Confronting Evil in Washington D.C.: Establishing a proper psychiatric diagnosis for the “swamp”

I think the great psychiatrist M. Scott Peck M.D. had a good point in his fantastic book about human evil titled People of The Lie when he thought that evil should become a proper scientific diagnosis for people emitting thinking disorders.  Evil people just don’t think properly about things and there are a lot of people out there who should be titled as such.  Many more than there should be.  And I think that what we have seen in Washington D.C. for a long time could best be collectively summarized as an evil embodiment of human degradation.   The cause of that degradation was summarized quite brilliantly in that mentioned book.  The evidence of its merit can clearly be seen in how various evil groups have challenged President Trump in the opening days of his new administration and as far as I’m concerned this is the biggest topic on the market and why I cover it almost daily.  What we are seeing in America is evil being exposed like a demon from a possessed host and that evil is screaming in fear from the top of their voice.

The tendency to view rich people as evil is what has allowed this terrible evil to foster so undisclosed. To the anti-capitalists for which this evil use as hosts Donald Trump is the definition of the word because he is diametrically opposed to their ominous objectives.  After all, the Devil rejected God in every way and is not shy about his hatred mythologically of the Supreme Being.  Donald Trump in our terrestrial sphere is good because he is the embodiment of capitalism and a love for it.  We’re not talking about moral precedence as viewed through Biblical doctrine, but the honesty of ego based ID which drives individuality and the competition that drives all life forward into the best emerging for society to enjoy.  We would term this good in America because it means the best products, the best people in their field, and the best ideas emerge for the necessity of value driven profit as opposed to the evil intentions of the moocher who desires to live off the exploits of others so that they can live in stardom as second-handers robbing merit along the way.

With that little qualification of evil out of the way we can then proceed to identify with clarity that evil is fully at work and that we must destroy it without any compassion. We’re not just talking about draining the swamp here in a political sense, we are talking about eliminating evil from the political process and restoring to the United States a sense of decency indicative toward the morality of capitalism.   Under such a morality people hold the door open for each other because you never know when you might have to work with them somewhere—because competition forces you to always consider the ramifications for your actions—whereas in a statist society there are never consequences because actions are committed under a collectivist cloud and nobody is responsible for anything.   It is that tendency which propels evil to emerge—under collectivists clouds where responsibility is often shunned without competition present to keep everyone honest.

Washington D.C. is a long way away from what the Founding Fathers embodied as people who were attempting a thought experiment which challenged aristocracy and even the concept of slavery to allow a nation of free people to emerge with all the difficulties that 18th century thought prevented.  The evil of our day would want you dear reader to focus on the evils of slavery and not the means of eliminating it.  Slavery was very much a part of the aristocracy movement of the time—but these Founding Fathers of America during their lifetimes stepped beyond that status symbol to eventually see people as individuals—even slaves.  So looking at Washington D.C. in that light, and the man from whom the place was named—it should be a very special place.  However, the evil that has dominated there for so long wishes to cloud the facts and to chain people’s minds to guilt, fear, and loathing so to elude a thinking mind from the miracle for which America is.

As a president, Donald Trump is the embodiment of the American miracle. True he has had too many wives, he’s had business ups and downs, and he’s certainly had his share of mistakes.  But what is morally righteous about him is that like all great Americans, he never caved to pain or pressure and always emerged better than when he was knocked down.  You can look back on his long-storied career of deal making and see a person who never cried over silly things or used personal tragedies as an excuse for not making the most out of every day.  Trump lost both his parents yet he never had a day where he loaded up on anti-depressants, or had stints where he was crawling around drunk and inebriated on a sidewalk into a taxi. Trump has always attempted to excel in everything he did and there is a lot of purity in that high standard.  The expectation has a great morality about it as opposed to the slack-jawed loser who uses everything as an excuse, takes no responsibility for their bad condition in life and seeks to tear down other people because achievements make the evil person look bad for their lack of them.

What I see in the criticism of Donald Trump by virtually everyone in the media are evil people shaken to their very cores by the sudden expectation of performance establishing itself as the very definition of good and evil in a way that was always intended in our American system. Our politicians should have always been such people—accomplished capitalists who have achieved the most among us through the honesty of competition—so that our society could accelerate toward unknown optimism for the first time in all human history.  This anger at Donald Trump from the entire Washington establishment is more than just political theater, it is the entity of evil which has captured so many minds, and its illustrious desire to remain in power which is now being challenged by this current White House.

This is precisely why those most wrapped in the blankets of evil wish to have no judgment cast upon them. That’s also why M. Scott Peck’s books used to be on the New York Times bestseller’s list for entire decades in the 80s but you can’t hardly find them in a bookstore at this present time—because evil wishes to do its ignominiously corrosive work undetected—in the shadows.  As an example, James Comey as F.B.I director was evil.  He obviously picked and chose laws differently depending on different people of political power and used his office as a way of sustaining party manipulation while hiding everything behind a Boy Scout like honest appearance.  But his actions deceive his intentions.  When he gave a speech not long ago declaring that he would remain F.B.I director for a long time he was challenging Trump with political pressure not based on merit for a job well done—but for the optics of his various investigations and how it might look to a media inspired by the same kind of evil to become his weapons in case of backlash.  When that backlash came Comey’s evil surrogates did what was always expected and they came at Trump and all his supporters with the fury of an exorcised demon.  The right fight was to do what Trump did and that was face down the evil onslaught because the purity of goodness wasn’t in the discussion, but in the fact that evil was upended and was angry for the first time in ways most of us have only dreamed of.

Evil is a very real thing. It is in people you know.  It is in institutions.  It is lucrative in every way that weak people find enchanting.  I’d go so far to say that most people have evil in their lives in various degrees and they are unaware of it—until they wake up one day and wonder where their lives have gone and why they are so miserable.  Evil as M. Scott Peck advocated for should be designated as a psychiatric disorder because it is.  It is the result of a depleted state of thinking and indicative of poor mental health.  Mental health just like other forms of health can be lost if it is abused.  Collectivist thinking is terrible for mental health the way that cigarettes, booze and too much soda pop can be for physical health.  If you think wrong about things you can destroy your mental health and evil will govern your actions.  And until Donald Trump came along in Washington D.C. most of the culture there was functioning from evil and were content with it.  But now a new value system is being established and evil is upset about it.  For that we should all be happy—those of us who strive to do what’s right—even when it’s the hardest thing to do in the world.  We should always do what’s good, and hard—because it’s what’s right.  Then as just an extra bonus is that is pisses off evil to its very core—which is always a good thing.

