Rand Paul Goes to Washington: Fighting back against the corrosive hive-like collective

So why the hoopla over Senator Rand Paul’s filibuster that recently took place during the first full week of March 2013?  Well the political clatter is over whether or not a President of The United States can assassinate American citizens on American soil at their discretion.  The controversial implication is the automated response—how could anyone conceive that an American president would ever act against the people who elected them?  The suggestion is a frightening one and most people are not prepared to deal with such a reality—yet that is exactly what the wording that the Justice Department has been attempting to preserve for President Obama with legal language that could easily be conjured up for some future political maneuver.  The alarm signs with the Obama administration and his Justice Department started years ago when they openly endorsed the voter harassment antics of the Black Panthers at polling places, then were caught in the terrible gun running scandal of Fast and Furious.  Then there was the tragedy of Benghazi which appears to be the result of the President’s military action against Libya without Congressional approval.  In spite of what the Obama administration has said about their peaceful intentions, and desire for justice, their actions display a hunger for power that is dangerous, which is why Rand Paul wants to make sure that the language of the law is defined in this moment of history for clarity, which is required given the level of deception that is common in politics.

It is sad that there are members of our American Republic who are so naive that they cannot see the mechanisms of evil that work behind the masses of collective rule.  Even though publicly there appears to be great differences behind the recently deceased Hugo Chavez who was the socialist dictator of Venezuela and President Obama, the big differences are in the checks and balances in The United States with the Constitutional power given to individual people and the House and Senate.   Idealistically Chavez and Obama might as well be identical twins, as Obama if left unchecked would undoubtedly run America in the same fashion that Chavez ran Venezuela—which appears to be Obama’s intention.  Progressives believe that if they don’t name an evil, that it doesn’t exist so they expect Obama’s actions to go un-noticed because the public façade is named to be conducted under the umbrella of goodness.

Yet real reporters like Bill O’Reilly are just now beginning to arrive at the dark place that many of us in the Tea Party movement have been declaring all along only to be shrugged off as conspiracy.  Is President Obama intentionally attempting to harm The United States through economic collapse?  I have stated that I believe Obama is doing just that and the evidence is stacking up in my favor.  But even mainstream reporters who might lean conservative, but attempt to be as fair as possible are starting to catch on that there is something really wrong with President Obama.  This led to one of the most explosive, and frustrated interviews that O’Reilly has had in many years when the liberal talk show host Alan Colmes attempted to defend Obama’s fiscal failures with the lure of conspiracy.

Colmes as a progressive knows that the way to diffuse a question he can’t answer is to attack the interrogative with wild accretions such as daring O’Reilly to say that Obama is deliberately attempting to harm Americans—which in the court of public perception would appear to be too extreme for believability.  Even though the facts point to such a reality, O’Reilly didn’t fall for it and turned the issue around on Colmes which became a violent exchange that I wish more conservatives would do.  When conservatives buckle under accusations of fascism, racism, or conspiracy theory, and dance around the issue without getting angry at the strategy they find themselves losing to the Alan Colmes type progressives nearly 100% of the time.  They end up like O’Reilly’s former back-up host John Kasich who is the current governor of Ohio as watered down versions of their former conservative selves.  Even when people like Kasich win in polling and elections, conservativism loses to the Progressive who is the architect of madness.  Colmes deserved what he got from O’Reilly and I would hope that more people would begin to defend themselves from the tyranny of the Progressive—because their work is sinister, deceitful, and disguised with smiling faces.  Their evil is well documented and can easily be seen in countries like Venezuela who operated without the checks and balances of a Republic like The United States.

In that context the actions of Rand Paul should be common place in the Senate and not the exception that it was.  America should function with the enthusiasm that was shown in the great old movie Mr. Smith Goes to Washington where Jimmy Stewart filibustered the senate in a very similar fashion that Rand Paul did in his 13 hour standoff.tweedledee-tweedledum-3  Government is not supposed to be like a mound of insects serving a collective cause of unity, they are supposed to be a group of representatives who hash out their differences in verbal combat for the good of the country, and display that nobody is above the law—not even a President of The United States.  America does not have a king, or a dictator, so they are not able to make decisions without accountability to other representatives of the Republic having an input. The facts and behavior behind President Obama show that he has a willingness to act without respect to these checks and balances, and this should raise concern among every American.  Thankfully, Senator Rand Paul acted as a proper representative under tenuous conditions, and justice has been pursued in his filibuster to the benefit of all no matter what political persuasions may be.  Right is right, and Paul acted in accord with the pursuit of truth, and justice—and the American way, which is truly unique on the world stage and should be the model every country across the planet uses for their own government.  The spirit of that government is often confusing and mired in controversy, but the intention was captured so wonderfully in the film Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, and the Rand Paul Filibuster.  The rest of the world should take notes.

Senate Bill 18 in Ohio: Pandering to the fearful, panic driven voter and beta men

Ohio Senator Shirley Smith (D-Cleveland) recently introduced Senate Bill 18, drafted to ban all “assault weapons,” broadly defined as any firearm capable of carrying “ten or more” rounds of ammunition. In a February 12 release, the Senate Democratic Caucus listed the legislation as one of its ten priorities for the current session.  In a wonderful discussion on 55 KRC recently Brian Thomas challenged the premise of Senate Bill 18 with one of the supporting senators in what became a rather vigorous exchange that articulated the gun argument in modern politics very accurately.  Have a listen.

http://ohio.mediatrackers.org/2013/02/20/ohio-democrats-propose-assault-weapons-ban-statewide-ammo-registr/

If passed, the bill – co-sponsored by Edna Brown, Eric Kearney, Michael Skindell, Charleta Tavares, and Nina Turner, all Democrats – would also create a government registry to track all gun and ammunition purchases in the state, maintained by the Attorney General’s Bureau of Criminal Investigation.  The Bill as proposed is the result of overly emotional legislators who are responding to the lobby power of overly emotional voters, who spend much of their time afraid of their own shadows.  This tendency alone does not make them dangerous to the pursuits of freedom.  However, as voters, the fearful are represented in a republic just as much as the brave, and from the political vantage point of the progressive—and their most ardent champion—the Democratic Party, fear is the way they advance their causes of liberalism.

Progressives use fear to expand education spending without results, they use fear to expand government such as what has been seen over the sequester cuts, they use fear to pass police levies, fire levies, and virtually every government program where a legislator writes words into law to appease the weak and small-minded.  It can be argued accurately that the trouble of our modern society is that we have allowed the frailest minded to dictate our path toward socialism through their lack of personal courage.

Senate Bill 18 is driven by these fearful forces.  Their historical accomplices might have been the Mayan society who cut out the heart of a captured enemy to appease the God’s so that their crops would manifest and their city residents would not starve from lack of food.  The advocates of gun control wish to believe that if they impose upon society a weaponless culture that human beings will be forced to embrace each other with intentions of peace.  But they are wrong, terribly wrong.  Their folly is rampant with voodoo like superstition that has no basis in reality and simply settles in their minds the illusion of security.

