Lost Art of America: Putting out a candle with a bullwhip

Spending the weekend at The Whip Artistry Studio was a chance to touch base with the skills that mean the most to me. One of the bullwhip tricks of high regard for many of the people who come through Gery Deer’s classes taught at that facility is putting out a candle with the crack of a whip. Most bullwhip artists have their own style in cracking that are subtly different from one another. I am typically very aggressive, and when I put out candles I don’t care if I hit the candle tip, because I enjoy the satisfaction of seeing splashes of wax exploding outward, which can be seen in the following video done over the weekend.

However, Gery Deer is all about finesse. In the next video he instructs one of his students how to put out a candle the technically correct way, by cracking the whip just in front of the candle and using the sonic boom to create a negative pressure vacuum that is followed by a convection current which pushes out the flame like a breath. Gery explains this process to one of his students, and a general audience of casual spectators.

There are few skills which are as traditional of the American lifestyle as the bullwhip—except for firearms of course. When I speak to people from other parts of the world, the topic of my bullwhip work always comes up, because they usually watch my videos before meeting me. In Japan, their culture is all about the undefeated samurai Miyamoto from The Book of Five Rings. Samurai swords are typical weapons of reverence even to this day in that culture. Elsewhere in the world are similar military celebrities of worship, such as in China with Sun Tzu from The Art of War. Europe has their Napoleon. Every culture has a reverence for how their societies were formed from violence and conquest. However, in America, the art forms of the Wild West were not so much of oppression over a conquered enemy, but over escaping oppression. Progressives have attempted to paint westward expansion in a negative light in America by capturing the plight of the mystic Native Americans and how they were abused under the hand of the cowboy, but this doesn’t pan out within the psychology of America. Most cowboys wanted the same things the Indians wanted—land, freedom, and a love of independence. Both had European style governments as their primary antagonists.

The bullwhip was a symbol of independence because the cowboy used them to herd cattle across the vast plains of ranch living. In remote parts of the world such as Australia they have taken the bullwhip to a high level of art as they still use them to herd livestock. Naturally, cowboys have developed cleaver ways to prove their accuracy with bullwhips, and putting out a candle is one of the highest forms of accuracy that can be achieved. It is proof that such a weapon can be used in a way to not just produce a random noise, but to actually make that noise appear in time and space at the complete control of the handler.

In my life professionally and privately, my work with bullwhips is unmistakably a part of how people see me. I use bullwhip metaphors in almost every facet of my life and no matter what level anybody is dealing with me, bullwhips always come into the conversation. And it gives me great pride to share those metaphors because bullwhips are weapons of precision, not just of brutality. They can be used to kill like a samurai Katana but such violent engagements can be averted almost every time with a carefully placed crack next to the ear of an aggressive adversary. More often than not, violence is avoided when the kind of skill it takes to put out a candle is applied to a contentious situation.

The girl in Gery’s video had never put out a candle before. Her very first time was in front of the camera, so once she had mastered a precise cut, all she needed to do was direct it where Gery told her to, and as can be seen, the flame went out. It really is that simple—but most things are. The bullwhip is a metaphor for some of life’s most complex problems. Once they are understood—they can all be made to look easy. When things appear overwhelming, and too vastly complex, the proper approach has not yet been discovered. In the bullwhip arts, putting out a candle with the crack of a whip is equivalent to declaring that the master has taken various complex elements of physics and simplified them to their desire. And once such things are done between a bullwhip and a flaming candle, they can be applied to everything in life. That is why such things are worth doing—and why I revere the work of bullwhip arts to be among the highest skills performed in reflection of American culture.

The Whip Artistry Studio: A tribute to the beginning of cinema and the Wild West

I wrote yesterday about Richard Best and his Black Lightning Wild West Show.  But the location where we shot the video displayed in that article deserves its own mention, The Whip Artistry Studio of Gery Deer in Jamestown, Ohio is a one of the kind temple dedicated to the art and preservation of the bullwhip.  Gery is currently a freelance television producer and writer in Dayton, but his heart centers on the preservation of Western Arts—particularly the bullwhip.  Like me, he has worked with whips most of his life, and traveled the world providing shows.  Gery and his wife Barb have been on major television shows and have been personally endorsed by “A” list celebrities and stuntmen.  Gery’s Whip Artistry Studio is a museum of old westerns, autographs from Halle Berry, Antonio Banderas and many others, and a tribute to the golden age of cinema.  Gery’s whip holstering systems were used in a film done by The Rock called The Rundown and it was because of that film that Gery specially designed my Cliffhanger quick drawl holster which I wear every day.  My bullwhip holster is the only one of its kind and was made by Gery specifically for my use.

It is sometimes impossible when you know such people to revere them properly for what they are.  I have known Gery for a long time, and we have so many things in common that I don’t often consider how unusual his life and his studio are.  But in a world obsessed with preserving every species of animal that is on the brink of extinction, Gery is fighting to keep alive something that many more progressive modernists hope to force into distant memory, the American cowboy.

As unlikely as it is, Gery’s Jamestown, Ohio studio is all that stands between extinction and advancement of the kind of America that was so beloved by viewers of old Republic Saturday morning matinees, and wonderful silent films like Don Q, Son of Zorro.  As many Hollywood producers these days bulk at such things, it was George Lucas who adopted these very Republic serials and made Star Wars, and Indiana Jones.  Students at Gery’s studios want to learn to crack a whip like Indiana Jones, because those films inspired them.

Gery and I share a great reverence for Douglas Fairbanks, particularly the old film Son of Zorro.  Of course we’ve always loved Indiana Jones, but that character never went to the whip handlers of old, like Douglas Fairbanks, Lash LaRue, and all the Republic Serials—especially another favorite of mine, Zorro’s Fighting Legion.  When I wrote my book The Symposium of Justice I dedicated it to that old Republic serial including naming the restaurant Fletcher Finnegan worked at, “Republics.”

My current love of Star Wars is because Lucas shot those films in the way of those old serials—and that just isn’t done by any other film studio.  And all that harkens back to Douglas Fairbanks and his whip tricks from Don Q, Son of Zorro.  Gery Deer’s whip studio in Jamestown, Ohio is really the last gasp of air holding on to that past attempting to preserve it.  Gery and I both came into our love of bullwhips the same way but he choose to actually move into show business.  At age 46 I have lived my life much the way Don Diego did in Zorro’s Fighting Legion, only I haven’t pretended to be foppish to save my family and reputation from villains.  Gery has taken a non-violent approach to the art, where I’m all about the violence.  Even when I was writing The Symposium of Justice, I didn’t feel comfortable writing about the bullwhip heavy action scenes if I had not done all the stunts in real life to confirm their viability.  And with stories like that, I have never felt comfortable writing about characters like Fletcher Finnegan (Cliffhanger) from behind an author’s stories.  I always felt a responsibility to actually be those characters in real life, otherwise the task was hypocritical.  In that regard, I am a lot more political than Gery.  Gery has made his living often with a whip, as I have not.  But I have used mine to confirm the stunts of Don Q, so that I could write about them knowing what was possible and what wasn’t and what really went on in the life of Zorro in a quest to fight evil.

But in a confusing world where every other influence is competing for attention, that old past ushered in by Douglas Fairbanks is most alive in Jamestown, Ohio, and I love it every time I get to visit.  It is like a farmer returning to his land after plowing a field and smelling the fresh soil, or an artist during a late night epiphany—Gery Deer’s The Whip Artistry Studio is grounding to the roots of cinema, justice, and the genuine pursuit of goodness triumphing over evil.   I never get tired of visiting, and I suspect that I never will.