The Washington Post Declares War Against America: Being the “Last Man Standing”

I knew we were going to arrive at this “pivot point” for several years now. It just wasn’t clear how we’d get here.  But even so, the results are astonishing–so far down the rabbit hole of liberal control America has been on as a country. Probably the most obvious shot across the stern of conservativism has been the removal of two major prime time shows for which perceived Trump supporters might enjoy, The O’Reilly Factor and the ABC comedy, Last Man Standing.  The obvious move by the heads of both networks was to unplug the Trump base from nurturing information in the form of entertainment for the exclusive objective of converting them to liberals—which isn’t going to happen.  I have until very recently never seen Last Man Standing but now that it’s been cancelled I’ve caught clips of it and was astonished that it was even on a Disney owned network.  However, the behavior of The New York Post and The New York Times regarding President Trump has been over the top.  Each day of this past week, since the firing of James Comey and the passage of the Obamacare repeal in the House has emerged stories from those two papers designed to tie up the cogs of government preventing Donald Trump from achieving anything more—and I thought it astonishing—even for these liberal radicals.  Because each of their stories involved really nothing of any substance, yet the wall to wall coverage didn’t fit the accusations.  Then there is this constant talk of impeachment.  Really?  After what we’ve become used to under the Obama White House these idiots in the liberal media actually think that type of thing will take root? If the media wants to talk about impeachment then they should look at their lack of action on the items discussed at this link then understand why nothing under Trump is going anywhere.  He hasn’t even been in office long enough to merit such discussion—yet this media thinks it can pick and choose law to support their political agenda and that makes them not just a nuisance, but dangerous.

If liberals think that by removing Tim Allen and Bill O’Reilly from television is going to defang the conservative movement, they are grossly misinformed—and I suppose that is what is most shocking to me. I mean, listening to their very small issues for which The Washington Post is making so much rhetorical comment when they were completely silent in regards to actual known crimes committed by Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, the motivations behind their actions are obvious.  They are in insurgent mode seeking to destroy and reshape The United States into some third-rate country and they expect to do it in full view of people like me—and that’s just not going to happen.

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the constant reports from that same media about the possibility of North Korea shutting down the American power grid for months or years with cyber-attacks—which I don’t think is possible, but you never know. If such a thing would happen who would survive in America, the Berkley kids protesting everything in favor of communism or the rugged American individualists that Tim Allen played on television—the demographic type for which the show reached out to?  Within a week of a major power outage food will become a problem and people will start killing each other over it, so what would happen to that leftist utopian society under those conditions?  Obviously, it would fail quickly and all these stylish moves made by our technological society would revert back to primate behavior nearly over night. All the female CEOs of media companies would soon find themselves having to reprioritize their entire existence where food acquisition would become their number one concern—not whether or not ABCs lineup involved immigrant sit-coms as opposed to white men over 40 who cling to traditional American values.  All the tenets of progressive society where women have replaced men and those women have babies then turn them over to the state for their upbringing and education would fly out the window in less than a month.  The people who would survive most would be the gun carrying farmers of the Midwest.  Cities would fall to depravity and cesspools of murder quickly.

A society cannot credit itself as being successful or advanced if one little thing such as power loss could throw it into an unstable condition so fast. Yet the people fighting to erase the Trump Presidency want and expect to do exactly that—even down to attacking the entertainment options that such people enjoy.  That dear reader is a declaration of war and I take it that way.  What I’ve seen from our mainstream media is nothing less than a complete government take-over.  The Deep State was always much deeper than anybody thought and they are making themselves seen really for the first time.  I wanted this to happen and it was always my intention that the Trump presidency would expose these villains, but the depth of their activity has truly been shocking, which was revealed in all its glory over this past week.

So here is a little message to the people who run The New York Times, The Washington Post, CNN, NBC, ABC—all these leftist’s organizations—your media groups did not invent “conservatism.”  Even the great westerns which Hollywood produced in its finest years did not make American society conservative.  The people of this country were already that way by nature of the Constitution for which we function.  The media outlets of entertainment and news back then simply provided the kind of content that those types of people wanted.  What is happening now is that those same outlets believe that they are the creators, which is a mistake.  “We”—the Tea Party types, the NRA members, the farmers, the steel workers, the coal miners, the cowboys and the monster truck drivers—we put Trump in office as a last chance to fix the country from the lefty insurrection.  By taking away conservative news, television shows, books and movies, you think that this utopian folly of liberalism is going to take root–you have a hard lesson coming to you.  Conservativism is a philosophy derived from the essential ingredients of society whereas liberalism is a utopian theory untested against reality.  It exists in places like college campuses and big cities like New York where reality is often pushed away from people’s minds—but it doesn’t hold up to feeding the basics of foundation societal thinking.  Liberalism is one power outage away from being extinct from all human thinking and that is the hard truth.  Yet people like me—and there are millions who think the way I do—are not going to let things get to that point.  Trump was our preferred answer, but we can take it to violence if that’s what leftists want.  I can say this, I’m not going to put up with liberalism any more.

For years conservatives have looked the other way and been very inclusive in regard to people who think differently than they do. Even when we knew that there were crimes committed by Hillary Clinton we were angry, but we didn’t try to shut down reality the way these Washington Post writers are doing.  They expect to sell themselves as respectable journalists while everyone can see that they are just conducting hack jobs.  You’d have to be a complete idiot to think otherwise.  Liberals may in fact be that stupid, but I certainly am not and neither are many of the conservatives I know.  Conservative ideas are forged from the fires of reality—not theory.  It’s one thing to be compassionate toward other people’s opinions—even if they are stupid opinions.  But it’s quite another to yield to evil and turn away from the truth feeding villains to destroy our society.  I’m not going to stand for that—and it doesn’t matter if Bill O’Reilly or Tim Allen are on TV to tell me so—if the Trump experiment doesn’t work—the next step is violence and the liberals won’t like that.  They won’t last in that fight.  Before Trump was elected I was very close to organizing my own group to restore America back to greatness any way possible—and likely the 2nd Amendment would have been needed.  Yielding to liberals is simply not on the table.

Then there’s Trump, I know enough about him to know this—in this current fight in Washington D.C., he will be the Last Man Standing, which is likely the real fear that liberals have in regard to the white wealthy males they seek to destroy in order to change America into their progressive utopia.  Execs at ABC blame themselves for creating Trump, and the voters who elected him with shows like the Tim Allen comedy, but they give themselves too much assumption of power.  They don’t make us, we make them.  We decide if a media company is successful or fails.  It used to be they didn’t always come out and say to half the nation that they hated them.  They wanted people to watch their networks and read their newspapers so they kept politics as light as possible.  But now, now they’ve went and done it.  They’ve declared their hatred for us, they’ve not treated our guy in the White House with the respect that we at least showed their people over the many years, and now the gloves are off.  And it’s an insult to those of us who really are tough, and forged from reality to be cast into a stew with these liberal idiots and have them expect that they should rule over us in any way.  Even if they could manage somehow to impeach Donald Trump—what do they think would happen?  That we wouldn’t take revenge for their assault?  No, I figure they are lucky that they have Donald Trump—because he protects them from us.  We have hope that Trump can fix things in the D.C. culture.  If he can’t, then we’ll have to do it ourselves, and liberals certainly won’t like that.

How Trump is the New Normal: The media can’t really make or break people

I heard something truly fascinating the other day from the liberal political left when they said that they were afraid of interviews like the one done with Lester Holt, because it might “normalize” the Trump presidency—as if they had some hope of stopping that now. I mean the guy is President of the United States.  From the Executive Office he is setting up the kind of culture that we will have in the United States likely for the next several decades.  I mean being a bunch of loser lefties, I can understand that they don’t like him as president, but hey, I’ve had to put up with presidents I didn’t like for the last 24 years—so shut the hell up.  It’s our turn—“Trump supporters” to enjoy the Executive Branch for a change.  I had to watch years of embarrassments from the lefties and it’s only fair that now they have to endure what I’ve had to for once. But worrying about “normalizing” Trump—if that’s what they’re worried about, they have some big problems on the horizon because the way the Executive Branch works in America it sets the discourse for our nation from a leadership position.  What is “normal” is what Trump does—not what the lefties desire—otherwise they would be winning more elections.

