Kasich has made three terrible blunders of late—political calculations no doubt generated from the sentiment that the Senator explained to me—that they were very sensitive to being called “Rhinos” because of their tendency to work with radicals from the other political side. Kasich has not used the Health Care Freedom Amendment to protect Ohio from Obamacare. See the link below for more info. Kasich allowed his political insider friends to get a hold of him after the election of 2011—after the defeat of Senate Bill 5, and steer him away from making Ohio a Right-to-Work state as Indiana and Michigan have been doing. Clearly it was sometime in the winter of 2012 that a Pussyopolis got a hold of Kasich, sometime around the time tornados hit Southern Ohio with devastating impact and he was heavily criticized for not taking Federal money for the disaster immediately. He attempted to project a 10th Amendment stance of state self-reliance, but he broke down due to heavy public criticism. On the heels of the Senate Bill 5 it was just too much for him to handle. He was consumed by a Pussyopolis and has never returned.
The third thing he did terribly wrong was launch his exploratory probe into running for President of the United States in 2016, which was something he originally said he didn’t care about. This means that he plans to tread on egg shells for the remainder of his first term, get reelected then halfway through the next term–run for President against candidates like Rand Paul, Paul Ryan, and Chris Christie. He has been seduced by the power of public office and likes it so much that he wants more of it. It is evident that he won’t be happy just going back to a Fox News gig subbing on the O’Reilly Factor, or becoming an even more prosperous millionaire as a financial consultant. When Kasich was bitten by the Pussyopolis it injected into him the venom that corrupts the minds of so many human beings, and it is sad to see—the desire to be popular, liked, cherished, and to shake hands with your critics in the all too fateful “compromise.” In the case of Ohio Kasich has obviously made a deal with the police unions and firefighters to keep Right-to-Work off the table during his terms in order to make peace with them. Kasich then turned his back on his Tea Party supporters figuring that the Tea Party was dead and he wasn’t going to become a casualty too. In so doing, he walked right into the mouth of the Pussyopolis only to be consumed forever.
Politics in many ways is just big time wrestling. Speaker of the House John Boehner and Governor Kasich pretend that they are out there fighting the good fight, but what you learn upon close examination is that like a school board meeting, the decisions are already made in executive session before the public is ever made aware of an issue. Republicans and Democrats play their act for the public that they are in the ring fighting it out, but the reality is that well before hand the winners and losers are determined in a carefully coordinated public show. In the case of Kasich, he has been determined to be the loser and Obama the winner. Boehner has obviously made a similar deal—he is playing the villain while Obama gets to play the hero. I’m sure both men believe that their strict adherence to the script will pay off down the road–politically. With Boehner, I am not surprised. I expect that kind of theater from him. He has the markings of Pussyopolis consumption all over his face. I mean he cries after every public event. I knew his real heart when he became emotional over regaining the Speaker seat. The acceptance of his peers means more to him than doing the right thing, which is the path to the mouth of the Pussyopolis.
Kasich on the other hand has done a good job of balancing Ohio’s budget by cutting away all the fat. All politicians should do this, but Kasich is wrong to believe that balancing Ohio’s budget will be enough to launch him into The White House. Balancing a budget is too “cerebral of a victory” and most Americans won’t understand or appreciate it, sad to say. Kasich is throwing away the opportunities of a lifetime—tactically—to preserve his own run for president. Now, he is morphing into a Pussyopolis and it appears there is no return for him. We should have all known something was fishy when President Obama, John Boehner, and John Kasich all played golf together. Somewhere during that golf game Obama fed them to his pet Pussyopolis who rides his coattails everywhere.
It must be terrible to be consumed by a Pussyopolis, to lose your backbone, your principles, your very soul to some perverted notion of popularity—to become President of the United States. Who wants a measly $400K job a year when the ability to make millions has been proven—like it has in Kasich’s case? The answer tragically is a weak-kneed Rhinos who believe that compromise with bad ideas is a receipt for success. They (the Rhinos) justify such a peril as “fairness.” People who think in such a fashion are the victims of a Pussyopolis and the moist, dank caverns of its bottomless pit called a stomach. The Pussyopolis does not care about sustainability, only tireless consumption. Once a politician is consumed by one, the only concern is to learn their place in the great public spectacle called a “Run for The White House.”
The Pussyopolis has also bitten Chris Christie as well, just as it did his friend John Kasich. The Pussyopolis hides in the shadows of “Federal Disaster Relief.” For Kasich, it was the Southern Ohio tornadoes. For Christie it was the hurricane that struck the East Coast during the fall of 2012. Both tough talking men turned against their conservative ideals and embraced the poison inside the belly of the Pussyopolis and corrupted their images forever as they found at the heart of such a ravenous beast Barack Obama and the parasites of Big Government. They allowed themselves to be completely consumed by the siren song of doom surrendering through “compromise” the merit of their life’s work for the sad illusion of perpetual popularity and memory in the annuals of history.
When I think of college the very first thing I think of is intoxication, experimental sex, and liberalism. I would never in a hundred years tell someone I care about that they should go to such a mental meat grinder as American modern colleges—because those institutions are not about learning—but are rather about following the advice of Princeton President Woodrow Wilson who said colleges were tasked to make children as less like their parents as possible. Colleges as they are today are about reprogramming 19 years of love and emotional investment out of a child with the destruction of their individuality and through progressive scholarship—to be reborn as a collective oriented species. Colleges are run by a class of human being called “the academic of intelligentsia” and they are a sinister group that holds much responsibility for the current destruction of The United States.
That is not to say that all young people who attend college become mindless drones who vote for Presidents like Barack Obama, campaign against gun rights, strive for social evasion through intoxication, and have difficulty maintaining relationships because all their sexual standards have been ripped away leaving nothing to cherish in their bedrooms. I know of a few. In fact most of my closest relationships all have advanced degrees and have survived the experience—but not without scars. Unfortunately for a vast majority of college bound young people, they will not survive intact, and will be crushed under the mantra of progressivism taught in those schools into something unrecognizable from the miracle their youths were destined otherwise to produce.
When it is said that Americans are behind other countries in academic achievement—in producing engineers, scientists and other advanced degree oriented professions I would say to fret not. Let India, China, Japan and other countries with collectivist cultures produce nice little pets who do what they are told under the terms of employment. America can always hire that talent away from those other countries—it does not need to produce them in American colleges. America needs to produce solid individuals who create jobs so that those jobs can hire the pin headed collectivist to work nicely in their cubicles under the guidance of their boss. America needs to concentrate its energy into making more entrepreneurs and it won’t do that by copying the academic model of Europe and Asia.
Wright created the philosophy of “organic architecture,” which maintains that a building should develop out of its natural surroundings. His designs for both private and public structures were boldly original, and he rebelled against ornate neoclassic and Victorian styles. Wright believed that architectural form must be determined by the particular function of a building, its environment, and the type of materials used. His interiors emphasize spaciousness, which derives from open planning with one room flowing into another.
Wright initiated many new techniques, such as the use of precast concrete blocks reinforced by steel rods. He also introduced numerous innovations, including air conditioning, indirect lighting, and panel heating. His works include the Millard House (1923) in Pasadena, California; the Johnson Wax Company Administration Building (1939) in Racine, Wisconsin; the First Unitarian Church (1947) in Madison, Wisconsin; and the Price Tower (1953) in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. In 1959 he completed the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York City.
