicare program, and their decision to cut space exploration in favor of giving more money to the United Nations. I do not support participation in the United Nations with tax payer money. I do not support the criminal behavior of many government branches, particularly the DOJ under Eric Holder. I do not support the current border policy; I do not support the work of our EPA since it is infected with environmental radicals without any sense in their heads. I could go on and on, but in short, why should I support something with higher taxes that I think is a bad product? I shouldn’t. And I say no—often.

In my personal life, I say NO to 80% of all the attempts of family members and friends to get me to show up someplace to do things I do not want to do. I do not let people run me ragged with obligations they’ve committed me to. It’s no offense to them, but I come first, and if I feel stretched too thin, I give myself some time. So it is easy for me to say no to Obama and his thugs. The statement that tax obligations created by politicians somehow mandate my participation is laughable. If more people learned to say no to all the time and money eating activities that the looters of government throw our way, people would discover they had much better lives. They’d have more time to do the things they want to do, and they’d have more money to do them. Government is responsible for much of the misery our society is suffering from. For many who have not learned to say no, they run themselves ragged trying to meet all the social obligations fools like Obama create for them, and they spend their lives slaves to the ignorance of others. That is what Obama means when he says people need to pay their “fair share.” He is stating that tax payers are required to blindly pay money to the programs that looters like him created for their own behalf, to buy votes and pad their own pockets with lavish lifestyles. They are of course totally out-of-line. The lives of many people would be dramatically improved if they’d just learn to say no to looters like Obama and his clan of money grabbing, chaos driven malcontents whose time isn’t worth the money they are demanding.

The problems are the same, the inability to manage our personal times week by week, and the bottomless pit of tax requests by politicians who are never happy and will forever take more than they are given. The more they are given, the more they give away to buy votes so they can stay in power. The heart of the problem is in most of us who want to be polite and make everyone but ourselves happy. It is that nature in ourselves that Obama speaks to when he creates demands of our time and money to service his imperial interests. And he’s wrong—completely wrong.

For confirmation on Obama and those like him as outlined in this article, make plans to see the movie 2016, coming to a theater near you. At that film you will discover just how serious the situation involving politicians like Obama truly are.

Why Obama is a Marxist: Being jealous of the rich and stealing their money

To understand why Barack Obama is a Marxist all that is required is to understand his position on the Bush Tax Cuts. What I am about to say is not a scathing endorsement of Mitt Romney. I will be voting for Mitt. I think he’s a clean-cut guy who will do the right things for the most part. But he’s also rich, and because of that, he knows how to make money. So news flash for those who are struggling to find a job, or want a crack at the American dream—you want people who understand wealth creation to hold political offices. You certainly don’t want confused ex-college professors who spent too much time reading Karl Marx in college while smoking large quantities of dope with other Marxist teachers at the University of Chicago.

What Obama means when he says he wants to keep the tax rate steady for the “middle class,” while raising it for the “wealthy,” he is stating that he’s following the philosophy of Karl Marx in his two books, The Communist Manifesto, and Das Kapital. For a full review of my opinion of Karl Marx, CLICK HERE. In the work of Marx he divides up all of society into two classes—the proletariat and the bourgeois. In Obama’s world, the proletariat is the middle-class. His aim as a president and world leader is to pull up all the poor of the world into the middle class, and to beat down all the wealthy into the middle class by taking their wealth through redistribution. President Obama is all about creating one class of people and making sure they all stay in the middle. This is the essence of his entire life—it’s what he stands for most as a human being. He believes himself to be the great human equalizer.

However, the problem with President Obama’s view is that it is pure Marxism as that philosophy developed in an actual Europe which contained an oppressive bourgeois class of princes and nobility. In America, unknown to Marx at the time, capitalism was breaking down the class structure much more effectively than his communist musings. In America anyone who wanted to could become rich by simply coming up with a better way of doing something. The threat of this concept insulted the nobility of Europe to no end. To them the thought of a mere peasant become a member of the bourgeois class was preposterous. But in America, it was happening in what was becoming known as the “rags to riches” stories that are unique to the American experience.

The educated elite in Europe through schools like Cambridge saw themselves in Marx’s work as the elite who could manage a vast society of the proletariat, so they put their support behind Marxism and began embracing economic models that reflected this philosophy such as Keynesian. This is why Obama believes he is one of these educated elite and has a right to by-pass congress, and write executive orders whenever he feels like it, is because he was taught through Marxism that as an educator he would be an educated ruler of the proletariat.

Obama because he is a Marxist sees anyone who possesses wealth—unless they wish to surrender it to the proletariat–to be member of the bourgeois class which according to Marx, must be over thrown. This is why Obama wants to tax the rich. The money raised by a tax increase on the wealthy is but a tear drop in the ocean relating to the national debt. That is not Obama’s intention. His intention is to eliminate the so-called wealthy in America, then give that money to the poor, so that all of America is in the middle-class with the rest of his union supporters and social miscreants.

In America no individual should be happy being in the middle class. Every American should have a shot at becoming wealthy if they have an idea and wish to develop it. That is part of what the American Dream is all about. No American should look at the wealthy and hiss at them, declaring that the wealthy should be robed by the government and the money should be distributed to the middle and lower classes equalizing everyone on earth to be herded around by the education elite.

Americans should look at the wealthy and strive to be more like them—to watch what they did, and put their own variation into action in an attempt at the American Dream which centers on property ownership. Obama has failed as a president and he will always fail as a human being because he is simply a glorified looter. He makes his living stealing from those who have, and giving it to those who haven’t. When he says in his speeches that he is a “wealthy guy” like Steve Jobs, George Lucas, or even Richard Branson, he is sadly mistaken. Those people went out and created things from nothing, and their wealth is the result of their innovations. Instead Obama is a “wealthy guy” like the drunken casino winner who just happened to hit a jackpot because he was standing with a joint in one hand at the right spot at the right time. The Democrats needed a man of color to run for president, so they picked Barack, because they knew that was the only way they could win the presidency and advance their socialism, was by playing the race card. Little Barack Obama, the foreign student from Indonesia had hit the jackpot.

Obama showed up where they told him to, and said what was on his teleprompter while he rolled around in the money that people from an actual bourgeois class of education elite threw at him. The education elite wanted Obama to push them into power over a society of sheep happy to live contently in the middle-class. Obama didn’t invent anything, or run a successful company anywhere making anything. He hasn’t even run a lemonade stand during his checkered past.

