The Answer to “Statism”: Rick Stevens from ‘Tail of the Dragon’

Statism

The political expression of altruism is collectivism or statism, which holds that man’s life and work belong to the state—to society, to the group, the gang, the race, the nation—and that the state may dispose of him in any way it pleases for the sake of whatever it deems to be its own tribal, collective good.

–The Ayn Rand Lexicon

I know my son-in-law cringes when he comes to my house and sees my political signs for president Mitt Romney, Ohio Supreme Court Sharon Kennedy, State Representative Margie Condit, and Senator Josh Mandel in preparation for the upcoming election. Since he has become a citizen of The United States he has moved politically toward libertarians in a quest for the kind of American freedom he always dreamed about. He cringes because to him the entire American complex of statism is a failure and is destined to be replaced with elements of anarchy or fall into an out-right empire one step away from collapse. In fact, he wrote a wonderful article on statism complete with 5 very important videos that can be seen at this link:

http://abundanttruth.wordpress.com/2012/10/24/statism-is-dead

My son-in-law and I have had many hours of conversations about these issues and I know where he’s coming from. On the other hand, out of those four signs in my yard, I know two of those politicians personally, and they along with many of the media I also know in Cincinnati, business owners, and other politicians, are wondering if I have moved too far to the right and have become an extremist since most of my conversation these days are anti-communist history lessons, progressive bashing, and a determined desire to defund government at every level with severe tax decreases. Over the last three years they have watched me make very valid arguments that once uncovered have made me very angry. And being the kind of person who fixes things—which I have done my entire life from dishwashers to businesses, the evidence cannot be escaped—America is being crushed by statism and pretending that it isn’t a problem won’t make the problem go away.

Many of the people who know me best wonder how I went from a levy fighter of great respect to a radical right-winged extremist (in their view) to the author of the new novel Tail of the Dragon. The answer is that my new novel is my answer to the statism problem I discovered in those previous endeavors without going to the extreme example shown on my son-in-laws displayed videos by Stefan Basil Molyneux. I understand what Molyneux is proposing and why. But I also understand that his view is radically different from what mainstream Americans view as reality that they will simply reject the ideas as dangerous to protect themselves from responsibility of action. But Stefan is right about state run schools advocating terrorism, Stefan is right about taxation being the weapon of larger government for an end only onto itself. He’s also right about the free-range slavery. I know he’s right because I have seen the process up close and personal and can verify the truth.

My answer was to write the novel Tail of the Dragon using the character of Rick Stevens to serve as the vehicle to showing how statism crushes individuality. By having Stevens be the type of character who had grown into manhood without ever being emotionally, or physically broken at any point in his life, to show what the idea kind of man could or should be not only in America, but in the world, I needed a character and a story to hold the image valiantly. Stevens in the Tail of the Dragon is as close to a perfect man as I can imagine making it into his middle years after having children, maintaining a career, maintaining a marriage, paying a mortgage yet never giving up on his pursuit of individual freedom. For Stevens, he had a car which sat in his garage that served as a symbol of freedom from his youth, before taking on the obligations of all the above which are normal for most people. Rick Stevens knows that he is a member of society being deliberately farmed as a serf but he has maintained his resistance in as healthy a fashion as possible, so not go insane—or lose himself along the way.

The plot of Tail of the Dragon almost follows point for point without intending to the issues described in Stefan Molyneux’s videos, even to the point of Stevens being arrested for not joyfully participating in an elaborate tax scheme perpetuated through police traffic citations and being thrown in jail for it. While in jail he is abused in the way that Molyneux suggested, except that Rick fights back and gets himself into all sorts of trouble because he simply refuses to submit. This is what leads Rick Stevens to provoke and flee the law into what becomes the greatest car chase in story telling history

People are often shocked to learn that most of what Rick Stevens went through in the book I have seen firsthand, and is not the work of over-the-top fiction. The plot of Tail of the Dragon is not a commentary on anarchy even though Rick Stevens and his wife Renee openly, and quit audaciously break every law known to the legal system. But it is an attempt to show the reader through a likeable character in Rick Stevens what the world could look like if a person could break free of those chains of serfdom that Molyneux speaks about in his presentations. Rick Stevens is not happy to live as a free-range servant to statism and he seeks to do something about it“.

Additionally, what is different about Tail of the Dragon that sets it apart from other car chase epics in films like Smokey and the Bandit, The Dukes of Hazzard, or even Speed is that the hero has fans working behind the scenes in politics who want what he wants, they don’t wish to be a part of statism, even though they are the people who have helped build such a condition. Often, just like in real life, they find they are servants to a system that grew beyond their control and they do desire to do something about it. Most of the people I know in politics, and the media, are these kinds of people and fancy themselves as free thinkers even though in public they show something else completely. Even people I know in labor unions and on the opposite side of me in political issues are good people when spoken to one on one. Even my most diabolical rival, the superintendent at Lakota Karen Mantia and I had a nice discussion once about motorcycle riding and the island of Key West on more civil shores of political discourse. But what makes these people bad, or evil are the institutions they serve, the steps toward statism that they help build—most of the time without knowing it.

Tail of the Dragon is my answer to three years of needing to put into an artistic format these very difficult problems in a summary that fits contemporary life. If my desire is to fix the problem, I have realized that such a thing cannot be done conventionally, through political office, serving as yet other state lobbyists for specific causes, or even picking a political side and sticking with it indefinitely. The character of Rick Stevens in Tail of the Dragon does not turn his back on his country, as is the temptation regarding his anger over statism. Instead he takes the $20 million dollars he acquires and restores his old car, the symbol of his own private independence into a war machine against the state—against America—but he paints on the roof of his car the old Spirit of 76 flag from the American Revolution to make it clear that he is not giving up on the ideas that founded the freest nation on earth, but rather the mechanism that drove it toward an imperial tyrant headed for its own destruction through statism. His fight for freedom is the fight of every man, woman, and child in the world and it is through him that the reader touches the face of life without the chains imposed by statism upon their minds and bodies.

For me personally, even though I am a bit of a recluse these days not socializing much around town, lashing out at latté sipping prostitutes with real anger, my signs in my front yard are my own personal Spirit of 76 flags declaring that I am still willing to fight for the kind of ideas that built America, even if the system is flawed. I will support those politicians who favor the lowest possible taxes, since it is low taxes that directly fight statism. The minute those candidates support any taxes, they will become my mortal enemy, because in real life I want to see an end to statism and would prefer to bring it about legally even if the extraordinary fantasy shown in Tail of the Dragon attacked statism directly, and gallantly with a fanfare that is dynamic. It is no secret that the ambition in that novel comes from the heart of the author in a frustration observed with real eyes that watched more than one election produce results edging American more toward the abyss of cataclysm than ever produced success. But there is a romantic in me that keep hoping for success, and is manifest in the actions of Rick Stevens in the action packed novel, Tail of the Dragon. In real life, I will vote for people who I think will buy into my anxiety against statism today, or who I think might listen and become converted tomorrow.

The thinking that is required is not one fashioned from team sports, public education, or any other collective organization—because they all point toward a social disposition of statism. As radical as such a concept might appear, only a philosophy against statism will preserve America and serve as the beacon of light the world expects. That is why it is no longer important who thinks what, who belongs to what group, or what political affiliation anybody is. What matters is whether or not individuals are dedicated to freedom for the real sake of it, and not the contrived definition sold as modern serfdom. All that matters is that people get their minds around the necessity to think differently and it is my hope that Rick Stevens will help the pill go down a little bit easier so that the journey toward understanding can begin.