Wright also spent much of his time writing, lecturing, and teaching. By 1908 he had originated most of the principles that serve as fundamental concepts of modern architecture. His work profoundly influenced the development of contemporary architecture in the United States and Europe.[1]
Frank Lloyd Wright detested intellectuals as they were classically portrayed, and wonderfully articulated in The Fountainhead. Wright is an excellent example of why America was great, because it created a nation that could give wonderfully original minds like Disney and Wright a place to develop their thoughts without the rigid guidelines created by college academics always in the hip pocket of politics. America did best when it conducted itself with old-fashioned horse sense. Colleges have prided themselves on destroying that horse sense in a quest to crush individualism in favor of collectivism. It is because of this trend that colleges study Frank Lloyd Wright, but cannot produce modern versions of him no matter how much money a student spends on their education. A parent who wants to produce the next Frank Lloyd Wright in their child cannot do it with their life savings. Colleges are happy to sell the snake oil that they can, but they can’t. Only an original mind can perform such a task, and original minds are produced while children play and such thought processes are preserved into adulthood. Currently originality is destroyed in public education leaving once great minds caricatures of themselves by the time they hit puberty. Once a deranged mind hits college age, they have almost nothing else left in the tank to resist the reprogramming that modern intellectuals cast upon their unsuspecting minds. In a couple short years of college, most minds are destroyed forever and those young people are destined to look back on their youths as the best days of their lives, as they begin a slow journey toward death in the 60 or more years that follow.
Public education sells itself on producing young minds for college, but this is an error. Parents should not spend a lifetime of savings on college only to have their children programmed away from the values taught by the family for 14 to 18 years. If a parent really loves their children, they will discourage their children from being destroyed in these palaces of corruption called American colleges, and encourage them to become the next Frank Lloyd Wrights, or Walt Disneys. The blueprint on the how and why can be found in Ayn Rand’s The Fountainhead. The novel like the people it portrays is a window into when America was producing the best minds in the entire world and is a direct link into how we can restore to our nation a trend of supremacy that has always defined The United States. But such a path will not be through college doors so let the rest of the world travel that path to their own destruction. It is to America’s competitive advantage to turn away from the stuffy academic and put its faith in the mind of the innocent and encourage them to reach for the stars without limitations, without the rigid lines of social political rules—to become the next great thinkers who will usher in a new age of prosperity and innovation.
I didn’t think much of Joan Powell’s announcement that she would not seek reelection for her Lakota school board seat she has held for over 16 years until I saw her closing statements in the Lakota News Network’s newspaper—(The Pulse Journal). In yet another softball interview from Hannah Poturalski, Powell stated about her fellow school board members “I don’t think anyone does this job for the recognition or the money, but certainly I know that this group of individuals, everybody’s heart is in doing this for the betterment of our community and the children of our community to make sure they have quality education.” I don’t have any doubt that every one of Lakota’s school board members including Joan believes that mantra, but the reality of the situation is far more telling. Read the actual Pulse Journal article at the link below. (Also below are some 2010 examples of how Lakota used young people to advance a union labor cause contributing to the need for additional taxes. Notice how The White House and Lakota Schools use the same tactic of manipulation on the backs of young children. After the next three videos are more factual based videos that deal with the actual school funding problems. Joan and her friends have openly participated in this behavior knowingly or unwittingly.)
School board members are not pillars of the community. The school in fact is only a small part of the community, not the centerpiece—as organized labor supported by long time school board members friendly to such socialist organizations have openly advocated. School boards are only management teams no more important than an average management team of any company. Their job is to manage their business, and in the case of the Lakota school board members, they have not done a very good job of that management because they are always asking for more money—which they plan to do in the fall of 2013 ahead of the LEA contract that is up in the summer of 2014. If the school board under Joan’s leadership had done their job and not caved into the labor union so many times over her 16 year career Lakota might not have so many financial problems now. Anyone in management knows that it’s easy to say “yes” to employees and give them anything they want, but most of the time managers are required to say “no,” and to draw a line in the sand to live within a budget. At Lakota, the management team has routinely just given away money to their employees believing that it would shut them up, that it would buy them the best talent, and that they could cover their incompetency with the silly notion that they are “pillars of the community.” For many years parents believed Joan and her fellow school board members like former levy campaign advocate Sandy Wheatley, and current school board member Julie Schaffer who also worked on the past levy campaigns, had exhausted all options when they ask for community tax increases. But instead of management of resources, these fiscal managers simply copy the big labor bullet points of their employees and expect the community to buy into the cost increase without opposition. These tax advocating big labor supporters are dead wrong in their version of what makes education work, and attempt to hide the reality not just from the community, but from themselves. They attempt to paint their jobs as important beyond analysis because “children” are involved which covers the real crime of poor management.
This is where I get angry with all these characters. When they can’t explain the flaws in their philosophy, and have shown that they are not willing to look deeply into the problems of education—they instead perform the exact same maneuver that the Obama White House is doing whenever they find themselves on the wrong side of a philosophical debate—they use the innocence of children to attempt to shut down all debate of their actions. In the case of Lakota, they are a government school, so they function with the same mentality as all government programs; they believe their service is the most important aspect of human life. It doesn’t matter if it’s the EPA, the TSA, Police, Firefighters, the Postal Service, the BMV—they all behave like the youngest child in a family and scream for attention as though their self-importance made the world spin. What makes all this nonsense unfathomable is when that self-importance seeks to justify itself with children—and that is what Lakota and every other public education institution does to justify their mismanagement. The situation is compounded when school board members attempt to paint a 16 year investment of their life to a school board as the betterment of their community through children. I believe people like Joan consider such things, at least superficially as factual. But the reality is far from the truth.
In another article in the West Chester Buzz Joan revealed again her view of the education situation when she said, “I have worked with four different superintendents. I can’t think of how many governors. Lakota has seen a lot of change and I hope Lakota can remain so successful because I really do believe that it holds a valuable place in this community.” Without realizing it, Powell articulated her real motive for holding office with the school board. What other position would allow her to be a supervisor over superintendents? What other position would give her access to state governors? What other position would place her in the middle of most community politics? Would she have access to such people if she were only a real estate agent? Of course not. But under the umbrella of helping children, the hidden desire to rub shoulders with important people can be hidden from analysis. It allows a gigantic illness to continue to ooze throughout society, and people like Joan and her 16 years of advancing the big labor position have only succeeded in limiting freedom of choice for families and the students of education with a phony regard for their well-being. If they really cared they wouldn’t attempt to cover up bad things that happen to kids by protecting the reputation of the institution over the individuality of the children. I have many cases that prove that to be the case—some published here, some not. CLICK HERE FOR A SAMPLE.
The same kind of illusion that is hidden behind motherly care was uttered by Lakota’s superintendent Mantia when she said about Joan’s years of service, “I have watched an incredible amount of time this board of education spends in what I would view as some of the most tumultuous educational times. It’s deep conversations about children’s futures … and as we ponder the next phase of education for students in a very changing world, those conversations get much more difficult.” Mantia and Powell along with the rest of the Lakota school board I have no doubt believed every word of that statement too. But they do not look further to the merit of their statements. What they are really concerned about is not children, but their vision of education and the direction it is going—which is School Choice. What resides behind the superficial concerns for children’s well-being is a concern for the preservation of their understanding of education—of the philosophy they have committed their lives to. If public schools really cared about kids they wouldn’t try to pound out their individuality into socialist goo of brainless consumerism. Public schools and their agents have destroyed the lives of far more children than they’ve ever helped. The proof is all around us—and those products are the result of many Joan Powell’s and their multiple years of service on a school boards supporting all the wrong ideas and building the strength of a community on the unstable backs of organized labor driven public education.
The reality of the situation is one thing, and I feel the way I do about it. People are free to choose whether or not they wish to support such social positions. But children cannot choose, and they are always the ones who are exploited by the weak arguments of professional educators who cannot otherwise justify their internal psychosis. That is when the line is crossed. I wish Joan well in her future endeavors if she is in fact truly leaving the Lakota school board—and this is not just a stunt prior to the announcement of their 2013 levy. But bringing the community and children into the argument is crossing the line. Her job as a school board member will not be missed by children or the community.
Life will tick on with or without her and behind her words is the real fear that her 16 years meant nothing for the greater good, instead of being of paramount importance. That is the real meaning behind such statements that are hidden behind the defenseless children who naively advocate so much social evil. The evil is in lack of choice and the tyranny of monopoly as advanced by public education institutions everywhere of which Joan and her fellow school board members are simply minor players. The system they serve is headed for a major revolution. It won’t happen over night, but over the next decade. It will happen slowly and will benefit children and their families immensely. And before it’s done, there will be many more resignations from those who see the writing on the wall, and want to jump off the sinking ship while it still floats.