Romney became rich because he understands what makes wealth, which President Obama jealously does not understand. So he attacks Romney and any other rich Republican as members of a bourgeois class because his hero Karl Marx taught him to hate wealth, innovation, and productivity in a foolish dedication to the proletariat—the modern day middle-class. Obama and his kind have made their livings lying to themselves, so they have no trouble lying to the public at large. When Obama says that he is not a socialist, or a Marxist intending to take the nation into full-fledged communism, he is lying or he does not understand the definitions for which he lives. Obama is a Marxist in the purest sense of the word, and he arrived there by reading the wrong books and hanging out with the wrong people who took him on a quest that molded him into a common thief. His looter lifestyle has been made acceptable because he has a degree in law, and wears a business suit, and has managed to convince the foolish, and mentally challenged that he is their savior if they’ll only pay more in taxes, or steal it from those who have too much according to the creed of Marxism.

The Marxist believes that economic production such as land, raw materials, factories, tools, and people should become common property, so that every member of society could work according to their capacities and consume according to their needs. To the Marxist this is the only way to prevent the rich from living at the expense of the poor. And that statement defines the Presidency of Barack Obama. It is his belief in this Marxist idea that makes him consider that he has a right to raise taxes on the rich, while supplementing the poor, and maintaining the middle-class because the goal is complete destruction of the rich to expand the middle-class. It is for these reasons, and this specific definition when matched to the behavior of Barack Obama that indicates without any question that Obama is the first open Marxist to ever sit in The White House.

Happy “Dependence Day”: The social parasites who play the slot machine of government

It was refreshing to hear deep into the night on July 4th 2012 fireworks sounding off from thousands of potential American rebels. Ohio had a ban on firing off “illegal” fireworks due to the very dry conditions and there were threats of enforcement by police and fire marshals “concerned” about the public safety. By the level of hoopla made about how dry things have been by those public employees I was actually surprised to wake up on July 5, 2012 to find that the state had not burned to the ground. According to the safety addicts, one smoldering ember would have set homes and properties ablaze requiring the police and fire departments to swoop in for the rescue. Of course their warnings were subtle reminders to the taxpaying public how “needed” they were which was just self promotion the local media was happy to broadcast with urgency hoping to incite panic among the veal raising parents who happily pass school levies so their children can become the next Einstein. For the most part, those warnings on July 4th were ignored, people fired off their fireworks, and the state did not burn into smoldering dust.

This left me to wonder why those same people did not behave with the same tenacity every other day of the year, which was the topic of Darryl Parks at 700 WLW during his July 4th broadcast. He brought to question the same issue I have been pondering—especially in the wake of the Supreme Court ruling over healthcare—many of the same people who have professed they want American Independence with a lot less socialism are at the same time asking the government to provide Social Security, Medicare, healthcare, food stamps, Pell Grants, government backed workman’s compensation, extended unemployment benefits, the list goes on and on and on. Darryl does a great job in the broadcast below in putting some numbers out about just how serious the situation is regarding the average American desiring to take money from the government to alleviate their personal ailments.

When viewed with reality, Americans are far away from truly being free, and they have no real desire to become free. They line up with their hand out looking for the government to give them something, and that something comes from the tax money we all throw into the pot.

I was invited to be in several parades on July 4th, which I thought was nice for the organizers to ask. But my personal decision on July 4th was to celebrate independence and I didn’t want to meet with any politicians on a much deserved day off. I want to be “independent” of them and did not feel like being nice to anybody just out of the act of being polite. Politicians at every single level have made their livings from the beginning of America to the present by giving away things that are not theirs to people who elect them into power.

If you take the time to consider the weight of that statement, it points directly to the heart of every major problem being dealt with in America right now. Politicians gaining the power of office give away things to the people who keep them in those positions. It could be a current president who wishes to loosen up illegal immigration policies pandering to the Latino vote, the congressman who embeds an earmark deep into a bill to make a lobbyist happy, or a local trustee who pushed for a zoning restriction to pander to their election campaigns. Our political system is corrupt to its very core with this notion of giving away things to people in order to buy votes, even if its just a $5,000 sidewalk in Beckett Ridge.

If you listen carefully to all politicians, particularly in presidential politics, virtually everything they say they are going to do in office is to give away things to the people who elect them. But what people often don’t take the time to consider is that the things the politicians are giving away are the things that the voting population has given the politician to begin with. The politician didn’t make or create anything. All they can do is manage the resources provided to them. This is the danger of a democracy composed by a society of weak veal. The thing the politician should say in America is “elect me so that I can get government out of your life.” But Americans have become used to getting more than they put into the tax pot as if they were at a casino and playing the slots, where they put in their dollar and pull the lever through politicians at the voting booth, and suddenly out comes a jackpot collected there from other such players. The person receiving the jackpot thinks they have struck it rich, while the previous players scorn the system for not providing them with the jackpot—because they put their money in too.

Well, I don’t gamble. I never put my money in a slot machine, or on a black jack table—never. I work too hard for my money to throw it away on chance. And in politics I feel the same way. I see paying my taxes as a kind of casino game and I don’t wish to play. In my entire life I have never collected a workman’s comp claim and I have had injuries on the job that pierced skin through one side of my body and came out the other. I have worked through broken bones. I have worked through major back pain. I have worked through torn ligaments. I have been so financially strapped at times in the past that I could only afford one car that I gave to my wife so she could drive our children to school—to keep them from having to ride a school bus. I rode a bicycle instead 12 miles each way to one of my two jobs at the time as my only mode of transportation. After working 10 hours at my main job, I rode to my second job working another 8. So I have no sympathy for weaklings who take government money, or force their employers to compensate them for time off. I have no sympathy for the person who says they can’t get to work because they don’t have a car. I have no sympathy to the person who says they can’t afford to pay their cable bill (which is a luxury), their cell phone bill (which is a luxury), or pay for their internet. My first question to them is, “how many hours do you work a day?” Usually the answer is eight. I often respond that I’ve worked up to 18 hours per day, sometimes 7 days per week to give my family, and myself what I needed. Why can’t you do the same?

Politicians have created a handout culture where they take from people like me and give it to people I consider parasites, because they are too lazy, too weak minded, and physically weak to do for themselves. I am told that I should be compassionate. I am also told that I didn’t need to work through all my injuries, that I could have taken time off work, I could have insisted on government transportation, government food, government medicine, government housing, government education, government—government—government everything! I am told I could have used those services just like everyone else—but it was my freedom to choose not to.

Well, my answer is that I expect people to do as I do, but there is no incentive because government makes it so that the majority of Americans can take the easy way out, by taking advantage of government programs created by pandering politicians for the sake of getting elected, and they did it with my money that they forced from me through increased taxation—legalized theft. And to a person like me, it is stolen money because I do not participate in the slot machine of government. I do not pull the lever in hopes of getting back more than I put in like most other people do.

This is why I think it is appropriate the day after July 4th to celebrate that day as “Dependence Day” because it is for all those people who have corrupted our nation with a political system focused on pandering instead of managing. Because of the collectivism that has contaminated the American Dream, those who have their hands out—which is virtually everyone–has made slaves out of every other person who puts their money into the government machine hoping to get back more than they put in. Those are the kind of people who have made a scam of our government and of our nation, and they should be ashamed of themselves. It was nice on July 4th to hear that many of them fired off their fireworks defying the law. That tells me there is still something of America still in them. But on July 5th, “DEPENDENCE DAY” they were back to the grindstone with their hand out looking for an easy break from a politician who has no right to give it to them. It is because of each and every one of those veal producing parasites that America is a declining nation like the fireworks blown up on the Fourth of July to only become a distant memory the day after.