The face of nature and civilization in this our country is to a certain point a very sufficient literary field. But it will yield its secrets only to a really grasping imagination. . . . To write well and worthily of American things one need even more than elsewhere to be a master.

‘Tail of the Dragon’ Interview on the Doc Thompson Show: Detroit is a “WAR ZONE.”

“Tail of the Dragon is a cross between Smokey and the Bandit, and Mr. Smith Goes to Washington.” That’s what I told Doc Thompson during his 1270 AM radio show in Detroit during the interview that can be heard below at the link. Doc Thompson and I go back a few years, and have fought many school levy battles and public union campaign issues on the airwaves of radio. Doc had me on to discuss a new crisis that is going on in Detroit where the police presence is advocating its support of Proposal 2, which is a state constitutional change to guarantee collective bargaining rights for public employees. Ironically this is one of the major villains that have wrecked the economy of Detroit leaving the town a devastated “war zone.” My visit to the Doc Thompson Show came on the heels of a police union stunt headed by Joe Duncan who had 400 of his officers passing out fliers to fans of the Tigers first playoff game against the Oakland A’s, declaring the city unsafe for entry. Doc and I had seen this kind of behavior before with Senate Bill 5 in Ohio during 2011, and it just so happened that this kind plot line matched the story of my new book.

On the flier Joe Duncan and his officers declared “Enter Detroit at Your Own Risk,” as fans poured into Comerica Park. “Detroit is America’s most violent city and the city’s police force is grossly understaffed.” The intention of the fliers was the old fear game that all public unions use to advance their cause—which is not safety, but financial security. Unions on the backs of the unwitting participants such as Duncan and his officers are caught up in a plot to hatch communism in America designed long ago, and has been gradually accepted over a long period of time using fear tactics of terrorism to advance their agenda. The protesting police officers don’t care about the history of communism. They are working a dangerous job, and they simply want to get paid as much as they can for doing that job. From their perspective it’s only fair. But what they don’t understand, or have the historical background to decipher is the communist infiltration in America during the Red Decade of the 1930’s brought labor unions and collective bargaining ideas to the closest thing of pure capitalism ever known in the world and corrupted it with the taint of collectivism.

Proposition 2 in Michigan is attempting to go the opposite way as Wisconsin, Ohio and Indiana who are all working to reform their public unions from extortive control over public services. Seeing the writing on the wall, the Michigan public unions are seeking to protect themselves from these changes by putting “collective bargaining” into the state constitution, which is why the police were at the Tiger’s playoff game looking for sympathy and votes for Proposition 2. They want to ensure that collective bargaining is in place for their entire careers, because it represents why they got into public service in the first place—because the money is great and the retirements come early and is profitable. But what they don’t know is that collective bargaining is the direct result of the Bolshevik Revolution started in Russia in 1917 and is a product of communism. Most likely the police passing out fliers at the baseball game have never heard of a Bolshevik let alone read the Ayn Rand classic about the start of communism in Petrograd from her novel We The Living. I would doubt they read a TV Guide let alone a 75-year-old novel that describes why the police are the modern-day pawns of the communism movement in America.

Detroit is not dangerous because of the amount of police there are. Detroit could hire a 1000 police and they still could not stop all the crime that is happening there. What is happening to Detroit is the same thing that has destroyed the Soviet Union and is currently destroying China. It’s the same thing that has wrecked the economies of Greece, Spain and is about to push France under—which is the influence of Socialist International as a political party advocating a world-wide push toward global communism. In the past Detroit had too many labor unions, so the business left to manufacture in regions where the labor is cheaper. Taxes are too high, there are too many public housing developments, there is simply too much government involvement. Detroit is a victim of socialism and the destructive experiments of communism coming out of the Red Decade. It is those policies of social engineering that had destroyed the Motor City which once boasted a thriving economy into the crime ridden battleground that it is today. It is those same policies that created collective bargaining and a gradual acceptance of communist thought in America hidden on the backs of trusted public sector workers like firefighters, cops and teachers. The blueprint for this Trojan horse of communism in America was outlined in the book We The Living published in 1936 and Detroit is the result of the communist attempt in America.

This was all predicted by Richard Cloward, which I discussed in my book Tail of the Dragon using the fictional Governor Wellington Royce to pontificate the frustrations that many progressives feel to this very day, which is people have unpredictably voted with their feet. Cloward wished to collapse capitalism in the 1960’s in favor of a communist insurrection by toppling the American economy that was overwhelmed with welfare demands. In Detroit, as in every major city in the United States with the exception of New York and Los Angeles, the people with money did as the producers in the book Atlas Shrugged did; they left and took their money with them when taxes became too high. When the money and businesses that made the money left Detroit because of the unions, both public and private, the high taxes, the government bureaucracies, it left Detroit with only the poor government dependents to pay into the tax base draining the city budgets, and crime has exploded as a result. These are hard concepts to discuss which is why I placed them into the context of a very intense story in my book Tail of the Dragon. Detroit is only the most obvious victim of these progressive policies that have masked the intentions of communist infiltration in America.

Detroit is in trouble today because they let themselves be seduced by the fear mongering of many public workers like Joe Duncan in the past, which used fear the same way that a terrorist does, to change social behavior. The crime is high in Detroit because the productive people who created jobs and made all the money in the city left, only to leave the weak to fend for themselves on government programs in perpetual need of more money from a tax base no longer present. Joe Duncan and his officers only want to get paid, because their union has made promises to them that they accepted as an American idea, even though collective bargaining was born in Petrograd, Russia at the start of the communist revolution that began in 1917. The result of such communist dreams is the condition of present day Detroit.

The best thing that Detroit could do for itself is to rid itself of public unions, collective bargaining, and lower tax rates so businesses might wish to return. Detroit needs to create economic stimulation so that the poor and jobless can have a job and become a part of the free enterprise system and force government to get out of the compassion business. Compassion cannot be created by government or enforced through force, and that is at the heart of collective bargaining. It is only good for the recipients of a government pay check. It is treacherous for those who have to actually pay the bill. With that said the worst thing Michigan could do in this upcoming election is vote in favor of Proposition 2. Voters in that “dangerous” city will have to take a hard-line in the sand and stick to it if they wish to save their city. No amount of tax money, police hires, or increases in government welfare can save them from the Cloward strategy that bankrupted their city for aims that are foreign to most Americans. The only way to save Detroit is by voting NO on all tax increases, and expansion of government services, especially those involving collective bargaining.

Bringing Nothing to an Everything Fight: How Romney Destroyed Obama

Thankfully—slowly, political candidates are learning not to be so nice, and to stick to the facts when debating a progressive, emotional candidate. We have covered this topic in great detail here at this sight, especially in regard to public schools run by progressive labor unions. But on the big stage of the Presidency, politicians have regulated themselves to nice hand shakes and careful jabs marred in politeness since Ronald Reagan was president. That is, until October 3, 2012 when Mitt Romney decimated the hapless Barack Obama in a debate that clearly showed what a businessman with a successful background looks like next to a political activist raised on communism by his parents, grandparents, college professors, and community agitators in Chicago with no experience in even running a fast-food restaurant—let alone an entire country.

