Godzilla: A relatable character better than people

Today is a wonderful day to be alive. Why? Because a new Godzilla film is out and I love that particular movie monster—I understand him. I do not understand the cry baby cop on some television drama distraught over their many bad decisions in life. I do not understand the middle-aged man who would trade everything he built in life for sex with a 20-year-old girl. I do not understand a bunch of wives sitting around a table playing cards complaining about their husbands. But I do understand a rampaging monster that can pick up buildings and throw them around like toys.

I have always loved Godzilla. As a kid I watched the entire 1954 version ignoring the plot all together just to see the monster appear around the halfway mark. The boredom was worth the visual spectacle of a monster destroying everything in its path. One of my favorite films of all time is Godzilla versus King Kong—I will watch it to this very day when it’s on television. However, many of the reviewers, which are shown below seem to think that a Godzilla film is supposed to be about the human characters—and they are terribly mistaken. After watching the film they expected the humans to live up to the gigantic movie monster and were disappointed that they did not measure up. Here is what they said about the new 2014 version of the film.

“Edwards’ ‘Godzilla’ is a pleasingly paced 3-D spectacle that pays chilling homage to the artful legacy of the original 1954 film — Ishiro Honda’s ‘Gojira’ — while emerging as its own prodigious monster movie.” — Jessica Herndon, Associated Press.

“Someone should tell Warner Bros. that when they’ve got a presence as big as Godzilla, they don’t need movie stars, because frankly, who remembers the characters in a rampaging-kaiju movie anyway? Still, just to be safe, the studio has stuffed Gareth Edwards’ deafening, effects-driven reboot with an Oscar winner (Juliette Binoche), three Oscar nominees (Ken Watanabe, Sally Hawkins and David Strathairn), an Emmy winner (Bryan Cranston) and an Olsen sister, leaving scarcely enough screen time for the monster itself.” — Peter Debruge, Variety.

“Unlike last year’s disappointing ‘Pacific Rim,’ ‘Godzilla’ actually shows us its monsters without a scrim of rain and a cloak of darkness. And the thrill of the film is getting the chance to fetishize their sheer size and physicality as they rip through power lines and demolish buildings with their lashing tails. In its handful of moments like these, ‘Godzilla’ almost makes you feel like a kid again.” — Chris Nashawaty, Entertainment Weekly.

“This ‘Godzilla,’ though it surpasses Roland Emmerich’s 1998 Hollywood version, remains safely within the bounds of the modern action movie spectacular. “The title character looks imposing, in the CGI work of Peter Jackson’s Weta Digital sorcerers, but the movie is often so dark, using a palette of gray and brown, as if coasted in rust, that he’s hard to see. … And the human drama, mostly involving Joe Brody (Cranston), his wife Sandra (Juliette Binoche) and his son Ford (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), never clicks. Years ago when I was at the precipice of overcoming mankind and having my roots deep within its culture I would actually sit on the edge of Price Hill and conceive in my mind walking through the city of Cincinnati and treating it like Godzilla. At the time I was deeply involved in business and politics and felt I was at least equal to the most sophisticated elites within the buildings of the vast cityscape. I no longer felt reverence for meeting mayors, wealthy business owners, political power players and the intellectual gate-keepers—particularly from the University of Cincinnati. I had overcome the art community of Eden Park, the old money of Hyde Park and all their Yuppy children, the criminals of Over-the-Rhine, and the sports figures along the river—and I had outgrown them all.

It was easy for me to sit on that hill overlooking the city and imagine crushing everything intellectually, politically, and economically. At that point I felt I understood my childhood love of Godzilla. I was around 26 at the time.

I no longer relate to the human characters in most films and television shows. So when a film like Godzilla comes out, I am happy because I often feel that such characters were made for people like me. Thus it is a glorious day and the world is better because Godzilla is conceptually alive within it!

The Trouble With American Productivity: How cannibal cultures and religion destroy initiative

If you have ever tried to start a business, start a new product within a large organization, or make anything that involves the participation of the population at large you will undoubtedly have run up against tremendous opposition that needlessly seems intent to derail your plans. Deep pocket old money tends to purchase away opposition to their projects with political contributions and under the table buy-offs. But new money innovation has only one way through the gauntlet—and that is by surprise. A fledgling entrepreneur must hope that they can take the market by surprise before the parasites zero in and destroy their efforts. Currently in America—as in most places in the world, it is nearly impossible to do business as most organizations are plagued with do-nothing bureaucrats created by government for the purpose of job creation—without any zeal for production of any kind. They have a parasitic relationship with production—the key to any economic endeavor–and simply get in the way of creating anything of value. The reason for this issue is actually extremely complicated and must be understood by examining closely the map below. It is not enough to complain that the situation is one of economic theory or political philosophy—but is much more primal than that and extends back to the beginning of the human race.image

Looking at the map it will be seen the pattern of ritual cannibalism cultures as they flourished during various periods throughout the world. The map is useful and comes from the book Atlas of World Mythology: Way of the Seeded Earth Part II and is one of the most treasured books in my collection. The map is not concerned with periods by millennia so much as the pattern and residual effects of cultures that had foundations of cannibalism and human sacrifice in their societies. In Europe this was a dominate ideal which can clearly be seen in the Biblical translations that flourished in Europe during the times of the first printing presses and the Roman Catholic Church who built their version of Christianity around such ideals of sacrifice.

Across the Middle East it will also be noticed that the entire region from Greece down to the Persian Gulf had elements of cannibalism which should be obvious to the students of Zoroastrianism which became the foundation of Christianity and Islamic faith—both riddled with deep beliefs in sacrifice serving as their foundations. It should not be a surprise that the concept of Sharia Law allows for it’s followers to sacrifice themselves in this world for promises in the next—which is the basic premise behind the human bomb terrorism acts. The notion of human sacrifice is alive and well behind every Islamic terrorist. The goal of the terror is to convert people into Islamic faith through fear—to force them to take the path of least resistance. They are not asking people to become committed to the Muslim faith through religious purity—but through fear. This is a tribal remnant to their ancient tendency toward cannibalism. Their mythology which formulated the philosophy of their society is rooted in human sacrifice. The fundamentals of their faith believe falsely that something must be given up before something can be gained.

Cannibal cultures seen in the zones indicated on the above map tended to be agriculturally based. The workers of the fields at the time as they do today—tend to plant seeds in the ground and hope that the gods bring them rain to nourish the seeds to healthy crop yields. They felt they needed assurances that crops would grow prosperously and developed mythologies which attempted to appease nature by viewing the crops as gifts from some mystical source which desired some kind of payment. Because of this they developed human sacrifice rituals and other types of blood gifts hoping that they would not starve with bad crops.

The correct way to view agricultural activity then and now is to see the work of planting seeds as productive and the science as stable. If you perform the work, you tend to yield the results. This is why under American capitalism farmers tend to thrive where other countries not as free tend to starve if given the same type of land, the same access to water, and the same general labor force. The cannibal cultures of the past which led to the major religions of the world started with an incorrect premise that pointed their entire societies in the wrong direction. The emphasis of their religions is on sacrifice instead of productivity.

