Intentions of a Lakota School Board: A blood thirsty attack driving a “head shot”

I kept a lot of this quiet until after the election.  I’ve spoken about the results often, and the actions on behalf of Lakota, but I have purposely left out a portion of the story….until now.  This is Part II of a short two-part series.  CLICK HERE to review Part One.   After the election of 2011 No Lakota Levy had defeated the school at the ballot box, and there was persistent discussion that Lakota would become just like Little Miami and continue putting up election after election until they won.  But I had told our group at No Lakota Levy that if Lakota chose to do that, they were truly after results that had nothing to do with rationality—and we would deal with them on that basis.  I also told them that if Lakota tried for a fourth attempt in 2012, that they’d have to find someone else to be the spokesman, because I had a book coming out called Tail of the Dragon which had nothing to do with education and I didn’t want to fight a school levy while promoting the book.

As recently as the last school board meeting of 2011 Linda O’Conner reached out to my wife and me in the parking lot of the administration building off Princeton Road to wish us a Merry Christmas and to let us know that there were no hard feelings.  I told her that I left the meeting early because they were boring me to death—but that it was a Christmas present of sorts, I was going to spare them having to listen to me speak publicly.  I didn’t want to rub their nose in the No Lakota victory, but I did expect them to listen to what over 18,000 voters had said—and at least propose a salary reduction to the teacher’s union for the sake of the community.  She smiled and said that she’d present it to the board, and we parted for the last time on civil terms.  Because immediately after that, in the winter of 2012, Superintendent Mantia showed that she was going to play the radical progressive, just like President Obama, and cut away all the aspects of the public school that people actually valued—not out of fiscal concern, but with the intention of extortion.  In the coming months, Lakota did nothing upon the recommendations proposed by No Lakota Levy—the victor in the last election by a sizable majority—much greater than in the last election where Lakota won by less than 1%.

This presented a problem for me.  700 WLW approached me about being the education pundit, sort of what Mike Allen is currently regarding legal issues.  The popular radio station wanted me to be The Big One’s education specialists.  This sounded good, but at the time my publisher was having multiple fits about my controversial stance against public education.  My novel, Tail of the Dragon was set to be released during the fall of that year and all the media contacts I had from years of building relationships suddenly saw me as the face of the anti tax movement in Lakota.

I offered myself as the face because I’m in a unique position to carry the title.  To me it was a job that needed to be done, and nobody else wanted to do it, and the controversy actually helped some of my side projects so I took on that role from 2009 to 2012.  However, I needed separation from that role prior to the release of my novel because I was too known as an education reformer, and my book was about a car chase which was intended to appeal to a NASCAR audience.  Lakota, was proposing another levy attempt right in the middle of my book’s release—and that wasn’t going to work for me.

So I had to get No Lakota Levy self sufficient—where it could act without me, I had to separate myself from the education stuff, and I needed to strike at the heart of the tax levy push and show people what was really going on at Lakota—and stop dancing around the edge of the bowl.  It was time to jump into the middle and show what was hidden there.  When I talk about this period being a trap set by me for the Lakota school board to jump at, this is what I meant.  Once Doc Thompson was fired at 700 WLW there was awkwardness that persisted in the wake of his departure.  WLW had thrown him under the bus while he was on his honeymoon so they could make good with Eddie Fingers and I couldn’t remain a friend to Doc and resume my relationship with WLW—so a lot of things were lining up in a bad way.  This is the primary reason I didn’t do the requested interview that Russ Jackson tried to set up with Eddie, Tracy and me on March 15th, I felt it was because of Eddie that Doc lost his job, and I couldn’t betray Doc. This made Jackson mad, and things degenerated from there.

In early January 2012 I knew I had to break things loose the best way possible.  I began turning up the rhetoric against Lakota letting my true feelings about them be known because they were obviously going for another tax increase in spite of the election results—and it pissed me off in a big way.  When I learned that the Community Foundation refused to work with No Lakota Levy after I set up a deal with The Enquirer to give them a story exclusive on a check-mate story, it enraged me because not only was the donation of money that No Lakota Levy was proposing to kids who couldn’t afford the sports fees a good thing to do, but it was strategically powerful forcing Lakota to reveal what they were really about as an organization.  When the Community Foundation backed out, No Lakota Levy had to start their own charity group called Yes To Lakota Kids which delayed our announcement by several key weeks.  I had been targeting the middle of February and was working with Michael Clark to get the story out, but when the Community Foundation pulled out of the deal—which they had been entertaining up to that point, it sucked the life out of the story, which seemed all too coordinated.

After the election instead of working with No Lakota Levy, Lakota went on the offensive, members of the union began going around town attempting to dismantle my name and it was around the middle of February when learned about it.  Doc Thompson had also just been fired from 700 WLW which left me in a strange place with them.  And my publisher was very concerned about my political beliefs and questioning whether I would be dragged into another levy fight right in the middle of the novel’s release.  So I wrote my article about the Latte sipping prostitutes.  I wanted to empower No Lakota Levy to proceed without me while I released my novel, and I wanted to see what Lakota would do with it and see how things progressed.  Even though I spoke about “women” in general my comments were directed at a few major tax advocates and they knew who they were.  I knew things about their home life, and pointed my comments in that direction.  After all, if they were going to smear my name, I had the right to do the same to them.  They were the primaries behind the mudslinging instead of taking the olive branch that Linda proposed at Christmas time.  They chose that course of action.

This led to the events discussed in Part One.  CLICK HERE TO REVIEW.  What I put up on my articles I certainly stood behind, otherwise I wouldn’t have written them.  I wanted Lakota to take a shot at me in a literal way so I could flush out the architects that were smearing me behind the scenes and I needed the names of the perpetrators.  Julie Shafer who debated me on 700 WLW wanted to be the hero of the school board and eliminate the biggest resistance to the board’s tax increases.  She worked with Superintendent Mantia to eliminate me from the scene.  They didn’t know the things I just revealed about my novel, or my desire to see No Lakota Levy develop a new spokesman freeing me of the job, at least for the fourth levy attempt.  This is the first time I’ve discussed these things publically—so they wouldn’t have known.  They instead used my statements in the worst way possible.  They knew who I meant specifically, yet chose to use the collective tendency of women to rally their base—another progressive trick, and they hit as hard as the possibly could.

Their actions were of the type that I intellectually anticipated they’d take.  The same thing basically happened to Arnie Engle over in Fairfield, the levy supporters kept poking and poking and poking until Arnie snapped, and then they prosecuted him to the furthest extent of the law.  The courts forced Arnie into probation and anger management classes to “deal” with his temper.  As soon as they thought they had Arnie out-of-the-way, Fairfield tried for another school levy, which thankfully in 2013, lost.  The public knows the games that are going on.  However, conceiving such a ploy and feeling the wrath of it are different things, and it did surprise me how ruthless Lakota’s levy supporters truly were as human beings.  What they did and how they did it showed me that they didn’t care what the results were to me personally, they simply wanted me out of their way politically.  If I were the kind of person who had a traditional job, what do they think would have happened to me if I worked for a woman who day when every radio station in town was calling me a sexist, even the FM stations–literally?  What about the effect on my wife and daughters or my mother—sister and other family members?  What Lakota through their school board orchestrated, coming directly from Julie Shafer and Karen Mantia was the kind of thing that could have ended careers, marriages, or even residence.  Several women from Julie’s circle of friends wrote me directly and actually stated that they were going to run me out-of-town, the fires of fury coming directly from the Lakota school board.  And they felt entitled to do it—that is what my thousands of dollars spent every year on the stupid Lakota school system buys me—those kinds of people representing that kind of institution.

When I say it was a trap, I suspected it would happen in the way that it did and I had braced myself for it.  I knew that Michael Clark was playing both sides against each other, and that he was telling the school board that Rich Hoffman had big plans against Lakota, referring to the exclusive story about Yes to Lakota Kids.  This looked to have a lot to do with why the Community Foundation backed out in the middle of the announcement postponing the endeavor.  And I knew that Julie, Mantia, and Powell would look for ways to come after me, and instead of them doing it in the shadows, I wanted to get it out in the daylight for all to see.  They bit, and showed what they were all about, and people noticed. Shortly after the debacle of March 15th Lakota through my friends at No Lakota Levy asked for a cease-fire because things had not gone as they planned.  I had rallied the anger vote and they knew there was no chance of passing a levy in 2012.  In June of 2012 I did an interview with Channel 19 saying that I agreed with the school board’s decision to not pursue a tax increase.  I told Cory Stark that the deal was for two years and that we’d be ready to fight again in 2013/2014.  Lakota had projected surpluses so it wasn’t worth the public relations nightmare, and they needed time to lick their wounds.  This suited me just fine because I was sick of Lakota and their constant attempts to raise taxes, and it allowed me to put my efforts behind the release of my book—just in time.  Just prior to the Fox 19 report, I had approved the cover for my novel ahead of a release date of September, the first Tuesday after Labor Day.

However, when the novel came out, I was still known by everyone in the media as the anti-education guy—and it was hard to shake that off.  Most likely, I will always be known as that—so my current thinking is that if it’s going to stick to me, then I’ll just make the best of it.  My book came out and for 8 months out of the last 12 stayed sold out on Amazon.com.  It did well as an initial offering and my family celebrated by going to Disney World over the summer.  I needed to get away from publishing and politics for just a few weeks—which I cherished.  But there have been complaints of late that Tail of the Dragon is not being carried at Amazon—it’s there, but out of print.  Well, beginning at the start of October 2013 American Book Publishing closed their doors as a publisher—so they are no longer restocking my novel at Amazon.  They were a small publisher and carried a lot of diverse titles, and a majority of them did not make much money.  The writing for this was already on the wall in the winter of 2012 along with all the other issues mentioned, and I was concerned that they’d stay open long enough to publish my book.  I think they hoped that things would turn around for them if a production house showed an interest in making my novel into a movie.  But after my anti-union comments on this blog, there was a fat chance of that happening which was the real source of their frustration with my political beliefs.  So they folded up, and I am searching for a new publisher to re-release Tail of the Dragon as a special edition.   For American Book Publishing I had a 120,000 word manuscript that was edited down to 63,000 words, so nearly half the book was cut away.  My current thoughts are to release a version of the book that was eliminated in the editing process specified by the PG rating that American Book desired.  The special edition will be a rated R version of that same story, which dives even deeper into the freedom loving antics of Rick Stevens—some much harder edge concepts.

