Views from the Heartland: The voice of common sense by Mark Etterling

Mark Etterling is in the leadership at the Liberty Twp Tea Party and has been a school board candidate in the past for Lakota, and I hope he is a future candidate because he’s a good guy who is a whole lot nicer politically than I am, and is willing to work with people on the other side.   It takes all kinds to make the world go around and Mark is certainly one of the first-class people functioning in the world.  As a local author he contributes frequent articles about the state of America that are quite good and balanced.  He has been a guest pundit on CNN and other media expressing Tea Party views articulately and I enjoy his work.  Because of that I am going to begin featuring some of his work here at the OW to expose his efforts to a larger audience.  So enjoy!

The looming economic debate that’s taking over the headlines has to do with Republicans seeking spending cuts while at the same time Obama wants to raise taxes on the wealthy.  The ever popular battle cry of the Left is that we should be demanding the wealthy pay their “fair share”.  In reality the first thing that we should be doing is forcing the Left to officially declare once and for all exactly what they believe constitutes a fair share.  It is an act which they will never do knowing that it would destroy the very demon their rhetoric relies upon.  However, I have an even bigger question for Obama and his cohorts on the Left.  Why do they keep insisting on aiding wealthy people while crushing the hopes and dreams of the poor?  Yes, you read that correctly.

Billionaire Warren Buffett recently stated that he wouldn’t mind paying more in taxes and everyone on the Left immediately saw Mr. Buffett as some sort of a hero based on his statement.  Personally, I see him as a villain.  First of all, if Warren truly believed what he was saying he wouldn’t still owe over $1 Billion in back taxes based on existing tax rates.  Plus, there is nothing to have ever prevented him from overpaying his taxes in the first place if he was in fact a true believer in what he espoused.  But I digress.  The real reason for Buffett’s statement and Obama’s actions is far more self indulgent.  The Left itself is merely playing the role of the mindless minions to this sinister plot through their shear ignorance.

There is an economic concept that Buffett and others like him understand that the Left simply doesn’t get.  The Left is so caught up in the falsity of their own rhetoric that they never bother to think things through far enough to understand reality. The truth is that Warren already has far more wealth than he could ever spend in a lifetime and he has also acquired all the material toys he could ever dream of from that wealth.  What he seeks is power.  What wealthy people like him understand is that the power derived from wealth doesn’t come from how much someone has.  It comes from the difference between how much they have versus everyone else.  For example, anyone can become a millionaire in Zimbabwe.  However, a million in Zimbabwe currency might only buy you a loaf of bread, so big deal.  Again, it’s not the numbers that matter.  It’s the difference in the numbers that counts.  What Buffett also understands is that we don’t tax based on wealth in this country.  We tax based on the acquisition of wealth.  In other words we tax income.  The easiest way for wealthy people like Buffett to maintain the power of their wealth isn’t by adding yet another $ Billion to their pile.  It’s by preventing everyone else from being able to “catch up”.  The best method to accomplish this is through punitive tax rates.

Here’s a simple explanation.  Even if Warren Buffett shows a net worth of $50 Billion and you show a net worth of only $50K, on January 1st of each year, as far as the IRS is concerned, you and Buffett are considered equal with neither having yet earned any income for the new year.  At this point the fortune he has already amassed is irrelevant as far as future taxes are concerned.  Again, we don’t tax wealth.  We tax the acquisition of wealth.  So basically, if Warren decided to bury his $Billions in the dirt and didn’t bother to earn anything for next year he would still be a Billionaire, yet his tax bill at the end of that year would be $0.  Therefore, if you and Warren both happen to earn the same amount for this year you would both pay the same in taxes regardless of whatever that tax rate might happen to be.  To Warren that extra cash is irrelevant since his bank account already has more digits than he knows what to do with.  However, to you that extra cash could mean the difference between moving up a bit more on the economic ladder or remaining stuck on a lower rung.

To illustrate this concept in a slightly different manner think of the act of achieving wealth as being similar to climbing the stairs of a tall building.  The Left claims that they want to see everyone have the opportunity to climb up as many floors as possible.  Yet raising tax rates actually prevents this from happening because with higher tax rates the faster you climb, the faster you get shoved back down.  The Buffett’s of the world are already living in the penthouse as it is, so they don’t need to concern themselves with climbing faster.  However, if you are at the lower levels and fighting hard to advance yourself it is far easier to climb when you get to take 10 steps forward in income for every 1 step backward in taxes compared to being forced to take the 5 steps backward in taxes that you experience from higher rates.  The Left is constantly pointing out the ever widening divide between the wealthy and the poor while at the same time they naively espousing the very tax rules that allow such a widening to occur.  If the Left were truly as compassionate about the poor as they claim they would be demanding lower tax rates at all levels to enable opportunity for advancement instead of stagnation.

Bloody Hands and Worse: What can you do when your government openly lies and elections don’t work?

For me, all suspicions of speculative government conspiracy ended on Election Day 2012. I no longer believe that peaceful negotiations with progressives is possible and I disagree with Glenn Beck that the path to returning America back to a Constitutional Republic can be achieved without violence. I hope he’s right, but I doubt it. Speaking personally I have had a lot of blood drip from my hands over lies told to me over far, far less than what has been revealed in the video below. Glenn Beck is a good person, as is many of the millions who tune in to listen to him daily. I like their Christian views of goodness, and adherence to Biblical principles. I like their desire to live by the Ten Commandments. But I do not like their tendency to sacrifice themselves like martyrs in a Roman coliseum as the centurions toss peaceful bodies to the lions to be devoured in a blood bath designed to appease a mob.

No, I am a much more vengeful person—especially when I discover that I have been taken advantage of, and there isn’t a media personality who reflects my volatile personality for the wrath I am thinking for these thugs that sit in the seat of American government. Peaceful elections are one thing, and I have believed in the system for many years, even how it functioned in 2008 when Barack Obama was first elected. But with the evidence now out in the open, and knowing what kind of man he is, and who he has surrounded himself with.

After watching Chris Christie turn so quickly from a critic of the President to being a supporter attacking Romney, then watching Romney make a declaration against 47% of the country’s “takers” feeding like carnivorous beasts off the economic “makers” then seeking to appease those ravenous blood thirsty consumers for the rest of his campaign to appear as a “moderate,” I have given up hope that peace and justice can be obtained with logic and elections.

The guilty party that put to sleep 62 million voters who re-elected Barack Obama is the public school system. To learn how—CLICK HERE. I have watched more people spend their time filling out their Fantasy Football picks than they invested into who they were going to vote for president, and this is the fault of public education. Government schools have produced half a country that is too lazy, and unsophisticated to legitimately vote. They are too lazy to even look at the Benghazi situation and call it what it is—just another sex scandal desired to deflect attention away from the actual crimes committed apparently by the president himself. Richard Nixon resigned over far less than what is going on today, because at the time the population was far more awake—and the media stood ready to pounce on him, so when he was caught lying, he resigned to avoid the public scrutiny.