In business this old irrational notion congers itself up in the bureaucrats against industry who still believe that something must be sacrificed if something is to be built—as if all things were created in a finite state and that something must be given up to have something new. Job creation is an act of invention—of making something that wasn’t there before like a painting, a sculpture, or a literary work. A goat doesn’t have to be sacrificed to create a job. The gods do not hand them out to those who have been naughty or nice—jobs are created by minds able to make them. However, for those who do not understand such things, they believe their role in the process is similar to those old cannibals of yesteryear. They will sabotage creativity at every opportunity and attempt to stop any productive enterprise with an ancient commitment to the notion of greed—that a job creator is trying to build something without giving something up. For any such person in an altruistic society is viewed as greedy if they wish to make something—profit off it—and prosper without some kind of sacrifice to the gods of the past. These definitions are left over from their ancestors who literally believed that death of something had to occur before life could prosper.

Christianity is riddled with this type of behavior. The very core aspect of the religion is that Christ died for our lives and that we were condemned of sin at birth. But because Christ gave his life—we are allowed to prosper as human beings and that we should participate in some kind of sacrifice to give thanks to the effort. This is just an old variant of human sacrifice as it was propelled across the European region shown on the map. To replace the sacrificial tendencies of the Pagans Roman Catholics in a desire to preserve their empire used the notion of Christ’s sacrifice as a way to pull belief into their desire for a pacifist kingdom united under the flag of Christianity. There are of course wonderful values in Christianity, but the essence of it is false, the ideal of sacrifice as being needed to be productive.

Work is done by individuals. Goodness is not a gift from out there somewhere in the universe, but within our own hearts. Goodness is made by the mind of man. And everything that comes from the mind of man is considered productive when it is applied to reality. Productivity is the act of planting a seed into the ground and watering it with labor. Productivity is creating a job that was not there before to fill a market need that also wasn’t there before a mind made a need imagined by someone’s mind.

Productivity is not the government regulator who hampers creativity in business to protect a turtle habitat, or the union steward who keeps workers from hitting their piece rate while nearing a labor contract. It is not a mindless bureaucrat that thinks productivity is compliance to some stupid rule that man came up with out of a silly notion rooted in sacrifice—sacrifice to Mother Earth, sacrifice to mother government, sacrifice to our fellow man—sacrifice, sacrifice, sacrifice–ancient beliefs that were flawed four thousand years ago and are still wrong today.

When something productive is attempted the old cannibals of our society come out in full attack—and this is something that will not stop until the mythologies that form their cultures changes. As long as terrorists are willing to blow themselves up to gain access to a bunch of virgins in another world, or sins are removed from behavior because Christ was killed for disrupting the political order of the Pharisees—there will be lots of opposition to real productivity. And starting businesses, creating jobs, and conducting anything productive will be a constant uphill battle riddled with anxiety. That anxiety is needless, but is a direct result of old cannibal cultures and their stupid belief that sacrifice trumps production. Clearly all those who think in such a way are wrong—they just don’t have the ability to understand what a detriment they are to the human race.

The Jackie Robinson Story: Hiding bad behivor behind racism today

I had the opportunity to watch the movie 42 about Jackie Robinson, who was the first black baseball player in the Major Leagues. I normally avoid progressive films, and there is a fine line between progressive propaganda with a political agenda and genuinely good stories, which is what 42 was. The film is one that needed to be made and while watching provoked many thoughts that deserve comment.

Jack Roosevelt “Jackie” Robinson (January 31, 1919 – October 24, 1972) was an American baseball player who became the first African-American to play in Major League Baseball (MLB) in the modern era.[1] Robinson broke the baseball color line when the Brooklyn Dodgers started him at first base on April 15, 1947. As the first major league team to play a black man since the 1880s, the Dodgers ended racial segregation that had relegated black players to the Negro leagues for six decades.[2] The example of Robinson’s character and unquestionable talent challenged the traditional basis of segregation, which then marked many other aspects of American life, and contributed significantly to the Civil Rights Movement.[3][4]

In the film Harrison Ford played Branch Rickey wonderfully which I thought was a heroic story in and of itself. I loved Ford’s role and portrayal and found myself wishing that more people in the world were like Branch Rickey.

Wesley Branch Rickey (December 20, 1881 – December 9, 1965) was an innovative Major League Baseball (MLB) executive elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1967. He was perhaps best known for breaking Major League Baseball’s color barrier by signing African-American player Jackie Robinson, for drafting the first Afro-Hispanic superstar, Roberto Clemente, for creating the framework for the modern minor league farm system, for encouraging the Major Leagues to add new teams through his involvement in the proposed Continental League, and for introducing the batting helmet.

Rickey played in MLB for the St. Louis Browns and New York Highlanders from 1905 through 1907. After struggling as a player, Rickey returned to college, where he learned about administration from Philip Bartelme. Returning to MLB in 1913, Rickey embarked on a successful managing and executive career with the St. Louis Browns, the St. Louis Cardinals, New York Yankees, Brooklyn Dodgers and Pittsburgh Pirates. The Cardinals elected him to their team Hall of Fame in 2014.

Rickey also had a career in the sport of American football, as a player for the professional Shelby Blues and as a coach at Ohio Wesleyan University and Allegheny College. His many achievements and deep Christian faith[1] earned him the nickname “the Mahātmā.”

I found it interesting that Rickey is yet another innovative celebrity from Ohio and in the film the scenes that took place with the Cincinnati Reds at the old Crosely Field were stunning. It was a reminder again of how much Cincinnati and specifically Ohio helped shape the nature of America. I enjoy baseball, and love the role Crosely Field played in the early days of Cincinnati’s development, so it was fun to see Crosely Field alive in the film 42. To learn more about Crosely Field, click the link below for a complete history and lots of photographs.

Jackie Robinson and Branch Rickey were noble men from an era that I desperately love. I would never support racism, and respected Robinson’s crusade. I have been friends with many black men over my life, and my experience has been similar to the kind of people Robinson was. I respected their politeness, their manly swagger, and their deep commitment to goodness. Goodness does not know color and clearly, especially after watching Jackie Robinson’s story in 42, as a baseball player he wanted to do “good” and the world is far better off for it.

However, the premise of racism as it is today is to allow bad behavior to go unchecked because of skin color, and this is not right. Jackie Robinson if he were alive today would likely condemn rappers like Jay-Z and Snoop Dog for taking the very things he fought for as a black man and squandering them away using the color of their skin to be detrimental paradoxes of oblivious conduct. Robinson was careful to always present himself as a gentleman to the public and he ultimately won the battle against racism by capturing the high moral ground of the public. Yet against his memory looters, scum bags and social malcontents want moral judgment against their bad behavior obliterated behind a mask of racism. After watching 42 I came away feeling that Robinson loved his wife, loved his children, loved his teams, was honorable and appreciative of Branch Rickey and was a gentleman in every way to the press. That is the kind of person all Americans regardless of skin color should try to emulate.