So that is the behind the scenes story of me and the Lakota levy.  As a result of their approach to me and their desire to pretty much end my life with a ruthlessness that is unforgivable they have made a mortal enemy out of me—and the media personalities who played in that game with them—at this point we all know who they are.  I will never forget it, I will never forgive it, and I will remind people of it the rest of my life.  I will be 80 and 90 years old still talking about Julie Shafer, Joan Powell, and Karen Mantia.  They had no idea what my relationship was with my family, that my wife understands me and that I am very close with my kids. But if I wasn’t, an event like what Lakota did could have ruined me—and they didn’t care.  In fact, they wanted it to happen.  Lakota took a head shot at me.  They missed, part by design, part by luck—but it gave me a clear viewing of where they were hiding in the shadows loading their guns.  Prior to that event in the Enquirer, they were shooting at me from the darkness and I could never tell where the bullets came from.  After the Enquirer event, I could see the fire flash and direction of origin—and it was the Lakota school board.

So when they play innocent, like what was in Joan’s letter to Graeme, it is an act.  They know the games, and where the bodies are buried.  What it comes down to is money—the school board has no control over the management of their money because of the teacher’s union, and so long as  they pass school levies, they can avoid the harsh reality that they are simply a body of government designed to raise taxes, because that is their only measure of balancing a budget.  Instead of using their powers of manipulation against the union, they used it against me because they saw me as less of a threat than the teacher’s union, and I take that as a direct insult.  So I will dedicate my time, life, and otherwise to ruining theirs.  They will learn that there are greater things to fear than their teacher’s union, and if you take a head shot at me and miss, that you have earned an enemy for life.

Why Voting For The Lakota Levy Is Stupid: Darryl Parks talks about the 2013 school levy on 700 WLW

It was good to hear Darryl Parks maintain his position on school levies, and specifically, the Lakota school levy.  I have purposely avoided doing talk radio during this latest campaign primarily because the levy fighting going into the future needs to grow and more people must to be involved—and for some talk radio can be an intimidating forum to utilize.  Aside from that, there is already a large collection of talk radio interviews that have been done in the past, which are still relevant online.  More broadcasts talking about the same topics tend to become counterproductive, so they were avoided strategically.  Also involved was the issue that No Lakota Levy wished to maintain their message of fiscal responsibility within the Lakota district where I have evolved into questioning the basic premise of public education and believe that it should be abandoned all together in its current form.    Darryl’s position is closer to the No Lakota Levy view, where mine isn’t something that many people are ready to hear, because the answer requires difficult choices—and admissions.  Yet Darryl is well aware what is driving the Lakota levy and he talked about it on his Saturday, November 2nd show which can be heard below.  The Lakota levy is about wealth redistribution, it is a socialist concept created by progressives, and it’s unconstitutional.  It is all about taking from the rich and giving to the poor which is the ugly underbelly of all school levies—but one that gets avoided because of the implications pointing to communist roots.  Nobody wants to admit that their school where their children are attending is a socialist concept.  Nobody wants to face that the educations they received when they were young was a communist creation, but if they think hard enough, the admission becomes easier once they understand the meanings.  CLICK HERE TO REVIEW.  Darryl smartly stays off that topic, but discusses the result—the cost of the Lakota levy for people with $300K to $400K homes will be an additional $600.00 to $800.00 a year and that will likely mean no summer vacations, no big purchases of new furniture, televisions, or even air travel to an overseas destination.  If the Lakota levy were to pass, the people with the most money would have to make sacrifices that those without so much money would otherwise have to make.

Most of the supporters of the Lakota levy are either people who have ridden the coat-tails of those who do have money yet don’t understand the real value—so they are quick to give it away, or they are simply new parents who want what’s best for their children and they believe that public education complete with busing services is the best way to give it to them.  These types make up the vast majority of the levy supporters, and they believe that a “rich man” or a well to do household can afford an extra $800 dollars in taxes a year because they have a $400,000 house.  They believe that if a business can afford to carry payroll, or the owners have a net worth of over a million dollars that they are required to pay more in taxes so that the child of a family not so fortunate can have an education.  Well—anybody who thinks that way is wrong.  That belief is a communist sentiment brought to America through the labor union movement, and it is at the heart of every single school levy.

Just before the Lakota levy vote, superintendent Mantia sent out the following letter to business owners all across West Chester and Liberty Twp.  She likely broke the law sending it because it is campaign literature for levy passage created during her contract hours of work which is technically against Ohio Revised Code 3315.07, which states in part “no board of education shall use public funds to support or oppose the passage of a school levy or bond issue or to compensate any school district employee for time spent on any activity intended to influence the outcome of a school levy or bond issue.”  But whose going to prosecute her………..Sheriff Jones?  He has a deal with Mantia if the levy passes, so he’ll gladly look the other way and so will all the state prosecutors.  The letter from Mantia is a thinly disguised reminder that the business community must pay their “fair share” as determined by the needs of the many.  Mantia means to strong-arm the business community into supporting higher taxes so to avoid the public disgrace of refusing.  I know quite a few business owners in and around Lakota and not a single one of them believe the arguments Mantia presented on the document.  They know that less than 5% of the proposed levy revenue is going to the kind of things she addressed.  The rest of the money is going to Lakota employee raises.  Yet they have felt compelled in the past to just go along to get along.  If the school raised taxes, they’d just raise their prices of service.  This worked for decades until the present time when consumers have proven that they have had enough, and won’t purchase items at a higher price.  So businesses are no longer willing to pass off those higher costs as they are between a rock and a hard place.  If they chose not to support a levy they get called names like selfish, mean-spirited, and have the PTA organizations threaten boycotts against their businesses, such as what happened after the last election.  CLICK HERE FOR REVIEW.  If they pass the tax increase off onto their customers, they will lose business.LAKOTA-LETTER[1]

The levy advocates have a bottomless pit of need and they believe that because a homeowner owns a Mercedes, spends $800 on a meal for business clients, and has a home valued over $500K that they have an obligation toward higher taxes—and they are dead wrong.  Because the taxes never stop, one of those wealthy tax payers today might pay taxes at $600 to $800 more a year every four years for the life of their businesses and will find that they will either have to move to a district with less taxes, or let the value of their assets decrease so that there will be nothing left once their children inherit their lifetime of hard work.   Lakota business owners and residents have been relatively smart in voting down continued school levies—not passing one since 2005.  West Chester and Liberty Township are thriving economic communities where other places like Fairfield, Finneytown, and Evendale are struggling because they are yesterday’s has-beens.  They said yes to similar letters from school superintendents in the past and it cost them their livelihoods.

Butler County in general was built on a foundation of lower taxes.  Why does anybody believe that Bass Pro Shops is leaving Forest Park and moving to West Chester—or here is a better question—why is the economy at Forest Park so bad that the mall there is a virtual ghost town?  One, it is taxes, two it is too much government housing and a demographic population that lives off government money.  The people of Forest Park have less value for money because the government sends them a check in the mail.  Therefore, they do not enjoy the kind of things that Forest Fair Mall tried to offer them over the years as far as retail shopping.  So companies moved out or went out of business.  They went to West Chester where the taxes are less, and people appreciate nice things.  West Chester is still driven by capitalism where Forest Park is drowning in socialism—a string of unfortunate and unintended consequences.  I know this first hand, about twenty years ago I was a personal driver for a Bengal player.  It was my job to drive him around and make sure he got home safely while he jumped from bar to bar.  If people got too close, it was my job to make sure he was covered.  I’d drive this guy all over the city to every hot night spot in town.  Since I didn’t drink or do drugs, I was a good candidate for this kind of thing and wasn’t tempted to play along.  At the end of the day, around 4 AM I’d take him home to his wife.  They lived in a nice part of town full of promise.  They lived in Forest Park, and thought of it as a land of luxury.  Today, that same home is surrounded by Section 8 housing and a welfare demographic that has very few people officially employed.  That is why Forest Fair Mall has failed, and the former Bengal player is no longer married to that woman.  Bad investments lead to bad lifestyles.  Bad lifestyles lead to failed businesses.  Failed businesses lead to empty malls like the one at Forest Fair Mall.

Every resident in the Lakota school district has an obligation to defend their homes and property from the clutches of big government spenders like superintendent Mantia.  Failure to say no to them will result in the same kind of declining community as seen in present day Forest Park, Fairfield and many other places where high taxes and demographic changes have destroyed their communities.  In Lakota, it is the targets of Mantia’s letter that make the community such a nice place, the restaurant owners, the developers, and the financiers.  If they get frustrated with the tax rates and pick up to move, they will leave behind in Lakota a community with crushing tax rates yet no businesses to pay them, because nobody takes the risk of owning something without expected to earn money from it.  The value of any money earned goes down with every tax increase.  Communists, or those trained in the ways of communism have no value for money—they find themselves seeking government employment because that is the only place they can earn a decent living thinking the way they do.  Superintendent Mantia does not understand business.  She thinks because she gets a hand shake and a bit of idle chatter at a charity event from many of the people she sent that letter to, she is on good terms with them.  But she’s not.  What she gets is appeasement the way a person who gets pulled over by a cop tries to appease the cop so that they don’t end up in jail.  Business owners want to keep the peace and the looters out of their pockets.  Taxes like the one proposed for this November levy permanently change wealth, and gives business owners less money to invest in the community, and that is not a good thing.

The communists who devised this ridiculous plan knew what they were doing.  They hated the rich, and sought to level the playing field in every endeavor.  Most levy supporters when asked enough question will reflect the communist roots of their belief when they state that everyone could afford to pay just a bit more for the good of the children.  Many of them will only pay $30 dollars more a month, and since they have kids in the school, it’s no big deal to them.  It’s cheaper than driving their children to school if they are lucky enough to get busing back.  They may cut one trip out to eat with their family a month, and pay their higher tax without further complaint.  But for business owners with millions of dollars in assessed property value, they will be taxed much higher, and the levy supporters with much less personal value will directly benefit.  It’s called confiscation of wealth by the needy majority, and it is a communist concept—and a sickening enterprise.