Obama and his band of lawyer thugs do not fear the public any longer. Progressives have sung to sleep more than half the nation and they know it. They don’t care about people speaking the truth on large radio stations, like Glenn Beck does daily, because they know the listeners won’t do anything about it.
They expect peaceful protests from the conservatives while the leftist radicals actually destroy lives and kill people by whatever means to advance their cause, and when confronted, they have no problem lying about it. They don’t fear Hell, or Satan, and they don’t give a rat’s ass about the Ten Commandments. They are stripping America of our symbols that hold us together as a country so that they can blend all of us into the soup of global government, and they are doing it out in the open.

That is the reason I no longer believe a peaceful solution is possible, because you have to be willing to fight the enemy in a worse way then they are against you, and for me that means you have to be more vicious, more violent, more rhetorical, more of everything to counter the mass collectivists that make up progressive politics. I know that goes against many of the personal beliefs of Glenn Beck’s audience—and that is not what he has been saying, he has been preaching peace—but I watched how Obama disarmed Romney in the debate over Benghazi, and it worked. In a lot of ways, all conservatives have shown the same kindness, and that is why they are losing.

I know it’s a scary thought dear reader, but we are at that time. I hate to see it happen, but fighting for our freedoms will mean soon that we don’t just elect another parasite to go to Washington and enrich themselves off lobbyist money. Fighting for freedom will literally mean fighting and blood will drip from our hands and we have to be willing to do it otherwise progressives will win this fight because they are more aggressive than we are—and more ruthless. They will lie, cheat, steal, kill and destroy anything in their path—and to beat them, we must be willing to do the same, only worse. The essence of the trouble is that a sitting president was willing to lie to us so directly and hide the lie behind just another scandal because they do not fear our anger or what it will do to them.

They do not respect us—and that must change. CLICK HERE TO SEE WHAT’S NEXT.

The State of Public Education: Why it must be destroyed in current form

In relation to the Hostess Labor Strike that I wrote about yesterday, the issue of public education must be painted against this backdrop.  CLICK HERE FOR REVIEW.  Public education is controlled by radical labor unions who teach our children aspects of life that many of us may not agree with—such as sexual education that leans in a promiscuous direction, anti-capitalistic labor practices, large government expansion, and of course destructive global sciences that are rooted in belief and not fact.  These would not be so problematic if parents had an option as to where they could send their children, and if they did not like the school and what it taught their children, they had the option of taking their child to another school that was more in line with their family’s beliefs.  However, the union labor agreements with government help has helped create a destructive progressive monopoly that resides in each and every neighborhood in America and it is with these monopolies that the single greatest threat to The United States resides—the attack on the minds of our youth to learn things that are not only detrimental to themselves, but our nation—as is in evidence by the results of the 2012 election.

Labor unions in public school maintain a government backed monopoly, and when education employees wish to increase their wages, all they must do is strike forcing school boards and federal mediators to come in and resolve the labor dispute.  Parents do not have the option to pick their kids up and take them to another school that does not have striking employees, busing cuts, or pay-for-play extracurricular activities because government has backed the labor unions into maintaining an education monopoly—forcefully taking money from property ownership to fund the monopoly.  The only recourse a parent has who is displeased with this arrangement is to pull their child out of their local public school and teach them at home.  But the scam still impacts them as their tax money will still be stolen from their property value whether or not the parents enjoy the product of public education.

When teachers strike, parents have no choice but to accept the product and this is wrong.  This government arrangement with public education ensures that the teaching profession will always be paid much higher than the tax payers who pay their salaries with benefits that are lavish and among the best of their kind.  The working hours are extraordinarily easy, and the other benefits are excessively good—and are granted because education has maintained this monopoly status with the guns of the government at their back leaving some radical teachers to advocate political beliefs to our youth without fear of competing ideas to filter out the actual merit.  Parents are told to put up and shut up, and to simply pay their taxes, otherwise their property will be seized.

This is the state of public education, and it is one of the worst debacles of our modern age.  It creates un-thinking youth, helpless parents, and advances the cause of destructive progressivism in American culture.  I find the entire arrangement appalling, and I take great honor in being called by my progressive enemies, the LASH OF EXTREMISM.  (CLICK FOR REVIEW.)  Now that it is well known what is behind the labor movement within the education industry, I consider such a term to be the highest compliment.  My only wish is that more people were not so chicken but to call these parasites what they are.  Instead, they continue to put up with it when they know it’s wrong—instead of demanding something better.  I am considered an extremist because I have demanded better for less money.   I am considered an extremist for expecting the kids of my community to learn about capitalism instead of communism, to demand that teachers live within a wage structure that everyone else does, and to ask for options so that education monopolies can’t be allowed to loot a community’s wealth from property value and re-distribute that wealth to democratic politicians who advocate legal socialism.  It is a high compliment indeed to be called an extremist by such social parasites just for demanding options.

It is a good thing to be considered an enemy among progressives and communists because believe me—I don’t like them either.  The feeling is more than mutual.  Progressives seek to impose themselves on all our lives and that makes them a threat to personal liberty.  To see what’s at stake for our future and why the threat is so real watch the videos below.  To see what’s behind those videos and the threats of education against our children CLICK HERE.  You may be stunned to learn the truth.

Glenn Beck Calls Speaker Boehner “Ball-less”: Companies already laying off to avoid Obamacare

Republicans, this is the cost of not fighting hard enough. This is the cost of compromise, of “playing nice.” Compromise is not a dirty word if you are a progressive, but for everyone else, it’s as dirty as an entire sewage system. One of the great fall outs of Obamacare is that employers must provide the government mandated insurance if employees work over 28 hours per week. This will cause small companies like Target, and Walmart, and Home Depot to only allow their employees to work 28 hours per week. Welcome to the first costs of Obama’s re-election.

John Boehner is a nice guy, and he is my congressman–heck he’s practically my neighbor. I like the man. But Beck is calling the situation the way many Republicans are feeling it, and it is only going to get worse. For all those idiots who voted for Obama, and begged him to steal from the rich to give to the poor, and crush American businesses–good luck at finding a new job. Because they will be harder to come by than ever. Welcome to the OBAMANATION!

Demise of China Part 2: Madame Fatale’s ‘Cavern of Terror’

This is part 2 of an article I wrote previously.  CLICK HERE for a review.

I was thinking of Hong Kong, communism and China in general while my wife, daughter, son-in-law, and I spent the weekend at the Halloween Haunt at Kings Island.  I love the Kings Island amusement park best during the cool October evenings, with the fog machines creating an eerie atmosphere as dressed up monsters roam around the park terrifying people.   This year new to the park, is an attraction called Madame Fatale’s Cavern of Terror.  As I stood in line I thought of how Lakota—my home school district could justify with a straight face sending public employees to China while opening the doors to that communist country in a mutual exchange.  I had to remind myself that the public unions that run Lakota and every other school in the country are in love with the communism of China, and without question Lakota sees such outreach programs with communist China to be wonderful, and beneficial to children everywhere.  As I looked around at the fantastic attraction at Kings Island I couldn’t help but think that China could not produce a Kings Island on their own.  As a communist country, they didn’t even think of such leisure activity for their population until they took over the lease of Hong Kong from the British government in 1997.