Yet too many people of color today wish to hide their poor life choices from judgment by conjuring up memories of the kind of racism that Jackie Robinson dealt with—which is an injustice that is not forgivable. For the welfare mothers abusing the system to get free money from the government with out-of-wedlock children, they are disgracing the good work that Jackie Robinson conducted. To the dope smoking gangstas’ from the inner cities—Robinson didn’t fight so hard and put up with so much to have low moral values hide behind the race card. Or to the man who romps around the African-American communities like a bee to flowers impregnating as many women as possible without any sense of responsibility, Robinson did not fight so that you could be such a loser.

I loved the scene in 42 where the little African-American kid chased the train until it was out of sight because Robinson was on it. Jackie Robinson was the boy’s idol. Young people need those kinds of idols, and it doesn’t matter the skin color, it is the conduct of those people who can set the pace of young people forever and give them something to live up to. All Snoop Dog and Jay-Z are doing is justifying why people should stay down and shoot low—and if anybody questions them on their poor lives—call them racists.

42, the movie gave me hope for Hollywood. I loved the movie and will see it again. It was a very patriotic film which deserves its place in history. I’m glad it was made and I’m glad I took the time to watch it. It is my hope that other films like it will be made in the future. Because in such stories are the story of all of us who call ourselves Americans—and no place else in the world are such things done as they are in The United States—even in our games of leisure and evenings of entertainment—of which baseball has a long tradition.

Primary Victories for the GOP: The glee of establishment thinking

Those who love the status quo enjoyed the primaries of May 2014. After failing a school levy in November, Fairfield got their money six months later putting the issue on the ballot again and having next to nobody show up to vote. Cindy Carpenter kept her Butler County Commissioner seat, the Butler County police got their money in Liberty Township and across Ohio 90% of all school levies passed—again due to extremely low turnout. Several Tea Party Central Committee seats were thrown back to the GOP loyalists and the biggest GOP representative of all, John Boehner easily kept his seat against Tea Party type challengers. Big government lovers, like the Cincinnati Enquirer enjoyed thoroughly the retention of the safe old and beatable GOP strong holds and big tax initiatives against challengers.   Here is how they described Boehner’s win:

Tea party challenger J.D. Winteregg, a 32-year-old high school French teacher from Troy, could do nothing to push Boehner from a spot on the November ballot.

Throughout the night, Boehner blasted Winteregg, taking 66 percent or more of the vote.

With 41 percent of precincts reporting, Boehner had 71 percent of the vote with Winteregg trailing at 23 percent. Liberty Township businessman Eric Gurr had 6 percent.

The GOP and its supporters are happy that they were able to survive a challenge to their authority. They are short-sited enough to believe this primary year will get them off the hook forever with the Tea Party—which they supported in 2010 to take control of the House of Representatives, but abandoned by 2012 leading largely to the reelection of Barack Obama. In the end Obama and Boehner are a lot closer together in political ideology than an average farmer or member of the Tea Party. In GOP circles the common belief is that everything will now return to normal. Radical Tea Party types—those who believe in the United States Constitution will drift away into oblivion once again to hide in discontent behind the shadows. The statists once the polls closed Tuesday night celebrated. Good times were back—there would be a return of the dinner parties, the back slapping, and the golf games—and gone would be all this crazy talk of Constitutional value. Progressive advancement of the old socialist doctrine would continue unencumbered—at least that’s what they believed.

I listened with patience to my many friends that night disappointed with the results and their showings in the election. The school levy issue is a predictable strategy—in Fairfield if they didn’t get their money this time, they’d try again in November—and again and again until they were successful. This is the way of the game, if the public does not give the money the first time, take away some services, make it hard on the public, then ask again once the extortion measures have taken place. In a lot of ways, the GOP has done much the same thing. They simply waited out the storm, dumped large amounts of money at public perception, and put selections to the public during a primary season where most people are far more concerned about the upcoming NFL draft, and the new summer movie releases.

The Enquirer was very happy that most of the potential voters out there stayed away from the polls and those who did vote, supported their social concerns. They will continue to be happy so long as this cycle continues. But it can’t. The GOP is operating in an unsustainable fashion, the communist oriented Democrats are even further out of touch, the school levy increases cannot continue forever, and eventually the police levies will run out because their wages like their teacher counterparts are too high for the services they provide. The reason the GOP and Enquirer enjoyed their primary night was not because their social objectives are superior, but because most people just don’t care anymore. They don’t want to vote because they don’t see the point.

When it is said that “Boehner blasted Winteregg, taking 66 percent or more of the vote” the enthusiasm wasn’t even hidden, yet 66 percent of nearly nothing is the reality. Boehner had 66% of a voting group that was small and already behind him to begin with, so the results are not a surprise. The tragedy is in the apathy of the voters who see so little hope in going to the polls to vote, that they didn’t even bother. And in their absence, public school looters, career politicians, and general scum bags were allowed to resume their activities of treachery.

Oblivious to them all while they knocked glasses of wine together and whispered in each other’s ears about their plans for the next golf game is the end game of this whole election mess. What happens to them when the next generation simply doesn’t care enough to vote—because most of the voters in this primary are from the old days—those over 50 years of age and still believe in civic responsibility? What happens to the GOP when those people are gone?

Their extinction is a forgone conclusion. They cannot continue. The system will not withstand the pressures and apathy of the future. The Enquirer is happy that Boehner had 66% of the vote from a group of participants who are in the extreme minority. The majority cares more about who the Bengals will draft in the first round of the 2014 NFL draft than they do if Boehner is Speaker of the House. And because of the choices everyone involved in the 2014 victories made, from the Enquirer to Boehner’s handlers—the end of the road will hit them hard sooner than later. When that happens, the Tea Party will still be there when the mountainous network of lap dogs have left the GOP vulnerable and chewing their own tails. When that happens it will be remembered the choice of words used in those elections. And “blasted” will find a resurrection to fit the cause of the new day against the old GOP.

The Grand Lie of Public Education: How to fix a broken system

When anybody uses the term, “we must educate our children to compete in the global marketplace,” or any variation of that term the instigator is totally ignorant as to what makes education valuable. They falsely believe that education consists in teaching children left-winged ideology and work habits of a 100% commitment to institutionalism and that since the rest of the world is moving in that direction, that American education must consist of these erroneous premises. After all, political “leaders” see how things are done in China, and Japan, and they believe they must copy those methods—which is probably the dumbest thing that could be introduced to an American workforce and the people who make it up. People who believe that “education” as defined by Common Core standards is the way to direct young minds might as well be crack addicts instructing others on responsible living. The point of education eludes them making them a menace to the discussion of learning.

The most important attribute public education could and should implement into an instructional system of any kind, is the ability to think. The second thing it could do would be to teach students to be competent human beings. Anything outside of those parameters is useless to a human mind, and merely ornamental. Education is not a race against the socialists of Europe, the communists of China, or the kamikaze driven Easterner. Americans are imaginative, intuitive, and utilize large amounts of horse sense in their utilization of productivity and their education system needs to reflect this trend.

