Sadly many people young and old alike have forgotten what the difference between capitalism and socialism is, so the arguments provided by the Tea Party movement recently against the government growth progressives is lost to them as they were taught in public school and college to hate money. They were taught that money and capitalists are evil, and they spend half their lives learning otherwise—sadly. So it becomes increasingly necessary to educate people on the difference between capitalism and socialism—because it is socialism that the Obama White House is advocating. In fact George Bush both daddy and son along with their good friend Bill Clinton have slowly used elements of socialism to advance their own political careers. Sadly, since World War II only two presidents have acted in a beneficial way to promote capitalism in America, one is John F. Kennedy because of his commitment to NASA and all the technology that spawned off the moon effort, and Ronald Reagan who was able to pull America from the brink of left-winged politics and cast it back into capitalism during the 1980’s to fight the Soviet Union during the Cold War. For many young people they don’t understand how this cast of characters plays out in historical context and what the fundamental differences are between the various economic systems. So for those inquiring minds, have a look at this clip from the film I Want Your Money where Ronald Reagan teaches Barack Obama the difference between his version capitalism and Obama’s socialism.
I had the good fortune to have grown up in the 1980’s when capitalism was king under the Reagan years. He did such a good job that the carry-over effect lasted until the tragic event of 9/11 2001, prompting George Bush Jr., to inject government interference into the economic equation which began the downward economic spiral seen today. Growing up I never lacked a job, because there were so many opportunities. I often worked two to three jobs all at the same time two of them full-time jobs and one of them part-time, and I worked 7 days a week. I’ve worked on all sides of making money. I’ve done work as a gunsmith, repo man, an inventor, a graphic designer, a fund-raiser, a videotographer, a salesman, a grill cook, a waiter, landscaper, tree trimmer, a middle manager, even a top rung manager, and done a lot of work as a writer both ghost and traditional. And of course most people at this site know me as a political activist that may seem like a large part of my life, but in reality is only part of one chapter in my life that is turning out to be a very large book.
My employers have been mobsters, drug dealers, corporate raiders, corrupt politicians, power grabbers, publicly traded corporations and traditional capitalists—all of them look on the up and up at the interview, but over time you learn a lot about people and personal philosophies will clash, and they have—many times. But during all that I have learned a lot and managed to see every side of ugly, and stayed out of jail because I always found the path of goodness even in the darkest depths of hell. I have tested thoroughly my moral compass and it has always pointed in the correct direction even if the path seemed complex at times. I will say in a heartbeat that the world is better off under the rule of all those different degrees of capitalists than they are under the fairness of government redistribution which is currently choking the economy.
Capitalism is about opportunity, not protecting life from the thugs, the goons, and the killers who share life with the rest of us. “Hit men” are people too, and they have families like anyone else. To them, killing is just a job that gets them paid. And most of them stay out of jail because they are friends with judges and police detectives who know all too well what they are up to. In many cases such people thrive under big government because it is those relationships with authority that prevents competition in the field of killing, which might sound extreme, but is a thriving business. For every death reported in the newspaper, there are many others who never get reported or discussed. Relative to Cincinnati, Ohio the bodies are dredged out of the Ohio River down in Louisville by the locks at The Falls, and they go “unsolved” most of the time.
I point this out because in a society that is functioning under pure capitalism there is actually less of this destructive behavior because there isn’t so much profit in government to look the other way to maintain a monopoly between organized crime and government—as we all suspect is behind the current presidency, just as it was during the Kennedy presidency—most likely leading to his death. The misperception is that thugs and crooks are fewer under a heavily regulated society, but nothing could be further from the truth. The difference is the criminals move out of the shadows and instead into a suit and begin doing government work for The White House, the IRS, the CIA, the FBI or the local police department instead of working in the backroom of a seedy restaurant running a mob arm away from the heart of Chicago, or using a car dealership as the front organization for a drug smuggling operation and money laundering scam. Safety in society is in more capitalism and having a bigger gun than the other guy—it is not in government.
When I was a very young man I attended a dinner with a highly decorated Judge from Sharonville along with his wife, known killers, drug dealers, and other mob types. I was being “groomed” into service because I had elements to my temper that they liked. I learned at the dinner how the world worked—as the judge was very open in revealing that he knew damn well what all the criminals at the table were up to and how they made their money. I also know that many of these organized elements began during the Ford and Carter years under more regulation and the concern that Ronald Reagan was de-regulating many industries was a concern for them, because if markets opened up, they couldn’t jack up their smuggling rates of delivery. Free market competition was a threat to the criminals who looked for an alliance with government to preserve their monopolies. The judge wasn’t sitting at our table to talk about sports, even though two former Bengal players were at the table as well serving as the public front to divert attention away from the true intentions. (Life on Chester Road in the 80’s) No, the judge was there to help maintain the criminal monopoly, to keep competition shut down and to legally block for the criminal underground.
Once I caught on to that life and what it was, and proved to myself that I had the nerve of steel that I always wished to test myself against—as a young man needing to know I had the guts to do anything, I took an honest job at a very dangerous factory under the coaxing of my wife, who wanted to live a somewhat normal life. Some people join the military to test themselves, but I was never willing to take orders, so I found other ways—and living to tell about it is the most important part. Because the experience gave me a unique perspective on capitalism even from the seediest aspects of it, and I have seen firsthand how socialism works. The idea of fairness is how it’s sold, but what really happens is government thugs gain the legal title to steal, and pillage instead of having to hide their behavior. That is the only difference. The less capitalism there is the more crime that will occur. The more capitalism there is, the criminals become easier to spot and their hiding places move into the dark corners of society as opposed to right out in the open.
So for those safety freaks out there who are afraid for your children’s life and think that more socialism will protect them—think again—because nothing could be further from the truth. Do not look to government to protect you and your children from the big “mean” people of the world. And certainly don’t look to government to educate, and care for your children. I’ve known the worst kind of people God has created, and they are just as worse as the people who currently reside in public education. The only difference is that they took off the cheesy suits from the 80’s and now wear business attire learned from their university. But they are all thugs if they advocate the looting of personal wealth for their own well-being at the expense of the innocent.