Eric Holder, Louis Lerner, and Elijah Cummings Should Go To Jail: Public officials and the cover-up they cover-uped

“Forget about me [specifically]. Look at the way the attorney general of the United States was treated yesterday by a House committee,” Eric Holder told the crowd. “What attorney general has ever had to deal with that kind of treatment? What president has ever had to deal with that kind of treatment?”

The remarks drew loud applause from the crowd.

http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2014/04/a-fed-up-eric-holder-goes-after-congress-unprecedented-unwarranted-ugly-and-divisive/

And with that a criminal attempted to divert attention away from him and the president he is protecting with roars from a crowd—but he can no longer outrun the facts. They have caught up to him and those under him—and there is nowhere else to turn.

So what’s going on in Washington for those who don’t normally pay attention to politics…………..well, criminals who have been up to no good have been caught. Eric Holder, the current right hand man of President Obama, Louis Lerner the former head of the IRS, and one of the leading Democrats investigating the IRS scandal of targeting conservatives specifically have been found complicit in the crime of cover-up and nobody seems to know what to do with the unprecedented level of corruption exhibited.

True the Vote founder Catherine Engelbrecht responded Wednesday to reports that Rep. Elijah Cummings’ office may have prompted the IRS to target her group for additional scrutiny.

“Today’s committee action reveals what we knew all along. Partisan politics and the weaponization of government against opponents of this administration is real and continues,” Engelbrecht said in a statement. “Elijah Cummings has blocked the IRS abuse investigation all along. We now see clearly that two branches of government have colluded to target and silence private citizens.”

“America has come to a tipping point,” she added. “No more lies. No more cover-ups. No more collusion. Enough is enough. Finally, we have a chance for the rule of law to be re-established, thanks to the bold efforts of Chairman Issa and Rep. Jordan.”

She concluded: “We filed an ethics complaint against Rep. Cummings in February. Today we’re amending that filing to include this latest revelation. As I have said in my testimony before Congress; I will not retreat, I will not surrender, I will not be intimidated. I will not ask Rep. Cummings, Lois Lerner, Barack Obama, or anyone else, for permission to exercise my constitutional rights.”

House Ways and Means Committee Republicans aren’t ruling out the use of the chamber’s “inherent contempt” authority if Attorney General Eric Holder refuses to act on the panel’s accusations against former IRS official Lois Lerner.

The committee voted Wednesday to seek an investigation of whether Lerner violated federal law by using her power to ensure Right-leaning groups were targeted for extra scrutiny by the agency, giving misleading information during a probe of the matter by the Treasury Department‘s inspector general and using her personal email to conduct official business, which could have resulted in the disclosure of confidential taxpayer information.

“The Ways and Means Committee, led by Chairman [Dave] Camp [R-Mich.], has conducted a serious and thorough investigation of the IRS, uncovering abuses and criminal acts that should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,” House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, said of the referral. “As I’ve said, if Lois Lerner continues to refuse to testify, then the House will hold her in contempt. And we will continue to shine the light on the administration’s abusive actions and use every tool at our disposal to expose the truth and ensure the American people get the answers they deserve.”

Among those tools is the House’s “inherent contempt” authority under the Constitution, which was initially exercised in 1795 during the First Congress and on multiple occasions thereafter. Lerner could be held until January 2015 when a new Congress is seated, which could issue another subpoena and throw her in the clink again if she still balks at testifying.

These are not mere accusations. The government employees mentioned above are criminals. They have knowingly used the power of government to advance their social agenda and they should be punished to the furthest extent of the law. These same people have lied about their conduct when questioned and should have all their activity conducted under public service analyzed and amended accordingly. They are no different from a thug who has robbed a couple outside of a grocery store, or a gunman who holds up a bank. They have committed a crime while representing the Oath of Office, and are despicable examples of social policy conduct.

But many of us, especially at this site have been saying this all along. We are the ones who refused to drink the Kool-aid and comply blindly with the authority of a corrupt Attorney General and an activist president intent to change society—even if it broke the law. The President and his Attorney General used pawns like Louis Lerner and Elijah Cummings to run cover for their attack on conservative groups who stood in the way of their progressive plans. They abused their authority, and now its time to pay for it. The IRS scandal, which will eventually point straight into The White House, is bigger than Watergate ever was. Obama and Holder made the entire issue all about “the cover-up,” because they lied and covered up the truth while looking straight into the eye of the American people.

They should at least lose their jobs and be stripped publicly of their accolades. But if there were any justice……………….any justice at all, they would all go to jail for their violation of the public trust.

Guns and Public Schools: Another kid suspended over a pretend gun

First of all, once the current hippie generation of gun grabbing statist oriented big government slugs begin to fade away into the sunset, public schools are going to find themselves with a major crisis. They have moved way too far to the political left to properly serve American children and their families. Schools in the very near future will be forced into major overhauls of their thinking. Current public school overreaction to everything related to personal firearms will prove destructive to their future survival. Most of the young people schools are picking on now will become very pro gun in their 20s and 30s, and they will become voters and will lash back against these overly liberal tax funded institutions. The reason is that during all the progressive experimentation that has went on around their lives, the feminist issues that removed their mothers from the home leaving kids to raise themselves, the global peace progressive tripe taught to them in their schools, and their television shows laced with deep left-leaning political arguments–video games have been their only refuge—and guns are a big part of that world.   Most young people love guns because of movies and video games and will grow up to be different adults than the current hippie driven relics from the American 60s and that will spell doom for public schools.

The situation is so out of control in current government schools that in New Jersey recently, Glen Meadow Middle School has added its own bizarre entry in the ever-lengthening list of public school policies not aligned with American society according to an article shown below by Legal Insurrection. According to Ethan Chaplin, he was suspended for twirling a pencil in math class. He says that a student, who had been allegedly bullying him, yelled to the teacher that “He’s making gun motions, send him to juvie.” The school responded by suspending Chaplin and the Vernon Schools Superintendent Charles Maranzano insisted that it is the only appropriate response.

The kid’s father, Michael Chaplin, was so outraged that he took the step of recording a conversation between himself, the school’s principal and a guidance counselor — and then posted it on YouTube. It is not clear from the article if this was done with consent but the absence of any allegation of unlawful recording suggests that it was a legal or consensual taping.

http://legalinsurrection.com/2014/04/13-year-old-boy-suspended-for-twirling-pencil-in-gun-motion-manner/

The mention of the word “gun” was evidently enough of a “red flag” to launch an investigation onto Ethan.  He was put through 5 hours of psychiatric testing, where his mental state was evaluated to determine if he was a threat to other students.

http://www.policestateusa.com/2014/ethan-chaplin/

When I was in school I carried around chrome cap gun in my pocket every day, and I often shot it off in the cafeteria during lunch period. The explosion was so loud that it reverberated all through the school. Usually, it would only provoke some startled glances for a few moments, and then everyone would go back to what they were doing. Today, if a kid did what I used to do, the school would be put in lockdown as the FBI would be called in to investigate. Today if a kid would be caught doing the things I did as a kid; they would be locked away in a straight jacket and labeled a menace to society.

