The Merits of Dueling:

As I have said, I have been working on a new book called the Gunfighter’s Guide to Business and I’m about halfway through it.  For my readers of a long time here who have been sending me a lot of emails missing the daily articles, they will return.  But I offer this little sample of this “gunfighter” project to give a taste of what is to come.

The concept of getting “satisfaction” from a personal insult went a long way to establishing honor and proper conduct among business transactions, in the time before modern rules as we know them today. As we have seen often where various religions and their value are not unified, and therefore cannot be expected to hold up in a court of law, there needs to be a mechanism that brings about honor and to hold it into the context of moral conduct where villainy will quickly grow like a weed in a garden of dreams. Dueling in the classic sense, especially in the New World during the time of the American Revolution was an answer to this problem. And if there is an argument against the American Constitution for changes, it was in the original rules of the nation that mechanisms of honor were already established before the courts were needed.

In doing business in the orient, particularly in Japan where honor is still a respected trait, business transactions are accelerated because the interactions mean something with one another. This is obvious at the airports around Tokyo among men and women as respect is a universal language that makes interactions between people start on common ground. In the West we have allowed our own culture of respect to drift away into the more centralized regulation of the state which outlawed the practice of dueling essentially so that lawyers could profit off the instillation of justice. The cost was that individual satisfaction for an insult did not get the respect it deserved while the emphasis was on protecting society from itself by settling matters in a court of law. This has led our culture to adapt into a more passive aggressive society where trust isn’t always easy to find in other people. It could be argued that we were all better off when we tried to openly kill each other to protect a slight against our individual names.

Dueling was so common at the start of America that the governor of South Carolina wrote a book on it to make sure everyone did it right called The Code of Honor: Or Rules for the Government of Principals and Second in the Art of Dueling in 1834 by John Lyde Wilson. Dueling in the time of the Revolutionary War was quite common. While it was slowly going out of style at the start of the invention of a republic form of federal government once George Washington took office, in the South, particularly in Charleston, South Carolina where so many important battles occurred in defining freedom during the start of the new nation, dueling was so common that the governor felt compelled to create some legal means of settling disputes, which sounds barbaric compared to our modern legal system, but in hindsight seemed to generate more responsible people on an individual level. This certainly helped in business commerce, because if a business deal went bad, the parties may find themselves in the streets fighting to the death to obtain their satisfaction.

The important aspect of satisfaction is that the emphasis was on the individual reputations of the participants. It wasn’t some third party “state” that decided justice, it was the people at the heart of the conflict, and in many ways, society was more honorable. People had to treat each other individually better as a result. The more the states intruded on management of the affairs of people the more passive aggressive disputes have become leaving business conduct to suffer greatly. After the Civil War it was particularly immigrants from the South who moved West in search of gold and other opportunities, and they took with them the concept of dueling that had been very much a part of early American life. Dueling with fast draw had with it a way of bringing honor where there wasn’t yet law and it forced people to treat each other better and more honorably which is why there is still reverence for it.

At the state level we can all see today that the concept of taking honor and responsibility for good conduct away from individuals has been a mistake. While dueling was a violent concept the amount of people who died from it were arguably much less frequent than the kind of violence we see in modern times. That is why thinking in the way of the gunfighter is better than in the modern context of leaving disputes to be settled by those not directly responsible for the conduct, such as lawyers and the state as a legal entity. These days instead of getting satisfaction for an honor tainted we say “see you in court” instead of settling the matter right then and there. Then of course those who can pay for the best lawyer become the winners in most cases and the state enjoys the revenue and job opportunities that come from settling disputes. But what is lost is the individual responsibility for the actions taken and the merit of an honorable exchange. Taking the example of the famous duel between General Gladsten and General Howe in 1778, both Generals in the Revolution and were in a dispute over troop possession. They took to the streets of Charleston, South Carolina where many such duels were taking place at the time and when the time came stared each other down waiting for the other to make a move. After taunting each other for a good bit of time finally General Howe fired his pistol and clipped the ear of Gladsten. Gladsten in response, who was thought to be the John Adams of the south and inventor of the famous “Don’t Tread on Me” flag deliberately fired his shot into the ground inviting Howe to try again. Eventually the two men shook hands and that settled their dispute with only a minor injury occurring to Gladsten’s ear. Otherwise, the business between two major Revolutionary War figures was settled respectfully, something that certainly wouldn’t have occurred if the two had fought it out in court with lawyers acting as their pistols and fancy words spoken in legal jargon as bullets.

The point of the matter is not that dueling is a desired trait, or even that we should bring it back in the form that it was. Killing another person isn’t a desirable outcome for any dispute, but the finality of it tended to put in the participant’s minds the seriousness of an issue and this mindset certainly set the West and its expansion ablaze with activity that couldn’t have been regulated by any legal system at the rate that human ambition was expanding at the time. Honor was preserved by the potential for dueling and this threat allowed for proper respect when a nation needed it most. We could learn a lot from this period today where honor among business transactions is desperately lacking, particularly within the American borders. Other countries have their honor driven rituals and it is noticeable during business transactions. In the United States however, we have allowed our laws to be governed by lawyers and judges who take away the responsibility for personal conduct and place it in the hands of the state, and many of our businesses have followed. The impact has been a loss in honor among business interactions that has not been desirable. Yet honor could be restored if only we stepped back into hindsight and dusted off the values that did emerge from dueling and upgraded that sentiment for our modern needs which starts in thinking like a gunfighter.

House Bill 6 in Ohio is a Good Thing–if you want free markets, then provide them

There has been a lot of criticism about the passage of House Bill 6 which is the “Ohio Clean Air Program” because both sides of the political spectrum are missing the point. The bill essentially is a government bail out of the Akron-based First Energy Solutions nuclear power plants. The hippie liberal communist environmentalists don’t like that the bill strips away cash credits for “renewable energy,” such as wind power and solar while raising $200 million per year to cover the costs of the plants as a government heavy highly regulated industry that continues to lose money to the point where they won’t survive past the year 2021.

On the other hand there are the free market capitalists who don’t like that the utility company has donated over $1 million to Republicans to keep fossil fuel energy production alive, where the Obama era administrators sought to kill the industry in 2008 with more government mandates. Given the climate of government intrusion to begin with, and the need for good, reliable energy in Ohio, H.B, 6 further allows for local townships to vote by referendum any wind or solar powered take over of land and other assets to launch their “renewable energy” proposals, meaning the government can’t just decide to put up wind power plants by force. People in local areas would have the right to vote on them, which has the radicals infuriated. But equally infuriated are the capitalist who think that the whole deal is just another example of crony politics, where politicians will do anything for the donor base.