But the dead aren’t just showing up to vote in elections, they are also functioning in full form on events like Black Friday where labor unions attempted an insurrection among the employees of Wal-Mart in a hostile employee socialist take-over of that large company while participants gathered early on Thanksgiving to be the first to snag up door buster prizes designed to jump-start economic behavior for the Holiday Season. This lead to some ridicule and in isolated cases violence on Black Friday that was captured very well by this apocalyptic chastising by Mark Dice as he called the people in line at Best Buy members of the zombie apocalypse as they rushed mindlessly to be the first to buy consumer goods at better than bargain prices.
I found myself torn while watching Dice do his work. I support vibrant economic activity but I have to admire Dice’s ability to call things out as he sees them, as he did a fabulous job of showing how paralyzed the masses are when they are told to their face what mindless followers they are. What Doc and Dice are pointing out are the evils of collectivism in many different forms that have very negative aspects on daily life in America. A zombie is looked down upon because they become non-thinking entities that are easily used as pawns in the many political games that have polarized modern life all over the world and the cause is in the sheer fact that while we all share equal rights to vote and participate in a republic oriented democracy we are not all equal in the efforts we place into thinking, which is the backbone of any society.
A society of non-thinking fools look for a leader to tell them where to stand, what to eat, what kind of education is important to them, what they can do on their properties, because they are too lazy to challenge the status quo. Just the same, the people in the Best Buy line that were yelled at by Mark Dice had mindlessly showed up to be a part of the non-thinking masses who had gathered like herds of cattle to be slaughtered by their own ignorance as part of a consumer culture using non-thinking as their primary driver. They were so lazy that they didn’t even feel motivated to yell back at Dice to defend themselves—rather the surrendered their efforts to collectivism, the same as the cops in the video. They are all part of a system and they didn’t question their placement in that system which makes them mindless zombies.
Collectivism is a determent to American life no matter what political affiliation the zombies of non-thinking are participating in. It doesn’t matter if the act of evil is consumer based such as in the Best Buy example on Black Friday, or if crooked poll workers are inserting dead voter ballots into the system to skew results in favor of their candidate. It is the mindless participation into a system that defies the purity of individual authenticity that demands such people be referred to as zombies who walk among us. They have all the same rights—yet they are much more dangerous because their actions do not come from their minds, but from the strings that pull them along through life which leaves society open to dialogues of further corruption and debauchery. The evil committed is non-thinking as it leads to an erosion of social quality that is indisputable and lowers the standards for all of mankind when the perpetrators believed from the start that they were good in doing what was expected of them without question. People who think in these terms are simply zombies bringing about on Earth the apocalypse of New Testament legend.
I have a magician friend who gets very perturbed when members of the audience reveal to him during a show how the tricks he is doing on stage are preformed. He knows that for many of his magic tricks to work that the audience must suspend their logic and be willing to believe in hocus pocus before the onstage illusions can be accepted as reality. So it is with some insight that I see the same level of anger coming from progressives like Barack Obama and his merry band of federal thieves, radicals and despots when they wish the public to believe in their magic tricks on a stage of illusion that the national media lapdogs assist in creating for the public. Progressives wish the entire world to believe that Barack Obama was re-elected in November 2012 because America is a progressive left-leaning nation of “enlightened” souls. But the reality behind the trick is that Democrats bought audience suspension of belief with “gifts.” Obama bought the election by giving things away to labor unions—money stolen with taxes and given to powerful bloc voting groups—such as the new TSA union that we all have to deal with at airports now. More people are on food stamps than they ever have been, thanks to Obama’s socialist stance of taking from the rich and giving to the poor. But the most disgusting of all is the Obama Phones given out to residents of the inner cities—particularly Cleveland, Ohio where free phones and minutes were apparently given out to key voting blocs with the intention to purchase votes in the upcoming election—which worked. Some of these voting districts where Obama Phones were handed out didn’t cast one vote for Mitt Romney in the election giving Obama 100% of the turnout……….mysteriously. It is kind of like magic—right.
Well my ol’ buddy Doc Thompson is one of those irritating audience members who refuse to let a band of manipulative magicians scam the public unimpeded. He has sifted through the facts of this whole Obama Phone issue and had a little fun with it on his radio show in Detroit, Michigan. On Black Friday Doc was filling in for Glenn Beck with a broadcast footprint of over 10 million people and it is then that Doc played the very funny audio clip about Obama Phones shown below. Have a listen.
My wife and I were taking our oldest daughter out to lunch since she had to work Black Friday and I was still laughing while we were driving to the restaurant from that broadcast clip when Doc Thompson called me to wish my family a Happy Thanksgiving and wonderful Holiday Season. (to non-progressives that means CHRISTMAS) Doc had just finished up with the Glenn Beck Radio Show and took a minute to talk to me a bit off-air.
It sure was nice when Doc was in the Cincinnati market at a local radio station broadcasting his unique brand of radio program that is old-fashioned in many respects, but hard hitting like Howard Stern without the vulgarity. I felt privileged when he was in Cincinnati, and his vacancy is very much missed but Doc is working on a syndication deal that could put him all over The United States which would be great for America—but until that time it is a real treat to hear him covering for Glenn Beck from time to time—because not many radio hosts do the kind of hard hitting reporting that Doc does without losing their sense of humor. And that is what Doc is best at—no matter how serious the situation is—Doc Thompson finds a way to have a little fun with the material to dull the blunt impact of the grim reality.