It reminded me of something that happened to me once, I had been in the newspapers, on the radio, and on television all the time and my political enemies just didn’t understand how I was doing it. They lobbied the radio stations and the publishers decrying them for given me “legitimacy.”  Well, I had news for them, I am a perfectly “legitimate” person.  In many cases I was smarter, faster, had loads of more stamina, worked much harder than any of them and here they were preaching to these media types that I shouldn’t be given coverage for my political issues because in doing so they were legitimizing me.  Eventually they became frustrated and they organized a hit against me much like they did recently with Donald Trump and Bill O’Reilly, only I didn’t cave in which of course infuriated everyone.  They couldn’t understand why such a thing didn’t ruin my life—and of course I still did television, gave interviews, and did radio.  I stopped answering the phone from those who had betrayed me, but by no means did I stop getting coverage because I had discovered that I could give myself everything I needed.  I didn’t need them—which is largely why I write on this blog everyday.  It’s my own newspaper and people read it, and visitors can pull up stories that are very old and read them again—which you can’t seem to do anymore with the major newspapers.  And of course in the world of today, the ability to hold information for retrieval is the key to news exchange because so much comes at people so quickly that customers want the ability to revisit stories later.

The point of the matter was that I understood my own “legitimacy.” When I did a now famous photograph on the cover of the Cincinnati Enquirer it wasn’t they who made me into anything, it was me who they wanted on their cover to sell newspapers—and putting an anti-tax person on the cover with a cowboy hat and a bullwhip was a sure way to get people reading.  They didn’t create the story at the Enquirer, I did. But those lefties at Gannett Publications want to believe that they make or break people—that they give rise to governors, senators and presidents—but in reality, they don’t and Donald Trump is the evidence.

Anybody who wanted could go back to the business section of any bookstore and see the three to seven books that Trump has written over the years and understand that Donald Trump is the self-contained essence of “the power of positive thinking.” He is a person not at all interested in what people think of him and when he constantly highlights his consistently high ratings it’s his reminder that he is the one in control, not the media.  They didn’t make him, but he does them. So the media, and everyone else for that matter, have no ability to make or break Donald Trump because the billionaire businessman has never given that power over to anybody.  He developed power within himself and he does not give it away to anybody.  Media outlets may seek to ride in the wake of the stories he creates—but they don’t make him.  That is the important distinction that virtually everyone fails to understand when it comes to Trump or even the Republican Party.

I tried to explain all this to the Republicans who run the county I lived in, but they weren’t used to thinking in these ways and what ended up happening was a fractured, divided party—which was purely their fault. I was happy that they did invite me to many events where only VIPs were allowed to attend because of my contributions, but after the hit job on me, they put some distance between me and themselves.  Well, my life went on just fine.  All that changed was that I had a few less social engagements to turn down because I don’t have time for that stuff anyway, but as for the things I do I still do what I want to because my life was not contingent on the actions of other people.  If it was, there is something wrong—and even though 99% of everyone lives in a way that requires “people” It is not “people” who make or break something.  It is individual behavior.

In grade school probably the biggest thing we learn, which I think is an incredible negative, is how to conform to peer pressure. It is in grade school where we learn our social clicks which are supposed to guide us though life under the lefty’s Brave New World vision.  We learn how to take orders from our peers and from what peers that we are best matched—group associations.  It is there that we die to our individual selves, the little creature that was coddled by our parents and given all kids of special treatment as infants.  We are born again as collectivists who require other people’s approval in order to function.  We want peer approval of our cloths, of our musical choices, of our speech patterns—and thus we become something much less than we were before—by default.  The media happens to care very much about the same types of things because of their continuous drive for ratings, so they immediately fall into this default mode.   But they fail to understand the kid in the public school hallway who dresses the way they want, does what they want—and doesn’t give a rat’s ass if anybody wants to be their friend.  And when one of those people end up in the White House, the press are truly terrified because it runs counter to everything they understand.

So thus the great misunderstanding has occurred, the collective masses do not determine reality—individuals do, and no collective agreement can erase a fact. And the fact is, Donald Trump is President of the United States and he cannot be “de-legitimized.”  The media cannot “un-make” him.  And as far as being normalized, it was always the popular kids in school who decided what “normal” behavior was.  I have noticed over time that those “normal” people ended up in life absolute messes who are boring, and very unhappy as adults.  They are not the type of people who should be in charge of walking a dog let alone running a country.  So for a change the exceptional person is now in the White House and that’s the way we wanted it.  What the lefties are really worried about is now that he is, Trump will make the new normal “exceptional.”  Which is exactly what I expect from him—and so far he has delivered.

Donald Trump at Liberty University: The Roads Less Traveled

There was so much news that one of the greatest Donald Trump speeches yet slid by pretty much unnoticed over the weekend.  But I didn’t miss it and as I listened on the radio from my garage during a wonderful spring day in southern Ohio, I heard something special.  As Donald Trump spoke at a commencement ceremony at Liberty University to a packed 50,000 plus crowd Trump essentially told the story of “the road less traveled.” I would have thought that just the crowd size alone might melt the faces of the liberalized press—but the contents of the speech was amazing for a sitting president.  I can’t think of a similar speech from anybody anywhere.  Usually these speeches are full of empty cheer leading but what Trump talked about as a successful person himself had a lot more meaning and contained within it the keys to why his Executive Branch is so effective evoking so much criticism from those I would term losers.

It surprised me even though I suppose these kinds of speeches are common at commencement ceremonies, but this one was different in that Trump specifically spoke on the details of “The Road Less Traveled” which is another of my favorite books by M. Scott Peck M.D.  It’s quite something to have a person as successful as Trump to speak as a president of the United States.  The story of Liberty University is much like that of Donald Trump—it’s a little school guided by the evangelist Jerry Fallwell Jr., that has went from a small campus with big dreams to one that is actually about to compete at the top-level of NCAA football.  It’s a good school that is doing what colleges are supposed to have always been doing—educating.

Trump actually hit on why people fail at things in life in an honest fashion that should have done anybody listening a lot of good.  People often fail because they are afraid of peer critics who often don’t have the same courage to achieve things outside the norm.  Stamina has a lot to do with success too; very few things in life are easy.  But most kids at most colleges this spring and from the past hear a bunch of flat talk about success without ever really getting to the meat and potatoes of how it’s achieved, and Trump did those kids a tremendous favor in addressing the keys to success which none of them should ever forget.

Throughout a work week my wife often sends me texts asking me how my day is going hoping that one time I’ll tell it that everything has been OK, because it never is.  This past week we had lunch together and it was a particularly terrible day full of so much stress that my teeth hurt.  I could taste blood in the back of my throat and the calcium on my teeth felt thin as a direct reaction to enormous amounts of stress.  It had been one of those days where 99.9% of the people doing work in a similar fashion would just say to hell with it—and they’d give up.  And who could blame them except for the measures of success for which everyone mutually wishes to achieve.  I mean, nobody sets out to fail, everyone wants success in things at life—in their professions, in their personal life—spouses, kids, friends, etc.  But most people lack the basic ingredients to achieve success and it’s often a very lonely road so sharing the thrill of conquering some difficult obstacle is often something you can’t relate to others. In that way success is very personal and you either do it for the right reasons, or you don’t.

