J.J. Abrams to Direct ‘Star Wars: Episode 7’: Kickstarting a new age with DYNAMITE peppered with TNT

As readers here know, I am a tremendous Star Wars fan.  For my thoughts on Star Wars and the future implication of that vast mythological story, CLICK HERE.  It goes without saying that the below press release I just received from Lucasfilm is news that I think is very valuable.  I hold mythology as being far more important than politics, and considering how much time I spend on politics, that should emphasize my thoughts accurately.  In my family, we relish mythology above and beyond all other transitory values, because the temperament of politics rolls in and out like the tide of an ocean, but mythology shapes society contextually and deserves a long view commitment.  I have great hope for the future of Star Wars and the impact it will have on young people everywhere.  So I am very, VERY proud that J.J. Abrams will be the next director of Star Wars: Episode 7.  He was my deepest wish for this project, and I am happy to present the following press release as it was sent to me:

“Star Wars Is Being Kick-Started with Dynamite”

J.J. Abrams to Direct Star Wars: Episode VII

After a bevy of emails and phone calls, the formalities have been wrapped up, and at long last everyone can exhale and properly share the word with an excited Internet. Yes, J.J. Abrams will direct Star Wars: Episode VII, the first of a new series of Star Wars films to come from Lucasfilm under the leadership of Kathleen Kennedy. Abrams will be directing and Academy Award-winning writer Michael Arndt will write the screenplay.

“It’s very exciting to have J.J. aboard leading the charge as we set off to make a new Star Wars movie,” said Kennedy. “J.J. is the perfect director to helm this. Beyond having such great instincts as a filmmaker, he has an intuitive understanding of this franchise. He understands the essence of the Star Wars experience, and will bring that talent to create an unforgettable motion picture.”

George Lucas went on to say “I’ve consistently been impressed with J.J. as a filmmaker and storyteller.  He’s an ideal choice to direct the new Star Wars film and the legacy couldn’t be in better hands.”

“To be a part of the next chapter of the Star Wars saga, to collaborate with Kathy Kennedy and this remarkable group of people, is an absolute honor,” J.J. Abrams said. “I may be even more grateful to George Lucas now than I was as a kid.”

J.J., his longtime producing partner Bryan Burk, and Bad Robot are on board to produce along with Kathleen Kennedy under the Disney | Lucasfilm banner.

Also consulting on the project are Lawrence Kasdan and Simon Kinberg.  Kasdan has a long history with Lucasfilm, as screenwriter on The Empire Strikes Back, Raiders of the Lost Ark and Return of the Jedi. Kinberg was writer on Sherlock Holmes and Mr. and Mrs. Smith.

Abrams and his production company Bad Robot have a proven track record of blockbuster movies that feature complex action, heartfelt drama, iconic heroes and fantastic production values with such credits as Star Trek, Super 8, Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol, and this year’s Star Trek Into Darkness. Abrams has worked with Lucasfilm’s preeminent postproduction facilities, Industrial Light & Magic and Skywalker Sound, on all of the feature films he has directed, beginning with Mission: Impossible III. He also created or co-created such acclaimed television series as Felicity, Alias, Lost and Fringe.

Abrams is the director of one of my favorite monster movies of all time, Cloverfield.  So I’m going to go get in line for Star Wars Episode 7 right now.

Because I think it’s going to be epic………………………………….it will be what you get when you mix dynamite with a side dish of TNT. What you get is……………THUNDERSTRUCK. And soon the magic of J.J. Abrams will strike us all.

Party at The White House: Why being “uncool” is a compliment to me………….give me “Coolidge”

I am not the kind of person that any president would ever invite to a White House party.  I do not play a subservient role well; I don’t give a rat’s ass about autographs or taking pictures next to celebrities.  I don’t drink, smoke, or even enjoy small talk of any kind.  But more than any other factor I do not dance…………period.

Dancing is a collective undertaking and I find the practice repulsive.  I always have—as far back as when I grew up in the 80’s when movies like Flashdance and Footloose were popular, there has always been something “eerie” about dancing.  When I was younger I did it a little, because girls liked it.  I even became pretty good at it.  But over time thankfully because I was able to be married early—and gain perspective, I was able to eliminate dancing as an inferior practice that I could cast away from my life completely.  And I don’t miss it in even the slightest degree.  I see dancing as surrendering individual thought to the impulses of music—which means that it is the music that is in control, not the mind.  So I NEVER dance.  I do not surrender my mind to the impulses of music.  I do not surrender my mind to intoxication.  I do not surrender my mind to anything for that matter.  In short I never, ever, ever—ever participate in activity that could be considered mental “evasion.”

