Lakota Told Lies To Everybody: Charts that prove teachers make WAY too much money

Of course now that there has been an election where Lakota schools by the narrowest of margins won the ability to steal money from property owners in the form of a higher taxation, the impact is manifesting and it is time to analyze the situation.  Now that we are all into the 2014 year, those taxpayers are paying the higher rate all in the name of the “children.”  Thousands and thousands of dollars were spent by Lakota to diffuse the argument that I had been making—that the employees at Lakota expected too much money which was the direct cause of the tax increase—but the media, and the pro tax addicts with their East Coast mentality of tax and spend economics cried foul and pandered to the sentiments of a parade of feminist despots writhing with guilt over their life decisions primarily constituting in putting career over family.  Since most in the professional world could relate and needed to feel good about their own situations—particularly news anchors on the main networks, and the radio people who live in fear of their spouses anti-sexual sentiment desired with their very heart and souls to believe the charade that Lakota was promoting.  Well, the facts are the facts, and I am about to present them to you.

Below is a ten-year trend compiled by the Ohio Department of Education and the Ohio Department of Taxation—along with other sources.  These trend charts show how teacher salary grew compared to resident incomes who pay the taxes over the period of 2000 to 2010, when No Lakota Levy put aside some of our personal problems with each other and joined to fight Lakota’s out-of-control spending.  This information has been presented previously in different forms, but not quite so concisely now that hindsight is 20/20.  These charts show a devastating application of greedy Lakota employees pillaging the community for which they are employed.  The salary increases at Lakota are just erroneous—and are quite clear by the evidence below.TenYearTrend461104

TenYearTrend461101TenYearTrend461102TenYearTrend461103Everyone behind the scenes knew this information—yet pro tax supporters purposely lied to the tax payers to conceal it.  Lakota lied to the tax payers.  The public relations professionals employed by Lakota lied to the tax payers.  The media lied to the tax payers, and the politicians lied to the tax payers.  They all lied because they attempted to connect out-dated arguments about real estate value, and the importance of centralized education to America’s youth to their innate—and unchecked desire to stuff their pockets with money they are clearly not worth.  I said it back then and I’ll say it again–$62,000 dollars a year is too much money to pay a glorified baby sitter—which is what most of the teachers are at Lakota.  The charts below show how bad the situation really is, as they also compare State of Ohio teacher pay averages—which are already high in my opinion—to Lakota teachers.  Lakota compared to them are off the charts high.  Have a look carefully at the data.  And if you don’t believe these charts, pull Jenni Logan aside who is the treasurer at Lakota and have her confirm them.  It’s not difficult.  If not her………..ask Roger Reynolds.  He won’t lie to you…………so ask him………go ahead media…………ask the f**king question.  I dare anyone to poke holes in this data.  Because nobody can.

During the election of 2013 most of the Cincinnati media had decided to ignore the cause of the problem which was teacher salaries and declare that it had been a long time since Lakota had been granted a tax increase and that the teachers had taken a “pay freeze” which expires during the summer of 2014.  The district at that time wanted to throw money at those teachers to keep them happy but anyone with half a mind could look at these charts and wonder why they weren’t already happy.  Lakota teachers were making quite a bit more money than even average teachers in Ohio.  Some of these teachers were the same ones who were sexting their students in class, or sexually molesting elementary kids which the media also glazed over with minimum coverage so that the illusion of teacher quality could be maintained.  Lakota teachers were making more money than the state average, and they should have been very happy about it.  But the Pulse Journal, the Cincinnati Enquirer and even my old allies at WLW radio had decided that the “poor teachers” had taken a sacrifice for the good of the community by accepting a three-year pay freeze—which only occurred because No Lakota Levy had applied illumination to these very statistics.  Now with these ODE reports, context to just how bad the situation was can be seen clearly.

If you are a tax payer in Lakota who voted for the 2013 school levy—you are clearly an idiot.  Do you see now what you signed up for?  You were scammed and are just plain stupid.  If you voted against the levy—you have been validated.  You were right and history will be on your side.  If you are upset about the money you are now paying, and are against the levy, but did not vote—now you see that you should have gotten off your ass and cast a ballot.  Because you didn’t these same teachers are about to get an even larger pay increase when the new LEA contract is negotiated in a few months.  None of the newspapers will cover this issue—the “West Chester Buzz” won’t touch it with a 100’ pole, and the nightly television news will avoid it completely because they are as complicit as the teachers in the scam.  Bill Cunningham from 700 WLW will continue to exploit the dregs of our society on his television show and hope for redemption by supporting school levies because he can’t admit to himself that he is as responsible as a typical theft who provides watch for that thief when he assists in the open looting of massive amounts of tax payer wealth into the pockets of Lakota teachers.  The charts work against every one of their collective arguments and illuminate how terribly bad they have all behaved.

Of course Lakota will grumble to each other within their palatial halls of sinister left-winged intention that Rich Hoffman is cherry picking data again—because they can’t face the notion that they are looters, scum bags and deceitful, maniacal, tax payer funded dregs upon society who contribute nearly nothing to the theater of the human race but expelling carbon dioxide into the air for trees to consume for sustenance.  My feelings about these people were molded by their continued insistence that reality is not what I am looking at—which is an insult—because I know better.  Whenever it is advocated that things are not as they appear—when I know otherwise—that person—or people, are insulting me in a way that is not forgivable.  If Lakota wanted to have a fight about the value of a teacher—that would have been a valid debate—but what they chose is to hide the information and behave in a deceitful manner—then waste even more tax money to hide the crime.  That is not forgivable, and is properly listed as a crime because the deception has led directly to the theft of personal wealth—mine and yours.  And that is not something to take lightly over tea and cookies.

Check the reference links mentioned to validate the information on the charts.

http://www.compareohioschools.org/uploads/TenYearTrend46110.pdf

The reason they told so many lies, Lakota, the media, the public relations people, the unions, and the pundits is because they said that the tax increase was “for the children.”  What they neglected to declare was that the real reason was to pad their pockets with voluminous amounts of money–and they USED the children to do it.   The proof is above.

Overmanwarrior’s Wisdom: A philosophy forged by the bullwhip

I remember the classes I took in my twenties at the Cincinnati cable access station learning how to edit video tape with all the style and flair of a nightly news broadcast.  The editing room had dual tape feeders and a massive mixing board which made me feel like the power of my imagination was the only limit in communicating whatever I had on my mind.  But there was a limit—you had to book the room by the hour—which was a real pain in the butt.  I used that video room to help out the Ross Perot campaign, and the movement that came directly after called the Reform Party.  Over the years that work has gotten lost in the thousands of home videos that I have of my family, and they certainly aren’t floating around on the internet because it hadn’t been invented yet—at least on the scale that we know it today.  So I can state accurately that one of the greatest freedoms of our modern age is the ability to take that room full of complicated million dollar equipment and compress it down to the size of an iPad—and make it dramatically better.  That is the age we are in.  The imagination is the only real limit as much as government would like to think otherwise.  We have all the power in the world to communicate whatever we want to whomever we want at any time of the day or night.  With that said, I thought it was time to do an actual ad for this blog site of Overmanwarrior’s Wisdom celebrating the heart of it—where it was born—in my back yard practicing with bullwhips.

The philosophy that I have utilized since the Overmanwarrior’s Wisdom inception is one that is discussed in the ad—one centered around my work with bullwhips.  I have practiced for many hours over several decades with bullwhips and I always think a lot while doing it. Those thoughts translate to unique concepts and strategies in dealing with complicated problems and have helped me do things that seemed impossible to other people.  I have attempted to teach executives how to run their businesses better with bullwhip classes so that they could understand what I do—that the whip is a minimalist effort exerted with great force—which is how business strategy should be conducted.  Too many of these businessmen are concerned about their organization charts instead of the task of executing strategies and team building with those who can help them.   The bullwhip is a lesson in how to take a small amount of force and turn it into something that can cut a pop can in two with just string and leather.  The same force can be applied to the neck of a villain opening the arteries of the neck wide open and killing a man within seconds.  Most people, particularly government try to implement strategy the way a gun works—with great force discharged up front—which quickly dissipates the further way the bullet gets from the muzzle.  This is bad, especially with large organizations.  By the time an intention is expressed, the velocity of that intention gets lost down the organizational chart until the force applied is next to nothing by the time it reaches its target.  This is primarily why large companies like General Motors or the Federal Government fail when large bureaucracies stand between their intended strategies and the target of their implementation.