Here’s the deal, and I have been talking about this for a very long time, our utilities companies are monopolies that are directly attached to government management. And they shouldn’t be. If they weren’t “public” utilities then the management burden wouldn’t fall on government to have to solve, and Republicans in Columbus wouldn’t be tasks to bail them out or otherwise watch them fail down the tubes. And if the companies fail, what’s that do to our ability to produce nuclear power? Letting them fail at this point simply isn’t an option. And putting regulatory barriers on that industry just to facilitate hippie energy isn’t going to solve the problem either. What is truly needed in the long term are true free market solutions, which I suggested in Thorium, where every single home could generate their own power off a government regulated grid, kind of like how each home has their own air conditioning units. The technology is there, but government needs to get out of standing in the way of it, and when it does problems like what First Energy Solutions is going through would then become a private problem instead of a government problem. That is where the real issues reside.

The current state reality of energy creation is that it isn’t privatized, which by no coincidence is precisely why the health care industry is going through the same problem. If health care were privatized competition would bring down the expensive medications that are on the market. Government intrusion raises those cost and puts all the power in lobbyists. Until health care is privatized, costs will continue to be high and no easy solution for providing health care to people will be conducive to reality. Energy is hampered by the same restrictions. Power companies are government mandated monopolies, made that way through the incredibly high barriers of entry into the market. Regulator considerations destroy anything but the deepest pocket investors who then look to government to protect their investment. It’s much like the railroad situation at the turn of the 19th to 20th century. Someone had to build all those railroads, then someone had to manage the trains themselves and the people getting on them. Public utilities do great work, but they are expensive, and they are vulnerable to mass outages which hampers so many people because they must maintain and old grid of power supply that is in this present time old and obsolete.

But until we invent a better means of power generation, such as personal Thorium power plants the size of an air conditioning unit on a home for every home in the nation, government is stuck keeping the old dinosaur alive, which is what H.B. 6 in Ohio essentially is. The future of power generation isn’t the government mandates for solar and wind power plants passed down from the communist oriented Obama administration, its in private investment and personal maintenance, such as moving public transportation from the train to a car.

I love camping and always enjoy the sites of an RV park. Sure, while they are stationed in these weekend warrior hideaways, they are plugged in usually into the campground system of power and water maintenance. But in looking at all those great RVs within most of them are generators and tanks that allow them to function independently while traveling along the vast highways of our nation. It is from them that we should be learning how to push technology into each of our homes and businesses with more independent power generation and to get there we need to allow competition into the public utilities, which of course they don’t want, but that is the ultimate solution. We have allowed government to stand in the way of that energy independence so we really shouldn’t complain when they are called on to manage the trouble.

In that regard I completely support the Republican position on H.B. 6 and the Governor DeWine’s reasoning on the matter. They are dealing with dinosaur technology to supply the energy needs for a sustainable Ohio. The goal thankfully isn’t to pander to the flimsy hopes of the environmental terrorists, or the communist desires to destroy capitalism in the United States through heavy regulations tied to the backs of “Green Energy” but to deal with the two nuclear power plants that we do have, which have already cost a lot of money and do employ a lot of people. We need to use the energy we do have to bridge us into a 21st century solution. Likely the utility companies won’t like that solution but that is a bridge to cross when we get there. But we do need to get there.

Independent energy has to be the answer for the future, and free market competition to bring down the costs. Government needs to be out of all these economic transactions so that real free market solutions can come about, just like it did when the telephone utilities were deregulated. That is how the cell phone came about. Imagine what would happen if utilities were deregulated to allow for new methods of power generation to emerge. It amazes me how good some of the RV power generation innovations are these days. Imagine what it would look like if every home in the nation had their own source of power. Think of the lack of destructive impact to any economy that happens during every major storm where power grids get knocked out and hundreds of thousands of people are out of power for days, putting many people at risk. The option could be that every home treated their power supply like they do their air conditioners or heating services. A few downed trees wouldn’t kill the power for several neighborhoods. Instead one or two homes might be affected who could solve their problem with a simple service call from a competitive repair person. If we really want free market conditions, then let’s get government out of the utilities market and put them in the hands of the private sector.

The Great Trump Poker Game

In case you haven’t heard, there are even more text messages between Lisa Page and Peter Strzok that show directly that the Clinton campaign was involved in the FBI cover-up of DNC tampering into the 2016 election which Donald Trump won anyway. But now the skin is off the cat and its quite serious. It doesn’t seem that way to the mainstream media outlets because largely they refuse to cover it, but people like James Comey Clapper, Brennan and many, many others involved directly with the Obama White House are in deep trouble, and they deserve to be. It’s getting worse for them week by week and is why they came out against President Trump from day one, because they feared this day, where they no longer controlled the flow of information in government and could be tied to many crimes they knew they had committed to stay in office against the wishes of an official election. Meanwhile the state visit of the Trumps to Buckingham Palace in London was something even the most cynical person against Trump should have been very proud of. For those who have always supported Trump, it just made us prouder of his presidency.

What makes the Trump’s so good at these oversee visits with rulers, kings and queens of the world is that they’ve been there before. Long before Trump became president, he had become the very definition of the rich and famous, so looking comfortable among the most elite of the world is nothing new to him. And Melania is just such a great first lady, always looking and acting like the best that America has to offer. I can’t think of a single Democrat or Republican who could pull off one of these visits with the Queen of England so well, as if it was second nature to Trump. Which of course it is. I mean before the White House he and Melania actually lived in a tower of gold named after him. That lifestyle has certainly put him at ease in events like this one in London and I am personally glad. His approach certainly represents the way I think America should sell itself to others. Not just as an equal partner, but as a respected leader of the world and something others should feel a need to live up to.

But that is also why there was so much opposition against Trump to begin with. For many decades the plan was to diminish America’s role in the world and to cheapen our leadership in every way possible. So when we elected Trump to the Presidency the powers that had been engaged in all this diminished activity were inflamed to protect what they had been destroying. They certainly didn’t want Trump to repair our status around the world, which is precisely what has happened. Do you want to know how you can tell that Trump is unbeatable in 2020? Just look at how he has been playing the game. If his presidency were a poker game, which I’d say it is, he held great cards from the beginning, and now that the River has been revealed he has a 100% chance of winning the hand and the massive pot in the middle. The reason is that the Democrats went all in with what they thought were great cards, even cards they stuffed up their sleeve. But Trump had the aces and during the flop two more aces were revealed along with a King a Queen and a Jack. The King was the Mueller investigation, the Queen was the Strzok and Page FBI text messages, and the Jack was the phony Russian dossier paid for by the Never Trump establishment helped along by the Republican John McCain. And the other two Aces were the tax cuts and the great economic numbers that came from Trump’s policies. The two Aces Trump had all along were his great ability to lead people and generate excitement wherever he went, and his ability to be independent of the stuffy establishment with his own personal wealth.