I am not a fan of machine politics, and I am not particularly excited about the kind of government that Mitt Romney wishes to bring to The United States. But as far as having an understanding of how the economy works, and business in general, he is clearly the better candidate over Barack Obama, and this was displayed vividly in the first Presidential debate of the 2012 elections. Credit for the victory belongs to Romney. If anyone watching the debates still wishes to vote for Barack Obama it is because they are simply too stupid to understand what was they were hearing.

The reason that Barack Obama lost the debate is because Romney forced Obama to answer factual questions and to stay out of economic theory based on emotion. Romney never let Obama even come close to an emotional argument, and this left Obama defenseless, and alone standing on a stage in front of millions of people utterly decimated. No progressive, not even Bill Clinton can win a debate if they are forced to stick to facts. All progressives require emotional decisions in order to advance their cause, which is why women tend to support Barack Obama over Mitt Romney, because they tend to vote with emotion as they are traditionally more emotionally motivated between the two sexes. In the political game of rock-paper-scissors, facts always smash emotion—100% of the time. The key to beating all progressive causes is to use facts to dismantle the opinions of emotion.

The Romney/Obama debate will forever be the skeleton key that reveals how logic can be used to win debates, and elections. I have used the very same method to beat down the aggressive levy advances of my local school district as the teachers union typically uses emotion to capture the argument without any facts to back their statements. When I forced the topic to logic, they could not win, and they continued after many attempts to maintain their emotional position even when the facts were grossly evident, and at that point the discussion evolved into ridiculousness. When the topic of why a public school was in financial trouble it was not because the state took away funding, it was not because the kids needed the money, it was not because the school needed to hire the best teachers–it was because the school board laid down at the feet of the teachers union and ate out of their hand, which caused the financial crises. There was no other reason which was revealed by sticking to the facts.

When men and women argue typically as husband and wife, the husband usually complains that he loses because he allows the argument to devolve into an emotional one. He loses because he does not stick to the facts, but allows his heart-strings to be yanked and pulled needlessly. This is notoriously prevalent in younger couples who are still immature in their thinking. Older couples tend to learn not to play such games which is what leads to a successful marriage. Progressives have for years used the same perilous tendency to advance socialist causes by using emotion to position their statements in much the same way that women use emotion to beat men in arguments.

But as men who do not allow such emotion to govern their actions, they learn that the best way to maintain their integrity is to stick with the facts of an argument without being pulled into the emotional fray of the women they argue with. They learn that their women actually respect them more for maintaining their integrity without emotion, and such men will learn that their sex life will increase proportionally.

The same rules apply to every facet of life. No business can succeed built of pure emotion. They only succeed with the facts of the matter, the bottom-line numbers. They do not succeed based on theory, they succeed based on fact. The same holds true in an argument between husband and a wife. Yes Aunt Millie will be upset if the wife and her husband do not attend the birthday party for Millie’s second child who lives on the other side of the country. No the couple cannot afford the plane trip at that stage in their marriage. The man should not cave into the crying wife stuck between loyalty to her sister and her husband by charging the plane fair just to keep his emotional wife happy. It might be the nice thing to do, but the couple could not afford it, and no level of emotion can change the fact. No argument can change the fact either. The goal of the argument on behalf of the wife is to convince her husband to let her have things both ways, peace with her sister, and peace with her husband who doesn’t want to fly across the country for a birthday party. The man might gain anger from his wife by stating that her sister should have not moved to L.A when the rest of the family lives in New York and still expect the family to be close, but the sex will be better later, because the wife will respect his honesty.

And the politician can learn an important lesson in that metaphor. Politicians would gain more respect if they were just honest, and didn’t try to pander to the emotions of the voters. Nothing ever gets done with emotional progressives, and the conversation is pointless because they are never rooted in any facts. Politicians who try to play nice and be the good guy either way will end up being crushed by the politician who uses the emotional argument because the opponent will surrender the facts to emotion, which is equivalent to giving up the strategic high ground in favor of kindness, to avoid the conflict. Romney won the debate because he did not allow emotion to dictate the conversation leaving Obama as defenseless as a sobbing woman who is stuck between loyalty to her sister and her husband. Obama is stuck between his communist instructors and the genuine expectations of his supporters. Because he could not fight the facts, because Obama has routinely ignored the facts, he was extremely vulnerable and he was defenseless to debate Romney and this will continue because so long as Obama does not face the facts of his presidency and the economic conditions that surround it, he cannot win a single one. Obama can only win if people chose to ignore the facts. And this is true for virtually every conflict.

Politics will improve dramatically when we are no longer impressed that a politician stuck with the facts and made a compelling argument. I yearn for a day when a politician like Romney and another politician also arguing the facts have a debate that actually is productive instead of a one-sided slaughter like what happened on October 3, 2012 with the emotional Barack Obama. Debates are intended to discover the truth by looking at the facts, not distorting them through the lens of emotion. If Romney continues to debate with facts on his side, the Presidency will clearly be his. This first debate is only the tip of the iceberg of the type of misery dictator Obama is in for between now and the election.

‘Only in America’: Larry the Cable Guy visits ‘Tail of the Dragon’

Only in America starring Larry the Cable Guy filmed an episode that will be shown on August 7th 2013 on The History Channel with my friend Ron Johnson who runs tailofthedragon.com. Ron took Larry on the ride of his life in his Mustang down the Tail of the Dragon and back again in what will surely be a hilarious episode of that upcoming television show featuring unique places and people of America. The Tail of the Dragon, which is the featured location of my new novel of the same name, captures this same spirit only in a literary format that is part of a trend pointing Americans to their cherished landmarks in a rash of patriotism that has only recently been appreciated due to the threat of modern politics to eradicate it.

As Ron was telling about his weekend adventures with Larry the Cable Guy Justin Binik Thomas was reviewing my book version of Tail of the Dragon. Justin Binik Thomas readers here might remember I covered as a victim of the IRS because of his involvement in the Cincinnati Tea Party and the Cincinnati 9/12 project. Justin has attended some of the exclusive Overmanwarrior’s Wisdom meetings in the past and I saw him again at FreePac in Cincinnati where I was signing copies of my new book while also working the Atlas Shrugged Part II booth. I gave Justin a copy since the book had just come out, and I thought he’d enjoy it. He took a week to read it, and then sent me the following email with a blurb that he posted on Amazon.com.

Rich – Your book is exceptional. The race/chase scene had me on the edge of my seat. “Tail of the Dragon” is a dynamic action-packed thriller seamlessly integrating love for America, homage to our history, and true liberty. We ‘live’ it first hand through NASCAResque race through the hills of Tennessee and North Carolina – a trip that captures the hearts of the citizens and even the President of the United States

– Justin Binik-Thomas, Owner, Conservative Media Group

His comments meant a lot to me because like Larry the Cable Guy’s fascination with the Tail of the Dragon as an actual place on the Tennessee/North Carolina border, readers of my novel understand the intent of the story without any difficulty. I didn’t tell Justin much about the book, I simply handed it to him as a gift. Justin didn’t know what to think. He was essentially in the same situation as the average Amazon.com buyer knowing very little about the book or the plot line before reading it.

Needless to say every time a new reader expresses their enjoyment of Tail of the Dragon it gives me great delight, especially when they are coming to the material for the first time. The common reaction that many new readers have is they immediately detect the feeling of Americana that I intended to portray in the story without getting particularly political. The focus of the story is to celebrate what makes an American, not to appeal to any particular political class. Another recent review that showed up on the Amazon.com site in response to another previous comment captured this sentiment.

