Why Marijuana is so Devastating to Any Human Culture

Regarding this marijuana dispensary that is opening in Lebanon, Ohio and the sentiment in the city of Cincinnati to decriminalize pot, that is not a victory. It is simply yielding to the pull of below the line thinking and the lazy desires of the masses to erode away expectations so that they don’t feel so bad about themselves. That is the overall trend of the average pot user, to hide in the shadows and to escape the pressure of expectation which drives all of civilization forward. To answer Chris Smitherman’s comment about the sensibility of continued criminalization of marijuana, the value system that is against pot use is the same one that advances our society in every way, it’s a standard that the human race requires to develop. Saying no to pot and all drugs really is saying yes to civilization and its growth. But you can’t have both. Pot advocates will point to history and say the Egyptians used drugs, that Shakespeare used even marijuana to evoke his literary classics, but I say, where are they now? If you want a society that works and advances, you can’t have a society that endorses drug use. The two just don’t go together and it forces us to make a choice. In a nutshell, that is why I’m against drug use and advocate for their continued criminalization.

Over the last couple of years, I have really developed a respect for the game of golf and baseball. Its not that I have time for it now, but golf is a game that takes time to play and I like the above the line nature of it. Often at courses there are rules that players must have collars on their shirts and even that their shirts must be tucked in. What you don’t see typically on a golf course are a bunch of losers smoking pot. The same in baseball to a large extent. People aren’t going to be smoking a lot of pot and expect to hit a 95-mph baseball. And in golf, drugs and accuracy just aren’t conducive to one another. I like those sports because they force people to rise up to their natures rather than to bow down to their below the line animal sentiments.

When I was younger and the concept of even being able to play golf was a far-off objective, because I couldn’t afford to spend the money to play the game, and I certainly didn’t have the free time to play. For the first thirty years of my adult life I literally worked 7 days a week, so I didn’t have any four hour windows to play such a game. But in the back of my mind I always enjoyed the above the line nature of the game, the well-tended landscaping. The good dress of the players and participants. I did marry a country club girl in the heyday of the Beckett Ridge Country Club. In fact our wedding reception was held at the club as her parents were members of good standing back then. But I was always a bit of a rebel and always wanted to do my own thing. Rules weren’t then and still aren’t attractive, but I do appreciate as a baseline a standard of behavior that sets goals high and forces others to live up to them.

In that regard as society has shown less respect for a value system, to me golf courses and country clubs are much more appealing than they used to be for me. And probably because I’m in a period of my life where I can actually participate, that likely is the biggest reason. And I would argue that the same trend trajectory is present in pot advocate supporters, only in reverse. They look at their lives and see where they have made all these mistakes along the way and they know, or at least feel, that they will never be able to get into a country club, or be able to play golf with some friends and they instead advocate for the removal of standards so that they don’t have to feel so bad about themselves. That pot facility in Lebanon is supposed to be a medical marijuana dispensary that requires a doctor’s prescription. But drug users know they can get a glaucoma diagnosis from any second-rate doctor and they are all set to buy. But to even get the drugs it encourages people to yield to their weaknesses rather than overcoming them and that is the source of the whole marijuana debate. Even if we take away the pot smoke and just look at the consumption of mariuman in any way for pain relief, what we are doing is yielding to our weaknesses and seeking a below the line judgment to hide behind, rather than forcing ourselves to do better and work harder at life. That is the ultimate price of any society that embraces drugs to cut away the tensions of their lives. Tensions are created by expectation. Not having the ability to manage those expectations is the larger social problem that is worsened by the use of pot.