For a long time the courageous in society have yielded to these panicky politicians and voters so not to hurt their feelings.  It was out of compassion that the American brave shook their heads and treated these law driven entities like children afraid of bolts of lightning that streak across the sky.  But that time has closed, as the brave in America have seen the result of such capitulation.  American society is on its way to becoming just another third world country reeking with rule by superstition instead of bold logic, and we don’t like it.  This realization has given rise to the Tea Party and other liberty pursuing groups that are putting the arguments on the table for discussion in some instances such as in the Brian Thomas discussion for the first time.

Brian Thomas on 55 KRC has stood up for Second Amendment rights for many years—well before there was ever a Tea Party movement.  But the discussions were often categorized as radical conspiracy theory by a far right fringe mentality.  But the viewpoint of gun rights is not a political ideology of the right or the left.  It is of the bold and the weak.   Gun advocates wish to be in charge of their own lives and not trust their life or death to the devices of government.  Government can’t even get public education correct, let alone show up at a home at 2 AM to prevent the robbery of a family defending their property from a villain.

After listening carefully to the words of the senator in the Brian Thomas interview I am convinced that progressives seek to hide their natural cowardness from society with a blanket of security provided by government.  Progressives wish to think themselves equal to the courageous, without being actually brave.  Therefore the cost of government is so great in 2013 because the trend in America is to grow up as soft minded overly emotional, individuals that conglomerate like animal herds to celebrate their lack of courage.  Government expands to provide security to the masses who have allowed their minds to be fearful of every possible tragedy, and to hedge their lives against those threats not by their own actions, but those of collective security.

America is supposed to be the land of the free and home of the brave.  The brave are the backbone of America, and the Constitution assumes that it will be the brave who will defend America from all forms of tyranny, both foreign and domestic.  The Second Amendment is for the brave, who should be on hand to eliminate threats as they happen, not afterwards.  The brave could have prevented Sandy Hook in the halls of that school if such a place would openly embraced in empowering the brave to defend the weak.  It could have prevented Aurora if the entire audience hadn’t been disarmed before seeing a movie in that tragic Colorado shooting.  It is the brave who always protects the weak, and that needs to be celebrated.  There is no law that can truly protect the weak from the parasitic aggressive—only the brave can.  Only the courageous can defend America from those who wish to harm it and that is why there is a Second Amendment.  The brave do not ask the weak to be courageous.  They only ask the feeble-minded to stay out-of-the-way while the strong perform their work—and to have the respect to not muddy the waters of the electorate with cries for more politicians to pander to the whims of the deficient.  Even the beta man has a role in the grand tapestry of society.  They may excel at presenting spreadsheets for fiscal planning; they may even have a fresh perspective on an idea.  They may invent the next great thing in society—but they may not be good with a gun, or putting down a potential rapist attempting to impose themselves on an unwilling victim.  But they should respect those who are good at such things.  Because the best gun control is putting them in the hands of those who know what to do with them, and are brave enough to use those skills to keep society truly safe, with the valor that comes naturally to a minority of the population.

The videos above are America’s version of gun control.

Winning at ‘Survivor’: Maintaining the rarity of toughness to gain an edge

I get the typical questions still almost every day I do it, wondering why I ride a motorcycle in the harsh cold and falling snow.  During the span of days where 6 AM temperatures hovered around 15 degrees in early February, 2013 through black ice and drifting snow I rode my motorcycle as I always do to the inquisitive curiosity of many.  They don’t understand why a 45 year-old man is riding such a vehicle and suffering through the painful cold when I clearly don’t have to.  My answer is one that many can’t understand logically, but it has to do with maintaining a Survivor mindset, one that does not falter under harsh conditions and can continue thinking when a physical reality is filled with pain.  That answer leaves even more people scratching their heads because they don’t understand why such skills would be necessary in today’s world.  But over the years I have done a very good job at surviving anything that has come my way, and I have been so good at it that my family has always joked that I should be a contestant on the TV show Survivor.  In fact, half-way serious back during the third season of Survivor when they were going to Africa I actually tried out for the show.  I was only 33 years-old at the time and went so far as to obtain my passport to appear on the show.  Below is my audition tape that I sent to the producers.  Their criteria at the time was to pick one item that I would want to bring with me on Survivor and describe why.  I picked my 12 foot bullwhip.

The fun thing about watching that old video now is that I haven’t changed that much from then to now.  My oldest daughter was just a little girl at the time as she held targets for me like she always used to.  I filmed that little audition tape while my wife was making breakfast with her mother on a brisk November morning mainly because I wanted to send a message to my kids not to be afraid to try anything even if the odds are very much against you.  Often the fun is in the journey, so it was delightful to assemble those clips with my daughter and allow her to take an active part in helping me try out for such a large television production while at the same time giving me a creative way to tell her the back history of how I came into using bullwhips as a hobby.

By now there is over a decade of Survivor episodes so we all know how the game has been played.  Even though I haven’t played that particular game on that particular show I have played the game in real life very effectively.  Some who know me best have seen to what extremes I am willing to play the game of Survivor in real life.  I’ve had to do it with several companies, personal triumphs, also with politics and in hindsight I had very good instincts to try out for Survivor all those years ago.  Watching the kind of people who have won over the last decade and studying how they’ve won I would have had a good chance at winning the million dollar prize, which is why that show has always been so popular.  The large financial incentive in the game pits many different types of personalities against each other in a successful duplication of reality.  After all, we all play Survivor in our everyday lives in some form or another, so we enjoy watching the show as it strips away all the masks that such competition hides behind.  In the TV game Survivor the settings are always exotic and primitive with the basic human condition exposed under the rugged conditions and easy for viewers to study—which is why the show has been so successful.

Even though I didn’t get the opportunity to be on that show I have survived many personal episodes over the years, and you might be surprised dear reader how many times my use of the bullwhip has bailed me out over that span.  Much of the time it is knowing when to be intense, when to form an alliance, when to break an alliance, when to be unpredictable, when to be predictable, when to show your cards and when not to that dictates who wins and loses in the game of Survivor which we all play every day.  Being good at Survivor requires an understanding of who is scheming against you and who is simply trying to use you to get closer to their eventual goal of which you share with them the final prize.  Much of the time alliances are formed with those you know eventually must be taken out before the game ends and you must detect when they are going to make a move against you so that the aggression can be headed off before hand.