Every single day in grade school during recess I played war with my friends on the playground. We made gun shapes with our fingers and would shoot at each other. Every day! It was part of growing up as a boy. We were doing far worse than what Ethan Chaplin did. Public schools have used every tragedy to advance their crusade against the Second Amendment, but eventually it will be to their own detriment. Today in 2014 there are sympathetic ears to listen to their panic driven neurosis. But what has happened is that the gun culture is more alive today than ever before. It is likely that most children know more about guns and ammunition because of video games like Call of Duty, and Gears of War than I did because the games they play tell them all they need to know—and that is a good thing. The closest I could ever get to automatic weapons as a kid was seeing them in movies and my own imagination. Kids toady can fire them in a virtual environment—and they do so for countless hours—more hours than they spend in schools. Progressivism has taken away their parents so video games have raised the children of an entire generation. Most video games have some element of violence to them.   But what it always comes down to is kids are playing the same games I did when I was young. But instead of pretending to shoot with their fingers, they do it on video games. The role and human necessity is the same—testing prowess against others, facing down an enemy, and finding ways to win against impossible odds. Most young males have these types of thoughts—they are testosterone driven natural reactions to the role of being a man.

Public schools ran by former hippie generation statists have gambled with human civilization and lost. They assumed that they could socially engineer out of human desire a need to play with guns and test courage and bravery against other people. The results of that experimentation are a huge failure. More than ever, young people are playing games of prowess against each other either online, or in massive gaming tournaments like Warhammer, X-Wing Minatures, or Magic the Gathering. This government school in New Jersey is just the latest in a long list of public schools caught in their failed support of progressive ideology, and social engineering to manifest into the exact opposite reaction. When young people like Ethan Chaplin become voters—how does anybody think he’s going to vote? Is he going to support the statist school that suspended him for no reason at all? Of course not.

Public schools would have served American society far better if they embraced the Second Amendment instead of fighting against it. They should actually teach gun responsibility in schools, because guns will be a part of the lives of American children either directly or indirectly. But the government schools picked ideology over logic and it will be to their own doom. They took a risk and decided to use tax payer money to radically transform society, and all they have achieved is out-of-touch panicky failure.

Young boys in a capitalist society, which is what America is supposed to be, will always seek to improve themselves in competition with other boys. They will pretend to shoot each other in combat, they will play sports against each other, and they will concoct games of every type to develop their skills against an opponent. Some of the best games I have seen today are the community of X-Wing players that is emerging on the tabletop gaming market. The goal is to blow up each other in combat, but always before and after the games the players like and respect each other—because deep down inside everyone knows that the end game is to get better, and that can only happen when the competition is good. The same tendency is seen in business. Competition is good. Not everyone can be the best, but it is fun to play the lottery ticket of life and try to be the best. And it is even better to respect those who do become the best because competition drove that excellence out of the individual.

Public schools have chosen to align themselves with global equality—which is a long desired tenant of socialism. And they have doomed themselves. 10 years from now, the sympathy that parents have toward these panicky school reactions will only increase. There will be more fathers like Michael Chaplin who will stick up for their children. The answer to the Chaplin family is to homeschool their son, instead of waiting for the school to accept the young man back into the collective student body only to be brainwashed by more progressive tripe. It is the school that’s wrong, not the child. It is the schools that are on the wrong side of American teaching, not that kids that make gun shapes with their hands. It is the schools that are instructing the wrong version of history and have been caught doing it. And the failure is their responsibility completely. The inevitable doom is on their shoulders only—and the pain they will experience is a result of their lost gamble.

Do not feel sorry for the public schools when they cry for mercy in the years to come. They did it to themselves.

The Socialism of a Doctor Note: How doctors and lawyers seek power to start and stop the world

One really stupid misconception that modern American workers have is this nutty notion that doctors and lawyers run the businesses that employ them.  They do not.  Doctors may wish they did run business, but they don’t.  A doctor’s note may legally get an employee off their job for some sniffle, but the desire for the productivity needed by the job vacancy while that excused employee is recovering from their illness persists in spite of whatever a doctor puts on a piece of paper.  A doctor’s note does not make productivity go away, just the responsibility that an employee has to fulfill the parameters of employment.  This is a situation that has been compounded by attorneys for many years that have successfully brought law suits to companies trying to employ people, but finding that they have employee rebellions driven by public school socialism that believe jobs exist in nature and that people have a right to them.  Ambulance chasing lawyers have proven in sympathetic courts that jobs should be protected and have inadvertently brought about a situation of catastrophe in American business—mountains of paperwork compliance and armies of employees protected by law for every sniffle, sore muscle, and mental anguish that unproductive human beings can concoct so that they can sit on a couch and watch tabloid daytime television.  Lawyers and doctors have very nearly destroyed American productivity.

I am reminded of this trend as the arguments for higher minimum wages are cast forward by the same foolish politicians who gave rise to lawyers manipulation of the medical industry—who handed to doctors the power to write a note to excuse unproductive behavior.  Advanced by activists lawyers looking to make a name for themselves and their eight years of study to be accepted into a BAR association of similar such parasites, the intention has never been protection of capitalism, individual sovereignty, but collective salvation and the slow spread of socialism through trusted doctors to insecure patients.  Those parasites have taken American ingenuity and strangled it into a nearly lifeless corpse and they could care less as they travel for month-long vacations to Bahama vacations destinations—oblivious to their detrimental impact of their legal activism.

Government regulations of every kind from zoning to safety compliance officers trained also with six to eight years of college socialism believe they are doing the American worker good by defending their lives and limb from the evil tyrannies of the employer.  But all they have really done is destroy the desire to hire extra employees and replace those they do employ with machines to avoid the pain-in-the-ass of providing a job to an employee planning to sit home under a doctor’s excuse.

A machine does not show up after five days of missing work with a doctor note excusing their adventures on the couch expecting the work that needed to be done to still be sitting there waiting on them.  It was attorneys who painted companies into corners with lawsuits giving doctors so much power over modern productivity.

Every company in America is now terrified of the pharmaceutical stooges known as doctors—those drug dealers who pass out treatments in the form of “medication” to keep large lobby groups in Washington rich and well equipped for District of Columbia strip joints.  These same doctors get kids addicted to methylphendate (Ritalin), adults onto high blood pressure and thyroid medication, and older people onto regiments of pills that their tattered relics of bodies depend on for substance once addicted.  Most doctors are agents of a slow death making every ailment seem like a catastrophe that will bring the world to a close if their advice is not followed.  Who gave these people this authority–lawyers and sympathetic socialist courts.

About six years ago I had ACL surgery to repair an injury I incurred playing basketball.  The torn ACL was something that caused me all kinds of issues.  The loose knee gave out on me when I’d run up and down stairs and one time while I jumped through a wall of fire with my bullwhips my feet slipped in the wet grass.  My knee popped out of socket so badly that my Femur drove directly into the ground where my knee was supposed to be leaving a strange dirt stain in the middle of my thigh from where the skin stretched.  We wrapped the knee to hold it together and I finished the stunt anyway, but shortly thereafter I sought out the latest in ACL surgery methods—the kind that was putting professional athletes back on the field within a year.  I eventually found a good one and had the surgery done.  That doctor was so proud of his work that he told me I’d be able to walk out of the hospital—technically, but legally, I’d have to stay off it for a few days—which I did.  I was assigned to 12 weeks of physical therapy at a cost to my insurance company of around $200 bucks a visit.  I went for two weeks, learned all the exercises they were having me do and I made a tremendously quick recovery.  At 9 weeks I was ready to stop wasting my time on physical therapy but of course the technicians were giving me all the reasons I needed to continue coming.  Little did they know I wasn’t taking any of the drugs they were prescribing to me, and I was doing extra work on my knee at home against their advice.  They were perplexed that I had gotten better so rapidly.  At 9 weeks I told them what I had been doing and it would seem that I had thrown Holy water on a demon from the 10th dimension by the recoil of revulsion that they exhibited—and keep in mind that this was a very highly respected organization that works on professional athletes—not some hole in the wall in a second-rate establishment.