Make no mistake about it however—Barack Obama’s election was not legitimate in regard that he won it straight up—without magic tricks. No, he bought the election with “GIFTS” and progressives might wish to conceal that information, but the facts are what they are. It is no different than when government school levies pass because parents believe that they are getting a free education for their child when in reality the money used in public education is money stolen from property owners who no longer have kids going to the school—then a portion of that money is given to powerful labor unions to elect Democratic politicians who then set the stage for progressive magic tricks that many of us are no longer believing. The Obama Phones are just the most recent example of how disgusting the political magicians have become and to what extent they are willing to lie and manipulate their way into power. With those kinds of diabolical social menaces in the world it is wonderful to know that Doc Thompson has the opportunity to take to the air waves and rattle the cages of these perpetrators of doom who try to hide their true intentions of wealth redistribution with the suspended belief in magic that allows them to commit the crimes. Doc Thompson isn’t having any of it, and he wasn’t shy in letting millions of people know about it. And during the Thanksgiving Season as my family sat down to give my daughter a nice Black Friday lunch—I realized that I am most thankful to know people like Doc Thompson and that the fight for truth carries on beyond the reach of the sinister manipulation designed by the Obama Phone giveaways.
David Green the CEO of Hobby Lobby has had to take action to protect himself from the terrible costs of mandated government health care advocated by President Obama and his gang of government thugs. Below is a letter from Green in an attempt to get his story out. This is not a new action, but given the re-election of Obama by the rule of the stupid and foolish looking for a social hand-out as opposed to American self-reliance, this story regarding Hobby Lobby needs to be told so others facing similar issues can figure out how to deal with Obamacare, or fold in order to protect the hard work they have amassed over many years of productivity. Now might be a time to cash in and check out before government invades your businesses forever.
A Letter from Hobby Lobby Stores CEO By David Green, the founder and CEO of Hobby Lobby Stores, Inc.
When my family and I started our company 40 years ago, we were working out of a garage on a $600 bank loan, assembling miniature picture frames. Our first retail store wasn’t much bigger than most people’s living rooms, but we had faith that we would succeed if we lived and worked according to God’s word. From there,Hobby Lobby has become one of the nation’s largest arts and crafts retailers, with more than 500 locations in 41 states. Our children grew up into fine business leaders, and today we run Hobby Lobby together, as a family.
We’re Christians, and we run our business on Christian principles. I’ve always said that the first two goals of our business are (1) to run our business in harmony with God’s laws, and (2) to focus on people more than money. And that’s what we’ve tried to do. We close early so our employees can see their families at night. We keep our stores closed on Sundays, one of the week’s biggest shopping days, so that our workers and their families can enjoy a day of rest. We believe that it is by God’s grace that Hobby Lobby has endured, and he has blessed us and our employees. We’ve not only added jobs in a weak economy, we’ve raised wages for the past four years in a row. Our full-time employees start at 80% above minimum wage.
But now, our government threatens to change all of that. A new government health care mandate says that our family business MUST provide what I believe are abortion-causing drugs as part of our health insurance. Being Christians, we don’t pay for drugs that might cause abortions, which means that we don’t cover emergency contraception, the morning-after pill or the week-after pill. We believe doing so might end a life after the moment of conception, something that is contrary to our most important beliefs. It goes against the Biblical principles on which we have run this company since day one. If we refuse to comply, we could face $1.3 million PER DAY in government fines.
Our government threatens to fine job creators in a bad economy. Our government threatens to fine a company that’s raised wages four years running. Our government threatens to fine a family for running its business according to its beliefs. It’s not right. I know people will say we ought to follow the rules; that it’s the same for everybody. But that’s not true. The government has exempted thousands of companies from this mandate, for reasons of convenience or cost. But it won’t exempt them for reasons of religious belief.
So, Hobby Lobby ? and my family ? are forced to make a choice. With great reluctance, we filed a lawsuit today, represented by the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty, asking a federal court to stop this mandate before it hurts our business. We don’t like to go running into court, but we no longer have a choice. We believe people are more important than the bottom line and that honoring God is more important than turning a profit.
My family has lived the American dream. We want to continue growing our company and providing great jobs for thousands of employees, but the government is going to make that much more difficult. The government is forcing us to choose between following our faith and following the law. I say that’s a choice no American ? and no American business ? should have to make.
The government cannot force you to follow laws that go against your fundamental religious belief. They have exempted thousands of companies but will not except Christian organizations including the Catholic church.Since you will not see this covered in any of the liberal media, pass this on to all your contacts.
Sincerely,
David Green, CEO and Founder of Hobby Lobby Stores, Inc.
In relation to the Hostess Labor Strike that I wrote about yesterday, the issue of public education must be painted against this backdrop. CLICK HERE FOR REVIEW. Public education is controlled by radical labor unions who teach our children aspects of life that many of us may not agree with—such as sexual education that leans in a promiscuous direction, anti-capitalistic labor practices, large government expansion, and of course destructive global sciences that are rooted in belief and not fact. These would not be so problematic if parents had an option as to where they could send their children, and if they did not like the school and what it taught their children, they had the option of taking their child to another school that was more in line with their family’s beliefs. However, the union labor agreements with government help has helped create a destructive progressive monopoly that resides in each and every neighborhood in America and it is with these monopolies that the single greatest threat to The United States resides—the attack on the minds of our youth to learn things that are not only detrimental to themselves, but our nation—as is in evidence by the results of the 2012 election.
Labor unions in public school maintain a government backed monopoly, and when education employees wish to increase their wages, all they must do is strike forcing school boards and federal mediators to come in and resolve the labor dispute. Parents do not have the option to pick their kids up and take them to another school that does not have striking employees, busing cuts, or pay-for-play extracurricular activities because government has backed the labor unions into maintaining an education monopoly—forcefully taking money from property ownership to fund the monopoly. The only recourse a parent has who is displeased with this arrangement is to pull their child out of their local public school and teach them at home. But the scam still impacts them as their tax money will still be stolen from their property value whether or not the parents enjoy the product of public education.
When teachers strike, parents have no choice but to accept the product and this is wrong. This government arrangement with public education ensures that the teaching profession will always be paid much higher than the tax payers who pay their salaries with benefits that are lavish and among the best of their kind. The working hours are extraordinarily easy, and the other benefits are excessively good—and are granted because education has maintained this monopoly status with the guns of the government at their back leaving some radical teachers to advocate political beliefs to our youth without fear of competing ideas to filter out the actual merit. Parents are told to put up and shut up, and to simply pay their taxes, otherwise their property will be seized.