Disney built an amusement park in Hong Kong and since then, China has been attempting to copy the idea of amusement parks slowly trying to accept little bits of capitalism.  China didn’t have a choice.  Hong Kong was a capitalist city in their homeland but run by the British government seized in the Opium War (1839-1842).   England developed a flourishing economy while the rest of China stayed committed to communism 100 years later in 1949.  This caused economic drudgery for the 1 billion people living in China except for the fortunate 5 million people living in and around Hong Kong benefiting from capitalism.  Since 1997 China has been letting reluctantly the influence of capitalism expand their economy financially, but socially, they are in serious trouble leading them to a cliff of which their country will not avoid.

These thoughts brought me back to my question, why does Lakota pride itself for a relationship with China?  Why has The United States allowed itself to become indebted to China’s economic wealth?  Unfortunately the reason is that the communists in America currently calling themselves progressives wish for The United States to be more like China, but what they don’t understand is the reality behind that decision.  The evidence of such a fatal flaw in recognition can be seen in the kind of amusement parks America has as opposed to the copy cat regime of China.  Kings Island would not exist in China under their own ingenuity.  Because of communism, the people of China would have to see it done first.  As a communist country short on imagination, they would never come up with a concept for a Halloween Haunt like Kings Island did.

Wild economic creativity is a very specific benefit of capitalism, and America in general.  The kind of ingenuity that was on grand display at Madame Fatale’s Cavern of Terror was easy for the capitalist producers working at Cedar Fair Amusements.  Not so easy for amusement park workers in China who have to look at American websites to figure out what’s cool and what’s not.  Of a particular note was a new trick used in a haunted house that I had never experienced before.  One of the monsters in the maze said my name as I walked by, which did cause me to give the guy a double-take.  I saw that he didn’t attempt to make eye contact with me and as I was going up the stairs out of the pit of catacombs I noticed that he made no further attempt to communicate with me.  Instead I saw a woman speaking to the monster with a sheet of paper in her hand.  I spent the rest of the evening trying to figure out if I knew the guy from somewhere and if I did how he could have recognized me so quickly in such poor light.  As I reasoned through the events leading up to that particular confrontation I realized that the attraction which was entirely indoors had used some type of face recognition software similar to what the TSA are using to match my face with the records they have in the Kings Island season pass database.  The woman would tell the monster the names of a particular person as she got them off her computer between groups passing through that zone.  It was a neat trick that certainly got my attention.

But in China, doing such things takes great effort, whereas in The United States creativity is actually taken for granted.  China is feared all over the world because of its land mass, and its vast numbers of population, but they are in serious trouble because of their communist, collectivist oriented society.  After adopting communism from The Soviet Union the Chinese have imposed upon themselves the same kind of economic restrictions that crushed Russia two decades prior.  Additionally their social engineering policy of only one child per family is having devastating consequences.  Currently China is full of males looking for war with Japan over some territorial islands for the primary reason that there are not enough females to domesticate the males.  The men do not have the ability to have their own woman to share a life with, and have sex.  They have to share women like all communist societies advocate so strongly.  But that doesn’t exactly work, so the male population in China is strung up very tight.  Currently in China there are between 120 to 130 males for every 100 females.  There are more than 35 million people missing in China according to birth records, and the logical belief is that those people were girls born into families who wanted a boy, so they killed the girl.  One thing that the communists didn’t consider in their masterful social planning is that fathers would want a son to carry on their family name, and if the State only allowed them to have one child per family, they didn’t want to waste that on a girl.  That kind of culture is what public schools like Lakota are promoting to young students learning the merits of communism.

Using the same reasoning ability to add up the facts as I did over the haunted house name identification incident, it is not difficult to see where China is headed.  They have a heavily male population that must pay for sex in brothels, because not all men can have a woman, or they must become homosexual—which is another communist platform item.  Homosexuality is advocated by communists because it destroys the traditional family and gives the state the authority role over young people.  This has created some very unusual internal problems in China which can be explored more deeply in the article below.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2011/nov/02/chinas-great-gender-crisis

When President Obama speaks of putting America to work building bridges and roads, and hiring more teachers, cops and firefighters, he has in essence copied what communist China has been doing for a number of years, especially since taking over Hong Kong.  China to keep its citizens working has been building many “ghost cities” which are giant public works projects designed to keep the economy moving along.  But the trouble is nobody lives in them.  There are not companies to fill them, and no people to reside there.  They are just constructed cities designed by master planners for people who will never arrive.  They were built to cover up a serious economic problem that China is about to be crushed under—the failure of communism.

1.1   million workers in China work for Foxconn who probably makes your iPhone if you have one.  Foxconn had to close one of its factories after major riots over oppressive working conditions broke out recently in Taiyuan, leaving 79,000 workers out of a job.  The reason companies like Apple and other global electronics companies, including Hewlett-Packard, Dell and Microsoft use the Foxconn factories in China to make their products is because the union jobs in America would simply be too expensive.  I don’t blame them as American companies one bit for seeking out the most competitive advantage to their profit matrix.  I blame the communist government of China because they don’t give people a choice of economic options.  Thorough China’s collectivism they have socially engineered themselves into destruction.  They work where they’re assigned.  End of story.  The State controls virtually everything even down to the sex life of its citizens.  When the pressure becomes too great, the citizens simply kill themselves or riot out of desperation.  Read more about this terrible situation below:

http://www.nytimes.com/2012/09/24/technology/foxconn-factory-in-china-is-closed-after-worker-riot.html?_r=0

Communism is failing China in a huge way and the media in The United States along with the President and other academic types are keeping the failures quite because they are in denial.  Many of them have long advocated the utopia of communism in The United States and refuse to see the facts for the facts.  I suspect many of them would go through Madame Fatale’s Cavern of Terror as I did and would be shocked when a monster called their name out of the fog infested darkness.  But they would probably leave it at that, and not pursue the truth any further by adding up the facts to figure out how the monster knew their name.  They would simply accept the act without figuring out why it happened, and this is what all communists are guilty of.  This is why millions of people are dying in China right now—today!  This is why the worst civil rights abuses in the entire world are happening in China with the killing of millions of young girls.  If the crimes against women in China were added to the crimes against women in Islamic faith, women’s rights groups all over the earth would be in a deserved outrage.  But they are not, because they are not advocates for individual rights of women, but collective rights of humanity, and they cannot turn their attention against collective based organizations like the Islamic religion or the political philosophy of communism.  There is no place on earth where worker rights are so extremely oppressive as in China right now, today in that far away land where communism rules with an iron fist, accepting crony capitalism so long as their business partners outwardly support progressive causes—so everyone can sleep well at night.