The world is full of people who don’t succeed in life—and most of those people who seek public office or jobs in entertainment—and I’d consider mainstream media part of entertainment—are the type of people who fail on their own accord.  They need someone else to give them success and as second-handers they climb a ladder and hope someone at least puts one in front of them.  These people will cheat, sleep, and manipulate others any way they can to achieve success at the expense of what the true measure of achievement demands—that life isn’t easy and that overcoming your greatest fears is really the only way to win.  And on those days where you look around and all you see is pain and misery from failure after failure to the point where you can taste the blood in your own mouth—you thrive because that’s the way you get there—and you learn to love it.

During that aforementioned lunch I quietly looked out the window thinking of my response.  We’ve almost been married for 30 years so these aren’t new discussions but every so often something remarkable gets discussed—and this issue about having a good day was one of them.  I can’t say that if I woke up in the morning where everything worked the way I intended it to, that I’d really be happy.  I love the battlefield and I love overcoming adversity.  I like beating the odds and I like being the only person in the room who thinks something is possible.  In fact, you might say I live to beat the odds—I like signing up for things that should be impossible and making them work.  I’ve been doing it all my life and it’s a consistent pattern that I embark on.  When someone says that you shouldn’t do this or that because there isn’t some metaphorical path taking you cleanly to some destination at the end—I always take that rough path because often that’s where treasures that everyone seeks usually hides.  Think about it, if you want something unique in life whether its happiness, riches, love, wisdom—why would you do things the way that people who are obviously unhappy with life do them—people who are unsuccessful—people who have to take drugs to avoid depression, or people who drink too much, eat too much, and can’t maintain relationships?  You can look at a man sitting in a park on a beautiful day on his third divorce chain-smoking cigarettes and know exactly why he’s in that condition.  If you talk to him he’ll blame the women.  But if you really peel back the onion, there are things wrong with him that cause the failures in his life—and it usually starts with the cigarettes—the reason he smokes.  I told my wife on that lunch day that I don’t think human beings should wake up wanting a good day, but that as thinking creatures we should seek to imprint our intelligence on the world against its wishes and take those days with all the twists and turns presented and straighten them out flat.  Problems were meant to be solved and you either tackle them aggressively, or you don’t.  And if you don’t tackle problems then likely you won’t have success in life unless a pile of gold just happens to fall in your lap.  But that is almost never the case.

Success is hard and it’s not something a peer can give you.  It’s just something you have to be willing to take with a fearlessness uncommon to our species.  That is after all why Trump is president and most people hate him. They hate him for what they aren’t.  They can cuss and spit at him talking about how unconventional he is, and how he does his own thing—but what they hate most about Trump is that he does have the fearlessness, the stamina, and the courage to strive for success in everything he does.  And that makes him different from them—and they hate the contrast because it makes them feel guilty.  So Trump’s Liberty University speech was certainly one of the greats for the history books.  It may have only spoken to the 1% out there who strive to think the way he does, and Liberty University seems committed to finding those types of people in the world—so the speech was appropriate.  But for many, the speech spoke at a key to life that many of them gave up on a long time ago and for them it was difficult to listen to.  When something sucks in your life and you are in midlife and miserable the answer is really easy—and you can see it clearly every morning when you look in the mirror.  That reality can be very painful, but such a person, which is in the majority of our so-called “democracy,” should not cripple intellectually the next generation.  That is why Trump gave not only a wonderful speech, but one that actually had true meaning.  What he did was a gift to the students of Liberty University—and to all those with the courage to hear it.  The key to success in life with all the pains and perils is, “The Road Less Traveled.”

Bill Maher and Stephen Colbert Can’t Make it in the Real World: Understanding the nature of American culture and Donald Trump

This tendency of media personalities to think that by ankle biting at a president that they are protected behind some invisible barrier of orthodox is truly baffling. I didn’t think that when Obama called out people who got on his nerves like Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity in the past that it was wrong, and I certainly don’t think it’s wrong for Trump to call out losers like Stephen Colbert.  What makes Trump unique is that he is a president that does not desire to function behind some veil of formality.  To him the presidency is just a job—it doesn’t make him as a person.  Yet many like Colbert and his audience and the type of people who voted for Barack Obama in the past, want the presidency to be royalty in America and that’s just not the way we intended the position to be.  I like the idea of a Thomas Jefferson who would answer the front door to the White House in his bath robe personally, or a Teddy Roosevelt who would swim nude in the Potomac.  I’m not at all enchanted by the luxury of the White House so I don’t see that the presidency is above the ankle biters out there like Stephen Colbert who nightly rip on the new administration hoping to return American back toward the direction of progressivism.   I like a president who is willing to fight anybody at any time under any circumstances—so I love that Trump takes on losers like Colbert the way he does.

Few people really know it, but some of these late-night comedians who are most against Trump, such as Bill Maher and Jon Stewart, are little guys. TV makes them look bigger but in real life walking around the great American Midwest these guys would easily get their asses kicked by average sized pick-up truck driving, tobacco chewers who make up most of the green space between America’s cities—and it scares them. Bill Maher knows that he can’t walk into a Waffle House at 4 AM in Tennessee and run his mouth without becoming a hood ornament.  I mean the guy is only like 5’8” and Jon Stewart is even shorter than that.  So these guys are truly afraid of those bulky white males who still dominate American politics.  They have kiss assed their way onto television and now take pot shots at the American way of life for laughs from behind the protection of celebrity—and many of us are sick of it.  They are partly why someone like Trump was elected—because we—the people who have lived in and made America what it has been—which we like—we are tired of these puny little punks, communists, lunatic feminists and many others of having a foothold under the banner of “fairness” only to have them ankle bite at us and not expect to be punched back.

We get tired of being called “white trash” or “rich white males of privilege” and all that crazy European talk about class structure which has been specific to life in the aristocratic age. That is not the way of life in America.  In this country, we like a guy who was born in Queens who gambled big with some loan his father gave him and worked hard as hell to become a billionaire—and along the way took no shit from anybody and is even in the WWE Hall of Fame—as well as eventually becoming president.  We like a guy or girl who can be born anywhere with any family name and become rich if they are willing to work hard enough.  We know that not everyone makes it but we like having that dream of opportunity to aspire to each day.  That is what America is and what people like that shrimp Bill Maher fail to understand.  Stephen Colbert—a satire guy from Comedy Central who made his living making fun of Bill O’Reilly isn’t what people who eat at Lee’s Chicken in Trenton, Ohio aspire to become.  But Trump is.  So we love it when someone we like slams some puny punk like Colbert on television.  Trump is right, it helps his base tremendously. What Colbert and Maher are doing is just mean-spirited propaganda which is very unlike what the conservative critics of Obama were doing.