Trump always had a great hand but once the Mueller Report was finished and the economy was continuing to truck along boldly, there wasn’t much anybody playing the game against Trump could muster. They had nothing and what’s unusual about politics played at this stage is that Trump knew how to play the game all along without all the advisors who whisper in the ears of leaders and usually guide everything in the direction they desire—who are completely controlled by establishment objectives. That made Trump a very unusual political figure, and one who couldn’t be beaten playing the game conventionally. And Democrats don’t have a candidate on the horizon who can match him.

That seemed to be the understanding of the English who finally did this state visit and put forth all the pomp that would be expected by such an occasion. When Trump was first elected, I was in London and saw how the local news had been covering him. I was at Big Ben and saw the massive protests around it trying to steer English politicians away from embracing the new American president. So, no doubt, the Queen waited to see how things went, so no immediate plans for a state visit were entertained. Now, two years later, as all the gas has gone out of the opposition forces, Trump is going to be around for a while, so the English might as well embrace it, so that had even a bit more sauce for this fine meal. Capitalism was making a comeback and any world leaders who didn’t want to be left behind understood that they needed to make friends with this American president, which is why the smartest of us elected him. We were tired of the bowing and apologizing that had been going on and decided to take matters into our own hands, and Trump was a great hire.

Personally, I was very proud of the Trumps at Buckingham Palace and the performance of the whole family on that very important trip. Even while the theater of pomp was in full bloom, the Russians called Trump up to indicate they were withdrawing their support from Venezuela. Mexico was reeling from the proposal of new tariffs, which will cripple their already deficient economy, and China is being bent over backwards from the tariffs that are now in place and is really bringing much needed pain to their economy. Its good to have an American president who understands the Chinese book on strategy, The Art of War. Finally! It’s not hard to beat them at their own game, we just need people in leadership positions who get it, and Trump does. There is just so much to be proud of even the biggest Never Trumpers that there are realizing that their efforts are futile. Trump has all the good cards in this game and he knows how to use them, and the best thing that everyone could do is to fold, before they lose everything. The Queen of England knows the story and she was very gracious in receiving the Trumps. They may not be her cup of tea, literally. But she is a smart woman and she knows how to play the game too, and for her and everyone, that means giving Trump credit for getting this far and still having Aces. Most of the chips on the table are on Trump’s side of it and as an American, that’s what I expect to always see.

Sex and Socialism

This is a complicated concept, but one that requires a dedicated analysis. I wouldn’t say that there was a master plan to use sex to sell socialism, but it was a biological conclusion that even the most dysfunctional socialist minded person could embrace without a formal plan. So it was an easy thing for liberals to cling to in order to achieve their ultimate objective. The plan was from the beginning of the socialist incursion into North America to use sex to break down our natural resistance to the concept and the trade off would be to satisfy our needs for sex by making it easier for us to achieve it. Then of course once we accepted the easy sex in our society, they we would of course accept other easy methods of doing things that were collective in nature resulting of course into a socialist society that would eventually embrace larger government expansion as a centralized authority.

Personally, it never made sense to me why public schools even back in my day were so obsessed with sex education. I remember in my health classes that the teachers were very open about using condoms and talking to partners about sex. Their platform was that crazy kids were going to have sex and since our parents weren’t teaching us about it that they had an obligation to do so themselves. Of course, in hindsight we will recognize what was going on, it was one of those “government knows best” moments where the government schools possessed forbidden knowledge that parents weren’t providing and that like the witch in Snow White, lured us all to a diseased life by encouraging us to eat from the poisoned apple.

I really learned a lot about this whole system when I was in my late twenties and my wife was a volunteer in the Mason school system. My oldest daughter was in the fourth grade and we were given a permission slip to sign. My daughter’s health class wanted to teach the very young students how to put on a condom using a dildo as the prop. Well of course we said absolutely not. My kids weren’t even close to being interested in that kind of thing and when they were, we would handle it as a family. I thought that would be the end of the story. What happened next absolutely shocked me.

The school system actually black listed us, they immediately rejected my wife’s volunteer activities at the school and the teachers who had been very friendly to her suddenly became almost ANTIFA like activists. My wife complained and that only made things worse and pretty soon there were kids and teachers following my kids around school applying a lot of peer pressure to put fear of compliance into them to either break from our position or to actually leave the school. Well that made me very angry and my wife was already there so we had to pull the kids out of school and home school them for a while because the experience of going to school was so terrible. And it was all over us not filling out a permission slip for teaching kids to put condoms on a dildo in the fourth grade.

Of course, things are much worse now, and our culture shows it clearly. Sex is nothing like it was when I was in school. The thrill of the chase is pretty much eradicated. Young boys expect young girls to give away sex without much effort and that has really destroyed the game of sex, and created an environment where those young people are now very accepting to socialism. As we all know the game of the sexes, of the basic birds and the bees has unsaid rules. Boys are attracted to visual sign stimuli. Even if you look like the ass of a baboon if you are a boy, you can still get a hot chick if you are a star athlete or end up in some other peer group that indicates that you will be successful one day and achieve financial wealth. Hot chicks learn very early that they have something boys want so they can use sex to gain access to material needs that are better than what other girls get. This system is what the political left was targeting with the idea of free sex. The idea was to get rid of value judgments, pretty girls, ugly girls, ambitious boys and pimple faced losers were all tossed into a big pot and offered marijuana inspired hippie sex with anyone and everyone so that nobody owned anybody and that like a public toilet or a water fountain, sex had the values removed from it so that the basics were enjoyed and that the values that made young boys want to work harder to have sex with better looking girls was removed, and that was a clear shot at capitalism.