Lucy Louise says:

I recently read “The Tail of the Dragon” and found the book truly exciting. The author takes the reader on an exciting race for justice that really takes your breath away. I could not lay the book down. My pulse raced as I read to make sure that Rick Stevens completed the race. Normally, I am not a race car fan, but this book kept me right in the car. Mr. Hoffman’s writing skill created visual reality. I hope this book is made into a movie. The ending was perfect. We are looking for a real hero these days and Rick Stevens sure filled the bill. I am buying copies for gifts. Thank you, Mr. Hoffman, for hope. Hope for real patriots that believe our nation is worth saving.

Well Lucy Louise, you are very welcome. The best part of that comment is that the reviewer intends to pass out copies of Tail of the Dragon for presents which is the ultimate compliment. Christmas is coming up and it fulfills my deepest wishes to know that fans of the book think enough of it to give as a present to others. Because the message of Tail of the Dragon is clear, and is often only hinted at in television programs like Larry the Cable Guy’s Only in America. The essence of being an American is an elusive quality that has allowed the meaning to be hijacked by foreign philosophies and it has always been my hope that readers of Tail if the Dragon the novel would find themselves understanding better that rare quality which makes Americans—Americans. By the early comments I have great hope that this task has been executed fully. The story of Tail of the Dragon whether we’re talking about the real place that Larry the Cable Guy filmed his television show at or my fictional novel which explores the concept of freedom demanded by mankind derived uniquely through American philosophy is essentially about the celebration of Americana. The source of the material is the mythical place called Tail of the Dragon located deep in the mountain hills of the Great Smoky Mountains on the western frontier. It is there, where America is as alive as anywhere in the entire country and a place where freedom cries out loudest. The battle lines of politics are as articulate and well-defined there as anyplace on earth.

So thank you Justin and for everyone else who are leaving nice comments on the Tail of the Dragon’s new Amazon.com site. It is for the reasons revealed in those comments that I wrote the book with high hopes to capture an elusive truth known Only in America. So in January look for Larry the Cable Guy’s new TV show featuring the actual Tail of the Dragon from the seat of my friend’s Mustang. But until then and after then, the novel Tail of the Dragon will dig deeper than any cinematography can explore, into the roots of what makes such a place possible, into the heart of an American, and the blood called freedom that feeds them.

Institutional Failure Part 2: The method behind a learned madness

This is part two of an article I wrote two years ago, about the treacherous issue of institutional failure. When I write about the decline of teachers in public education it is not to pick on them, but to place into perspective the nature of their social destruction. (CLICK HERE FOR REVIEW.)  In that previous article I discussed the reason why Key West is considered a paradise due to its lack of rules and any resemblance of institutionalism.

When the discussion of merit between individuality and collectivism is considered, its social manifestations illuminate most dominate in our love of institutions. A love of institutions is collectivism, and carries the most blame for much of the world’s troubles. For instance, I was asked the other day how I felt about the up coming season for my favorite football team The Tampa Bay Buccaneers. My response was that I’d have to wait and see, because the coaching staff was new and I didn’t know what to think without them playing a game yet. The assumption was that I would blindly support The Bucs regardless of performance, which I would consider idiotic. I may root for them but I won’t blindly support any collective entity on the bases of an institutional name.

For instance, supporters of The Cincinnati Bengals have through their institutional support of a losing franchise allowed a bad owner to use tax payer money to fund his financial enterprise putting Hamilton County into serious debt funding Paul Brown Stadium for 8 games a year. The Bengals as an organization are doing the same thing that Lakota and Colerain public schools is doing and that is to use a publics loyalty toward sports to sell institutional support for a larger enterprise. When people support an institution just because of loyalty to a name, they allow themselves to become victims of institutional failure. Radicalized public unions in public school can hide their true intentions behind the patriotism of school pride unified behind a sports team. People do pass school levies over such silly presumptions. Just as they passed a stadium tax in the 90’s to keep the Bengals from leaving only to discovery it would bankrupt Hamilton County. Since the problems are too complex to grapple with fans of the Bengals have decided win, lose, or draw, they are going to support their home town NFL Football team no matter what it costs.

To understand the severity of institutional worship all one needs to do is look at the sex cover-up at Penn State involving Jerry Sandusky. To the degree that seemingly sane administrators protected the institution of Penn State Football, members of the media, and many years worth of alumni all chose to ignore the facts in favor of serving the institution as a collective whole.

The obvious confusion comes in mistaking patriotism with worship. There is a difference in honoring the President of the United States with respect and forgiving the crimes committed by a President because his position is one of institutional honor. Collectivists consider it honorable to show devotion even in the face of wrongdoing. The idea of “taking one for the team” is a commonly accepted rationale among collectivist thinking people. Notice the trend proclaiming that there no I in “team” is rooted in this commitment toward collectivism where the individual is secondary to the “the greater good.”

This is a disease in American culture that is not native to our country. America was founded on individuality and this is why no place else on the face of planet earth has societies of difference cultures, different religions, and different financial backgrounds where they mingle in a free society better than in The United States. The disease comes from the trend of collectivists who embrace a global society under the umbrella of collectivist political philosophies, to point out circumstances in American society where collective groups—such as women, gays, racial minorities are suffering an injustice at the hands individuals, or groups with their roots in classic American individuality.

The trouble is that this collectivism is taught in public education, and it is not healthy for building a strong American culture. When it is said that more money should be spent on education, the quality of the education is not being discussed. Do our schools teach young people to be more like John Wayne, or Alan Alda? Are young women learning to be more like Annie Oakley, or one of the Kardasian sisters? Are men learning to be Alpha males ore beta males? Are women learning to be feminazis or submissive sexual partners? CLICK HERE FOR MORE DETAIL. The answer is of course young people are learning in public school to be collectivists in service to institutions. The only individuals who are honored are those who achieve esteem in sports, because sports is used to carry the illusion of goodness by unified sacrifice for the common good. Our society has allowed this to happen without realizing what was going on, because education was termed in the blanket term of being “good” due to money being spent on it, and jobs created to fill positions in the social endeavor. But it has not been considered if what was being taught is in fact good, and by the evidence of our society’s commitment to collectivism, it has obviously been a failure.

Collectivist tendencies are the direct result of our education system. They are to blame for why there is only a two party political system where one side roots for one set of ideas, while the other party roots for other ideas. Both political parties have the idea of what’s good for the party in their hearts over the well being of the individuals in that party. At the RNC Convention in Tampa the scripted delegates were expected to throw their support behind Mitt Romney instead of Ron Paul out of loyalty to their party, not the individuality of the delegates, and this is a fundamental flaw that has it’s tentacles in every aspect of American society, and it is fundamentally wrong.

The source of the failure is public education. It is there that all of society was taught incorrectly the merits of collectivism, which has turned the quality of education into a brainwashing session of future lost adults cheering on their children’s high school football team even if the coach and players of that team find themselves embroiled in a scandal. In public education, when such a scandal breaks, a sacrificial victim is picked and tossed to the public to appease the gods just as the Aztecs cut out the hearts of their victims hoping to bring rain to their villages. Ask Stacy Schuler about such sacrifices at Mason High School, because the scandal she was involved in involved the entire school. Yet only she went to jail for having sex with half the football team. The football players were looked upon as heroes, while she was disgraced and sent to the gallows so to speak, because she was expected to take one for the team, for the benefit of the Mason School System.