So it is only natural that I would find the Inauguration Party hosted by The Obama White House to be a despicable affair.  The celebrities who attended like Katy Perry and Lady Gaga would not like my company, especially since their definition of “coolness” is in the First Lady leading the festivities with dance offs and proclamations of “let’s party” throughout the night.  I find the excesses consumed at such parties to be deplorable, and even under a Republican administration, I would not have attended.  If Ronald Reagan had invited me to the White House for a similar party, I would have turned it down.  But Reagan did not have parties at the White House like Obama has, and the excesses on display by the politicians involved during this latest inauguration event are in my view disgusting.

It is no wonder all the people present were progressives, because like the music they dance to, they allow their thoughts to be moved by the rhythms of political current instead of the logic of their minds.  The White House party goers are not in command of their thoughts but rather the collective consciousness of the party itself becomes the “thinking entity.”  This is why people—especially celebrities think the Obamas’ are so cool.  Katy Perry and her other young party hounds find the knowledge that the highest office in America enjoys surrendering logic to musical rhythm refreshing–because they all have that tendency in common.  “Partiers” find such yielding to be of the highest possible human endeavors.  This basic understanding of social gatherings is the basic premise behind all forms of collectivism.

To me, “partying” especially at The White House, is a low-level activity intended for collectivists.  Individuals with firm beliefs in their personal freedom, and dedication to the fruits of their minds do not feel compelled to “lose” themselves to music.  While it is true that those who don’t participate in such public displays of collectivism are called, “stiffs,” “corny,” “old-fashioned,” “narcs,” “overly conservative,” and so on—(believe me, I’ve heard it all)—the fact remains the same.  Collectivism is a weak form or human endeavor that cannot overtake the mental product of a single strong-willed individual no matter what the mental mass behind the effort dictates.  In a democracy, 1 million fools cannot invalidate the truth of one hard-core rugged individualist with firm beliefs.  It was a roomful of such strong-willed individuals who founded America.  But such minds are nearly extinct these days.  We don’t make them anymore, and when they are discovered, they are exiled socially as “narcs.” This is often good for the individualist, because they don’t need the masses.  But the masses need the individualist and their unbending leadership to hold their lives together.  The current political looters dancing the night away in The White House are not even mentally on the same aptitude level as the Founding Fathers and that is what disgusts me over every single White House party I have ever heard of, especially this most recent one in January of 2013.

I’m not mad that Obama didn’t invite me to the White House to party away the night with all his celebrity friends, because I would not have gone even if I liked him.  But what I am mad at is that with nearly $17 trillion dollars in debt, he took my tax money to help pay for his little shin dig, and he expects me to pay more in taxes so he can have more of the same kind of parties, which I don’t agree with in the first place.  It’s one thing to argue that taxes should be paid to fund roads, schools, police, or firefighters—but it is way over crossing the line to expect me to pay for the party antics of a bunch of slack-jawed collectivists who further wish to deface the image of the once noble White House.  I personally prefer the company of Presidents like Calvin Coolidge who would have most likely spent such inauguration nights reading in an upstairs bedroom instead of staring at the missile tits of Katy Perry or machine gun ta-ta’s of Lady Gaga.  When I consider the kinds of things that collectivists see as valuable the only term that comes to mind is that I was born sane in a crazy world, a world that thinks its “cool” to be a drooling despot “high on life” instead of a studious scholar with a hawk-eye on fiscal responsibility.

It’s hard to believe that we actually had presidents like Calvin Coolidge who occupied the same White House as Barack Obama.

Coolidge said in 1914: Do the day’s work. If it be to protect the rights of the weak, whoever objects, do it. If it be to help a powerful corporation better to serve the people, whatever the opposition, do that. Expect to be called a stand-patter, but don’t be a stand-patter. Expect to be called a demagogue, but don’t be a demagogue. Don’t hesitate to be as revolutionary as science. Don’t hesitate to be as reactionary as the multiplication table. Don’t expect to build up the weak by pulling down the strong. Don’t hurry to legislate. Give administration a chance to catch up with legislation.

Michelle Obama said in 2013:  “It is now my pleasure to introduce the fabulous Katy Perry!”