I learned all this first hand of course, I have always known liberals. I was never one, but there was a time and continues to be where they want something from me, so I get these invites into their social gatherings. One such couple that I knew lived in downtown Cincinnati overlooking the hill off Clifton down into the city. They all had friends who lived along that ridge and for many reasons they were all very liberal. Most of them had university jobs or worked for the government down into the city, this couple was in entertainment and architecture. I had in fact hired the husband who was my architect for a while. The wife, who had a tendency to be nude all the time, even around other people was the director for a play at the Taft Theater for the very controversial Equus which featured not only complete nudity live in front of everyone, but actual sex on stage. When I saw it, I thought it was astonishingly disrespectful of the values of Cincinnati, Ohio. I saw the play as an attack on American values, even back then. A few years before that play my wife and I had both contemplated careers in modeling. She much more than me, but we both heard often the diatribes about how conservative Cincinnati was and that if we wanted to do modeling that we’d need to move to markets that supported more nudity because that was what it was going to take to be successful. My wife was 17 at the time, and I was 18. Clearly that wasn’t for us. So with that backstory and meeting the director of that play through my architect I learned more than I ever wanted to know about the nature of liberalism when I attended a few of their parties. They were very loose sexually. They loved their drugs and they despised human morality. They considered nature to be superior. Values were man made so they thought they should all be abandoned in favor of nature worship which is why that lady was always more nude than dressed.

These opinions of mine don’t come from any other source than first hand experience. Sex is the gateway drug for minds to begin to accept socialism. And that plan has been there for many years and if you want to know the truth about Russian interference in our elections and culture, the real problem was in the 1950s and 60s when the KGB actually injected moles into our society to undo it, and the hippie movement was the direct result, which we still see today. And they infiltrated our government schools with a desire to teach socialism and the means they intended to make it happen was to take away the value judgments of sex so that anybody could have sex with anybody else, and once that was complete, then we’d accept other reduced value judgments.

I think my wife and I were lucky to have had such rigorous standards of living. It certainly wasn’t easy. I would say that if Everest is considered one of the hardest mountains to climb in the world that holding some of the values we have as a family over the years was like climbing 30 Mount Everest stacked on top of each other nearly into space. And there were lots of times that we ran out of air or slipped on the ice. But we made it through the gauntlet and lived to tell about it with the same values toward things that we had initially. Also, it allowed me to see clearly now how we arrived where we are and to understand how to fix it. And before you can fix it, you have to know what the problem is. Valueless sex, which was brought to the United States by the KGB and injected like a drug into our public education system was meant to open the door to all this liberalism and to have it destroy American capitalism, because nobody in the world could compete with it. The damage is quite clear now in 2019. But we can’t accept that reality, and instead, need to go back to value judgments for the good of the human race, which of course nobody is interested in preserving from the political affiliation of liberalism.

Mama, Don’t Let Your Babies Grow up to be Weak Losers

This isn’t new news but maybe very timely as of now. An academic study of 171 men looking at their height, weight, overall physical strength and bicep circumference while also analyzing their views on redistribution of wealth found that weaker men are far more likely to favor socialist politics than stronger men. I mean that makes sense. Weak people obviously don’t feel inclined toward the competition of capitalism because they figure they won’t be able to compete, so they like the idea of a strong central government protecting them and giving them resources that they aren’t strong enough to get for themselves. And to be fair, women do favor many of those same socialist policies because they have learned to accept that men are stronger and they are less able to be physically forceful to get what they need in life. Weak men and feminist types who need to tip the scales in their favor support the idea of a big central government to help them have a shake in life toward what they consider fair. Physically Weak Males More Likely To Favor Socialist Policies, Study Finds

Most of the Republicans I know are what weak people would consider tough guys so the differences of political ideology truly does come down to physicality and experience with self-confidence. For instance, I do favor capitalism because I know I can do well in life with it, because I’m not afraid to compete with anybody, and I think that the path to true freedom is that everyone should feel the same way. That is why it is great to master some kind of weapon in life, so that a person can realize the freedom of their own defense and not fear for their life with every bolt of lighting that streaks across the sky. Not everyone can be the best at everything. So for the timid types, I think we can all sympathize with their anxiety. For those of us free of such concerns, the idea of a central government or socialism of any kind is reprehensible because we have the skills to do for ourselves and not everyone comes out of the box so prepared.

I would say I spend a significant amount of my life trying to help people learn to be more courageous I certainly don’t have an interest in being the strongest, fastest, and most dominant person on the block or in a city. Rather I’d like to teach people to be self-sustaining and to have the means of always defeating any bully any time and place and of all shapes and sizes so that they can enjoy that freedom for themselves because ultimately if they arrive into adulthood scared of everything, they will essentially vote for more big government to protect them which then hinders lifestyles like mine that want the most value. I would also consider strong people as the ones who advance society forward, because when people aren’t so worried about avoiding every little danger, they are inventing new things and building up industry which is needed for economic expansion. Some stringy haired hippie socialist wearing a tie dye shirt with a peace symbol on it isn’t typically going to be doing much of anything productive so those lifestyles should be avoided. But if such people do step forward, they should not limit the actions of the strong because it is the strong that protects other people truly, whether its their families, their friends and neighbors, or even their city. It is better to teach a weak person to be strong, but it is very bad to convince a strong person to give away their power to allow weak people to be equal.

And that is what is expected with socialism and why it never works in any place its ever been tried. There is a little socialism in every safety regulation, every compliance requirement and its been a very bad trend. What we need more of is not more regulations and reminders that government is the biggest, strongest entity that there is and everyone should be required to yield to it. We need more people to yearn to be stronger and for strong people to help teach them how to get there. We need the opposite of what we have been getting and the real trouble that has occurred is that too many people have just been emasculated from birth into essentially becoming pussies. And we all know what the purpose of pussies are. Not a good strategic position for anybody.

I think everyone has an opportunity to find some strength in themselves toward the freedom of self-reliance. The trouble is usually not the physical attribute of being strong, it’s in the laziness of the people who are weak that makes them that way. We used to have a society that encouraged in men to be strong and we passed judgments against them when they embraced their weaknesses and didn’t yearn to be stronger. For some people courage is hard, and some it comes easily. It really comes down to the kinds of things that people think about that makes them one way or another. However, in our culture now, the strong are chastised and the weak embraced so there is no incentive for the weak to modify their handicap and to learn to be courageous and strong if not physically, but mentally. The PC culture of our times has not helped advance mankind, it is hindering it into a regressive state.