I have learned through the bullwhip that a small force applied in the right way can turn into a mammoth force by the time it reaches its target because of the tapered design.  The limits are that you are restricted to a close range, but for a melee weapon it is far superior to a club, a knife, or a sword as the reach is greater, and the force applied is much less—and far more flexible.  When wielding two whips at the same time there is no group of people who will be able to close around me with just their bare hands or melee weapons. Firearms are a bit trickier, but not all that difficult to thwart, easier than it might be thought otherwise.  But these are the results of three decades of whip work.  I have tried to teach people how to apply these tactics to their everyday lives but mostly—if they don’t learn to master a bullwhip—the lessons are lost to them.

Needless to say that I do apply these lessons to my life—many cannot understand how I do so much—at so many levels–because they don’t understand the bullwhip.  Overmanwarrior’s Wisdom is just one of my daily tasks and the reason behind this site is very similar to using a bullwhip in a combat situation.  I have witnessed the need to accomplish mammoth tasks on the liberty front—but applying a strategy to those tasks cannot be done properly using weapons of diminishing marginal return—where great effort is applied at the start, but it is greatly reduced by the time it reaches its target.  I know people who have spent their entire lives on the liberty front fighting the good fight only to be continuously swept away by the big waves of machine politics, so I had to approach the problem differently.  I think it is quite clear now after four years of Overmanwarrior’s Wisdom what I have been up to.  Go back and read the newspapers anywhere in the country and read the union talking points and compare them to today.  I have not given a rat’s ass about reaching the masses—the everyday Joe’s and Mary’s.  My targets have been very specific and the force of that momentum has had a great influence on the media, on radio conversation, on television, on the arts—and in politics.  Now I haven’t been the only one—a lot of people have chipped away at that former power structure—but my job has been a support role to those troops on the ground while also striking at targeted cuts out there in the hidden areas—behind the curtain.

It was not an accident when I went on Doc Thompson’s radio show years ago and dared President Obama to put me on his insurgent list.  I knew in doing it that The White House would read Overmanwarrior’s Wisdom every day to see if I was a threat.  In reading every day, they are learning things whether or not they wish to.  It forces their hands to learn what others are learning and takes them away from their game—just a bit.  By seeing this action, others also dare to be so bold—and they add in mass a force sometimes more diligently applied overwhelming our foes.  It is kind of a anti-Saul Alisnky—which is a very good thing.

The work at Lakota displayed on this site has forced a change in public education in general.  That school wasted many hundreds of thousands of dollars fighting me to prevent the truth—and people have witnessed it.  Currently Lakota is pinned down heavily.  They know that anything they do will be heavily scrutinized here at Overmanwarrior’s Wisdom so they are very, very careful.  This keeps them in check enormously.  I don’t mind revealing that strategy now—because it is already too late.  The next part of the strategy is already underway—and they can’t stop that either–and they know it.  This has changed the dialogue in Columbus as many thousands of important people have learned about other education reformers through Overmanwarrior’s Wisdom.  In many ways those people put a lot more work into the effort than I do—most are committed to the task day and night—but the media has excluded them from the discussion and few people know about their web sites because they are blacklisted in the newspapers.  I am very proud to have changed that dialogue.

Glenn Beck is doing some of the best work in the country right now with The Blaze—but being a completely online network it is being shunned by the media.  Sites like Overmanwarrior’s Wisdom, Freedomworks, and other outlets have helped that network get off the ground to what is now a powerhouse of information.  I would call that strategy the way of the “whip,” a minimum up-front force applied to get explosive back-end results.

So it’s time to give Overmanwarrior’s Wisdom a bit of the credit it deserves not just as a work by me which started in my back yard, but for the very subtle path that it has paved behind the curtain the last couple of years.  There are now more sites like it doing the same work and the effect is compounding nicely—just like how a bullwhip strikes a target.  So given the tool availability that is out there so readily available now as opposed to back in the Reform Party days, it’s time to use them for “maximum” effect.  And with that—I hope you enjoyed the first official ad for Overmanwarrior’s Wisdom and the intention I have to unfurl a strategy that has been coiled up for far too long—until just the right moment.  That moment is now………………………………………..

The Mist of an American Republic: Emperor Obama’s State of the Union

The State of the Union speech was such a comedy this year—increasingly made so incrementally over time—that there was very little of it that I took seriously.  The most comic parts of it are when for the whole previous year both political sides yapped negatively about each other with much rhetoric and fanfare—yet when the president arrived all those idiots from both sides lined up to shake his hand and get his autograph.  When Obama finally arrived at the podium to stand in front of vice president Biden and Speaker of the House John Boehner, everyone shook hands politely and with great respect before Obama basically announced himself Emperor of America.  It was hilarious because the politicians were all talk spewing forth criticisms like a Pro Wrestler.  But behind the scenes, which is what the State of the Union is really all about—they are friends.  They are all on the same team.  They are all part of the Washington D.C. beltway and are divorced from the reality of the main streets of America.  They are power-hungry, unethical, and more or less scum bags.  Out of all the coverage I heard about the State of the Union, only The Blaze Radio Network articulated my feelings accurately.  Listen to Doc Thompson’s hilarious broadcast covering the day after the State of the Union Address.  It’s well worth the time.  Grab a snack, turn off the television, and turn this broadcast on in the background and enjoy the next couple of hours.

Glenn Beck, who runs The Blaze had even more fun to share about his impressions of the State of the Union.  I’m not the only one who makes frequent comparisons to the fictional film Star Wars these days—Beck saw much what I did in Obama’s speech.  Obama might as well have been Emperor Palpatine from the Star Wars series.  I remember when the film Revenge of the Sith hit theaters, many film critics from the left thought that the primary saga villain reflected George W. Bush’s constant lusting to start wars so to fill the pockets of Halliburton.  That president was the one who brought us The Department of Homeland Security, and paved the way for all the NSA abuses we see today.  But Obama far surpassed Bush with his 2014 State of the Union speech which was almost word for word what was said by Palpatine in Revenge of the Sith.  Obama surely wasn’t even intending to copy the Star Wars villain—yet he did regardless.  Obama’s power grab was driven by human innate desire—the desire to acquire power, and isn’t specific to Obama—but the people who put Obama in power.  That was the point of the Star Wars films, and in the case of American politics on both political sides, fantasy reflects reality all too well.  Watch Beck’s radio coverage on this topic.

The idiots looking for Obama’s autograph slobbering over themselves to shake the hand of the president knowing full well that the guy was planning to rule with Executive Orders paints the whole picture accurately.  These guys are scum, they are addicted to power, and they are out to hurt us all.  They aren’t legislating on behalf of the American people.  They are a joke—and they really think so little of us that they will talk bad about the president to his face playing the media angle representing their side—then they turn around and slobber all over him hoping Obama rubs up against them in the hallway so they can die happy soldiers of solidarity.

The only–and I mean, only media outlet that even attempted to cover main street USA’s American perspective was The Blaze specifically Doc Thompson and Glenn Beck.  Obama really thinks he’s a ruler—and his fellow politicians are perfectly willing to play the role.  They are selling us out—every one of them.  Every idiot who stood in line to shake the hand of an American Emperor contributed to the cause.

If I were there would I have shaken the President’s hand?  I knew you were going to ask that question dear reader…………F**K NO!  I might have politely shunned him and if he tried to force his hand into mine, I would have slapped it away.  If I were invited to The White House under this president, I would not go—under any circumstances.  I certainly would not stand in line to “touch” the dude.

This folly is not the fault of President Obama.  It is a failure of the human condition, the desire to be led about and ruled which comes to us from the distant past when mankind was ruled over by a village chief who designated who made fires, who hunted for food, who had babies and when, and who would be sacrificed to the sun in order to keep it burning in the sky.  One would hope that after several hundred thousand years of evolution the human being would have migrated away from such primitive thinking—but we haven’t.  The slack-jawed idiots of Congress, the wishy-washy Senator, and the many guests drooling from the gallery were mostly enamored by the grace of America’s symbol of an Emperor—the one who rules them all. Very, very few of the people present were there to defend the Republic of America.  Those who have defended America have been label radicals, nut-cases, and right-winged extremists by those who desire to look at Obama as the embodiment of an American Emperor.