The more that our society rejects standards of good conduct, the more my rebellious side wants to embrace those standards so these days the uppity trends of golf are very appealing as opposed to the grungy, dirty freaks of below the line counterculture. When people make fun of the standards that are quite common in golf, what they are really saying is that they are too lazy to live up to them so they’d rather hide behind excuses to not participate because they fear they will never measure up to the standard. And pot helps them hide that fear through intoxication and social stigma. So to get back to the question, what does it hurt if people in Cincinnati are carrying around bags of pot? Well, it accepts a lower standard in our culture which will ultimately destroy it. Its one thing to have laws on the books and to not enforce them because there is no jail space and the cops don’t really have the heart to do so. But decriminalizing it means that the standard is ripped away and that society can then accept the below the line behavioral target. And that is where things literally fall apart.

I was listening to 96 Rock this morning and they were very excited about the opening of the Lebanon medical marijuana dispensary. Their reaction to it was relief because they will admit that they aren’t the brightest tacks in the box. And as musical rock advocates they have no ambition in life to be anything great, they don’t want to invent the next boon that saves mankind from its perpetual quest to always regress along the Vico Cycle. In a world of standards, they are OK with saying to it, we are the losers, get used to it. But with the legalization of pot, suddenly that stigma is removed for them and they are now in the mainstream. And they find they are enjoying that, because the standard of behavior has been removed and now anybody can join. That is what happens to failing country clubs when they relax their dress codes and suddenly let anybody play under any conditions. The club will go out of business quickly thereafter. Standards are what bring value to society. Without those standards, everything is in retreat and that is why marijuana or even medical marijuana is a sign of a society on the decline. That that is all the argument that is needed about why decriminalization is such a travesty.

We Should Never Legalize Marijuana in Any Way

Here’s the thing and I’ve been saying it for years. But don’t just take my word for it. Read the book by Alex Berenson, who is one of “those” people, a Yale graduate and former New York Times reporter, called Tell Your Children the Truth About Marijuana, Mental Illness, and Violence. There is nothing good about marijuana use or its legalization. Not even the supposed pain relief that can come from it. For such people, use something else, because there is nothing, and I mean nothing good about smoking pot, eating pot or smelling pot. It lowers IQs, it actually contributes to severe psychiatric detriment in a lot of people, and it generally lowers the general output of any society. It is one of the worst things a society could possibly legalize, and it is the business of every man woman and child not to be on some hippie libertarian point of view, but is a direct contributor to any society’s downfall. My position on “pot” has always been clear, but this very good book is the one for our ages. Everyone should read it……………everyone.

When we wonder why there are so many school shootings I would bet all the money in the world that the average school shooter, or any mass shooter for that matter, has had a history of marijuana use. While its true that not every user becomes a detrimental psychopath, there are a percentage of people who do suffer such mental breakdowns after using pot to make the argument that marijuana is a direct contributor to the most severe cases of mental illnesses in our country. And when some loser is sitting around feeling sorry for themselves because they have been picked on by students in a school, or some girl rejected their advancements for mating, and they are smoking a joint while listening to a bunch of depressing “dead head” music then decide they are going to get a gun and start shooting up a classroom somewhere, don’t think for a second that a society that endorses pot use is going to come and take away all our guns to make society safer by eliminating the Second Amendment.

Even for those who don’t become psychopaths while using pot, any sustained use does lower IQs and that is a trait that is clearly seen among our population. Yes the reports have been done on the subject and Berenson did the work of putting them in one place so everyone could read them for themselves. The politics of the matter is that governments have spent themselves into oblivion taking all the tax money they could get legally so they are looking for another revenue stream. And so are get rich quick investors who have signed up to put money into the legalization efforts that are so prominent in our society. Like any drug user they are looking for a quick hit to get more money into their spending pockets. For them its like a consumer with too much credit card dept who takes out another credit card just to by groceries for the week, because all their good money is going to interest. Legalizing pot is the worst thing that could be done because by making it another legal revenue stream to collect taxes on, they are ultimately destroying their good money revenue streams in the future. A society of pot users will not make a state or country’s GDP better, it will get worse, far worse.