It’s bad on all levels, and yet we still continue to teach collectivism as though it was good for the future of our country, and it’s not. All institutions have the tendency toward collectivism, and are therefore vehicles for evil. Institutions are publicly considered honorable, yet deep in most hearts of human society there is an inherit distrust of them, because at a fundamental level it is acknowledged that the individual is being crushed by the evil encroachment of collectivism. There is an unease in group activities that says that what is happening is wrong, and people cope with it by drinking too much at social events. But it is known by all, even though it’s not understood consciously.

The villain of the matter is public education and it plagues almost every American citizen who came from public education. The modern problem is in understanding to what extent society has plummeted under the flag of collectivism in service of institutions. To understand what impact such a mentality has had on a country of individuals damaged by a philosophy that is fundamentally wrong the evidence is easy to see. To measure the impact, all that needs to be done is to see the damage that institutions inflict on society at large, and to admit that service to them is as foolish as worshiping some Mesopotamian god in the city streets of UR. Institutions are hokey concoctions built by collectivists on a half-baked journey to hells of their own making, upon the backs of individuals.

Doc Thompson reviews Rich Hoffman: ‘The Enquirer’ puts one more step in the grave–part 2

“Tale of the Dragon” is a fun ride with a great message! Rich Hoffman is a rare, consistent, true conservative voice!

Doc Thompson nationally syndicated radio host and regular guest host for the Glenn Beck Program  (CLICK HERE FOR MORE ON DOC THOMPSON)

This article is part 2 of yesterday’s posting. CLICK HERE FOR REVIEW. The quote above from Doc Thompson formally of 700 WLW means a lot to me not only because it helps give me a needed testimonial for my new novel Tail of the Dragon, but because his story is one of how the good guys do win in the end if they simply refuse to stay down on the ground. Back in February while on his honeymoon with Dayton TV reporter Yuna Lee, 700 WLW  fired the 5 time Marconi Award winner. The radio world like the newspaper world, or any other business is full of backstabbing, and internal politics that is driven by commercial interests, egos, and FCC regulations. Doc and I had made a living hell for public education on the flamethowing 50,000 watt radio station, and the unions were very, very pissed off because they couldn’t answer any of the issues we brought up.

When Doc was fired, several of the radio personalities whom I knew fairly well assured me that Thompson was not fired because of his friendship with me, but due to his poor daytime numbers. It has been well documented that many of those same personalities where developing cozy relationships with school board member at Lakota Julie Shaffer who is friends with real estate employee Pam Parino who actually attempted to throw her weight around forcing WLW to support the Lakota Levy back in 2010 using her former ties with the Gary Burbank Show. CLICK HERE TO REVIEW. Pam was seen on the picture to the right further down school board member  Julie Shaffer’s Facebook page, suggesting to send the story to Julie’s friends at WLW, and of course The Enquirer.  Real Estate sales is the common interest that united many of these personalities from WLW  to the levy hounds. Some of the radio hosts have wives who sell homes and those women are friends with people like Parino and Shaffer so the levy advocates were mounting an offensive that was well known.

Around the time that Clark wrote his Enquirer article against me, picking sides in the levy fight at Lakota, Doc was fired and out of a job, Judge Napolitano on Fox Business Network was cut even with its excellent ratings, seemingly because of his relentless support of Ron Paul, and efforts of No Lakota Levy to reach across the political divide in the community to levy supporters to create Yes to Lakota Kids found many insiders playing extreme politics, that was not in the best interest for the community. But Bill Cunningham at 700 WLW whom I was openly very critical of because of his stance on Issue 2 and a Marconi winner of his own, I suspected had something to do with Doc being fired at WLW. Cunningham just signed his deal for his new television show and had shown a tendency to want to move more toward the political center after building a career bashing Democrats—he was changing his tone, and Doc represented a new generation of conservative. Cunningham also is the owner of Willies in West Chester where the levy hounds were visiting him to advocate his support for the next levy.

In February Doc was fired, and in March I was publicly being raked over the coals by the same people who had formally supported me. All one has to do is add up the elements and the conditions are obvious. Radio, like the print news is a competitive business and like any other business, employees seek to eliminate each other with brown nosing and sabotage in order to preserve their own careers, so none of this is sinister, or unexpected. It’s just a fact of life.

The reality is that the citizen journalism was changing the media business. Radio had adapted by using me as a frequent guest through the Doc Thompson Show, but once Doc was no longer at 700 WLW the influences who wanted to wipe the chalkboard clean of him did what they felt they had to do, much to their own ratings detriment. Like The Enquirer, many of the guilty parties will lose their jobs in the years to come because of the decisions they have made, meanwhile people like Doc will continue to be successful, in spite of the attempts against him. Doc, like Peter Bronson whom I spoke about in my previous article on this subject is a quality person, so by running them out of the business, the business of newspapers and radio have much less quality because of it.  See Peter speak here–good stuff, and well worth the time.

As Peter Bronson’s recent speech at the event above reminded me, the motto in the newsroom used to be “never pick a fight with a person or a company who buys ink by the barrel.” The implication is that newspaper people believe that they can put someone under whom they target at a whim. We’ve seen this for years, when a newspaper gets their targets on someone; they look to bury them publicly. In relation to WLW John Kiesewetter has attempted to put Darryl Parks under many times using a lot of ink. There is an arrogance among newspaper reporters, particularly from old, traditional papers like The Enquirer who have seasoned reporters, that they have the power to make or break careers, or pass or fail levy attempts. They forget that it is their job to report the news so a public can make good decisions; instead they sometimes find they attempt to exercise their power of manipulation to a cause they personally support, or desire as a collection of left leaning public policy advocates.

That was the old world of news reporting, but not the way of the new. In the new, the new adage is that “ink no longer has value. Never pick a fight with a person who can type 1000 words every fifteen minutes and can produce 4000 word articles in an hour, and can do it day after day after day.” And when Lakota as a political entity represented by unionized, radical labor picked a fight with me, and attempted to use the old way to beat me, they had no chance, because I can out write them, out-wit them, out-speak them, and when things get violent and nasty behind the scenes I can give it back to them in doses 100X what they initiated, and that is the new way of citizen journalism.

The attack article Michael Clark wrote about me to put me under and get back on the good side of the Lakota Levy supporters was under the assumption that the game we were all playing were to the old rules, where ink was sold by the barrel.  CLICK HERE FOR A REVIEW.

For an example of how it was that day on WLW, below is the audio from the Bill Cunningham Show speaking with Scott Sloan whom I was on the air with earlier—both having a lot of fun with the salacious Enquirer article, as every radio station owned by Clear Channel, even on the FM dial did. I think on one level they understood what I was doing, even though they played like they didn’t. If it is Cunningham’s idea of an insult to call my actions similar to Rush Limbaugh, then I take it in the opposite regard. But Scott and Bill’s conversation is a fascinating study in what is exactly wrong with public education. Scott Sloan was against me in that broadcast for his own reasons, yet he leans toward my view of things in public education even though he is a lot more socially liberal than I am. Cunningham on the other hand made his living being every bit as boisterous and selling himself as a conservative, but actually living his life as a philanthropic progressive. Cunningham is very much a child of Lyndon Johnson’s Great Society, and that society is failing in every category. As a radio commentator and attorney Cunningham has shown that he is able to identify the problem, but both men have found themselves bitten by the modern trend of the male population to behave as Beta Men, even though deep in their hearts, they know better. You can hear it in their discussion; they are torn between what society has taught them and what they actually believe.  Caution, the audio below is very salacious.  Listen with caution.