For my position, I am happy to see public education sink, because what the ship carried was a way of looking at the world that has caused great harm to our civilization and it deserves to be on the bottom of the deepest oceans in the cold dark abyss where such an evil can no longer hurt children by using them to fuel the luxury the ship affronted on behalf of the ship’s crew who enjoyed much luxury on the “love boat” called public education.
If a group of robbers came to your house and stole nearly $1000 dollars sometime during the upcoming year would you not call the police, file a report and attempt to prosecute the perpetrators? Of course you would, you’d be very upset at the loss to your personal income, and the imposition to your rights and liberty. What if you discovered that the same robbers came as guests to your house many times and stole $20 dollars each time until after 50 such visits added up as a loss to your personal income of nearly $1000.00. The cost of the theft was not obvious because the impact of the theft was distributed over a long period of time. Well, the later scenario is exactly what the federal government has done in regard to the new taxes coming out of our personal income taxes that nobody is talking about. If you look at your paychecks, you will notice that anywhere from $20 to $40 dollars each week is coming out of your personal income every single week and the total cost to you will be nearly $1000.00 by this time next year. The act of taking the money out of our pay checks is theft. In my case I did not vote for the tax increases and my elected representatives left me hanging out to dry making deals with the thieves behind the scenes. As John Boehner said, “Obamacare is the law of the land.” And Governor John Kasich of Ohio ignored the Healthcare Freedom Amendment that passed a few years back in order to protect his 2016 run for President. A lot of people are behind the force stealing that money from our paychecks and what they are doing is criminal. To understand why, watch this video carefully.
The modern government in America is no different from the bands of pirates who inhabited Jamaica in the city of Port Royal in the late 1600s. They have an insatiable appetite for sex, drugs, and endless theft to satisfy the bottomless pits of their personal treasuries. There isn’t enough money in the world to quell their endless thirsts for looted currency. Back then, Morgan had a letter of marque from the king of England that gave him legal right to harass Spanish and French vessels in the Caribbean region. John Boehner has the same kind of letter from Barack Obama—who thinks he’s king of America. The responsibility for the increases in taxes—which is simply legalized theft—falls on the king, while the looters confiscate more and more wealth from anyone they can get it from without an eye on the end result.
Those of us who pay taxes, those few of us who are now under the 50% minority are being told that we will pay more taxes to support programs we detest. It is being forced upon us through threat of force, and is piracy. The stolen money will go to sin, crime, and detestable activity. It will not go toward altruism even though it has been stolen under the banner of social justice. It is simply stolen by the pirates of government for the end result of further plunder. For those of us who pay most of the taxes, we are now less wealthy just because the calendar year changed from 2012 to 2013. The modern pirates don’t even have to go to the effort to take our money with literal force any longer—they simply write new laws in the modern version of Port Royal called Washington D.C. and force everyone to send the money to their door steps. This year it is the subtle amount of $20 dollar a week. But add that to the nearly $300 a week for other federal taxes, or the hundreds of dollars for Social Security. Heck, it costs almost half as much just for Medicare as all the state taxes in Ohio. The looters have set up a complicated scam that subtly steals from us all bit by bit so gradually that it is hardly noticed. But the total cost is quite extensive when it is considered in its entirety.
I don’t need much out of the government. I don’t need the heath care. I don’t want their retirement plan. I don’t even want their education. I don’t want their regulatory committees; I don’t want their prying eyes and hands on my wife when we fly on an airline. I want them as much out of my life as humanly possible, and I do not wish to be robbed by them for their own pillaging tendencies. I don’t support their reckless spending, their short-sighted vision, and their back room Washington deals. I don’t want to pay them any ransom—“protection money,” for their extortive practices. With the government, like the pirates of the Caribbean you pay the extra $20 dollars a week in taxes, or they take all your possessions and throw you in jail. In that way, they have robbed us all with a letter of marque provided by President Obama and his financial supporters, SEIU, AFL-CIO, FTA, billionaire philanthropists and many other collectivist organizations acting no different from pirates in Port Royal spending money like its going out of style requiring more looting just to live one more day of pillaging.
Port Royal is no longer evident in Jamaica outside of Kingston. There is little evidence of its once great wealth and sinful prosperity. In the same regard, Washington D.C. will someday follow the same path and will see its streets vacant of life and abandoned completely. The mentality of the two cities is the same—they are all pirates who make their livings stealing money from others in order to live. The question is why do we allow it to happen? Why do we allow them to steal money from us in small increments of $20 at a time? Why can’t we add up that a decade of such activity means hundreds and hundreds of dollars of stolen money we are committed to pay each month away from our individual desires? Instead we are told to give toward the collective cause of the pirates and their thirst for plunder—and if we don’t cough up the loot, they will take it by force—and we call this behavior “civilized” or even “free?”
I call it theft by robbers and pirates, and they deserve to be called such, and not honorable representatives of a righteous republic. The robbers are only drunken fools unable to do anything right and should not be allowed to run Washington D.C. like its Port Royal. According to The United States Constitution, we don’t have to. So why do we?
When I speak about the need for a Civil War it is not because I want it, but because bad people are attempting to impose themselves upon my life, and those of the people who are not so vocal about their desire for liberty. I know all too well that many lawyers, judges, and politicians do not believe in the Bible they swore their oaths to, or respect the Constitution they pledge to protect. They are simply scavengers who seek to pillage the lives of individuals of everything they own or desire to possess. I have seen first hand many instances where America’s entire court system is about nothing but generating money for the participants at the expenses of the victims. I gave such an example in Tail of the Dragon, which is based on first hand experience. The court system is only about making money through the clerk of courts for the judges, the lawyers, the bailiffs, the jails, the insurance companies, the legal professors, the mind numb politicians, and nothing else. They seek targets that have broken the law as defined by those same people who have no respect for the American Constitution but serve only the case-law of fellow attorneys. The legal system in America is a racket no different from the organized crime syndicates that formed during the Prohibition Period.
When Jon Hammer was thrown into a Mexican jail for trying to register a rifle at the border, the Mexicans were not interested in justice, or fairness. They were only interested in jailing the young man and attempting to extort money from the ex-Marine’s family. The Mexicans behaved no different from a band of pirates who took over the lives of the innocent and threatened to kill them on behalf of their personal profit. The court system is corrupt beyond repair in Mexico. Nobody cared about the life of Jon Hammer. The President of Mexico allowed the behavior to continue on once the story became public for over 4 months. The criminal underground runs Mexico, and the Jon Hammer case proves it. Both The United States and Mexico showed the world that neither side cared about Jon Hammer or his family—especially when the situation was so obviously unjust. Instead all the parties involved on both sides walked over the issue as though they were egg shells, not daring to step too hard in any one place so not to upset their supplies of money that funnel to them through organized crime.
What’s worse about the whole ordeal is that Mexico appears to be more honest than America. At least the Mexicans don’t attempt to hide their tyrannical intentions behind children or tapestries of “justice” like American courts have attempted to do. President Obama attempted to hide his power grabbing actions of executive orders behind the naive innocence of children, and nobody questioned the obvious evil of the act. Both courts in Mexico and America are corrupt and rotting with scallywags intent to profit off the unfortunate misery of the guiltless. When things go bad in the near future it will be those types of scallywags who attempt to call me “the criminal,” which of course I am not, or won’t be. There comes a time when it is right and honorable to fight back against evil that attempts to hide theft behind righteousness, and that time is coming quick.