Sean Hannity has put the screws to liberals for years and before him it was Rush Limbaugh both of which have been viciously attacked over just because they offer an intellectual argument against liberalism. Barack Obama naturally didn’t like it and as president he abused his power on many occasions to put an end to them if he could.  Obama actually used the White House to try and crush them through regulation, media pressure, and advertiser boycotts—not directly of course, but indirectly—through other people, donors, and media types.  And even if you are one of the stupid people who did vote for Obama, anybody with half a brain would have to admit the guy was very shady.  Scandal followed him everywhere and that wasn’t the fault of Republicans who were always there to point it out.  The scandals were so intense that he essentially destroyed the Democratic Party because congressman lost their seats, senators were voted out of office and Republicans replaced Democrats as governors all over the country.  And of course there was the 2016 election where Republicans retook the White House.  Trump ran a good campaign, but it was essentially that Democrats who had nobody competitive to put up as a sequel to Obama who lost the election, and they knew it.   Out of all the talent they supposedly had on the liberal side of the ball from George Clooney the actor to Warren Buffett, they only managed to put up a beat up old woman in Hillary Clinton chained to countless crimes and they lost the election because of that decision.  Their failure was complete with the rise of Trump.

They continue to lose because they got caught trying to take America away from the population that built it. There is nothing wrong with having an inclusive culture where people of all different nationalities and sexes can succeed together, but Democrats are out to destroy “white males” and that is something many take very personally.  I know I do.  When these various liberal groups come out openly for my destruction—yeah, I get a little angry about it.  So when Trump pushes back on my behalf, he certainly wins my support.  If people like Colbert and Maher had kept their mouths shut, it might not have been so bad.  But they pressed and pressed and pressed until people had enough, and Trump was the result—and they better get used to it.

The next step of course is that if we don’t have Trump as a recourse, then things might have to get nasty. They can only stand on the stage for so long hidden behind television security before people start giving it back to them worse than they have.  I think in many ways they should be thankful that they live in a nation where we have elections instead of armed insurrections because little midgets like those guys wouldn’t last long.  It’s easy to talk tough on a stage in front of a friendly audience in New York and L.A.  But it’s quite another to sit next to truck drivers, strippers, and hard luck old farmers at Waffle House at 4 AM and tell them you have big plans for their lives that were formulated by the United Nations two decades ago.  Because those people will beat the shit out of you and feed you to the dog.  That is the real America and I love it!

What Draining the Swamp Looks Like: How stupid people created it to begin with

Speaking from experience—a lot of experience—the reality of why former FBI director James Comey was even playing with the idea of investigating a mythical Russian—U.S. Presidential election tampering story in 2016 was simply to keep his job. Everyone knows that the Russians were not in a position to have any impact on the election process which put Donald Trump in the White House leaving Democrats to make up some story that might trick financial contributions to continue to come in to their party—because after all, nobody is going to give money to a bunch of idiots which the Democrats certainly are.  And James Comey making many mistakes in the investigation of Hillary Clinton’s email problems needed to find some way to stay in power during a political shift in the White House, so he went along with this made up Russian story as a way to box in President Trump from firing him.  In government where they never fire anybody for anything they don’t think normal people can see through these schemes.  But in the private sector, we see it all the time and the best of us are trained to root it out.  I just happen to be one of those people.  James Comey was using the Democratic cover story to attempt to keep his job because he figured Trump would never make the move for fear of the optics.  Unfortunately for Comey, Trump is also one of those guys, and he rooted out the hypocrisy and fired the director of the FBI anyway—as he should have all along.

When James Comey asked for “resources” to investigate the Russian story among senators last week, he was planting the seeds deeper to prevent Trump from firing him because he saw the writing on the wall. Guilty people do this kind of thing all the time so it shouldn’t come as a shock to anyone.  What’s different is that Trump rooted it out in a way that people just aren’t used to in Washington D.C.  Democrats needed a straw man in Comey to blame and ride to support their Russian story, which Comey was happy to give them to keep his job.  After all Comey thought that Trump would never dare to fire a person who might be investigating him—how would that look?  Just for thinking in that way Comey deserved to be fired, and Trump did the right thing—just as any good private sector manager of any kind would have done.  When Trump fired Comey he took all that away from the Democrats and they are not happy about it.

This is what it sounds like to drain the swamp which James Comey was clearly one of the plugs holding back the metaphorical water. The swamp level in that K-Street culture allowed for many crazy creatures to remain hidden behind the mess, but with the water drained, there is no place for them to hide which is why they are suddenly all angry—including the liberalized mainstream media that is also part of the drain holding back all the water.  But taking away the Comey blame game, the media has no place to build a story with to even support their “Russian” hacking dialog designed to carry away people’s minds from the facts at hand.  The Democrats engaged in actual illegal activity, which was supported by the former president of the United State, Barack Obama.  Many people should have gone to jail—even in the media—and Comey was their cover story.  Now that has been ripped away and they are all naturally terrified.  That’s why we voted for Trump.

I worked on the Trump campaign and I actually had a chance to meet him a few times during the primary run. I’m an excellent judge of character and can say with quite emphatically that Trump is a good person.  I’m not one to drool over celebrity or power—but I can tell a lot about people by shaking their hand and looking them in the eye, and Trump ran for president for all the right reasons.  Compared to me, Trump is not a conservative, but as a businessman, he understands better than most the basic functions of a capitalist society and that makes him alone qualified to be president of the United States.  He had the age and financial means to make that run—and the energy so he had my vote early in the game and so far he hasn’t disappointed me in the least.  Trump is doing a great job—and at the levels I would have expected from him.  And in working with the campaign and knowing the people who were involved on the ground level I can say that the Russians had nothing to do with any of Trump’s success.  It was the hard work of the people in the trenches who worked extremely hard on his behalf in the states critical to his win in the electoral college.  There was a lot of passion for him, but very little for Hillary Clinton.  After all, she was a criminal.

The big secret behind why most people seek power and influence is that they have in their minds a deep psychosis lacking self-control and they desire to alleviate that shame by ruling over others. Most of the people involved in this Comey story are those types of people, from the politicians to the media reporting these events—to the law enforcement personnel involved. In the private sector as opposed to public those most successful in the managing of people are those who understand that making products and money is more important than having the ability to mess with people’s lives as some sort of supervisor.  People bad at being a boss usually fail to fight off the temptations to use the fear of one’s job to steer employees in a desired direction.  For such people the role of “boss” then becomes a testament in validating power that is missing from their strategic life and greatly affects every aspect of their lives.  You can see them in every industry but especially in politics where chicken shit people tend to be attracted to the power they can acquire over others on a tax payer funded expedition through the halls of nameplates.   Without any merit at all by only through popularity they gain the ability by the masses to rule over others which for such insecure people is the ultimate “high.”

Trump’s entire success through the years has been the opposite of that type of insecure politician. Trump’s Apprentice show on NBC was all about success through merit instead of popularity and this is something completely foreign to James Comey who climbed the ladder at the FBI doing all the right things and saying precisely the type of chatter insecure no-nothing politicians like to hear to justify what they think is action.  The media industry and Washington D.C. politics in general is full of bad boss types, people who let co-workers sleep their way into power, or will bend over on ethical guidelines to acquire more leverage to obtain more power—and that is what makes up this swamp which needs to be drained.  What Trump is bringing to Washington is the type of leadership he possessed in the private sector for which he was so good at it that he became a television celebrity.  But none of the other people involved from Comey, the senators and the media have any merit in their lives that allow them to provide natural leadership in what they do.  They are addicted to power and know of no other definitions for which to live.