The Evil of Obamacare: Insurance actuaries conduct a parasitic symphony

The reality of Obamacare is not that it will help poor people have health insurance even though that’s the way it was sold. It’s about creating more government jobs at the IRS. It’s about creating more college degree positions as insurance actuaries. And it’s about giving near monopoly power to insurance companies. To hear the numbers for yourself listen to Nathan Bachrach from the show Simply Money on 55 KRC speaking with Darryl Parks on 700 WLW.

Government healthcare is about job creation and using tax money to create those jobs. It has nothing to do with healing the sick, but in keeping more people sick longer so that the medical profession can profit off that sickness. Insurance actuaries are one of the fastest growing professions in the United States right now. By looking at the link below it can be seen what they are projected to make each year, and the year to year growth of that industry. The reason for the growth is the government takeover of healthcare or rather the threat of it over the last 20 years.

http://www.bls.gov/ooh/Math/Actuaries.htm

I personally seldom claim against my insurance. When I get a cut on my skin, I fix it myself. When a tree falls on my house, I take care of it. When my cars are in accidents, I most of the time handle it myself. I do not go to the doctor unless something is really wrong, and I seldom ever get sick. To an insurance actuary I am a gift to the insurance company because I never use it, yet I pay for the service. Insurance companies make most of their money off people like me. Insurance works by having more people pay into a service than they actually use. If more than 25% of the contributors file claims, the insurance company has some serious problems since the payout often well exceeds what individuals have contributed unless they’ve participated in the insurance for a decade or more.

Insurance actuaries help the insurance companies assess these risks so that they can hedge their finances and make a profit. If the insurance provider has too many customers who are high risk, the insurance company will go out of business. When government gets involved such as they did in the 80’s when they mandated car insurance for all drivers, they did not do it for the good of the people, but for the job security of the insurance actuaries who were concerned that the risk of driving a car placed numerous unforeseen statistics into their equations and made profit nearly impossible for the insurance companies who had to compete with other companies in the free market for business. To compete insurance companies had to lower their rates to dangerous levels that did not give the insurance actuaries much to work with on profit forecasts. A good driver could randomly be hit by a bad driver, which completely wrecks the work of the insurance actuary with unpredictability.

Government mandated that all drivers who wished to have the “privilege” of driving in their state purchase insurance so that insurance companies would no longer have to drive down their prices to compete with each other to lure customers. Insurance companies were given an oligopoly of power by state and federal government to guarantee insurance companies a share of all drivers on the roadways so insurance actuaries would have stable numbers to work with in their statistics analysts.

Because the insurance was mandated by the state, insurance companies were able to charge whatever they needed through their oligopoly power. If a high portion of the drivers on the roadways had too many accidents then insurance rates could increase collectively upon the advice of their insurance actuaries to maintain their profits. One insurance company did not have an advantage over another because they were all guaranteed a portion of a state’s driving population. This made life predictable and profitable for insurance companies, and the state governments were also able to make money through their court system by imposing fines (taxes) they otherwise wouldn’t have had—such as the DUI laws designed to generate so much revenue from the courts. All this was the result of extensive lobby power in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s. The original villain was insurance actuaries attempting to get stable statistics for the companies they worked for.

Now, as to healthcare, government through public sector unions already has their hands in the nursing profession. They already use Medicaid and Medicare to inject money into the system that it might not have through natural competition which has artificially propped up the level of medical activity. Because of Medicaid and Medicare people use medical services because they can, which really screws up the life of the insurance actuary by wrecking statistic models. On top of that, doctors have been involved with false billing that has really put stress on Medicaid and Medicare since the money is easy to get through the government bureaucracy.

Government has went to a lot of trouble to encourage citizens to take up occupations in the medical industry such as nurses, doctors and everything in between through the university system set up by the Department of Education, and government now has to guarantee that there are jobs for all those people even though it would appear that medicine is moving away from the traditional pharmaceutical treatments and more to regenerative health. Insurance actuators do not like that prospect. They need people to use their service and regenerative health would mean that high cost medical treatments might be a thing of the past. After all, doctors need to have patients, and nurses must care for the sick, otherwise there isn’t any job for those people to do. So insurance actuators aware of this situation have informed their company CEO’s of the danger, and those CEO’s have lobbied congress on K-Street to help bring stability to their industry in these changing times. After all, with the avalanche of an aging United States population coming, they want to keep traditional medicine rolling along to support the financial empires they’ve built the industry into. So they want government to do what they did for auto insurance—they want the government to bring stability to the market for their benefit—so their actuaries will have stable numbers. Once the entire population is mandated to have health insurance, the actuaries will have real numbers to access risk and will be able to adjust their rates according to the demand.

Obamacare is essentially about manipulating the market with “crony” capitalism which is a long way off from the pure capitalism that I talk about all the time. It’s about creating more government jobs that are propped up with tax dollars those jobs would not have access to any other way. And it destroys competition by creating powerful oligopolies in the insurance industry. Insurance companies have traded their independence from government for financial stability and a guaranteed portion of the future business of the aging nation in America. And it all started with insurance actuaries, then lobby power in Washington to manipulate the situation to their advantage using government to do it.

Progressives like Obama have a goal of global government control so the deal works out well for them. By the time the government power is out-of-control within the decade; the people who operate these insurance companies will have taken their money and ran, leaving the mess to the next generation. And it will be done on the backs of people like me who despise insurance, never use insurance, and act out of self-reliance by using preventative medicine that does not require the current medical system who will pay the most.

Obamacare is a scam that takes away competition, takes away innovation, and will create a society of dependent drug induced derelicts seeking to fulfill their prescriptions at Walgreens in massive herds. Obamacare was created by the pharmaceutical lobby in Washington while holding hands with the insurance industry. And greedy politicians seeing a power grab bit down on the trap enslaving the rest of us for centuries to come, all because of the inadvertent evil conducted in the cubical of insurance companies all across America from the computers of the insurance actuary and their desire for safety, security, and “clean” statistics.

Yet again the path to hell is paved with good intentions and a desire for “safety” to help sell to the American population a concept that will ultimately lead to the destruction of everything we value. Insurance is a collective money racket that kills freedom and forces collective salvation. It hides the grim reality that if none of us were forced to purchase insurance of any kind, or pay for Social Security, or Medicare, that we would more than double our yearly incomes and gain the ability to pay cash for those tragedies that come our way instead of relying on predatory insurance companies to do it for us, which is simply a cleverly disguised form of social contract that attaches the weakest of society to the work of the strongest in a vain attempt at utopia leaving us all victims to the very greedy.