Americans fix tractors often with shovel handles, solve complicated engineering feats with bubble gum, and produce more patents than anyplace else in the world—because they are a free people who are at liberty to think. However modern education which leans way to far to the political left, is about chasing the rest of the foolish world teaching our youth to be just as stupid as everyone else, and to turn off their minds to the process of thought—and to embrace blind submission to institutional authority. This is the most damaging attribute that can be taught to an American.

If those who support government education want real success, not just statistical success relative to the rest of the world’s false methods they would teach young minds to “think” not just remember facts given to them by the state. Even conservatives are guilty of this tendency of believing that by committing resources to “education” that they have done their job. They don’t consider the quality of education, only that someone is doing something educationally related. They don’t think of what the implications of education may be if the wrong things are learned, or the wrong interpretation of history is broadcast to young minds awaiting programming of their brain by trusted adults.

Michelle Rhee the popular education reformer at the heart of the movie Waiting for Superman is wrong when she says that education is the key to the success of American children. That cliché is overused and ridiculous. It is a mythology designed to preserve the education culture and their utopian vision for the world. Most of those people are well-intentioned human beings who simply love children and teaching them—but they do not consider in those assessments the quality of their love, or their intelligence as factors that can hold back children from living otherwise fruitful lives. They assume that they are qualified to teach just because the state has given them a license to do so—a license that meant the teacher had to comply with the state’s version of reality.

The way to alleviate these faux pas in education is to teach children to think. Why is Common Core so vile and evil? The reason is that the only way it can work is to limit the intelligence of the most brilliant and force them to only be as good as the weakest links. Our modern education system does not like making such value judgments—which is why they ultimately are failures. The belief with Common Core is that if children spin their wheels copying off students from countries reeking with statism, that success will abound and that such success can be had by not asserting value to the quality of the students or their educations. It cannot. If students aren’t taught first how to think, or how to be competent human beings, the education system will fail 100% of the time.

If the value is to produce students who will mindlessly serve the state, then modern education throughout the world is doing its job. But if the goal is to teach human beings to invent new things, start businesses, vote correctly, or mentor a child—they are way off the intended target and have no hope of getting there under the current circumstances. Education is more than just lip service—it is a philosophy. It can’t be memorized; it has to be a part of an individual mind. There is no way to cheat it. If garbage is put into a mind, then garbage will come out.

My daughter sent me a text the other day that featured a cartoon of a young person reading a book. The caption read, “Uploading data to the human brain.” What we feed our brains is what we ultimately become. If we read good books, think good thoughts, and use our imaginations to explore possibilities, we will have reasonable success in life. But before that can happen, “good” has to be identified, and stood behind. If on the other hand we put into our minds garbage like pornography, sports stats, trivial nonsense like global warming issues, political diatribes and that kind of thing, our minds over time will become encumbered with sluggish thought processes. Education is not good unless the value of good accompanies it. A well-rounded education is not exploring sexuality, worshiping the earth, or supporting teacher unions. It is about learning to think and living as a competent individual.

It is utterly shocking how many functioning adults in 2014 are incompetent fools. The only way I can avoid this incompetency is to not leave my driveway in the morning, because there are some really stupid people functioning in the world—which is evidence that our education system is a complete failure. Yet politicians want us to do more of this foolishness so they can get their fingers on federal money dangled like bait in a trap to supersede our state sovereignty. That is just idiotic.

It is easy to make clichéd comments about education without considering the implications and it happens all the time. But the answer is not in just hiring more teachers, giving more money to teachers, or building more schools. That is not enough. The real intent of education is in teaching people to “think.” Without thought there is no education, there is no mind, and there certainly isn’t any kind of future. Without thought, there is nothing—but empty promises and misery. And I want no part in that.

The Last Chance to Fire John Boehner: Two challengers lose their jobs

Two days ago I wrote about J.D. Winteregg’s termination from his teaching job at a Christian college due to his challenge of John Boehner—the current Speaker of the House in the 2014 primary. Boehner in interviews makes it appear that he is just a common man in uncommon circumstance that does not care for the glory of high political office. Yet his actions defy such unassuming posturing. John Boehner and the people who want something from him in the form of machine politics want to keep him in power and they will literally do anything to keep challengers from jeopardizing Boehner’s congressional seat.

The Daily Caller exclusively reported Monday April 28th that Boehner’s tea party primary challenger J.D. Winteregg was fired from his job as an adjunct professor at Ohio’s Cedarville University for running an anti-Boehner campaign ad accusing the speaker of “Electile Dysfunction.” Winteregg is challenging Boehner in the district’s May 6 Republican primary.

But Winteregg is not the first Boehner challenger to lose his employment while on the campaign trail.

Justin Coussoule, a West Point graduate and former army captain working as a purchasing manager for Cincinnati-based consumer products manufacturer Procter & Gamble in Ohio suffered a similar fate when he ran against Boehner as a Democrat in 2010. Coussoule fired from his job for taking on the veteran lawmaker.

“In Justin’s case he was faced with resignation or termination from Procter & Gamble. They were surprised that anyone would want to run against John Boehner because he had been, as they said, so good for their business,” Alliea Phipps, Coussoule’s 2010 campaign manager, told The DC.

A vice president of government relations at Procter & Gamble took Coussoule out for coffee after he first decided to run against Boehner, and pressured him not to do it.

This kind of activity is not the role of business. If a business is truly good, they should not be concerned about injecting themselves into the political process. In the case of Winteregg, and Coussoule each coming from different party backgrounds, they had their livelihoods taken from them just because they challenged the political establishment. The message has been clear, either vote for the progressive machine representative of the Republican Party, or lose your ability to make a living—which runs counter to everything America is supposed to be.

Boehner has spent a lot of money on this primary campaign to continue holding his seat. He would not spend that money if there wasn’t a chance that Winteregg could oust him. All the political pundits predict Winteregg is not a threat and in the end, he probably isn’t—because of situations like what has been described here. In modern business, there is certainly peer pressure to back certain candidates because often those companies give money to certain politicians in hopes of buying off their regulatory tendencies. Business should not have to engage in such a thing—but they do. They will fight to protect their investments even to the extent of preventing candidates like Coussoule from participating in the election process as a rival.

For those who scream for democracy these terminations of political rivals is an unabashed threat to the will of the people. For people who understand that the natural discourse of democracy is to migrate into socialism and instead regard a Republic as the superior government, the attacks against Winteregg and Coussoule is even worse. The threat of losing a job is an attack of a challenger’s livelihood and the intent behind the action is to steer political support in the direction of institutional control—not the will of individual voters.

Years ago it was common practice for supervisors at companies participating in United Way campaigns to strong-arm their employees for weekly donations. At that time I worked at Cincinnati Milacron and every year I was paraded into the office of my supervisor and given a lecture with the expectation that the guilt would coax me into donating for the charity organization. Of course “The Mill” wanted the political relief of a 100% contribution from their employees to brag about within the business and political circles that it was concerned with—so the supervisors were expected to use peer pressure against the employees to get “voluntary contributions.”