In that regard the game of Survivor that we are all playing is not for a million dollars or even to survive in corporate America.  The game of Survivor we are playing now is one for all the marbles in American philosophy.  For the reasons that John Boehner has sided with Barack Obama in many cases while publicly pretending to dual with him is to maintain the alliance the two have formed along the lines of what George Soros recently revealed about a strategy against the Tea Party being played out in Davos, Switzerland.  Boehner wants to protect machine politics as does Obama, so they both have that trait in common and find the Tea Party as a threat to their personal philosophy.  They may not agree on much else, but they know they must get rid of the Tea Party before they fight each other, so they form a union, just like in the show Survivor.  CLICK THE LINK BELOW FOR MORE.

http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2013/02/03/soros-obama-trying-to-split-the-republican-party-push-the-tea-party-out-into-the-wilderness/

The weakness of the Tea Party movement is that they are inheritably honest by nature so they find themselves often on the short end of the stick when playing against deceitful competitors.  I too have the very same problem.  It took me a long time to work through this handicap, which I figured out in my teenage years.  I cannot be as deceitful as the typical politician and cannot change sides so quickly as others with less ethics have proven so capable of.  The Soros/Obama plan is to provoke that honesty prevalent in the Tea Party “into the forest” as they put it, so that they can regain control of the two-party system.  Locally we have seen traditional Republicans move away from the Tea Party for this very reason, because they are betting that the Tea Party will not survive, and they fear exposure.   This trend is so popular that even education reformers like Governor Kasich are quickly changing their tune.  He has formed an alliance with labor unions designed to earn his re-election and a run for President in 2016 by turning against the Tea Party ideas that he ran on.  Kasich may not philosophically agree with the labor unions, but he will side with them now so that he can advance to a political level where he can betray them at a future tribal council—(metaphorically speaking).

What is required if you are a Tea Party supporter is a change in strategy that “they” don’t anticipate.  As we move forward with fighting school levies, preserving the Constitution, and maintaining fiscal responsibility in government, it will require new alliances and a will to cut up the old ones into little pieces so that they cannot betray us in the future.  If a deceitful manner is not an option for the Tea Party, which I know before hand that it’s not, then it requires a toughness that the opposition does not have to beat them.

I have learned over the years that the willingness to be “tougher” than a rival can provide leverage over the more manipulative in the game of Survivor.  Opponents who play “politics” and believe they can outspend, outsmart, and outwit a competitor while sitting in the safety of their homes or their luxury cars are ALWAYS at a disadvantage to a rival who is not afraid to bleed, fight in the trenches and rip off the masks of those who desire to remain hidden behind them.  In this way it is possible to always gain the upper hand on a rival who desires to play Survivor from a level of comfort.

If I had been on the show Survivor all those years ago, I would have done well using my athleticism to win a majority of the immunity challenges, and I would have done well otherwise by created and dismissing the proper alliances at the proper time.  And the reason to this very day that I still do push-ups every day, and ride my motorcycle in the extreme cold, the snow, the rain, the intense lightning storms is to remind myself to never get comfortable, to always be ready to make an adjustment in alliances to one that is successful and will allow victory in the game of Survivor.  Typical politicians like Barack Obama, John Boehner, John Kasich and financiers like George Soros are playing the real game of Survivor with the standard “outwit, outplay and outlast” motto.  To win, all those elements are important and cannot bring victory to someone who doesn’t excel at all those traits.  However, I would add “toughness” to that motto.  The ability to be “tougher” than your opponents with all other things being equal proves that victory comes to the tougher player who plays as honestly as possible nearly 100% of the time.  “Toughness” beats all the billions of dollars that people like George Soros spends on politics nearly every single time in a head to head competition of wits.  That is the short answer to why I ride my motorcycle in the cold February months and leave the car in the garage 95% of the time.  “Toughness” is not something you can purchase; it has to be earned the old-fashioned way, and is the extra boost that any competitor can use to defeat their rivals with assurance.

If the Tea Party can maintain their sense of toughness while all these alliances change hands then it will be possible for a handful of tough-minded rebel rousers to dismantle all the billions that George Soros and his minions have spent to advance a global “progressive” society, and it can dismantle the two-party buddy system that is modern politics.  Weak minded competitors who can be purchased because of their love of comfort do not make good allies for the mentally tough anyway, so there is no loss when they abandon us in favor of George Soros type’s power and money.  In the end, honesty, toughness, and tenacity added to maintaining the ability to outwit, outplay, and outlast is a winning formula that will take the Tea Party into the real life finals in the game of Survivor.  The above formula will give the Tea Party a chance to do what many think is impossible—to save America from the advancement of global progressivism.  The real game of Survivor is not on TV but is being played out right here right now in this time and the winners will be those who play it best, and last to the bitter end.

As for me, since the time that I first made that video for the third season of Survivor and now I have survived many, many, many metaphorical tribal councils—enough to have won the TV game many times over.  Some of those real tribal councils have been every bit as vicious as what can be seen on that television show each week for over a decade now.  I anticipate that over the next decade I’ll survive even more that are every bit as ferocious.  There will many alliances that are broken, many tears that are spilled, and there may even be some blood—but in the end, it’s all about “outwitting, out playing and outlasting” competitors with my personal addition of playing with honesty, toughness, and tenacity.  I am confident that I’ll win far more immunity challenges than I’ll lose because at 6 AM in the morning through the pouring rain, the drifting snow, the black ice and extreme cold, I’m the only one on a motorcycle, which is why I do it.

The Passion of Alex Jones: What fighting for America looks like

CNN is clearly using Piers Morgan to show how radical the pro Second Amendment crowd is by first inviting on Ted Nugent with predictable results, then Alex Jones to bait them into animated gun totting diatribes designed to demonstrate how dangerous Americans with guns are. But it is backfiring.  The political left for years has had more than their fair share of radical nutcases expressing their viewpoints and now they are trying to paint radicals on the right as “nutcases” as if they were above the ludicrous diatribes.  America is showing that they are just as accepting—even willing to throw their support behind such animated personalities.  Alex Jones as a radio show is very popular, but as an entertainer—it is evident that Alex is 100% committed to what he believes and taken at face value, he appears to be a certifiable nutcase conspiracy theorist.  But the trouble with Alex is not that he may be certifiably insane, as people like Piers Morgan are attempting to frame in the court of public opinion.  Quite the opposite, Alex Jones is suffering from being “too awake,” he’s too aware of the world around him and the level of deception that human beings are capable of—a trait that most of society gladly shuts their minds off to.  When Alex Jones was asked to come onto the Piers Morgan Show to defend the Second Amendment, Jones exploded with the kind of dialogue that is becoming more and more common place all through the Midwest.  The direction of the conversation appears to have created anxiety on the CNN set.

Jones is popular because he speaks to the kind of Americans that know something is terribly wrong at the very top.  They realize that they have been lied to, they question all authority, and trust nobody in politics.  The Alex Jones listeners, who are quite numerous, have accepted that there is no authority on Earth that can be trusted, and they instead put their faith in self-reliance.  So it is not difficult for those types of people to question the reality and motivations of those in authority.  They may get the details wrong—but they do not get wrong the tendency of human beings to impose their will on other human beings as the ultimate ego boost that is incredibly prevalent in politics and the money that puts politicians in power.  That money often comes from political activist billionaires like George Soros and others like him who have an intense desire to shape the Earth into a vision of their own thinking, and they do not care if they impose their will on the individual rights of others who are not billionaires.  It is they who do wish to supplant the American Constitution with a document more “progressive” so that they can gain the ability to have control of more people.