The unions in America have had it all wrong from day one. When Andrew Carnegie had to endure one of the first labor strikes from a worker’s union in one of his Pittsburg steel plants, he was guilty of working his employees too long, too often in a bloodthirsty quest to compete with J.D. Rockefeller in Cleveland as the richest man in The United States. In business, competition is what drives the flow of money, and between Rockefeller and Carnegie there was a brutal competition between the two men that almost single-handedly ushered America into the modern age with innovation and wealth. Billions of people world-wide benefited directly from the ruthless competition between those two men. But Carnegie had crossed the line pushing his workers too hard. This caused the desperate workers to look toward the fairly recent writings of Karl Marx for a solution in much the same way that the Bolsheviks roughly 20 years later would use Marx to overthrow the bourgeoisie class in Petrograd under the banner, “workers of the world unite!” The steel workers at Carnegie’s Pittsburg steel mill went on strike and took possession of the plant which was their mistake. They had a right to walk off the job leaving the task to new workers to fill, but they did not have the right to take possession of the plant, believing themselves inaccurately to be equal owners in the company’s assets simply because they were employed at the plant.
Carnegie owned the mill as the workers simply sold their labor to him for a price. If the workers did not like the price, or thought they could do a better job, under capitalism they have the right to walk away from the job and go into direct competition with Carnegie if they wished. But under socialism—which the labor unions functioned under then, and to this very day—they believed they were equal partners with ownership in the companies they worked for simply because they showed up for work. Carnegie’s response to the labor strike was to call in the Pinkerton boys.
Allan Pinkerton (1819-84), was a Scottish-American detective. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, Pinkerton came to the United States and settled near Chicago in 1842. While engaged in business as a barrel maker in 1846, he captured a gang of counterfeiters and was consequently elected county sheriff. In 1850 he organized Pinkerton’s National Detective Agency and was appointed the first city detective in Chicago. The recovery of a large sum of money stolen from the Adams Express Company and the discovery of a plot to murder Abraham Lincoln in 1861 made his reputation. During the American Civil War he organized the secret service of the U.S. Army. During the railroad strikes of 1877, his agency provided strikebreakers. His books include Strikers, Communists and Tramps (1878) and Thirty Years a Detective (1884). After the Civil War Pinkerton put together a band of mercenaries who would go around the country for hire and attack unions who attempted to seize American businesses. Carnegie hired Pinkerton to break up the strike at his Pittsburg steel plant where the workers barricaded themselves across the entrance. Pinkerton in defense of Carnegie’s ownership of the plant gunned down the workers to break the strike and retake possession of the plant from the theft induced by the labor union.
Eventually over the next 100 years labor unions would embed themselves into many companies and would stop work in an attempt to extort more pay and benefits from corporate owners with the threat of violence under the banner of communism. Government climbed into bed with the communist movement migrating through American capitalism and made such actions as Carnegie utilized by hiring Pinkerton illegal—which allowed communism to mix with American capitalism in a contentious century long stand-off. The result has been the decimation of the steel industry, that started in America, the destruction of the car industry, which has been artificially propped up by government to prevent the inevitable bankruptcy imposed by the auto worker legacy costs, and a destructive spread of organized labor into government positions such as firefighters, cops and teachers—fulfilling the undercurrent strategy of the communists all along to attack private property in America by taxing it to fund those infrastructure government labor jobs excessively. Even though Carnegie pushed his workers over the edge with poor wages and intense hours—his workers did not have the right to take his property. Labor unions function in modern times with the same foolish belief, that it is they who own part of a company simply because they are employed.
We see the same things happening today. Witness the statement provided by the Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Workers and Grain Millers International Union that was supporting the strike of its members against the Hostess Company and witnesses their response to the demand by management that they report to work on Thursday November 15th. “Our members decided they were not going to take any more abuse from a company they have given so much to for so many years. They decided that they were not going to agree to another round of outrageous wage and benefit cuts and give up their pension only to see yet another management team fail and Wall Street vulture capitalists and ‘restructuring specialists’ walk away with untold millions of dollars.”
Communists have always made war against what they perceive to be the bourgeoisie class (owners) against the proletariat (workers). In fact, President Obama made his entire re-election campaign based on this labor argument, hoping to stir up the communist seeds that had been planted in America by labor unions for over a century. This is why Obama is viewed as a socialist and outright communist advocate. Communism is the antithesis of capitalism—and America became the wealthiest country on Earth because of capitalism.
Hostess is now out of business because the labor unions crushed the company with demands by the workers that the company could not provide. As I write this, labor unions are trying yet again to infiltrate the retail giant Wal-Mart on Black Friday with a worker walkout right in the middle of the busiest time of year, intentionally hurting the employer at a critical time. Wal-Mart knows that if they allow unions to break through their management ranks, the company will never survive. Wal-Mart must fight off union take-over constantly to allow them to continue to do what has made them successful, and that’s provide many retail items at a low price to consumers. Once organized labor gains the ability to shut down production, or shopping hours with labor stoppage, customers will turn away from Wal-Mart and go to Target or some other retailer that does not have radical workers harassing them at the front door. People shop at Wal-Mart because they want to purchase items cheaply, and without hassle. If Wal-Mart cannot provide that, then their company, like Hostess, will be over.
What happened to Hostess has already happened to countless steel mills, and many traditional American businesses. It is because of labor unions that businesses have moved overseas and taken their jobs with them. In America, government has sided with labor unions, not American business—unless that business sends a lobbyist to Washington. With the help of labor unions, congressman and senators have learned that they can make capitalism in America be a “pay-to-play” sport, just like many public schools are doing these days when they don’t get their extortive school levies passed. Ten years ago Fidelity did not have a lobbyist in Washington. Today they do. Microsoft in the 90’s learned the cost of not having a “man in Washington.” They were sued by the government for being a monopoly—because they didn’t have someone greasing the wheels. Today they do. Labor unions today work with government to shake down American companies for everything they can and at a certain point, when the profit just isn’t worth it any longer, the companies just sell, move to a less hostile environment, or just go into bankruptcy like Hostess is doing now taking with it foods that we all know and love.