Workplace Freedom Amendment in Ohio: Who could possibly be against freedom? “UNIONS”

If you are tired of school levies and ridiculous tax increases placed on a ballot every 3 years from your community school, then there is only one hope of removing that threat from your week-to-week budget; the Workplace Freedom Amendment that is currently circulating around Ohio.  If you want to do anything about the skyrocketing cost of education in Ohio, then you need to do your part in bringing freedom to the workers of those industries so that union bosses cannot continue to drive up labor costs unreasonably with smoke and mirror campaigns against choice.  The number one reason that unionized labor costs so much in public education is because the unions have eliminated competition, and they have done this through massive extortion tactics forcing collectively the 100% participation of all their employees, even those who may not otherwise agree with the progressive politics of which labor unions are a direct result.

http://ohio.mediatrackers.org/2013/01/22/deadly-truth-about-workplace-freedom/

Workplace Freedom in Ohio should be a slam dunk issue.  After all, who is pro-extortion and limited choice?  Nobody would consciously admit to such a thing.  Yet anyone who stands against Workplace Freedom is against freedom of choice, and they make their livings by taking advantage of that artificial leverage.   The people who are most terrified of Workplace Freedom are groups like the Ohio Education Association—who represents most of the teachers in Ohio.  Right now, the OEA is one of the largest progressive groups in America and they provide a lot of money to politicians like Barack Obama.  Employees who do not support people like Obama have no choice but to see their union dues support progressive politics even if they don’t support those causes.  The union has managed to shut up the complaints of their members by extorting excessively high wages to help make that lack of choice go down better, which is why teachers are paid so extraordinarily well.  Unions working with lap dog school boards support this pyramid scheme by continuously going to voters for school levies every few years to pay for the outrageous labor costs they have negotiated to purchase the silence of “lack of choice.”  Most teachers don’t support progressive politicians.  They complain about them in the teacher’s lounge, or may send me an email quietly asking for help, but in the end they are paid extremely well to keep quiet.

Labor unions since they are rooted in communism also get to fulfill one of the planks established in 1958 by obtaining their funding through eroding away the value of personal property taxes. (CLICK HERE FOR MORE)  In the long-term, school funding on the backs of personal property incentivizes more and more people to give up that property and to take up residence in apartments, which has long been the hidden strategy of the concealed social communist.  This is consistent with the 2012 presidential election results where it can be easily ascertained that most Barack Obama supporters were not suburbanite property owners who believed in the Second Amendment.  Obama supporters instead rely on government assistance and centralized housing more often than not. Such a thing is a progressive platform and the same numbers are seen in those who support school levies over those who don’t.  The trend with school levies due to the monopoly public education has on the process is to beat into the minds of the voters the idea of hopelessness.  For instance, Little Miami Schools in Ohio went through nine school levies before voters finally approved a 13.5 mill levy which has been crushing on the homeowners.  In the short run most homeowners dig deep to find the extra money to pay the taxes, but over time, they will sell their homes to escape the high taxes and the lack of buyers will force many of those properties to become Section 8 housing.  That is the long-term plan by communists hiding behind the labor movement who support progressive politics.  Such a sad story is exactly what happened in the Fairfield School District in Southern Ohio, who in the mid 1980s was ranked by Playboy Magazine to have in it the most beautiful women in the country.  Fairfield was a vibrant community full of promise.  But high taxes, Section 8 housing, and endless promises of future school levies have destroyed it.  Just 20 years later, it is a community on the decline.  The same plan is outlined for Mason, Lakota, Little Miami, Sycamore and many other “wealthy” areas in Ohio.  Progressives seek “social justice” and income “fairness” over maintaining property values, even though they sell their service of maintaining property values as a short-term fix for buying into their racket.  Like the teachers, progressives in labor unions sell their organized crime type of syndicate by playing up the greed factor of their service.

The only reason any of this works is because unions have a monopoly on worker rights.  The way to take that power away from the unions and give the freedom of choice back to the employees and the tax payers is to remove the extortive leverage that the unions currently have.   This is why Workplace Freedom is the only answer to the long-term problem of school funding.  Until unions are no longer able to hold destructive monopolies in the public sector workplace can competition be introduced to education to help drive down the costs of teaching children.