Even Bill O’Reilly from Fox News is ga-ga over Obama.  He’s actually proud that he is conducting the pre-Superbowl interview with Emperor Obama.  Over the last couple of weeks O’Reilly came out in favor of Obama’s minimum wage increase of $10.10 an hour.  That should make the pre-interview handshake more pleasant between O’Reilly and Obama.  Both guys are wealthy beyond comprehension and are clearly out of touch.  O’Reilly doesn’t care where the money comes from for the small business person.  He doesn’t care that all the many workers who were making $10 an hour previously will suddenly want $12 and $13 an hour for the same work because now the minimum wage is $10 driving up all wages with inflationary value all over the country.  He’s just another sell-out.   I still watch him—occasionally he does some good reporting–about as good as any media outlet in the mainstream does these days, but he’s still too far to the left for me.

The White House is just a building with a bunch of bricks in it. I’ve been there and was not impressed.  It is a symbol of an American Republic that no longer exists—it is a ghost of its former self and looters like Obama and most of the modern-day politicians are simply using that ghost to advance their lust for power.  The White House is not sacred, it is not magical, and it is not enchanting.  It is just a building and the people in it are flawed human beings corrupted by the imperfections of the flesh.  They are small minded—lackluster collectivists weakened by an evolution of mankind which started in villages and is still functioning from those primal yearnings.  The same dust-covered tribes of hunters and gatherers who spent all their waking moments trying to appease the king or chieftain sacrificing goats to the gods of the sun and moon are the same damn fools standing in the aisle of Congress wanting to shake the hand of a puppet in Obama.  The whole event was just a ceremony designed to make human beings feel “safe.”  To know that their place in the universe is protected by some symbol of authority—in this case it’s Obama.  In the past it was Bush, Clinton, and Reagan.  In the future it will be more watered down feel-good candidates even more useless and ceremonial as human evolution regresses further year by year until the whole thing collapses.

The humor of the situation is the declaration of dictatorship that completely went over the heads of all present—except those with a mind to notice.  It was for me the funniest State of the Union yet.  It was like watching Hulk Hogan standing in the center of a ring challenging all comers to a battle to the death—but knowing that off the stage, all the participants were making plans to go out to dinner and roll in the wealth of their falsehoods.  Taken in that context, the entire event was quite funny—and entertaining—where it used to be just sad.  There was no sadness this time—because I no longer even take it serious.  It’s just entertainment by actors who aren’t even good—just cheesy marionettes of global interest.

Thank goodness yet again for The Blaze and blog sites who covered the situation for what it really was……………a travesty of justice cowering in the ghost-like mist of an American Republic.

Payton Manning’s Remarkable Comeback Story: Why the FDA is against stem cell research

For the Superbowl this year, even though I like and admire both teams, the defense of the Seattle Seahawks, and the offense of Payton Manning on the Broncos—it is the Broncos that I will be rooting for.  During the football year of 2011, Manning was forced to sit out the entire year and watch from the booth in Indianapolis as his football career appeared to be over with a neck injury that appeared irreparable.  Yet Manning, with the same resiliency he shows in all of his football games was determined to never say die even when the odds were very much against him.  He calmly made arrangements to have his injury fixed with stem cells returning a year later to a new team with the Denver Broncos having a strong season.  The very next year, he has taken that franchise to the Superbowl—a feat they would not have achieved without him.  Payton Manning singlehandedly cared the team on his back and with leadership that is very unique.  He took a team that would otherwise be average—to the most coveted sports event of the entire year—a Superbowl.

There was a wonderful article on this stem cell procedure which I thought was of interest to my readers here at Overmanwarrior’s Wisdom.  As my frequent readers know, I am very excited about the cures for cancer, the regenerative growth technology that is happening in the medical industry, and other exciting developments in stem cell research that are currently underway.  If Manning had followed the rules in The United States dictated by the FDA, Payton would have found his NFL career over two years ago.  He would not be playing in a Superbowl, and Denver would still be struggling to find an identity after their experiments with Tim Tebow.

The entirety of that article can be found at the end of this article for cross-reference but the gist of it is this–Peyton Manning, first injured his neck in a game against the Washington Redskins on October 22nd, 2006 after his helmet was ripped off by Andre Carter. Manning played relatively pain-free the next few years but reinjured the neck in 2010 and soon found himself without his characteristic arm strength. Ultimately, Manning decided to go under the knife in May of 2011 to have surgery on a herniated disk that was thought to cause the pain and weakness. In the weeks following the operation, the NFL’s most marketable player appeared to be on the road to recovery1 but he suffered another setback in the summer of 2011 necessitating a second, far more serious operation: cervical spinal fusion.2 But before he had the procedure, Peyton Manning did something truly bizarre.

Shortly before the spinal fusion, Manning travelled to Europe to have stem cells harvested from his fat tissue so they could be injected into his injured neck. Upon learning of this unusual procedure, I had two questions: 1) Why did he do this? and 2) Why was it done in Europe?

Stem cells are those undifferentiated cells that, like Daniel Day-Lewis, can seemingly turn into anything. They can be harvested from bone marrow, the umbilical cord, blood, or fat tissue – plucking them from fat happens to be technically easy and relatively painless – and through the secretion of growth factors can aid in cartilage and bone regeneration. There’s no definitive evidence that stem cell injections actually work for the kind of neck injury Peyton Manning had, so when it was leaked that the quarterback had undergone the procedure, there were more than a few skeptics.

A professor of bioethics at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine called Manning’s decision “an act of desperation” and Dr. Lawrence Goldstein, director of the stem cell program at the University of California, San Diego said, “It is impossible to know whether the ‘treatment’ will make Manning better or worse or merely financially poorer.”

Well, at age 37, Peyton Manning just had the best season for a quarterback in the history of the NFL. But was it because of the stem cells or in spite of them or unrelated entirely? It’s still unclear. Proponents of the procedure call Manning a poster child for stem cell therapy, while critics say he required a subsequent neck operation precisely because the stem cells didn’t work. (Manning has not commented.) While that argument plays out, a more interesting question remains: Why did Manning have to go to Europe for the procedure? The answer has to do with the FDA and how one defines risk.

A patient can either be consented individually (by signing a form, typically) for a medical procedure—like neck surgery—or exposed to an unconsented risk where regulatory assurances are already in place, like the FDA ensuring that your painkiller is potent, safe, and pure. But where do stem cell injections fall on the consent/risk spectrum? Is the injection of your own cells more like having a surgical procedure or more like taking a drug? Because there is no mass production or distribution involved, many doctors think the risk of stem cell injections is more like having surgery; it can only be estimated by the clinician who is providing the therapy, and it is up to the patient to weigh and ultimately accept the risk and provide consent. The FDA disagreed with this line or reasoning and in 2006 ruled that a patient’s own cells should be subject to the same regulation as mass-produced drugs. Peyton’s stem cells were essentially no different from a medication you’d pick up at the pharmacy.

The outcry from medical organizations was swift, and included critical statements from the American Red Cross and the American Society of Clinical Oncology, which objected, “in the strongest terms to FDA’s proposed regulation of stem cell transplants. This misguided proposal is unnecessary…and exceeds FDA’s legal authority…stem cell transplants are medical procedures. Their use is the practice of medicine, not the manufacturing of a drug as FDA asserts.”

The FDA’s ruling meant Peyton’s own stem cells fell under the purview of the FDA and were suddenly wrapped in red tape. To avoid any possible bureaucratic delay, he simply went to Europe to have the procedure done there. Manning didn’t have time to wait for the FDA or more testing of the procedure, he needed to get back on the field before he was too old. Now the presumptive MVP may be headed for the Super Bowl after a record-setting season. Was it because of the stem cells? Who knows, but the likelihood is that many more people—not just pro athletes, but weekend warriors—will be wanting to go to Europe to have this done, and Peyton won’t just be the face of junk pizza and DirecTV, but of an unproven medical procedure and skirting FDA regulation abroad.

http://regressing.deadspin.com/what-the-hell-did-peyton-manning-inject-into-his-neck-1502352128

The American government is killing people because of their intense regulations and causing many millions of others to be ill when they don’t need to be.  The Peyton Manning story should be a lesson to us all of what kind of medical potential exists, but aren’t options because they threaten the power of the pharmaceutical lobby.  As the world watches Peyton Manning in the Superbowl finalize a 2013 season remember that Manning would not be able to play that game if he had followed the recommendations of the American government and the ridiculous rules of the FDA.  Look at your own aches and pains and remember the loved ones who painfully left your life through death and illness and answer your own question………………………..why?