There is nothing funny about pot use, or even the recreational use of being stoned at a music festival. It’s all bad stuff. Since it was introduced into our American society primarily during the counterculture movement, America has declined, morally, and economically. While our free market capitalism has hidden the fact from accountants and governments, it is only in the restrictions most countries have economically limited themselves to that has done most of the work in concealing the truth. America could have been doing much better if a major part of our social network was not regular pot users. The lack of social rejection for the product is a direct contributor to our generally poor performance as a country for a number of years now, especially going back into the 1960s. Even my neighbor, the former Speaker of the House, John Boehner is now an advocate of pot. As a former Republican, he would probably still call himself one, but he’s now a lobbyist in Washington for the legalization of the stuff, and people like him don’t want to know what’s in Alex’s book. Because its too inconvenient to those who want the marijuana revenue stream to contribute to their mounting debts, especially in states like Illinois and California. Those recreational marijuana users are not going to go out and start new businesses that contribute positively to the next great GDP contributors. They’re going to be sitting home trying to collect unemployment while laughing at the colors of their room and looking for a bag of Doritos.

And yet we sit around wondering why so many people are getting hooked on opioids and why our general intelligence is lacking in so many categories, and additionally, wonder why mental health has clearly been declining. We have a society that seeks to put kids on any form of drug for conditions like ADD or whatever else a school counselor can think of to make a teacher’s life easier in managing a classroom of kids without having their bored minds lashing out for attention. Just drug them to shut them up is our approach so it should be no surprise that they grow up smoking pot or wanting to. It is really easy for a non-user like me to see in people who are using the drug. The lower IQs are noticeable and that was never the point of public school, to lower intelligence. It was to increase it, but pot only lowers mental ability.

I could go on and on forever on the detriments of marijuana use. And you won’t hear me advocating for alcohol either. I think every attempt at mental impairment is a bad thing to do. But with marijuana there is the additional effects of psychosis that permeate the use. It’s not something we talk about often but we all know people who are just a little bit crazy. Marijuana makes it worse for those people and we aren’t discussing it because in politics they are looking to pot to cover the bottomless pit in taxation that they have created for themselves. That’s ultimately how John Boehner got involved in lobbying for the product. Like any K-Street whore, he is willing to speak on behalf of anybody who pays him. And so is most of the media, especially the entertainment media. However, there is nothing harmless about marijuana. It is bad stuff. I wouldn’t even call it a gateway drug because even if users never moved on to cocaine, or meth, marijuana is bad enough all by itself. In most cases it takes some time to bring about the bad elements, but that doesn’t make it any less deadly. Before I leave you on this subject I would encourage you to read the following little article. Then tell me what you think about the link between mass murderers and pot. While the percentage of people who smoke pot and then turn to psychotic violence is not in the masses, there is enough of an effect to point to the mental illness contributors primarily being evoked by the effects of marijuana use. And that makes it the business of all of us.

If You Support Drug Legalization You are a Domestic Terrorist: Why Jeff Sessions and the Trump administration are right on their stance against marijuana

 

I seldom listen to WLW anymore, but I happened to have it on the other day and heard the pot advocate Scott Sloan ramble on about how bad Attorney General Jeff Sessions was for his reversal of Obama era polices on the prosecutions of marijuana.  Essentially the Trump administration is imposing federal guidelines on pot while going against states rights—where most small government advocates find this a reprehensible situation.  I myself am a states’ rights person over federal imposition.  However, I am emphatically in support of Jeff Sessions on this issue and the Trump administration in general.  I think pot should be illegal in every way, shape, and form and I want the harshest prosecutions for anybody possessing it or selling it to anybody under any conditions.  Marijuana is poison for the mind—just as alcohol is.  For the record, I’m not a fan of any mind altering substance.   I occasionally enjoy a caffeinated beverage such as a Coke or Mello Yello, but I mostly drink either water or milk—and that’s it.  No coffee, tea, or wine. If I’m out on a special occasion, I might have a beer or two but intoxication is always off-limits for me.  I think the entire premise is stupid, of intoxication, and I certainly think it is destructive to inhale a toxic substance that alters brain activity—so under no conditions do I support pot use—not even to make a rope out of the hemp. I hate the plant and all the products that come from it.