I stopped attending therapy and they hassled me to no end once I canceled the rest of my appointments over the next 8 weeks.  They had been counting on that money coming in three times a week for that duration. They were terrified of law suits in case my knee regressed and used this kind of dialogue as a way to make me cast doubt on my decision.  But I was done, I could walk and run fine and I knew better how to manage my body than they did.  I could do what the physical therapists were doing to me at home—but faster.

In my entire life I have never used a medical condition as an excuse to not do a job.  I have never taken a doctor’s note to an authority figure hoping to get out of a task I was responsible for.  I have had major surgeries, dislocated bones, plastic surgery and major illnesses—and I have never used a doctor note to get out of work or even excuse a day off.  Never.  Based on my experience most diagnosis, most prescriptions, most excused days off, are needless.  Yet they occur because of activist lawyers trained in socialism from their law schools who gave doctors power that they couldn’t get any other way.  Lawyers interpret the law given by the political system and have directly been a conduit to destroy American individuality in favor of collectivism.  Free market doctors have been pulled into government control through regulation, their long periods of training within socialist institutionalism, and enticed with the power to stop or start the world with a doctor note.  That power was given to doctors by the legal system for the purpose of gaining control of the workplace by government. Lawyers write and interpret the law which feeds government growth.

The result has been catastrophic for American productivity.  Too many people believe falsely that a doctor has authority over a company, or the need to produce or not produce.  That power has been protected by lawyers as agents of greed in full support of government growth and economic statism.  Aside from the corrosive labor unions who expect to be paid for sitting on their unproductive asses, the doctor note is the next greatest contributor to American inefficiency and lack of job creation.  No employer in their right mind wants to hire more people who expect to be paid a $10 dollar minimum wage only to take off several times a year because a doctor excuses them.  Usually, minimum wage workers tend to take full advantage of doctor notes to get them out of work—which they are being paid to do.  Their position as an employee means that an employer has a need for their labor.  If they are at home with a doctor note, they are not able to perform that task.  But that doesn’t make the necessity for those tasks to wait for the employee to get better and return to work.  This isn’t France.  People do not get paid unless production occurs, and it doesn’t occur if nobody shows up for work to do it.  And a doctor’s note and the lawyers who protect them with the arm of government at their back do not trump the strategy and needs of the American job creators—the businessmen.

The Way of the Fighter: American rebellion against rigidity, command structure and orthodox behavior

Please watch at least this first video for context and background on Claire Lee Chennault:

This isn’t the first time I have revealed a personal passion that I have for the American Volunteer Group who fought in China under Claire Lee Chennault. CLICK HERE TO REVIEW. What the A.V.G. did in just a few months in China against the vastly superior Japanese is the epitome of American ingenuity and exhibits the true benefits of capitalism. There is a reason that the A.V.G was so dramatically successful against the Japanese airforce and made the allied Royal Air Force seem like stumbling fools in comparison. The A.V.G were soldiers of fortune who were unorthodox and despised authority. They were not only in China for the right and ability to fight an enemy against all odds, but they were there to get rich. The Chinese government attacked by the Japanese from the East and the communists coming out of the North paid American pilots flying outdated hot rod P-40’s $500 per kill—unofficially—making some of the best A.V.G. aces quite wealthy. But that wasn’t all, it was the mechanics and ground crew which kept the planes flying using innovation that only America had shown an ability to perform that eventually tipped the scales of war toward the A.V.G. There are very important lessons that were on display over China during the early days of World War II that were every bit as real as the John Wayne classic—and favorite film of mine, The Flying Tigers. It was in this film that I first learned about Claire Chennault. But as heroic as the Flying Tigers were portrayed by Wayne in that film, the reality was actually much more spectacular. One of my most treasured books is the rare one written in 1949 by Chennault himself called Way of the Fighter which went into great detail about the A.V.G. and how eventually General Stilwell would screw everything up in Asia—after World War II.

Chennault as leader of the A.V.G. produced a group of fighting men who were charismatically over-the-top with valor, but were deadly accurate as fighting men. Once America officially entered the war, Stilwell was in charge and the A.V.G. was dissolved into official military control, and their kill ratio declined rapidly. Chennault was so critical of Stilwell, and the American government that the book Way of the Fighter was removed from print quickly and to this day is very rare. To get a copy, it costs anywhere from $150 to $300 dollars for a beat-up copy. The book is a treasure of American spirit and is a key to the kind of talent and drive which makes The United States so unique.

The Flying Tigers, according to the Way of the Fighter was predicted by military experts to not last three weeks in combat against the Japanese. Instead over a 7 month period over Burma, China, Thailand, and French Indo-China the A.V.G. destroyed 299 Japanese planes with another 153 most likely destroyed but unaccounted for. All this with just 12 P-40’s lost in combat and 61 on the ground from Japanese strafing missions. Only four A.V.G. pilots were killed in air combat; six killed by antiaircraft fire; three by enemy bombs on the ground; and three were taken prisoner. Ten more died as a result of flying accidents. The Flying Tigers were so hated by the Japanese because of the tremendous kill ratio against them that they promised on their radio broadcasts to shoot A.V.G. prisoners as bandits on sight. But the three captured pilots were treated with respect indicating the enemy’s genuine admiration for Chennault’s organization.

There were two keys to this success, the first of which was capitalism. The pilots were the best there was and wanted to make a lot of money shooting down Japanese planes. The money attracted the best pilots that were available during the prewar times leading up to World War II. The other of course is Claire Lee Chennault himself. He would eventually become a military general but during his A.V.G. days he was simply a hired strategist for the Chinese who desperately needed a creative, “western” mind to protect them from the invading Japanese. Chennault was extremely unorthodox. In some respects he was very strict; in others he was very lenient. He knew when to apply pressure and when not to, which is a distinctly American trait that military leaders all around the world scoffed at—including The United States. But it was because of Chennault’s manner that the A.V.G. was so incredibly good.

Chennault would train his soldier of fortune pilots relentlessly saying, “You will face Japanese pilots superbly trained in mechanical flying. They have been drilled for hundreds of hours in flying precise formations and rehearsing set tactics for each situation they may encounter. Japanese pilots fly by the book, and these are the books they use.” Chennault would then dump the books into the laps of his star pilots. “Study them, and you will always be one jump ahead of the enemy.” Chennault would stand still for effect, peer at the pilots ruthlessly then say, “They (Japanese) have plenty of guts but lack initiative and judgment. They go into battle with a set tactical plan and follow it no matter what happens. Bombers will hold their formations until they are all shot down. Fighters always try the same tricks over and over again. God help the American pilot who tries to fight them according to their plans. The object of our tactics is to break up their formations and make them fight according to our style. Once the Japanese are forced to deviate from their plan, they are in trouble. Their rigid air discipline can be used as a powerful weapon against them.”

Chennault would present charts, graphs, maps, and hours upon hours of practice flying personally mentoring each of his pilots drilling them, building them up as individuals—treating each of them as though they were the star quarterback on a football team, and they performed for him spectacularly. Once he had their trust, and their ears he would say, “You must use the strong points of your equipment against the weak points of the enemy. Each type of plane has its own strength and weakness. The pilot who can turn his advantages against the enemy’s weakness will win every time. You can count on a higher top speed, faster dive, and superior firepower. The Jap fighters have a faster rate of climb, higher ceiling, and better maneuverability. They can turn on a dime and climb almost straight up. If they can get you into a turning combat, they are deadly.” Chennault would then pull his finger across his throat to drive home the point as the heat of the Toungoo airfield poured in from a tent flap letting in the summer sun, sweat dripping off the fighters as they listened attentively.