The answer is because the FDA wants people sick—so they can stay relevant and keep everyone buying drugs at a pharmacy protecting the drug companies.  The option of stem cell research threatens those drug companies by making it so that people could be healthy, instead of always sick.  There is more money to be made off sick people than healthy ones.

For all those reasons……………….I am rooting for Payton Manning…………….one more time.

BATKID Saves the Day: The power of fantasy, mythology, and hope to cure illness

I have heard for as long as I’ve interacted with people how my enjoyment of fantasy is an escape from reality brought upon by a desire to not deal with the facts of circumstance.  People who desire that the earth is only 4000 years old because thinking outside of those parameters wrecks the foundations of their very lives—do not like things that rock their boat of perceived reality.  They are often content to view the world as it has been prepared for them by politics, public relation firms, and religion—and react with disdain toward those who wish to think outside of those boundaries.  I find such people grotesquely ignorant, small-minded, and foolishly reckless to not only their lives, but those who they come in contact with.  The older I get, the more I despise those people.  They are detriments to intelligence.  Fantasy is the vehicle to take the mind out of circumstance and into places where new ideas are born.  In the context of intelligence the need for fantasy, imagination, and out-of-boundary thought is the specific human need for mythology.  Dogs, cats and gold-fish have no need for mythology—they are driven by the basic need to eat, dispose of their waste, and reproduce.  Nothing else.  The human being thinks—giving mythology a much more important role to their vivid imaginations bringing logic and fantasy together to consider “what if.”  This important process was never so brilliantly exhibited than in the Make-A-Wish Foundation story of 5-year-old Miles Scott who is currently in remission from leukemia.  Watch this!

It would be difficult to be alive and not have heard this story as the media blitz on it was ferocious.  The other day during the interview I did with Matt Clark on WAAM radio, I brought up the kind of things that unify people who appear to be radically different.  We talked about the “Tapestries of Ideology” and once they are removed from their lives, common ground can be achieved.  One of the most powerful “Tapestries of Ideology” is the power of mythology to overcome the ignorance of political boundaries.  This is often what happens in a Star Wars movie where I find I have as much enthusiasm for George Lucas’ creations as Arianna Huffington does.  She is a radical progressive, I am a staunch conservative—but we both love Star Wars for many of the same reasons.  We both love the plight of the rebellion against an evil empire.   She envisions that government should be the way that fairness is given to human kind, and I see it as the destroyer of mankind.  That is where the tapestries of ideology come into play where the color, shape, size and all other factors that go into those ornaments are shaped by society, education, and history.   But the mythology of Star Wars has the power to extend beyond those tapestries to the actual truth—which is why I always emphasis the importance of mythology in society.  It is far more important than politics, or reality as it is shaped by orthodox sources like The New York Times, The Cincinnati Enquirer, or the nightly local news.

As much as I despise President Obama, I shared with the guy a love for little Miles Scott.  As much as I think San Francisco is a haven for progressivism, I loved that much of the city turned out to help make Miles Scott’s wish to become a superhero into a reality.  Because of the little fellow’s intense desire to be a superhero like the mythical Batman—this is where fantasy can take the mind out of the grim reality of a situation to take mankind to a higher place.  Reality says to this child that he has leukemia and that he will die.  Mythology says to this child, there is hope if you can become a superhero—so the survival instinct of Miles Scott chose life over death—and to fight instead of accepting his fate.

Thank God for the Make-A-Wish Foundation showing an interest in this child.  But more than that, thank God the politicians of San Francisco joined in the effort with an army of similar volunteers.  I have never seen such a fine example of the power of myth applied to reality.  Out of all the characters that Christian Bale will ever play, none will be more important than his Batman character because none will ever obtain the ability to pull a city like San Francisco together the way that mythology did.  It started with the fantasy of Batman and his ability to overcome personal issues to fight crime in the actual comic.  Then Miles using that mythology to ask the question “what if.”  Then it took the Make-A-Wish Foundation to give the kid a chance at his dream while he is still healthy and alive—before leukemia attacks him again.  Then it took normal every day people to help make that fantasy into a reality for little Miles.  But in this case, Miles Scott was the focus—the reason for the event, and in a metaphorical way, he saved not just San Francisco—but the entire nation.

Make-A-Wish does this kind of thing all the time.  They are a great organization.   Recently they made a child in Anaheim Batman’s sidekick Robin and a Seattle child a secret agent.  But before they can organize such things Make-A-Wish needs creative people to plant the seed of hope into the mind of a child so that something greater than their circumstance can be comprehended—so that they can make a wish.  This is why superheros, comic books, fantastic movies, and big ideas expressed creatively are so important to us all.  For many kids not suffering the way that Miles Scott is, the same power holds for them as well.  Superheros like Batman are good for the healthy as well as the sick and give hope where reality provided none.

The reason I get so damn mad at those who proclaim that fantasy is an escape from reality is that they are essentially saying that the world would be better off without these influences.   They believe that reality was shaped by the politics of the Greeks and solidified by religion 2000 years ago—and that is just stupid.  Those periods were just small steps in human progress toward creating a mythology that pushed up against the limits of reality to seek something more than the world currently provides.  In the case of Miles Scott and the massive world-wide fanfare that ensued from his desire to be Batkid for a day, somewhere a scientist determined that nobody should suffer death by leukemia.  Likely long after Batkid has come and gone from this earth, there will be a cure that was inspired by Miles Scott’s Make-A-Wish dream and the saving of lives won’t just be a fantasy played out on the city streets of San Francisco.  It will become a new reality—inspired by fantasy and a new ceiling of human limitation will be revealed—and we will all be better off for it.

That is the power of myth, and the beauty of defying reality through fantasy.  Miles Scott saved society for a day by removing the “tapestries of ideology” which divide us all, and put the question on the table—why, and how can “I” fix it?

That! Is Christopher Nolan’s next film……………………..and I will be going to see it!

Doc Thompson’s First Year On The Blaze: Lunch at Skip’s

I have never felt so bad for a person as I did for Doc Thompson while on his long-planned honeymoon when he was fired from 700 WLW radio.  The station wanted to make room for Eddie Fingers and Doc threatened the target market of Willie, and Cunningham had more leverage at the company.  Darryl Parks who hired Doc was on his way out after taking a corporate job at Clear Channel where he found himself also terminated a year later.  My involvement with WLW deteriorated quickly after Doc’s exit.  They sort of put on the table for me to fill the radio role of a villain/sexist as an on air personality, but I had no desire to play along with that Chuck Fredrick strategy.  My radio role was the Tax Killer as molded by Darryl Parks and put into play by Doc Thompson and I believed it with all my heart and sole, unlike the other radio characters at WLW who mostly put on an act for their audience.  I had no desire to become the Andy Furman of the air waves, or Carmine Guzman.  So after Doc’s exit I quickly lost interest in the station.  I had other things I could do in life so not appearing on WLW wouldn’t be a big deal to me—but for Doc, it was his life.  He lives, breaths, eats, drinks, and thinks talk radio 24 hours a day 7 days a week.  For him, I knew the termination at 700 WLW hurt and as brave of a voice as he tried to apply to the situation when he spoke to me about it on the phone—I could tell how much pain it brought him.  I felt terrible about it and was very resentful of WLW.  I tried to maintain business etiquette, but they were much diminished in my eyes.