Anybody who supports drug use in any culture is an enemy of that society.  If history is studied there isn’t any culture that survived for more than a few hundred years if they abused drugs or participated in mind altering experiments—and this includes shamans from hunting and gathering cultures.  One thing that is for certain, if you look back at the Indians of North America or the witch doctors of voodoo, mind altering substances were part of their societies and religious perspectives—and they have led in every instance to a declining culture.  There is no future in America where a society of pot smokers will build on the moon, or spread into the vastness of space with great innovations if intoxication is the aim of their leisure activity.

While libertarians like Rand Paul think of themselves as fiscally conservative, but socially liberal, point to the billions of dollars that the pot industry can produce in tax revenue their aims are shortsighted because the industrial loss to other market sectors that require intellectual ambition will decline over time.  A thriving pot industry anywhere means that it is at the expense of social ambition.  Pot is an enemy to thought, it is to surrender our natural faculties to the numbness provided by a toxic ingredient.  It is for the weak at heart and those with low ambition in life.  It is poison to any hope at sustained productivity.

History for many people is only a few decades deep and many will say that during the Prohibition period that the government created the alcohol industry by making it illegal, and there is some truth to that.  By making something a forbidden fruit, you make it enticing to the natural rebellion which makes humans, human.  The need we all have to push the barriers and to see what might happen if we do this or that is part of the fun of drug abuse for people.  But consider this, this intoxication culture that we have today is only 100 years old.  While there have been saloons and pubs for centuries they were considered something of an oddity in most family lives—something that happened in towns, and there has always been destructive attributes associated with alcohol.  Many marriages have been destroyed by alcohol and a lot of children’s lives were ruined by it—and there are arguments that any government that might want to have a productive society would want to keep its people from destroying themselves with intoxication.  But we live in a free society, so this isn’t a government problem, but an ethical one.  People shouldn’t want to become intoxicated.  In the values that we all share one of them should be a sentiment which respects thought over intoxication.  We don’t know what impact our last century will have on our future—but looking at it the seeds for destruction are already planted.  Will our society endure for another 100 years with the intoxication culture that we presently have—I’d say not?  I’d say it’s impossible to advance beyond where we are now with a culture of adults and young people who crave to destroy their minds with intoxication.  People who support pot legalization and alcohol abuse are obviously thinking in the short-term of a few hundred years where my concerns are in the thousands.

If you study any ancient culture there is always a pattern that I refer to quite a lot, the Vico cycle which is a term James Joyce used in his great work Finnegan’s Wake. That term comes from Giambattista Vico who essentially mused that all societies go through four basic phases, first as a theocracy, then an aristocracy, followed by democracy then anarchy.  We can see traces of all four of these phases around the world right now depending on the development of each society. Because of air travel and the internet we have the unusual condition of all these various stages around the world clashing at the same time with one another.  We have politicians for instance who think of themselves as an aristocracy, while we have people striving for democracy.  Then we have these ANTIFA groups of Marxists who are demanding anarchy—while we have Islamic terrorists attempting to impose a global theocracy.  Our concern in this present age should be to move beyond this vicious cycle, but we are unable to reconcile it, so we have turned to mind altering substances to come to terms with these primitive forces.  Our biology tells us to retreat into the Vico cycle, our intellects say move forward and that conflict has created the need to shut down the voices with numbness.  In so doing we will surrender our opportunity to advance and will yield to the forces of history and simply vanish to begin again as we have all over the world so many countless times.