The school levy at Lakota and every other school district is simply a redistribution of wealth scam that uses children to fulfill a political agenda that as Darryl Parks stated, is unconstitutional.  For the same reasons that superintendents like Lakota’s Mantia ignore Ohio Revised Code 3315.07, authorities under state control ignore the unconstitutional nature of the school levy system because they have allowed the monopoly of public education to dominate the political arena with a communist sentiment that belongs in Kazakhstan, not West Chester, Ohio.  There is nothing good that comes out of tax increases, but everything bad—an element missing from Mantia’s letter.  She likely has no idea what the people who she sent that letter to really think of her, and probably thinks they believe what she is saying as much as she does.  But the difference between her and them is that they actually produce things, while she is just another government parasite, a worker living off the tax payers and again advocating more taxes so her ilk can sustain their unsustainable wages for a few more years.  If there is no other reason to vote against a school levy anywhere in Ohio, it is because the concept is a flawed one that goes against everything America is supposed to stand for—capitalism.  School levies are wealth redistribution attempts by progressive minds for aims that are not beneficial to thriving economies.  And every one of them should be voted down because they won’t end in 2013.  They will continue well into the future until there is no money left to loot and people finally say no because they have nothing left to give.  For the sake of Lakota, and the community that feeds it, the NO VOTES need to come now, while there is still money being produced in an economy that is the envy of Ohio.  Voting NO on the Lakota levy goes a long way to keeping that status.

What Lakota and President Obama Have In Common: Lies, manipulation, and higher taxes

When Obama lies openly to the public then gets caught, the lawyer in him knows that deniability of responsibility will keep him out of direct trouble.  If he can withstand the storm of scrutiny long enough, people will eventually forget what he did, and things will resume to normal.  That strategy is the way of all progressive politicians, and it is a method that has evolved out of Saul Alinsky.  So it is no coincidence that large government schools like Lakota use the same methods to hide their wasteful spending, their sex scandals, and overall inefficiencies–they like Obama are a progressive institution committed to change in America.  For the proof look at who Lakota has employed for third-party advice, such as Jeffery Stec who led the Community Conversations campaign, and most recently the Sun Associates plan which is essentially a progressive think tank from Massachusetts.   Lakota has traditionally attacked those who try to bring light to their wrongs, and desired to simply outlast scrutiny, which is the path they took to arrive at the 2013 school levy in November.  They ignored the facts, ignored their controversies, and tried to outspend their opposition with sheer force to arrive at a moment in time where they could try to paint a picture to the community why they should raise taxes in spite of declining enrollment in the face of a 2014 labor contract.

As before No Lakota Levy has risen to face the impending doom of tax increases with an aggressive campaign against the government school, and as before the For Lakota people have sought to destroy the message hoping that nobody hears it.  No Lakota Levy has put out hundreds of signs at great expense, and nearly as quickly as the signs went into the ground, they were either stolen or destroyed by levy radicals hoping that nobody sees the message.  CLICK HERE FOR A REVIEW OF THE LAST CAMPAIGN.

Stealing, vandalizing, or otherwise attempting to silence their opposition is the only strategy organizations like Lakota, Obama, or any other government entity has because the truth is not their alley.  They cannot answer criticisms, because they are functioning from deceit, and for their mechanisms of manipulation to work, they require an electorate that does not ask questions, seek answers, or have any standards to hold them against.  That is why during the fourth No Lakota Levy campaign the best that the opposition of For Lakota can do is steal and vandalize campaign literature hoping that enough voters won’t learn the truth.  For Lakota to be successful in their levy attempt the need to play the numbers game and hope that voter turnout against them is less—because they cannot answer the questions as to why they need more money.  They can only declare that they need it, and what the impact of not having the money is.  They never can answer the “why.”

Near that location was a large billboard No Lakota Levy Sign that was completely stolen and the one in the photo was damaged so badly that a quick repair was not possible.  The message against No Lakota Levy was simple, if a sign is displayed, it will not only be taken down, but it will be destroyed so it cannot be used again.  It is the same basic premise as what Obama pulled when he pushed through Obamacare without telling the public that his proposal was “legally” a tax.  Or in telling people they’d get to keep their doctor or insurance if they liked their current plan.  Of that he didn’t have any idea what was going on in Benghazi, but he was clearly engaged in the War Room during the killing of Bin Landen.  Obama is a progressive liar and he hides his deceit in his abilities as a lawyer to twist the truth.  In order to do that he must have a media not willing to look at the hard facts—and so far he’s had his wish—which is why the behavior has escalated into the massive health care costs that are about to slam into the American public.  Obama mislead America with Obamacare and Lakota schools has followed the same progressive playbook in their justification of their proposed tax increase which won’t be seen for what it truly is until later—once its too late.  Like Obama, Lakota has no way of defending themselves against facts.  They can only hope the media stays on their side, and people don’t look too deeply at the real situation—which they seek to hide perpetually.  To do that they must steal No Lakota Levy signs so that people won’t go to the website and learn the truth.  CHECK IT FOR YOURSELF AT THE LINK BELOW.

That is the reason for the vandalism against No Lakota Levy signs.  As an institution, Lakota schools do not stand for goodness, for children, or education.  The school stands for lies, more lies, manipulation, deceit and a progressive utopia.  They are a vile government institution hell-bent on the progressive education of today’s youth, and the wealth redistribution of the rich given to the poor.  Three years ago I approached these election issues with a more contemporary approach, but since then, I have gotten to know the participants and this is my conclusion of their behavior—based on their actions.  They are no different philosophically than Obama, and are a detriment to themselves and everyone they come into contact with.  They are a corrosive force that has only their own selfish agenda at heart and they are truly up to no good.  Like Obama, they chose to lie to even themselves about what they stand for, and wish to believe that higher taxes, more centrally controlled education and the theft of community wealth are good. To maintain the illusion to themselves and the voters, they steal the No Lakota Levy signs.  They do not care that thousands of dollars of theft have occurred under their encouragement, because they think they are on a moral crusade for the health of the children, which they have used for their own benefit of tax increases to fulfill the same progressive America that is behind Obamacare.

And the only way to stop them is with the bold vote of NO.  Be sure to vote on Tuesday, November 5th  because Lakota hopes that the “NO” voters will stay home this time, and that Lakota can rally just enough radicals to vote YES on their behalf.  By removing the No Lakota Levy signs, they can take away the fuel propelling the NO vote to the polls on Election Day. But more than that, they hope to remove the question from the public as to why they are in need of money to begin with, and for that, they don’t even want to know the answer—so they remove the reference hoping that nobody will ask.

So far, the media has played along just like they did with Obamacare.

The Truth Behind Obamacare: Wisdom from a constitutional attorney

Obamacare is the most obvious encroachment of socialism into the lives of every American ever attempted.  It is an unequivocal intrusion of socialism against freedom.  It is an attack against the American Constitution by lawyer types looking to build their own legacy defiling the first attempt in human history at self-rule and individual freedom.  Most of the time I cover topics based on my own viewpoints.  However, occasionally I read something that drills home a subject in a way that I admire, and one such articulation of obscure analysis on the subject of Obamacare can be seen below—as interpreted by a constitutional lawyer.   He has read the entire bill, and provides a review based on those facts.  I have not read the entire bill, and I never will.  Before I follow that law….Obamacare…….I will break the law before I waste my life reading that crap.  But this guy has, and everyone should read his opinion.  So I present it to you as it was sent to me.  And I suggest that you send it dear reader to a friend or family member who needs to hear it.

The Truth About the Health Care Bills

Well, I have done it! I have read the entire text of proposed House
Bill 3200: The Affordable Health Care Choices Act of 2009. I studied
it with particular emphasis from my area of expertise, constitutional
law. I was frankly concerned that parts of the proposed law that were
being discussed might be unconstitutional. What I found was far worse
than what I had heard or expected.

To begin with, much of what has been said about the law and its
implications is in fact true, despite what the Democrats and the media
are saying. The law does provide for rationing of health care,
particularly where senior citizens and other classes of citizens are
involved, free health care for illegal immigrants, free abortion
services, and probably forced participation in abortions by members of
the medical profession.

The Bill will also eventually force private insurance companies out of
business, and put everyone into a government run system. All decisions
about personal health care will ultimately be made by federal
bureaucrats, and most of them will not be health care professionals.
Hospital admissions, payments to physicians, and allocations of
necessary medical devices will be strictly controlled by the
government.

However, as scary as all of that is, it just scratches the surface. In
fact, I have concluded that this legislation really has no intention of
providing affordable health care choices. Instead it is a convenient
cover for the most massive transfer of power to the Executive Branch of
government that has ever occurred, or even been contemplated. If this
law or a similar one is adopted, major portions of the Constitution of
the United States will effectively have been destroyed.

The first thing to go will be the masterfully crafted balance of power
between the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches of the U.S.
Government. The Congress will be transferring to the Obama
Administration authority in a number of different areas over the lives
of the American people, and the businesses they own.

The irony is that the Congress doesn’t have any authority to legislate
in most of those areas to begin with! I defy anyone to read the text
of the U.S. Constitution and find any authority granted to the members
of Congress to regulate health care.

This legislation also provides for access, by the appointees of the
Obama administration, of all of your personal healthcare direct
violation of the specific provisions of the 4th Amendment to the
Constitution information, your personal financial information, and the
information of your employer, physician, and hospital. All of this is
a protecting against unreasonable searches and seizures. You can also
forget about the right to privacy. That will have been legislated into
oblivion regardless of what the 3rd and 4th Amendments may provide.

If you decide not to have healthcare insurance, or if you have private
insurance that is not deemed acceptable to the Health Choices
Administrator appointed by Obama, there will be a tax imposed on you.
It is called a tax instead of a fine because of the intent to avoid
application of the due process clause of the 5th Amendment . However ,
that doesn’t work because since there is nothing in the law that allows
you to contest or appeal the imposition of the tax, it is definitely
depriving someone of property without the due process of law.

So, there are three of those pesky amendments that the far left hate so
much, out of the original ten in the Bill of Rights ,that are effectively
nullified by this law. It doesn’t stop there though.

The 9th Amendment that provides : The enumeration in the Constitution,
of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others
retained by the people;

The 10th Amendment states : The powers not delegated to the United
States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are
preserved to the States respectively, or to the people. Under the
provisions of this piece of Congressional handiwork neither the people
nor the states are going to have any rights or powers at all in many
areas that once were theirs to control.