Doc Thompson now works directly for Glenn Beck and has recently just completed his first year on The Blaze Radio Network.  Doc reminisced a bit about this experience celebrating his first year with his producer Skip LeCombe.  Glenn had joked with Doc about going to Skip’s for lunch.  The joke was in the context of when WLW fired Doc by inviting him to a Skip’s Deli for lunch to break the bad news.  Beck was poking fun with Doc and Skip—but in reality after their first year—it was the opposite situation from what was experienced at WLW.  Over the last year, Doc and Skip have traveled all over the United States and given hundreds of personal speeches to crowds of people on behalf of The Blaze making Doc’s new boss—Glenn Beck—very, very happy.  The Blaze Radio has grown tremendously and Doc Thompson has been a big reason why.  Have a listen:

Several months after the termination of Doc from WLW he had taken a job in Detroit, but that station was changing direction to an all sports channel leaving Doc and Skip on the out again.  Laura Ingram had announced that she was giving up her syndication show, and Doc positioned himself to fill that spot—but it wasn’t going well.  On the day after Thanksgiving in 2012 Doc hosted as a fill in for Glenn Beck and after he got off the air he called me to vent a bit.  I was taking my daughter out to lunch that day but we took some time to talk with Doc as I felt badly for him yet again the bad luck hovering behind him like an evil specter.  The job options for a guy like him were slim.  Stations were steering away from hard conservatives and libertarians as the FCC was applying indirect pressure to diversify the airwaves with more progressive personalities.  The job market for a guy like Doc was slim—really slim.

Doc wanted a syndication show and there wasn’t really a path to get there.  A month after that phone call, Glenn Beck offered Doc Thompson the chance of a life time—a chance to run the prime time spot of 6 AM to 9 AM on a new radio station called The Blaze Radio which would be internet based capitalizing on the new web-based media productions that could be experienced with mobile devices, podcasts, and satellite radio.  Doc would be the lead-in to Glenn Beck himself who has daily listeners in the millions—so this was the chance Doc had really been working for his entire life.

Now, a year later The Blaze has become a trusted news source for millions of people, and Doc has been at the helm.  Glenn Beck as Doc mentioned in his broadcast could have taken his hundreds of millions of dollars and sat on all that money for the rest of his life living comfortably.  But, instead, he has extended himself out to this freedom fight creating The Blaze for people who do not like the direction of the current United States.  Because of Glenn Beck, a person like Doc and Skip have a place to work—which is a market that is shrinking rapidly as machine politics is working behind the scenes to shut down any opposition to their way of thinking.  Glenn Beck with Doc Thompson has shown once again why he is so far out in front of the curve—The Blaze is now being picked up not just all over the world on iHeart Radio and Pandora, but conventional stations who are putting it into syndication.

Doc has a radio style that is the opposite of Howard Stern.  Both hosts are funny, and fought their way through multiple hardships to overcome tremendous opposition against them.  Both are very tall, and exceptionally intelligent.  But Doc is squeaky clean and very, very funny while Stern has resorted to pubescent jokes and shock jock material to advance himself.  Doc is to the radio world one of the best voices of liberty that there is—and it’s not an act—he is 100% authentic to his beliefs.  What he states on the air, he believes with his very soul—and that makes him a very sincere and genuine person that is quite exceptional.

I am proud of Doc and Skip for their willingness to fight it out the way they did.  I am proud of Glenn Beck for taking a chance on Doc, and I am proud off all the millions of people who have turned off traditional radio and turned on The Blaze.  That decision alone has forced traditional radio to grudgingly seek syndication of Doc and Skip’s show for the kind of content that radio listeners actually want—not the kind of crap the FCC wants to ram down people’s throats.  The kind of radio that WLW indicated to Doc that they were going to give to the world when they fired him at Skip’s Deli has turned out to be just another sports station with dying hosts barely shadowing their former self.  With the devastating news after an otherwise wonderful honeymoon and a chance to begin a life anew WLW did Doc and the world a great favor.  Doc could have rolled over and let the world crush him—but he didn’t—even in the darkest moments of his life—a period where he called me on the phone after concluding a fill-in for Glenn Beck the day after Thanksgiving where he would have been justified at being angry with the world—he didn’t give up.  It is that kind of resiliency that is taking The Blaze Radio Network to new levels of entertainment and professionalism changing forever the nature of radio entertainment.  It has been a good year—and the start of something truly special that will go down in history as a pinnacle moment for the human race.

Harvey Weinstein’s Stupid Anti-NRA Film: Why ‘Expendables 3’ will destroy Meryl Streep

When Harvey Weinstein promised to make a movie with Meryl Streep going after the National Rifle Association, he declared war against middle America. His statements were a simple declaration that many already knew—that Hollywood is teeming with parasitic liberals hell-bent on a destructive progressive agenda.  For such a prominent producer and actress to make such a bold statement is to declare their alliance with collectivism and the breath of evil which has blown it along through the ages.  So I look forward to Meryl’s anti-gun movie—because I’ll make a bet with the liberal Hollywood elite—I bet as of January 2014 that the Sylvester Stallone film Expendables 3 will out gross Streep’s anti-NRA film by over $700 dollars per screen in every market outside of New York and Los Angeles.  I will also bet that Stallone’s film will top $300 million at the box office while Streep will be lucky to break $100 million. So go ahead Harvey—make your silly NRA movie and watch all the people who will go see Expendables 3 instead.  The bottom line in the movie world is that middle America decides if films are hits or successes—and in that region—they love their guns and they hate big government.  Expendables 3 will do more for the sale of guns than Weinstein’s picture will do against them—and the liberal Hollywood machine will be left scratching their heads.  Their premier actress Meryl Streep will be out grossed by a bunch of retired action stars from the 1980s—and they’ll do it spectacularly.  Critics will pan the film with negative reviews, entertainment web-sites and television broadcasts will declare the Expendables 3 has bad production values and glorifies guns and killing—but it won’t matter.  Expendables 3 will top $300 million at the box office when it hits theaters this upcoming August—place your bets now.  And Harvey’s film will barely make its money back from the production costs.

http://www.usnews.com/opinion/blogs/peter-roff/2014/01/21/harvey-weinsteins-anti-nra-movie-continues-hollywoods-gun-control-obsession

My son-in-law had been raving about how good Expendables 2 was, and even as he was declaring it—I had my doubts.  I enjoyed the first one, but certainly didn’t go out of my way to see the second one at theaters.  Growing up in the 80s I sort of take it for granted that movies like the Expendable films get made—as they used to come out every couple of months in America during the Reagan presidency.  I truly enjoyed seeing all those great action stars again in Jason Stratham, Jet Li, Sylvester Stallone, Chuck Norris, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Bruce Willis, and Arnold Schwarzenegger all in the same movie kicking absolute ass during the entire duration of the plot.  I didn’t think I’d enjoy it as much as a film like 2013’s Man of Steel, Iron Man 3 or The Hobbit.  But he did convince me recently to watch the movie with him and I’m glad he did.

Expendables 2 was wonderfully testosterone filled without apology.  It was uncompromisingly manly—and for that I was grateful.  I have not laughed so hard genuinely in a long time as I did when Arnold Schwarzenegger ripped the door off a Smart Car that Bruce Willis was driving and declared that he has shoes bigger than the car—all while mowing down bad guys with machine guns.  It was a wonderfully fun movie and it was just pleasurable to see a movie with all those actors known for their tough guy rolls in the same movie.  It was a movie made for the core of America from the rural areas of Pennsylvania to the recluse mobile home dwellers in the Nevada Mountains.  Santa Monica, California might look down their nose at all these old action stars mindlessly killing thousands of people centering around a ridiculous mercenary plot—and New York career climbers would find all the activity repulsive—but everyone else in America loves it.  Expendables 2 is an American movie made for American men.  End of story.  It is a film meant to be watched by men while the women cook in the kitchen during Holiday events gossiping about other family members who aren’t present.  In such times men have very little to do—they usually watch football as grown men run into each other as hard as they can, or they watch movies like Expendables 2.  It is a fun movie that is not afraid to touch the heart of a testosterone driven entity.  Women might complain about that testosterone when its inconvenient to them—but in the bedroom they want it.  Expendables 2 is likely to improve the love lives of many women, so they shouldn’t complain.