We are living in an upside down world, the bad pretend that they are good, and the good are made out to look bad, so a war between those two ideas is immanent. In the context of a normal life, the talk of war might seem extreme, but it is in the desire for peace that the pirates of government loot us all in broad day light with further encroachments’, and out-right injustices are advanced through sheer greed. It is against those feeble minds that we will protect ourselves and in that context, is the reason for the next war that is about to break out. It will also be in the context of the villainy conducted among America’s failing political system and its corrupt courts that the actions of liberty will forever be measured. The sanity of the Constitutional defenders is written down forever and cannot be changed by the looters of social order, who hide their malicious actions behind “safety,” “security,” and “children.” The truth is easy for everyone to see and that truth might waver for a bit when the first shots are fired and real lives find themselves at the cashiers counter–but context will find its place which is the reason for these millions of words. It cannot be said that we did not try a solution of peace. When the lives stack up, nobody can say that we did not try.
As to the source behind Obama’s new gun control laws created by executive order………………..it is all about making more money for an ever-expanding–all-encompassing government.
Among the new spending the president proposed:
• $4 billion for the president’s proposal “to help keep 15,000 cops on the streets in cities and towns across the country.” (That is roughly $266,000 per police officer.)
• $20 million to “give states stronger incentives to make [relevant] data available [for background checks] … “$50 million for this purpose in FY2014”
• “$14 million to help train 14,000 more police officers and other public and private personnel to respond to active shooter situations.”
• “$10 million for the Centers for Disease Control to conduct further research, including investigating the relationship between video games, media images, and violence.”
• $20 million to expand the National Violent Death Reporting System.
• $150 million to “put up to 1,000 new school resource officers and school counselors on the job.”
• “$30 million of one-time grants to states to help their school districts develop and implement emergency management plans.”
• $50 million to help 8,000 schools “create safer and more nurturing school climates.”
• $15 million to “provide ‘Mental Health First Aid’ training for teachers.”
• $40 million for school districts to “work with law enforcement, mental health agencies, and other local organizations to assure students with mental health issues or other behavioral issues are referred to the services they need.”
• $25 million for state-based strategies that support “young people ages 16 to 25 with mental health or substance abuse issues.”
• $25 million to “offer students mental health services for trauma or anxiety, conflict resolution programs, and other school-based violence prevention strategies.”
• $50 million to “train social workers, counselors, psychologists, and other mental health professionals.”
Much of the time it is my wife who does all the nice things for the family, so she is seldom surprised by anybody doing something nice for her. But this year was different. We’ve always been a traditional family where she maintained the home and I maintained work relationships, so we didn’t have the modern benefit of a dual income household to just throw money at our whims. That benefit is something that we have both vehemently rejected out of dedication to providing for our children, and now grandchildren a constant loving female presence in their lives which far outweighs any monetary value.
I have been called a sexist my entire life because of my almost Amish-like adherence to traditional family values. My wife has been called far worse because she has so obviously rejected the feminist movement of independence from men. In our marriage which is coming up on a quarter century now, our household runs like many did in America during 1920 through 1950. I treat her respectfully, she participates in politics equally, and she controls all our family income. She cooks, cleans–is the family psychologist, maintains all the relationships with the extended family—her job is a difficult, thankless one. There is no prestige for the American woman who dedicates herself as a housewife and in my mind there is no job more important in the entire world. My wife didn’t have a career, when our children needed to be homeschooled. When my kids were little, my wife was a room mother at their school, and the teachers turned against her when during the fourth grade consensus emerged that all the little girls of that age needed to learn how to put a condom on a fake penis as part of sex education. We of course declined to sign the permission form and the teachers retaliated. Soon the administrators learned through the teacher’s lounge that my wife was “one of those women,” one of those “trouble makers,” so they made it difficult for her to even pick my kids up from school, because my kids did not ride the school bus. (Yes, my kids were too good to ride the school bus with the other kids. My wife drove them to and from school every single day of their schooling lives.) My wife had resisted a progressive platform so the school circled the wagons to push her out. We responded by pulling our kids out of the school. We were able to pull the trigger when it was needed due to political pressure in the school district of Mason many years ago because my wife did not have a career—a commitment to a business interest outside of our family home. If I had a quarter for all the times family and friends told us that we were wrong in our approach to raising our children, we’d be millionaires rolling in rooms full of those quarters. Much of that advice we were given by well-intentioned people had its source with daytime television and talk shows like Opera who we now know was intensely committed to the spread of progressive ideas. Their advice was wrong even though the masses seemed all to agree on those feminist statements. It has never been easy because the rest of society was going in a noticeably different direction and we were openly rebelling against the progressive political attack against American tradition. For a woman to stay home and care for her family in a traditional manner from 1990 to 2010 seemed to be the vilest insult against progressivism, judging by the insults that came in our direction. So the older we have grown, the more flagrant we have flaunted our position, especially once we learned the source of the advice.
As discussed at this site in great detail modern progressivism is all about destroying the American version of family, so it should come as no surprise that children share authority between their government schools and their parents which leads to much of the misguided rebellion many young people cast against their parents. It is also no surprise that divorce rates are so high because both spouses are dedicated to goals outside the family unit, and women have been told they must be equal to men in the workplace. The progressive strategy has been to remove the heart of the family—women and demean them into pursuing male-like career goals—which are empty social acceptance roles that offer very little real substance. The goal of this aimless existence is to put the faith Americans used to commit to individual family strength and instead invest into it faith towards government. In my traditional view, American women are the government; they are the only government that matters. They rule America’s households and in our family, nothing happens without the approval of my wife. She even has legislative power over every oil change I conduct on our various vehicles. I don’t buy anything without her approval, which is how it should be.
On the other side of the coin, for over 20 years now I have had to strive to make enough family income to compensate for two college educated adults because that’s what it costs to get through modern life. Most of the time I pull off that task with extra revenue generating activity like writing books, designing t-shirts, or other types of creative enterprise. In my younger days I worked various part-time jobs to pay the bills and sometimes rode a bicycle everywhere as we went for years with only one car that my wife needed to use for driving the kids to school. At one point I rode 12 miles one way to work every day for over 1 year on a first shift job and worked a second job on the way home that helped divide up the return mileage to something less exhausting. I’d peddle the remaining 6 miles home in the rain, snow, and extreme heat at around midnight and would start the whole thing again at 5 AM the next day. I never missed work, or got sick, because I couldn’t afford to. Sometimes the money has been easy, sometimes it was very hard, but always we have managed to keep my wife as the hub of the family and there is no government that supersedes her. I have always put my wife on a pedestal because that is where women deserve to be. They are not equal to men, they are bigger, better, and sweeter—and deserve to be cared for with love and understanding.
This brings us back to Christmas, for the first time in our lives, my wife wanted a vacation with me that involved actual time spent together—not on a tour bus through Europe, or on a Gondola in Venice being pushed around the canals by a heavily fragranced Italian man who looks like he’d rather be making meat balls. She wanted me to spend “time” with her—not writing books, not working on politics, not practicing bullwhips, or even back-woods hiking. She wanted to spend time with me, and since she loves Star Wars, there was no better way to spend that time than with an MMO dedicated to Star Wars that requires thousands of hours of partnership. But in order to play an MMO with another person, two computers are needed, and that cost is typically prohibitive for such a luxury item.
The gift was more symbolic than fiscal because it was a commitment to time spent rather than a dollar value—although to arrive at that moment it did require a significant financial investment. The computers had to be powerful because we know family members who have tried to play The Old Republic on a single core processor and fried their video cards from the excessive heat generated, even with the graphics turned all the way down. Because we both love Star Wars we wanted to play the game with full graphics resolution—(which are fabulous by the way), and we still wanted computing power to spare. So my son-in-law and I overdid all the specs and built the computers seen in the video above. My wife didn’t think it was possible because a few months earlier we had spoken to a Best Buy consultant about the amount of money it would take to buy computers that would play the game the way we wanted to play it, and his response was frustrating. He gave us a cost of nearly $4000 for two computers. Frustrated because we still needed a new roof, a dishwasher, and a number of other important daily items, we put it on the very back burner to revisit a few years down the road.