The Trump administration understands what I’m saying and they are acting on that knowledge for good or ill.  What good is state sovereignty if there aren’t any states in a few years to be sovereign?  What good is a new industry that produces billions of dollars in new revenue if it destroys the GDP of a nation by the trillions?  How can any tattooed, dope smoking, nose piercing libertarian think that entertainment options such as pornography and pot can lead to a stable and constructive family life?   If families are not the priority of conservatives and society in general, then what’s the point?  Without families there isn’t any future, because that’s how we transfer values across the centuries, to our children, grandchildren, ad ifinitum.  All pot supporters are willing to trade the short-term fun of intoxication for the long-term aims of social structure that can endure into the future. Pot supporters don’t have vision that extends them beyond their current century, they figure they won’t be around, so who cares?  And that’s why anybody who loves America and wants to see it endure even if its unpopular to do, will ridicule pot and the practice of destroying minds just to have a little fun.  Anybody who truly loves America would take a stand against drugs of all kinds—even alcohol.  And because of that I admire Jeff Sessions and the Trump administration for doing just that.  Trump doesn’t drink and that’s part of what makes him great.  And he certainly doesn’t smoke dope.  A lot of his enemies wished he did, because it would make him easier to beat.  But because he doesn’t they can’t.  That should be a lesson for the rest of America—nobody should ever seek intoxication of any kind, and instead should feed their minds with good things that help it grow and take our civilization to the next great step for the first time in history.

Pot Users are the Clear and Present Enemy: The real reason California legalized recreational marijuana

There is nothing that comes good out of the legalization of pot, and it was quite astonishing to see how much exuberance there was on New Year’s Day when California made legal the recreational use of the vile drug marijuana. All of human civilization is built upon thought, no matter what the political predilections of the people—thinking is the core element in all society. Without thought there simply is no society and if you track the paths of the supporters of pot, you will find they nearly perfectly line up with abortion fanatics, global warming losers and other anti-capitalists of the political left. They are a contradictory lot of people who can be proven so by their support of every turtle crossing to hold up new roads and railways in California and their severe climate restrictions on new housing, but they support the utter destruction of the human mind with mind altering substances like pot. The reason they support the legalization of marijuana is that they are anti-human and are earth first fanatics who see the human race as a threat to the furtherance of our home planet. They are the natural extensions of the Marxist hippies which splashed on the scene halfway through the last century and they are intellectually aligned with anything that takes the human race back to the sun worshiping primitives of yesteryear.

The legalization of pot is the sign of a declining civilization and it reminds me of the many shopping malls around the country that are losing their brick and mortar stores to online shopping. I can think of one such mall in Cincinnati near where I live that was a thriving escapade of energy and excitement just a decade ago. Now it sits abandoned and decaying rapidly—and the reason is that the mall management failed to take proper action when they could have to save the enterprise. When their numbers began to decline at the start of the online shopping revolution, the mall management turned toward the youth to save it. They allowed for many nightclubs to infest its halls and they had late hours at the movie theater and gaming area to attract young people. Well, the mall was near several black neighborhoods where money was not easy to come by and there were many white neighborhoods nearby that were also poor, so turf wars erupted at the mall which scared away all the nice families who might otherwise spend their money there. Once mall management realized the error of their ways it was too late. The clientele of that establishment had found better places to spend their money and the customers never came back.

In a lot of ways that is what these states are doing when they legalize pot—they are looking for that short-term boost to their tax collecting endeavors while appealing to the young and the reckless. The youth to get more party laws enacted might therefore be expected to vote for Democrats to keep the fun going—but what they don’t see is that people move with their feet and soon there won’t be any economical means to help the state stay open for business. The logic of having a society that can function on drug activity is not realistic. Drug users of course will point to Amsterdam in Europe and Denmark as examples where this type of live and let live activity can thrive—but that’s in Europe—and it’s a very short-term social position. It cannot endure well into the future. When a state like California has to compete with Texas, Ohio, or Wyoming the people who support those high taxed states have options where in Europe they don’t. If you move from Amsterdam, the next socialist country like France and Germany have just as many problems. England is hardly a refuge, the housing prices are ridiculously high and the options for young people are quite bleak, because of their poor economic philosophies rooted in the work of Karl Marx.