As for Harvey Weinstein he’s built his career producing movies that exploit violence and guns—films like Pulp Fiction, True Romance, Grindhouse, Sin City, the Kill Bill movies, Rambo, Django Unchained along with many others.  He also has made several sexually exploitive films.  He had Madonna show her bare breasts in the 1991 film Truth or Dare, and had Nichole Kidman very; very naked in Cold Mountain, which likely ruined her career.  Once people saw her in such a nude fashion in that movie after the film Eyes Wide Shut, there was nothing left to desire in Nichole.  Everyone had seen everything and Nichole was officially old news after that.  Here is Harvey’s film resume:

Executive producer

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harvey_Weinstein

Because of his Academy Awards he falsely believes that he’s a “serious” filmmaker.  But what he’s done is use action films exploiting massive amounts of violence—some of the most violent movies ever made—and turned those profits into progressive agenda films—like Silver Linings Playbook, Zack and Miri Make a Porno, and Chicago.  He is the opposite of someone like Walt Disney who took his profits from animated films to crusade for traditional values. Harvey exploited violence, sex, and over-the-top action to fund progressive films—which never make much money. So now, Harvey thinks he’s the king of Hollywood and that he can command Meryl Streep to make a film that will sink the NRA.  Well, good luck, Harvey.  Your Hollywood friends might like a film like that—but while the women are gabbing in the kitchen during Holidays cooking dinner as they are prone to do—the men won’t be popping in a DVD of your upcoming stupid anti-NRA film.  They’ll put in Expendables 2, and in the future Expendables 3, and if Stallone gets his way, Clint Eastwood will be in Expendables 4 taking the director’s chair and appearing in the film.  I’d pay damn good money to watch Clint Eastwood as an 86-year-old man blasting bad guys with a .500 magnum over one of Harvey’s pictures like Zack and Miri.

So have at it Harvey—take my bet.  Your movie with Meryl Streep will be grossly out performed by Expendables 3 which will add to the cast mentioned above Harrison Ford, Antonia Banderias, and Mel Gibson.  In addition, ten years from now where men have the option to watch all the Expendables movies or the latest anti-gun film from the Weinstein Company what do you think they’ll pick. Even with all of Hollywood’s efforts to make women “equal” or enlightened, they’ll still be in the kitchen cooking dinners for their men and talking about those men’s mothers—and the men will be looking for violent entertainment that features guns—guns, and more GUNS!  And there isn’t a damn thing anybody can do about it. It’s the way God made all of us, and that is the way it will always be even 2000 years from now long after progressivism has fallen off the radar as a failure in social engineering long forgotten—like all of Harvey’s non-violent progressive films—such as Chicago and his upcoming film with Meryl Streep dead before it is ever made.

I am Han Solo: The ‘Star Wars’ personality test

I’m Han Solo—at least that’s what the new Star Wars personality test told me when I took it.  A friend of mine told me that The Blaze did a story on a new Star Wars personality test by www.Zimbio.com which was actually more sophisticated than I thought it would be.  The questions are involved and pretty good about bringing to the surface the raw nature of a person’s personality as related to the Star Wars film series.  For instance, while taking the test I thought I’d come out as Obi-Wan Kenobi—whom I personally admire for his love of wisdom and the philosophic chess matches he tends to play on a galactic scale.  But Han Solo has always been my favorite character and that trait emerged during the test even though I was consciously aware of avoiding it.  So it was a pretty neat test.  At the end of The Blaze article linked below it was revealed that most of the staff at The Blaze including Glenn Beck, Doc Thompson and Skip LeCombe had taken the test and were enthusiastic about their results which they promised to cover on air.  I thought this remarkable because it provides insight to all that I have been saying lately about the cultural impact of Star Wars and the future of our society.  There are few things which can unite minds quicker than Star Wars does in discussions with other people and it’s not just nerds anymore—but mainstream acceptance.  NFL football used to be that topic item breaker that anybody could discuss with any other person in business or other affairs, but quickly Star Wars is overtaking it.  It’s hard to find someone who doesn’t know about Star Wars who is under 55 years old and doesn’t have an opinion about the film series.

http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2014/01/18/are-you-a-yoda-luke-skywalker-or-maybe-a-princess-leia-take-the-star-wars-personality-test/

I took the test while on the road at my sister-in-law’s house with many family members present so we all took the test and had a good time with the results.  I was surprised how many of them came back as Yoda, and the young men who took it mostly came back as Boba Fett—which was remarkably accurate.  There were no Darth Vader’s in our group which says a lot about the quality of our family.  That much didn’t surprise me—but the number of Yodas did—my wife included.  It could not be ignored how many of our family members instantly understood what the test was and the intent which reflected the response of The Blaze staff.  Star Wars is something that touches just about everyone as good memories of their childhoods flood back to them upon the mention of Han Solo, Luke Skywalker or Princess Leia.

I remember what it was like to be a kid in the late 70s and early 80s.  Star Wars was everywhere—it was on the radio, it was at the stores, it was on television, it was in comics, magazines—it defined popular culture from about 1977 to 1985 when it began to subside just a bit.  Even popular films like Back to the Future and ET the Extra Terrestrial made frequent Star Wars references—so it was a huge part of that 8 year period and anybody who was a child during that period knows what I’m talking about.  That doesn’t mean that everyone was an open Star Wars fan.  Many of the kids in my school made fun of kids who openly loved Star Wars—kids like me who had Star Wars notebooks, wore Star Wars t-shirts, and drew pictures on my homework papers of Star Wars space ships.  I didn’t care what other kids said, once I got past the 7th grade, I was never picked on for Star Wars again because I had so many fights at school that kids stopped trying.  The more they made fun of me the more I rubbed it in their face.  I had a Star Wars shirt for every day of the week—my favorite was a Han Solo shirt that I never got tired of wearing.  I wore it so much that it fell apart.  I developed a rivalry with another kid in Junior High school at Lakota who was a Star Trek fan and hated Star Wars.  We actually had fist fights over Star Wars and which movie was better.  It got so bad that I shoved the kid right into the principles office as he was trying to escape me after I was waiting outside his bus in the morning to catch him with a confrontation before class started.  He had previously declared during lunch period that Captain Kirk would beat Han Solo any day of the week—so I was going to teach him otherwise. I’d give him some real life Han Solo through me—and as he was running away from he thought he’d get safety inside the principles office—which he didn’t.  I took the fight straight there shocking all the other kids in the hallway and the adults alike when I grabbed hold of the Star Trek lover by the back of his shirt and threw him right into the front door with the principle and secretary standing right there.  Nobody had been so audacious before—and nobody knew what to make of it.  Nobody understood that I loved Han Solo that much because the character represented everything I wanted to become when I grew up—and calling him names was the same as calling me names—and I wasn’t going to stand for it.

My brother and I had so many Star Wars figures that we set up our basement with elaborate hand-made models featuring Star Wars toys. Every Christmas and birthday was an opportunity to increase our holdings for these gigantic Star Wars set-ups.  On Friday and Saturday nights our friends would come over and we’d build new Star Wars buildings and ships late into the night staying up until 3 and 4 AM in a world of our own making inspired by Star Wars.  My parents couldn’t afford to give me a Millennium Falcon like many of my friends had, so I built my own out of a cardboard box.  That creation was destroyed during my late teens—and I never got over it.  During the Christmas of 1995 my wife finally bought me a Millennium Falcon when Kenner re-released the old toys with minor updates in anticipation of the Special Editions to the films which occurred in 1997.  The world we created in that basement had so much reverence for me that I wanted to do little else but create my own world in the context of that one.  We had entire areas around our set-ups in the basement sectioned off with black felt to simulate the darkness of space and on the ceiling was white felt to simulate clouds.  We had our own power supply, there were floating asteroids, and epic worlds re-created to model scale.  It was the happiest place for me on earth.

I was never shy about my admissions.  Star Wars represented limitless possibilities and an escape from oppression and Han Solo was the kind of guy who was full of confidence and a never say die attitude.  He was the model of a man who I would grow up and become.  Many other kids one-on-one loved my enthusiasm, but would never admit it in the light of day.  But privately most of them felt as strongly as I did, they just didn’t show it publicly.  I carried this love into my adulthood and it never really subsided.  With my children I raised them on Star Wars, and now with the Disney acquisition of Star Wars, my grand children will benefit—and with everything I just described, the cultural impact under Disney’s guidance will far eclipse my experience.  There will be more toys, more clothing, more music, video games, posters, magazine articles-virtually everything in our society will be touched by Star Wars and a whole new generation will find solace within the story lines.  Unlike me—who had good parents who really cared and behaved in a traditional sense–kids today have broken families, step parents and lack structure as a result of progressive social engineering policies.  The strongest thing to a real family a lot of modern kids will have is the characters of Star Wars—which as sad as that may sound—is absolutely true.