“Use your speed and diving power to make a pass, shoot and break away. You have the edge in that kind of combat. All your advantages are brought to bear on the Japanese deficiencies. Close your range, fire, and dive away. Never stay within range of the Jap’s defensive firepower any longer than you need to deliver an accurate burst. You need to sharpen your shooting eye. Nobody ever gets too good at gunnery. The more Jap’s you get with your first burst, the fewer there are to jump you later. Accurate fire saves ammunition. Your plane carries a limited number of bullets. There is nothing worse than finding yourself in a fight with empty guns.”

The Flying Tigers would become part of the official American military under the United States Army Air Forces’ 23rd Fighter Group. The effectiveness of the A.V.G. pilots declined quickly under the regimented military life insisted upon by Stilwell. However some ace pilots like Tex Hill would stay on and help train other American pilots in the ways of the famous A.V.G. and Chennault’s battle tactics would migrate from aircraft carrier to carrier throughout the entire Pacific allowing America to gradually beat back the Japanese and eventually dominate them. The victories in the Pacific theater were not a result of General Stilwell or MacArthur, but rather because of Clair Chennault. Without Chennault, America would not have won in the Pacific and Japan would have taken China months before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. This would have given them access to numerous natural resources that would have allowed them to dominate the entire continent of Asia. World War II really came down to two generals who broke official rules of orthodox command, Patton in Europe took Trier with only two divisions sarcastically replying to his furious commanders who instructed him otherwise that he would “give it back,” if they didn’t approve of his methods, and of course Chennault’s epic battles with Stilwell—Stilwell obviously jealous of Chennault denied him of supplies and manpower secretly hoping it would end the winning reputation of the former A.V.G. commander. The victories in the Pacific and in Europe were won by soldiers of fortune, and unorthodox command. It was not just won by bravery, or equipment, but by people who knew how to use the strengths of their equipment against the enemy and were not afraid to upset the command structure of their superiors. That is the “American” way!

On the other hand the allies, particularly the R.A.F. out of England with their Spitfires had a much more difficult time. For instance, in the battle over Rangoon, the R.A.F had losses comparable to the Japanese while the American A.V.G. had a 15 to 1 kill ratio fighting right alongside them all. This is because the A.V.G. were unorthodox freedom fighters combating for money and adventure while the R.A.F and Japanese pilots were regimented military fighters who would follow orders to a fault, and could be counted on to die if needed for the greater good.

After America defeated the Japanese, Stilwell, foolishly advised command that there was no other need for America to guard China from any hostile threat in that region even though Claire Chennault was practically jumping up and down begging America to stop the push by communists into China from Russia. Chennault warned that there would be more war, likely in Korea and Vietnam if America did not continue to defend China. Truman, and American military command ignored Chennault with the same institutionalized swagger that they professed that the Flying Tigers would be destroyed within three weeks. They blew off Chennault’s warnings, blacklisted his book, Way of the Fighter, and assumed that they had won the Pacific war based on their West Point educations. They were wrong. Within a few years America was back at war with Korea, then a few years after that with Vietnam. But at that point communism had already affected the collective based cultures of Asia and had even gone to work in America under the counter-culture movement starting at colleges within The United States.

Few people would believe that the slow slide into such an abyss of global communism and socialism began when America won World War II and stopped listening to General Claire Lee Chennault. But it did. Too many Americans at the time did not see communism as a threat but did see Japan as a threat because of their obvious hostilities toward the outside world. However, as Chennault published his book, Way of the Fighter, Chinese communists were taking over the country violently torturing the kind of people the A.V.G. fought so valiantly to defend, leaving them alone and defenseless. Communist China then moved against Tibet and America did nothing about it. Just that fast the entire land mass of Asia was under communist control and quickly seeping into all of Europe through the less offensive term of socialism. Communists did to the world what Chennault did to the Japanese pilots, they exposed the rigidity of American politics and picked off their enemies one by one over a long period of time—just as Chennault had warned.

The lessons should be clear, freedom, capitalism and innovation beats rigidity, command structure, and orthodox behavior. And it isn’t group consensus that wins wars and defends nations, but ultimately solitary minds, valor, and raw courage that is more unpredictable then structured. And thus, that is the Way of the Fighter, and the way that nations prosper.

Matt Clark Beats Glenn Beck: The Perestroika Deception and the similarities to college basketball

I have to give Matt Clark credit, he beat Glenn Beck to a story based on the release of my article, “The Pronoun “I”: Communist infiltration of America by Perestroika Deception.”  Beck covered the Perestroika Deception on The Blaze during the week of March 22nd a few weeks after several of my readers sent it to contacts at Beck’s network.  But without knowing that, Clark was booking me on his show the night before The Blaze released their research into the long time conspiracy theory turned true.  When I wrote my article it was my hope that media outlets like Beck’s and Clark’s would cover the story and get the message out to Americans quickly so that they could understand what was happening on the world stage between Russia and Ukraine.  Matt Clark had me on his radio program today to talk about the Perestroika Deception during his 1-3 PM show on WAAM Ann Arbor, Michigan and the impact to the world that deception has had.    You can see the hour-long interview at the two videos below.

Also during this week was the start of March Madness, the gigantic NCAA basketball tournament in The United States.  I watched several games, particularly the University of Cincinnati against Harvard.  UC was a (5) seed playing the underdog Harvard who was a (12), so the game shouldn’t have even been close.   Cincinnati should have been able to destroy Harvard, but once the game began it was obvious after the first two minutes that Harvard would win the game—and I declared so much to many people—which is what ended up happening.  Cincinnati made a close game of it for a little while, but never led, and was never able to stop the momentum of Harvard.   Cincinnati was known for its great defense, and Harvard countered by shooting 3-pointers from behind the arch crushing the Bearcat zone, and taking control of the game.  Anyone who is involved in either a military maneuver or a sporting exercise understands that momentum is of utmost importance during strategic engagements, and the way to gain momentum is to keep an opponent from knowing what’s coming.  This is why coaches cover their mouths when they call out plays to their teams, and why secrecy is very important.

Most people understand sports, they understand why deception is needed to achieve victory, and they understand the nature of a late game rally to attempt to capture momentum.  Human beings design their games after their very lives, so on a perceptual level, it is understood why such strategic implementations are important.  Yet for years many thought that the Perestroika Deception from Russian was a conspiracy theory, and that the former U.S.S.R really wanted to be friends with America.  American politicians foolishly dismantled the main offensive weapon of the Cold War—NASA and turned their research into memos about leftist global warming concerns and decommissioned the Space Shuttle forcing American astronauts to hitch a ride to space with the Russians—their former enemies.  The move by the Obama administration seemed stylish at the time but little did anybody know that the seeds of deception planted by the KGB in America through the education system, through commitment to the United Nations, and a massive debt racked up playing caretaker to the world was all part of the plan—and that Obama was a creation of that deception during the 60s when all his primary mentors were communist advocates—where his college friends were communist revolutionaries and his wife would even work closely with the known American terrorist Bernadine Dorn.  All those elements were results of seeds planted by the Russian KGB in the late 1950s, and by 1989 Russia essentially changed their defense against The United States from a zone to man-to-man.  The defense called by the KGB was the Perestroika Deception and it allowed them to climb out from under American capitalism and capture the momentum of their strategic engagement with the West.