That same night my family and I attended the Halloween Haunt at Kings Island we also went to Skyline Chili at Kings Mills, a delightful restaurant featuring Cincinnati’s world famous chili.  From the dining room window I could see the Eiffel Tower of Kings Island and all along the circumference of the room a model train ran around the parameter.  I enjoyed watching the train as we ate our dinner and I contemplated how wonderful capitalism is.  Around the counter the employees waiting to serve a new customer talked casually.  Their minds were not on riots like the conditions at the Foxconn plant in China instigated.  They simply wanted to get off work in time to play World of Warcraft meeting up in cyberspace with their guild friends.  For the young people working at Skyline Chili the world is open to them, and there are limitless options for them to fill their time.  At the Foxconn plant in China where the riots took place, the workers live, work, and play all the same facility in service to the State, like all good communists must do without question.

I would support public education in America if they publicly denounced their affiliation with labor unions and disguised communism.   I would feel better about my district of Lakota if they did not send employees on “goodwill” missions to a communist country that is currently killing millions of their current citizens behind smiling faces and letting American youth believe everything is alright.  Nobody gives a damn so long as their iPhone works, and they have the latest addition.   As I watched the train round the tracks at Skyline Chili I realized that what I hate most about labor unions—all labor unions—is that they use communism to erode the world of what’s good and wherever they gather they bring misery.  Even where they don’t gather, they bring misery because it forces people to flee their collective wrath.  In the case of companies like Apple seeking to offer a good product at a good price, they can deal with the communism of labor unions in The United States or they can deal with the communism of China and their forced work labor restrictions due to economic limitations.  American companies have the upper hand in China because the communist country has no ingenuity on their own, so they rely on America to give them their jobs which can be produced cheaper in China than in the United States.  But China with all its power or its population cannot make a haunted house like what was found at Kings Island in Madame Fatale’s Cavern of Terror.  And for me, that is the most frightening thought I had all evening.

‘Tail of the Dragon’ on Amazon.com: A wonderful review from a new reader

It took a few weeks after the initial release of my new novel to get the sales links up for Tail of the Dragon at Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble.com, but they are now up, and slowly reviews are beginning to come in from people who have bought and read the book. I do a lot of work here at Overmanwarrior’s Wisdom that I do out of a love of independence and because it’s the fight of our day—and I charge nothing for the service. I do it because I want to, and because I know people want, and need the information. But it makes me feel very good when I learn that people thank me for my work by purchasing one of my novels because it tells me that the people who read here value my efforts and they wish to back it the way we determine value in our society—with financial support.

More than money though comes comments like the very first one that went up on the new Amazon link. I was delighted to read that someone picked up Tail of the Dragon and read it, and understood exactly what I was trying to accomplish as a writer, and wrote a review that invoked much passion. Upon reading the comment, I did not expect such articulation, and it means a lot to me to see such words composed on behalf of Tail of the Dragon.

While it’s true that I wrote Tail of the Dragon to be a good ol’ throw back to the fun car chase stories out of the 1970’s, intended to appeal to anyone who played with Hot Wheels cars as a kid—both men and women—I always write with an extra layer of meaning for those who wish to look with deeper eyes. For those who don’t I would say that Tail of the Dragon is a very entertaining work that demands a second read just because the pace of the novel is very fast, and very intense, which is very much on purpose. But I personally enjoy the added layers of meaning in anything I read or write. I always look deeply into every subject, even if it means walking across the street. So it gives me great pleasure to see that one of the first readers who bought Tail of the Dragon off Amazon was able to see the added meanings that I placed within the storyline.

Even better is that the review appears to be from a woman, which gives me great hope that the audience for Tail of the Dragon will be diverse and not gender specific, which has always been my hope. Women typically aren’t interested in car crashes and high speed, mountainous roadways, but they are interested in the kind of men who are. The plot of Tail of the Dragon explores the reason, and that insight was not lost on the reviewer, which for me is the highest compliment. The review can be seen below:

“I just finished this book this morning and it evoked such feeling that I wrote this review immediately. This book speaks to what the “American Spirit” is. It’s not tangible or even fully describable, but we all know it when we see it. I think most of the people in this country have become scared and miserable because we suppress it. We are so worried about offending someone or becoming socially exiled that we fight against the light that shines within. We turn that light off so that we can conform and become socially acceptable to the masses. What is lost in this is our individual greatness. This greatness in each of us is what has fueled American ingenuity and progress throughout history. It created American exceptionalism. Now, we are all expected to be equal. No one is better than anyone else. We are all supposed to take our place and shut our mouths. It is this mentality that will put out the American fire. The fact is that we are NOT all equal. Some people ARE better than others. And that is okay. This is what makes us great. By attempting to level the playing field and give every person an equal chance, we bring down those who are great. The sky is no longer the limit and we all fail equally together. What Rich Hoffman has done in this book is materialize in fictional characters what all Americans, whether they admit it or not, wish they could do; throw caution to the wind and “flip the bird” at the proverbial “man.” His characters speak true to the corrupt collaborative nature of today’s politics and offers a view into how the tides could change if we defy today’s culture. Bravo and well done!”

The link to the Amazon site and the original review is:

Comments like that make all the hours and thought that go into a novel worth the time and effort. If a hundred people told me that they didn’t like the novel, it would not matter because I know that there are people like that reviewer out there in the world who can read a book like Tail of the Dragon and see clearly the emotions it evokes, and that gives me great hope for the human race.

It is not good to always do what one tells you to do. It is good and healthy to thumb your nose at the law from time to time. It is healthy to worry first about the contents of your spousal relationships and not give a damn what societies opinion is of it. Those and many more are the types of themes explore in Tail of the Dragon and while I explore many factual diatribes here at the OW just learning facts and figures won’t help alter the course of the human race, which is needed due to the problems of the day.

What is needed is a focus on stories that powerfully exhibit individuality over collectivism, because the human race must relearn the art of independence. And it is the task of the artists to provide content that starts the thought process in that direction. As a writer to receive a review like the first one at Amazon.com it means more to me than any amount of sales receipts, because it tells me that one person in a large ocean of curious minds understood my deeper meanings set against a middle-aged couple in a fixed up old Firebird running for their lives not from the law, but toward freedom at any and all costs.

Thank you!