Young people and those saddled with a lack of intelligence tend to view history by decades and often think of things that happened 30 years ago as being old. That is largely a condition of the political left in our modern era that teaches in public school that kids know more than their parents and that youth trumps experience—which of course it doesn’t. That is why they think from the vantage point of youth that they can legalize marijuana and that a society can thrive productively. It can’t, just as a drunk can’t be expected invent the next great step in human endeavor. A society of people stoned on pot are not going to advance civilization. No great society every sustained itself on intoxication—and it won’t start in California. There is nothing funny about intoxication—it is simply a step toward a culture in decline. The proper way to view civilization and the rules that govern each society is in the long view of 500 years or more. The question should be asked if any policy of social concern can enrich that society from the present to roughly 500 years in the future—and if it can, that is something to pursue. But to look at a society of pot users and think it could endure for even 50 years is a stretch. Pot use equates to a destroyed society and there is no flexibility in that assessment. It is a sure conclusion.

Many liberals who support the killing of humans through abortion—because they secretly think that the human species is something that should be nearly wiped away to protect the earth—also think that the American Indian is something special in the history of North America. The truth is that they were never Native Americans—they might be called rather native Chinese living in North America—or perhaps Vikings, Phoenicians—even Africans, but they came to be just as Americans did—they migrated from somewhere to start a life in a new world and they brought with them lots of stupid ideas. When George Washington was being inaugurated the various Indian nations were already in decline. If left to their own devices, they would have retreated into the primitive state of their ancestors as they emerged from the Ice Age. Their society was rooted heavily in sacrifice to the various gods of their mythology and they took mind altering substances as part of their socializing. The net result was that they were easy to beat when it came time to conduct Westward Expansion. Once beaten it was a tactic to get them addicted to alcohol due to their natural predilection for substance abuse and that pretty much sealed the deal on their claim to anything in North America. Many who support trends of less human intervention on earth are now seeking to turn the tables on Western Civilization by destroying the minds of our youth so that they are too stoned and drunk to further advance mankind into a Type 1 civilization—and that is precisely what is happening in California and these other places that are legalizing pot.

People will say that there are exceptions to this person or that who have smoked dope all their life and they were still bright functioning human beings. I suppose that may be true, although I have known many people who smoked a lot of pot (I never have and never will as it disgusts me) and all those people ended up dead beat losers—every one of them. I have watched so many lives be destroyed by pot use, and other drugs—alcohol included, that I have no faith that a society that accepts such intoxication can advance into the future. 100 years from now, the society that accepts pot as their recreation will be wiped away from the earth—which for progressives is the point. They will surely point to a possibility that Shakespeare smoked pot and declare that the intoxicant helps the mind—but they’d be wrong. There are no circumstances that pot is good for a human being looking forward to a fruitful future. It is a drug of decline and hopelessness. Every road that comes from pot leads to an end against a brick wall of human evolution and it’s a pathetic ingredient. It is in itself death which soothes an otherwise active mind to sleep perpetually giving victory to those aggressors in the world that hate the human race. It is not a coincidence that California will go out of its way to protect a rare fish, a forest of trees or even a specific kind of grass—but will support the destruction of human beings through the legalization of pot. That’s because they know pot will destroy the human race—its what they want. They want husks of human beings dead and vanquished like the poor fetuses of terminated pregnancies—yet they don’t want the guilt of actually killing anyone—so they have put their efforts behind pot to kill all humans and save the planet earth just long enough for it to be consumed by our own sun in a few billion years. Pot supports by their very nature don’t care about billions of years or even a 100 years. They are impatient ideologues of leftist philosophy with no concept of history—and they want only what they can see and touch right now which is a condition made worse by pot use. For those of us who do want to see a tomorrow—pot users are the clear and present enemy.