Do not expect any help from politicians on Workplace Freedom.  This will have to be a citizen initiative.  The unions and their extortive measures have broken the back of virtually all politicians in Ohio after Senate Bill 5.  The tactics behind the scenes are quite vicious and many people don’t have the stomach for the aggression.  But thankfully, there are a few who are not afraid, and they are circulating petitions.  So it you’d like to sign, look one up, or send me a message and I’ll point you in the right direction.   It’s only a matter of time before Ohio has a Workplace Freedom Amendment, because the economics of the situation dictate the necessity.  But with your help Ohio can have it sooner than later, before states like Indiana and Michigan begin pulling dramatically out in front of Ohio economically.  But there won’t be any solution to the school levy crises that every community currently faces until the unions are no longer able to hold communities and their children hostage of phony fear tactics and fuzzy math.   Competition will take care of the reality of labor unions, once teachers are given the freedom to chose, and parents the freedom to accept.

Obama Learns a New Word: The meaning of “absolutism”

Obama and his gang of despots during the week of his showy inauguration learned a new word which they began uttering during the Sunday news shows and was later refined by Obama speech writers for his very divisive speech on Capital Hill January of 2013.  Their new word is “Absolutism” and their determined use of it is their new campaign to pull the very stupid into their cause of progressivism with the magic trick of word deferment—common in politics particularly with Democrats.  So what does “absolutism” mean?

1 a : a political theory that absolute power should be vested in one or more rulers, b : government by an absolute ruler or authority : despotism

2: advocacy of a rule by absolute standards or principles, 3: an absolute standard or principle

Obama is attempting to paint House Republicans, and anyone who stands against his progressive agenda as tyrants hell-bent on one party rule.  He is attempting to stoke the fires of discontent among the politically naive, which is a vast majority of the idiots who support him.  The reality is that the only “absolutism” being exhibited is from Obama himself.  His timely use of the word absolutism is a direct attempt to steer away eyes from his actual tyrannical intentions under the flag of “social justice.”  If one did not know better being participants in this direct time and age, Obama’s inauguration speech would fit nicely next to a majority of Joseph Stalin’s public speeches, and Adolf Hitler.   In the distant future when all the emotion of the times have passed, Obama, Stalin, and Hitler’s speeches played together could easily be interchanged as they all put “social justice” ahead of logic and fiscal responsibility.  The dictators’ comments of past and present are not aimed at the sophisticated thinkers, but at the stupid fool who belch proudly at the conclusion of their meals.  Click here for more.

The target of the word Absolutism is to put Obama’s critics on the ropes of defense and buy him time to take his shots at social justice and delay any discussion about the economy or the peril America currently faces.  Gay rights, Medicare, and the mythical female wage issue that obviously has skewed numbers due to statistical maternity leave are his top priorities over $17 trillion dollars in debt and record sustained unemployment.  His targeted use of the word Absolutism is designed to attack his critics with an emotional defense to prove fruitlessly that they are not unemotional rulers who hate social justice, instead of fiscal hawks’ intent to reign in spending.  Obama’s attack is out of the Bill Ayers School of Terror–the path of the intellectual who switches good with bad and calls the bad good.  People without much wit buy the ideas at wholesale value because they are simply too lazy to investigate the matter with any critical thinking which is how Obama won the election.

But Obama is the product of Bill Ayers terrorist organization The Weather Underground that has always been intent to destroy what they believe to be American Imperialism—and they are doing it in the same way that they use the word Absolutism.  Obama’s goal is to direct the nation’s attention to social justice while he actually attacks the fiscal stability of America.  To understand the rest of his intentions, the film 2016: Obama’s America needs to be viewed, especially after the inauguration speech.  The strategy is clear.

One thing did come to mind that was particularly ironic when watching Obama’s dictator-like speech.  It is his support of more gun control legislation and more specifically background checks for buyers.  Obama believes that citizens should have to undergo extensive background checks before buying a firearm.  Yet as he gave his speech nobody in the mainstream media even investigated Obama’s own background and his roots that trace back to Indonesian when he attended school as a citizen of that foreign land during his boyhood days.  Nobody looked deeply into his attending college in America as a foreign student.  Yet two times now background checks have not kept a terrorist protégé of Bill Ayers from gaining control of the largest military in the world—so what makes Obama think that background checks of any kind will ever work if they aren’t effective for the highest political office in the land?  To detour such questions Obama simply calls his opponents advocates of absolutism—to disguise that reality points to the “smeller is the feller,” the guilty party is the one using the word.  Not the people it is directed at.