I learned recently that Amazon.com will not allow comments unless a recent purchase has been made from their website. Not sure why they do that, but that’s the policy they are working under. Using Conroversy to Find the Truth in Public Education: ‘League of Wisdom’ Rises

I know this is a long article but complicated themes require advanced explanation, which is why I provided you with a little music to listen to that sums up the content you are about to read.  For ease of review I have linked many of the supporting articles to show clearly the path that brought us to this point in time.  If it hasn’t been obvious by now my premier strategy in fighting the Lakota School Levy has been a gradual increase of social controversy starting off small, and increasing with each levy attempt until something snaps. That will continue until the district makes drastic pay cuts in an honest attempt to balance their budget. The reasoning is an admission I came to years ago that the term “political correctness” was created by leftist extremists used to shackle the good manners of millions of conservatives. By holding conservatives to the impossible standard of living by “political correctness” rules, social parasites have been able to advance their own cause with great effectiveness. They often break their own rules while conservatives wither in paralysis by their sheer politeness. I decided not to play by those rules so to show others that what was holding conservatives back was not the superior philosophy of the political left, but the fear that conservatives have of controversy. By embracing controversy, I hoped to show thousands that the way to beat progressives was by not playing by the rules “they” created—and to not fear calling things by their real names.

If I had to do it again, I would home school my children during all their school years instead of just for a couple of years as my wife and I did. I never felt public education was teaching my children the dynamic aspects of life that I thought they should be exposed to. Instead, I always felt public education was teaching them to be “mediocre,” which was not what I desired as a father for my children. So to me, public education at its absolute best is a dismal failure.

Many haven’t figured it out yet but over $110 million Americans receive some sort of welfare, which can be seen on this chart released on The Blaze.com. This chart does not include Social Security, Medicare, or public education, and yes, to me public education is a form of welfare.

http://www.theblaze.com/stories/this-chart-showing-welfare-dependency-will-ruin-your-day/

The sharp increase in these numbers shows the goal of the Obama White House which has been the goal of all socialists who have been operating in America and that is to buy votes. Currently with all the trouble Obama is in with legal issues and a dismal economy, he still has 50% of the vote, because more than half the nation gets some sort of check from the government as shown by the chart.

Public education is one of the largest socialist scams ever perpetrated on the American people. It in essence attempts to teach socialist values to young people while selling the service to the parents and the adult population as essential to a child’s well-being. If I had to raise a child today I would teach the child at home using the K-through 12 online computer course shown at the link below. This is a much more efficient method of teaching young people instead of attending an expensive brick and mortar school full of socialist union thumping teachers’ hell bent on the destruction of The United States. If any proof were needed that public education is a terrible travesty just look at the welfare numbers. When half the population is on welfare public education has failed to produce self-reliant individuals who are productive with entrepreneurial thinking. Instead, public schools make wishy-washy liberal leaning young people who take too long to grow up. Many of them don’t begin to see the light until their late 30’s these days and by then they have already started to raise misfits of their own, and the damage is already done.

When I first began my journey on this education reform path that I am on, it began by simply pointing out that the labor contracts for the public school unions were inflated. Since I had experience in my family after raising my own children that much of the education claims public schools were making toward a child’s well-being were inflated, because I had taken a very active role in teaching my children, I felt it was only fair to challenge the union position. Back on September 20th of 2010 I went on 700 WLW to talk about the real reason that my school district of Lakota needed a school levy, was to pay for the excessive wages of its employees. As I was doing that Kyle Olsen was putting up billboards around Cincinnati exposing the scam of public education. The Ohio Education Association responded to this statement by me and Olsen with a typical response at the time from the union, which can be seen below from the Pulse Journal. To listen to my original report on 700 WLW click here. The response from the OEA shown next made me so angry that I decided after the Lakota Levy was defeated to not take my foot off the neck of public education controlled by the labor unions. After the assault by David Little, a progressive activist, I decided that I had enough of these thugs who had taken over a school where I pay an enormous amount of money in personal taxes—all so people who wanted a quality “free” education for their children could pretend they were being good parents by spending a lot of money on homes to live in a school district that was highly sought after in the real estate market. The goodness of the district was being built by my property value which is in essence wealth redistribution because it was being consumed by value to fund the welfare system of public education. Click here to see the attack from David Little against me shortly after the first WLW radio spot. You can see the entire article from the Pulse Journal at the link below.

LIBERTY TWP. — Representatives of the Lakota Education Association say they hope voters will listen to facts given out by the school district rather than “rhetoric” from a group advertising in the area on bill boards.

“It has become the trend during election campaigns for anti-levy and anti-public education groups like (Education Action Group) to surface, speaking out against public education, and then to retreat again once the elections are over,” according to a statement from the OEA.

“We think that, first of all, it’s an outside group that is anti-public schools and anti-union,” Rodney Bird, labor relations consultant for the OEA said. “We believe the voters in southwest Ohio and in Lakota are intelligent enough to make their decision on a local levy based on the facts given by the district.”

http://www.pulsejournal.com/news/news/local/lakota-union-leaders-respond-to-area-billboard-c-1/nNcxd/

That’s how it was back then; the unions were quoted all the time in the paper because nobody challenged them. People were afraid that the union would vandalize their homes, or that they would be publicly ridiculed within their communities. The force of the unions and the monopoly of their education empires deserved to have their asses kicked. So I started this site, Overmanwarrior’s Wisdom to contrast what the OEA said about people like me during levy elections. When the election was over, I did not go away. To this day, the union has been exposed for what they are, crooked thugs hell-bent on socialist destruction of America. After three years of very public battles the unions hardly have instigated a peep, they haven’t threatened to strike in the entire Cincinnati area primarily because of the constant coverage on 700 WLW.

I went on to do dozens and dozens of radio spots against the unions in Ohio and never were they able to come on the air and combat me, because they could not fight the truth. Instead they attempted to use the PTA organizations and the “real-estate cartels” to do their dirty work. Everyone knows that most of the pro levy supporters on an organized front are real-estate agents because they use the quality of the free schools to help sell homes, while passing the bill on to residents who already live in the community. Heads rolled and people lost their jobs on all fronts. I had a right to get angry when I discovered that volunteers supporting the union cause were camping outside the doors of a local Kroger and trying to smear my name to my friends and neighbors as they entered on a Saturday afternoon to buy groceries. Such thuggish behavior deserved an answer—it required an answer. I called them “latte sipping prostitutes with asses the size of car tires,” which is how I see the kind of people who support school levies. Click here to review. Yes it made a ruckus all over Cincinnati and I knew it would. The husbands of some of those real estate agents took offense and sided against me. But they didn’t do it because I was wrong, but because they knew I was right, and they didn’t want to face the music. They wanted instead to continue on with the illusion that education was free and that so long as everyone bent over for the union, that there would be peace in the community. They were angry with me because they needed my unquestioning compliance to their welfare use of public education to keep it quiet, and seemingly honorable.