The truth of the matter is that we should encourage everyone to be strong, even those who are small in stature or don’t have big biceps. There are many kinds of courage and we should always work to inspire those attributes in people no matter what sex they are, what size they are or what color. I’ve seen little people who aren’t afraid of anything. If you told them they could wrestle a Silver Back Gorilla to the ground, they would find a way to do it. And those kinds of people would likely be Republicans and fearless. But grown men who put on dresses and yearn to act like girls are just abortions to everything that being human should be. And any political system that embraces such a weakness is a detriment to the human race, which is quite a bit more serious than just political ideology. A yearning to make the world more fair, and more safe produces losers who would rather embrace socialism so that they could avoid any kind of fight for survival which is essential to human beings’ needing to continue advancing in life. Its ultimately that yearning that built skyscrapers and highways across North America and drove us to explore space through the early days of aviation. You don’t have to be strong and big to be bold and fearless. You simply have to learn what you have to work with and to maximize its potential. Being weak is a choice. Not a born trait. It can be overcome rather easily, and it is essential that we all do. The sure way to end the line of human beings is to allow them to build up their governments into an almighty, ever cautious parent who insists on safety over courage and a slow descent into the abyss of complacency and ultimately a terminal existence. There are far worse things in life than getting hurt from a long fall, or a cut hand—its in becoming scared of everything then seeking as adults to vote for larger governments to conceal their neurosis due to their perpetual anxieties.

Democrats are Not Evolved due to their Yearning to be Victims

With every holiday and meeting with people you only see a few times a year comes the unsaid expectation from them for some sort of apology for being a publicly affirmed Republican conservative in all the traditional ways possible. They expect you to apologize for supporting a mother in the home with the children, to find welfare disgusting, and to endorse every failure known to human endeavor with a valueless live and let live acceptance of total failure. The game the way that liberals and so called “fence sitters” play it is that if you are going to be a conservative and insist on voting for someone like Donald Trump, that you’ll keep it to yourself. Nobody is supposed to make their thoughts about politics known to the public. So for me, as a very committed conservative who has this blog and has written books, hosted radio broadcasts and even done television and put myself out there in sometimes audacious ways, comes with it a stigma that I owe them something, which of course I don’t. The best part of Memorial Day for me this year was that Rush Limbaugh hosted his own program without a substitute and that I had time to listen to him the entire three hours in the garage as I opened the pool for the year. It was a blissful day because I normally don’t get much time to listen to him throughout a typical week day due to the many professional engagements that require my attention. The broadcast I enjoyed on Memorial Day can be found at the below video presentation in case you missed it or are coming to this article many years in the future, like so many of my readers do, sometimes a decade later once they’ve grown up and become wiser, and understand that if they had listened to me ten or twenty years ago, they would have had a much better life.

Listening to that broadcast reminded me of something I had been thinking about a lot lately. I don’t need Rush Limbaugh to explain it to me, but it is nice to hear that someone else understands these things. As I have said before, the Democrat Party is filled with people functioning from some sort of mental handicap, which doesn’t mean they are throw away people. But in their current state of liberalism they are not complete people whereas conservatives, (not all Republicans) are further along in understanding the nature of the world. There is a reason that America is the most powerful superpower in the world. There is a reason that the world wants to storm our borders while other countries couldn’t give away a seat into their nations. There is a reason that that some things and some people are better than others. And the way President Trump sells his role of leadership to other countries shows that his brand of conservatism isn’t just for show, like most American presidents have been, or leader in Congress. Trump understands that the keys to human happiness is to encourage people and nations to function above the line and to reject any part of their natures which is below the line.

I was indifferent to the game of golf for most of my life. My dad no fault of his used to have me caddy for him and that really turned me off to the game, because I have always been a leader. If I’m not the star of the show, I’m not very interested in whatever is going on. I don’t typically get in the way of other people being the star of the show. I usually leave it to them and get on with something that requires my talents as an exclusive leader. And caddying in golf wasn’t my thing. But now I’m at an age where I have lots of reasons to do it. I have arrived in a place in life where playing that game is kind of unavoidable if you want to talk the language that people of a certain nature understand. And those certain kinds of people often have in common a yearning for above the line behavior. Golf and the country clubs that come with them have in common a focus on above the line approaches to life, which is summed up in the game of golf itself. You start with a driver to see how close to the objective you can get. Then each swing of a golf club is designed to get you closer to that moment of precision that you get the ball in the hole with careful thought, patience, power, and precision. And the whole game is played on immaculately landscaped courses that remind the player that the good things in life are well managed. The trees are trimmed well. The grass is always nicely cut. And the people playing the game are expected to dress well and treat each other in an above the line way. I appreciate the game much, much more than I used to which is also why poor people and lazy people (usually synonymous with each other) aren’t also playing. I don’t mind carrying my own clubs, but having a caddy is much more of my nature than being one to say the least.

Trump as I’ve watched him over the years, I think grew into a great president not only from marrying a good woman in Melania, but in steering his business from casinos more into golf courses. His business focus certainly seems to have shifted his personal philosophies into this very above the line person. For instance, during the days where he was a known playboy and appearing on the Howard Stern Show, those were very below the lines ways of thinking, and he clearly wasn’t ready to be president. But these days, a decade later, he has changed into wanting everything he does to be above the line, and life in the White House has been very conducive toward that objective. And his interaction on international affairs is just as Rush Limbaugh pointed out at the start of his broadcast, Trump wants to help every nation to become better, in much the way that going golfing has a silent hope that everyone does well on the course because the experience of playing is to enjoy the above the line nature of it.

Where Democrats and liberals of all degrees of that political philosophy go wrong is that they insist to keep the world into a victimized state so their direction for running everything is very below the line. No human being can hope to ever be really happy when their focus within their own existence is to keep their minds on below the line behavior—otherwise a victimized status. And that is the heart of why family get togethers at holidays is so awkward. If you are living an above the line life, and most everyone else is looking for an excuse as to why they are failures, then there is nothing you can say that can make them feel better about what they are doing. In every family there are always a few members who are drowning in below the line behavior and they look to you as a life raft to save them but only under their terms. And on the national and international stage the rules are the same. People functioning below the line want company in their misery so they have started all these dumb rules of compliance. Good above the line Republicans don’t feel the need to rub people’s face in rival opinions so they are vulnerable to aggression which mostly comes from below the line people, Yet I disagree with that approach so I won’t be apologizing. And I don’t feel even the slightest temptation to do so. It is the task of everyone to take themselves above the line. Not for us to endorse their bad behavior by stepping below. And those are how the new rules of the game will be played, and Trump is the perfect president to bring that above, and I will not apologize for any of that. Ever.

Why “A State of Urgency” is not a Bad Thing

I found it alarming recently that the phrase “state of urgency” was one of the banned terms of the new liberalism. But it really isn’t new, the concept of having a judge free existence has been around for a while now and it has pretty much destroyed everything it has touched, and any kind of state of urgency is considered an offensive judgement because it understands that to have urgency toward anything, that someone has a value judgement about something. As I have said more and more, especially lately, I have been around for a long time. That’s important because I remember what it was like before. Even though these liberal euphemisms have been around for even longer, our culture largely rejected the concepts, except for the most recent stringy haired hippies and grunge rock losers.