The labor unions are functioning under a communist philosophy intended all along by the writings of Karl Marx to destroy the wealthiest country on the face of the planet with a slow bleeding attack on capitalism. The government got into bed with labor unions by making actions like Pinkerton illegal. Companies can no longer defend their property from communist insurrections—but instead must call in a federal mediator who is almost always on the side of big labor—unless the company can hire an army of lawyers to do through the government court system what the Pinkerton’s did with a gun—and destroy the lives of the attackers.
Either way the looting government employees make their way off into comfortable retirements and island condominiums as they profit off the battles of communist labor unions and capitalist corporations. The sad thing about the whole mess is that nobody gave a damn until they learned they might not be able to buy Twinkies any longer at their local grocer. But believe me—Hostess is just the tip of the iceberg. Hundreds of similar companies are in the same boat, and if parasitic labor unions are allowed to destroy them, they will all be gone soon—and in London, England from his ratty grave, Karl Marx is laughing at the havoc he reeked upon the world with the most corrosive economic theory ever devised—one that would ultimately stop the economic engine of America so slowly that the people wouldn’t even realize it had happened, until they lost something they deeply treasured, like the Hostess Company, and the snack cakes that came to define entire generations.
Republicans, this is the cost of not fighting hard enough. This is the cost of compromise, of “playing nice.” Compromise is not a dirty word if you are a progressive, but for everyone else, it’s as dirty as an entire sewage system. One of the great fall outs of Obamacare is that employers must provide the government mandated insurance if employees work over 28 hours per week. This will cause small companies like Target, and Walmart, and Home Depot to only allow their employees to work 28 hours per week. Welcome to the first costs of Obama’s re-election.
John Boehner is a nice guy, and he is my congressman–heck he’s practically my neighbor. I like the man. But Beck is calling the situation the way many Republicans are feeling it, and it is only going to get worse. For all those idiots who voted for Obama, and begged him to steal from the rich to give to the poor, and crush American businesses–good luck at finding a new job. Because they will be harder to come by than ever. Welcome to the OBAMANATION!
When dealing with diabolical liars such as what President Obama has shown to the world as his preferred means of communication, the only way to decipher their real intentions is to connect the dots of what is known and see what kind of truth the picture tells. Because it is in games of evasion that mass manipulators function best where the facts are spread far and wide—the deceits are never learned until much later because the facts are deliberately concealed preventing detection. But through speculative fiction, which is what I’m about to do, we can take the known facts and connect them in ways that make the most sense so to ascertain the next steps of a parasites intent to loot off the will of the masses with more scandals, schemes, and treacherous episodes of espionage.
Many wonder why Obama was so aloof in the first debate with Mitt Romney, but the reason was made clear thanks to Barack Obama’s mother-in-law who around that time had been uttering the ecstasy of the family’s post Presidency plans. Very quietly, Obama’s chief financier, Penny Pritzker, had entered the Hawaii housing market to buy a retirement home for the president and his family that will be available not in 2016, but in January 2013, according to a confidential source within Pritzker’s Chicago organization. Pritzker is yet another billionaire on the side of Obama who received her money as heiress of the Hyatt hotel chain and Penny has been passing the hat around Chicago asking everyone to pitch in to purchase the Obamas a new home far away from Washington and even away from Chicago. Penny had set her sights on the $40 million dollar home that was in a recent episode of Hawaii Five-O that would be down the road from the proposed Obama Library that she is also raising money to have built.
Michelle Obama’s mom has been so pleased with the knowledge that she will spend her final days in such a magnificent paradise that she had been bragging about the upcoming move to her Chicago friends who had loose enough lips to utter the details of the plan in confidence. The house is truly magnificent, and would be considered a paradise on earth for anyone, especially a person like Obama who has been given virtually everything in his life by someone else—a person who had lived in modest means for many years of his life until the progressive political machine picked him as their spokesman for the continued spread of global collectivism. The house along with more detail of the story can be verified at the below links.
Many in the mainstream media will find this revelation troubling because it appears Obama was willing to throw in the Presidential towel all the way back in August of 2012, when internal pollsters showed that Mitt Romney had an easy margin of victory over Obama. This internal polling showed that Romney was going to beat Obama by a margin of 53.3% to 46.7%, statistically not even close. In fact out of the 13 battle ground states, Romney was projected to win New Mexico, North Carolina, Virginia, Iowa, New Hampshire, Colorado, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Florida. Obama was predicted to win Michigan and Nevada but to fall dramatically short of what he needs to retain the Presidency. There appears to be little that Obama can do to erode away the 330 Electoral College votes out of the possible 538 that Romney will command. So given that dismal data, the Obamas decided to treat themselves to a good life in Hawaii with their family in a paradise far away from the trouble of Fast and Furious, a rapidly destabilized Middle East, and the effects of a dismal economy that was made worse by Obama’s socialist leaning governing principles. Moving to such a place would be considered a consolation prize and take the family as far away from politics while Obama licked his wounds in luxury for many years. You can read the polling information for yourself at the below link:
So it’s not hard to imagine that Obama was simply going through the motions of the election giving his speeches and campaigning so to avoid having to do any real work at The White House. And it is easy to see now why he was so placid in the first debate with Mitt Romney. A mansion like the one Obama and his wife are moving to is a dream come true for many, and for such small minds like Obama, is more than he could ever hope to obtain on his own efforts, so retirement in that palace looked pretty good and being far away from politics seemed even better. That is—until the wheels came off over the Benghazi murders, and it was learned that the story The White House had provided to explain it away wasn’t sticking, and people were asking questions.