Happy Birthday to the Dick Act of 1902: One of the best arguments for military style weapons in civilian hands

Happy Birthday to The Dick Act of 1902, the controversial law that just turned 100 years old and is in essence one of the greatest arguments for the rights of military style firearms for a civilian population.

The Militia Act of 1903 (32 Stat. 775), also known as the Dick Act, was initiated by United States Secretary of War Elihu Root following the Spanish–American War of 1898, after the war demonstrated weaknesses in the militia, and in the entire U.S. military. The act formulated the concept of the National Guard and also ensured that all state military forces were simultaneously dual reservists under the authority of the Army Reserve. This last measure was to prevent state governors from using National Guard forces as “private armies”, in many ways as had been done in the American Civil War and to ensure that the President could, at any time, mobilize state military forces into the federal armed forces.

U.S. Senator Charles W. F. Dick, a Major General in the Ohio National Guard and the chair of the Committee on the Militia,[1] sponsored the 1903 Act towards the end of the 57th U.S. Congress. Under this legislation, passed January 21, 1903, the organized militia of the States were given federal status to the militia, and required to conform to Regular Army organization within five years. The act also required National Guard units to attend 24 drills and five days annual training a year, and, for the first time, provided for pay for annual training. In return for the increased Federal funding which the act made available, militia units were subject to inspection by Regular Army officers, and had to meet certain standards.

The Dick Act of 1902 has been extensively quoted of late as gun grabbing politicians like Chuck Schumer, Diane Feinstein, and Mayor Bloomberg have attempted to use the tragedy of mass shootings to advance their private anti-gun positions.  However, contrary to the belief of many Second Amendment defenders, The Dick Act of 1902 is subject to repeal or being ignored altogether.  After all, many laws that are on the books currently are openly ignored by government for its own convenience.  For instance, the Tenth Amendment is especially ignored and manipulated by politicians under the “commerce clause.”  Thieves do not care about laws, so it should go without saying that criminals who run government don’t give much notion to The Dick Act of 1902.  They will find a way to circumvent it at any turn, because they are functioning as “enemies of the state” as it as the state “should be.”

The definition of how the “state” should be is outlined in The Federalist Papers, and Anti-Federalist Papers, both books among my greatest personal literary treasures.  When I speak of how America should be, I take those arguments as the original text and source of my foundation beliefs.  Modern politicians are of less quality than those who participated in those arguments, and are less valid as a result.  Their modern opinions hold no value for me.  They routinely ignore the Constitution, or seek to manipulate the wording at every turn.  So I do the same toward them—I seek to rid myself of their manipulative influence—and corrosive nature.  As an American I have no intention of being pulled collectively into their degraded philosophy of centralized power.

This brings us back to the intention of The Dick Act of 1902.  The intention behind the Act was to make all of America able to defend itself against all future armies, no matter what the economic conditions for the nation might be under any circumstance.  The assumption was that at some point in the future, as was evident during the Spanish-American War that America may not be able to properly support a military, and that may well be the case with a debt of $17 trillion and a collapsed dollar which appears unavoidable at this point in time.  As much as politicians deny the possibility, at the current spending and inflation rate, America is only about 5 years away from such a devastating fiscal collapse.  When and if that happens, America’s borders will be very vulnerable to invasion from hostile regimes, such as Venezuela, Central America, Mexico, the Russia, China, and North Korea—all have elements of their governments who are licking their chops at America’s evident decline.  The Dick Act of 1902 values a last layer of defense in America if the government is unable to support an organized military under federal dollars.  The citizens of our nation should be equally able to have arms that can fill the void of declined military support due to poor economic circumstances.  In 1902, the military had been gradually scaled back in the years after the Civil War to pay off the massive debts that had been incurred, and it is very possible that the future of America will go through the same ordeal.  A strong military is not always possible, but is only a direct result of a powerful country with a strong economy.  A strong economy is a fading light in present day America, so in the future, the defense of our country will fall on the citizen’s militia—which will have to function separately from a paid National Guard.   Military reliability may not be reliable in the future so everything that is available to military personnel needs to be available to the back yard patriot—and that includes rocket launchers and machine guns of all calibers—for the defense of our nation in the power void left by a bankrupt military.