The theme of our colleges and public schools has in fact been to embrace this no judgment culture and throwing out terms like “state of urgency” has been part of their defining characteristics of an educated culture. There are many more terms that have been banned from our education system and most of them involve any kind of personal value judgment and favors collective morality and the impact has been obvious. Unlike in years past where personal accountability was stressed even in public schools, the temperament of our day is that nobody is responsible for anything and that things will happen when they do and that we should all yield to them in favor of collective opinion. Therefor, how could we have have a state of emergency for anything because the roots of the judgment come from an individual need. And individuals are not to be trusted, only state sponsored endeavors that are “democratically” organized are to have any merit.

Personally, I can see these effects every day, after a couple of decades of this type of thinking it has ruined many people and their ability to do things because the culture they are interacting with is running from responsibility instead of toward it. It is especially noticeable in the United State where workers have yielded to the pressure of lacking performance and instead embraced a culture that hates Mondays, looks toward Wednesday as “hump day” as if a week represented some sort of decline back toward their weekends of not having to live with any kind of expectations. And of course there is Friday, which for most people means their work week is over and they get to reclaim their personal time once again. Our education system has advanced this kind of thinking purposely to inspire a diminished expectation in our capitalist culture which they of course hope brings our economy to its knees. God forbid that more individuals get rich with good ol’ fashioned hard work. Allowing individuals to have more or to do more than others is a socialists dream of a utopian existence.

On any given day you can see the impact, anywhere in the world. Gone from the minds of the many are the concerns of productivity. What has replaced that former expectation has been an emphasis on complacency and rudderless leadership. The only place that a “state of urgency” has been allowed to reside in our earthbound cultures has been in sports where a timer judges who wins and loses in the world based on who has the most points at the end of the game. More and more we have cultures who view timers as something to reset if they miss their target objectives since for over two decades, they have learned that the timers in our lives mean nothing. There shouldn’t ever be a “state of urgency” because there is no game to win. There is no competition. There are only weekends and massive amounts of empty space to fill with a servitude toward collectivism.

The report that I gave yesterday of where Americans on average are bored 131 days per year, or otherwise stated, 36% of their lives is a disgusting number. It is a direct reflection of our education system not inspiring people to do good things with their lives but in clipping their wings starting with their intellects in favor of a collective based society that puts everyone on equal footing, and making sure that judgements do draw lines between people as is our natural instincts. It’s not about skin color or the sexes that the political left is trying to make equal, their real target has always been and continues to be the productive against the unproductive. If they can take away the treasures of ambition and push everyone into a big government addiction, then their philosophy will then grow and socialism will become the norm. By stating that “a state of urgency” is a bad thing to think about, then competition will slip away between human beings and complacency will permeate our existence. The goal is to clip all our wings and surrender to the needs of the many, which is to accept a loser state of existence. After all the best way to take away the incentive to be the best that you can be is to take away the benefits of doing so leaving behind husks of a human body vacant of thought and action.

Of course, like any state authorized imposition it has had the opposite effect. While people do tend to avoid social stigmas, they have taken the need for competition underground where “a state of urgency” is living well in the video game culture. I was watching one of my grandsons playing Fortnite the other day and given how popular that game is, it tells me that people are running from government and onto the online video game world where competition is alive and well. Sadly, this has separated people from their necessity to be productive and pushed that level of competition into their leisure time exacerbating the problem, not helping it. But the need for competition and the challenge of managing “states of urgency” are quite alive and well in people. We just aren’t seeing it in our jobs and political existence like we did even a few years ago.

When I was growing up people were called bums who didn’t work hard and even attempt to play at a productive life. People who ran from their responsibilities were called losers, which is still my term for them. I see that things worked much better then than they do now and that is a judgment based on more than reflections of the good ol’ days where an older person thinks their way of life is better than a present one. In this case it is literally the truth. Too many people have allowed the politics of our day to clip their intellectual wings and accept a mundane existence and it is repulsive that we’ve allowed that political strategy to sink roots in our cultural expectations. And the primary mode of attack has come from our education system informing our youth that time is never of the essence, that competition is a very negative thing unless it comes from team sports, or otherwise in service to the state. Individual goals are to be avoided because they emphasize choosing those values of the votes of the many, the opinions of the losers, and ambitions of the lazy.

The Nature of the Trump Economy and Why Democrats had nothing to do with it.

It’s impossible to cover the kind of topics that are put onto this blog site without them being synonymous to the challenges of the Trump administration. The election and presidency of Donald Trump is a change agency element that is forever changing political life in America, and of course it will ruffle the feathers of many groups that want to remain in the boxes of thought they have put themselves in. And this has never been more evident then in the understanding of why the Trump economy is so good and who gets the credit for it. I was thinking of all this while listening to Joe Biden talk about the economy the other day and how Trump has benefited from the Obama economy and that the credit goes to that previous administration, which is of course insanely stupid. It reminded me of my first-year economics professor in college saying nearly the same thing about economic cycles and how they ebb and flow. I thought that guy was an idiot back then, and now thirty years later hearing Joe Biden talk, I am 100% sure of it. If we hadn’t elected Donald Trump, the economy would have remained flat as it was all through the eight years of Obama and essentially the eight years of George W. Bush climaxing into a recession in 2008.

The truth is most people have learned about economics from all the wrong places by all the wrong kind of people. The true rules for growth are in creating value and then protecting that value, which is why Trump is engaging in a trade war with China. The American economy will benefit from that activity, not be hurt by it. The myth that economics work by cooperation and bridge building is ridiculous Economic value is exclusively a product of building something of value and sticking by that value with protections. And the Obama administration wasn’t doing any of that. It was instead apologizing for what America had done and giving artificial value to tag along economics that were seeking to loot off American products the way that China has. So a study of these kinds of causes and effects are essentially what this blog is all about, and at the center of that story is the Trump administration because it is in the practice of changing definitions from previous assumptions. And the world will be forever changed by those definitions.

I often talk about what losers most politicians are, because they are essentially looters, living off the efforts of others, and that is clearly what Joe Biden is. He is the very definition of a looter. He lives completely off the efforts of other people. But I can say in 2018 that I know quite a lot of politicians who are actually really good people. I can’t say that those people were around in 2008. I have watched personally a new breed of politician come up out of the Tea Party movement and it is that foundation that essentially put Trump in the White House. It wasn’t just a miracle that Trump was elected into the presidency on his first try, but there was plenty of grass roots helping out in the cracks that nobody knew anything about that knocked away a lot of the opposition against Trump, especially in battle ground states like Ohio. They understand how the world works far better than Joe Biden and ultimately there are many new millionaires who have benefited from this new perspective and they aren’t going to go backwards.