It was understood that if an employee didn’t give a donation, that they would be listed by the supervisor as a “troubled employee.” Overtime opportunities would go to United Way contributors before they’d go to those who refused to give, and if there was a layoff, the first targets would be those who did not give to the United Way. There was never an intention during these campaigns to know the real charity desires of employees, the goal was to force through peer pressure compliance to the company goal.

The same peer pressure goes on over a massive scale when it comes to political contributions. The punishments are not layoffs or lack of overtime opportunities, but regulations that come their way if they fail to support a particular candidate—or take a political position that is contrary to the orthodox acceptance of the general business community. In the case of John Boehner’s district, there isn’t a potential Democrat who could even think of running in what is likely one of the most conservative bastions of a district in The United States. Boehner has so much power and is so entrenched in the Republican Party that he now has celebrity status and if a businessman wants to be considered for an important new contract, or wants relief from government regulation, they learn to give some of their money to the political machine in charge.

In case of the Winteregg, and Coussoule their employers took the extra step of actually terminating them for challenging the political establishment. The behavior is the same as the company who punishes a worker for not participating in United Way campaigns. The method of achieving consensus within the party is force, and manipulation. The genuine emotions of the electorate are not desired—only conformity to the established party and its members.

John Boehner is not Speaker of the House and the third most powerful person in the world because he is the best person for the job, but because he has the political high ground that can destroy the lives of any potential challengers to his grip on power. Boehner is the first person to say that he is not a power-hungry detriment to the human race—yet he is willing to fight with much more vigor to hold his seat than he ever did against Barack Obama’s takeover of healthcare, and the various budget crises occurring during his watch. Boehner is the top Republican because people who might otherwise challenge him were eliminated from contention. The “Party” doesn’t care who is destroyed in the process, so long as the system of politics that they control remains in power—and that is a lesson that Winteregg, and Coussoule share in common that transcends their individual politics.

In Winteregg’s case there is still time to correct the John Boehners of the world by voting for the young victim instead and firing the Speaker from his job for a change. That power is still in the hands of the voters which is the reason behind the intimidation. Voters are coerced to vote for Boehner, they are not trusted to make their own decisions. And the history behind Boehner goes further than these two names which is all the reason that changes should take place. If Boehner were truly the best man for the job—nobody would try to eliminate his competition. Instead, they have, and they have been successful—at least twice.

“Give Us Barabbas”: J.D. Winteregg gets fired from his teaching job

I didn’t see anything wrong with the ad by they guy I will be voting for in the upcoming Republican primary challenge against House Speaker John Boehner. J.D. Winteregg, has received outside support from the Tea Party Leadership Fund in his bid for Boehner’s House seat and produced a really effective video against Boehner that was very cleaver. If Winteregg’s time in congress would be half as innovative as his campaign, we would have very good representation in Congress indeed. He has been an adjunct professor at Cedarville University, a small Christian college in Cedarville, Ohio, for the last three years. Last week however, Winteregg was told his contract would not be renewed because of the controversial elements in a political ad, a video parody of erectile dysfunction advertisements centered around John Boehner’s name. “They said because of the ad that my relationship with them will be done. It’s over,” Winteregg said Monday. “The ad obviously touched a nerve.”

The minute-long video includes sexual innuendo and shows couples gazing longingly at each other—which is too much for Cedarville University, Winteregg’s former employer.

“Used on a daily basis, Winteregg in Congress will help you every time the moment is right — to have your voice heard at the federal level,” a narrator says in the ad. “If you have a Boehner lasting longer than 23 years, seek immediate medical attention.”

In a statement, Cedarville University spokesman Mark Weinstein said that Winteregg’s teaching responsibilities had concluded for the semester and that Winteregg is not scheduled to teach future classes.

“Cedarville University does not engage in partisan politics and holds a high regard for displaying Christian values in the community. When faculty or staff members participate in political conversations, interviews, advertisements, or endorsements, they are doing so as individual citizens. Mr. Winteregg in his recent political campaign video did not represent the views or values of Cedarville University,” Weinstein said.

So in other words Cedarville University is supporting John Boehner and the established political structure. They are willing to go to the extent of taking away the job of a person who challenges that establishment, yet thousands of teachers every year are protected from their jobs for bad behavior against their students—where sex acts, abuse, and manipulation are rampant. J.D. Winteregg lost his job for challenging the establishment.

Is it a mystery that good people in the teaching profession sit on their hands and keep their mouths shut—just doing what they are told? Who wants to lose their livelihood for participating in political theater? The answer is almost nobody—which is why so many vast evils are conducted right under our noses—because nobody has the courage to confront them. Because when they do, what happened to J.D. Winteregg is the most common result.

Winteregg was not fired from his job for a controversial ad against John Boehner.   Cedarville University was not protecting itself from “sin” by standing up for God and lashing out at the Republican challenger. J.D. Winteregg was fired to preserve the status quo by sending a message to others thinking of following the lead of the young conservative. That message is intended to keep their mouths shut—hold their nose and vote for John Boehner and hold the party line against the Democrats. The message is intended to convince them to stay away from radical behavior such as pulling the center of political activity back to the right. The goal is to just hold the ground against the left. Essentially, the message is to play into the battle plan of the progressive which has affected virtually every institutional element of our society. It is this same behavior which has allowed a community activists like Obama to outmaneuver the Speaker of the House in virtually every major matter that has moved through Washington since 2010.

The battle between Boehner and Winteregg, and Republicans against Tea Party Conservatives is essentially the fight between young and innovative against old and sold out. Who knows what kind of guy Winteregg would be as a Congressman from Ohio. He may be great, or he may fall from grace. But we do know what kind of person John Boehner is—he has fallen from grace and is ineffective. He has lost his credibility and he’ll never get it back in political office. He enjoys the pageantry of the Presidency, he likes to golf with President Obama, and he is willing to cut deals surrendering conservativism to progressivism. Clearly Boehner should not be re-elected and a fresh face needs to take over.

However, because of Winteregg’s challenge of Boehner, Cedarville University has fired the young man and robbed him of his livelihood. Instead, they as a supposedly Christian college are willing to stand behind Boehner who has lost tremendous ground to an abortion advocate, a gay community cheerleader, and supporter of the legalization of illegal drugs. By supporting John Boehner they strengthen President Obama. Boehner has been kicked around and abused handedly by Obama and has proven himself unable to compete against a complete idiot—so why should he gain one vote in the May primary? Why would Cedarville University not back a fellow Christian soldier marching off to war in Winteregg, because they are part of the problem—enablers afraid of confrontation and real support of conservative ideals. They are happy to allow themselves to be fed to the lions of progressivism without raising a fist, or defending themselves in the least way, instead, they threw Winteregg to the lions in much the way that the mob in Jerusalem released Barabbas and convicted the “King of the Jews.” That is not to say that J.D. Winteregg is Jesus Christ, but like the Christ he is challenging the authority of his day, and they are treating him the same way. With a crucifixion intended to place the insurgents back into the shadows to lick their wounds and preserve the livelihood of the Pharisees, the Republicans under Boehner are protecting their party from innovation.  And they don’t care who they have to sacrifice to do it. Today it is J.D. Winteregg, tomorrow it may be you dear reader. But on May 6th when voters cast their support behind John Boehner, they will essentially be declaring…………………”GIVE US BARABBAS!” And through the election process baffled Pontius Pilot types within the political establishment will quietly be surprised to see Barabbas set free to continue playing golf with the American insurgent—Barack Obama. Meanwhile, J.D. Winteregg will be treated as an outcast, jobless and battered for challenging the orthodox authority of the Republican Party—particularly at Christian Colleges.