The Benghazi debacle is so serious that it is highly likely that people from the Obama administration will go to jail, and this incident has threatened to ruin the escape to paradise plans that the Obamas had, because once they enter back into the private sector, Obama may be pulled into the fray to explain who knew what and when they knew it. This meant that if Obama was no longer president he would lose the ability to issue Executive Orders as he did with Fast and Furious to hide the administration crimes over that failure. And if Obama lost The White House to Mitt Romney he would lose the ability to protect not only himself, but many of his friends from future prosecution. So the new strategy going into October of 2012, especially the last two weeks of the month as it was noticed that the public polling was tightening up perfectly to reflect the dismal news of the internal polling, that Obama would have to get mean and nasty on the campaign trail and fight for his life—because in a lot of way’s—he is.
This explains the drastic shift in personal attacks even when polling shows that the President is liked by women, and women prefer not to see people treating others with such aggression. Obama knows that he has no choice but to pound away at Romney and hope to provoke him into a mistake that will truly cut into the internal poll—because the women demographic is already figured into the internal polling. All Obama can do is hope to make Romney flinch and reveal a major mistake that will cost him the election. But Romney isn’t biting because he has the same polling data—and knows that if he just keeps doing what he has been that he will win comfortably over President Obama.
The only way to have justice is to remove Obama from The White House. There are serious crimes committed during his administration that make Watergate and the Iran Contra Affair look like children’s games. Obama looks to be facing court rooms as a defendant for many years in a never-ending parade of paybacks for all the bridges he burnt as President, and all the crimes he succeeded in committing as he fulfilled his obligations to his friends of the clandestine Weather Underground as a good soldier for the push of world peace through socialist expansion. For Obama, paradise will have to wait one way or the other, if he loses—as he’s projected, he will be ripped to shreds legally. If he manages to win, he will be ripped to shreds politically. Either way, the future does not look bright for President Barack Hussein Obama.
The best way to see justice done is to show up and vote as planned, so that the formula for the internal polling is not interrupted. All people need to do to see the people responsible for the many crimes committed under the Obama watch is to vote him out of office and let the process take care of itself under Constitutional merit.
I don’t know if my favorite home town reporter in Cincinnati is Ben Swann of Channel 19, or Brendan Keefe of Channel 9. I’m a big fan of both reporters. They represent “excellence” in reporting to the highest degree. But in this particular case, on this particular day Ben Swann had the testicular fortitude to ask President Obama in a face to face interview about the presidential kill list that has caused a lot of anxiety among people who have been paying attention. Watch this!
Be sure to write Channel 19 and let them know you support Ben Swann and his hard-hitting reporting. Most reporters would have been satisfied to even get an interview with the president, and would have never risked asking such a tough question. But Ben Swann, acting out of journalistic integrity drove all the way across Ohio on a Sunday afternoon to interview Obama in northern Ohio, and when he got in front of the President, he asked him one of the hardest hitting questions Obama has had to answer in person during his entire term. That took guts—serious guts.
Many of us are on that list, so thank you Ben Swann. It is the job of a reporter to keep politicians in check so that secrecy can’t shroud sinister intentions. And the Obama Kill list is one of the most sinister leaks to ever come out of any White House. It was Channel 19 through Ben Swann that put the president in the hot seat, where he belongs, and did everyone in America a tremendous service.
I waited a couple of days to calm down before stating my opinion of the Eastwood speech at the RNC Convention just prior to Mitt Romney being officially nominated as the Republican nomminee for President of the United States. The panicked Romney aide behind the stage at the Convention who said cringing as the speech time on stage exceeded the 5 minute mark and was way off-key from the typical stuffy Republican stage setup, “You don’t edit Clint Eastwood” was absolutely correct. You don’t “edit” Clint Eastwood. Eastwood is one of the most recognizable names in the world not because he sat quietly while others told him what to do, but because he has often embarked on wild chances and taken great risk upon himself and others in the building of his international persona. He has an elevated level of understanding of what audiences want to see, and his speech certainly reflected it. His knowledge of what an audience wants to see far exceeds the knowledge of the typical 30 to 40-year-old PR specialists handling Romney’s campaign, and they are not qualified to “edit” Clint Eastwood.
I knew what to expect when Clint Eastwood took the stage because I have watched the film icon give hundreds of interviews over the years, and most of them are just like that. Eastwood does not like to use notes, Teleprompters, or come across with flattened authenticity. To understand what Eastwood thinks deep down inside all anyone has to do is watch some of his most personal films, like White Hunter Black Heart, and Bronco Billy. Nothing Eastwood said on stage just minutes before the heavily scripted acceptance speech of Mitt Romney came as a surprise to me.
I was impressed to learn that Mitt Romney personally invited Eastwood to speak. It shows that Romney as a manager can identify talent thinking outside the box and will likely surround himself with good people like Paul Ryan when he gets the presidential job. But Romney was not giving Eastwood any kind of break in letting him speak. Unlike the speeches by Paul Ryan, Scott Walker, Marc Rubio and many others that were carefully scripted, Eastwood was not, and the Romney people wouldn’t dare ask the legendary actor to do such a silly thing. Romney like all politicians sought from Eastwood credibility, and to show that prestigious members of the Hollywood community supported Republicans, and that not all Hollywood was in the corner of Barack Obama. That message was so important to Romney that he had Eastwood give the last independent speech before his own introduction, and he got what he wanted in Clint Eastwood. To me, that shows great vision and instinct even if the Romney handlers were dumbstruck by the performance.