Meanwhile reform is coming to public education even as the unions are standing in the way of progress, and much of that progress can be seen in the online programs that are beginning to explode everywhere. When I started this fight against public education it was with the knowledge that I was able to do a better job at teaching my children than the public school I sent them to could. So my wife and I home schooled them for a while and let them graduate early with online classes in high school, so they wouldn’t have to waste their time. I still had to pay taxes to the local school, even though I was able to do a better job, and that didn’t seem fair. Why should I be forced to participate in a system I think is dysfunctional, socialist, and completely inept? Why should I be forced to pay several thousand dollars a year to a public school that won’t even let children make the shape of a gun on the play ground, but will teach them how to put a condom on a fake penis in the fourth grade? The reason is because the government has a cozy relationship with organized labor to make education a monopoly in America and to take the value of property in the form of taxes to fund it in order to fulfill the local requirements of Agenda 21. Click here for review.

Ladies and gentlemen if my actions seem extreme at times over the last three years it is because you have not yet come to realize what I realized after reading those obnoxious comments from the OEA in the Pulse Journal all those years ago. We are not fighting to prevent socialism from taking over our country. It has already happened. Instead, we are fighting for our freedom once again, just as we did in at the start of the country. My beginning in that process is to fight the monopoly that dominates the minds of our youth, in public education. It is simply a form of welfare to the parents who use it for a babysitting service while they are busy with their careers. Public education is welfare even to the idiots who pay over $5000 a year in property taxes so their little child can receive a “free” education. In reality, the $5000 is cheaper than most private schools which is why parents who claim that their property tax bill is something they are glad to pay for the benefit of their children are neglecting to report because they are simply counting on public education welfare to make them appear to be better parents than they actually are while saving a tone of money on private instruction in the process.

As it can be seen, a lot has changed in the last three years, and what used to be boisterous dialogue on behalf of the unions now is seeing residents fighting back with boisterous dialogue of their own. In three short years we have changed the argument, and in three more years the brick and mortar schools will be forced to adapt entirely new philosophies. More and more people will begin to take part in the K-through-12 programs online and those people will be much less inclined to pass school levies since they aren’t using the public schools. The unions will be forced to come to reality, because people for the first time in a century are sticking up for themselves and fighting back.

If the unions had shut their mouth after my visit to 700 WLW on that September 20th day in 2010 and not attempted to come after me personally, and not went after Kyle Olsen just for speaking the truth, they may not have pissed me off so much to start this website. But they did, and because of their desire to suppress any opposition I will see this through to their end. It moved from a level of civil discussion to thuggish attempts at intimidation, which is a big no, no. If I believed that the stake of our children were truly better off in the hands of public education I would leave the matter alone. But because I did teach my children at home and do know better, I know that public education is a scam, and it’s social welfare for the young, pretentious parents who are most of the time kids themselvs—or real estate agents trying to sell a house.

Now, as opposed to the date of that Pulse Journal article shown here, much has changed. There are more people than ever who have joined our little “League of Wisdom” that have gathered at this website and taken the argument to their own districts to achieve the same results. The heart of the argument is not what is good for kids. If it were, the answer would be for all parents to home school their children—because statistically, those children are learning at a much improved rate over public school children. Instead, government schools are just another welfare program designed to tie up the wealth of a school district in a complicated United Nations program agreed to by many politicians in Washington under the advice of The Department of Education created in 1979. For the politicians who make such agreements their intention is to use education as another welfare meal ticket that paves the way for their own re-elections. Free education to the politician has the same effect as food stamps, and other government programs that are given to citizens in hopes of buying a vote. Jobs under the same system are created to support the welfare system which adds proportionally to the 110 million people on welfare already. Add to that welfare number all the people using Social Security, Medicare, and hold jobs that are government sponsored, such as teachers, police officers, fire fighters, IRS agents, ATF agents, Homeland Security personnel, GAS employees, FBI agents, CIA agents, military personnel, TSA employees, postal workers, EPA workers, BMV workers, court-house workers, General Motors workers and on and on and on, it will be discovered that well over 80% of our country is dependent on government in some degree or another. Most of those jobs were created with the same intentions as welfare was, done under the mask of goodness and safety; the real intent was to create dependence, and bloc voting. Ultimately, this has placed before America the quagmire of freedom. We’re not fighting to keep socialism from our lives, it’s already everywhere in American society and has been for so long that nobody would know what to do without socialism. We are now fighting for a freedom that founded the country, because it has already been lost, and must again be recreated in the minds of our society. That will not happen by calling things like public education by names that don’t belong to them. Currently socialists will declare that public education is a “human right.” It is not. It’s a benefit to a society that decides it wants to do something nice for the citizens of their community. That niceness is cheapened when people are forced to participate in a system they see is a failure but can’t change it because so many people have come to depend on the government service, nobody can escape the obligation any longer. When that happens politicians have already bankrupted the system beyond repair, because it’s no longer appreciated, but is expected by a society that’s addicted to welfare not always by their own doing, but simply because they held their hand out to government and discovered that shackles were placed about their wrists which tied them forever to the greedy claws of government for all eternity, or the meager duration of the individual life to be consumed like wood on a campfire.

In the end public education consumes the lives of society and leaves behind only ashes. The memory of a once burning flame is all that remains, that is eventually lost in the darkness of a cold night. That cold night is the shroud of socialism that lingers always on the outskirts of freedom. And it is that socialism that is wrapped around American thought and has placed in the minds of most the shackles of a hand-out sold as a crutch, but intended to be political paralysis. From public education the paralysis migrates into the rest of our society and will continue until freedom fighters learn that by “playing by the rules,” is to handicap success on the battlefield of ideas. It is time that those of us in this new “League of Wisdom” stop worrying about hurting the feelings of the social parasites from the political left because in so doing, we are losing our country. Playing the “high” ground will not win the war of ideas, and it’s time to get down into the trenches and fight them where they hide—which is behind the masks of truth. And it starts by not being afraid of a little controversy.

Get ready for the new conservatives……..the old ones were a lot more passive. That won’t happen again, I promise.  And Monroe, the ‘League’ has your back.

We Should Have Called Guinness: Tales from 2012’s Annie Oakley Western Showcase

I haven’t made a secret of it, every year when we have dinner at the Fairlawn Steak House with my friends at the annual Annie Oakley Festival it’s a kind of calibration for me to get my roots firmly back in the ground. To see last year’s article (CLICK HERE). It was refreshing to see some of the old faces again, and it was wonderful to see new ones. There were some who had paying jobs who couldn’t come this year which happen to fall on this particular weekend which was unfortunate, but does happen. For the most part, the Wild West is alive and well with the group I feel privileged to know and call friends.

I’ve known Gery Deer for around a decade now as he has put on the Western Showcase at Annie Oakley for about that long. It’s a thankless job that encompasses a lot of love for the Western Arts which ranges from music to period weapons. I was asked by many people who know me in other places besides my outback hat and bullwhips if I was going to the Restoring Love event down in Dallas, Texas over the same weekend. Even though there were many reasons for not going, most of them due to time constraints, my primary restraint was not to miss this wonderful event on the last weekend of July at the Darke County Fairgrounds.