The Evil in Greece: Trying to lead those who refuse to open their eyes

To those who wonder why I personally spend so much time writing about the evils of socialism and the general degradation of the human race the world over, I would like to direct your attention to the clip below. The video I have in mind is at the 4 minute mark, but the whole bit by Glenn Beck on his GBTV show sums up quite wonderfully what drives me.

I remember very well when Beck over a year ago on his Fox Television show predicted much of what is now going on in Greece and Egypt. Many in the industry wanted his head for his wild speculations about socialists and Nazis in Europe working their way into American politics. The clip above shows just how real the situation is.

It is not my fault that most people cannot add up the facts of what they see. Even worse, many people have a hard time even seeing the facts for their true worth. Glenn Beck obviously does not have this handicap which is a relief. I have never had it, and have spent much of my life spotting problems well before anyone else even thought there was a problem. Make no mistake, communism is here in America. It’s in our businesses, our schools, and our government. Socialism was brought to America by naive politicians after World War II as presidents like FDR experimented with socialism and over a long period of time people gradually accepted it. But the end game is what we can see in that video. That is what tomorrow brings if it is not stopped right now. It is to avoid that future shown in the above video that I put forth so much effort, because understanding it now will alleviate a lot of violence later. There is no denying that the world is fracturing even though most people chose not to see it. For those who do refuse, or are so tainted by ignorance that they cannot see, send this story to them so they can learn, and understand what the cost of compliance is. Refusing to act when decisions are required is the same as taking aggressive action in favor of turmoil when surrendering decisions lead to the perpetuation of tyranny among free people.

France Will Fail Economically Within a Year: How to detect a socialist

Over the past weekend France had their elections and it was the Socialist Party behind President Francois Hollande who won the majority in the parliamentary elections. The first statements made from Hollande’s Socialist Party upon the news was that they plan immediately to raise taxes on big banks and oil companies, levy a 75-percent tax on incomes higher than $1 million Euro’s and hire 60,000 more teachers. Sound familiar?

Here in The United States, it is not a coincidence that Democrats specifically support almost identical measures. That is because raising taxes on the rich, and expanding the public sector with mindless contributions to the field of education are policies of socialists, so even though union leaders and politicians who call themselves progressives and Democrats laugh at the notion that they are socialists—their behavior identifies them as one. Their denial of their commitment to socialism is a conscious one. For many years they have attempted to sell communism to the American people by changing its name.

A similar comparison would be to declare that they are not football players because they actually play baseball. The commitment to a particular sport is the difference in the title. To those individual players the difference between the two is worlds apart. But to the spectators who attend football and baseball games we might consider all the players of both games under the designation of “athletes.”

In politics if a government believes that the playing field must be leveled so the creators serve the workers, we would call them socialists. Within socialist circles there are of course variations that have specific roles for specific games within politics, such as Democrats, progressives, Marxists, communists and so on. It is easy to become confused when left leaning politicians and political philosophers show different variations and differ from one another on the political left. Bertrand Russell for instance believed that all human beings should work a four-hour day and that managers of industry should not make more money than the workers who do the labor. He actually disagreed with Karl Marx on many points, almost as many points as he disagreed with capitalism. William Du Bois, the famous advocate of the civil rights movement was in many ways a rational pragmatist that I personally agree with on many issues, but then he would stick his foot in his mouth with tremendous praise for Soviet dictator Josef Stalin upon the death of that mass murderer. Noam Chomsky at times as a modern philosopher for the left advocates openly for complete anarchy and is the voice behind the current Occupy Movement. His comments easily betray the desires of presidents like Francois Hollande or Obama. Obama without question is a socialist. He may very well be a hard-core Marxist. He may be as extreme as an open communist. That is to say that if he were playing sports, he’d be a baseball player, a basketball player, and a football player. He’d be a jock in sports, an athlete of the highest order. In politics Obama plays all the sports, bits of Marxism, bits of socialism, bits of communism, all the while calling himself a Progressive Democrat.

What socialists always error in is their blanket assumption that a name plate position will execute the results of their desires. For instance, as in France, they intend to create 60,000 teachers. It is the belief of socialists that school teachers are important in expanding the desires of their philosophers such as Bertrand Russell who was born in Wales and taught at Cambridge University and influenced many of the current minds occupying the French Parliament as socialists. Russell was the big advocate that working less contributed to more human happiness, and used the Great Depression as a platform to attack capitalism and advance his cause. He had great influence on most of Europe at the time which migrated across the Atlantic to FDR’s ears. It is largely Russell’s ideas that shaped the modern European concept of such early retirement, which are bankrupting Greece, Italy and Spain with France soon to follow. Germany just rose their retirement age to 67 and they are currently the most stable of the countries in the European Union because of decisions like that. Yet all of Europe currently are looking at Germany to bail them out of their financial woes because somebody has to pay for all those benefits due to non productive citizens who are living till age 70 and 80 yet retiring at age 55 and 62. The math just doesn’t work out and rather than admit that their social engineering gods were wrong from the halls of the great Cambridge University, they would rather steal the money from their neighbors to balance their budget resulting from their failed philosophies.

In The United States Obama’s commitment to socialism has pushed the national debt to nearly $16 trillion dollars before the conclusion of his first term. He has blamed everyone but himself of course, because he is fundamentally flawed in his thinking. His Marxist teachers at the University of Chicago and at Harvard lied to him, and he can’t come to grips with it. Obama coming from a broken home looked to education as a stabilizing force in his wrecked life, and the tragedy for a person like him is the same as finding out that a dad is not superman, or a mom an angel. For too many evenings Barack Obama smoked dope with his Marxist college students and professors discussing the merit of philosophers like Marx, Russell, Du Bois, and Chomsky.

But the theories have fallen apart under practice, and a lack of emphasis on quality has destroyed even the basic premise of socialism. We have learned here in America that hiring 60,000 more teachers or spending $200 million more on education will not improve the intelligence of our youth. Because quality is not the emphasis, most of the teachers will be proven to be complete failures who shouldn’t teach a turtle to walk let alone help shape the fragile mind of a child. Yet politicians like Obama will say that his plan for saving the American economy is to “create” more government jobs and that will somehow fix everything.

Socialists forget that somebody has to create the things that they give away to the lazy, the stupid, and the diabolically lackluster. If all the money the rich make is stolen from them and given to a bunch of lazy loafers, then what incentive is there for a job creator to take a chance at creating something if they cannot reap the benefit of their labor? Socialist because of writers like Russell believe that the rich land owners and managers of enterprise are exploiting the workers unjustly by living lavish lifestyles off the backs of the oppressed while they live sumptuous lifestyles with beautiful women, fur coats and exotic cars. But the truth is, the rich person created something which gave a job to those who lacked that ability, and they deserve the benefits of ownership.