I could write many more pages about this legislation, but I think you
get the idea. This is not about health care; it is about seizing power
and limiting rights. Article 6 of the Constitution requires the
members of both houses of Congress to “be bound by oath or affirmation
to support the Constitution.” If I was a member of Congress I would not
be able to vote for this legislation or anything like it, without
feeling I was violating that sacred oath or affirmation. If I voted
for it anyway, I would hope the American people would hold me
accountable.

For those who might doubt the nature of this threat, I suggest they
consult the source, the US Constitution, and Bill of Rights . There you
can see exactly what we are about to have taken from us.

Communist Plank 15–What Che Guevara and John Boehner Have In Common: Seen through the eyes of JFK’s mistress

This is a continuing series done here at Overmanwarrior’s Wisdom analyzing the 45 Planks of Communism unleashed to the public in the 1958 book The Naked Communist.   You can see the entire list by CLICKING HERE.  You can also read the last article in the series by CLICKING HERE.  The easiest way to understand how communists think is to read Ayn Rand’s We The Living, which takes place in 1924, roughly 7 years after the Russian Revolution and follows several families through their struggle to cope with the rise of the U.S.S.R as a communist political force, which would continue until Russia ran out of money in the 1990’s.  But up until the last day, the communist cause was to infiltrate the entire world philosophically, not literally.  Communists did not intend to win everyone over to their side by forcing the hammer and sickle down their throats in broad daylight.  They had learned the error of their ways in implementing communism too quickly in Petrograd—and intended to carry those lessons with amendments to their world-wide campaign to spread social collectivism to every corner of planet earth.

Communists, particularly in the 1970’s and 1980’s were very arrogant about their beliefs.  They believed in the greater good, so did not care if they came across individually as arrogant, or hurting the feelings  of people since their focus was on collectivism.  In the previous articles explained here it is clear that communists sought to use The United Nations as a platform to carry them through economic collapse—which was evident to them.  They knew it was coming, so they sought to gather up the wealth of those functioning under capitalism until their philosophic enemy had been plucked dry.  Then and only then did they believe communism would work, when it was the ONLY political philosophy left in the world.

Two years ago I would not have believed any of this were possible, but during my research into why public schools were so insanely destructive—economically, the only answer that has come back out of all my research is that they had been penetrated by communism with small doses of socialism until after a couple of generations nobody could not even see the difference—even the employees. We will get into this topic in much greater detail in a future article.  Also over the years I have known many politicians, both local and national.    It was last summer when a local politician was very upset with me for calling his kind RINO’s, (Republican In Name Only) that I realized there was something much more serious going on.  The anger was not just in the name, but in the realization that there was truth to it, and the prospect of the accusation was simply too great for the guy.  He was mad not just at me for seeing it, but for making him question it in himself.  The foundation of everything this politician believed had been shaken to its very core, and he was having a crises.  That crisis was the knowledge that the ideals of Abraham Lincoln, Calvin Coolidge, Thomas Jefferson and even Ronald Reagan were gone from the Republican Party as far as philosophy.  Too many modern Republicans had found themselves caught in “making deals” to keep the peace against radicals from the other party and they had lost their way–they realized too late the nature of the attack against them.  Communists had infiltrated the Democratic Party in every way that McCarthy feared—and once the public relation machine turned on the McCarthy Hearings and the communists looked to escape scrutiny, they became much more socially bold.  This brings us to Plank 15 on the 45 Planks of Communism shown below.

15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.

 

Clearly the Democratic Party had been captured by communists prior to 1958, at least informally.  The Democratic platform announced each year at the DNC convention nearly parallels the goals of communism verbatim, and this began during the Red Decade in The United States where many media outlets, universities, and politicians from elite social circles were openly embracing communism as an alternative to capitalism with the same kind of regard that a woman might change shoes from one charity fund raiser to another so to be seen not being so poor to not have other pairs of high heels.  In social circles, especially in the 1960’s is was considered high-brow to admire the work of Che Guevara the Cuban revolutionary and right hand man of Fidel Castro.  It is within the actions of Che—who continues to be a symbol of anti capitalism among American youth–which the extent of the communist push into the American political system can be measured. 

Ernesto “Che” Guevara (Spanish pronunciation: [ˈtʃe ɣeˈβaɾa];[7] June 14,[1] 1928 – October 9, 1967), commonly known as el Che or simply Che, was an Argentine Marxist revolutionary, physician, author, guerrilla leader, diplomat, and military theorist. A major figure of the Cuban Revolution, his stylized visage has become a ubiquitous countercultural symbol of rebellion and global insignia within popular culture.[8]

As a young medical student, Guevara traveled throughout South America and was radicalized by the poverty, hunger, and disease he witnessed.[9] His burgeoning desire to help overturn what he saw as the capitalist exploitation of Latin America by the United States prompted his involvement in Guatemala‘s social reforms under President Jacobo Árbenz, whose eventual CIA-assisted overthrow at the behest of the United Fruit Company solidified Guevara’s political ideology.[9] Later, while living in Mexico City, he met Raúl and Fidel Castro, joined their 26th of July Movement, and sailed to Cuba aboard the yacht, Granma, with the intention of overthrowing US-backed Cuban dictator Fulgencio Batista.[10] Guevara soon rose to prominence among the insurgents, was promoted to second-in-command, and played a pivotal role in the victorious two-year guerrilla campaign that deposed the Batista regime.[11]

Following the Cuban Revolution, Guevara performed a number of key roles in the new government. These included reviewing the appeals and firing squads for those convicted as war criminals during the revolutionary tribunals,[12] instituting agrarian land reformas minister of industries, helping spearhead a successful nationwide literacy campaign, serving as both national bank president and instructional director for Cuba’s armed forces, and traversing the globe as a diplomat on behalf of Cuban socialism. Such positions also allowed him to play a central role in training the militia forces who repelled the Bay of Pigs Invasion[13] and bringing the Soviet nuclear-armed ballistic missiles to Cuba which precipitated the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis.[14] Additionally, he was a prolific writer and diarist, composing a seminal manual on guerrilla warfare, along with a best-selling memoir about his youthful continental motorcycle journey. His experiences and studying of Marxism–Leninism led him to posit that the Third World‘s underdevelopmentand dependence was an intrinsic result of imperialismneocolonialism, and monopoly capitalism, with the only remedy beingproletarian internationalism and world revolution.[15][16] Guevara left Cuba in 1965 to foment revolution abroad, first unsuccessfully inCongo-Kinshasa and later in Bolivia, where he was captured by CIA-assisted Bolivian forces and summarily executed.[17]

Guevara remains both a revered and reviled historical figure, polarized in the collective imagination in a multitude of biographies, memoirs, essays, documentaries, songs, and films. As a result of his perceived martyrdom, poetic invocations for class struggle, and desire to create the consciousness of a “new man” driven by moral rather than material incentives, he has evolved into a quintessential icon of various leftist-inspired movements. Time magazine named him one of the 100 most influential people of the 20th century,[18] while an Alberto Korda photograph of him entitled Guerrillero Heroico (shown), was cited by the Maryland Institute College of Art as “the most famous photograph in the world”.[19]

He interprets history, understands it’s dynamic, predicts the future, but in addition to predicting it (which would satisfy his scientific obligation), he expresses a revolutionary concept: the world must not only be interpreted, it must be transformed. Man ceases to be the slave and tool of his environment and converts himself into the architect of his own destiny.”

When enacting and advocating Cuban policy, Guevara cited the political philosopher Karl Marx as his ideological inspiration. In defending his political stance, Guevara confidently remarked that “There are truths so evident, so much a part of people’s knowledge, that it is now useless to discuss them. One ought to be Marxist with the same naturalness with which one is “Newtonian” in physics, or “Pasteurian” in biology.”[130]According to Guevara, the “practical revolutionaries” of the Cuban Revolution had the goal of “simply fulfill(ing) laws foreseen by Marx, the scientist.”[130] Using Marx’s predictions and system of dialectical materialism, Guevara professed that “The laws of Marxism are present in the events of the Cuban Revolution, independently of what its leaders profess or fully know of those laws from a theoretical point of view.”[130]

The “New Man”, Bay of Pigs and missile crisis

At this stage, Guevara acquired the additional position of Finance Minister, as well as President of the National Bank. These appointments, combined with his existing position as Minister of Industries, placed Guevara at the zenith of his power, as the “virtual czar” of the Cuban economy.[126] As a consequence of his position at the head of the central bank, it was now Guevara’s duty to sign the Cuban currency, which per custom would bear his signature. Instead of using his full name, he signed the bills solely “Che“.[132] It was through this symbolic act, which horrified many in the Cuban financial sector, that Guevara signaled his distaste for money and the class distinctions it brought about.[132] Guevara’s long time friend Ricardo Rojo later remarked that “the day he signed Che on the bills, (he) literally knocked the props from under the widespread belief that money was sacred.”[133]

In an effort to eliminate social inequalities, Guevara and Cuba’s new leadership had moved to swiftly transform the political and economic base of the country through nationalizing factories, banks, and businesses, while attempting to ensure affordable housing, healthcare, and employment for all Cubans.[135] However, in order for a genuine transformation of consciousness to take root, Guevara believed that such structural changes would have to be accompanied by a conversion in people’s social relations and values. Believing that the attitudes in Cuba towards race, women, individualism, and manual labor were the product of the island’s outdated past, Guevara urged all individuals to view each other as equals and take on the values of what he termed “el Hombre Nuevo” (the New Man).[135] Guevara hoped his “new man” would ultimately be “selfless and cooperative, obedient and hard-working, gender-blind, incorruptible, non-materialistic, and anti-imperialist.”[135] To accomplish this, Guevara emphasized the tenets of Marxism-Leninism, and wanted to use the state to emphasize qualities such as egalitarianism and self-sacrifice, at the same time as “unity, equality, and freedom” became the new maxims.[135]Guevara’s first desired economic goal of the new man, which coincided with his aversion for wealth condensation and economic inequality, was to see a nation-wide elimination of material incentives in favor of moral ones. He negatively viewed capitalism as a “contest among wolves” where “one can only win at the cost of others” and thus desired to see the creation of a “new man and woman”.[136] Guevara continually stressed that a socialist economy in itself is not “worth the effort, sacrifice, and risks of war and destruction” if it ends up encouraging “greed and individual ambition at the expense of collective spirit“.[137] A primary goal of Guevara’s thus became to reform “individual consciousness” and values to produce better workers and citizens.[137] In his view, Cuba’s “new man” would be able to overcome the “egotism” and “selfishness” that he loathed and discerned was uniquely characteristic of individuals in capitalist societies.[137] To promote this concept of a “new man”, the government also created a series of party-dominated institutions and mechanisms on all levels of society, which included organizations such as labor groupsyouth leagueswomen’s groupscommunity centers, and houses of culture to promote state-sponsored art, music, and literature. In congruence with this, all educational, mass media, and artistic community based facilities were nationalized and utilized to instill the government’s official socialist ideology.[135] In describing this new method of “development”, Guevara stated:

“There is a great difference between free-enterprise development and revolutionary development. In one of them, wealth is concentrated in the hands of a fortunate few, the friends of the government, the best wheeler-dealers. In the other, wealth is the people’s patrimony.”[138]

A further integral part of fostering a sense of “unity between the individual and the mass”, Guevara believed, was volunteer work and will. To display this, Guevara “led by example”, working “endlessly at his ministry job, in construction, and even cutting sugar cane” on his day off.[139] He was known for working 36 hours at a stretch, calling meetings after midnight, and eating on the run.[137] Such behavior was emblematic of Guevara’s new program of moral incentives, where each worker was now required to meet a quota and produce a certain quantity of goods. As a replacement for the pay increases abolished by Guevara, workers who exceeded their quota now only received a certificate of commendation, while workers who failed to meet their quotas were given a pay cut.[137] Guevara unapologetically defended his personal philosophy towards motivation and work, stating:

“This is not a matter of how many pounds of meat one might be able to eat, or how many times a year someone can go to the beach, or how many ornaments from abroad one might be able to buy with his current salary. What really matters is that the individual feels more complete, with much more internal richness and much more responsibility.”[140]

Che went on to become an international sensation—a celebrity that was the greatest advocate of communism in the world during the 1960’s.  As a military mind and revolutionary who hated the capitalism of America, he intended to subvert America strategically in the manner that an aggressor might cease a city, by surrounding it until the pent-up occupants were so hungry that they’d do anything to eat.  Che Guevara surrounded the philosophy of global capitalism with communism until even the staunchest Republican was questioning their own moral ground—and were willing to accept some aspects of communism so not to be out-maneuvered politically by rivals who followed the example of Che Guevara.

Democrats were those rivals to the Republicans and they were firmly behind Che and the communist takeover of Cuba.  Even though it was Kennedy a Democrat who had to deal with Castro during the Cuban Missile Crisis, it was members of his own party that allowed the stalemate to occur in the first place.  To allow the Soviet Union to use a communist territory right off the coast of America to terrorize the mainland with nuclear threat was a strategy that was well in place for many years and was hardly a surprise to anyone on the inside who knew the real intentions of communists.

Communism found its way into both American political parties after the failure of the McCarthy hearings to stop the communist advancement as the public had accepted through their universities the continuous communist push by supportive faculty.  It was common back then to see campus protests in the 1950’s declaring “Better Red then Dead” which was a KGB designed public relations campaign designed to turn the youth of America against capitalism.  It was better to be alive under communism then dead under capitalism which was the message.  Communist revolutionaries that reached rock star status like Che Guevara backed up that implanted fear with action.

Many of the politicians today, including the guy who was so mad at being called a RINO by me had their personal political philosophies shaped during the volatile period just described.  Their opinions about the world were shaped under the threat of KGB marketing machines and the literal antagonism of Che Guevara.  To the exact extent, let us see the situation through the eyes of John F. Kennedy himself during the terrible Cuban Missile crises which was organized strategically by Guevara himself through the firsthand memory of the President’s very young mistress at the time.

In June 1962, Mimi Alford was a 19-year old freshman from Wheaton College who had an internship at the White House. Within four days of meeting her, JFK took her on a tour of the White House, maneuvered her into a bedroom, undressed her, and made love to her “as if it was the most natural thing in the world.”

Alford’s story matters because she spent time with JFK on perhaps the single most important day in his presidency. It came in late October 1962 after the affair had carried on for several months. The U.S. had discovered that the Soviet Union secretly installed nuclear missiles in Cuba to defend the revolutionary government of Fidel Castro. Most of JFK’s national security advisors — and all of the Joint Chiefs of Staff  — recommended JFK order the invasion of the island to destroy the missiles and overthrow the impudent Castro. JFK, a war hero, resisted. He accepted the lesser measure of a Naval blockade of the island while searching for a diplomatic solution.

Alford, back at school in Massachusetts, evoked the dread of those days when the world stood on the brink of nuclear war, an “atmosphere of deep concern in some quarters and outright hysteria in others. We were warned about a national shortage of bomb shelters. We were besieged with apocalyptic estimates of how many people would die in a nuclear exchange.” No doubt seeking diversion from the burdens of office, JFK invited her to Washington. (He’d sent Jackie Kennedy and his children out-of-town.)

When Alford arrived at the White House on Oct. 28, 1962, Dave Powers, JFK’s personal aide, told her that the president had just sent a message to Moscow asking, for the last time, that the missiles be removed. Many thought war would start within 48 hours.

“Normally, he would have put his presidential duties behind him, had a drink and done his best to lighten up the room,” Alford recalled. Instead, JFK paced, contemplating whether he would soon have to make a decision to send thousands, if not millions, of people to a violent death.  At one point, after leaving the room to take another urgent phone call, he came back shaking his head and said to Alford, “I’d rather my children be red than dead.” It wasn’t a political statement or an attempt at levity. These were the words of a father who adored his children and couldn’t bear them being hurt.  Thus, this is how both political parties in America accepted communism.

The truth is hard to admit.  Most people I know in politics support open socialism and they mistakenly call it capitalism.  Their minds are distorted with deal making and political slander—lost to any resemblance of morality because they have been taught incorrect ideals about virtually everything in their life.  Those ideals were shaped by the communists of the late 1950’s and 60’s under great duress and fear—under literal terrorism where global communists attacked the philosophy of capitalism with great hate, the way radical Muslims attack Christianity with ruthlessly determined swagger and a sense that their individual lives do not matter so long as the collective whole lives on.

About 30 minutes before Che Guevara was executed in 1967 at the tender young age of 39, Félix Rodríguez privately told a captured Guevara that he was going to be executed. Guevara then responded by asking Rodríguez if he was an American of Mexican or Puerto Rican origin, having noted that Rodríguez did not speak Bolivian Spanish. Rodríguez replied that he was originally from Cuba but that he had emigrated to the US and was currently a member of the CIA. Guevara’s only reply was a loud “ha!” and he refused to speak any more to Rodríguez, who left the hut.

A little later, a few minutes before Guevera was executed, he was asked by one of the Bolivian soldiers guarding him if he was thinking about his own immortality. “No,” he replied, “I’m thinking about the immortality of the revolution.”[206] A few minutes later, Sergeant Terán entered the hut and immediately ordered the other soldiers out. Alone with Terán, Che Guevara then stood up and spoke to his executioner which were his last words: “I know you’ve come to kill me. Shoot. Do it. Shoot me, you coward! You are only going to kill a man!”[207] As Guevara was speaking, Terán hesitated, then opened fire with his M1 Garand semi-automatic rifle, hitting him in the arms and legs. Che Guevara was pronounced dead at 1:10 pm local time according to Rodríguez.[207] In all, Guevara was shot nine times by Terán. That is how selfless, and fanatical communists have always been.  They will hide their beliefs until it serves their strategic objective, then they will stop at nothing to execute their goal—even if it means their death.

American politics was captured during this period of revolution and it continues to be shaped to this day by communism, falsely believed to have been defeated during the Cold War.  The current government shut-down is a long culmination of these events where years and years of abuse have finally collapsed on itself economically.  The nature of these politicians is now clear.  They are only functionaries under a system that is riddled with socialism by a communist push that has lasted for nearly 100 years in America, but climaxed right after the release of The Naked Communist.  The situation is so bad that the so-called bastion of the Republican Party, the current Speaker of the House and my direct congressman, John Boehner was caught trying to cut a deal with the Democrats Harry Reid and Barack Obama to exclude at least the political class from the socialism of Obamacare.  READ MORE AT THE LINK BELOW FOR DETAILS.

I sent that article to some of the people who fund  Boehner’s campaign in my area leaving them in a difficult position.  What they will do with that information is the result of years of communism—if they deny Boehner campaign funds they risk having a communist oriented Democrat representing them in congress.  If they try to crack down on Boehner without the collective support of other fundraisers, they may find themselves and their business scrutinized by the federal government unfavorably—so it is risky to do anything.  Of course Boehner knows all this.  His dilemma in trying to strike a deal with Reid was similar to the one that JFK was faced with while having sex with his 19-year-old mistress, it’s better red than dead.  Rather than fight Obamacare outright at first, until the Tea Party members of the Republican Party voiced their protests, Boehner wanted to at least work out an exemption for himself, his family and his members—as Speaker of the House.  He hoped to work out a concession.  John Boehner’s focus was not on the deceitful ways that Obamacare was passed, on the disguise of it as a tax to shove it through the Democratically controlled House and Senate, the Supreme Court Ruling allowing it to stand as a “tax” on the American public when it was really sold as another entitlement—on the origin of the deal to make all Americans customers to the insurance industry whether they wanted to or not compelling them under force to buy something—Boehner could only think about himself just like the terrible day in 1962 just before his assassination  in Texas where Kennedy confided to his lover—its better red than dead.

Obamacare is a communist dream and its start can be traced back to the intention of communists in 1958 to infiltrate both political parties in America.  There can be no question that they were successful based on the actions of the current House Speaker John Boehner who is a functioning communist believing with all his heart and soul that he’s a fiscal conservative.  When faced with the realization that it is better red then dead, even the hardest core conservative will choose to go red, so to protect their own lives from the threat of communism which they fear so intensely, they no longer even call it by its proper name.