Still, it is insulting to hear it, when some old politician trying to apply the rules of yesteryear with an outright lie about the nature of economic growth goes on a claim jumping word spree that we all know is based on the looter culture. Joe Biden and Barack Obama aside from what anyone thinks about politics were some of the last new assets of that old class of in the box economic thinking where bridge building was thought to have more value than actual product value. Now that theory has been busted and the Trump administration is the first clear evidence of such a change in thought essentially since the inception of America as a nation. There have been periods of great economic growth but economists, especially the socialist college professor types really didn’t understand beyond sentiment how the game really worked.

I was also fortunate I suppose to have had lots of experience in the world before I entered college at the University of Cincinnati at the age of 19. I knew right away in that first-year economics class that what the professor there was teaching was largely bullshit. Of course, there is value in learning what other people have learned so you can know how to play the game against them. But regarding the actual facts of economic truth, the college professor circuit in the 80s and 90s were clueless, and they taught many of their students to think incorrectly about how economics worked, so really who could blame Joe Biden for being such an idiot. He assumes that everyone is just as delusional as he is, he has no reason to think otherwise, except when the successes of the Trump administration are analyzed in comparison.

If you have a superior product that the world wants, the leverage that brings to a marketplace is all powerful and becomes the governing force in any negotiation. And those economic cycles can continue to expand so long as imagination continues to erupt in whatever culture is producing the economic values with new product implementation. The fall back into recession occurs when that culture stops producing products of value. The cycle effect is manageable, not inevitable. In that context and definition, the moment that President Trump took office, even with all the efforts of removing him from office by the old political machines, his America first policy put new value on American products that then started an expansion that never could have occurred under the Obama administration. And that increased economic value literally started the day after the election because investors could see a friendly administration toward the American economy, so they were free to think of and market products they had been sitting on for many years, and that is why the economy suddenly flourished. It wasn’t an accident, it wasn’t happenstance. It was all very logical and by the rules of economic value that very few really understand because they listened to all the wrong people.

And deep down inside I think most democrats know it, that the Trump economy is not a fluke, that it is built on real value instead of the traditional looter culture of taking credit for things they had nothing to do with. This Trump economy is a new definition that many are just learning, not that there is anything new about it—just that many are coming to it for the first time. Adam Smith had all this figured out long ago in his great book The Wealth of Nations which I refer to often even still. I’m quite sure that college professor I had never read that book even though it should have been the guiding textbook for the college course. And that is the world that Joe Biden comes from, and it is that world that is coming apart as we speak, and the longer Trump is president, the less likely that the old way will ever come back in America. And that is what we are all fighting for.

Socialism is Taught in our Public Schools–so why are we surprised that its all kids know?

There was a recent poll that indicated 43% of people in North America support socialism which seems to be a surprise to many people. As everyone knows, I have been screaming this from the roof tops for many, many years—more like decades. This isn’t a new idea and if you take that poll and lay it over the same type of people who voted for Hillary Clinton and may support Joe Biden or Bernie Sanders they almost match perfectly. The new element is in accepting that the Democrat Party essentially is a part of socialists who have simply changed their name. And that evidence is quite clear in how that part of politics has taken over our public education system, which was finely exhibited in the New York City public school system with their recent ban of words that are consistent with above the line behavior, words like success, exceptionalism, and winning.

Many people don’t want to get involved in political matters, as our culture has successfully stigmatized it. It is far safer to talk about grilling hot dogs and talking about the statistics of hitting a ball with a baseball bat. And the people who want power like it that way. While we have been off appeasing everyone’s temperaments and worrying about hurting their feelings with aggressive words, they have taken over our public education system and sought to destroy the minds of our young people from their very foundations, and they have not been shy about it. We’ve let them get away with it by playing nice. And they have taken advantage of our niceness and set about ruining our nation from the inside out by controlling not only our education system, but what people learn, and this has occurred by allowing labor unions who are typically very progressive to run the school boards.

All that has changed is that Bernie Sanders and other very progressive elected officials have moved the political bar even further to the left leaving people like me, who have always been conservative looking in comparison to be some deranged lunatic by the measure of the political spectrum being analyzed. If prior to the 1960s the politics of the middle ground was exactly where a person like me is today, the victory of the communists, the hippies, and the leaning left Democrats ever more moved way away from the center and set a new benchmark that stated the new centralist views were radically to the left of what it used to be. And this has largely happened by a communist plan that started with the beginning of the Department of Education in 1980. It can be argued that public education worked better before a new department at the federal level got involved, and since it has, the entire country has moved further to the left.

I still remember what public school was like in 1980. I was in the sixth grade and I watched it quickly deteriorate. I can at least report a reference point to what it was like before and what it was like after, and each year thereafter from then until now has moved further and further to the political left. For those who say they don’t want to get involved in politics, because of hostile elements that have attacked our way of life, particularly in public education, none of us really have a choice. I have lost a lot of friends and family members over this very issue, which I’d do happily again. To me, what’s the point of talking about grilling out in the back yard, when entire parts of our population are being destroyed by liberalism in our public schools?

To my point of view this is one of the worst issues to confront us in the modern era. That we have allowed academia to be infested by liberalism only to eat up all the value of an education with political activism has been a major travesty on the action of learning. We have allowed intelligence to be stigmatized also with liberalism, and if we aren’t liberals, then we can’t claim to be academics. Through our American niceness, and through our Christian roots we turned the other cheek time and time again to allow these antagonizers to climb into the minds of our children and to take them from us, to attempt to destroy our families, to stand for death and the rights of some feminist version of womanhood as the only way.

Another recent poll that came out revealed that happily married women tended to be Republican in nature, which set off a torrent of anger from the political left. The threat to them was always in controlling the message of what being a woman really was. In their minds they accomplished two things, they keep mothers busy at work doing “things” in the pursuit of being equal to men. The other thing was that it pushed kids out of the house and into schools and pre-school day cares. This is also something I watched firsthand. My mom was a traditional housewife, one of the last of them. And she took a lot of grief for it being ridiculed by virtually everyone and it harmed her in many ways very deeply. She just wanted to care for her children and ironically, we all grew up very emotionally stable and productive. My wife actually followed in her path and for her the situation was even worse. Far worse actually. I watched all this with great curiosity, how could something so good, like loving kids, be considered socially so bad? Well, we were told in public education that liberalism was the way to go and they took our tax money to fund one sided political debate. And if you had a different point of view, then those individuals would be hunted down like the Salem Witch Trials and executed either literally or metaphorically. Whatever methods were used, the results were always clear. Destroy any hint at conservatism so that liberalism could grow.