Those same minds will then wonder why there is so much evil in the world, and why there are no courageous heroes rising up to fight it. Then they will find themselves following Barabbas to the ends of the earth rolling in the looted wealth of established—legalized theft—and Cedarville University will get its desired donations to keep it funded from the same people who gave Boehner money to stay Speaker of the House—in name only.

Kelly Kohls for State Senate of the 7th District: Taking the stink bugs out of the State House–starting with Shannon Jones

Collectivists are a dangerous species in that they are like bugs specifically Halyomorpha halys–brown marmorated stink bugs.  This year for whatever reason stink bugs are popping up everywhere and whenever I see one in my home, I take it outside to free it, but also to get it out of my house.  But there are so many of them that even though I could crush one of the little bugs with little effort, the creatures can ultimately consume my time as I try to address each one of them individually.  The labor unions, political party driven insurgents, and other progressive groups have had a target on my friend Kelly Kohls for a long time.   She has put herself out there pushing for real change especially on the education front—and has drawn a lot of stink bugs into her life.  One of those stink bugs—Shannon Jones in a close alliance with the Governor John Kasich and the Republican Party in Ohio have looked at Kelly’s primary challenge of Jones’ Senate seat and come directly after the former Springboro School Board President using the same tactics progressive groups have used against her in the past—a bankruptcy filing.  Of course this action comes straight out of the Republican Party to defend their grip on power at any cost.  So Kelly wanted to get her message out and answer Jones’ accusations—and of course I helped her.  I take the stink bugs out of my house without killing them—but I also intend to do the same thing with all the progressives and weak-kneed politicians in Columbus and Washington, and Shannon Jones and her John Kasich boot licking ways needs to be carried outside where they can no longer stink up the place with apathy and inaction.   Here is Kelly’s message one week before the primary challenge for Jones’ seat on May 6th 2014.

Progressives thought it was outrageous that Kelly Kohls even had a mortgage of $829,000 on a $450,000 home—and that her bankruptcy was a sign of fiscal recklessness.  This is because most of Kelly’s harshest critics are those who work for government and make great salaries doing almost nothing.  Learning how to accept progressive causes into their lives preserves their incomes.  They don’t start businesses or deal with money-making opportunities.  They simply take money so to progressives, it is a mystery as to where money comes from—and they believe it to be finite.  They emphasize the large sums of money to point out that Kelly is operating above the average norm for the “middle class” which was a term created by labor unions.

However, Kelly has five kids and most of them have gone to college by now.  Kelly herself holds a doctorate so a lot of money has been spent in the Kohls family on education and college these days is a $50K to $100K enterprise.  So Kelly hasn’t been spending money hanging out at Jags buying $300 meals every night for her friends—she’s been getting her education, putting her kids through college, and starting entrepreneurial enterprises.  All that together easily adds up to a million dollars when you try to do all those things in the same fiscal decade.  Since progressives get most of what they want in life by begging, mooching, and looting—they don’t understand Kelly Kohls—but I do, and have no problem at all standing with her in a run for State Senate.

I know how the name calling game works and 90% of what is said derogatory about Kelly Kohls is of that variety.  I have been married for a long time; my wife is a “house-wife” in the traditional sense.  She makes herself 100% available to my grown children and now grandchildren and she is proud to be the kind of mom that the television show Leave It to Beaver would have recognized in his home.  For my traditional views on family life, my disdain for feminism as a progressive movement, and a belief that all children need a strong mother in the home guiding a family to prosperity, I have been labeled a sexist because most everyone in existence is doing things wrong in their families in my opinion—and these names came at me well before I called the PTA moms at Lakota “latte sipping prostitutes with asses the size of car tires and diamond rings to match.”  The name calling was already going on well before—I simply wasn’t going to play the game for the “good of the community” or any group which I was a spokesman for.  The personal attacks were designed to change my behavior just like the stink bug infestation can overwhelm you if allowed.

Kelly doesn’t share all my views, she is certainly an A type personality and that can rub other A type personalities the wrong way, but she shares with me a love of tradition and commitment to spirituality.  If she doesn’t want to cook meals for her husband and await him at the door with his slippers and a newspaper that is her business within her family and I’m alright with it.  It’s a decision she has to make between her husband and her.  It certainly wouldn’t stop me from voting for her for State Senator of the 7th District.  Are women equal to men?  Most of the time women are better—on intellectual matters especially.  But men are built for heavy lifting both physically and emotionally—and this is why traditional roles had men and women separating their tasks in such a way.  The man came home and was recharged by his wife for the next day’s battles.  However, politics is an intellectual pursuit, and in it Kelly Kohls is less prone to corruption, deals, and peer pressure than a John Kasich type because of her intellectual aptitude.

Shannon Jones is not as directed as Kelly is.  She allowed herself to be steered into proposing the Senate Bill 5 controversy to drastically pull back the power of public sector unions in Ohio.  When that bill was repealed Jones and Kasich retreated into progressive pandering and Obamacare Medicaid expansion.  Shannon went right along with the party line whatever it was and did not think for herself—so she needs to be carried outside with all the other stink bugs and set free from the State House.  Kelly is much better equipped intellectually, and spiritually to do the job of Senator of the 7th District.

I’ve known Kelly for quite a while and one thing that she is at her very core is something that I recognize as being the highest quality there is for a woman—she is a mom first and everything else second.  Kelly has been a political activist and political contributor now that her children are grown because she wishes to bring her nurturing tendencies to the State of Ohio instead of just her home.  My wife has no such desires—but she is not an A type personality like Kelly and I.  Progressives have created the modern definitions for womanhood and like their fiscal policies—they are all wrong and are ruining the lives of everyone who follows them.  The real roles of traditionalist, conservatives, and men and women is far more complicated than the progressive stink bugs can wrap their minds around and that is not Kelly’s problem—nor mine.

Kelly and her husband filed for bankruptcy trying to make things happen—the way they were supposed to.  But the business climate changed on them leaving them hanging over the edge of a cliff for which they were dropped.  The bankruptcy laws in America were created to encourage investment risk because that is the requirement of capitalism.  Government workers do not take risks, they figure out whose boots they have to lick—and they do so to protect their jobs and keep the tax money flowing into their pockets.  They don’t typically try to start businesses, they don’t typically take responsibility for raising their own children—they send them off to public school to have the task done for them—and they certainly don’t take risks.  Kelly Kohls has, and now she is doing it again going after an established Senator in Shannon Jones during the May 6th primary.  And for that risk, the stink bugs are attacking her with that terrible odor they emit, which the media is happy to play off of.