There was no way to explain it to them on March 15th 2012, but I can now with historical context in the wake of the event. I had tried on the Scott Sloan Show earlier, but only time would prove me correct. More money at the state level will not help public education, and property values must be freed from the education debate because it was emotion that placed it there in the first place, due to radicalized unions and voters believing in The Great Society who helped give them power. It is the insecure new mothers and the beta males that has allowed that trend of emotion to take place and it must stop before an intelligent discussion about education funding can take place. Logic must be introduced into the education debate as opposed to the emotion that currently rules, and to my assessment, it does call for yelling and shouting. Pandering to emotional pleas will not solve the problem, and sometimes you have to call it as you see it, which might hurt some feelings. The context of my prostitution comments are explained in great detail in my new book Tail of the Dragon, which was on my mind at the time, since I was editing the final draft when this story broke, so the metaphor was fresh on my mind. For more detail refer to my article about why women like the book Fifty Shades of Grey.

Like newspapers even radio is limited as corporate managers may or may not support public education reform and can put a gag on talk show hosts to exercise their control over the content, and Cunningham has like a shape shifter over time adjusted his beliefs to the powers that control the station he works for.

Doc Thompson on the other hand has been fired by many radio stations for the simple fact that he does his own thing, and this tends to infuriate management. Yet in spite of that, he is a regular guest host on the Glenn Beck Program, and has just signed a deal with CBS radio to go into national syndication while the people who decided to play nicely, and by the old rules, found themselves always in second place behind those who control the rules. The reason Doc and I became friends with a mutual respect is because neither one of us have any love of the old media rules. We do not lick other people’s boots and we treat those old guard media types with contempt. We forge our own path, and do what we think is right for the sake of it. I know that reporters like Clark who are only given 400 to 500 words to make his point in a paper that is turning into a modern version of Wheeler Dealer, or Jerry Springer type radio shows like Cunningham’s comedy act that wants to be taken seriously at times, but has long ago lost his credibility due to his progressive tendencies are being replaced by media like what people are finding here at Overmanwarrior’s Wisdom, and syndicated programs like The Doc Thompson Show, or GBTV with Glenn Beck.

People don’t want or care about the opinion of a puppet, and when a reporter or radio host shows that they are simply mouth pieces to larger organizations, they lose any power or credibility they thought they had. The desire of management whether it be at Clear Channel, Gannett, or the established political order to maintain their mechanisms of influence are the cause of their own destruction. They may have the short term gain of ratings spikes with sensational stories like the one that involved me, but in the long term people will side with me. They will see the villains are the reporters and talk show hosts who represent the old guard, and that old guard is protecting society from a truth they have helped conceal.

As Peter Bronson told his story of The Enquirer ideocrity letting a reporter of his caliber leave in favor of the average boot licker was the nail that sealed their own coffin, and the decision was not done on behalf of quality, it was done to preserve a political leaning philosophy built on emotion instead of facts, and that philosophy cannot be maintained through hard reporting. WLW did much the same when they elected to preserve the radio tendencies of old by letting new talent like Doc Thompson leave to start his own syndicated show out of Detroit in a competing market. And The Enquirer’s desire to blow my blog out of the water making it seem scandalous and illegitimate as a competing news source backfired in a big way because they failed to realize they were playing by the old rules where I was playing by the new. And in the new, I am free to use the First Amendment to full effect. I do not have advertisers, managers with political view points, aging Marconi Winners fearful of younger Marconi Winners, or any political bureaucracy to hold me back like Michael Clark and other reporters who are unquestionably restrained. Their editors will only give Clark his 500 words because they have to save ad space for the car dealerships, which cheapens the entire news presentation. Adversely, here at Overmanwarrior’s Wisdom I can cover in as much detail the topics I want, and my talent is not restrained by any loyalty to corporate interest. At the projected rate of my readership, I will hit over a million viewers within the next year or two, because people value news in the style that I report it. Some of it is sensational, some of it is traditional, some of it is non political, some of it is pop culture, but the key is that I can decide if I want to cover it or not, and I am not confined to covering only education.

The success of Glenn Beck, and now Doc Thompson is that these news personalities do not allow their explorations of the truth limit them in just the realm of politics. Sometimes the source of the problems spill over into other aspects of society and using the old media rules are never explored. It used to be that a reporter like Michael Clark would use his ink by the barrel to focus only on the immediate issues of education since he’s an education reporter and not a sociology reporter, and not equipped by his editor to comment on such matters, even though some of the desire for a school levy is a sociological problem and not an economic one. Clark cannot explore that line of thought because The Enquirer will not allow it. So readers wanting to know more about what’s going on in the world turn to my 800 articles with over 1200 words each to learn the real story and that is what’s changing from the old way to the new.

As the newspapers decline more sites like mine are rising up and each have their own spin, and are directly competing with traditional newspapers in the Cincinnati area. All these sites have been created within the last two years and are a direct reaction to the news that “doesn’t” get reported.

An impressive list and as I think about it, most of them were inspired by the work that Doc and I did on 700 WLW, and Darryl Parks on Saturdays. Listening to us on the radio helped inspire some of them to get involved and do their own thing as a citizen journalist. It may have cost Doc his job but in the long run he is far better off now than he was when he worked as a second fiddle to Willie Cunningham who appeared to be  protecting the “old guard.” My view of all this competition is the more the merrier, the world benefits when there is competition of ideas in a free marketplace. But when there is an attempt to eliminate competition, like what The Enquirer has attempted to do which was picked up by local radio, people can see through the act for what it is.

That is big trouble for entities like school systems controlled by powerful public unions who desire with all their heart and souls to keep the facts of their situation vague, and using Saul Alinsky methods of manipulation have learned how to frame an argument to the 500 words of a Michael Clark Enquirer article so that the truth never gets out, and it never gets discussed on the radio where talk show hosts looking for content to fill their three hour time slots look for new material. In this way the old guard was able to keep problems from being solved and prohibit a competition of ideas through methods such as the ones used against me by the Enquirer and 700 WLW as heard in the interview above. But for a little while, when Doc Thompson was employed at WLW, there was a good run of good material that helped start a new wave of journalism, that of the citizen journalist, where my material was sourced by WLW and the Enquirer until the heat became too great, yet everyone but the crooks benefited. And the window stayed open just long enough to evolve into a new direction which Peter Bronson spoke about as the media is changing before our eyes, and the old way may have barrels of ink, but the paper they put it on is worthless. Now, it is those who can produce 1000 to 3000 words in an hour who may lack knowledge of the rules of the game taught in journalism classes, but have the passion to write things that the rules wouldn’t otherwise allow under the old way.

Competition is good, it is the ultimate referee. If people decide they’d rather read a 1700 word article I write about school levies in Monroe or Lakota than the ass kissing diatribes of the typical Enquirer article emotionally pleading for more money by quoting a looting superintendent who threatens to cut off info to a reporter for not writing articles favorable to public education, then the people have decided, and the numbers on my end are good—very good. When the traditional reporter who looks for softball reporting by reading all their info from a press release given to them by public relations specialists working at a public school, and not doing any hard reporting discovers they are out of a job because they struggled all day to come up with a 500 word article when I can produce a 3000 word article like this one before they have their first cup of coffee in the morning, the fault is on them.

The lesson here is to never pick a fight with a person who can out-write, out-wit, out-maneuver, out-work, out-talk, out-think, and has the physical stamina of an entire news room. Not a good idea because the advocates of such prodding will surely find themselves swimming in their barrels of ink as the papers it was intended for lay unsold and useless in the press room.