Socialists miss the entire concept of ownership, and without that ownership their utopian society fails 100% of the time. France will bankrupt themselves within the year and it won’t take long for them to be worse off than Greece, because the government philosophy they are functioning under is a failure. It’s a flash in the pan that was over before it ever got started. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that people will have a tendency to irresponsibly vote themselves gifts, and that is what happened in France. The French people want their guaranteed vacations, their early retirements at 62 years old, and their medical coverage. But they don’t care where the money comes from. They are counting on bailouts from Germany or even The United States if their country can’t balance their budget because now that all of Europe is in a union together nobody is incentivized to lead themselves. This is why socialism fails. Without personal incentive, countries, governments, and people will fail without exception, because their lives are built on the premise of looting from others who do the work, so that they can loaf in the comfort of collectivism.

A socialist can always been identified by their blind commitment to education, and a belief in shared sacrifice. Their mentality is a disease upon the face of the planet and there is no question that there are some in a neighborhood near you. Because socialism is the political philosophy of the weak, and timid pacifist, and those are not the type who create jobs—so their commitment to socialism costs them nothing. All they have to do is sit back, vote in favor of socialism and miraculously food falls into their mouths without their effort to obtain it. This is why any society that commits to such a preposterous concept will eliminate themselves from the economical game of life.

Jerry Sandusky Trial: The pain of doing the right thing

Over the years I have gotten into a lot of trouble righting wrongs that in my view were pure evil. Sometimes in these conflicts the other side does not survive the worst case scenarios and sometimes the decimation of the wrong doer’s public persona is worse than death to them, because they care so much what others think. Sometimes the wrong doers are single advocates of terror, and sometimes the terrorist is a large organization. But as I reflect back on my life at this moment I can honestly say that even with all the pain it’s caused, with all the conflict, with all the broken hearts that follow—I am proud to have never turned away from a situation like Mike McQueary did when he walked in on Jerry Sandusky raping a young boy in a shower. McQueary did what the law says you should do, and that is report the incident to a higher authority. The trouble is, when our world is laced with massive amounts of self-serving corruption, and weaklings of spirit, such authority cannot be trusted. No, in reality by the rules of the human race, McQueary had an obligation to that little boy to save him from the domination of a much older man—but he didn’t. He took the weak way out and left the responsibility of justice to the mob of collective campus politics where it was swept under the rug at Penn State.

Of all the adults I know, most talk tough one on one over lunch, or at the local pub, but when it comes to action, they are often afraid to act on their knowledge of justice just as McQueary did. Only Darryl Parks at 700 WLW seems to have as much conviction over the Jerry Sandusky trial as I do. I believe what Darryl says in this broadcast seen below from his Saturday show because Darryl has taken a similar stand on school levies, which exploit children to pad the pockets of public employees, and he often goes on bold crusades against wrong doers calling them out by name on the 50,000 watt flamethrower known all over the Eastern United States as the Big One. He does those things because often it’s the right thing to do, and these days very few people feel secure enough with themselves to take a stand of any kind. And this has led to the kind of evil that occurred at Penn State for a very long time where hundreds, probably thousands turned away from justice in blind servitude to the might of Penn State as an institution. Listen to what Darryl has to say on the matter.

Right now, there are children who are desperately looking for adults to emulate, to show them that becoming a man or a woman is not a cheap suit of depravity. When a child is being abused and it is well known, yet good people turn away from the situation then evil is allowed to rule and goodness has lost. It does not matter if it is a beloved sports franchise, a business, a neighbor, a boss, even a parent. If evil is allowed to rule without being challenged, then the word “good” has no meaning.

Darryl is right. Mike McQueary should have beaten the living shit out of Sandusky on the spot when the rape was occurring. McQueary should have turned Sandusky into a bag of broken bones, which he could have done. Without question McQueary probably would have lost his job, he would have been sued; he would have been castigated in the sports community and may not have found another coaching job. But he would have saved that little boy and perhaps many others over the years. He had a moral obligation to that child, and he turned away from it trusting “the system” to do the right thing for him—which of course did not happen. Everyone in “the system” chose purposely to do the wrong thing to save themselves and their careers. In the sporting world, every person that knew about Jerry Sandusky’s rape of children is guilty. And many did know, because as Darryl pointed out, nobody offered Jerry Sandusky a job after he left Penn State, because they didn’t want the baggage. Nobody will ever admit it in the light of day, but they knew which was revealed in their silence.

I’m sure Mike McQueary like many people in his position wish they could go back and do it all again. I’m sure he’s played it out in his mind thousands of times what he “should have” done, but didn’t. When people ask me why I’ve taken the positions I have, or said the things I have, or done the things I’ve done to people who have done wrong and accuse me of being extreme, and over-the-top, I would point to issues like this situation at Penn State. I will not have on my conscience the kind of torture Mike McQueary has experienced. Lucky for me, I’ve had court judges who think of these matters similar as I do, and could have put me in jail many times over, but didn’t because they recognized the situations for what they were. But that doesn’t always happen, and some of those old judges from my past are long retired and have been replaced by lifetime ambulance chasing lawyers just looking for steady work, and have very little ethics. So it is possible they might throw the book at a freedom fighter just because they can, so they don’t have to feel the guilt of their own decrepit lives by equal measure.

Right now, many reading this know of some little tyranny in their own lives that they are doing nothing about, and they are letting down the innocent with their inaction. They eat, they watch too much television, they rent too many movies in a hope to push those thoughts from their minds, but it doesn’t work—does it? No amount of alcohol or any other drug can fully push it from the mind once the imprint of a coward makes its mark. And that makes them diminished human beings incapable of running their own lives, raising children, running businesses or serving as politicians. In fact, my hatred of most politicians is over this very issue. Most of them are cowards who are seeking to redeem some little Mike McQueary moment in their lives by serving on a school board, or becoming a township trustee. But what they bring with them to the table is more of their cowardly behavior and they seek to make deals with other cowards because like minds think the same, and soon they have made victims of thousands instead of just a few leaving behind destruction and psychological mayhem in their wake. No amount of tax money stolen from the tax payers can purchase their ticket into heaven making up for the sins of their past. There isn’t enough money in all of human potential that can erase the sins of inaction once they’ve happened.

I won’t lie to you dear reader, life is much easier if you just turn away from the tortured children of the world, or avoid the punks, the losers, the dirty politicians who at every turn seek to make a new victim at the hands of their aggression. But in the act of turning away, your mind records it, and you will never forget the pieces of you that are lost by each transgression. It is not just depleted cellular growth that makes people old; it’s the pieces that fall away as we must remember all the times we’ve turned away from evil to save our own skins leaving another to perish at the hands of a monster. So personally speaking, there is much less damage in kicking the shit out the monster right then and there and letting the chips fall wherever, because the inaction will cost you more in the long run.