Saying such a thing about billionaires is a fact.   It’s not a conspiracy theory at all.  Those types of personalities are ruthless by their nature, which is how they came to be billionaires in the first place—in most cases.  Many of these same types once they have become extremely wealthy try to redeem the sins of their past with what they consider the “greater good” as they see it.  But their good might be a tyranny to people like Alex Jones and his listeners, and guns are desired to be removed from society to impose the will of the billionaire’s version of good without fear of open revolution like Alex Jones threatened to Morgan during their interview.  Most of the patsies in the media are simply hired to represent the views of ownership, so the war is not with just the leftist political ideology of progressivism advocated by the President Obama’s, Elizabeth Warrens, Governor Chris Christies, Hillary Clintons, and the Piers Morgans, but the money behind the scenes shaped by people like Ted Turner, George Soros, and Warren Buffett.

When Jones talks about the Bilderburger Group, and all the intertwined groups that serve the political interests of the very wealthy, he is noticeably fearful of their motives—which indicate sinister strategies against mankind.  I believe that Jones was harassed while in New York City by thugs of the financially powerful who fully intend to destroy American sovereignty and rebuild it in their own image.  When Jones became out-of-control during the CNN interview, I have no doubt that executives at CNN were on the phone with worry over what their bosses would think of the Jones/Morgan exchange because it backfired obviously.  Jones did look like a crazy, maniacal, gun totting, lunatic—but he represents people like me, and millions of other gun supporters who reside in the core of America.  I have said myself that I am ready for a new American Civil War.  In fact, I expect it to become a reality in the very near future.  I’m not going to give up any of my rights for the “greater good” as George Soros or anybody else sees it.

The growing realization that eventually people like Alex Jones will have to come to, that will come with time, is that there is nothing to fear from all those conspiracy makers.  Once Jones and his fans realize that they have just as much power to inflict pain on the Bilderburgers or any armed gunmen who might try to harass them outside of the CNN building before an interview, they will discover that they always had the power—and that conspiracies of any kind are simply designed to move the minds of mankind in a particular direction, whether or not there is any truth to the conspiracy.  The idea of a conspiracy direct or indirect is designed to strike fear in the minds of the recipients.  However, once people realize that they are just as capable of inflicting the same kind of violence that the conspiracy perpetrators are, there really isn’t anything to fear from them.  There is no reason to fear the gun carrying thug, the politician and their security details, “hit squads,” or just public relations specialists—they are all only human.  If the quality of mind of one side is superior to the other with all other things being equal, then the strong mind will always prevail.  Guns make the physical nature of conflict equal leaving only the minds to prevail over others—which is why the powerful wish to remove guns from society—because their minds are not superior to everyone else.  Being more fiscally ruthless does not equate to a quality mind.  The only way the extreme billionaire redemption addict looking to suppress the sins of their youth with philanthropy, is to control society by taking away the physical ability of equality—because the mind of those billionaire activists is not superior to their opponents.  That is what the gun control argument is all about—power and control.  Once that is realized, there is nothing to fear.  The conspiracy generators are just pathetically simple people who use money to overcome their mental weaknesses in a quest for power and ruthlessness that made them billionaires in the first place.

Alex Jones is not crazy, and neither is Ted Nugent.  They are passionate, and utter their anger that the world is not the honest one that they thought it was.  In that regard their ideas about the world has been shattered.  They wanted to believe that people on the other side of the political aisle were good—and they are outraged to find out that they aren’t.  And they fear losing that equality measure of their political enemies having guns and them not having equal weapons because they desire to be law bidding citizens.  Their political enemies are dirty and won’t follow any laws anyway, so the good people who follow Alex Jones will always be at a disadvantage to the radical extremists on the political left.  Their anger isn’t insanity, its fear at losing their equal footing with those who wish to control their lives–so the emotions do get out-of-hand.  If so many people weren’t asleep, they’d be angry too!  However, Alex Jones would sleep better at night if he realized that the reason behind his conspiracy theories of ultimate control of the human population are because our enemies have insufficient intellects that cannot deal squarely with the minds of those they wish to suppress.  They are not superior, and cannot control our society unless we surrender our ground and guns to them.  Now that the chips are on the table, the other side has been exposed, and their argument will fade off into eventual oblivion like clouds on a hot August day evaporating before our eyes.   There is nothing to fear from those people, because their actions are based on poor intellects and an abysmal understanding of reality which is a tendency that means they should fear us a lot more than we have need to fear them.

Alex Jones in that regard is not crazy, he’s simply passionate, and that makes him a good, healthy American doing his job.

David P. Little Protests at Boehner’s Office: Lap dog reporters get their bellies scratched

I always imagined that activist David P. Little from Progress Ohio who came after me personally a couple of years ago, looked a lot like Jeffery Stec who is currently parading all over the Lakota School District with Karen Mantia attempting to cushion the blow of their next tax increase attempt using their “Community Conversations” campaign.  Jeffery is a younger guy who worked on the streetcar issue in downtown Cincinnati—one of those progressive utopian projects designed by Agenda 21 to be a people mover once high taxes and excessive regulation nudge people back into the cities where authorities can have more control over populations and their behavior.  No, David P. Little is not what I imagined once I saw recent pictures of him.  2 years ago Darryl Parks and I exposed the progressive activist on 700 WLW after Little directly attacked my character calling me a “wealthy businessman” (sound familiar) among other things for my opposition to the Lakota School Levy.  CLICK HERE TO REVIEW THAT EPISODE.

The videos below are from Progress Ohio so it can be seen what kind of people are involved in that organization.

After the incident I communicated with Little through email, as I was just a bit enraged over the incident.  Up to that point I hadn’t yet become the target of leftist progressive radicals, so they really didn’t know what to make of me in a conflict.  I didn’t imagine that Little was just another “flower child” from the sun-baked 60’s generation, which is what he has turned out to be.  (CLICK HERE TO SEE HIM.)  I thought he was a young guy like Stec trying to make a name for himself with progressive politics.  In that story, Little representing Progress Ohio did a “hit” piece on me that Michael Clark from the Cincinnati Enquirer tipped me off to, and I was thankful that he did.  Back then, Clark and I got along fine, and fairly and he gave me the heads up to what Little was doing against me.  Sadly, just a few years later when a similar “hit” piece was being assembled against me after the third levy defeat, Clark played the other side of the fence as many people warned me he would, so it wasn’t a big surprise, just a disappointment in such predictable human behavior.    CLICK HERE TO REVIEW.  However over the David Little incident, Clark came through which allowed me to answer the story right out of the gate.