The Mind of Lakota School Levy Supporters: Hidden meanings from behind enemy lines by the Lorax

It is now at a point that I cannot read all my email, let alone respond to all of them.  But I have a group of people who when I see their name in the header, I make a point to at least read what they send me.  Of these people is a group that sends me rumors, facts, and happenings behind the enemy lines at the Lakota school district.  I learn all kinds of things from these “double agents” who show their Lakota employers politeness and cooperation to their faces, but are willing to cut out their heart through actions driven by pent-up frustration.  One such email came to me from within the For Lakota campaign as the participants were promoting their pro levy zombie tactics to one another through a Facebook campaign.

I put a small caption of these Facebook diatribes upon these pages below for analysis, because it offers a fascinating glimpse into the thoughts and actions of the typical levy supporter.  Most of the normal people who vote against school levies don’t get a chance to interact with these levy supporters because what they say disgusts us.  But in the context of their social imposition, it is relevant to understand their mindset.  With that in mind, read the exchange below with caution.  The shallow perspective may be extremely insulting, yet it is the kind of dialogue that is going on within the confines of the typical levy supporter openly broadcast on their Facebook accounts.

So let’s study what is meant by the phrase, “Our children deserve the best so let’s make sure that Lakota is able to give it to them,” since this appears to be a common belief among the levy supporters.   What is the determining qualification for why “their” children deserve the best?  Why do they deserve the best, because they are the children of these particular women?  What makes these mothers so special?  Are these children royalty for some future kingdom—what makes them so prone to entitlement?  And why does Lakota have to give them this attribute.  Lakota in the context provided is all tax payers in the Lakota district.  These mothers are supporting the open looting of financial assets from every tax payer to fulfill the Barbi dream house mentality that their children are automatically deserving of some special treatment just for being born.

The word “let’s” implies collective action, as though through thuggish democracy the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.  The levy advocate above states clearly that even if voters are on the fence, they should just vote Yes for some greater purpose—defined by the levy supporter. They are encouraging thoughtless compliance to the mob rule of group assimilation.  The purpose of this Facebook communication is not to address a single fact as to why taxes need to be increased at Lakota, but simply to advance the emotion of the argument with thoughtless compliance.

Always at the center of these rally cries are the “needs of the children” which are exploited, as if kids will be destroyed if such a tax increase is not passed.  Yet the responsibility for raising children falls squarely on the shoulders of the parents.  Most of these staunch advocates of tax increases come from voters who are deeply insecure about their parenting skills, and would rather pass that responsibility off onto a paid teacher who is professionally trained.  This equates to the same mentality of the person who sends their car to the dealer to change their oil or replace the brakes.  Since they lack the skills to make the repairs to their vehicles on their own, they would rather pay large fees to have someone else perform the task for them.  The same trend translates over into their family lives; they would rather pay a specialist to do their parenting for them, because they lack the skills of parenting needed to raise children.  They seek to cover up this deep insecurity with rally cries supporting teachers who they fully expect to do their parenting jobs for them while they run around like busy bodies gossiping about everyone who intersects their life, eating too much, shopping too much and are continually busy so they can always have an excuse for avoiding the scary task of parenting.  The escapades of their life are a travesty of errors brought about by their need to avoid the insecurities of parenting.  So they want Lakota teachers to do their job for them, and expect the “community” to pay for their children to be fixed, just like a mechanic fixes their cars.  The notion is as stupid as those same tax advocates asking the community to pay for their oil change, when the rest of us tend to do it ourselves.

Most voters in the Lakota district already raised their kids, and they did it on their own.  They didn’t leave the task of raising children to professional teachers.  In previous generations, when education quality seemed to be higher, and still cost a lot less than it does today, teachers were only a part of the lives of children, they weren’t expected to actually be the parents the way modern levy supporters do.  The guilt that many parents feel over their lack of skill in communicating with their children is covered up with their radical support of tax increases.  In a warped way, the levy advocates believe that they can sin every day of the week, but on Sunday, they can say a prayer and get into heaven.  In the case of their children’s educations, they believe they can be gossiping, materialistic, social menaces and all the sins of their lives will be erased if they campaign for higher taxes at their children’s school.  They convince themselves and anyone who will listen that everything they do is “for the children” but it’s really for them—to cover the sins of their chosen lifestyle and the guilt they feel over it.

I know most these levy supporters will read this at some point in time over the next couple of months and I challenge any of them to dispute my claims in the comments below.  I know what is in their hearts and I invite them to dispute it with me.  But they can’t because what I have said here is true—it is the backbone of their neurosis—they seek redemption for the sins of their crumbling lives off the backs of their children and they hope that nobody notices.  But anybody with any level of intelligences sees the situation clearly.  Only the like-minded levy supporter is blind to the messages of mental depletion that is written upon their foreheads with invisible ink, yet the messages are there for those with special lighting who can see it plain as day.  My special lighting comes from experience, and in dealing with these types of people for thirty years now.  I have met and dealt with every personality type that gets involved with these school levy things, and I know how they think.  The tax increase is not for their children, but to get them off the hook for being terrible parents either by choice, or by personal insecurities.  The cry for better schools is the subtle demand that someone besides them raise their children for them.  The crime is that those types of parents believe falsely that their children can be maintained like their cars—dropped off at the dealer to have their oil changed and brakes fixed—then returned to them all ready to run for a few thousand more miles.  But kids don’t work like that—and no amount of tax money thrown into the black hole of public education can change that fact.  Kids need love, and they need parents who are role models.  And that can’t be purchased at a school, or supplied through tax increases.

As for the Lorax , he’s a greenie weenie tree hugging anti-capitalist and it is appropriate that the pro levy Lakota campaign would seek him as a symbol of justification for their public education expansion.  Watch the video above and see how anti-business the Lorax is—just like the pro levy supporters at Lakota.

Binik-Thomas Responds to Deer Park School Levy Request

Deer Park, OH, September 4, 2013– The budget shortfall remains one of the largest district concerns.  I have had the opportunity to review the coffee session materials and the five-year budget with senior district leadership.  I have come to the conclusion that the levy is premature.

As a taxpayer, I expect budget lines that do not impact services or people should be reduced or removed prior to a request for new funds.  The five-year budget includes quite a few areas where this has not yet occurred.  Among these are a postal meter, awards, and a line labeled “other.”

The coffee session materials provided attendees with a false choice of ‘tax me a bit more now’ or ‘tax me a lot more later.’  Predictably, the attendees selected the lower tax number.  District mailers tout this “choice.”

The proposed levy will tax us forever in order to plug a potential four-year gap.

Next Steps

Regardless of the outcome of this levy, we need to engage in long-term revenue planning to ensure we can cover unfunded mandates, educational needs, and emergencies without continually asking for taxpayer bailouts or levies.

We have two success stories in town to use as a model:  my alma maters, Walnut Hills High School and the University of Cincinnati.  Each has provided ways to grow funding, using many under-$20 donors, to achieve their goals.

We can further mitigate this risk by limiting our dependence on taxpayer (federal) funds.

Even though I personally think public education is a complete waste of time, and am not the politician type as I don’t play well with others, I admire when local people who are very passionate about reform get involved in politics.  I would say to Justin that he is wasting his time with the Deer Park School Board; however, he wouldn’t be if all the school board members were like him.  It is entirely possible that public education would not be such a wreck as it is today if people like Justin were school board members in every district in America.

Unfortunately most school board members are big spenders who are in love with the government statist version of public education—filled with progressive politics and antagonistic toward American tradition.  That’s why they often run and win while conservatives build businesses, make money and throw money at progressives like a fisherman trying to escape blood thirsty piranhas by pouring blood in the water to take them off the scent.  Justin Binik-Thomas is not one of those types.  He is a star in his own right, an accomplished person who could care less whether or not he has a powerful nameplate on his desk in charge of millions of dollars.  If voters of Deer Park had to pick anyone in a ballot box during their entire lifetimes, it is unlikely they would run across a candidate as pure as Justin Binik-Thomas who simply wants to do the right thing for the right reasons at the absolute right time.

The Lakota School Wedding Crashers: Levy supporters late to the party and pretentious

I’ve given my two daughters both nice weddings.  One had her wedding at a nice country club setting that was very private.  That was a great experience and has fond memories.  The other was one that took place near downtown Cincinnati in a nice establishment specializing in wedding receptions, and often hosts multiple weddings in the same building.  When my daughter had her wedding at this facility, there were four other weddings going on in the same building and that I didn’t care for.  The place we were holding the wedding was very posh and elegant, but the lack of exclusivity made me perpetually uneasy.  I didn’t like it.

Our wedding reception went on for quite a while and was the last of the multiple weddings to yield to the night.  With that said as the music was thumping and our dance floor was crowded a group of guys from another wedding which had just ended came into our wedding looking for some fun, alcohol, and action.  Well, that was a big mistake, because this is my family, my nieces, and friends of my daughters, not some random pieces of meat for young men to fondle, and I wasn’t going to stand for it.  So I told the boys to get lost, that I wasn’t going to tolerate any wedding crashers.    They insisted that they just wanted to have a good time, and that I should reconsider.  I told them flatly, “NO.”  It was my money, my family, and my decision, end of story.

The boys left with their heads hung with rejection.  They couldn’t help but notice the attractive women in my family and cussed at themselves for the lost opportunities.  However, little did they know or understand that part of the reason there were so many attractive women in my family is because there are men like me who fight to give them some sanctuary to reside within, who keep them from being just cheap pieces of meat for the use of young boys looking for conquest.  Some members of my family thought I was too hard on the boys, and thought the wedding would be a lot more fun if a massive party erupted and I was the “cool” type who allowed wedding crashers to liven things up with their spontaneity.  But I’m not that kind of guy and if I’m spending thousands of dollars on a reception center for my daughter’s wedding, it will be the way she wants it—and wedding crashers didn’t fit the profile.

I spent about the same amount of money on that reception hall as I do in taxes for the Lakota school system each year which is the public school in my area.   Yet just last night embolden by events at the Lakota football games where the school had a booth set up passing out campaign signs for their upcoming levy attempt, several emails and comments came my way from levy addict supporters who were charged up with “school pride” established at the football game.  The message to me was that if I didn’t like the tax increase then I should move out of the community.  Click the link below to see one of those comments and my response.