Kelly simply wants to take the stink bugs out of the State House one by one starting with Shannon Jones.  Of course they won’t like it, but they don’t have a choice.  Republicans and Democrats functioning from progressive politics are stinking up Columbus and they need to be removed so that order can be brought to our Houses of Legislation.  And that is the essence of Kelly’s run against Shannon Jones.  Kelly is a mother taking care of her house and her family.  Only her care extends out to the State of Ohio and all the people in it who just want a shot at the American Dream.   To some Kelly is an education crusader, to others she is a combative “A” type personality that wants to be in charge.  To others she is a fiscally reckless overlord who lives above the “middleclass.”   To others still she is a threat to the Republican Party and even more dangerous to Democrats.  But I know her as a mother who cares the way all mothers do.  She sees Ohio as her family and she wants to fight to do what’s right for it.  And for her the best way to take care of her family is to remove the stink bugs from the State House which is why she is running for a Senate seat and why the establishment Republicans are terrified.

Ann Becker and Libertarian Girl: New weapons of the freedom movement……….sex

Ann Becker has been President of the Cincinnati Tea Party and was at the core of arranging the Tax Day Rally in Eastgate, Ohio on April 15th 2014. As is typical of her position she is heavily involved with the liberty movement and has teamed up with another powerhouse for freedom—Libertarian Girl. The two of late have been inseparable, and are deeply involved in a carefully planned strategy which has establishment Republicans terrified. It is unlikely that there is anywhere else in America where the types of people who Ann and Libertarian Girl are reside together toward the strategic goals that is resonating throughout the world. It is for that reason that Matt Clark of WAAM radio came down from Ann Arbor, Michigan to cover the event organized by Ann. I knew that putting these two girls on the radio would be a great interview—and it was. The radio segment featured below is a battle plan that should be shared with every member of every liberty front member throughout the country. Matt did a good job of getting out of the two girls a very concise interview that has some real power to it. Have a listen.

You can see part of how that interview looked in person with the next video. The audio wasn’t very good, but you can see what Ann and Libertarian Girl looked like so that there are faces to go with the voice. Essentially what the girls said was that they are currently involved in a similar movement of infiltrating the Republican Party in the opposite way that communists infiltrated the Democrat Party back in the 1950s. Libertarians are attacking the foundations of Republicans with conservatism pulling it away from the progressive middle ground from which it currently resides—and there really isn’t anything machine politics can do about it. A few years ago, Ann likely wouldn’t have been so loose with her tongue, and Libertarian Girl was just creating her online persona. But now, it’s too late. Sure machine politics will still win in the short run, but over time, people like Ann and Libertarian Girl are pulling Republicans away from the middle, and back to the right. The current middle has been established by progressives who allowed communists to pull the political left so far in that direction. The new middle is where hard Democrats used to be in the 50s and 60s and the old political “center” is now considered extreme radical right-winged. What Ann is talking about doing is pulling the political right back to the old center where the current left would be forced to place their centrist views at the current right.

And how will this be done? Well, that’s no secret either. Libertarian Girl uses sex to bring people to her message, and she doesn’t apologize for it—and why should she? Sex sells, and Libertarian Girl is selling freedom. How many men would follow Libertarian Girl just to have a chance to talk to her? For the answer, check out her Facebook page.

She has a lot of fans, and they often hinge on her every word. She is smart, she knows how to explain things simply, she is very articulate, and she has Barbie Doll proportions that simply melt men like a stick of butter on a hot ear of corn at an August picnic. If she is selling freedom, 8 out of 10 men are buying it—and 6 out of 10 women also buy it just because they don’t want to appear insecure. Libertarian Girl is dangerous to the political left. Watch this video by her explaining beer—which reaches over 80% of the population with a political metaphor that makes sense.

What the freedom movement is doing now has been done in a similar fashion. It doesn’t happen over night, but often takes generations to pull off. After all communists began their infiltration of the Democratic Party as far back as the 1930s—it wasn’t until the 60s that they recruited Jane Fonda to be their spokeswoman. It is incalculable how many men became young socialists because they admired Jane Fonda’s breasts and enjoyed her nudity in the film Barbarella. The political left has been using sex appeal for years to convince testosterone driven men to the voting booth and setting the social parameters for other women. It was a smart strategy; after all, a lot of men are perfectly willing to squander their values just to get laid. Heck, many middle-aged men who are very successful still spend most of their time making money, buying cars and trying to hide their baldness exclusively to have opportunities to bed young 22-year-old women—so sex is a powerful ally in politics. Communists in America used sex to take of the political edge in the 60s and now most young Hollywood actresses advocate worship of Mother Earth—which is essentially the new version of communism—large government managing virtually everything—for the good of “nature.”

Most men once they’ve spoken to Libertarian Girl strive to read books so they can converse with her and vote for Libertarian candidates to win her approval and have a chance to talk to her again.  I’ve been around her while this process was happening, and it is truly amazing. People want to have their picture taken next to her, and when it comes to voting, they will listen to her 100% of the time over some stuffy square-faced progressive. Once other pretty people see how successful Libertarian Girl has been, they will copy off her and thus join the party of freedom. Within the next couple of decades more mainstream beautiful people will join Libertarian Girl, and her mission will then be fulfilled. It’s actually happening right now—there are several actresses and spokeswomen who are jumping away from the progressive establishment and onto the freedom loving bandwagon. After all, Fox News set its roots in the media by hiring attractive women. They do have the highest ratings of all cable news—and it’s not because people want to look at Bill O’Reilly.

Ann and Libertarian Girl are at the heart of Southern Ohio politics and there isn’t a damn thing progressives from the Right and Left can do about it. They don’t have a similar offering in their established parties to match Libertarian Girl so all they can do is curse her—and Ann for their effectiveness. Because the secret is not just that Libertarian Girl is just another pretty face—she’s also smart—very smart. Once she gets older—and not so pretty—she will still have her mind and that is a dangerous combination. She’ll have years of experience by then and will only get better over time.

The point is that freedom lovers aren’t going to surrender ground to progressive big government types any longer. We’re going to hit back, and we’ll do it more often and better than the left has now for five decades. They have pretty much had unfettered access to America during that whole time—until about five years ago when the Tea Party groups began popping up—and with them Ann Becker and Libertarian Girl who came up with an approach to politics that would swing the pendulum the other way. And one proven way to do such a thing is through long legs, platinum blond hair and flawless female features—with a mind behind it–that combination is more powerful than millions of rounds of ammunition at the point of a gun. Progressives have lost the ability to appeal to average people, because they have lost the sexual edge. Madonna kissing Brittney Spears no longer raises eyebrows, Jane Fonda is an old lady, and Hillary Clinton looks like somebody’s 60 year old alligator purse lost as luggage in a Brazilian airport. In a game of beauty where Hollywood puts up their latest topless A-List actresses against people like Libertarian Girl, voters will follow the later over the former because in the end brains trump stupidity when breast sizes and long legs are equal.