American Families Lost 40% of their Wealth: The little bits of socialism in West Chester

I received a Twitter feed the other day indicating American families had lost 40% of their wealth during the recession (depression) that occurred from 2007 to 2010. The same people who are scratching their heads now wondering how this has happened are still not talking about the obvious problem in Europe where similar numbers are being reported. The common problem that permeates all the economies involved in this world-wide recession is a global commitment to socialism that has caused these losses, yet nobody will call it out by name.

The depression of 2007 to present has been caused by socialism and the commitment to Keynesian economics. For the same reason that academics have been reluctant to reveal scientific discoveries that shatter their previously published studies, academics have been very reluctant to take responsibility for their commitment to socialism and communism in our public schools. Millions of college students have went through communism basic training in college, and are now expected to function in a capitalist economy, and they don’t know how—so the American economy is failing, because education failed The United States population, just as it has the people of Europe. European socialists actually expect to retire at age 55 only to become leeches for the second half of their lives off their collective societies.

To provide an example of how socialism has impacted our local economy I’ll repeat a story I heard from a business owner while having lunch the other day. The owner complained to me that he had advertised for his business in his parking lot on Sundays, just like many of his neighboring businesses have; only he was stunned to find that one of the zoning employees for the Township of West Chester cited him for the infraction. The owner asked why he was being picked on instead of the other businesses, and there wasn’t a good answer, because it is a commitment to socialism that the young zoning employees are committed to, not capitalism, and this particular business was being targeted because two of the three trustees of West Chester do not like the kind of people who come to this particular business, so regulation is used to make the act of doing business difficult. The politicians involved hope that the owner will eventually give up and go out of business. So in this way, local politics can pick winners and losers and those who want to stay in business learn that if they want to play ball, they have to grease some squeaky wheels in politics.

There are 5 zoning employees in West Chester, most of them hired during the building boom of the last decade. Many of them are no longer needed, but because they are government employees, they are nearly impossible to get rid of, so now they have nothing to do but create needless regulation and enforce those regulations on the businesses they see their bosses—the trustees—do not approve of, so they can maintain their jobs and appear to be effective. In this case none of the individual players are evil. But the system they are functioning under is socialism, and the collective nature of that philosophy is evil, because it allows a hierarchy class to pick winners and losers. In the case of the business owner I was having lunch with, he was being punished for being the “wrong” kind of business as determined by the hierarchy of two out of three West Chester trustees and the zoning employees were using regulation to decide what kind of business succeeds or fails in West Chester.

http://www.westchesteroh.org/CDPlanning.cfm

This isn’t just isolated to West Chester where zoning employees use regulation to control the flow of business. Just to the north in Liberty Twp, a Frisch’s restaurant that is due to open in August of 2012 experienced similar harassment. That restaurant almost didn’t happen because the builders were at odds with the zoning employee in Liberty Twp over whether or not that particular restaurant could have the famous Big Boy statue in front of their store. A regulation created by Jonathan West who is heavily petitioned against by several builders to be removed from power because of his open abuse of building investment in the region prevented the construction of the new Frisch’s for well over a year basically due to the issue of the famous statue. This same Liberty Twp zoning employee has went to great trouble going around the township harassing businesses in the same way that West Chester zoning employees have.

I’ve spoke to non business residents about these zoning issues and they almost always say to me, “but if it wasn’t for zoning, those greedy builders could do whatever they want and would only get richer.” And there you have it. That is the cause of the 40% loss in American wealth—the American people have been taught to distrust businessmen and business women, corporations, builders, developers, inventors, anyone who is rich—they are all targets from all the little socialists who seek government jobs and a lifetime of justifying their jobs with coercion sucking up to the political class. In the case of the zoning employees, it is the majority rule on the Township trustee boards who decides what businesses will be heavily regulated and which will not just like cops pull over sports cars with young 25-year-old men more often than the middle-aged tax payer in a “family car,” because the regulation is a “nudge” created by the collective to help shape society into the vision of the political class. The trustees have to show the community that they are doing tasks the voters can see, so they use regulation to give themselves performance measures and they use those same regulations to pick successful businesses and failed businesses. The zoning people just like the police “enforce” the law of politicians so that socialism can grow.

None of this is intentional. Human beings do what they are taught, and unfortunately for more than 40 years, socialism has been taught to the American people, and they have accepted it thinking they were being patriotic American citizens. They did not see the red flag of the Soviet Union, or China, so they did not think they were advocating socialism on a clear path to communism when they embraced the tyrannical polices of township trustees and their zoning employees. But it is socialism that makes the cost of doing business either prohibitive or conducive, and if a business is out of favor with the “political class” even in a conservative area like West Chester or Liberty Twp they will be put out of business with excessive court costs and fines. There is simply too much government that have their hands in too many businesses, and there are too many people who believe that regulation protects them from “greedy” rich people who just want to make money.

Schools have taught generations of young people who “making money” is a bad, evil act. Yet the world is shocked when they learn that socialism in Europe is bankrupting the Eurozone and America has lost 40% of it’s wealth in just 4 short years. Lack of wealth creation is the natural byproduct of having an anti-wealth creation mentality in society, and most Americans are just a little bit guilty of accepting socialism without realizing they are accepting a parasitic political philosophy that is inadvertently destroying their lives. But the guiltiest of this serious crime are those who know better, but advance socialism anyway because they consider themselves good little Democrats, progressives, ex-hippies, or civil rights crusaders. They refuse to admit to themselves that it is their political philosophy that is ruining the world, and they deny the fact to themselves. They are no different from the overweight person who claims to be on a diet and orders a tremendous amount of fattening food at a restaurant but justifies their diet by ordering a “diet” soda. Those same types of people claim they are committed to capitalism, yet they want huge government employee expansion, wonderful federal pensions, and short—nonproductive work hours—then they wonder why no wealth has been created and businesses are failing. They also wonder why nobody is stepping forward to start a business when they have zoned land to attract such development. The reason is socialism. More often than not, the zoning administrator who drives around on a Sunday afternoon picking on businesses who break their zoning regulations are making more money than the owners of such businesses by the time the business owner follows all the federal regulations, state regulations, and community regulations, then pays for their accountants, their attorney fees and pads the pockets of the local politicians by donating tremendous amounts of money to the charities in fashion at the time. It is the little socialist government zoning worker who sits at their desk all day maintaining their Facebook accounts and little else who make much more money at the end of the day while the business owner worries each night before he goes to bed how he can stay open for one more day, or one more week.

Hmmmmm, I wonder why America is losing its wealth?