To me, those types of people are like those kids who wanted to crash my daughter’s wedding.  I graduated from Lakota many years ago and have lived in the area most of my life.  When I was a kid I grew up in a house along 747 when it was farmland for as far as the eye could see.  My home was on the kind of land that the Carriage Hill homeowners are paying 150K per plot to own today.  But I lived on such anchorage when very few homes could be seen from my front yard.  Traffic down 747 had the character of a distant country road.  My boyhood home is gone now replaced by a strip mall that one of the guys in my group No Lakota Levy built.  I didn’t always get along with those guys, but we did join together to fight the Lakota schools massive taxation plans for a community we had all been in from the beginning.  I have watched many new homes move into the area who are willing to pay extraordinary amounts of money to have essentially what I had as a kid—and that’s fine.   I understand wanting to have the best for families.

But when snot nosed despots move into the area with about a 5 second investment of their time and resources into my community then tell me I need to move, I think back to the kind of mentality that was exhibited by those wedding crashers at my daughter’s wedding that I had to run off.  These new pretentious homeowners who have moved into the Lakota community and overpaid for their properties due to their own stupidity, and arrogance are wedding crashers in the Lakota community relative to my position.  I am the one who paid for everything with my years of tax revenue contributed, and I helped shape the school into what it is with my participation in it, because I attended there.  So it’s my business if I want to tell the Lakota administration they are full of shit and need to manage their money better.  And if I want to call the levy supporters a bunch of pretentious latté sipping prostitutes with asses the size of car tires, and diamond rings to match—I will do it, and I have a right to do it—because it’s my community and I’ve invested a lot more in it than they have.

The levy supporters think that just because they show up in Lakota and purchase a half million dollar home on a quarter acre plot of land that they have some right to tell people like me to move if I don’t like their intentions to vote for higher taxes.  They are just as stupid and immature as those wedding crashing young men who thought they could come to my daughter’s wedding and play out some fantasy of what they saw in a movie.  In that fantasy they thought I’d sit idly by while they grabbed the asses of the women attending and had a jolly time drinking from the bar while I paid for everything and quietly sat in a corner and acted like the out-of-touch middle-ager they thought I was.    To their mindset I was old, and I had my day in the sun, and I should sacrifice myself to the youth so they could have their fun, and memories which they wanted to make at my expense.  The same mentality is present with the wedding crashers of Lakota.  A bunch of pretentious snobs have moved into the area and think that their little 7 to 8-year-old children should have infinite resources and that the community should spare no expense for their pleasure.  They are of course wrong.

I spend as much money in taxes on Lakota every year as I did on just that dance hall for my daughter’s wedding.  So it should come as no surprise what my response to the wedding crashers of Lakota is.  To me they are mindless zombies who don’t consider what the cost of a tax increase will do to the community, but only indulge in their own short-term desire to fill their bellies, and they have no right to make any demands, let alone move into my community then tell me to move out if I don’t like their decisions.  That is not how the world works.

If that is the levy strategy concocted at the Friday night football games by the pro levy crowd, good luck.  I’m not the only one who feels that way.  To most who live in the Lakota community, they see the levy zombies the same way I do, as wedding crashers.  Those types of people—the wedding crashers do not care for all the events that led up to the wedding, they only want to attend the party once everyone else has done the work.  In Lakota, few have done more work than I have, and few have the concerns of Liberty Twp., in their blood more than I.  So it naturally disgusts me to see pretentious, short-sighted snobs enter the arena of debate with demands for higher taxes to cover a neurosis that resides deep within their psychological imperfections.  I do not tolerate “community crashers,” especially when I’m paying the bill.

Doc Thompson Blasts Public Education and Common Core: Entertainment and Education tag team children behind parents backs

The harsher reality to the presidency of Barack Obama is not just that he is a manipulative saboteur of American ideals who supports socialism over capitalism, but he was elected as a representative of a large number of the American public—people who enjoy welfare support, think the Miley Cyrus stunt at the recent MTV awards was cool, and loves intoxication, drug abuse, and alternative sexual practices.  The worse realization about the Obama administration is that it represents a growing number of Americans.  The origin of how those people came to be such a group of degenerates is harder to pin down because it forces an admission that is difficult to acknowledge.  The minds making up the typical modern progressive described started at the same point as everyone else, small children born of a mother and a father.  But the path that delivers such minds to fish net stocking wearing voters dressed in drag voting for Obama and his free government “stuff” is different from those who tend to find such personal philosophies repulsive.  Those differences of course start in a child’s home and are determined by their parents.  But beyond that, it is public education that destroys the minds of young people and corrupts them well into their adulthoods.  Public schools are breeding grounds for progressive philosophy and are dangerous.  They have been for a long time, but it has only been the last couple of years where such admissions have begun to be made.  Doc Thompson and his producer Skip on The Blaze Radio Network dedicated an entire hour and a half to the topic of public education corruption which can be heard at the clip below.  It is worth the time to listen to, because they cover Common Core instruction during the beginning then allow the discussion to evolve into the aim of public schools—which is to educate and create progressive citizens—who wishes to work against traditional America.  Have a listen! This is classic radio and you should take the time to listen to the whole thing.  

Public schools are incubators for social change—the kind of change that would rather see a child attend a Rocky Horror Picture Show screening at midnight in some dank college campus movie theater rather than attend church on Sunday to worship the teachings of Jesus Christ.  So it should come as no surprise that kids after twelve to thirteen years of public school education arrive at 18 years of age unprepared to do anything of any responsibly as an adult, because progressive education teaches personal irresponsibility.  Public school educations are destructive, and do ruin the minds of the attendees.

The tough admission is that almost every American comes from public schools and to arrive at the conclusion that it is there many of the stupid ideas which lead to presidents like Obama sitting in The White House are born.  Public schools are for most parents free baby sitting services which gives the illusion of positive social instruction, so it is hard for parents to blame the progressive tendencies of their children on “the baby sitter” because it forces acknowledging that they must take action to help save their children.  For many parents this means they have to make decisions that will likely cost them money…………..and time, which often they have neither.  So they are stuck sending their children to their local public school and they put on blinders to the faults of the institution because they do not have the mental or financial capacity to solve the problem.

Public schools consume enormous amounts of tax money which strip away the expendable cash that these same parents could use to send their children to a private conservative school—so to undo the progressive instruction otherwise given.  This leaves parents with no options but to hold their nose and support their local public school just because it’s near their home.  Parents do not have a choice because public education is a monopoly.  They suppress competition and openly destroy the minds of individual children leaving the consumers and suppliers with no choices.  When a child complains to their parent that the public school is a bad place, the parent has only one choice but to instruct the child that life is unfair, and that they need to learn to live with their displeasure.  This begins a chain reaction that slowly begins to destroy the lives of those children from that day on.

Three years ago Doc Thompson did not have a microphone that allowed him to discuss public education to such a degree as he has in the broadcast above.  Radio stations that employed him would have feared losing their FCC license—which further solidifies the public education government controlled monopoly.  Criticism of public education was nearly non-existent leaving millions of desperate souls to anguish over their unacknowledged fears regarding the intentions of public education.  But now, popular radio personalities like Doc Thompson are free to delve honestly into the evils of public education in several game changing broadcasts that are routine on The Blaze Radio Network.  It will take a while to change the culture of acceptance which public education has enjoyed using their monopoly to invoke on witless students the aptitude of a destructive progressive education.  But the start of such dismantling, and reinvigoration comes from the understanding that something is terribly wrong and should be corrected in order to save future generations.  A large portion of our modern youth are lost and will never recover.  They will continue to vote for politicians like Barack Obama because they have been trained in progressive statism.  Many of those same types were seen screaming after Miley Cyrus and her sexual antics on MTV that raised the eyebrows of many concerned parents.  Someday those former students will have children and life will beat their progressive educations out of them, and they will recover to some extent to live decent lives—if they are the fortunate few.  But their minds cannot be recovered fully as they were handicapped as children in public education.  However, if our society acts now, it may be possible that twenty years from now, public education and its impact on society will be greatly diminished allowing more people to rise to new emotional and intellectual heights.  At that time, the voting population will become better and vote for better representatives because the quality of their mind will be improved.

It is not enough to just proclaim the name of the problem.  Once known, it must be acted upon, and slowly over a fairly short period of time, radio broadcasts like the one Doc and Skip produced are changing minds, and forcing admissions.  Those admissions are difficult, but they are healthy.  Nobody said that doing the right things would be easy, or convenient.  But for the health of all our futures, we must do the right thing, and that is realize that public education is a corrosive endeavor that is laced with vile thoughts and teachings—which should be sanctioned from tax dollars.  Any group, even progressives should be allowed to compete equally in the battlefield of ideas, but citizens should not be forced to pay for such things with money extorted from them through taxation under force of a monopoly.  That is the greatest evil of public education, and the reason that it must be changed—options create competition and allows evil ideas like progressivism to be crushed out of existence in direct interaction with ideas which actually work.  Progressives claim that they have the superior mode of thinking, yet they can only convince others of such a claim through monopoly status by eliminating competing modes of thinking.  The first step in destroying such a tyrannical hold on the minds of our society’s youth is to destroy the monopoly that backs public education, and to introduce new ideas—ideas that are born out of the wreckage of the old—a public education system designed to put presidents like Obama into office for aims that are not American.

Now to explain a bit, “artistically” what was going on at the MTV event where Miley Cyrus was paraded about like a slut for the advancement of progressive causes.  Watching her performance I was reminded of two other events, the Janet Jackson Super Bowl stunt where she had her top ripped off to expose her breasts, then the famous kiss between Britney Spears and Madonna.   What all three women had in common was that the “public” thought of them as good girls.  Miley Cyrus and Britney Spears are graduates of the Disney Channel and were examples of nice wholesome teenage girls.  Progressive backed money was poured into entertainment, and it can make these girls do whatever the financiers’ desire like prostitutes working for an escort service.   Miley Cyrus was coached into performing the dance routine which was all very carefully designed.  Cyrus was placed on stage to rip from millions of youthful girls the innocent image of Cyrus as a Disney girl.  The dance routine was set up with the teddy bears looking not quite so innocent so to show on stage that Miley Cyrus had lost any resemblance of her youthful innocence and was no longer a little girl.  The act has been repeated for several decades now and is constructed by the same minds that stand behind Common Core education.  To understand what investors into Miley Cyrus’s record label believe, and MTV’s investment in the event, listen hard to the broadcast from Doc Thompson and his producer Skip shown above.  They have the answer.  Miley Cyrus is simply a paid spokesman for progressive causes, and she was established by an entertainment culture infused with “political progressive” money to unlock the teaching instructed to children in public schools.  Former Disney personalities are targeted because of their naturally high-profile, with foundations in family entertainment that Disney is known for.  This makes them very important in reaching the proper demographic groups with the ritual understanding of merging from childhood to adulthood through sexual practice.  Since the government profits off of misconduct through sexual recklessness, this is to their advantage.    