Over this past weekend my wife pointed out to me that we have now played The Old Republic for 20 straight days and we are only just getting started. Our average playing time is 5 to 8 hours per session. Saturday we played the game for 18 hours straight—no interruptions. My kids are all playing the game and my son-in-law who built those computers built one just like them for my one of my daughters while he beefed up his to match the specs. We have all played together and we have been playing with extended family members from out-of-state and it is everything that we hoped it would be. When my wife saw that she had unlimited computing power it wasn’t because of the pretty lights or status of having a new expensive gift. It was in being able to spend time with the people she loves in a game environment that she adores. The computers are simply a means to get there, and in this case, the powerful machines are designed to operate without limitations that prohibit such an experience.
The first thing that people reading this will ask is how can we afford to spend so much time playing a game? Well, in her case, she has the time because she is not in service to any institution outside our family. In my case, I have worked hard to get out ahead enough to buy myself the time to play the game by releasing a new book that is out making money and freeing up my personal time, so in that way, I have afforded myself the ability to give my wife more of my time which is all she really wanted for Christmas. The look on her face is as authentic as it gets and I offer the rare look behind the curtain of my family so that others can see the reality behind the rhetoric that often surrounds me.
Many of my readers and friends here have wanted to see pictures of my new grandson, and they are curious as to what daily life is like within my family. We are a close family because my wife has dedicated her life to making it so, and she deserves a lot of credit for that. It can be seen clearly in videos like the one shown above. The tickets she received at the beginning of the clip were symbolic of the kind of vacation that we have been experiencing for the last 20 days. It took her a long time to put all the elements together to figure out what was happening, but once she did, she was extremely happy, which earned for me the worth of the whole enterprise. She has taken a lot of flack for being a full-time housewife over the years, and she has patiently put up with most of the slander that has been thrown her way which sometimes gets compounded when money is tight. We know that most families cannot do as we have done, because these days so many women are embedded in the economy that if they all pulled out to become full-time mothers our national unemployment rate would jump up to 30 to 40% instantly. Many women also would be lost as to their roles as central family beacons, because there is a lot of responsibility in that job, and they have been taught not to take that responsibility. When things go bad, there is nobody but one person to point at and blame. If a child goes bad, the mother often will blame herself, and many women hide from this responsibility behind their careers, and that will not change over night. But most women deep down inside know that no matter how much money they earn, it cannot replace the impact of their love and attention for their families. Kids who have such busy mothers are easy to spot in a crowd, and these days most of our society is functioning from a hunger for their mother’s attention that they never received as children. The public schools are not adequate replacements, and mothers who make such decisions of putting career in front of motherhood are fools.
Progressives have attempted to change human behavior and they have failed. Anyone who defends those failures is an idiot, and I know a lot of them. Some people are so far into building their lives around that idioticrity that they will lash out at people like me by calling me a sexist, and calling my clothing “wife beater” attire as they did in my video A Whip Trick to Save America where I wore an Under Armor muscle shirt that was labeled by my feminist political critics in such a fashion. Those people are wrong, and have built their entire lives around being wrong. Many of the names progressive women have called my sweet wife over the years, and myself really reflect their personal feelings of guilt. I know it, she knows it, and they know it. My kids have witnessed it, everyone knows what the motives are behind the actions, and after all of that I continue to believe more and more, that a child needs a mother to be ever-present, and a family needs a string of such women to be strong otherwise failure is assured and the family structure will break down in the absence of such personalities.
The sacrifice to have a strong family by allowing the women of that family to serve no entity but their families is that money is harder to come by. But it’s worth it for those few times when enough money is made that quality time with loved ones becomes possible. In the case of the Christmas computer gifts it is not the machinery or hardware, it’s the time that playing the game will giver her with me, her children, her nieces and nephews, sisters and even parents that are scattered all over the Earth. The gift she received was time with the people she cares about, and that is the a gift that extends beyond conventional value, and is the reason for her delight on that memorable Christmas morning that had been a long time and coming—which she waited patiently to see.
I received from a good friend and loyal reader here at Overmanwarrior’s Wisdom a great gift—one of the only things that I truly love in the world—a new book. And this particular book is from one of my favorite authors and is about one of my favorite Founding Fathers. The book is called The Jefferson Lies by David Barton and seeks to set the record straight about Thomas Jefferson as progressive secularists have attempted to destroy his good name in order to advance their diabolical causes. The book was ironic because it represented a kind of book end to a string of announcements that had their source in one man—Glenn Beck who is proving to be one of America’s new Founding Fathers by creating the means to rediscover what made us so great in the first place. If not for Glenn Beck the new book I received about Thomas Jefferson would not have been possible—because it is Beck who has given voice to scholars like David Barton who would have otherwise been whisked away into a corner of intelligentsia and subdued. If not for the efforts of Glenn Beck’s media empires, fueled by the book publishing industry and a society starving for intelligent material, people like David Barton wouldn’t have a voice.
Much of the trouble in America today can be blamed on progressives. The world of debt, of broken marriages, of childhood misery, of aborted babies, of a stupid grown-up electorate more interested in sports scores than who they will vote for in the next election, of kids walking around aimlessly with their pants down around their knees in public wondering why nobody wants to hire them for a job. Most every problem in our modern society is the fault of secular, tampering, small-minded, progressives like Woodrow Wilson, Franklin Roosevelt, Teddy Roosevelt, Lyndon Johnston and a whole slew of other like-minded fools who have attempted to socially engineer mankind with their infantile foolishness driven by insecure minds not completely sane. One of the reasons secular progressives have attempted to diminish the work of people like Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, George Washington, and one of my all time favorites—Ben Franklin is because the modern man of progressive thought is but a boot heel philosophically to those classic Founding Fathers. Presidents like Thomas Jefferson must be defamed so that presidents like Woodrow Wilson can look equal. The progressive, who is in charge of every public school in America knows that the way to make themselves look good is bring everyone else down—which is why the world around us is filled with so many stupid people. (I mean I was at the movies the other day and I think the collective intelligence of the people around me might have been able to power a pocket calculator. They all looked like they voted for Obama. One kid was walking with his girlfriend and literally couldn’t carry their popcorn into the movie theater because his pants were pulled down so far that he had to hold them with one hand because his other was holding his girlfriend’s. The girlfriend had to carry the popcorn and pop. The boy probably had a brain, and he might otherwise have been a promising young man of some merit, but I could take one look at him and tell that he was probably raised off government assistance, that he came from a fatherless household, that he probably ran with a group of wanna’ be thugs practicing gang behavior as kittens practice fighting with a ball of yarn—to prove their prowess. The boy was a victim of secular progressivism and their social experiments that have gone worse than a Frankenstein mad scientist experiment.)
As I held the new Barton book in my hand I thought of the spot that I had sat in over a decade ago when I took my family to Monticello—Jefferson’s very innovative home. I sat where Jefferson did as he wrote his letters and looked out the same windows that he did the day that he died on July 4th, the same exact day as his one time political rival John Adams. The two men wrote each other furiously during the closing days of their lives, and July 4th meant something special that nearly defied death. Both men separated by miles of carriage driven roads through an endless wilderness pushed their minds to see one more July 4th in 1826. In fact, they died within 5 hours of one another, no phone lines, no television, just remote wilderness and a mutual love and respect for knowledge and the founding of America. Jefferson was a smart man overflowing with self-driven ambition. He was the result of his many thousands of books. What he put into his mind came out as a direct result to the quality he had invested. He read books ranging from Adam Smith’s The Wealth of Nations to Alexander O. Exqemelin’s The Buccaneers of America(One of my all time favorites first published in 1678—Oh what I would give to have an original copy of that book in my personal library!) Like Jefferson my life would be meaningless without books. They are the blood that pumps through my veins and that will always be the case. I simply love to read them, and I love to be in their company whether it be a private library or a public one. I love the presence of knowledge, thought, and enterprise. I have often spoke of my disgust that the Library in Alexandria, Egypt was destroyed by the mob. CLICK HERE TO REVIEW. Progressives like all the parasites of the past know that the way to control the masses is to make them too ignorant to think for themselves—so that those same masses will always clamor for a leader—provided by the modern progressive politician. The mentality is the same whether the period of time is the sacking of Rome, or the modern push for same-sex marriage as a priority over the national debt. The secular progressive seeks destruction of thought to advance their sinister plots.