Well, David Little has been back in West Chester politics as he was recently heading up a protest outside of John Boehner’s office urging the Speaker of the House to cut the industrial military complex that is “nation building” throughout the world in lieu of the upcoming “fiscal cliff.”  Little at the protest argued that there would be more money for things like education, and public employees if the military industry in America were diminished to nothing and all the evil contractors would perish into joblessness.  Here is the link to the Pulse Journal article from the reporter covering the story.

http://www.pulsejournal.com/news/news/group-rallies-outside-boehners-local-office/nTPZ3/

I don’t blame the Pulse Journal for not doing proper research into who David Little was.  When Little came after me way back then that particular reporter was probably drawing in coloring books in grade school, as the reporter turn-over rate at the Pulse Journal is excessively high, and their editorial staff has been looking for lapdogs to act as public relations spokesman for Lakota and other community advocate groups.  So the young reporter wouldn’t know the history of Little and his involvement in Lakota, or myself over the years.

Back when I first encountered Little I only argued that costs needed to be brought down in public education.  Since then I have learned what groups like Progess Ohio and public education really have in mind for America, and I have been very vocal about it, which is why many of the reporters who used to speak to me on a regular basis no longer do, because everyone’s comfort level has been smashed when dealing with the actual facts of these stories.   The Pulse Journal as a paper would never reveal how radical Progress Ohio is or their progressive philosophy of undermining The United States with mush minded ideas and pixy dust politics.  But I have went on record calling Little and the groups he fronts for what I think of them, which of course leads to tension—which is my right to do since it was they who drew blood first.

It was cute to see 15 miscreants show up at Boehner’s office with David Little as the spokesman and argue for the dismantling of the military complex in America to pay for a debt that progressive politicians have intentionally driven up to cause the current financial crises in the first place.  The debt is being driven by the old Cloward and Piven strategy of economic collapse to force “change” which is what this whole fiscal cliff idea really comes down to.  The economic perils are part of an attack offensive driven by progressive politics and it is good to see that David Little is at the forefront of the movement.

It is sad that The Enquirer and the Pulse Journal did not report the activity of David Little for what it was, but subtly attempted to pile on the opposition against Boehner as the fiscal cliff nears with the opinion of a fossilized flower child and his progressive philosophy of destruction.   But in these days of social media and changing roles, it is the citizen journalists who are tasked with the traditional roles of watchdog observation, as the current crop of reporters are in league with the masters of destruction implementing a plot of terror that is quietly lethal all because such positions are convenient.

Zombies in Politics: Stories of voter fraud and Black Friday Madness

On Halloween Doc Thompson did a radio program committed to demonstrating how the dead walk among us that foretold in an eerie way the election results that would eventually favor Barack Obama just a week later.   Dead people miraculously have emerged from their tombs and voted on Election Day!  Listen to Doc Thompson present his case on 1270 AM in Detroit of how the dead walk among us and voted for Democrats.

But the dead aren’t just showing up to vote in elections, they are also functioning in full form on events like Black Friday where labor unions attempted an insurrection among the employees of Wal-Mart in a hostile employee socialist take-over of that large company while participants gathered early on Thanksgiving to be the first to snag up door buster prizes designed to jump-start economic behavior for the Holiday Season.  This lead to some ridicule and in isolated cases violence on Black Friday that was captured very well by this apocalyptic chastising by Mark Dice as he called the people in line at Best Buy members of the zombie apocalypse as they rushed mindlessly to be the first to buy consumer goods at better than bargain prices.

I found myself torn while watching Dice do his work.  I support vibrant economic activity but I have to admire Dice’s ability to call things out as he sees them, as he did a fabulous job of showing how paralyzed the masses are when they are told to their face what mindless followers they are.    What Doc and Dice are pointing out are the evils of collectivism in many different forms that have very negative aspects on daily life in America.  A zombie is looked down upon because they become non-thinking entities that are easily used as pawns in the many political games that have polarized modern life all over the world and the cause is in the sheer fact that while we all share equal rights to vote and participate in a republic oriented democracy we are not all equal in the efforts we place into thinking, which is the backbone of any society.

A society of non-thinking fools look for a leader to tell them where to stand, what to eat, what kind of education is important to them, what they can do on their properties, because they are too lazy to challenge the status quo.   Just the same, the people in the Best Buy line that were yelled at by Mark Dice had  mindlessly showed up to be a part of the non-thinking masses who had gathered like herds of cattle to be slaughtered by their own ignorance as part of a consumer culture using non-thinking as their primary driver.  They were so lazy that they didn’t even feel motivated to yell back at Dice to defend themselves—rather the surrendered their efforts to collectivism, the same as the cops in the video.  They are all part of a system and they didn’t question their placement in that system which makes them mindless zombies.

Collectivism is a determent to American life no matter what political affiliation the zombies of non-thinking are participating in.  It doesn’t matter if the act of evil is consumer based such as in the Best Buy example on Black Friday, or if crooked poll workers are inserting dead voter ballots into the system to skew results in favor of their candidate.  It is the mindless participation into a system that defies the purity of individual authenticity that demands such people be referred to as zombies who walk among us.  They have all the same rights—yet they are much more dangerous because their actions do not come from their minds, but from the strings that pull them along through life which leaves society open to dialogues of further corruption and debauchery.  The evil committed is non-thinking as it leads to an erosion of social quality that is indisputable and lowers the standards for all of mankind when the perpetrators believed from the start that they were good in doing what was expected of them without question.  People who think in these terms are simply zombies bringing about on Earth the apocalypse of New Testament legend.

‘Dark Knight Rises’ makes $1 Billion at the Box Office: Cass Sunstein quits The White House

Dark Knight Rises joined the billionaires club of films during the first week of September 2012. I knew when I saw the latest Batman film that I was seeing something special, but to understand how important it was for Dark Knight Rises to cross that elusive threshold only 12 other films in movie history has achieved, perspective is required. CLICK HERE FOR MY REVIEW.

Dark Knight Rises just opened in China and Italy which should be noted are communist and socialist countries, and as stated in my review, Christopher Nolan’s version of Batman is extremely pro-capitalist. I consider Dark Knight Rises to be a novel in film form that is almost as powerful as the work of Ayn Rand. So for China to even let a pro-capitalist oriented film be released in their country is a good sign of things to come, but especially this particular film, it is quite shocking to see that Dark Knight Rises made $31 million during it’s opening week. In Italy which is the size of most American states, the film earned $9.1 million. It was these numbers that pushed Dark Knight Rises up over the $1 billion dollar mark which is quite extraordinary considering the shooting incident in Aurora could have nudged Warner Brothers into a politically correct over-reaction tempting them to pull the film from theaters out of respect for the victims, for a later release date. The shooting did affect the opening box office numbers of Dark Knight Rises, and American audiences could have rejected the film because of the negative press surrounding the tragedy.