Modern politicians are in denial that their policies will fail, and they wish to believe that their way of governance will always prevail.  They want to see that Americans have trust in their military, and the defense of the nation.  But reality says something else.  We can’t even trust our government schools to not abuse children, how can the government be trusted with every aspect of security for our nation?  After all, didn’t 9/11 happen because lots of people didn’t do their jobs?  People who believe such things are ridiculous, and impractical.  It is nice to have a military, and it is nice to have a National Guard, but it is the ability to assemble a militia on call, for neighbors to organize against a domestic threat, even if that threat is an internal collapse of government, which is the last best hope dedicated to preserving the Constitution under catastrophic social failure.  The private citizen army with the ability to assemble with arms purchased not by tax payers for government ends, but by their own desires for freedom with their own money is the key to real, “decentralized” freedom.  Those types of people are the last line of defense that keeps America free, and requires citizens to have the ability to purchase all arms of all types in all the quantities that they can afford for the preservation of the nation.

Diane Feinstein along with her gun grabbing friends assumes that life will always be just as it is right now.  They trust foolishly the premise set by the United Nations that the world’s tyrannical enemies can all be subdued by peaceful measures and words on paper.  Gun-grabbers believe, as naively as their idol Woodrow Wilson believed, that the world would be better off if only academics ran everything.  Yet they are as foolish as their fellow tyrants like Hitler who believed the world would be alright if only he eliminated all the Jews, or Stalin if all resisters to communism could be “purged” from politics, they all believe that centralized management is the key to a country’s success.  To the gun-grabbers everything would be peaceful if only the most violent in our society were contained away and separated from the rest of the society, and guns were kept from their hands.  All tyrants have the same childish notions.

Reality says otherwise–that those who are safest are those best able to defend themselves without large organizations of bureaucratic entities to act on their behalf.  What separates America from everyone else is the instantaneous ability to form a militia as the third line of defense, as outlined in The Dick Act of 1902.  The elements that make America different from every place else in the world are seen in the kinds of minds that shaped such laws in the first place.  The reliance is not on a government solution to safety, but on the local level to react quickly, and decisively, and to overcome any enemy with mass, because such an element cannot be strategically planned for by an invading army.  And foreign armies do plan an invasion of American soil, even if those plans are only a fantasy at present.  They just don’t act on it because in America invasion would be impossible to achieve because there is not centralization—which is the only way to secure an area and convert it over to the invader’s way of thinking.  In that spirit American enemies root for the gun-grabbers to succeed and hope to steal away the rights of Americans to arm themselves under a banner of peace. Only then can they hope to occupy America.  Strategically, they are already half way there.  If the military falls due to pour funding, and the politicians use every emotional crises to steal away Americans ability to purchase guns and ammunition then defeat of our continent is a forgone conclusion from all the European nations who have a bone to pick that started with the American Revolution.  For those who think such thoughts are too far in the past do not know the minds of most Europeans—especially those in academia who shape the thoughts of world society.  Yes, there is a plan, and the only thing that keeps it from happening is the spirit of America that is reflected in The Dick Act of 1902.  It may be only 100 years old, but it is more relevant today than it was then, and for much more sinister, global tactical maneuvers.

Lakota Exploits more Children in Money Grab: The sinking “love boat” of public education

I didn’t think much of Joan Powell’s announcement that she would not seek reelection for her Lakota school board seat she has held for over 16 years until I saw her closing statements in the Lakota News Network’s newspaper—(The Pulse Journal).  In yet another softball interview from Hannah Poturalski, Powell stated about her fellow school board members “I don’t think anyone does this job for the recognition or the money, but certainly I know that this group of individuals, everybody’s heart is in doing this for the betterment of our community and the children of our community to make sure they have quality education.”  I don’t have any doubt that every one of Lakota’s school board members including Joan believes that mantra, but the reality of the situation is far more telling.  Read the actual Pulse Journal article at the link below.   (Also below are some 2010 examples of how Lakota used young people to advance a union labor cause contributing to the need for additional taxes.  Notice how The White House and Lakota Schools use the same tactic of manipulation on the backs of young children.  After the next three videos are more factual based videos that deal with the actual school funding problems.  Joan and her friends have openly participated in this behavior knowingly or unwittingly.)

http://www.pulsejournal.com/news/news/lakota-board-president-will-not-seek-re-election/nTyG7/