But the same man who made indirectly the new David Barton book about Jefferson possible had just spent a week explaining his new massive project—The American Dream Labs which is a fantasy right out of the pages of anything Thomas Jefferson or Ben Franklin could have ever hoped for in America. Glenn Beck is restoring to our modern times a love of knowledge and innovation that founded the nation, and he is doing it beyond the reach of secular progressives. Beck is achieving a kind of critical mass that George Soros and all his billions couldn’t stop, because in the “rock, paper, scissors” game of politics, intelligence always crushes stupidity and progressives like Soros have been crushed by a reawakening of the human spirit. Glenn Beck simply refused to back down, and he is about to erupt with a creative energy driven by the same kind of restless force that drove Thomas Jefferson. The results of this awakening unfortunately won’t be measured for a decade or two, but it will occur now that Beck has started the process. The results of today are a direct result of progressive policies started in the 1990’s. The conservative revival of Beck, Barton and those like them won’t be truly felt until around 2025 or 2030. It takes a long time to emerge, but it starts in arts and entertainment–the rest of the culture will follow later.
Beck shares with me it appears a love of the theoretical city/amusement park Epcot Center. Walt Disney, like Beck was committed in his day to the same kinds of thoughts and feelings that drove the Founding Fathers, which is why there are such strong themes referencing them in Disney World. CLICK HERE FOR REVIEW. Every city in America should take notes from Disney’s Epcot Center and form their infrastructure around those concepts. But none do, instead they allow themselves to be shaped by corrupt politicians who try to scrape enough off the top to buy a new condo for themselves. Modern cities are shaped by incomplete people. So Glenn Beck is planning to build his own city called Independence, U.S.A. at a cost of about $2 billion dollars. Click the link below to see all the video of Beck explaining the concept complete with drawings and further commentary. Most important to me is that Beck is going to feature a library in the center of his city that will be available to teach politicians all over the country how they are supposed to govern based on wisdom, not diabolical greed. I am extremely excited about Glenn Beck’s American Dream Labs. He is attempting to do what Walt Disney never could, and Ayn Rand only thought about in the book Atlas Shrugged—he is building a Galt’s Gulch in plain sight—in the midst’s of secular progressive political control.
The book I received as a gift on January 12, 2013 from one of my dear Overmanwarrior’s Wisdom readers represents this slight shift in embracing knowledge over political ideology that has helped feed the modern empire of secular progressivism. The book is a an early product of Glenn Beck’s American Dream Labs and I cherish the very pages contained within it like a lost treasure found after thousands of years of being buried in the sand. All books have value, but some have more value than others, and anything by David Barton is a treasure trove of wealth and knowledge. I am so thankful to have such a book in my hands. Upon reading through it I am reminded of the rooms of Monticello which was an early version of Jefferson’s kind of American Dream Lab, and found it easy to understand why Jefferson answered his own White House door in his slippers and bed robe, and didn’t think enough of the presidency to even put the title on his tomb stone. That is the kind of man who founded America, and that is the kind of man who I admire. That is the kind of human being that Glenn Beck’s American Dream Labs will be committed to producing in The United States and that excites me greatly. It is my hope that my grandson can go to the movies with his future wife and take note that all the young men there can carry the popcorn for their girl friends while holding her hand with the other. The young men will be able to perform the task because they’ll have their pants pulled up around their waist and properly fastened where they belong, and not down around their knees like the messed up kids from the early 2010’s who had been virtually destroyed mentally by secular progressivism and left to root in the abyss of cataclysm.
CNN is clearly using Piers Morgan to show how radical the pro Second Amendment crowd is by first inviting on Ted Nugent with predictable results, then Alex Jones to bait them into animated gun totting diatribes designed to demonstrate how dangerous Americans with guns are. But it is backfiring. The political left for years has had more than their fair share of radical nutcases expressing their viewpoints and now they are trying to paint radicals on the right as “nutcases” as if they were above the ludicrous diatribes. America is showing that they are just as accepting—even willing to throw their support behind such animated personalities. Alex Jones as a radio show is very popular, but as an entertainer—it is evident that Alex is 100% committed to what he believes and taken at face value, he appears to be a certifiable nutcase conspiracy theorist. But the trouble with Alex is not that he may be certifiably insane, as people like Piers Morgan are attempting to frame in the court of public opinion. Quite the opposite, Alex Jones is suffering from being “too awake,” he’s too aware of the world around him and the level of deception that human beings are capable of—a trait that most of society gladly shuts their minds off to. When Alex Jones was asked to come onto the Piers Morgan Show to defend the Second Amendment, Jones exploded with the kind of dialogue that is becoming more and more common place all through the Midwest. The direction of the conversation appears to have created anxiety on the CNN set.
Jones is popular because he speaks to the kind of Americans that know something is terribly wrong at the very top. They realize that they have been lied to, they question all authority, and trust nobody in politics. The Alex Jones listeners, who are quite numerous, have accepted that there is no authority on Earth that can be trusted, and they instead put their faith in self-reliance. So it is not difficult for those types of people to question the reality and motivations of those in authority. They may get the details wrong—but they do not get wrong the tendency of human beings to impose their will on other human beings as the ultimate ego boost that is incredibly prevalent in politics and the money that puts politicians in power. That money often comes from political activist billionaires like George Soros and others like him who have an intense desire to shape the Earth into a vision of their own thinking, and they do not care if they impose their will on the individual rights of others who are not billionaires. It is they who do wish to supplant the American Constitution with a document more “progressive” so that they can gain the ability to have control of more people.
When Jones talks about the Bilderburger Group, and all the intertwined groups that serve the political interests of the very wealthy, he is noticeably fearful of their motives—which indicate sinister strategies against mankind. I believe that Jones was harassed while in New York City by thugs of the financially powerful who fully intend to destroy American sovereignty and rebuild it in their own image. When Jones became out-of-control during the CNN interview, I have no doubt that executives at CNN were on the phone with worry over what their bosses would think of the Jones/Morgan exchange because it backfired obviously. Jones did look like a crazy, maniacal, gun totting, lunatic—but he represents people like me, and millions of other gun supporters who reside in the core of America. I have said myself that I am ready for a new American Civil War. In fact, I expect it to become a reality in the very near future. I’m not going to give up any of my rights for the “greater good” as George Soros or anybody else sees it.
The growing realization that eventually people like Alex Jones will have to come to, that will come with time, is that there is nothing to fear from all those conspiracy makers. Once Jones and his fans realize that they have just as much power to inflict pain on the Bilderburgers or any armed gunmen who might try to harass them outside of the CNN building before an interview, they will discover that they always had the power—and that conspiracies of any kind are simply designed to move the minds of mankind in a particular direction, whether or not there is any truth to the conspiracy. The idea of a conspiracy direct or indirect is designed to strike fear in the minds of the recipients. However, once people realize that they are just as capable of inflicting the same kind of violence that the conspiracy perpetrators are, there really isn’t anything to fear from them. There is no reason to fear the gun carrying thug, the politician and their security details, “hit squads,” or just public relations specialists—they are all only human. If the quality of mind of one side is superior to the other with all other things being equal, then the strong mind will always prevail. Guns make the physical nature of conflict equal leaving only the minds to prevail over others—which is why the powerful wish to remove guns from society—because their minds are not superior to everyone else. Being more fiscally ruthless does not equate to a quality mind. The only way the extreme billionaire redemption addict looking to suppress the sins of their youth with philanthropy, is to control society by taking away the physical ability of equality—because the mind of those billionaire activists is not superior to their opponents. That is what the gun control argument is all about—power and control. Once that is realized, there is nothing to fear. The conspiracy generators are just pathetically simple people who use money to overcome their mental weaknesses in a quest for power and ruthlessness that made them billionaires in the first place.