Thanks Doc Thompson for the kind words. The Doctor will live on, as will Overmanwarrior’s Wisdom with my latest project, the Tail of the Dragon. As to those other characters, time is not on their side as the sand is almost out of the hourglass. All the ass kissing in the world won’t make the taste of shit they’ve been swallowing and dishing out for their entire careers worth it. And all the dollars in a retirement account or poolside margaritas won’t be strong enough to wash away the taste.  My apoplectic utterances here at Overmanwarrior’s Wisdom, especially in the wake of Michael Clark’s choice in The Enquirer, can produce more words by the hour than my competition on a  wider range of topics that actually connect the dots, instead of avoiding them.  So what follows now was a choice made from a foolish love of an ancient, and archaic bedfellow–old school politics in a society that is sick of it.

The Twentieth Century Intellectual: Banning Bake Sales for Children

How do we know that public education and our colleges have been complete and utmost failures and do not deserve one more dime of tuition hikes or tax increases? How do we know our federal government staffed with generations of employees “taught” in these education institutions are abysmal in their ability to perform even basic tasks needed in a business/political economy and are treacherously deficient in their abilities? It’s easy just look at the results produced. Our society has arrived at a level of utmost chaos that defies common sense, and we have the educrats and government bureaucrats of our socialist leaning society to thank for it.

Glenn Beck in the video clip below from his Oval Office series discusses in great detail how the government has stepped in to ban “bake sales,” for the good of the nation. And it’s not adults, or even teenagers that are attracting attention from the long arm of government these days. No, the biggest threat of tax avoidance and those pesky permit fee evasion violators that pay the salaries of thousands of middle level bureaucrats are 9 to 10 year old children. That’s what the government is cracking down on now. Look for yourself!

Common sense isn’t even on the radar these days, and after watching that video, big changes are needed in our society immediately. A society has failed when it seeks out 9 year old children to loot off of, because the adults are picked dry and cannot alone carry the burden the government employee mandates on society to sustain their socialist, European lifestyle. A society has failed utterly when it is children who are made to suffer at the hands of a poorly conceived philosophy advocated by the twentieth century intellectual. When you see one, give them your thanks.

Coffins in Atlanta: Alex Jones discovers the end game of a massive government extermination plan

Many people these days will say that Alex Jones is out of his mind and is a radical conspiracy theorist. Unfortunately, many of the people who say those things have decided in their own lives to choose the lethargic path of complacency and blind trust in what government tells them. They find it inconvenient to believe that politicians like John Edwards was openly lying to many around him for many years over his mistress, and Obama is currently lying about his birth certificate. CLICK HERE TO FIND OUT HOW.

It’s not to say that Obama wasn’t born in the United States, but he’s hiding something, because his birth certificate that he offered the public is a fake—without question. So we know that politicians will lie and mislead even those closest to them, so why do the masses of society chose to believe that such personalities would be truthful, even when you stare into their eyes. Bill Clinton lied to the entire nation on every single network on prime time television, he lied to a federal prosecutor, and then he twisted the truth every which way but loose once he got caught in the mountain of lies that were stacking up in the 90’s. CLICK HERE FOR REVIEW.

Politicians will tell the American public to their faces that the NDAA Act was done for their safety, yet there is evidence that some factions of our own government are preparing for a mass extermination of American citizens right now. Below Alex Jones has visited the site where massive amounts of generic coffins have been placed in a field near the Atlanta airport. Listen to Alex’s report carefully, because he addresses many of the questions you might have as a natural skeptic.

A logical person upon hearing this will ask, “but why would our government want to kill it’s citizens? And why would they be preparing for thousands upon thousands of deaths by stock piling these coffins all over the United States?” Well, that would be a good question. But like most people reading this we were taught in public school to follow our assignments and not to question things too much. We were taught to stand quietly in line and do what we’re told, so it should come as little surprise that millions upon millions of Americans chose not to see coffins being stationed for some future catastrophe near a major metropolitan area.

The question everyone should ask is that “what proof is there that we SHOULD trust what government officials tell us about NDAA and the FEMA coffins shown in Alex’s investigation.”  The track record of honesty is not good between government and the people they serve, so by nature of logic, there is very little we should trust—and we should demand to know why our tax money is spent on such things, instead of just looking the other way because the reality of such a sight is unbearably grotesque. I personally do not find it hard to believe that members of our government would use FEMA to exterminate massive amounts of Americans with a deadly virus, or even under martial law using the NDAA to justify the violence. I say this because I also know that there are many well-known philanthropists who have their fingers in politics and believe that the world is over populated and needs to be reduced to protect the planet from evil human beings.

To me, those types of comments are far more extreme than Alex Jones walking around a field in Georgia wondering why there are so many containers made by a coffin company sitting around with no place to go. The evidence adds up to something sinister that can only be indulged in by speculation.

That brings us back to our original question, why would politicians in government be willing to kill Americans? Corrupt politics are one thing, but to commit mass murder is another? If history is known, as I know it, mass murder of political dissidents by tyrannical government is not new. You can see how many countries and how many deaths have occurred in just the 20th century that are documented at the Wikipedia link below. God only knows how many there have been under governments that hid a majority of the deaths from official counts.  Members of the Obama administration have shown that they openly endorse the governments of Stalin and of Mao Zedong which is extremely alarming considering it was Mao who during the land reform and counterrevolutionary campaign in communist China envisaged that one tenth of the peasants would have to be destroyed to facilitate agrarian reform.  That meant the death of 50 million people.  In the Soviet Union under Stalin that number was 20 million.  Those are the results of communism which many thousands of current college students, labor leaders, and university professors are begging for now.  And to put those numbers in perspective, consider that there are just over 11 million people in the entire state of Ohio.  There are members of the intellectual elite in America right now, within the circle of associates that surround the President willingly who also believe as Stalin and Mao have, and are willing to destroy American lives to facilitate their version of social reform, because their focus is not on the individual lives of American citizens, but on the “collective body” of America as a whole, where sacrifice is acceptable as “collateral damage.”

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mass_killings_under_Communist_regimes

What all the mass deaths have in common in the world is communism as the fundamental political intention. While American citizens will laugh at the idea that their lives could ever be infected with such concerns they do not see the phantom threat that is right in front of their faces—communism is alive and well in the United States and it is thriving in our public schools and our government, and it is a significant threat to the capitalism that built the America we all consider to be unsinkable.

At this site I have covered many statistics which indicate that the United States economy has been deliberately sabotaged by communist sympathizers working in our government. This is not a far-fetched notion, as President Obama is in love with communism. His policies are publicly sold as socialism disguised under the term “progressive” but he governs like a communist reminiscent of Lenin paving the way for a future Stalin. Knowing how these extreme progressives think, I do not find it far-fetched to believe they wish to repeat history in America by subterfuging capitalism with communism. Such insurrections always mean death to those who don’t accept communism so by looking at history and studying the policies of our current government, it is not at all a reach to understand what Alex Jones is trying to bring to public awareness. Such thoughts are not convenient, but they are a reality.