I was however baffled by the criticism, many saying that Eastwood looked like a stumbling fool on stage, a senile old man. Eastwood’s hair was a wreck, his manner seemed unorganized, and he was crude and insulting. But the biggest criticism of all is that he sucked all the air out of the room and had people talking about his speech the next day instead of Romney. Well, news flash, I could have told the Romney people exactly what Eastwood was going to do. I was so unsurprised by his speech that my wife and I hardly noticed it because in the Hoffman house, Clint Eastwood is the closest thing to a religious icon anyone will find. Over my dresser are two pictures of Clint Eastwood carefully framed and I look at them every day. My DVD collection has every single Clint Eastwood movie ever made, and they have been watched, and watched, and watched again. I even have the T.G. Sheppard album that features a duet with Clint Eastwood called “MAKE MY DAY.” For many years my family has ushered in each New Year by watching all 5 Dirty Harry films on New Year’s Eve and New Years Day. No football games, no parties, just Clint Eastwood movies with him playing Dirty Harry. Every young person in my family who has had to drive around in a car with me has had to listen to me playing that song while we drive. I simply love the man. I admire his grit and ability to age well every bit as much as the toughness he exhibited in his youthful movies that made him an international star. Eastwood has not been afraid to piss off people before, people he had admired greatly, specifically John Wayne when that cowboy icon was up in arms over Eastwood’s film direction, and acting in the movie High Plains Drifter, which Wayne felt was an insult to the American Cowboy image he helped to craft. Eastwood’s portrayal in that film as a “hell hound” returning from the dead to punish an entire town for the betrayal of their sheriff crossed many established lines of thinking in the early 1970’s. It is so refreshing to see that the 82-year-old Clint Eastwood is still not afraid to take a chance to make his point and is much smarter than the people around him. Even after a lifetime well lived, Clint Eastwood is still authentic to his own personal beliefs and cannot be swept up in the tide of politics. Eastwood showed up as a favor to the Romney Campaign and at no point did he get wrapped up in the glitter. To Eastwood, he knows just him being there helps Romney. But Romney does not help Clint. The sacrifice was purely on Eastwood’s end.
When I give public speeches and other presentations I do not use notes because I learned it from watching the many lectures of Joseph Campbell, and interviews with Clint Eastwood. The reason is that carefully prepared speeches come out sounding fake. It is much better to speak from the heart. Now on the downside, a public speaker without notes sometimes rolls through sentences while stringing together thoughts. People expecting Eastwood to give a polished performance like his younger speakers at the Convention have simply become used to the well oiled machine that has become the political norm. When Clint Eastwood went on stage, I know he was thinking he had to hit all the marks the Romney people told him to hit, but he was going to do his own thing as he usually does. Knowing Clint Eastwood, he went up on stage with a metaphorical idea he came up with while listening to the other speeches of the evening, and he wanted to use the “empty chair” to convey how we all feel about President Obama and politics in general. Most of the directors at the RNC failed to grasp the metaphor, and that is their problem. Eastwood figured that it’s easier to ask for forgiveness than permission, so what the hell. Everyone in the room wanted somebody to take a shot at President Obama that was stylish and worked on any levels, and Eastwood had the guts to do it.
When people say “if I were to die tomorrow” they mean they would do things differently if they knew they did not have to live with the consequences which implies that they would be willing to live with little lies in their lives if they know they have to wake up tomorrow and face the music. In Eastwood’s case, he has lived his life this way for a long time, and now that he’s 82, he could die tomorrow. He could die at anytime, and he knows it, and is comfortable with that knowledge, but he’s not about to leave this earth being a stooge for a political looter, who simply wanted to use Eastwood’s image to prop up his own credibility.
Clint Eastwood detests–especially in politics–over grooming, too much make-up, and cardboard cutout people. Oddly enough, some of the appeal of Paul Ryan is that he represents an Eastwood style of politician, no-nonsense, fit, smart, and practical. When he first took the VP position his own hair and clothing was a bit sloppy, and that is appealing because it shows that Ryan cared more about his work than his appearance. But in two weeks once the Romney handlers began to “manage him—Ryan received a nice $300 haircut and is getting a taste of the “looters life” and it is obvious that he’s starting to like it. You can see it by the way he scowled at Eastwood’s speech looking at his watch in quit protest. I would offer to Ryan not to forget who he is, and to not get too wrapped up in images. When Eastwood, one of the greatest film directors of all time went on stage with his hair a mess—without a single speech note—without a care about his future and how the Romney people might scowl at what he said—he did every bit of it on purpose. Clint Eastwood had a very good idea that what he was about to say would be analyzed heavily, criticized, and belittled. He knew that the finger-pointing politicians would run for cover and attempt to distance themselves from him within seconds. Eastwood’s intention in his speech was for one last time in his life on a big stage to show everyone viewing just what is wrong in politics, and why people have lost faith in the two-party system. Everything he did was on purpose to be analyzed, and talked about for years.
Eastwood’s goal on stage that night at the RNC was not to be liked. He was already liked. Mitt Romney simply wanted to show the world that movie stars like him too. That was the entire purpose of bringing Clint Eastwood to the RNC convention. Nobody gives a damn about the crap a politician says. And it should come as no surprise that a movie actor could show up and take all the attention from the other looters in the room. And nobody gives a rat’s ass about what the media thinks, because those are the same idiots who “made” Obama. It’s the heart and soul of America that Clint Eastwood was speaking to and that is why the people who enjoyed his speech did, and the people all caught up in the wrong aspects of politics called it “strange,” and like “an episode of Twin Peaks.” Even Glenn Beck belittled the Eastwood speech, which really lowered Beck’s grade in my book. I was planning to go see Beck when he comes to Cincinnati in a few weeks, but based on his comments over the Eastwood speech, I don’t think I will value what he says. I might listen to him every now and then on the radio, but I won’t go out of my way to see him in public like I did when he came to Wilmington. Beck like Ryan, Anne Romney and Scott Walker based on their comments and behavior over Eastwood is looking too closely at the established order of things, and it is that order that people are sick of. Beck has done a good job asking for courage among politicians, and out of all people, he should understand what Eastwood was trying to do. But even he is too wrapped up in the “established” thinking to see what’s really going on, and that is disappointing. Like Ryan, Beck is becoming too big, and his concern over his own legacy is starting to overtake his reasonable assessment. Politics should not be so well rehearsed, it should not be so scripted, and it should not be praised as royalty. When Eastwood took the stage he did so as a rebel who didn’t comb his hair, and was going to speak from the heart. That should be honored.