So Comey played the game the way he thought would keep his nice government job intact—but he made the wrong moves when it came to Trump. Trump saw through it where others didn’t and the FBI director lost his job because he screwed up. Comey did a bad job and he tried to hold on to power the way people who earn their jobs without merit all do—through passive-aggressive extortion.  Comey hoped that by announcing he was investigating the Russian story which would appease the weak-kneed senators and media power climbers with language they understood that Trump would never dare risk the optics of firing him. But he was wrong.  Trump did what Trump has done for years, he acted based on merit and Comey didn’t fit the profile of a Trump type of employee.  Comey gave immunity when he didn’t need to in regard of the Clinton case, he destroyed evidence (lap tops, etc) and he tried to play both sides against the middle during an election year essentially to save his job with dirty laundry he hoped to hang over anybody’s head who won the presidency.  So for all that and more, we was fired by a guy who made his living best by firing people over a forty year career in one of the hardest industries there is to be successful at.  And Comey and the Democrats outraged by all this can only blame themselves.

James Comey, “You’re Fired”: The Democrats are out of bullets

I said it before and I’ll say it again about James Comey the now former director of the FBI, I think he got caught up in the politics of a presidential election and blew it. He knew he had a president who wanted him to view the law with different lenses depending on who was involved and he had an attorney general who was personal friends with the Democratic nominee for the presidency during an election year and he was expected to cover up anything related to impropriety regarding her.  But, he also had a bunch of law enforcement people working under him who expected rule of law to be applied so under the pressure of all these elements he stepped out of his normal role and had all these press conferences which were unprecedented and had very loose lips in public which ultimately led to his firing.  Part of me feels sorry for him, but his first act which led directly to this firing was when he blew the Clinton case just after the Fourth of July of 2016 by not prosecuting her.  If he really wanted to protect the rule of law, he should have recommended charges against Clinton and let Loretta Lynch be the one to play politics.  At least at that point, he could have legitimately said he did everything he could.

If you really want to see what liars the Democrats are watch Chuck Schumer’s comments about the Comey firing—because it shows the gross hypocrisy of their political party. Democrats wanted to blame Comey for Hillary Clinton losing the election even though they failed to admit to themselves that it was she and her unruly behavior which put their whole party in jeopardy during her presidential run.  But Democrats needed a cover story for why they were so bad and they wanted this Russian story to somehow stick to Trump hoping to slow down his presidency with conspiracy—attempting to link him to the failed Nixon administration by behavior—and it just doesn’t fly.  Trump is far smarter than Nixon and he doesn’t need to break the law to get elected into office.  Trump certainly didn’t need the Russians.  When Trump fired Comey it put the Democrats out front speaking both ways about it which really made them look stupid—as a party.  Even though the original failure was at their pick for president—they couldn’t take responsibility for it and have been using a mythical Russian hacking story to attempt to explain away all their other failures.

Hillary Clinton lost because she sucked as a person and even worse as a political candidate. All the celebrities in the world couldn’t help her because she was a terrible person that was fundamentally unlikable.  Even with the media eating out of her hand she couldn’t pull it off and that’s why the Democrats have to believe there was some kind of Russian tampering—but in reality the answer was staring at them in the face.  Everything they believe that worked in elections proved to be false and Trump exposed it for all future campaigns to take note of.  They can’t adapt to it because they have over 100 years of static behavior which prevents them from change fast enough to be relevant again.  That means that they will lose more seats in 2018 and even more in 2020—so all they have is the hope that people will believe this Russian story and that Comey was fired because he was investigating it.

Comey was fired because he did a bad job at the highest level and that’s what’s supposed to happen. I know it’s a new concept to Washington D.C. to see anybody fired over anything—but this is what should happen when an employee of any kind does a bad job.  After watching the Obama administration use the Black Panthers to utilize voter intimidation, then lie to cover up the Fast and Furious scandal through “executive privilege,” push through nominees during congressional recess, lie about the Benghazi terrorist attack, and then use of the IRS to target conservative groups—along with countless other small abuses of government over the last eight years—we’ve seen it all and Democrats were to blame.  That is why they lost power and Trump’s Republicans now have it.  And after all that, nobody believes that the Russians hacked the election due to a deal with Trump to acquire power.  That just didn’t happen.  Even if it did, James Comey wouldn’t be the one to conduct the investigation.  In a city that rewarded bad behavior, most epically with the testimony of Lois Lerner and how the IRS abused its power when she took the fifth in front of congress, Washington D.C. isn’t used to seeing justice enacted.  However, under this new day under the Trump administration, they better get used to it.  What did they expect from a guy who gained celebrity status on television by saying, “you’re fired.”  That’s one of the reasons we voted for Trump—was to clean out people like Comey who were obviously wrong for the job so to restore to working order the institutions of our government into the condition they were intended.

James Comey personified what was wrong with Washington D.C, on the surface he appeared to be very competent and helpful—almost Boy Scout like, but in his actions he proved to be a political activist who processed the law not with blindfolds, but with eyes wide open as to how it might play out in political theater, and over time he developed quite a love for the cameras and he used his position to step around the process and get in front of them often. Trump was right about Comey, he was the best thing that could have happened to Hillary Clinton because if he had done his job in the first place—way back in July of 2016, Hillary would have been arrested before the DNC convention and a new candidate could have been nominated by the Democrats who could have then ran against Trump.  Because he didn’t the situation lingered into the election which of course it did hurt Hillary Clinton.  But she was a flawed candidate from the start and the Democrats were so weak that they invested in a flawed person anyway—knowing the risks.  Now that they’ve all been caught they’ve created a phony story about Russians and scandals—none of which hold any water, hoping to stay in the game just a little longer.  But their time has passed.

Liberalism is dying around the world and a new fashion of thought is emerging that is much more traditional. The evidence is everywhere, from millennial women seeking to date as a demographic, older men double their age—because of the maturity problem with younger men—to the financial collapse of virtually every city in the world that has adopted Agenda 21 strategies.  Now that all the costs are due and the intentions of the implementation absolute failures, liberalism is being blamed and that is the biggest problem the Democratic Party has in America.  It’s not James Comey’s fault.  James Comey just did a bad job by putting his priorities in the wrong place and got caught playing the game of politics when he should have been blind to it.  The first time I noticed it was when the FBI was investigating San Bernardino’s radical Islamic terrorist situation where he was slow to call it a terrorist act—out of a direct favor to President Obama.  Comey was fired for weakening the FBI—and that’s all there is to it.  We should just be happy that finally there is a president in Washington D.C. who can make a clear decision on such matters.  Because that will go a long way to solving the real problems.

House Bill 330 in North Carolina: Thankfully now protestors can be hit with your car

House Bill 330 in North Carolina approved by their house 67-48 is the proper response to what happened in Charlotte in 2016 where protesters blocked traffic across their highways regarding a civil matter.  The bill protects motorists who hit protesters with their cars so long as the drivers “exercise due care,” which seems reasonable enough.  It is the proper response toward disarming the radical notions that collectivist groups have in pulling innocent people into their black holes of insurrection through mass effort and it’s good that North Carolina is taking the side of the individual in this matter—as they should. Nobody should be allowed to even contemplate that by throwing their bodies into a roadway that they can stop the economic engine of a nation because the nature of these corrosive protests is at their very core—anti-American.  Under that statement for instance my time is worth more than the collective concerns of a mob—and that is the clear distinction protected by this North Carolina House Bill 330.