I had a little fun with Matt at beating Beck to the story, but in all fairness, conspiracy theorists have known about the Perestroika Deception for a long time and have been labeled as “tin hat loons.”  I remember a UC basketball game against Duke in the great Alaskan Shootout where UC was down by one point with only seconds to play.  Duke was the number one team in America and had something like 5 McDonald’s All Americans sitting on the bench, let alone playing the game.  UC obviously had to hit a quick basket but they had to deceive Duke to get an open shot.  Bob Huggins positioned Kenyon Martin the future NBA player at half court to draw the attention of Duke players who would try to foul the big man once he cut to the basket.  The Duke players anticipated that it would be Martin who would take the shot.  Instead Melvin Levett was shadowing the sideline opposite court as far away from Martin as possible.  When a long pass was thrown across the court football style to Martin—Kenyon then tossed off the ball to a cutting Levett who was wide open for a dunk that Duke never saw coming.  UC had beaten the titans of college basketball, Duke and the headlines littered every newspaper in the country.  The only way the play worked was with deception, misdirection, and strategic implementation.  People understand these things when it relates to sports, but it is inconvenient to apply the same perceptual knowledge to the world of global politics.  So they often don’t see the signs of such strategies, such as what Russia had done with the Perestroika Deception.

The reason that Vladimir Putin is not afraid of Barack Obama is because he knows that as a child of the 60s, Obama was built from the ground up by the KGB infiltration of communism into the American education system.  As I told Matt during our interview one of the reasons all these things are so clear to me now is because I was an extreme rebel during my school days and never accepted any instruction that would cause my mind to acknowledge such deceptive strategies.  Obama, who is only a few years older than I am—did.  He was raised by flower children hippies and old people who loved collectivism.  His strongest father figures were all communist revolutionaries and those were direct creations of the KGB at the time.  Putin knows exactly what Obama will do and when he will do it, because it was Putin’s KGB which shaped the mind of Obama—so there is nothing to fear from America when it is led by such an easily controlled mind.

I knew Obama picked Harvard to win over Cincinnati, and during the whole game Cincinnati attempted to win by being conventional—by putting the ball in the hands of their best player.  Unlike the game against Duke, where it was deception that won the game, UC tried to play against Harvard straight-up.  Harvard defended against those best players, and they won the game.  Putin is playing the same game against Obama, and he knows the American president is not intellectually capable to deal with Russia as it has been disguised under the Perestroika Deception.  Now Americans are angry that they cannot compete with Russia, we are intertwined with the world in ways that prevent capitalism domination of the global marketplace, leaving us all stuck together like free spirits glued to a first grade student’s art class project.  Putin is making a move against the world knowing that military action cannot happen, because America is too far in debt to China, and China as a communist country was formed by Russia.  Who controls the strings to China—it isn’t the United States?  You can read more about Glenn Beck’s coverage of the Perestroika Deception at the following link:

http://www.theblaze.com/blog/2014/03/19/what-if-an-ex-kgb-officer-predicted-that-the-ussr-would-fake-its-own-collapse-to-ultimately-defeat-the-west-and-no-one-listened/

After a reader tipped me off to the Perestroika Deception and I did some extensive research on my own, I wrote “The Pronoun “I”: Communist infiltration of America by Perestroika Deception” to take it out of the realm of conspiracy into a serious discussion of military, and social strategy.  I count on people like Clark and Beck to then take the next leap forward with their massive platforms on talk radio.  Beck often has a 15 million listener footprint, so it is good when he talks about the Perestroika Deception to the millions of uninitiated masses who wouldn’t otherwise know about it.  Those people who read here and sent it to The Blaze have yourselves to thank.  You did a very good thing.  Beck is often way out ahead of everybody, but this time it was Matt Clark who beat him to the story of the century, and put WAAM radio in the town of Ann Arbor, Michigan square in the sites of Vladimir Putin—which is quite an honor.  Because the thing that Putin doesn’t understand and the reason his KGB had to use the Perestroika Deception in the first place is due to people like Matt, Beck and my readers here at Overmanwarrior’s Wisdom who are clearly superior to Russia, Europe, China and everywhere else that there is collective salvation driving their social and economic trends.  It’s not Obama who Putin ultimately has to fight, it is us—and he cannot beat us in a straight fight.  He and his Russian counterparts must rely on deception—and once that deception is known, their plan is ruined.  On Saturday March 22, 2014 at 1-3 PM Matt Clark played his part in ruining that strategy against Putin, and the world is better off because of it.  YouTube is more powerful than the Voice of America was back in the Cold War days, and our interview will be on it for as long as YouTube exists in cyberspace—where people from all over the world can see it.  As the Ukrainians stockpile their rocks and sticks to fight the Russian military, Americans are sharpening their knives, loading their guns and also preparing for the inevitable failure of our own puppet politicians controlled by Putin and his Perestroika Deception.

And people like me are chomping at the bit for a chance to do more than just talk on the radio…………………………….  I would love to see Putin try to ride his horse down my street with his shirt off displaying his massive stature of 5’ 2” or whatever trying to look bold and regal.  He wouldn’t last long—which is why he must use the Perestroika Deception against America.

“Radioactive” : A song about waking up from ADD

Even though I don’t typically enjoy lyrical music, occasionally one comes out that I like quite a bit. During 2013 my favorite video game was Assassin’s Creed III, and I fell in love with the song “Radioactive” which was part of the marketing campaign for that game. You can hear the song below as it was presented to the imagery of the game which allowed players to immerse themselves in the Revolutionary War of America in a way that had never been done before.  The game was just fantastic, and the song “Radioactive” became one that I enjoyed for more reasons evolving beyond Assassin’s Creed III

Radioactive” is a song recorded by American rock band Imagine Dragons for their major-label debut EPContinued Silence and later on their debut studio album, Night Visions, as the opening track. “Radioactive” was first sent to radio on April 2, 2012[1] and again on October 29, 2012.[2] Musically, “Radioactive” is an alternative rock song with elements of electronic rock and dubstep, while containing cryptic lyrics of apocalyptic and revolutionist themes.

The song received acclaim from critics who praised the production, lyrics, and vocals, calling it a highlight on the album. Due to heavy rotation on commercials and trailers, the song became a sleeper hit, peaking at number three on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart, and has so far spent nearly a year and a half on that chart. It became their first top 10 single, and also broke the record for slowest ascension to the Top 5 in chart history.[3] It currently holds the record for most weeks spent on the Billboard Hot 100 at 78 weeks.[4] It was the third best-selling song of 2013,[5] and was also the No. 3 song on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2013 year-ending behind “Thrift Shop” and “Blurred Lines“.[6] The song has also reached No. 1 in Sweden and in the top 20 in several countries including Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom, becoming their most successful single to date.

Imagine Dragons is an American alternative rock band from Las Vegas, Nevada. The band gained exposure following the September 2012 release of their debut studio album, Night Visions, which peaked at number 2 on the weekly Billboard 200 chart. Following the release of Night Visions, Imagine Dragons embarked on a world tour, and performed on major late night shows. According to Billboard Imagine Dragons topped the year-end rock rankings for 2013.[1] Billboard also named Imagine Dragons “The Breakthrough Band of 2013,” and Rolling Stone named their single “Radioactive” “the biggest rock hit of the year.”[2][3][4]MTV also called them “the year’s biggest breakout band.”[5]

Imagine Dragons’ line up includes vocalist Dan Reynolds, guitarist Wayne “Wing” Sermon, bassist Ben McKee and drummer Daniel Platzman.[4]

Here are the lyrics to the song:

“Radioactive”

Whoa, oh, oh
Whoa, oh, oh
Whoa, oh, oh
Whoa

I’m waking up to ash and dust
I wipe my brow and I sweat my rust
I’m breathing in the chemicals

I’m breaking in, shaping up, then checking out on the prison bus
This is it, the apocalypse
Whoa