The drifting from sentence to sentence that Eastwood was doing, especially after the 5 minute mark was because the red light was flashing, telling him to wrap up his speech. When I speak in public, I get told often to wrap it up, because if people let me, I will talk all day. But in Eastwood’s case, he knew that the directors of the RNC event were not happy with what he was doing, and that what he was saying was going to hurt. But he had to do it anyway, and he controlled his emotions very well, picking carefully which thing to say next so that it was right at the edge of acceptance, without crossing the line. It was not that Eastwood was a senile fool on stage, but a man walking a tightrope, and he was in no hurry to fall. He took one step after another to deliver one of the most scathing rebukes of a sitting president ever delivered on such a large public stage, and he did it with all the bravado that made him one of the biggest movie stars in the world. Mitt Romney got what he wanted whether he was consciously aware of what he was asking for or not. As I said before, Romney is showing a good instinct for hiring the right kind of people for the job, and bringing Eastwood to the convention was a brilliant idea. But I would caution those same Republicans not to distance themselves from what Eastwood did and said. Clint Eastwood did the Republican Party a tremendous favor at his own personal risk. The politicians involved should accept it at its value, which is great, and not distance themselves from him. To do so is to betray what they proclaim they are fighting for.
The American public is sick and tired of contrived, plastic, politics. They want to hear things told from the heart, and they like to see the soul of the person speaking. Glenn Beck is a great public speaker, and even he writes down notes in outline form so he can deliver punctual presentations to the public and not bounce around when he gets stuck in front of 60,000 people like Eastwood was doing. But notes are still a crutch, and it takes great courage to stand in front of so many people with only your intellect as your alley, which is why Eastwood does not speak with notes. It’s also why he’s 82 years old and still able to speak with such authority as he did at the RNC convention. His wits were clearly about him, as he delivered a speech that worked on many levels, not just a superficial, visual one.
If I was disenfranchised with politics before the Eastwood speech, I am certainly more so now, based on the political response to it. The Republicans are the good guys in my book and even the good guys are deeply tainted. I can see where the next line of battles will occur in the years following the buffoon Obama, and it will not be with the professional politicians in the room at the RNC convention or their handlers. I stand with Clint Eastwood completely over anyone else from the RNC event. It’s not that the man can do no wrong in my eyes. I can think of a few times he has let me down, as in making the film Tightrope, and a few others, but I trust that Eastwood makes every attempt to be honest with himself, and his intellect has benefited from his honesty. So when he says something, I trust what it is. I may not agree with it all the time, but I know there was a thought process that delivered the thought, and it didn’t come from some snot-nosed speech writer fresh out of college who doesn’t have a lick of experience in real life. I don’t want to hear Romney deliver a carefully controlled and well-orchestrated speech given to him by a hundred such handlers. I want to hear the authenticity of what a man is, not what kind of image he can conger up for himself. It is a sad state when it is an actor who is the most real person in a room, and at the RNC convention, Clint Eastwood was the most honest. Anne Romney should still be grateful that a person like Eastwood is supporting her husband and not make sly comments about how there should have been more contrived video of her family instead of the Eastwood speech. Nobody gives a shit lady. Don’t even think about turning into another Washington princess before the seat from the previous fat ass duchess has left it.
It should say everything to everyone watching the Eastwood convention speech that an “empty chair” was the most interesting thing that happened at the RNC convention. The empty chair worked on many levels of psychology. It obviously represented President Obama who has spent his entire presidency running for re-election, and not doing the job he was elected to do. But it also represented the emptiness present in politics. I would not put it passed Eastwood that the idea came not while on the plane from California, but while the Romney people where giving him their talking points to incorporate into his speech. The idea for the chair was meant as a warning not just to Obama, but to the Republican Party to not just become more empty minds in empty seats holding public office. It was a warning not to be afraid to shake it up a little, and be unpredictable, because that’s how you get the media eating out of your hand instead of the other way around—and that is a lesson that the Republican Party hasn’t been able to achieve since Ronald Reagan was president, who like Eastwood knew all the tricks of the trade because they are actors who have mastered public image. The Eastwood speech was not a debacle, it was a brilliant metaphor intended for minds too dim to see it. But the resonance of Eastwood, in what felt like one last public performance was a potent one that sadly shows how bad our political system really is. It revealed that even people I thought “got it” still don’t and I won’t bend over backwards ever again to listen to what they have to say, because the mind behind the thought is still in its infancy.
Yesterday Romney came to Cincinnati. I was invited, but I did not go, mainly because of the ill feelings I have after listening to the controlled finger-pointing after the Eastwood speech. In a couple of weeks, Glenn Beck is coming to town and I was planning to attend, but won’t be now. I’ll still support both people, and in Beck’s case I enjoy 80% of his work most of the time. But to jump on the Eastwood bashing bandwagon tells me a lot about these people. When it comes to picking and choosing, I’ll stick with the “Man with No Name” over the “Name” of a politician or political commentator. Because there is far more value in the man who arrives at 82 years of age and has not been seduced by the glittery lights of politics over the men who are enamored by it and became that way in a much shorter span of their lifetimes. I will not go out of my way to see those first people speak in person. But if Eastwood announced that he was coming to Cincinnati tomorrow to eat a hamburger but would not be giving any public statements I would drop what I was doing and attend, because there is more manliness in the authenticity of sticking to a set of beliefs than the person who follows the trends of belief. The world is so full of the later, and is in desperate need of the former. The value of a wordless bite into a hamburger by Clint Eastwood holds more merit than a whole string of convention speeches by polished politicians and their puppet handlers of orthodox opinion. The aide was right, “you don’t edit Clint Eastwood.” His brand is proven, and if you ask him to speak, you take what you get. In the case of politics, a movie actor is much more important than a roomful of politicians, and that sad fact is a reality that cannot be covered up with fancy lights and balloons, but is exposed by the presence of a simple–empty–chair.