Still, many Americas will still refuse the evidence. They will still want to trust that such a massive insurrection will be stopped by the checks and balances system in our government. But that would be a serious folly. Many of our politicians have committed so many crimes that they lack any moral will to do anything about this communist build-up. The most trustworthy politician I have ever met in my life is Rob Portman, the current leading man for the vice presidency, and the eyes of the man I sat with in a WLW studio debate 20 years ago bright-eyed and forward-looking are not the same eyes I see today, beaten down and withered by machine politics. So many of these good men become lost in the maze of chaos that is Washington politics designed exclusively to enrich the politicians who have designed it, that those wealthy looters are prepared to abandon America in a whim and flee to a Switzerland and plead their allegiance to the United Nations to escape the wrath of the American people once it’s realized that the game is over. CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFO.

The protection is gone America. You have communists who are ready to wipe capitalism off the face of the earth functioning in our highest offices. You have politicians who have stolen so much money from the public treasury that they will abandon their American loyalty to avoid prison sentences in a moment. And we have highly motivated enemies all over the world licking their chops to see America fall from grace so they can rise to power in the void left behind. Make no mistake about it dear reader. There are sinister people right now planning your death. They have the ability to lie to your face because they do not believe in your God, so they can look into the camera and lie. Placing their hands on a Bible means nothing when the content of the symbol lacks meaning to them so sincerity even under such oath is negligible. And these people do hate Americans. In their minds, destroying capitalism is the same as eradicating a devil in the eyes of a devil. The battle ground is truly formed along a line of ideology, and adopting their way will not save your life. They will still try to kill you even if you decide to play nicely. The “they” in this case are all the radicals of the world who wish to see capitalism wiped from the earth. They hate capitalism to such an extent that they will do anything to remove it from their eyes, so the guilt of their own ineptitude doesn’t drown them in sorrow.

There will come a day when the meaning of those coffins will become known, and on that day, you better know what you’re willing to do to preserve your life. If you choose today to eradicate socialism and its roots of communism from your life, you stand a chance of not having to deal with those coffins. But if you let the enemy any closer, there will come a day when every one of those coffins and more are filled with the bodies of your friends and neighbors, and you will wish you had more courage when it really counted and cared less about what Kobe Bryant did in last nights basketball game.

REVIEWS  BY PEOPLE WHO HAVE READ THE BOOK.

Not long ago Darryl Cannon, known all around central Tennessee as Killboy took this picture of my wife and I slaying the Dragon for our first time. The road famously known as the Tail of the Dragon was such an exciting, and unique experience that it prompted me to make it the subject of my next action novel, which is about to hit bookstores everywhere!

I have since been back to slay the Dragon several times now and have come to know Killboy and Ron Johnson featured in the below video from The Discovery Channel called Hell Roads. Ron Johnson in fact was one of the first people who read the manuscript of my novel after extensive research of the area brought me into contact with Ron and Killboy to such an extent that Killboy has now been inserted into the novel as a supporting character. My publisher agreed to the late change to the manuscript which is now closed and off to production.

A novel about a place like the Tail of the Dragon must be exciting. Nothing less would be acceptable. But if early readings of the book are any indication, it appears that I may well have achieved my original goal and written what may become known as the most exciting—action packed novel in the history of the written word—and I am very proud of it. In fact, here is what Ron Johnson said after he read the early version of the novel!

Rich:

Just finished the book and am sweating profusely. Wow, what a ride !!!

Fasten your seat belts for one of the most thrilling rides ever in print. A must read for anyone who has resented being ticketed, especially on the Dragon.

It was Ron who suggested inserting Killboy into the story. Once Killboy agreed to my use of his likeness, we were off to yet another major manuscript change coming in the final approval from my editor. Luckily my editor and publisher saw my reasoning for inserting Killboy into the fictional story of the greatest car chase to ever be conceived in print or the silver screen, because whenever one visits the Tail of the Dragon, Killboy is a big part of the overall area mythology.

In the book it is Killboy who starts what becomes billions of dollars in destruction and a political struggle that ends up all the up to the Oval Office of the White House over a simple bet. And the bet was not a hefty sum of money—but just an average hot dog that would become responsible for starting a war in America.

The book features a $20 million car that is the ultimate super hot rod but is “environmentally friendly” as it’s 700 HP engine runs off vegetable oil–another first for a story involving high-speed car chases. The story itself is dedicated to all the thrill seekers, hopeless romantics, law breakers, freedom fighters, would-be-race car drivers, back-woods philosophers, young people proving what they’re made of, and the middle-aged rediscovering their loves and passions. It’s a book dedicated to those who are sick of politics and the terrible scam of traffic tickets. This book is dedicated to everyone who fears getting pulled over by the police and has had to suffer through the pain of paying an expensive ticket. This book gives the reader the opportunity to do what everyone wishes they could do—and that’s fight back!

All that and more ended up in the final draft that just inserted Killboy’s character into the story. Everyone involved is extremely happy with the results. In fact you can read what the copyeditor had to say about her recent read of Tail of the Dragon at the below link, as well as other articles I’ve written throughout the development of the process from the time that Killboy took the picture of my wife and I, up untill the early version of the press release. Examining these links will take you deeper into the lore of the Tail of the Dragon and give you great insight into what my exciting new book is all about and why it will soon become a must read. Why my novel Tail of the Dragon takes place on THE FOURTH OF JULY!

The book will soon be available for pre-orders all over the country and I will pass that information along as my publisher gives it to me. It will be available wherever books are sold, so it will not be difficult to find. It is my pleasure to offer such an exciting work that I put a great deal of time and effort in. The book started off as a giant manuscript of well over 100,000 words, but my editor and the rest of the staff realized that the meat of Tail of the Dragon was in the iconic car chase which does not yield character development to action, but rather pays respect to both. I have read a lot of books over the years and in the year that Killboy took the picture of my wife and I on the Dragon we road our motorcycle nearly 10,000 miles that summer on roads from the shores of Lake Erie to the end of US 1 in Key West. And my reason for going to Key West was not to drink beer in the Bull and Whistle, but to see Hemingway’s home because I’ve always loved Ernest Hemingway as a writer. It is not my intention to be a simple dime store novelists but one who seriously examines the deep subjects of philosophy. But, who says that has to be a boring enterprise? I want my readers to have fun along the way and to come back for another ride. In Tail of the Dragon, it would seem I more than pulled it off.

Fans do not have to wait for the book to come out however to begin enjoying the Tail of the Dragon. My friend Ron Johnson has Tail of the Dragon t-shirts and posters for sale right now so feel free to visit him and check out all the exciting merchandise he has to offer. His site of course is one of the places that my Tail of the Dragon novel will be featured. Check it out!

As can be seen from the above photos the making of Tail of the Dragon took me on a journey to many places to capture the feeling of independence articulated in the novel.  Every hard mile was worth it as the results ended up on the printed page of Tail of the Dragon, coming very soon!

The Imperial City: Glenn Beck’s address from The Oval Office

Washington D.C. makes one product and nothing else—government. Without the American tax payer government is nothing. Yet over time, those who have built their lives in and around government and the inventions of government—more government–have come to think of themselves as kings and queens, lords and ladies—as my friend Doc Thompson terms them from his Detroit radio program, (click here to learn more about Doc Thompson.) Those elitist government types now believe they are the support structure of our nation and that the entire world exists to serve their narrow-minded needs. And a good friend of Doc Thompson’s is Glenn Beck who has done what he promised in the above clip and started delivering addresses that America badly needs to hear from an Oval Office that he has dedicated to the people of The United States. This Oval Office is for those who have found themselves abandoned and manipulated by powers who wish to end our very way of life. So enjoy Glenn Beck’s first address from this new Oval Office called The Imperial City and take the first step to restoring a nation that badly needs our help.