The character of Han Solo was never intended to be a hero in the way he turned out.  Fans of the films were supposed to yearn for Luke Skywalker, not Han Solo, but I could never relate to Luke’s naïveté.  I wanted to grow up and become the space pirate Solo who is more like a character out of Ayn Rand’s Atlas Shrugged than any other creation ever put on-screen.  A lot of people thought this was destructive, but it has made me into an interesting adult—one who thought I’d be more like Obi-Wan Kenobi than Han Solo as more mature years are now upon me. But upon seeing the test results I was actually relieved to see that many of my core values are still intact after all these years and I can honestly say that I’ve lived my own Han Solo type of life and behaved in a very similar way when pressed.  The difference between being a young person and an old person is the experience.  People are drawn to certain types of things based on their core personality—something this Star Wars test is attempting to uncover.  When I was a kid I hoped that when faced with perilous situations that I would behave with the same valor and skill that Han Solo did in Star Wars.  Now as an adult, I no longer have any doubt.  With a string of car chases, crashes, narrow escapes, and perilous follies of virtually every type now behind me, I can rest easily now knowing I measure up to the highest hopes I had as a child.

It is for that reason that this Star Wars test is flooding office buildings and places of business with a fury.  Most of the adult population had similar hopes for themselves, and they want to know how they measure up after all these years.  Now with some of the social stigma of fandom removed, people want to know how far they have fallen from their childhood dreams.  For me—not far at all.  I would have considered Obi-Wan Kenobi to be a concession—an honorable one—but a concession.  Han Solo, out of all the characters in Star Wars was my target, and now as a grown man who has grandchildren of his own—I have hit the bull’s-eye, and for that I am very, very proud.  Setting those high standards actually made me a better grown-up than Han Solo—considerably.  But under pressure—and when it really counts—it is good to know I’m still more like Han Solo than Obi-Wan Kenobi.

And I was there……………….Han shot first!

Skyfall: A motorcycle in a snowstorm and death breath’s threat

imageI get asked all the time why I ride a motorcycle in the dead of winter and the answer is because of the kind of days that I experienced this past week where a snow storm hit in the middle of the day while I was out in it.  Once the snow started blowing and covering the roads I realized I needed to head home because the temperature was dropping quickly.  As people drove over the snow it was melting then immediately freezing as the atmospheric conditions were perfect for that kind of tragedy.  Before I tell this story I spend a lot of time outside—and I thrive in extreme conditions as these pictures on this article show.  They were taken a few days after that same snow storm and reflect the desperate isolation that such extreme cold and terrible road conditions bring to the mind while in it on a motorcycle.

The snow was coming down hard and had covered my bike—a Suzuki 1500 V-Twin that weighs just shy of 1000 pounds.  It’s a big bike that I’ve had virtually everywhere.  In just a few years it currently has 45,000 miles on it if that paints a picture.  I had to dust off the bike just to not sit in snow.  As I started up the big engine snow blew out of the tail pipe from all the drifts that had piled up against the rear tire, and I was genuinely concerned whether I could even steer the motorcycle in such conditions.  But within moments I had the bike moving out of the parking lot and out toward the Back Porch Saloon racing home and realizing quickly that I should have stayed put and either waited out the storm or called my wife to pick me up.   But that didn’t seem right, I didn’t want to put her in danger and I didn’t want to leave my bike on the side of the road in hard weather—so I agreed with myself to take things slow and see what happened mile by mile.image

The temperature had dropped from the mid-30s to the mid-20s Fahrenheit within the hour.  I had hoped that once I hit 747 the road that for nearly 8 miles of travel would take me nearly to my home that it would be clearer since it was a major road.  It was not.  I couldn’t turn onto the road from another without my front tire slipping out from under me.  I could barely hold up my bike against the slippery road as my foot wanted to slide outward against the surface ice that I had already wasted 10 minutes navigating.  In that time I only traveled approximately 70 feet and it became clear that I may not survive this trip this time.  So I pulled into an urgent care facility to decide what to do.  Snow had fallen down my gloves after initially brushing off my bike and was beginning to melt against my skin.  My finger tips were freezing and the visibility was about half a mile and was accumulating against my helmet at a pace that I had to continuously wipe away the snow just so I could see.  It was an impossible situation.

I sat in the desolate snow storm for a moment on my motorcycle and just looked north into the vast gray sky and tiny black dots of snowflakes that extended to the edge of visibility.  And I decided that I was going to brave the snowstorm and head home even if it was the last decision I ever made.  Sure I could have called for help, sure I could have waited out the storm, but I did not want to wake up the next day knowing that I surrendered to a snow storm.  It didn’t matter if anybody would know—but I would—so I took out my iPod and set for repeat my favorite song from 2013—the theme song from the James Bond film Skyfall by Adele.  As she sung the lyrics, “this is the end………hold your breath and count to ten……feel the earth move and then…………………” snow fell to the beat of the music and I could feel the rhythm to the universe and I plugged myself in.  I pulled my face shield down, shook off the pain of my numb fingers and threw caution to the wind. I peeled out of the parking lot and out onto 747 throwing snow everywhere to a parade of shocked faces peering at me from behind their car windows.

imageAs I moved down into the Becket Ridge valley the roads had completely frozen and snow drifts were crawling rapidly across the packed ice hiding the terrible black ice that was underneath.  I could not stop with brakes but had to just coast to a rest at stop lights.  Once the light turned green my back tire would not engage the pavement.  It just spun freely.  I didn’t apply any throttle, just let out the clutch and the back tire would just spin going almost nowhere.  So I held the bike in place struggling to hold it up as my feet were slipping outward.  I let the tire burn through the ice till it reached dry pavement shooing me forward.  The friction from the warmed up tire was melting the ice under it propelling me along just a bit.  This process was repeated for the next 4 traffic lights.image

A West Chester cop pulled up alongside me trying to determine if he should give me a ticket for reckless operation.  But his tires were spinning too and he couldn’t pull in behind me as the car behind was struggling to stay on the road.  A car just in front of us had slid off the road and over a curb in front of a Wendy’s restaurant obviously trying to turn into that parking lot for a safe haven, but not being able to make the turn.  The cop was concerned about getting someplace safe and showed no desire to stand outside and issue a ticket.  He simply shook his head and I gazed back with Adele singing in my ear…………….”Let the Skyfall.”

In these kinds of moments the mind reaches a place where fear no longer has any influence.  It is a place I always strive to be but can only reach under extreme conditions and is the primary reason I ride a motorcycle every day no matter what’s going on if it is physically possible.  I’ve been to this kind of spot many times in my life and when I return I clearly see what everything is about.  At such times I pray for a time when the U.S. Government comes to my doorstep and tries to arrest me for defending the Constitution.  I pray for a pack of terrorists to make the mistake of attacking a location near me where I can turn them into mince-meat suitable for a pretzel sold at an airport dipped in liquid cheese.  In such moments the dominate feeling is that all takers could be challenged under any quantity and the enemies would all be eradicated.  People sitting in the warmth of their cars at the next stop light must have thought I was crazy as I pumped my fist toward the heavens and challenge all the elements of earth to throw what they had at me.image

What they didn’t know was my own inner challenges were rising up against the context of the storm.  In my ear, on the iPod Adele was singing, “Skyfall is where we start, A thousand miles and poles apart……………….Where worlds collide and days are dark…………………..” and I thought of the progressive schools and how they are rotting the minds of mankind, I thought of the arrogance of president Obama and an Attorney General who is an out-right criminal.  I thought of the feminist destruction of traditional America and their mindless support of Hillary Clinton—who is also a criminal.  I thought of the gays attacking Phil Robertson for his “homophobic” views which are now the mainstream making God-fearing Christians similar to the kind of sacrificial lambs thrown to the lions during the Roman Empire.  I thought of the stagnant economy directly wrecked by progressives like George Soros and his open border, open legalized pot mind, numbing existence so that America will become one of the least free places on earth as opposed to the most.  I thought of Warren Buffet’s rail line across Canada which is the real reason that there is no Keystone Pipeline.  Buffet makes hundreds of millions of dollars as Canada uses his trains to ship their oil to China.  If that same oil traveled across a pipeline through North America to the gulf, Buffet wouldn’t make money with his trains.  That’s why the train wreck and oil spill along that line a few weeks ago went away from the news cycle so quickly.  All these people are villains—and there are hundreds of thousands more—and standing in the snow and ice with my fingers numb remotely concerned about permanent damage, I wanted to throw all those villains into a ring of death and fight them swimming in their blood upon defeat.