Speaking of nudging, in Cass Sunstein’s book Nudge, he addressed how government types can manipulate population patterns with suggestive influence and regulation. It is because of people like Sunstein who worked for the Obama White House as a regulation tsar that people like me think the Dark Knight Rises shooting in Aurora, Colorado was a “false flag” operation. For more on Sunstein and his book about using the power of government to “NUDGE” society into desired behavior patterns created by the political class read this New York Times article:

http://www.nytimes.com/2012/08/04/science/earth/cass-sunstein-to-leave-top-regulatory-post.html

James Holmes shot up a theater dressed like “The Joker” at a midnight showing of the new Batman film on July 20th 2012 and miraculously seemed to have no background the press could dig into. Within weeks the story disappeared from the news cycle, even though it was a tremendous and sensational story. Oddly enough, just two weeks later, Cass Sunstein decided to leave his dream job with The White House leaving a lot of scratching heads in his wake. Rena Steinzor, president of the Center for Progressive Reform and professor at the University of Maryland said of Sunstein upon the announcement, “Cass Sunstein is the most well-connected and smartest guy who’s ever held the job, But he’s also done untold damage.” Isn’t that very interesting?

Progressives desire with all their hearts and souls to ban all firearms from society, and I do think many of them are crazy enough to hatch a “false flag” operation, in conjunction with the American CIA and FBI. Holmes disappeared off the radar very fast and what is known of his past leads to the conclusion of a “false flag” operation. CLICK HERE FOR MY SPECULATIVE THEORY. One can only hypothesize as to whether or not Cass Sunstein would directly or indirectly attempt to “nudge” society into gun control with another tragedy similar to the Columbine Shooting during the opening of a very “capitalist” oriented film that was slated to release worldwide even in countries under the direct governance of Socialist International. What we do know is that just after the shooting in Aurora, Cass Sunstein left his job and the lid around James Holmes and his background was sealed tight, almost as tight as the circumstances around the Timothy McVeigh bombing at Oklahoma City. If someone were to read Sunstein’s book and consider what he was willing to admit to in its publication, then it can only be wondered what possibilities exist in secret meetings with experts in human manipulation and social tampering, which was part of Sunstein’s job as regulation tsar.

But it didn’t matter; because Americans went on to see Dark Knight Rises anyway. They put their fears away and went to the theaters to see the second most popular film of 2012 behind only The Avengers. Any fantasies social reformers had in the depths of their government manipulation attempts evaporated as millions upon millions of movie fans went on to the theater to see Dark Knight Rises. The film went on to make over $434 million domestically. In the international market Dark Knight Rises garnered an additional $577 million so if the Colorado Shooting was a “false flag” operation, it failed. And to the betterment of American life, Cass Sunstein is no longer the regulation tsar working directly for a very socially intrusive White House.

I might not think anything about Cass Sunstein leaving his job so quickly after the Batman shooting if I did not watch public school employees doing the same kind of thing locally when they get into trouble over some issue. It seems to be the M.O. of all government employees to simply transfer around from job to job to avoid investigations into their crimes. School principals, teachers, and superintendents do it all the time, so why wouldn’t Cass Sunstein? They are all the same type of person, meddling government types who seek to socially alter human behavior with the desires of the political ruling class.

Americans and world-wide citizens pushed politics aside, along with their fears of being shot and went to see Dark Knight Rises regardless of everything that was against it. And America was able to export a film with a pro-American message to socialist and communist countries planting the seeds of freedom in those oppressive countries. Only American culture can produce characters like Batman which is adored by people all over the world as is in evidence by the type of film Dark Knight Rises is. It’s about freedom, not the manipulative controls by people like Cass Sunstein and Barack Obama.

It gives me great joy to see that Dark Knight Rises hit the billion dollar mark because it is about more than money. The last film that hit that number besides The Avengers, which is ultimately also about freedom, and is about characters only produced by the mind of Americans, was Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. CLICK HERE FOR A REVIEW OF THAT ARTICLE. What all these movies have in common is the characters push back when they are “nudged” within the plotlines of their respective stories. And following the antics of their heroes on the silver screen, audiences are now pushing back with the dollars they spend at the box office. They are not allowing themselves to be “nudged” with fear into staying home and avoiding a movie because of the “violence” it inspired. This time, unlike times in the past fans have reacted by buying more guns, getting their concealed carry permits, and have put their money where their mouth is and given to Dark Knight Rises an honored position in the billionaires club of all time box office results. And the members of the progressive community who hoped that Dark Knight Rises would fall on its box-office face so more “progressive” films would have a better world-wide audience had to watch with their faces buried in their hands in disgrace.

Bandit Run 2012: The future of ‘Tail of the Dragon’

One of the reasons I wrote the Tail of the Dragon was because I wanted to read it. When I was a kid, I loved the movies Smokey and the Bandit and Hooper and have been waiting for three decades for film makers and authors to write an updated version of those classic stories—but I’m still waiting. I’m not alone in this. To this day millions of movie fans still adore those films and some even go to the measure of doing the Bandit Run in their restored Trans Am’s from Texarkana, Texas to Atlanta, Georgia duplicating the car chase from that 1977 Burt Reynolds film. This year a group of car restoration enthusiasts just completed their annual 2012 Bandit Run which began in 2007 to touch the magic of those classic films and relive the enduring memory they have in American film culture.

I happen to have one of those old Firebirds from 1977 in my garage and it’s a family treasure. It is that car and the memory of those great films that provoked me to stop waiting for someone else to write a modern, Smokey and the Bandit story. I think its wonderful that there are still enough fans of the old films, and there are still a few of those old Firebird Trans Am’s around that allow events like the Bandit Run’s to take place, but I couldn’t help but think that young people today need an updated story—a new story that speaks to their age and the concerns of their times. For sentimental reasons, I wanted the star of the story to be one of those old Firebirds so that in the future there would be old car restorers years down the road who would want to organize a Tail of the Dragon run because the story I wrote inspired them to do such a thing.

I picked the Tail of the Dragon road on US 129 in Tennessee because I think it has the makings of being the kind of nostalgic road to the American psyche that Route 66 was. The Tail of the Dragon is a very unique road that features 318 switch back curves in an 11 mile stretch that forms the western border of the Great Smoky Mountains. Exotic cars and motorcycles from all over the world come to this section of road to exercise the suspensions of their beloved automobiles. Below is a video of a Ferrari that came to the motorcycle resort at the corner of the Moonshiner 28 and The Tail of the Dragon to make a nice run on the switch back curves. The camera work will show how curvy this road is. The video only shows a fraction of the road, but it supplies a wonderful perspective of the dramatic scenery surrounding the Tail of the Dragon.

The shack shown across from the motorcycle resort is now a full-sized store with a wonderful outlook built into the hillside. You can see more about that new store here, where Tail of the Dragon merchandise can be purchased. (CLICK TO VISIT) The scenery changed a little since that video was shot, but for the most part, nothing else has. It’s one of the most unusual sections of road in the world.

Police have made a habit of patrolling that thoroughfare to pick up speeders knowing that people are going to that section to push the limits of their vehicles. For instance, in our family minivan when I went recently to visit Darryl Cannon (AKA Killboy) I spent much of the time while on the Dragon at 37 MPH with the tires screeching constantly. That gives an idea how many curves there are, when 37 MPH is considered fast. In really nice exotic cars like Lamborghini, and the Ferrari shown above, speeds of 40 to 50 MPH could be achieved without too much trouble. But the nature of the road is a challenge for both car and driver alike. Brake timing is crucial because moving your foot from the accelerator to the brake is an ongoing battle. When I found Killboy parked on the side of the Dragon photographing riders as they passed by, I could smell my brakes from such aggressive driving. Our minivan wasn’t designed for that kind of run, but it was still fun.