I’m waking up, I feel it in my bones
Enough to make my systems blow
Welcome to the new age, to the new age
Welcome to the new age, to the new age
Whoa, oh, oh, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh, oh, I’m radioactive, radioactive
Whoa, oh, oh, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh, oh, I’m radioactive, radioactive

I raise my flags, don my clothes
It’s a revolution, I suppose
We’ll paint it red to fit right in
Whoa

I’m breaking in, shaping up, then checking out on the prison bus
This is it, the apocalypse
Whoa

I’m waking up, I feel it in my bones
Enough to make my systems blow
Welcome to the new age, to the new age
Welcome to the new age, to the new age
Whoa, oh, oh, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh, oh, I’m radioactive, radioactive
Whoa, oh, oh, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh, oh, I’m radioactive, radioactive

All systems go, the sun hasn’t died
Deep in my bones, straight from inside

I’m waking up, I feel it in my bones
Enough to make my systems blow
Welcome to the new age, to the new age
Welcome to the new age, to the new age
Whoa, oh, oh, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh, oh, I’m radioactive, radioactive
Whoa, oh, oh, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh, oh, I’m radioactive, radioactive

Reynolds has struggled most of his life with depression and ADD and anxiety issues. He explained to AbsolutePunk that he penned this song “Radioactive,” “coming out of a pretty serious spell of depression and having a new awakening and a real vigor for life.” He added: “That’s the general thing where that song came from. There’s more specifics to it, but that’s the basic, general idea.”  In a time that we currently live in where so many young people have been diagnosed and treated with Attention Deficit Disorder, and HDAD literally an entire generation of young people are becoming aware that they have been deliberately stifled mentally by pharmaceutical companies looking to make a lot of money off a made up disease.  Creative people like Dan Reynolds look to have become aware of this stifling as he has a past with these public education attempts to put clamps on the mind of people with exceptional ability so to equalize them with students of less aptitude.  That is the reason for ADD diagnosis. Medicating the made up disease is purely to stifle the mind of the victim and Dan Reynolds has been through this process.

His frustration is clear in the music.  The subtle lyrics come out as though he were waking up from a dream—a cloud of haze deliberately inflicted upon the mind and the intense drum beats during the song are the natural impulse to action trying to emerge past the drugs and social resistance to exceptionalism.  I find the song “Radioactive” to be an appropriate metaphor for our entire society, globally.  We have all been subdued by intelligentsia, and we are finally waking up………slowly.

If ADD diagnosis was around when I went to school, there would be no doubt the teachers would have tried to put me on every drug known to numb my mind into something they were more comfortable with.  Thank God I didn’t have to go through that fight.  I have arrived to my adulthood without the struggles that the band members of Imagine Dragons have had to deal with.  Works of art like their music are gifts to a free society and an inquisitive culture.  The official music video, also shown here is just another subtle layer to the song’s meaning—the band members are imprisoned below a ring of death where innocent puppets are fighting out battles metaphorical to what we all face every day.   The gamblers around the ring are making bets playing us all against each other until an innocent little creature arrives into the ring and destroys all the villains.  Good stuff.

Not all rock music is offshoots of Aliester Crowley and the culture of destruction that are often associated with the Thelema.  In a free market, like what does exists to a large extent in America, bands like Imagine Dragons have a chance to compete with everyone else—and excel.  Thank goodness for that, because the song “Radioactive” is a song of great importance to our current time and the minds that hear the music and realize on a subconscious level the meaning.  We are waking up; the flag we fly is red, but not the red of tyrannies from the past, but more like the pirate’s flag of “no quarter given.”  It is a revolution and the sun still shines.  Now it’s just a matter of time before everyone joins those already awake to hoist that flag to the next step of human evolution—and it is not conducive to the current class of dissidents who have prescribed a society to the drugs of diagnosis for ADD so to protect themselves from overachieving intelligence.

“Radioactive” is about hope………..a hope that through the tyrannies of every dominating force known, the human mind can wake up and react in a pursuit of freedom that is only known in the deepest recesses of every cell in our bodies.  I simply love the song and what it is doing for a generation of young people—a quiet intensity that is ever-growing toward a social fortissimo that is not yet known.  Powerful stuff.  If you are currently on medicine designed to treat ADD or some other related diagnosis, get off the stuff right now–and free your mind to its true potential.  Be the drum in the song “Radioactive” and beat with all the vigor that your life has the potential to produce.

The World Wide Threat of Public Education: Reshaping the minds of youth at ANY cost

 This from Fox News:

“Uwe and Hannelore Romeike came to the United States in 2008 seeking political asylum. They fled their German homeland in the face of religious persecution for homeschooling their children. They wanted to live in a country where they could raise their children in accordance with their Christian beliefs.  So they came to The United States.  The Romeikes were initially given asylum, but the Obama administration objected – claiming that German laws that outlaw homeschooling do not constitute persecution.  Obama’s administration essentially decided that the relationship America had with Germany was more important than the individual beliefs of the citizens who wished to flee a system they did not wish to participate in.  Obama’s administration built their case against the Romeikes by saying,  “The goal in Germany is for an open, pluralistic society,” the Justice Department wrote in a legal brief last year. “Teaching tolerance to children of all backgrounds helps to develop the ability to interact as a fully functioning citizen in Germany.”On Monday, the Supreme Court declined to hear the Romeike’s appeal siding with the Justice Department and Germany – paving the way for the Christian family of eight to be deported.”

http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2014/03/03/team-obama-wins-fight-to-have-christian-home-school-family-deported/

Now this story:

An actress who was formerly quiet about her political beliefs has come out against what she calls “a progressive agenda” in America’s public schools.  (It’s about time.)Sam Sorbo, the wife of “Hercules” actor Kevin Sorbo, homeschools her children and recently began publicly writing about the topic of education.“Of course school is the most political, because that’s where the progressive agenda is coming out the strongest and the hardest,” said Sorbo.“You people who send your kids to school, you have no idea what the schools are doing to their fresh little brains, in brainwashing them into this progressive, liberal—it’s antithetical to America, the agenda that they’re being indoctrinated with,” Sorbo said.

 http://blog.heritage.org/2014/03/02/hollywood-actress-public-schools-brainwashing-kids-progressive-agenda/

While it is good to see people pushing back against the government schools in America, the problem is not isolated to only The United States—it is a global problem.  When it is mentioned that progressivism has infected the schools of the world, it is in all actuality socialism and communism that those schools are teaching.  The Romeikes fled Germany hoping to gain freedom in America, but were turned away by the Obama administration who otherwise promotes “open boarders.”  Obama supports illegal immigration, he supports tolerance of other cultures—until the culture is a Christian one looking to flee the international grip that progressives have on public schools.  The Justice Department is seeking to preserve that grip, which is why they singled out this simple family to make a point to all others considering such a move.

Some high-profile Hollywood types are beginning to smell what’s been cooking for a long time, people like Sam Sorbo.  Some of us, particularly at this site of Overmanwarrior’s Wisdom have been against public education for a long time and it is refreshing to see people finally starting to stand up for themselves and calling out public education and the commitment to progressive politics which is taught there.  But we are far deeper down the well than a lot of people care to admit to.

It should be obvious by Obama’s actions what the goal of public education is not just in America, but across the world—they wish to capture the minds of every child born and to reshape those minds into compliant government drones obedient to the state governed by The United Nations.  This is why Obama cares about the feelings of Germany instead of feeling honored that the Romeikes wished to trade away all they ever knew for a land of the unknown in America so that they could remove their children away from the progressive teaching of the world’s public schools controlled by government.