It was nice to see Lash Luke back from Birmingham, Alabama. Luke came to his first Annie Oakley event last year as a 16 year old. His mom had brought him and he attended his first dinner with us at the Fairlawn. This year he was back, this time his dad brought him. He was much faster and sharper as a 17 year old, and had improved a lot in just one year of very hard work. He was so good that he won the heart of the young lady who was Miss Annie Oakley this year at the event that completely takes over Greenville, Ohio. She was so impressed with him that every free moment she had where she didn’t have to do “official” Annie Oakley business she was in the Coliseum at our Wild West exhibit to see him as we were cracking whips and throwing knives to a captive audience.

An impressive new whip maker named David Crain brought his act up from Middletown and set up a booth that had a lot of interest as he displayed his hand made nylon whips which were very, very good. I worked with them all day and they had wonderful balance and a lot of snap. His whips are also extremely creative as he custom turns all the handles on his own lathe. By trade he is an instrument maker—specifically drums and his whips look very much like instruments and for an extremely reasonable cost. I could easily have done two handed routines with my normal 6’ Terry Jacka 12 plait whip that costs nearly $600 in one hand and one of David Crain’s nylon whips in the other of the same length and not known much of a difference for around $130. His whips are perfect for people just trying to get into the sport as his whips are wonderful for beginners and professionals alike. In fact Richard Best who travels the country every year with his wife Donna Daring performing traditional western acts commissioned David to make a special nylon whip just for him. Richard has several nylon whips none of them he likes a whole lot, until he saw David’s.

During the whip competitions this year David Crain on behalf of his company Heartbeat Artistry donated the prizes for the Speed and Accuracy competition, the Speed Switch, and the Bull Whip Fastdraw. The prizes were 3’, 4’ and a 5’ custom made Crain whips. I was very happy with my performance this year even without as much time to practice as I normally do; I came away with my fastest time ever on the Speed and Accuracy competition of 11 seconds flat. The world record is 9 seconds hitting 10 targets. I hit 12 in 11 seconds which comes out to around .9 per crack. That was pretty good. If we had called Guinness for that attempt I might have had a world record, but I didn’t expect to come that close. Usually the winning time is 12.5 seconds to 14 seconds. I’ve won before with 12.6. I also did well on the speed switch this year with a time of 18.6 seconds which is more difficult because you have to use both hands going down the target stands one way with your right hand then back the other with your left. Times on that one are normally in the high 20’s because it’s hard to be accurate with both hands and time deductions for misses are very common. I also did well in the bull whip quick drawl, which I’ve had a problem with in the past. If you go too fast, you tend to pull the whip off to the right depending on how it’s coiled. So I backed off my speed a bit this year and hit the target squarely each time, something my son-in-law Paul is very, very good at. He has won the bullwhip quick draw more than any of us because he has the perfect combination of aggression, patience, precision and of course speed. That’s the trick of the fast draw which was invented by Gery Deer and Kirk Bass of Bass Blades.

Because of my good day with the whip competitions my grandson will be the recipient of the whips won from these competitions when he’s born. He doesn’t know it yet because he’s still kicking around inside my daughter, but the moment he’s born, he gets the 3’ whip. When he gets older, like age three and then four, I’ll give him the longer ones on his birthdays. The whip maker David had his daughter with him and she was 5 years old and cracking a leaf out of his hands. So my unborn grandson will be expected to do at least that much. Those whips will be the perfect size to learn on for a small child and they will all match and will take him well into his teenage years.

Kirk and Melodie Bass routinely energize the crowds with their knife throwing shows that are very unique. Kirk has been throwing knives for about 8 years now, and he is one of the best there is. The Bass family concentrates on knife throwing, but they do a little bit of everything, including whips. Melodie has always participated in the bullwhip competitions having fun as she goes. While we were eating at the Fairlawn her 5 year old curly haired son gazed at me over chicken sticks. I remember vividly 5 years ago when Melodie put up a respectable time on the speed and accuracy competition while pregnant with that child. They are an amazing family.

Gery Deer and his wife were as busy as ever. They are regularly booked for whip shows, and musical acts with Gery’s band titled The Brothers and Company who are most recently known for their controversial appearance at the Murphy Theater in Wilmington, Ohio. There they performed a song called “Big Butter Jesus Burned to the Ground” in homage to the famous statue in Monroe, Ohio that caught fire during a lightning storm. Gery currently does regular news segments for Channel 2 WTDN in Dayton as well as other television work in and around Dayton. Gery occasionally does convention and costume work for Indiana Jones because of his whip studio. Gery has most of the official costume items of Indiana Jones except for an authentic hat as it was designed for Raiders of the Lost Ark, which is a very unusual Fedora design. At Annie Oakley this year a custom hat maker from Cleveland drove down and met Gery to give him the most authentic Indiana Jones hat I’ve ever seen worth somewhere in the neighborhood of $500. It looks exactly like the Raiders hat that is in the Smithsonian, to every detail. It even has the varied brim widths around the hat to hang down over the face more than a typical Fedora. Gery was excessively happy about receiving this new hat as he wore it to dinner after their music performance.

Like all good things, they don’t last forever. The night had to come to a conclusion at some point in time. Most of us reluctantly sat around the dining table at the Fairlawn drawing out the evening even longer, but once we started paying checks, the indication that the marathon race to the next Annie Oakley event was about to begin for 2013 became clear.

A lot happens in a year and annually at the Annie Oakley Western Showcase I calibrate myself to the true values that hold everything up, the values that support family, friendships, and nations, and all those elements are present at the dinner table at the Fairlawn Steak House. The truth is easy to see for those who venture outside of their comfort zone just a little bit. For those who don’t, one can only feel pity as their lives are like compass needless spinning in perpetual search for true north. For me, north is in Greenville, Ohio and the friends I meet there every year. It’s in the whip cracks, the gun fire, and the sound of the knives sticking hard into a wooden backdrop. It’s the smell of fried streak fries and wood smoke from an open campfire. It’s the bright eyes of little children clapping at the magic tricks of Professor Karns, or the whip routines of Lash Luke, the roping of Richard Best and the bravery of Melodie Bass. But more than anybody it is Gery Deer who keeps it all together one year at a time performing western acts that are nearly extinct. In him it lives with perpetual hope, that tomorrow it will be alive for a new generation. And when my grandson is born, it will begin with a 3 foot whip from David Crain. Because if I need to do anything different in this upcoming year as opposed to years past, it’s more of what has worked and less of what didn’t. For me what works best are lots of bull whips and cut targets, with memories, friends and 8 X 10’s.

Arne Duncan Promises Money in Cincinnati: Another scandal at Lakota pushed under the rug

As Lakota Local Schools attempted to put out the fire of more inappropriate contact between a substitute teacher at Lakota West and a female student, “educrats” from all over The United States gathered in downtown Cincinnati to discuss how to improve education. In Southwestern Ohio a quiet battle has been raging that many didn’t even know had started. Those on the battlefield knew very well what was at stake. Public schools have been underperforming for years leaving children empty shells of propaganda going into their adulthoods and the teachers led by their labor unions have charged too much to do it. Tax payers have began to say no to tax increases on their properties that are losing value faster than nighttime temperatures in Antarctica. Suddenly the entire public education system is being exposed as an industry of looters, a simple service oriented government bureaucracy as useless as an attendant at the license bureau.