Alex Jones is not crazy, and neither is Ted Nugent. They are passionate, and utter their anger that the world is not the honest one that they thought it was. In that regard their ideas about the world has been shattered. They wanted to believe that people on the other side of the political aisle were good—and they are outraged to find out that they aren’t. And they fear losing that equality measure of their political enemies having guns and them not having equal weapons because they desire to be law bidding citizens. Their political enemies are dirty and won’t follow any laws anyway, so the good people who follow Alex Jones will always be at a disadvantage to the radical extremists on the political left. Their anger isn’t insanity, its fear at losing their equal footing with those who wish to control their lives–so the emotions do get out-of-hand. If so many people weren’t asleep, they’d be angry too! However, Alex Jones would sleep better at night if he realized that the reason behind his conspiracy theories of ultimate control of the human population are because our enemies have insufficient intellects that cannot deal squarely with the minds of those they wish to suppress. They are not superior, and cannot control our society unless we surrender our ground and guns to them. Now that the chips are on the table, the other side has been exposed, and their argument will fade off into eventual oblivion like clouds on a hot August day evaporating before our eyes. There is nothing to fear from those people, because their actions are based on poor intellects and an abysmal understanding of reality which is a tendency that means they should fear us a lot more than we have need to fear them.
Alex Jones in that regard is not crazy, he’s simply passionate, and that makes him a good, healthy American doing his job.
Before I get into a lengthy diatribe of translating the good experience of taking my grandson to his first book store as a 4 month old lad, I must comment on the video below featuring a middle-aged couple being hounded by their grown children after seeing the new movie release ofLes Misérables featuring Hugh Jackman, Russell Crow and Anne Hathaway in a fantastic rendition of the popular play and book. The couple is noticeably emotional as they left the theater and were in the car on the way home. The sons of the couple thought the sight of their parents emotional state worth capturing for the YouTube archives. Les Misérables (usually pron.: /leɪˌmɪzəˈrɑːb/; French pronunciation: [le mizeʁabl(ə)]) is a Frenchhistorical novel by Victor Hugo, first published in 1862, that is widely considered one of the greatest novels of the nineteenth century. In the English-speaking world the novel is usually referred to by its original French title, which can be translated from the French as The Miserable, The Wretched, The Miserable Ones, The Poor Ones, The Wretched Poor, or The Victims. Beginning in 1815 and culminating in the 1832 June Rebellion in Paris, the novel follows the lives and interactions of several characters, focusing on the struggles of ex-convict Jean Valjean and his experience of redemption.[1]
I don’t have the same experience with Les Misérables as the couple above. For me, the French Revolution was a failure, and the aftermath led them to become a country continuously conquered by the Germans thereafter. But, in American society, much of the love of Paris, Mardi Gras festivals, and even the roots for socialism among the so-called educated and cultured East Coast residents can be traced back to the popular play and their love of it. For me, the characters in Les Misérables do not have enough Übermenschin them, which is all that I find worthy in works of art these days. But I was thinking of that poor couple as my wife and I took our grandson to our weekly outing to the bookstore to stock up on more books for the week. Before our shopping spree however we went to Chili’s as I watched the preview show for the BCS Title game between Notre Dame and Alabama on ESPN. As I looked around the bar, everyone’s eyes were fixated on the same information being broadcast from the flat screen televisions all around the restaurant. As we ate, I discussed all these elements with my wife and grandson, we spoke about the BCS game, Brian Kelly in leaving the University of Cincinnati to bring Notre Dame to dominance in just two years, the consistency of the Alabama program, and why the poor couple coming home from the Les Misérables movie were so sad. I explained to my grandson that many adults have turned off their minds. Football, even though I enjoy the drama of the game is an accepted entertainment that occupies the neural development of the brain’s core processes and serves as a great distraction from the helpless, out-of-control nature many people feel in their lives. Many adults have turned their minds off to many forms of mythology unless the orthodox society has determined that something has great sophisticated merit over other forms. In other words, most adults wish to believe that they have arrived in their advanced age at a place of mental superiority over children like my grandson.
My grandson looked at me gurgling milk bubbles from his mouth as I spoke for nearly a half hour without pause. I’m not sure how much he understood, but he looked at me and didn’t interrupt as my wife fed him his bottle. I was feeling relaxed as we are on the third week of our unconventional vacation in the Star Wars galaxy of The Old Republic video game, and my wife and I have been having a blast. Unlike Les Misérables or sports of any kind, the philosophy of Star Wars deals often with topics of the Übermenschso more and more I turn to it for the level of thinking I enjoy indulging in, and two solid weeks of gaming on the new MMO The Old Republic with my wife and kids solving various political problems as Jedi Knights on the worlds of Nar Shaddaa, Coruscant and the shattered world of the once thriving Taris, I am at the closest place to complete bliss that I think is possible, and I suddenly felt very sorry for my adult contemporaries who only had the BCS Title game to look forward to, or a screening of Les Misérables. To me, those are passive—or dead mythologies. But Star Wars has always been a vast and creative mythology. The concepts set in the mind a motion that unifies complex ideas under the powerful process of mythology and in human history, there is nothing like Star Wars, and sadly parents like the couple crying over Les Misérables deny themselves the same experience with Star Wars because they mistakenly believe that Star Wars is for kids alone. It’s not. For the adults who can share those mythologies with their children—and in our case—grandchildren, Star Wars is the building blocks to the next great philosophic movement.
The start of this new philosophic/religious awaking is just beginning. Star Wars the Clone Wars just had their 100th episode aired on the Cartoon Network during the second Saturday of January 2013 and Kathy Kennedy is moving the production of the new movie trilogy into the casting stage. The servers are thumping for the MMO game that my wife and I were eager to get back to after our dinner and trip to the book store—so BioWare has been successful in bringing new interest to the game which I think is very valuable. But the reason for our outing was not to buy a new video game, see a movie, or even to eat out with our grandson. The purpose of our journey to the book store was to buy the new Star Wars book called Scoundrels which just came out on January 1st and is a book that my wife has salivated over for nearly 6 months. So after dinner we headed over to our favorite bookstore and suffered through the numerous people who wished to stop our progress and gaze at our grandson who was wide awake and smiling. I was happy to show him such a place of freedom—a book store. For me personally, there is no place better on Earth. I love the smell of them. I like the people in them. And I treasure the vast vaults of knowledge contained in them. So long as there is a free press, tyranny of any kind can never take full hold in any culture. Bookstores are the backbone to freedom and this was my grandson’s first experience in one–his first of millions—I will make sure of it.
For me, when I was only 9 or 10 years older than my grandson is now, I would spend all of my time away from home in two places, the arcade and the book store. When I ran out of money in the video arcade, I would then go to the book store and read through the titles for hours and hours never getting bored. In fact, I read the Egyptian Book of the Dead complete with hieroglyphic translations during these visits before I was able to purchase my own copy many years later once I started working at age 13. Back then, Star Wars as a mythology only centered on the original trilogies and had three novels out, the novelization of A New Hope (the first Star Wars film) a novel called A Splinter in the Mind’s Eye, and a book called Han Solo At Star’s End. Now, there are hundreds of novels, and they take up an entire section of the book store. In fact, there is no other section in any book store that is larger than most of the sections dedicated to Star Wars books. And I am proud to say that my wife and I possess every single Star Wars novel or junior book ever written and have them in our personal library. She has read them all, I have read about 2/3rds of them.
The book we came to get, Scoundrels was sold out in just two days. The book features Han Solo in a Timothy Zhan story taking place immediately after A New Hope. My wife really wanted to read this one, because it takes Solo back to the time of his late 30’s. In the books that will lead up to the new films being produced by Lucasfilm and Disney where Harrison Ford will reprise his role and introduce Han Solo’s glorious daughter Jaina to the silver screen, Solo is well into his 70’s—so he’s been around a long time. (No Lucasfilm has not confirmed that Jaina will be in the new film. I just know it to be the case—my own deductive reasoning.) Well, apparently we weren’t the only ones wanting to buy Scoundrels. The book store employee who was very excited to talk about the Star Wars books he’s been reading with us, called around town to find a store that had the new book. While we waited, a young man was in the Star Wars section buying up four paperbacks while his girlfriend waited patiently. I was impressed to see his ambition as he declared to me that he “loved Star Wars.” I saw on his face a more mature and controlled emotion than the one shown by the distraught Les Misérables viewers. With that being said, I noticed that the book store had more Star Wars books than usual and it was explained to me that a combination of the BioWare game The Old Republic, The Cartoon Network television show The Clone Wars, and the announcement of a new Star Wars trilogy coming to theaters in 2015 along with a very aggressive publishing effort pumping out books like Scoundrels every couple of months–nothing is selling hotter than Star Wars these days.