I arrived to see Killboy right after he shot the video below. Every weekend he sits on the side of the road and photographs everything that goes by. He offers his photos on his site www.KILLBOY.com .  Riders can purchase professional grade photos of themselves driving by, and yes–business is good. Thousands of riders pass by him every weekend and he photographs them all. He is the original photographer of the Tail of the Dragon, so when I decided to write a book about the area, I had to make sure that he was one of the characters. His photography is highly sought after by automotive and motorcycle magazines across the country as he has samples on his site of some of his work. His brand of photography is kind of like fishing. He sits on the corners of the Dragon and shoots his camera at everything that goes by, and every now and then he captures something really spectacular—just like fishing. A story about the Tail of the Dragon just wouldn’t be the same without Killboy being a part of it.

Killboy is his video gamer tag name and over the years it just stuck. Now, it’s what he’s known by. In my novel Tail of the Dragon Killboy finds himself in a lot of trouble with the law in Blount County. He is the spark that starts a whole lot of chaos with just the simple bet of a hot dog. The officers of the law take serious offense to the activities Killboy was participating in with Rick Stevens—the novel’s hero–which ignites the greatest car chase ever.

When writing the novel it made sense that a car chase that would be bigger than Smokey and the Bandit, bigger than the ending of Hooper, bigger than anything ever done in books or films with much more speed than the popular NASCAR film Days of Thunder, or the insane car chase in the Blues Brothers where part of the chase ended up in a shopping mall–which is taken to much higher heights in Tail of the Dragon–the chase needed to start at this historic road of US 129. And it’s in the spirit of those great classics that the future of the Dragon will host similar runs that will bring great joy to thousands of people as they make the Dragon Run Car Chase part of an annual tradition. Such a run will take them from Deals Gap at the resort, down the Dragon, across the Foothills Parkway, into Townsend, Tennessee over to Pigeon Forge, Sevierville, then down I-40 into Ashville, North Carolina where the novel comes to an electrifying conclusion. At every stretch of that chase along those roads and towns are events that are as big as the climaxes in most movies. The chase is exhausting, but Dragon Run Car Chase Runners will make their journeys through those landmarks in much the way that the Bandit Runners have, and it will allow them to take in some of the most spectacular sites available in and around the Great Smoky Mountains.

For me it’s fun to take a break from politics, and finance to just enjoy the finer things in life. Most often, I enjoy works of fiction that on the surface are tension relieving and just plain fun. That is why Smokey and the Bandit is still a beloved movie that provokes so much emotion. And if I did my job correctly in writing Tail of the Dragon it will bring to a new generation that same kind of passion, which I hope it does. Because I want to be there when the first Tail of the Dragon Car Chase Run is made, which will be quite a sight. It’s the celebration of the fun things in life that often count most and give meaning to all the stuff in between.

“Tail of the Dragon’s” New Facebook Page: Following the book across the finish line

When I made the announcement the other day that I had just approved the cover design for my new novel Tail of the Dragon from my publisher, I thought the process was completed. So far my experience with American Publishing has been nothing but extremely good. While other publishers might have rushed through the various phases of the production process after accepting a manuscript, American Book took their time at every aspect of development. At times I wondered if that was the correct path, but my experience with the editors has been extremely good and everybody brought something to the table to really tighten up the story into the breakneck, concise narrative that it ended up in the final proof. But I really didn’t know what to expect from the cover until I received another proof after the acceptance of the first that revealed how the entire book would look, and how the cover art designer Jana Rade fantastically tied the two together with continuity unique in the world of book cover design. I was so excited upon seeing her final art proof that we created a Facebook fan page for the book to start satisfying the interest that is mounting prior to the final steps of delivering to the bookstores. I revealed that new site in the video below.

Jana with very little input from me came up with the design you can see up close in the accompanying picture. She managed to capture the folklore of the actual Tail of the Dragon, and articulate that this is not a fantasy story about dragons, but in fact a book that involves a car driving down a road that looks like a dragon’s tail. It’s simple enough to not be overbearing, yet all-encompassing in many metaphorical categories capturing the philosophy explored in Tail of the Dragon, and that is the philosophy of freedom. The lone car riding along on the tail of some maniacal beast disappearing off the page and emerging onto the back cover works on many levels, and I think is a world-class work of art that merges contemporary art with tradition in a wonderful way.

American Book has now moved into the production phase which involves sending galleys out to readers, and picking up reviews, as well as registering at all the distribution outlets, which is normal, and takes about 12 weeks. Although an official date has not been set yet, it looks right now to be right at the end of summer, which places it well before this year’s presidential election, which was a goal because the Tail of the Dragon among many sub plots is about running for President of the United States. So we certainly wanted to get it out by-election season.

So we’re getting closer, which is why we now have a Facebook page. So stop by and “LIKE” the page, “Friend” us there, and “PASS” the site along to your friends in your network and help us get the word out. Seeing how the cover captured so wonderfully the events of the book in such a dramatic, yet subtle way, my excitement for bringing this very exciting story to the public is greater than ever. The more people I can share it with, the better, because the message behind Tail of the Dragon is one that has meaning to each and every person living. The more people who have the opportunity to share in it, the more of an opportunity for someone to enjoy a unique novel that offers a fresh perspective on an age-old problem—what is the meaning of freedom, and what should we do as a society to maintain it. These are the intense questions that are dealt with in Tail of the Dragon and are nothing short than the life or death message for America’s future and the state of the entire world. So come with me on a journey that could change your life and that journey for you can begin over at the new Facebook page. Click here to visit. http://www.facebook.com/tailofthedragonbook

Home Schooling Under Attack: Government schools are for lazy parents

I certainly understand the tendency for parents to believe that they must send their children to public school in order to be a good parent. After all, our current culture has instructed us through those same government schools that going to a publicly run school is important to our lives. So I support my local public school grudgingly even though I believe that home schooling is far superior to public school. My kids went to public school. They attended Mason for the first half of the school lives, and then they graduated from Lakota. But for one year in between those transfers they were home schooled by my wife, and I think that was the most important year of their lives. It was hard at the time, and the choice was difficult. The decision to pull our kids out of school came from a battle over sex education in the fourth grade that we disagreed with. The school retaliated at our lack of “consensus.” My wife had been a room mom and helped the teachers three times a week and loved it. She dedicated enormous amounts of her time to not just my kids, but my kid’s classmates, which is how it is supposed to be.

But the school could not tolerate our family’s position against the sex education policies as they feared more parents might follow our rebellion, so they went after us in an aggressive way as a family, which was a really bad idea on their behalf. The school let my wife know that she was no longer welcome to be a room mom and my kids became targeted by bullies as soon as my wife was no longer in the building. That decision by the school led to unnecessary violence and a lot of hurt people climaxing in a fight between me and 22 teenage boys in front yard of our house.