School board members are not pillars of the community.  The school in fact is only a small part of the community, not the centerpiece—as organized labor supported by long time school board members friendly to such socialist organizations have openly advocated.  School boards are only management teams no more important than an average management team of any company.  Their job is to manage their business, and in the case of the Lakota school board members, they have not done a very good job of that management because they are always asking for more money—which they plan to do in the fall of 2013 ahead of the LEA contract that is up in the summer of 2014.  If the school board under Joan’s leadership had done their job and not caved into the labor union so many times over her 16 year career Lakota might not have so many financial problems now.  Anyone in management knows that it’s easy to say “yes” to employees and give them anything they want, but most of the time managers are required to say “no,” and to draw a line in the sand to live within a budget.  At Lakota, the management team has routinely just given away money to their employees believing that it would shut them up, that it would buy them the best talent, and that they could cover their incompetency with the silly notion that they are “pillars of the community.”  For many years parents believed Joan and her fellow school board members like former levy campaign advocate Sandy Wheatley, and current school board member Julie Schaffer who also worked on the past levy campaigns, had exhausted all options when they ask for community tax increases.  But instead of management of resources, these fiscal managers simply copy the big labor bullet points of their employees and expect the community to buy into the cost increase without opposition.  These tax advocating big labor supporters are dead wrong in their version of what makes education work, and attempt to hide the reality not just from the community, but from themselves.  They attempt to paint their jobs as important beyond analysis because “children” are involved which covers the real crime of poor management.

This is where I get angry with all these characters.  When they can’t explain the flaws in their philosophy, and have shown that they are not willing to look deeply into the problems of education—they instead perform the exact same maneuver that the Obama White House is doing whenever they find themselves on the wrong side of a philosophical debate—they use the innocence of children to attempt to shut down all debate of their actions.  In the case of Lakota, they are a government school, so they function with the same mentality as all government programs; they believe their service is the most important aspect of human life.  It doesn’t matter if it’s the EPA, the TSA, Police, Firefighters, the Postal Service, the BMV—they all behave like the youngest child in a family and scream for attention as though their self-importance made the world spin.  What makes all this nonsense unfathomable is when that self-importance seeks to justify itself with children—and that is what Lakota and every other public education institution does to justify their mismanagement.  The situation is compounded when school board members attempt to paint a 16 year investment of their life to a school board as the betterment of their community through children.  I believe people like Joan consider such things, at least superficially as factual.  But the reality is far from the truth.

After my experience with Lakota schools from 2004 to 2012 and going to many meetings on education and studying the funding situation—I believe the only fix for public schools is School Choice.  And before there can be real School Choice for a school like Lakota, the teachers union has to go away with the Workplace Freedom amendment or some version of it.  Only when teachers are given a choice of whether they wish to participate in an extortive labor union or not can choices in education be given to parents.  And only then can freedom and educational opportunity be given to children.  When school board members align themselves with labor unions like Joan has with the Lakota Education Association, as Sandy Wheatley has, and Julie Shaffer has and many others……..they support a lack of freedom of choice, of allowing Lakota to have a monopoly on the education process without competition determining the real winner and losers of the marketplace.  Watching these people perform in public is like watching the Harlem Globtrotters play against the Washington Generals.  You know the Globetrotters are going to win–their shows are just a lot of tricks and silly antics.  No competition against a stacked deck.

In another article in the West Chester Buzz Joan revealed again her view of the education situation when she said, “I have worked with four different superintendents. I can’t think of how many governors. Lakota has seen a lot of change and I hope Lakota can remain so successful because I really do believe that it holds a valuable place in this community.”  Without realizing it, Powell articulated her real motive for holding office with the school board.  What other position would allow her to be a supervisor over superintendents?  What other position would give her access to state governors?  What other position would place her in the middle of most community politics?  Would she have access to such people if she were only a real estate agent?  Of course not.  But under the umbrella of helping children, the hidden desire to rub shoulders with important people can be hidden from analysis.  It allows a gigantic illness to continue to ooze throughout society, and people like Joan and her 16 years of advancing the big labor position have only succeeded in limiting freedom of choice for families and the students of education with a phony regard for their well-being. If they really cared they wouldn’t attempt to cover up bad things that happen to kids by protecting the reputation of the institution over the individuality of the children.  I have many cases that prove that to be the case—some published here, some not.  CLICK HERE FOR A SAMPLE.