The crazed progressives know that so long as homeschooling options exists that some children will escape from their grip and will grow up to become exceptional—and compared to the mindless drones from the public schools, the imbalance will be obvious—and the government schools will be viewed as failures.  The only way the progressive model can succeed over the long haul is to remove the value judgment of an option so that children have nowhere but the government to instruct them—superseding their parents.

This is why Obama injected his administration into the poor situation of the Romeikes, and the Supreme Court played right along with the global deception.  (I heard one commentator on Fox mystified that the Supreme Court ruled in this way since most of them were appointed by “conservative” presidents.  The “Bush” presidents were not conservative—they were both progressive types—for the record.  Ronald Reagan was a born again progressive espousing conservative value at the end of his life, but spent all the years’ prior sympathetic to socialist, communist, and progressive causes.  The Supreme Court is not a conservative body of legal analysis)  Thank goodness people like Sam Sorbo are finally speaking out against public education because if more people knew what was really going on in public education more people would be clearly upset.  The Obama administration would not be so confident to deport the Romeikes while at the same time advocating the merits of illegal immigration for every drug dealer, whore, and child molester who wishes to cross America’s boarders and plant themselves into neighborhoods in every city of The United States.  Out of all those people, the Romeikes are a far greater threat to Obama and the country of Germany because of what they represent—a resistance to the progressive attack on the children of the world—an attack against their minds—and future.  The level of attention given to the Romeikes by supposedly the most powerful man in the world—President Obama is validation that everything and more said by Sam Sorbo is true and far more dangerous than anybody is yet ready to admit.

These are not good people in public education.  They may individually be nice neighbors, trustworthy baby sitters, and reasonable people who seem harmless.  But what they are teaching children is the real danger—collectivism driven by communist influence planted smack dab in the middle of The United State Department of Education.  The Romeikes exposed this attempt and the Justice Department prosecuted them for it.  And that is all the evidence anybody really needs to understand what the real intention of public education is—and it is not to teach kids to read, write, and do arithmetic.  It is to change them away from what a parent would otherwise raise, into a servant of the state and an eventual empty carcass lacking the individuality of the pronoun “I” on a path of world-wide recognition that will only accept the term, “we.”

Teachers Who Shrugged: Messages from Galt’s Gulch

It is time to have a serious discussion about education outside the realm of simple difficulties in funding it. It is time to challenge any assertion that government schools have of taking American schools into a realm suitable for a “global marketplace.”  Any educator who says such things should be instantly terminated for non conformance by American standards.  As proven, the rest of the world has been corrupted by the Cold War of the 20th Century where communism spread through virtually every institution of academics in the world, from Jakarta to Cambridge, to Yale.  To understand more clearly, read the book We The Living.  It will tell all everything they need to know about the current problems in public education.  There is NO doubt that the conditions described in that book are what’s causing our present problems in education.  Yet only in America has any real economic progress of any worth taken place.  If American economic markets failed, the car industry in Japan, China, Korea, Germany and elsewhere would be destroyed, the iPhone factories in China would whither away.  Many other products that are produced by American companies in oversee markets essentially to run away from American labor unions and the tyranny of the Department of Labor, and the EPA would cease, because the initiative to create those markets started in America and no place else.   It is time to have a heart to heart discussion of just how bad the situation truly is and to stop apologizing to the world for being so damn good, and America has been.  The rest of the world should try to be like America, not America trying to be like everyone else corrupted by communist attempts to alter their economies.

After my article the other day about the OEA union in Ohio, I received a lot of interesting feedback from my friends in Galt’s Gulch, it’s an online community who have created in cyberspace the kind of Atlantis found in Ayn Rand’s novel Atlas Shrugged.  The filmmakers created the place to promote their Atlas films, but the site has taken on a life of its own where really intelligent people from all levels of society are spending time with like-minded enthusiasts who are generally philosophic Objectivists.  I would say that the intellectual capacities of the typical people who spend time in the Gulch are well above average, so feedback from them is very valuable to me.  After my article, I received two comments from Gulch members who have been involved in education for a great many years and left their impressions.  Those impressions were worth noting and have been listed below along with the links to the place in the Gulch where the original comments can be found.  They are worth reading as specific entries into the education argument and I offer them here for that purpose.  These are not people who are like me in that they just despise public education as a primary infringement on personal liberty.  These people tried to work within the system and have turned away to report their experience—something which I think is just the tip of the iceberg.  I have spoken to quite a few teachers in person, on the phone, and am friends with quite a few, and they all reflect these next two entries.  Once a few teachers see others breaking ranks and voicing their opinions, I am confident that many more will follow—and they need to.

I retired from teaching 7 years ago, after 20 years in education, for several reasons, one of which was that the Progressives had completely taken over public education. I taught American History to 11th graders. The textbook I was to teach from was ridiculously slanted left: half a chapter on the American Civil War, 1 chapter on WWI, 2 pages on the Spanish-American War, on 3 chapters on Progressivism, 3 chapters on the New Deal, 1 chapter on WWII, lots of information on LBJ, Nixon was the anti-Christ, the usual leftist views on Vietnam, etc.

I usually assigned the textbooks to the students because I was required to do so, then taught from my own notes and my own materials. Until the last few years, I had an assistant principal that did not concern himself with what I was doing and so I taught American History, not Revised American History. The last few years I taught, though, I had a new assistant principal who was a dyed-in-the-wool Progressive. The woman hounded me like a coon dog on the scent. I was reprimanded several times for not using the textbook, subjected to unannounced observations, and once suspended without pay for 2 days.

Common Core is the Progressive’s wet dream. It does not teach any higher thinking skills, no extended thought processes, no critical thinking. It turns out nice, stupid automatons who will not question TPTB. It destroys any interest in life-long learning, because learning under Common Core is so tediously not fun.

I don’t know how much this adds to the discussion, but I want to add my conviction that public education is broken … has been broken for some time. There is no quick fix; I don’t believe it can actually be fixed at all. At this time, charter schools or private schools are a parent’s best bet.

This is definitely representative of what is happening in Ohio schools (as well as across the country), and has been for 15 years or more. 15 years ago we had Maslow group therapy and group hypnosis on all classes in grade schools here, instead of academics. We had history teachers teaching kids they had “rights” with no mention of responsibilities. We have ongoing values clarification in required health classes. It leaves one asking, “Where’s the academics!”

These teachers are brainwashed, either by the colleges where they get their free Masters degrees or by their unions. Our local union leaders once admitted to me they were turning children against their parents, because THEY thought it was best for them. Kids are taught, “There is no I in team.” – at which point I gave our daughter “Anthem” to read. khalling just talked to the father of a 7 year old the other day, who said he could not understand why his daughter suddenly acted to disrespectful to her family – I filled him in..Teachers and even administrators are all in for this collectivist agenda. I thank Tom DeWeese (Ohio guy) of American Policy Center for letting me know 15 years ago.we were facing a nationwide agenda. Actually it is UN driven at this point. Kids will be taught to embrace UN Agenda 21, and already learn property rights must go.

Yeah, I too started out the 60s as an anti-Vietnam liberal, while my grounded brother told me another Civil War was in our future. He read history more than I did, but being curious, I started reading history. Mao did it for me, I began to see the agenda around me, I began to learn that McCarthy was right, there were commies in the government and other professions, trying to turn the US. I should have known, living in North Dakota in the early 60s, my Dad moved us to Texas, after he felt overwhelmed by the scope of an active CPUSA up there at the time. I hated Johnson, still do, and that also helped wake me up.

Believe me, what you see on the excellent post by overmanwarrior is not just Ohio, it is coming for your kids as well, and Common Core is their hammer.