Over the last two years there have been many groups that have pushed back against the high cost of these service jobs in education, and have properly pointed out the broken nature of the funding structure which acts like a parasite on property owners. It is disgraceful for tax payers to learn that the teachers and administrators they are employing in their districts are making on average over $60K a year, and getting terrible results among the student population. Then it has been learned that the teachers are having sex with the students in great abundance, the service of the public employees to the public has not been good—it certainly hasn’t been worth $60K per year. In the Cincinnati region the news has been national with the largest and wealthiest districts like Lakota having serious troubles with scandals that have very much damaged the credibility of public education as an institution.

So it came as no surprise that the 2012 Labor Management Conference in downtown Cincinnati focused on transforming the teacher profession with over 600 people from 40 states attending consisting of school superintendents, board presidents, and union representatives to “collectively” unite the teaching profession. Even Arne Duncan the U.S. Education Secretary under Emperor Obama came, and among all those people not a single one was a productive citizen. Every single one of them are parasites to the economy, meaning they live off tax money without directly contributing to the nations GDP. So the essence of the gathering in Cincinnati was to put out the fires that have been raging against public education and to get control of the situation before that fire spreads to the rest of the country.

Of course at this conference all these “professionals” were told that they were critical to the futures of American children by the union leaders–so the educrats were all drinking the Kool-Aid. I know this because I saw the types of key words people use to find my articles and suddenly on Wednesday and Thursday this past week the popular search word, “Rich Hoffman No Lakota” came up over 150 times, and that hasn’t happened since March when the Enquirer story came out blowing open my scandalous comments calling levy supporters “latté sipping prostitutes.” So the buzz was on to deal with the “educator haters” of Southern Ohio, which to the labor representatives present I’m at the top of their list. But that is the “unofficial news” not intended for the papers.

The news that did make the papers in the propaganda arm of the Educrats public relations was that $700 million dollars in federal education grants are coming to the area, which is designed to alleviate the short-falls happening by local funding refusals of property tax increases and cuts of state contributions to districts. This is supposed to be a good announcement, as though the federal government was going to swing in and save public education from itself, and their high employee costs. All the participants of this conference are social parasites of tax money and they forget that the money coming from the federal government is tax money too, still provided by the people of the states. It’s simply a shuffling around of money to make the labor leaders happy and willing to work with the school superintendents for a couple of years while the anger toward public schools calms down.

To help promote districts of the area that are struggling, like Cincinnati Public Schools, which is suffering from declining enrollment, yet there are plans to go for another tax increase in November of 2012, public recognition was given. CPS was lauded for its ability to “collaborate” with union leadership and school administration. Arne Duncan stated, “unions and school leaders are getting along better these days, in part because they realize that American schools need to ramp up education or risk losing economic and political standing in the world.” The trouble with Arne’s statement is that his concern is in fulfilling the requirements of his boss Emperor Obama and the commitment to Agenda 21 for the United Nations, so global standards are the context of the statement. But for the people of Cincinnati, the parents of the 33,000 students at CPS just want their children to have a job—a real job. Not a government created job like the 600 people at the Labor Management Conference. Those aren’t real jobs; they are service jobs like a waiter at a restaurant, or a bagger at the grocery store. Real jobs make the food that is served or placed in the bags. The service job simply mediates between the product and the consumer. The focus of the 600 attendees of the labor conference presided by Duncan is to create more service oriented employees as products of their schools, and figuring out a way to consume more tax money to get it.

The climax of this Conference was the announcement that 50 parents, teachers and community leaders in Cincinnati will head to Columbus on May 30th to protest Ohio’s unconstitutional school funding system. When I first heard this news, I thought addressing the unconstitutional funding structure in Ohio sounded like a good idea, until I learned who was behind the announcement. A group called Prepare the Future of Southwest Ohio is paying for the 58 seat bus transporting protestors to Columbus and a group called Strive Partnership is supplying the food. These groups are working with Progress Ohio, the progressive political organization of Ohio, and the Ohio Federation of Teachers. So the attempt is a show of force by organized labor to extort more tax money from the state because local communities are refusing to increase taxes on themselves.

The trouble with “properly” funding education positions, and the reason these public employees and their minions of parental supporters are taking these measures is because they have seen the future and if the states leave the funding to the local school districts voters are going to force down the cost of education and these progressive “educrats” know that voters will reject more and more tax increases when it comes directly out of their property value. So the parasites at the 2012 Labor Management Conference know they are doomed with school funding unless they can get the money for their extraordinary pay checks out of the state where tax payers can’t see so clearly how the money is spent. When Scott Sloan asked me on 700 WLW why I don’t join up with these types of groups to solve the school funding problem I answered that these employees aren’t interested in the same thing that I am. I want to see education become cheaper. I want to drive down the cost per pupil. These educrats simply want to maintain the wage structure they were promised when they moved into an education profession, where they could be paid on average over $60K per year, cash in their personal days, work 9 months out of the year and have all holidays off, then retire at 55 only to be rehired the day after to become a double-dipper. They wish to maintain the scam. I wish to fix it for good by driving out all the looters of education. By my definition every one of the 600 attendees of the 2012 Labor Management Conference are parasites to the rest of America, and every one of them could be removed from their jobs because they could afford to spend two days in Cincinnati talking about nothing, to achieve nothing, and intend nothing but smoke and mirrors with an attempt to reframe their social argument.

That is why I will not go to Columbus with these educrats to speak in their favor to legislators in order to obtain for them more loot allocated toward public education. The $700 million that Arne Duncan is throwing at these labor leaders and administrators is equivalent to throwing some bloody meat to a pack of wolves. It will only appease the parasites for a short time before they are hungry for more. By then, Arne and his education employees across the nation hope that society goes back to sleep and forgets about the scam they are attempting to perform in broad daylight right in front of all our faces. But it won’t work, because just like them, the opposition is recalibrating our message as well, and they won’t like the result.

So no matter how much protesting they do, or how many meetings they indulge in, people like me will continue to report every scandal, every accounting error, every fault they perform with the intention of driving out the weak leaving behind only the strong and employable. The way to end consumption by a parasite is to take away what the parasite eats, and in the big business of public education, they eat money. And according to police in West Chester, the substitute teacher’s inappropriate contact between him and the female student was not sexual or criminal, and has been turned over to the school to deal with. So we’ll see what they do about it, even though they will surely attempt to keep it under the carpet. But they won’t be able to, because the public owns the carpet, and I’ll make sure we pull it up so we can see what’s underneath. And we’ll do it while all the educrats are at meetings patting themselves on the back and planning how to save the world—using our money to do it.