Protests are not the foundations of “our democracy.” Of course opponents to this bill will say so much because they fail to understand the root of the problem.  First of all, America is a republic, not a “democracy” so by protesting, what these types of people are hoping to do is tip the scales of justice toward the “squeaky wheel.”  That is essentially unfair under the terms of a republic because the essential ingredient that is abused is “time.”  Socialist protesters tend to have more time on their hands than a productive individual who is working hard, taking care of their families and is managing each hour of their day week after week as a good lawful citizen.  These protesters tend to be communist sympathizers, dope smokers, and social anarchists who thrive in life by wasting time.  They are often jobless, or work in occupations where nobody misses them making them disposable in regard to productivity and by coming together in mass—they hope to increase their value over the good and productive members of our republic with terrifying force—and that’s just wrong.

Time is what we are protecting here. I can’t think of anything more valuable—and our automobiles are our representatives to our time.   If I want to get from my home in Charlotte to the downtown region to buy tickets to an upcoming concert, that action has more value than the protesters who might seek to block the highway over a civil matter because in the protesters case, they are electing to waste their time with a collective show of force whereas the individual seeking tickets is perpetuating our economy and culture through individual decisions rooted in wealth building exercises for which entire industries are created. In that regard, the driver of a car on a lonely highway has much more value than a mass heap of socialist losers standing in a highway to stop traffic and leverage the law in their favor through force—or the threat of it.  Such people cannot be allowed to “stop our economy.”  Civil recourse is for the courts, not a protester on our nation’s highways.

So when one finds themselves caught in a situation where a line of anti-American protesters are blocking your car, and hitting it with their hands causing damage to your private property you should have the right and ability to escape that situation because your time is more valuable than that of the protesters, and if they get run over in the process—that is their misfortune, not yours. Your time and property have a value greater than that of the protester because such acts of aggression is a threat to the fundamental necessity of time management under a capitalist society and an abuse of power by attempting to tip the scales of justice toward mob rule through threats of violence for which the individual has no protected legal recourse.

A lack of protections from individuals with either guns or cars is the reason that these communist insurgents in many municipalities across the nation are able to conduct such vile road closures even in this modern age. No human being in possession of a one ton vehicle should have to yield to a bunch of anti-capitalists threatening to damage their property or alter their time management, because personal time is every bit as important as private property.  As productive citizens, our time is more important than the collective needs of the worthless.   Even if that time is to meet somebody across town for a tryst with another human being for the intention of sheer pleasure, it is more important than the efforts of the many in tipping the scales of justice with the threat of force.  The time of a productive person is more valuable than the wasted time of the unproductive—the loser who has nowhere to go but sip coffee at Starbucks and bitch about the capitalist nature of America.

It has been proven time and again that behind most of the protestor groups across America is the communist party either in heavy degrees or lighter degrees of campus socialism. We’re not talking about American loving citizens of excellent value—we’re talking about losers. Losers defined by their dependence on government programs, on their contributions toward economic expansion, and their decisions to waste the time that God gave them on meaningless social anarchy as if they were equal to those who work hard and squeeze all they can out of life from moment to moment—from reading a book with their kids to ensuring that their spouses are “satisfied” in marital activity.  The ability to conduct a good modern life productively requires individuals to use a car effectively—and not to be stopped needlessly in their efforts.  That is why this house bill in North Carolina is such a big deal.  It legally protects the drivers of those cars from the legal overreach of the mobs who have lately sought to block roads to acquire social benefits outside the scope of the law.

How we handle and define ourselves in times of turbulence will decide whether or not we thrive as a society or prosper. To prosper we need to protect the rights of individuals to excel in life and understand that it is the few that do most of the heavy lifting in farthing society.  In the same way that a single sperm penetrates the egg of a woman for life to begin a single individual may unlock the next great invention of human evolution.  The masses do not do such things naturally, and our society is reflected on the basis of our own human life cycles—so our laws must also reflect these basic understandings.  We must protect the time of individuals because its valuable over the wasted time of collectivists who hide their fears and insecurities behind the masses.  Thankfully, the North Carolina legislature understands these basic concepts, and they have acted accordingly.  Bravo.

Mystic Timber at Kings Island: A cross between Indiana Jones and a John Carpenter horror story

These are my favorite kinds of topics, the fun things that we can do to alleviate ourselves naturally from the toils of life where everything we sometimes do seems like an uphill battle deliberately made so to prevent our very existence.  It had been one of those nights even over the weekend where professionally I had been up all night working through a number of problems and sleep was scarcely an option until the next day.  But by noon after 36 straight hours of worry Saturday afternoon opened up and I had a rare moment of fresh air where I could breathe without concern as all the objectives had been met.  It’s not like that all the time but when those types of things do happen you just have to wrestle the issues to the ground until you get through it.  So feeling totally depleted and in need of a full charge physically and intellectually my wife and I did what usually comes first for us during the summer months—we went to Kings Island, this time to specifically ride the new roller coaster they have called Mystic Timbers.

I had been trying to get to Kings Island for weeks but the time just wasn’t there, until this particular weekend.  And it was the perfect thing because I had been curious about Mystic Timbers since I watched the press conference last fall from the public relations crew which I must say have been doing a fabulous job over the last several years at advancing the amusement park.  I consider Kings Island a real treasure for our area and feel very fortunate that I have something that nice so close to my home.  I think people have a tendency to take something like that for granted because they are used to it.  Well, let me just say, I was in Paris just a few weeks ago at the Eiffel Tower there and having some leisure time by the carousel they have between the tower and the river and it’s nowhere near as nice or dramatic as the one at Kings Island.  The one in France may be three times taller, but at Kings Island the little fantasy town on International Blvd along the fountain is better than anything in Europe.  It’s cleaner and much more optimistic so the moment I set foot in that region for the first time in 2017 after doing so for over 40 years now, it reminded me that sometimes the best things in life are right down the road.  Kings Island is a better tourist destination than traveling to Paris—forget the history, region for region, Kings Island is simply a better place where you can relax without worrying about nonsense.

Rivertown at Kings Island has always been my favorite part of the park; I like the dynamic relationship between the log ride, the train, the trees, the little creeks and lakes that span down to the great Beast roller coaster in the back of the park. It was originally supposed to be a kind of frontier town similar to what they did at Disney World but has evolved into its own thing over time and I like to go there to get fries at the Great Potato Works.  In recent years Kings Island has added the Diamondback roller coaster which I still think is one of the best in the world—its such an unusually good ride and covers so much real estate, if that’s all they had it would still be fabulous.  I mean in London—one of the great cities of the world—they have Chessington World Adventures which is England’s version of an amusement park and its nothing like Kings Island specifically at Rivertown.  Even though I’ve been going to that particular part of the park almost my entire life, I still enjoy it each time so when they built a new roller coaster within it I was very curious.