It is actually surprising that more people don’t call themselves socialists these days with all the effort at attacking American that culture has gone into the promotion of that point of view. Capitalism and conservatism have held up remarkably well considering the efforts spent against it. But its time for us to turn the tide and to not be ashamed to admit what we value and to continue allowing liberalism to advance with our shut mouths and funding by turning our cheeks again and again until they’ve slapped away all the skin. Values can’t just be surrendered to a mob of trained socialists who believe they have a right to pluck us all dry to satisfy their whims. We need to focus on competition for the public education system so one brand of socialist instruction is not the only thing available to young people. By allowing that single source of failure to infect our children we are actually dooming them for life, and its time we stop that cycle. 1980 wasn’t that long ago and people have been educating themselves for many years. Well before the Department of Education came along with an agenda toward socialism. And until we change our thoughts on this, we will continue to see an erosion that eventually won’t be correctable. Time is certainly running out—I don’t think we are there yet, but we are getting close.

Elon Musk Doesn’t Give a Damn About Your Degree

This was a very interesting interview with Elon Musk about college degrees and the value of them. Its important to note due to the extraordinary costs of college that obtaining a degree is not an indicator of exceptional ability. It might make whomever has a college degree attractive to an employer looking for someone who won’t rock the boat and will give predictable results as an employee. But having the degree won’t by itself produce an employee who will change the world. Exceptional ability can’t be bought and to a large degree that has been the message. That college will produce better employees than those without a degree, and that simply isn’t true. Not in any way. People who are driven and are accomplished don’t need a college degree and its interesting that Musk who employs lots of technical people in his companies is willing to take a position on college, but I agree with him. To my experience a college degree holds people back, it doesn’t help them and is certainly an element to consider when the cost of obtaining one is so incredibly high.

Nobody wants to hear that all the hard work and money they spent on a college degree was a waste. Of course it’s going to hurt the feelings of the people who have a degree to hear that the world really doesn’t value them. But really the whole concept goes back to the Wizard of Oz story were at the end the main characters were given pieces of paper stating that they had a brain, or a heart and were therefore valuable to society. The suggestion that the college experience would take a nobody and make them into somebody is a falsehood that our governments have essentially perpetuated to keep everyone in a compliant culture. The person who works hard for the sake of discovery and self-preservation is more likely to be that exceptional employee that everyone is looking for.

But then again, not everyone is looking for an exceptional employee. Elon Musk certainly is, otherwise Tesla and Space X wouldn’t be such market drivers in modern science. But many companies, especially those with rigid cultures well established don’t want some crazy hard worker coming along that wants to change the world. They may well be looking for the drunk, the loser, the whore that embarrassed themselves in college so that they will fit well into their current culture of complacency. That after all is the big secret that most employers are dealing with. While the ownership and board may want the exceptional results that drive up value, the management does not. What most work cultures want is compliance and nothing more and for that, the college degree is perfect for them.

Elon Musk of course is coming from the perspective of a change agent in the technical fields. The proof is in cultures that are very top heavy in college graduates but are lacking in technical innovation. Take China for instance, a very compliant culture where education structure is well understood. There is a reason they have to steal so much technology from countries like the United States. That is what students learn in college, to copy what the professor instructs them, but they don’t learn to think. The college graduate is typically good at unpacking something that is already known, but they can’t invent it from scratch. That is fine if the results desired are not ambitious. But if the desire is to always push for innovation, then more of a gunslinger approach is needed, an individual who is quick on their feet, willing to take risks and push forward ideas and to explore their potentials fearlessly. In the United States we have great experience with this kind of business approach and many of the best in our entrepreneurial fields have not obtained success through college.

In truth colleges are filled with those who can’t do things in real life, that’s why they seek the safety of the university system to obtain employment. What they sell to potential students is simply the boon of a typical snake oil salesman. They are selling Dumbo’s feather to give false confidence into their recipients making them think that it is the feather that makes them fly, not their own ears. By the time a student leaves a four year degree, or a six, the world has changed yet again and they enter the workplace a half a decade behind the cutting edge trends. The ones who are on those trends are the bold and ambitious who get there the old-fashioned way, through tenacity and lots, and lots of hard work. You can’t fake success and you certainly can’t buy your way into it.

People are more willing to talk about the failures of the college system now than they were just a few years ago. Given the amount of college graduates that we have now, and the cost of college to begin with, we should all be beaming with intelligence. I have the advantage of watching my two daughters’ generation who just came out of this age. Many of their friends, a few that come to mind have been going to college for over a decade, have actually regressed intellectually. They entered their college years unfocused and changed their majors many times over and simply went because their parents told them to. So much of the money spent was to discover themselves and sure enough, in college there were many liberal professors there to show them the ways to liberalism and socialism. When my wife and I went we didn’t have a good time. I hated every stinking minute of it, because it was obvious to me that the whole thing was a scam. And with my wife, she went round and round with her professors who were far more interested in getting her to read the Quran and to re-write the history of the Revolutionary War to include the crime of slavery as the biggest concern instead of the liberty and independence of all people, which is what the war was all about. I was very offended personally by this activism. It’s not that learning about other cultures is a problem with me. Quite the opposite, there are probably few people out there who care about other cultures as much as I do. What I didn’t like about the college experience is that they were actively putting down American culture and that pissed me off 30 years ago and I feel no differently now. Colleges with just a few exceptions are incubators for liberalism and the longer kids spend there, the worse they become.

The most cutting edge of us have known it all along. The rest of the world is coming to it. But college is a scam that sells nothing but air. It’s like buying bottled water when you can get perfectly good water right out of the faucet. They declare that what you are getting in college is better, and cleaner. But water is water, and many of us don’t like the additives that do come in the bottled version. With college we are essentially programming people toward a compliance based political ideology. We aren’t teaching them to think, which an employer like Elon Musk is always on the lookout for. It’s only a matter of time before the need for bold and ambitious people in a marketplace that requires dynamics overrules the desire for compliance-based employees who do what you tell them to do, and nothing more. In the kind of exploding economy that we have now, we don’t have time to wait for students to leave college to enter the marketplace and we certainly don’t have a decade to wait for them to deprogram themselves into being reasonable people again. We need people to learn more things fast and with greater independence, and for that we will never get them in abundance from a college graduate.