Teacher’s Threaten to Strike in Chicago: The big labor union show with a puppet mayor

Does anyone remember when President Obama told America right after his election in 2008 that The United States had a lot to learn from Europe, and that we should strive to be more like them as a nation? Now, as Spain is begging for a financial bailout, Greece is locked in a civil war in the it’s streets between the communists and Nazi parties, France is collapsing under it’s newly elected socialist president and Italy is failing especially in their economy and is not far behind Spain. When President Obama pointed at Europe and stated that The United States should be more like them, he was saying that it was socialism that America needed to emulate, and within four years of open socialism from the start of Obama’s presidency to the end of it, Europe is collapsing under economic failures directly created by the small little book called The Communist Manifesto. Those who followed the economic policies of Karl Marx have led their nations to financial ruin.

In America, thankfully not quite too late, some are beginning to see the socialist tendencies being taught in our schools and openly advocated by our government. Some in the Tea Party movements and other liberty groups are beginning to fight back in an attempt to save the capitalism that built America from the encroachment of communism. Most notably, the recall election in Wisconsin to remove Scott Walker as governor was the grand attempt by socialist labor unions to maintain their grip on economic power and dedication to expand socialism to every corner of the world.

Yet in the city of Chicago, President Obama’s favorite city, it is socialism that rules still as the teachers union for the Chicago Public School system voted by a margin of more than 75% of it’s members to impose a potential strike in mid-August 2012 if the CPS management cannot come to contract terms with the Chicago Teacher’s Union which expires on June 30th 2012. You can read the announcement of this strike at the website of Progress Illinois seen below, which is Illinois version of Progress Ohio. (Special note, all such “progress” groups are essentially socialist/communist advocates. They use the name “progress” to hide their real intentions, which is to follow the path of Europe. So beware of them all. They are anti-capitalist—and therefore anti-American.)

http://progressillinois.com/posts/content/2012/06/11/whats-next-after-ctu-strike-authorization-vote

It is clear in this proposed Chicago teachers strike why the unions are against voucher schools and privately run schools, because under capitalism, if free enterprise were involved in education, the government schools would not be able to maintain a monopoly and tactics like these massive teacher strikes would not work, because parents would have options in case their children’s school teachers did strike.

The issues that the CTU wish to strike over are of course wages. Currently, the average wage rate for CTU teachers is $69,000 and under the new contract the CTU wants a 29% increase over that amount. Another stipulation is the teachers of the CTU are upset that the teacher work day will increase by ten percent from 420 minutes to 460 minutes a day. At 460 minutes of contracted work, that comes out to a work day of 7.6 hours. The audacity of such expectations is that those CTU employees are so incredibly out of touch from what the average American is experiencing that they don’t see that such an expectation is ridiculously foolish. The CTU employees are suffering from the same inflated viewpoint that citizens in Europe expect which is bankrupting the entire Euro zone.

The first thing any rational person would ask when listening to the CTU demands is how on earth could they expect in this day and age to succeed with this insane, and unprecedented strike attempt. Well, the answer is in whom the mayor of Chicago is, the former White House Obama heel licker Rahm Emanuel, who at his heart is a big time progressive, pro union advocate. The union leaders of the CTU would like the public to believe they are locked in a mortal battle with the Mayor Emanuel, but I will declare this—that the whole thing is a political stunt and the Mayor is in on the act.

Emanuel and the labor leaders of the CTU plan to allow the threat of a strike to percolate and gain media attention during the summer of 2012, and at the last-minute, Emanuel and the union leaders will strike a deal, and both parties will declare victory over the charade imposed upon the tax payers of Chicago. Their combined hopes, along with the White House are that unions all over America will use Chicago as an example of strength and follow with the same type of strike attempts in every city in the nation. The unions desire a victory after the paralyzing loss in Wisconsin so they are staging one in Chicago with the progressive Mayor Emanuel to prove that the extortion attempts of old still work, before the unions lose all their members due to ineffectiveness.

The goal for all involved is not to bring relief to the tax payers of Chicago or even to help one single child, but to spread the socialism which is crushing Europe all over America. The unions realize that they must move fast, or they will be completely out of power within a few years, so they need to radicalize their base with a victory in Chicago, which Rahm Emanuel is poised to give them.

The fight in Chicago is nothing more than a WWF wrestling match. The victors are already determined, and are simply staging a fight on behalf of the American people. The staged fight is designed to breathe life into unions bent over with defeat as tax payers everywhere are beginning to fight back. Progressive know that if they don’t rally their troops now, it will be over for them in America very soon, because Europe is failing miserably under socialism/communism and the dream of a communist worldwide utopia so fantasized by the political left for so many years is quickly evaporating like a puddle of water on a sidewalk in Columbia, South America. It is communism that these progressives on both sides of the Chicago labor dispute desire, only they won’t tell the taxpayers that. What they show is a mayor who must come to the negotiating table with the CTU, forced there by the threat of a strike, to negotiate a collective-bargaining agreement and preserve the union way of life into the future. Their attempt is as futile as the fools of Europe marching in the streets and setting police officers on fire to protest free government support for their lazy, unproductive lives. And such a description is the antithesis of your local school teacher who complains that $69,000 a year is not enough money for only working 7.8 hours a day.

No Levy for Lakota in 2012: Rich Hoffman agrees with the Lakota School Board?

For the first time in over a year, I agree with the Lakota School Board. They should not put a levy on the ballot this November for the 2012 election. At this time, the current board president Ben Dibble is giving indications that they will not pursue a levy request on the fall ballot. This is a good thing in that it respects the wishes of the voters in the last three elections, and recognizes the economic conditions of the community. To put the community through another dog fight in a year when weary home buyers might not wish to purchase a home in the Lakota district because our campaign fight has been on the radio and in the papers both locally and nationally each week would not be wise.

http://westchesterbuzz.com/2012/06/07/enquirer-exclusive-report-lakota-levy-is-very-unlikely/

It was nearly a year ago when I attended a school board meeting and everyone was getting along for the first time in a long time. I spoke openly with several members of the board, and key administrators prior to their last levy attempt. Lakota seemed to be on the mend, and a new superintendent was coming to help balance the budget.

When Superintendent Mantia came from Pickerington, she sat down with me and the members of No Lakota Levy and attempted to tell us what we wanted to hear, which kept the peace for a few weeks. But behind the scenes, there was scheming going on, which of course got back to me.  Another election came and the proposed tax increase was defeated by over 18,000 votes. Some of the credit for that loss could certainly be given to those of us who brought information to the public about how ridiculous much of the current Lakota spending was. But much of the loss can be attributed to the declining housing market. Residents used to be generous with levy increases because the values of their homes were well outpacing the taxes. Now that taxes are high, and prices are falling, people don’t have the extra money to throw away at a public school, and many businesses are barely hanging on by a thread. A tax increase just might do many of them in, with an economic climate that by all indications in hindsight will be called a great depression.