America’s Last Stand: The new Atlas 3 poster, domestic terrorists and Schwarzenegger

Listening to all this uproar coming from the political left about the people supporting Cliven Bundy in Nevada defending his very way of life has reminded me of the final chapters of Atlas Shrugged.  Harry Reid and other progressive radicals are looking at typical flyover Americans as “domestic terrorists” because they refuse to acknowledge the law in the form which politics controls it.  The standoff at the Bundy Ranch is just a sign of things to come when the federal government decides to step outside of the cities which are filled with broken people long beaten by progressive politics, and engage rural Americans who reside on nearly every farm from Pennsylvania to Nevada.  Reid and the New York progressive pundits calling these Americans “domestic terrorists” are following the plot of that famous novel almost page for page.

Speaking of that novel which has been made into three films, the third part of which is due out on September 12th of 2014 as shown on the new movie poster seen above—the filmmakers will likely fall within the same category as Bundy.  I saw that movie poster weeks ago, well before it was released and I loved it.  In it, John Galt essentially stands up to a group of Harry Reid types and declares in front of the American flag that he will not live his life in sacrifice to others.  For progressives, this is a radical ideal, that a human being would declare that their life has more value than the collective sum of other people.  In the novel, John Galt was considered a domestic terrorist by the corrupt government that was running around with a super weapon designed to control entire cities with fear of immediate annihilation.  All John Galt did to be considered such a villain was to declare that his life was his own and he was free of their attempts at intimidation.

In the real world, Cliven Bundy has essentially stated the same, and he has been ridiculed, and threatened to no end.  Snipers have had Bundy’s head in their cross-hairs moments away from taking a kill shot just because Cliven has refused to pay grazing fees for land grabbed by the federal government who write the laws that makes such actions legal.  Harry Reid is at the center of the controversy apparently using such deals as ways to enrich his family members—and he is the one who thinks that Bundy is wrong.

The Atlas films have certainly provoked a similar hatred from the progressive left.  My friends at Galt’s Gulch have certainly seen their share of harassment at the website linked below.  (YOU CAN ALSO BUY THE MOVIE POSTER FROM THAT LINK)  This third film looks to be the most profound of the three.  Without question, some of the actors in the film were concerned about their future employment in the film industry because their affiliation with the project will be viewed harshly.  Nobody wants to be considered a “domestic terrorist” just for acting in a film that has conservative/libertarian values in it—which go against progressive thinking of mass collectivism and sacrifice to the goddess Mother Earth.

I recently watched Arnold Schwarzenegger’s The Last Stand which opened with a domestic box office total of $12,050,299 and a foreign take of $36,280,458—which is considered a failure.  The production budget was $45 million, so the film made back more than it spent and it has a healthy life in DVD sales and Netflix contracts—which isn’t bad for a January release.  The move was a lot of fun from an action movie perspective, and it actually reminded me a lot of the type of characters in the Bundy case as well.  I wanted to see the film for three reasons; Arnold wore my version of the U.S. Wings jacket, and used my .500 Smith and Wesson magnum.  He was also telling my kind of story.  I loved the movie, and I imagine that the people defending Bundy at his ranch love the film also.  The movie was about small town self-reliance and bravery over terrorists.  Several key scenes made no mistake about their intent; one was a scene where Schwarzenegger told the patrons of a local eatery to evacuate—which they refused because they were eating breakfast.  Schwarzenegger as the sheriff respected them and left them alone even though tremendous danger was headed in their direction.  Another was the scene where a farmer was killed off his tractor for defending his land against the encroachment of a drug cartel.  A third was an old lady who shot one of the drug cartel members after telling the guy to leave her home.  All three examples provided situations where older people were defending either their right to make personal decisions, or their concept of private property.  That is something a person like Harry Reid considers “radical.”

The reviews for The Last Stand were scathing.  They were so brutal that I didn’t even go see the movie at the theater, even though I had made a point to want to see it—because of the reasons mentioned.  I missed the opening weekend and it didn’t last far into February and was pulled before I made it to the theater.  I watched it on Netflix over the Holiday weekend because I actually had time to sit down long enough to catch up on movies like that, and the last Die Hard film, A Good Day to Die Hard.  Bad reviews against movies like Atlas Shrugged, The Last Stand and A Good Day to Die Hard are provided for the same reasons that Harry Reid called the Bundy standoff a situation of domestic terrorism—because progressives are insulted by the concept of individual liberty over collective salvation.  By the way, The Last Stand is so good that I will watch it many more times—I LOVED IT!  LOVED IT!

Atlas Shrugged isn’t even about violence, but it does contain the same messages of self-reliance and that alone in the eyes of progressives is a sign of domestic terrorism—when defined by them that the most important attribute to a stable society is the concept of collective sacrifice.  In Harry Reid’s case, he wishes to use collective sacrifice to enrich his son and political contributors—so he needs the ruse of justice to continue his scam, and the Bundy Ranch standoff is essentially no different from the anger the bad guys felt toward Arnold Schwarzenegger’s character from ruining their plans in The Last Stand.  By the end of the film they were either dead or very pissed off.  Reid isn’t angry that the Bundy’s don’t want to pay for grazing fees, he is afraid that other ranchers might feel embolden by the standoff and also challenge the federal government.  To him—that is terrifying.

What is equally terrifying to writers at The Huffington Post, Move On.org, The Hollywood Reporter, and MSNBC is that people may actually want to see movies like Atlas Shrugged Part 3, The Last Stand, or God forbid, A Good Day to Die Hard over progressive films like American Hustle and Dallas Buyers Club.  If Americans ignore their bad reviews and see those types of films anyway, producers may feel emboldened to make more movies that speak against progressive policies and before anybody knows it—it’s the 80s all over again—and no progressive wants that.  After all, progressives want communism, and in the 80s, capitalism was celebrated—music was awesome, movies where great, presidents were bold, and America was respected all over the world.

I will be one of the very first people to see the new film Atlas Shrugged: Who is John Galt.  I may even get to see it at the premier in Vegas right down the road from the Bundy Ranch.  I’m sure that progressives will see me as a domestic terrorist for enjoying a film where the hero declares that his life is not to be sacrificed away for the “greater good” as defined by people like Harry Reid.  In the real world, Cliven Bundy is doing the same thing, and the culture behind him was shown beautifully in Arnold Schwarzenegger’s The Last Stand.  I know many people like the characters in The Last Stand and Harry Reid knows now what progressives feared most—that once they leave their cities the rural population will fight them—and fight them hard.  The United Nations will not gain control of America’s heartland with regulations and EPA legislation from the Federal government.  Bundy is just the first—but he won’t be the last to take a Last Stand in America.  The villains in the American senate bowing to the United Nations and Socialist International believe that self-reliance is an act of domestic terrorism.

Additionally, am I upset that Arnold Schwarzenegger took my look and used it in his film The Last Stand…………absolutely not.  Likely some of his people saw me in this video and put that clothing on Schwarzenegger—it’s the exact same jacket that I use—a G2 jacket from US Wings firing a .500 Magnum one-handed.  I love Schwarzenegger and his movies, so I’m always happy to help.  It isn’t the first nor the last time something like that will happen.  A lot of people read here at Overmanwarrior’s Wisdom and it is for those types of reasons that I do some of the things that I do.  Mimicry is the ultimate compliment.