I enjoyed the passion of the young man in the Star Wars section and the book store worker. I saw on their faces an enthusiasm that was much different from the patrons at the Chili’s bar watching the BCS pregame statistics. That football game will come and go and be forgotten within months. Star Wars will be remembered and built upon by the fans who read the books in a mythology that takes place over 37,000 years of interconnected story that spans thousands of characters arcs. Nothing against Victor Hugo’s Les Misérables but as a literary endeavor alone, Star Wars is the greatest single work of literature ever created—and it’s not just for kids. Adults could learn a lot.
We traveled across town and picked up the book that was being held at the counter for us. Barnes and Noble at The Streets of West Chester had a copy left and my wife erupted into delight when she put her hands on the meaty hard cover book. “It will be so nice to read a story where Han and Chewie are together again” There was a love on her face that was much more sophisticated and honest than the poor people who were broken up over the ending of Les Misérables. There is a truth in Star Wars that is eluding the rest of our 21st century society and only Lucasfilm has really managed to put their finger on it fully. I have been visiting book stores for nearly 35 years and this was the first time it really hit me that a wave of new philosophy is about to impact the human race with a freshness that modern mankind has never experienced. And it happened during my grandson’s first visit to a book store to get a Star Wars novel.
But Star Wars is the next artistic step in mankind’s long quest for truth, justice, religious purpose, and the endless desire to discover what’s over the next horizon. At least, that’s what I told my grandson, and judging by is facial expressions—he was listening intently, even if he has not yet constructed the ability to express himself with anything more than a smile.
If you ever wondered why our current government is so screwed up all one needs to do is look at the kind of institutions that instruct our society and study how they behave when confronted with trouble. It is not hard to discover the root of the deteriorating rot that infests anything that is attached to government, and public schools are “government schools.” They believe that they function outside the rules of reality because they live off of tax money which is collected on their behalf under force—and they fight over that money like dogs over a bone. And their collective intelligence is just as proficient as the only concern they have is to fill their bellies so they can live five more minutes before they are begging for another bone.
In my local community of West Chester it has been well-known that I have spent the last couple of years fighting the stupidity of the blind tax and spend actions of the Lakota school district—which I attended as a kid. Many, because I went to the school, believe that I should automatically support anything that Lakota does because I’m an “alumni” or something. I hear the same type of ignorance from fools who blindly support their colleges because as adults they love the sports program—never connecting the dots that it is in such follies that many evils are conducted. Those actions are forms of collectivism which I reject entirely. At Lakota, they have refused to acknowledge that the cause of their funding problems is that they are like rabid dogs begging for food at the dinner table blindly hungry for more and more money to consume never connecting their actions to their hunger—as if the two weren’t connected. Then to make matters worse, there are the apologists who try to sneak food under the table even when the owner of the dogs tell those apologists not to—because it makes the dogs even hungrier, and misbehave more often. Such is the role of the local newspapers against the wishes of the taxpayers.
It’s not like Lakota tried—they simply refused—just like Obama and the gang is doing now on Capitol Hill–to deal with reality. They simply ignore any part of reality that doesn’t fit their version of it. As government entities, they have their agenda, and their expectations—and they will only listen to options that fulfill their agenda—which is why they fail time and time again. Have a look:
In the course of early March 2012 The Enquirer decided to get into bed with the Lakota school district and the evidence is in their priorities of what they consider to be the “biggest story of the year.” But nowhere is there any mention of “WHY” Lakota has a budget problem. The article only mentions the result, not the cause, which is typical of these big government types. The reason is because Lakota employees make too much money, and there are too many of them. Pure and simple. The education market is changing, there are many options that are better for teaching children, and government schools are clamoring to keep themselves relevant just as the Postal System is trying to stay relevant after the advent of EMAIL. Public schools are trying to fulfill a progressive utopian vision of being the central figures in society, and the newspapers are obviously on board to help paint that picture—which is why The Enquirer has been losing readership by the droves and more and more people are turning to alternative sources of information like this blog, for their news. People see the situation for what it is, and 18,000 people voted against the foolishness of the Lakota district, and the many thousands of tax payer dollars they have spent on public relations—to help set up articles in publications like The Enquirer and The West Chester Buzz.
As The West Chester Buzz published their top story of 2012 article a levy supporter sent me an email stating, “No Lakota Levy seems to indicate that the teaching staff is paid too much and now the community is unable to afford such salaries. I contend that the labor force is overworked and, for it to consider any further concessions, that group needs to be thanked for their steadfast service of the past and encouraged to work a normal 8 hour day rather than devoting hours of free labor to a district that can no longer afford such dedication.” That statement, which the newspapers should be covering, cites the entire funding problem at Lakota, and in just about every government employee in The United States. They have all lost touch with reality and have a sickness rooted in neuroses. They simply aren’t working within the realms of reality—and therefore cannot be rationed with. “Thanked,” what are these school employees—children? Or worse—not even possessing the ability to retain information like simple dogs begging for food.
How can any sane person claim that an employee making 65K per year should not be expected to work 10 or 11 hours a day or more, and that such people are “overworked.” The average income for Lakota employees is 63K per year, which is very good compensation, but the trouble is, it’s not competitive. In the argument over what makes a good teacher or a bad teacher the public is supposed to take the word of labor radicals like the guy who sent me that comment at face value without validating the truth. In my book his comment doesn’t even deserve a seat at the table because I don’t recognize his right to exist. I have determined that the biggest problem in public schools is the labor unions who utter that kind of garbage, and there is no discussing anything with them. They are like speaking to hungry dogs who only wag their tails if food comes near their mouths. They are not the pinnacles of our society as The Enquirer has tried to make them out to appear. They are simply parasites hungry for more government expansion, mindlessly higher taxes, and more youth seduced by all the wrong things to be cast out ill-prepared into adulthood. The labor argument in this case has a monopoly on education and the government backs that monopoly, and until that organization is broken up, there will never be cost reductions in education, there will never be improved test scores, and there will never be great leaps in social advancement. The problem with government schools and their monopoly is the fact that there are no options for parents to have their child taught by ambitious teachers making only 45K per year over the one making 90K per year who is tired and beat up—hanging on till their retirement at 55 years old. The tax money in the State of Ohio is sent to the school, not to the child, and that is the source of the problem allowing labor unions to basically control that tax money. The system is ridiculous, and the press has not had the backbone to do their job—which is a disservice to everyone.
People say that all the things I’ve said above are “just politics.” It’s just the way things are, and they will never change. Well, it might be politics, but like I told one of my employers years ago, “politics costs money.” If you remove the politics, you will save millions. And the same holds true for Lakota and every other public school—remove the politics, and they will be able to balance their budget without being leeches on the rest of the community constantly hitting up the residents for more tax increases. Lakota needs competition, and the press needs to get out of the business of helping to support destructive monopolies, which The West Chester Buzz confirmed is the role of The Cincinnati Enquirer in regard to Lakota. For myself, and many on my side, the “labor argument” doesn’t even deserve a place at the negotiating table. I don’t care what they think; they are no different then dogs begging for food to me. They don’t offer a service I think is important, and they charge too much to provide it. They need to be cut out of the money stream completely and that is my 2013 position. Apparently, the media is going to settle for their role to be mere lap dogs, to the dogs begging for food at the bargaining table where the feast of West Chester is in control of the adults sitting at the table.