After that November 2011 defeat a small band of pro levy supporters decided they were going to get me back for “hurting” their children’s lives by denying more tax money to the school. The belief was that if No Lakota Levy could be talked out of working with me, the tax opposition would be removed. What these agents of seduction did not know was that it was the members of No Lakota Levy who approached me after I did my own independent work in fighting the levy in the spring of 2010 to join forces and help them. My behavior was the same as it had always been, I brought my supporters with me and expanded their efforts. When Superintendent Mantia and other board members attempted to befriend members of No Lakota Levy who they assumed were the leaders, they left me out of those conversation because they rationalized that I was just the radical “hired” lobbyist that could be fired if the leaders of No Lakota Levy could be convinced.

While this politicking was going on behind closed doors, and through emails and phone calls, several of the radical pro levy supporters still upset at me due to the November 2011 election began a smear campaign against me, some of them going to the Kroger Store on Cincinnati-Dayton road during Saturdays in February and conducting a survey against my name, attempting to slander me publicly in the doorway as people went into the store. Some of my anti-levy friends were giving me word that this was going on publicly and within the school itself and that Mantia was stoking the fires personally. Politically I could see why she would do such a thing. After all, she was paid a quarter of a million dollars a year to come to Lakota from Pickerington to pass a school levy and I was her primary opposition. So she figured that by removing my credibility through constant attacks, and trying to divide and conquer my friends in the No Lakota Levy, that she could remove the tax opposition since she knew that many of the property owners in No Lakota Levy were very concerned about another public battle over a levy.

Seeing all this going on, and hearing the kinds of things that were being said infuriated me and I went on my now famous rant which I fully intended to weed out the instigators who were causing me so much trouble. I had my suspicions, but I had to know for sure who was responsible for what in the smear campaign against me and how they all connected. Sure enough, after I put up a tempting post here at Overmanwarrior’s Wisdom it was Julie Schafer the Vice President of the Lakota School Board and my political rival over the tax increases who posted my comments on her Facebook page to enrage the fires, as predicted. Behind the scenes the superintendent solicited community support from big time liberals like West Chester Trustee Cathy Stoker in an attempt to bring down the wrath of the community on me. But in essence it was only about 70 to 80 hard core levy supporters and they had come out by name in their online comments in the Enquirer and Facebook pages giving me the information I needed to use in the next levy fight.

Predictably, my friends in the No Lakota Levy wanted political distance from me, because for years they had been victims of threatened boycotts from those same 70-80 hard core levy supporters who profess to speak for over 100,000 Lakota school district residents. The backlash in the media was considerable and conventional politics would have dictated that I was finished. If I had a conventional life, I might have lost my job, my family, even my nerve with the offensive that the pro levy group at Lakota attempted. But I do not have a conventional life, and my reputation is so well known and respected that my core supporters never wavered from me for a second. The desired hope was that by removing me from No Lakota Levy the websites I ran would all be shut down, and I would drift off into obscurity. What the levy supporters did not know was that my support base had only increased as a result of their actions, not decreased. In the chess game of politics, you might call that a “checkmate.” I’ve played a lot of chess, so most of these moves were planned way back in August of 2011, anticipating the move of the opposition, even baiting them to make the moves desired.  Sometimes it’s one thing to consider the strategic options, it’s another to actually see them do it, and once they did, it did infuriate me into a rage that I still feel.

It is sad that the whole ordeal must be looked upon as a game of winning and losing. Sadly, the losers of this game have managed to punish the parents of the district with extremely high fees for extracurricular activities and busing costs which should all be included with the high taxes we already pay. Ben is right that the budget from the state is not yet set, so there are unknowns. And it’s difficult to tell how much more homes in the Lakota district will lose in further value as a result of the economic conditions. Finally, some Lakota administrators are starting to learn that they can save tremendous amounts of money by combining jobs. This summer there are two assistant superintendents who are retiring, and Lakota is only planning to replace one, which will save a six figure salary, which is significant. If they did that 10 more times to 10 other positions they would save a million dollars. If they did it 20 times, they would save 2 million dollars, then Lakota could afford to have busing, free sports and many other things just by asking the employees to do more, which is quite appropriate under the conditions.

But ultimately, not putting a levy on the ballot in 2012 prevents me from unleashing the mountain of bad PR I am holding to unleash during the next levy attempt. I have not done it yet because I don’t want to scare away potential home buyers. But I also don’t want to see a levy increase ruin community businesses and push people out of their homes. For those in the Lakota district who brag about their $5,500 property tax bill each year and their ability to pay it, they do not understand that $20 or $30 extra in monthly taxes will end many property owners mortgages, because many don’t have the extra money to pay higher taxes due to many economic factors.

The people who have written to me, and campaigned against me who do brag about their ability to pay $5,500 tax bills are typically young. They typically have young children and have been fortunate enough to have good jobs that pay salaries which enable them to have a lifestyle that disregards such a high tax. Since they are young parents they are chemically induced to give “everything” to their children without question, so their decision making skills are greatly lacking and they have a lot of growing up to do. For the rest of us in Lakota, the “old timers” the people who have raised children and understand the costs, and appreciate the value of things, we know that a higher tax will destroy our community, so we are opposed. We also know that circumstances do change in the course of a long life, and many of those $5,500 property tax payers will lose their jobs within the decade and will find they are not so well positioned in the future to pay such a high tax. The radicals of further taxation do not have a blank check to attack those of us with logic. They cannot dish out such aggressive advances without expecting to be attacked back. That is simply not how the game is played. Most of the people I know who have been around for a while think such well paid young parents are fools because they are tossing their money away cheaply, without consideration, and we know there will come a time within the next couple of decades that they will pay dearly for their lack of vision. Such people will not be allowed to destroy our community with their short-sightedness.

But I am personally glad that at least Ben sees the logic of the situation, and it is my hope that the school board will finally begin to manage the money we give them, and not put the community through another bloody levy battle, because there are homes that need to be sold, and leases that need to be signed. Lakota just graduated a lot of students, and there are not more students coming in behind those, so Lakota is looking at a whole decade of declining enrollment and the layoff of hundreds of future employees. A new tax will not be needed for many, many years. Hopefully, the school board will now listen to the 18,000 who voted against the last levy attempt and not the 80 crazy radicals who make a lot of noise, but not much sense. Because the fate of our community will be determined by what happens in 2012 and 2013, and a tax increase would send our district into the category of Princeton, and Evandale, instead of Indian Hill. The choice is always structured around tax rates, because that is the blood of an economy. And it takes leadership to see that blood flow, and be willing to do the hard things to preserve the future with the least restriction to the economy as possible.

There is of course more to the story, which will be revealed soon.  But for now, there may be a small period of peace before Lakota seeks again to ask for higher taxes in the form of a levy.   If Lakota does good things, I’m happy to report those here as well as the bad things.  But Lakota has to give me good things to report, like turning two six figure salary positions into one, to help balance the budget as they did with the assistant superintendent positions.  So we’ll see what the future holds, but it’s a good start to hear Lakota talking about managing the money they already have instead of trying to solve their management problems with higher taxes.