When people believe that Bill Gates is behind Common Core and is a good man, so Common Core must be good, consider again that Common Core computers only run on Window’s operated machines, Macintosh computers will not work.  So part of the implementation of Common Core in public schools is to support the sale of Windows operating systems over Macs.   That in itself isn’t bad, but the minds who shape the Common Core agenda for which Gates latches himself on to, in order to make a deal that will launch Microsoft driven computers into every school in America are the same minds who take the innocent greed of a young woman named Miley Cyrus and tell her that they’ll fund her record and image if she’ll dance half naked on stage with stoned looking teddy bears and sell herself to the public.  Bill Gates and Miley Cyrus think they are cleaver and astute business people taking advantage of the glories of capitalism to advance themselves.  But what they don’t see is the progressive puppet masters who have shaped the battlefield in both entertainment and education for the same intentions, to break down the traditional American family and revise the minds of youth to sexual deviancy which pushes them away from parental care and into the loving, manipulative arms of mother government, and the sinister plots of doom which were touched up in the classic novel Brave New World.   Now considering those things, listen to Doc Thompson recite the specifics of Common Core education to second and third grade students, and consider what the real intention of public education is in America.   The Miley Cyrus MTV event was the result, but the cause started in the classrooms of America’s government schools, and the plots of progressive politics that are behind nearly every single institution.

The Goodness of Being “White and Nerdy”: An untapped resource waiting to explode

Since receiving the new game X-Wing Miniatures, I have been reading the rule book extensively and mock playing several games against myself so I can understand all the different scenarios.  I find the game endlessly intriguing, and an amazing achievement.  It is fun, fast, and free in many ways that sustain the best attributes of a gaming experience.  I simply love it.  My wife with a polite jest asked me as we were logging on the other day to play Star Wars: The Old Republic as I was reading the X-Wing rule book, if we were being “White and Nerdy”—a reference to the old Weird Al Yankovic satirical song.  I told her, “absolutely, and proud of it!”  At the current moment I have a number of very key strategies in real life that are being played out and I have learned that over time, the best way for me to stay engaged and keep my mind sharp enough to deal with things on a large-scale is to give my mind a vacation while in the heat of the events.  By means of vacation I don’t mean a physical vacation which we take often enough—and costs many thousands of dollars every time we do it.  I mean a vacation that the mind enjoys, and during the year 2013 that has been The Old Republic which she and I play often.  We enjoy our short trips to the Star Wars galaxy and they are always beneficial.  But of late, I have found the new X-Wing Miniatures strategy game to be even more intriguing, and infinitely fascinating.

It can’t be missed that even though Weird Al is poking fun at nerds in his music video of “White and Nerdy” that many of the attributes exhibited in the video are good ones, intelligence, moral aptitude, social innocence, creativity among them.  And the humor of that video is that it is more or less true.  I know, and have known a lot of nerds, and they are like the people in the “White and Nerdy” video.  However since that video came out, “White and Nerdy” types have not declined in number throughout American society, but have rather increased.  To get a sample, just visit Gen Con in Indianapolis each August and meet the members of the “gaming” culture, people who enjoy strategy games to a larger extent than I do.  They are people who spend even more time playing The Old Republic than my wife and I, and they are every bit into the new Star Wars Miniatures strategy game.

Outsiders might say that the gaming industry is being driven by a desire for escapism—that many of those “gamers” would rather play Dungeons and Dragons than participate in the political process.  It is highly likely that many of the people who attended this year’s Gen Con did not vote for Mitt Romney or Barack Obama in the last election, and instead played games from Fantasy Flight around their kitchen tables.  So that demographic is being overlooked in poll counts.  These “White and Nerdy” types are not watching Fox News, CNN, or showing up for President Obama’s latest diatribes about education funding.  Most of them find the entire political process repulsive, and have elected to drop out of it all together.  They are either currant Ron Paul supporters, or future supporters of his son, Rand.  And until the political machine gives them the kind of candidate they can get excited about, they will spend their time and effort of leisure playing the kind of games sold at Gen Con.  Listen to the following broadcast about gaming from the guys at Mos Eisley Radio to get some perspective.

Playing these kinds of games is not an escape from reality in the same way that watching television is, or watching sports.  I know a lot of mainstream people who get very excited about their Fantasy Football picks or their latest score on a golf course.  The people who play games like Star Wars X-Wing Miniatures are choosing to spend their leisure time in a very thinking type of scenario.  You have to enjoy thinking to be good at a game like X-Wing Miniatures.  For me that is the grand appeal.  I simply love that game.  At 2013’s Gen Con Fantasy Flight Games who produce the X-Wing Miniatures game made a grand announcement, displaying for the first time they are taking the epic table top game and “going big” with it.  They are producing the Tantive IV corvette and the Rebel Transport in a scale that has not been seen in any strategy game.  The enthusiasm present upon that announcement can be seen in the interview below.  The prospect of playing a game that features those large ships in a strategy format is very exciting to me.  I am already planning giant matches that take up specially made tabletops taking up entire basements.  It was in reviewing these recent announcements that provoked me to read so intensely the X-Wing rule book.

Tantive IV

The Tantive IV is perhaps the most famous of all CR90 corvettes. Not only that, it is the first starship to appear in the classic Star Wars trilogy. We see it fly across the screen, racing from right to left across the bright surface of Tatooine, firing its rear lasers, until the shape of its hull is nearly lost behind the glow of its eleven ion turbine engines.

Designed for use in Cinematic Play and the new Epic tournament format, the Tantive IV miniature doesn’t match the 1/270 scale shared by those starships legal within the game’s standard tournament format. Instead, this carefully detailed and pre-painted miniature is sculpted at a relative scale that feels good on the tabletop, alongside the game’s starfighters and other huge ships. In addition to the miniature, the expansion features new missions that promote deeply thematic play experiences, whether played individually or linked into a larger campaign, and Imperial players will have their chance to try to capture this notorious Rebel blockade runner.

The Tantive IV won’t be legal for standard tournaments, but you’ll be able to bring it to battle in both the Cinematic Play and Epic tournament format. Furthermore, you’ll gain the opportunity to crew it with the indomitable Rebel hero, Leia Organa!

When the Empire launched a massive assault against the Rebellion’s Echo Base, it dealt the Rebel Alliance a tremendous blow. Still, the Rebellion’s losses could have been much greater. They were lucky to escape with the majority of their command structure intact, and the very fact the Rebellion was able to continue its liberation efforts after the battle owed much to the GR-75 medium transport and the role it played during the famous evacuation effort.

With new rules, one Rebel transport miniature, one X-wing miniature with an alternate paint scheme, and a wealth of new ship cards, upgrades, and missions, the Rebel Transport Expansion Pack allows you to recreate the drama of the Rebellion’s desperate escape from Hoth.

Like the Tantive IV, the Rebel transport is too large for standard tournament play. Smaller than the CR90 corvette, the GR-75 medium transport is nonetheless large enough to dwarf its starfighter escorts. Even though the Rebel transport is depicted at a scale that allows you to maneuver it in battle, it is still so large that it comes with multiple new damage decks to track hits against different sections of its hull.

I thoroughly enjoy the kind of people who attend Gen Con, even though they tend not to be intensely social, or politically active.  For them, playing those types of games are done for the same reason I do it, to preserve their mind in a rebellion against a society that looks down on those who are “White and Nerdy,” or otherwise, those who wish to think, and be genuinely good people.  I have seldom encountered another person who attends Gen Con regularly and spends their spare time playing games like this to be overtly “bad,” or “malicious.” They are genuinely good, as their hobby is “thinking.”  These games just give them the mechanism to do so in an entertaining format.

If games like X-Wing Miniatures were not so popular then the game would not be expanding into a large format with the new ships discussed above.  So the delight is two-fold when hearing these kinds of announcements.  First, it is nice to see creativity permeating our culture in such a positive way.  Second, it is nice to see so many people excited about it.  It is nice to see people genuinely happy about something that doesn’t involve drugs, sex, or debauchery, but does involve thinking.  The demographic of “White and Nerdy” types who love Gen Con, and share with me a passion for X-Wing are a group who at some point will become interested in what is going on in the “outside world.”  That time will come when they don’t have money for Gen Con any longer, or have the ability to stay up all night playing X-Wing or The Old Republic.  For a government addicted to statism, many of these game players use fantasy strategy to give themselves a vacation away from the types of people who are not “White and Nerdy” and are willing to avoid them to keep the peace.  But, when it comes a time that those “White and Nerdy” types can no longer enjoy their leisure time, then the ramifications will not be pleasant for the establishment. The future largest demographic growth sector is not women voters, Latinos, or even African Americans…………it is the “White and Nerdy” types who simply want to be left alone to think, but if prevented, can become the statist’s worst nightmare.    It is unwise to ignore them.  Because they are smart!  And they “think” as a hobby, something that modern politics requires people to avoid.

Mechanisms like these types of games work in tandem with difficult real life strategies because they are essentially “concept” building exercises.  As I’ve explained in these pages on previous articles, before any idea in real life can be understood, it must be held as a “concept.”  A concept is like a bowl holding water.  The bigger the bowl, the more water it holds.  If the bowl is too small, it can only hold so much water.  If a concept is too small, it cannot hold big ideas or strategies that are required to solve complicated problems.  These days, small concepts are advocated by statism so much of society does not have the ability to hold large concepts in their minds.  They cannot wrap their thoughts around them.  By playing games like X-Wing Miniatures or some other variation of strategy game the practice of “concept building” is exercised allowing a mind to hold larger ideals.  This is why these kinds of games are a tremendous benefit to the people who play them, and those who don’t are always at a tactical disadvantage.