Much to my surprise the Mystic Timber roller coaster was a significant improvement to the Rivertown area.  The theme of the ride itself actually rivals some of the rides at Universal Studios and Disney World by way of “plot” which is a departure from what is typically done at Midwestern amusement parks.  Mystic Timbers has a story to tell and I’m not going to give away what’s in the shed but it reminded me of an Indiana Jones adventure in a way mixed with a John Carpenter horror film—Christine comes to mind.  The ride itself was something of a mix between The Beast and the Adventure Express.  It’s not a rough roller coaster, kind of a middle of the road ride for people who don’t want to ride something as crazy as the Beast—but it had its own charm and takes you on a nice ride through the woods back to essentially the train shed and back again.  It was well done and really captured the atmosphere of the Kings Mills area with a plot that was very Blair Witch—which is revealed in the illustrious shed.  I thought the ride was a bold move by Cedar Fair Amusements in not just building a roller coaster, but in adding a story to the park as part of its overall mythology.  It was a very good move and took a kind of dead space in Rivertown and really juiced it up.  Now that entire area from the Soak City water park all the way to the pavement of Rivertown is a very dynamic area between the Water Canyon, the train ride, and now Mystic Timber—there’s a lot going on.

In the scope of the entire ride, Kings Island spent some serious money on the “shed” experience which was simply a queue up area where the coaster waits for passengers ahead of it to leave the station.  Instead of putting up with the dead time at the end of the ride these coaster designers gave people something to look at and used that time to add a little thrill as a climax.  For an adult, it’s not much, but for kids 10 years old, it’s pretty freaking cool.  I thought it was a nice touch.  Kings Island didn’t need to add the coast to the coaster by building the shed, but they did it to just take the experience to the next level and by doing so they are stepping into the kind of territory that is normally reserved for the great Orlando parks, and that’s saying something.  I was impressed.

For that day as it often does, Kings Island put some life back into me in a very positive way. It was a wonderful experience that I’m sure I’ll do many more times.  As a stress management tool, Kings Island for me is the best during those nice summer months where you want to get outside, but don’t have the time to invest in a big trip.  There is nothing like actually traveling somewhere to see things in their native environment, but honestly, Kings Island is a treasure compared to anywhere in the world and we are lucky to have it in the Cincinnati area.  It’s good to see that the park management isn’t content to just ride the fence and surrender to the other great parks in the United States but is willing to compete with them for the title of greatest.  Mystic Timber isn’t the greatest roller coaster in the United States—but it’s a pretty good one at a park that is certainly one of the largest with the greatest collection.  But what Mystic Timber does is liven up the character of an amusement park that has been there for a while but is just now starting to break out into its own individuality.  And that was good to see.

Fire the Teachers at the Dayton Education Association: A LeapFrog tablet is a better learning tool

What are these idiots thinking at the Dayton Education Association, going on strike over wages and benefits in this day and age—when we know that public school teachers collectively make too much money for what they actually do? Here it is the end of the school year where they are going to be off work soon anyway for the whole summer and they are threatening the school board with a strike so they can feed their fat assed mouths more during a summer long vacation?  Obviously the negotiators think marijuana smoking is legal in Ohio—because only somebody on drugs could think that striking against the tax payers is the right move.  Apparently they didn’t get the memo at the DEA in Dayton, because those teaches aren’t needed for education—they are only needed as baby sitters.  If you want to teach your kid the important things, get them a LeapFrog tablet and some programs at the Target department store.  But if you need some slugs to watch your kids while you go to work all day leaving other people to raise your kids, then send them to public school.  With that criteria in mind, just about anybody could be a babysitter, so all these Dayton teachers are easy to replace.  Here’s how the situation was reported by WDTN in Dayton.

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The Dayton Education Association said Thursday its members voted in favor of authorizing a strike if the status of negotiations does not improve.

According to a release by the DEA, contract negotiations with the Dayton Public Schools Board of Education have been ongoing since January.

The DEA says since that time, nearly 20 days have been spent negotiating a collective bargaining agreement and an impasse has now been reached. As a result, according to the DEA, both sides have sought federal mediation.

“Despite over 150 hours at the table, the DEA is greatly troubled by the Board’s refusal to recognize their teachers as professionals and meet their teachers, even halfway, on several key provisions,” said David Romick, DEA president. “Tonight’s vote should sound an alarm: the Dayton Public Schools are in a crisis,” Romick cautioned.

The union says many items remain unresolved including wages and benefits.

I haven’t dealt with an education topic for a while because honestly, the case is closed in my opinion.  I’m looking toward the Trump administration to expand School Choice and to break up the monopolies of union backed public education because that is the real problem.  No competition and high labor costs for poor performance are the cause of their out-of-control costs.  If you want to ruin a kid, send them to public schools without a lot of parental guidance and you’ll destroy them for life.  For some parents, deep down inside, that may be what they want to do—to handicap their children so they never outshine the parents.  Sending a kid to public school unguided by parental mentorship is essentially clipping the intellectual wings of the child for life and they’ll never recover.  They’ll die old people still crippled by their public education experience.  I thought by now everyone understood that.  Nobody should pass a school levy for a union infested education environment because you’re just throwing good money at bad methods of teaching.

I am very impressed by the LeapFrog Learning systems available at Target of all places.  They do a better job of Pre-K through grade 5 education than anything they are doing in public schools if learning is the objective.  Parents might argue that by sending their kids to school they are learning social interaction skills—but I’d claim the aim of the government schools is to break the children into progressive soldiers for tomorrow’s culture war against American tradition. So that makes them an insurgency, not a valued member of the American education system.  Teachers like these losers in Dayton aren’t worth more money—they are worth a lot less.  If the Dayton school board wants I could hire replacements for every one of their lost positions if they could hold strong on the strike and let those idiots starve.  By the looks of them they could afford to lose some weight.  I’d be happy to help them hire replacements too, just let me know Dayton.  We could replace every job lost to the strike in a month.  So don’t worry about it.  If babysitters are what we want so that parents can drop off their kids to watch while tax payers cover the daycare costs, then hiring those types of people is easy.

But we don’t need these people, who want to strike while on a cushy government job where they are off all summer, to teach our kids some “worldly” crap.  Look, I just returned from Europe where I spent time at both the British Museum in London and at The Louvre in Paris.  I was stunned by how willing to learn the kids were in both of those places where school kids were given assignments and worked in groups to solve problems at the museum exhibits under the care of very studious mentors.  I love museums and environments where learning is conducive and I have never seen kids behave in the United States like these kids did in London and Paris—from destinations all around the globe.  There isn’t a single teacher striking in Dayton that is talking about teaching kids to be equivalent to what I saw at the Louvre and British Museum recently.  And knowing that they should be giving the city of Dayton a discount, not demanding more money—give me a break.

I’m all for education but I’ve heard these loser teachers talk for years and they complain about things I’d consider easy as if they are the most difficult things to do in the world.  For instance, they say they do a lot of grading papers at home, and that it’s hard to manage 27 kids over a 6 hour period, and that they have to be personal mentors for all of them.  Well, try doing that for several hundred people, and working 14 to 15 hours a day all year-long and even catching up paperwork on weekends.  That’s my life so I really don’t want to hear how difficult their work day is.  I’m not sympathetic.  For what those Dayton teachers are making per hour for babysitting, they are living a dream job compared to the rest of the world.  So the Dayton management would be wasting money to throw one dime at these ungrateful teachers.  Cut them loose and hire some new people for the Dayton school system and don’t lose a minute’s worth of sleep over it.