Lucky for me sanity is my constant companion.  Such emotions can get away if they are allowed, but I never do. After nearly an hour in the extreme cold averting countless perils I arrived home triumphantly. I was soaked to the bone, my pants where dripping with melted snow and my skin was so drenched that water ran down my legs and filled my boots with water.  Freezing, I undressed on my front porch, poured the water out of my boots and went inside to warm up.  It was good to see home, and for a while I thought I may never see it again.  About that time I had pumped my fist to the heavens and yelled within my helmet……………..”is that all you f**king have you pathetic mother nature.  F**k you, you god damn pussy.”  My mind had shifted into that much desired gear where nothing is impossible, nothing is too big, no odds matter, because fate is in your control.  Under such a frame of mind a person could alter the gravity well of entire planets and implode them with the squeeze of a hand.  They could then sling black holes across the universe like Frisbees and grab the neck of inter-dimensional terrorists and pop them like zits on the face of an adolescent.  But at the moment a warm blanket and dry towel sufficed.image

“this is the end………hold your breath and count to ten……feel the earth move and then…………………” As my wife brought me some warm food and I shivered myself to warmth once again under a pile of blankets I could see on her face that she understood.  She knows me and how I think.  As she walked back into the kitchen and I watched the snow build up outside my window I counted to ten and whispered……………….”Let the Skyfall,” and when it does………………I can stay in that frame of mind perpetually as I never feel more alive than during those moments………………and I can’t wait till I can feel such a thing again.  Skyfall……………………….

Meryl Streep and the Poop Particles of Doom: The progressive attack against sanity

After listening to Meryl Streep attack Walt Disney while honoring Emma Thompson’s rabid feminism, it does not surprise me that many men these days seem to prefer the stinky exit of the human body’s digestive system as opposed to a heterosexual relationship with these modern “man hating females.”  But I am not one of those guys.  Even the vilest feminist is a better option in my book.  As progressives would label such a position “homophobic” I would call it sanity, clarity in thinking, and the best option available.  Some people have phobias of spiders, some of snakes, some of heights—mine has and always will be that of the poop particle.  I have one real fear out all possible fears and that is of the remnants of material left over after the digestive process.  I have never liked seeing cow patties on my grandfather’s farms, I hate watching dogs defecate—and worse yet—eat it—and I have absolutely no desire to ever pursue an orifice that creates such matter in pursuit of sexual pleasure.  With that hatred of poop particles in mind, this educational film from the late 1950s reflects my impression of the “homosexual.”

The same people who have communicated this same-sex type of lifestyle are the same people talked about in my article yesterday attacking monogamous marriage.  They have an agenda and from my vantage point it is destructive—and disgusting.  CLICK HERE TO REVIEW.  It’s not that I want to return America to the 1950s.  For me, that period of time was too liberal.  I’d prefer 1750 to about 1790 myself, but that’s just me.  In that video shown above, I wouldn’t even tell a kid to inform a teacher—as the parent is the last and only line of defense that matters in a child’s life.  But in the video at least the film makers addressed the kind of threats that might come to a child so they could learn to defend themselves from the vile acts of adults who are clearly screwed up in the head.

We live in a society where declaring that sex which involves fecal matter is healthy, proper, and naturally good.  If anyone disagrees they are called a “homophobe.”  This behavior has paved the way for the child raped by his teacher in Michigan.  CLICK TO REVIEW.  Likely, that teacher wouldn’t have even been a teacher in the type of society ran by those who made the homosexual video above, as that society would have spotted his antics in the light of day.  As things are today, nobody is comfortable calling out any kind of homosexual behavior that might lead to abusing children, because they don’t want to be attacked by progressives calling them “homophobes.”  In 2014 that is nearly as bad as being called a “sexist.”  If you don’t support feminism, you are a “sexist.”  If you don’t support poop particle sex, you are “homophobic.”  Both carry a social stigma created by a progressive establishment and those types are directly at fault for creating scenarios where teachers like the one in Michigan have the ability to destroy the lives of his students.  The fault is squarely on their shoulders.

As much as progressives hate the naivety of the 1950s and all the times that came before it where tradition and family value paved the way for strong healthy lives—the world they have created is far, far worse.  Can anybody in their right mind declare that feminism has worked?  Can anybody declare that the Michigan teacher was not mentally insane because of his sexual prerogative?  Can anybody think that Meryl Streep would be a fun date?  Progressives have created these problems, and they suppress a value judgment against them by calling sane people names for trying to identify the problem.  At least there was a time in America where bad behavior was identified and a warning to future conduct was attempted.  It may have been fear based, it may not have encompassed the entire enormity of the homosexual complexity—but at least a social norm identified for the benefit of a majority of the population was considered.  At least children were getting a warning of what to look out for among perverted adults.  Back in the “old fashioned” days, such people hid their behavior.  Today they run labor unions and make decisions right out in the open.

The way society is today people who might otherwise warn children away from parasites like that Michigan teacher keep their mouths shut because they don’t want to be called a “homophobe.”  But is that such a bad name?  Is it really a negative to be told that a person doesn’t enjoy poop particle sex?  It isn’t to me.  It states that my mind is not confused into behaving like a dog but would prefer even a feminist over a homosexual.  I may feel sorry for the person attracted to such things, but that doesn’t make them superior to the biological structure that was bestowed on mankind for the sake of mating rituals and human evolution.  The warnings of the 40s, 50s, and very early 60s were valid even if they were rooted with fear and religion into conforming society around a set of values that were being recognizably lost.

As despicable as Meryl Streep’s political views of men hatred are, she would still be a better dinner date than the eventual peril of the poop particles in a man’s hairy ass.  That to me is the gauge of sanity in our modern time where such judgments are forbidden to even be discussed, let alone dealt with.  In my family we have a couple of dogs and I watch often in horror when one sniffs at the other after urinating, or defecating and becomes quite excited about the occasion jumping around as though they just found out they won a million dollars.  We also have a cat, and sometimes that animal will puke right in the middle of the floor and the dog will come and lick it all up clean. This behavior is disgusting by every measure of human value judgment—except the homosexual leaning beings.  For them, this behavior has appeal, and from my point of view—is reminiscent of an illness of some kind.  Such illnesses could be treated if they were identified, but instead they are promoted.  That lack of proper danger recognition is what lead to the kind of rape case that happened in Michigan between a union president—teacher, and his student.  In a society that called such behavior bad, the rape and abuse likely would have been averted.

We’ve all been told that we need to be open to other ways of thinking and embrace the “progressive” view of the world which states that feminism is more important than traditional value, and that same-sex practices are equal to traditional heterosexual practices.  But they are not.  One involves poop particles and the other doesn’t, and poop particles are not good, healthy, or delightful……..unless one considers themselves a dog.  And that would be an insult—and nobody wants such a thing leveled in their direction.  So what do we call such people?  For all the faults pointed out by progressives toward films like the training film against homosexuality in the 50s, nothing has been offered as a modification or replacement to the attempt to at least identify bad behavior that might truly endanger children.  Instead, we are told to look the other way and ignore the faults that progressives have brought to us all in pain, suffering and misery.  And not even the fine acting of Meryl Streep can disguise her cover of a truly disgusting premise behind the progressive platform—that of the poop particle and the terrible expulsion of human waste that propagates from such unions in a sexual ritual centered purely on pleasure like a mindless animal—instead of the continuation of the human race.  At least in the 50s they considered the impact that such behavior would have on children.  The modern progressive does not—instead they seek to use children for their own pleasure and attempt to excuse the behavior as a “learning” experience that will pave the way to adult behavior that will never be able to relate to traditional value—which was always the real goal of their maniacal strategy.

I will give credit to the gay community and the progressive in general for one aspect of their strategy which is brilliant–the use of Meryl Streep as a growing advocate of feminism, erosion of Second Amendment rights, and general liberal causes.  Many men who do not find such revulsion toward fecal matter as I do are choosing the gay life than a life shared with a feminist man-hating radical which substantially bolsters their numbers. The way to make more people turn toward homosexual behavior among men is to provide them with Meryl Streep as a spokesman for feminist causes…….brilliant.