The boys were encouraged by teachers in the school to pick on my kids and the police took the side of the teachers because of the union “brotherhood” which led to the massive fight. The boys made it so my kids could not ride their bikes on the sidewalk in front of our home, openly challenging us to a confrontation. And I was not going to allow my children to be bullied by a bunch of rough-looking 10th, 11th and 12th grade Mason students. It is now a family joke that when the movie Gran Torino came out a few years ago, it was that last role by Clint Eastwood that reminded them of life in our house during that time, because I was at war with the entire neighborhood. Instead of being an old man at the end of my life like Eastwood was in that film, I was a young thirty something that seemed oddly misplaced among others in my age group who preferred to just keep the window curtains pulled and do what the thugs told them to. Instead I dug down and was in constant confrontation everyone which can be most closely explained in the clips below, which is why this film is a personal family joke.

The fight was unexpected. The calculation was that like every other family we would stay inside our locked up house and hide from the scary teenage boys. They didn’t think I would go outside and confront the mob with my bullwhips and fight them squarely because many of them were under aged, only a few were over 18. But that’s what I did and it caused quite a ruckus that lasted for an entire year and involved the police force of Mason all the way up to the chief of police. But this whole mess started in our kid’s elementary school and I finally convinced my wife that the best way to teach our kids was to home school them, so we pulled them out of school, and that caused our entire family to turn on us. So not only did the community turn on us but our family did as well. In that year we learned that there wasn’t anyone we could trust but ourselves. And that was the year that my kids learned more than any other, and most notably shaped them into the adults they now are. During that trying time I heard every one of the points that Glenn Beck discussed here from his GBTV episode on home schooling. He is 100% right! My family has been there and done it and can testify completely to what he is saying.

Now in hindsight, with my kids both grown and living their lives I can say honestly that I wish we had done home schooling for more than a year. Both of my kids finished their high schools with online courses and nearly two years early, because they wanted to travel and see the world, which is what they did. When their peers in school were graduating high school and getting their diplomas my kids were touring the London Museum of History and taking pictures of Big Ben. They followed the path of their mother who also left school early after her credits were finished. By the time my wife’s graduating class was putting on their robes to graduate she was married to me and we were on a cross-country trip traveling anywhere fast at over 100 MPH. Out of my core family I’m the only one who actually walked the stage in a robe with my friend Hickory who I’ve stated here sold his Honors Society Robe to a fellow student for a hundred bucks. CLICK HERE to review. My wife and I have lived very full lives and the whole graduation experience seems petty and stupid to us compared to other things we’ve done, and we would have done our kids a better service if we had home schooled them earlier and for more years.

I always viewed public education as education propaganda. It started for me in kindergarten. My teacher was an idiot and I remember thinking that at the time. My mom was always very active in my life and she like my wife was a room mom who took care of not just me, but my class mates. I remember watching lots of movies with my mom and know for a fact that I learned more from watching movies and documentaries with her and spending time around my grandparents than anything I learned in school.

Public school always felt like a waste of time. I spent most of my time getting into trouble with the teachers, getting into fights with other students, or drawing on my papers and writing stories. The art teachers and English teachers tried to capture my talent and steer me and I shut them all out. If I had listened to those teachers it’s quite likely I would be working for a newspaper somewhere as a reporter making a fraction of what I make now, and I wouldn’t be about to release my second novel. That’s not a knock against my reporter friends who read here every day, but they know it’s the truth. Advice is only as good as the person who gives it, and I wanted no advice from a teacher who worked for public education because I saw no value in their job. I felt that way as a child and I feel more strongly than ever as an adult. To me teachers were mind numb soldiers for something I wanted nothing to do with. I did not want them to impose on me the limits of their thinking.

When my kids were 5 and it came time for enrollment my mother was especially concerned when she heard my wife and me arguing about getting my oldest daughter ready for school. My wife enjoyed school until she met me, and saw nothing wrong with it. For her it was a bench mark, a natural progression to adulthood. For me it was like sending my kids to a death camp of propaganda. There was never a question that I was always radically independent compared to others around me, so I bent on my position because my entire family thought I was the one who was wrong. Of course as it turned out, I was the only one who was right. But you live and learn.

I told my daughter before she got on the school bus for the first time not to worry, that I’d deprogram her when she got home. Of course at age 5 my wife thought my daughter wouldn’t remember me saying that but at age 22 she still does, and luckily she listened to what I said. Now after all those years of raising our kids and seeing all the problems up close I was excessively right at age 25 about the intention of public education. The goal is not to make the best and brightest. It is to make kids average. Home schooled kids do better even with parents teaching them because those parents care about making their kids exceptional, and setting the bar high makes the children respond accordingly. That’s what’s missing in public education, it’s the expectation level.

Home schooling as an option is good because it brings competitive forces to public education and forces them to adjust their costs. Teachers are not worth 50K to 60K per year when they produce such complacent results next to the home schooled child taught by a parent with maybe only a high school education or college at best. Having home schooling as an option helps break up the monopoly of public education which is the intention of the government-run schools, it always has been. I knew it when I was a kid, even if I didn’t know why. I knew it when I was raising my own kids. And I know it now. My kids have had much improved lives because most of their socializing occurred outside of public education. They have done more in their first 25 years than most of their classmates will do in their first 50 and that’s a real shame. Social limits in life are started in public education. The chains are placed upon a child’s mind in government-run schools and I am even surer of it now than I was when I was younger. When I was a young man, I only had a feeling about it. Now I have facts.

There hasn’t been one day that my wife has woke up and wished she went to her graduation ceremony. She doesn’t ever feel like she missed something, because the activities we were doing were much larger in scope of experience. But many of the family that ridiculed us for home schooling our kids used those experiences in public education as bench marks of social development, getting a class ring, a jacket, and a cap and gown. It turned out that those family members were still stuck in some perpetual 15-year-old mentality and even at age 40 and 50 years old looked fondly back to their high school days with yearning. And I think that’s pathetic.

I outgrew public education within two weeks of starting kindergarten. My wife outgrew it at age 17. My kids did by second grade. The rest of the way they learned most of their information from me and their mom at home. They whizzed through school and were routinely on the honor role every single year, because it was easy for them, because I set the bar high at home. Public education is simply a bad product. It’s a failed social experiment and needs complete reform. It certainly doesn’t need additional funding. It needs less, and it needs competition to keep it honest, and all the unions should be made illegal. Unions have no place in public education.

So use public education if you want. Have your kids play the sports and socialize with the other kids. But in my opinion if you rely on public education to teach your kids exclusively, you are a lazy parent and a fool. You are surrendering your child’s life to an institution that will mentally confine the thoughts of your child to a life of social slavery and mundane misery. If you really want your child to learn and to be a good person, then you’ll home school them and you’ll do it as soon as humanly possible. In my eyes, it’s your obligation as a parent. And those who don’t at least try it I have no respect for.