Or this one: CLICK HERE

Or perhaps this one: CLICK HERE

Or this one…………………I could go on and on and on………………..CLICK HERE

The same kind of illusion that is hidden behind motherly care was uttered by Lakota’s superintendent Mantia when she said about Joan’s years of service, “I have watched an incredible amount of time this board of education spends in what I would view as some of the most tumultuous educational times.  It’s deep conversations about children’s futures … and as we ponder the next phase of education for students in a very changing world, those conversations get much more difficult.”  Mantia and Powell along with the rest of the Lakota school board I have no doubt believed every word of that statement too.  But they do not look further to the merit of their statements.  What they are really concerned about is not children, but their vision of education and the direction it is going—which is School Choice.  What resides behind the superficial concerns for children’s well-being is a concern for the preservation of their understanding of education—of the philosophy they have committed their lives to.  If public schools really cared about kids they wouldn’t try to pound out their individuality into socialist goo of brainless consumerism.  Public schools and their agents have destroyed the lives of far more children than they’ve ever helped.  The proof is all around us—and those products are the result of many Joan Powell’s and their multiple years of service on a school boards supporting all the wrong ideas and building the strength of a community on the unstable backs of organized labor driven public education.

The reality of the situation is one thing, and I feel the way I do about it.  People are free to choose whether or not they wish to support such social positions.  But children cannot choose, and they are always the ones who are exploited by the weak arguments of professional educators who cannot otherwise justify their internal psychosis.  That is when the line is crossed.  I wish Joan well in her future endeavors if she is in fact truly leaving the Lakota school board—and this is not just a stunt prior to the announcement of their 2013 levy.  But bringing the community and children into the argument is crossing the line.  Her job as a school board member will not be missed by children or the community.

Life will tick on with or without her and behind her words is the real fear that her 16 years meant nothing for the greater good, instead of being of paramount importance.  That is the real meaning behind such statements that are hidden behind the defenseless children who naively advocate so much social evil.  The evil is in lack of choice and the tyranny of monopoly as advanced by public education institutions everywhere of which Joan and her fellow school board members are simply minor players.  The system they serve is headed for a major revolution.  It won’t happen over night, but over the next decade.  It will happen slowly and will benefit children and their families immensely.  And before it’s done, there will be many more resignations from those who see the writing on the wall, and want to jump off the sinking ship while it still floats.

For my position, I am happy to see public education sink, because what the ship carried was a way of looking at the world that has caused great harm to our civilization and it deserves to be on the bottom of the deepest oceans in the cold dark abyss where such an evil can no longer hurt children by using them to fuel the luxury the ship affronted on behalf of the ship’s crew who enjoyed much luxury on the “love boat” called public education.

The Difference between Us and Them: Morning Joe Team shocked by NRA advertisement

‘One of the grossest things they have ever seen?’ This is what the Morning Joe Team on the Progressive channel MSNBC said in regard to a recent NRA advertisement. Obviously these people don’t remember how poorly George Bush’s children were treated when he was president. But they have conveniently forgotten all about that now. Watch and listen how shallow the minds and memory of these progressives are.

There is no dealing with people like this from the “lean forward” channel. Wasn’t that the campaign slogan for the last Lakota school levy, and Barry Obama’s latest run for President? Progressivism is for these mush minded types, not real Americans. They haven’t a clue as to what the Constitution is about, nor do they care to learn. They wish us all to “lean forward” straight into the same brick wall that all of Europe is hitting. They are the primary example of why America must never give up their guns, because it will be these types of people who will run everything.

They can’t even remember the Bush Presidency which was only 5 years ago.

The American Dream Labs: A new book by David Barton ‘The Jefferson Lies’

I received from a good friend and loyal reader here at Overmanwarrior’s Wisdom a great gift—one of the only things that I truly love in the world—a new book.  And this particular book is from one of my favorite authors and is about one of my favorite Founding Fathers.  The book is called The Jefferson Lies by David Barton and seeks to set the record straight about Thomas Jefferson as progressive secularists have attempted to destroy his good name in order to advance their diabolical causes.  The book was ironic because it represented a kind of book end to a string of announcements that had their source in one man—Glenn Beck who is proving to be one of America’s new Founding Fathers by creating the means to rediscover what made us so great in the first place.  If not for Glenn Beck the new book I received about Thomas Jefferson would not have been possible—because it is Beck who has given voice to scholars like David Barton who would have otherwise been whisked away into a corner of intelligentsia and subdued.  If not for the efforts of Glenn Beck’s media empires, fueled by the book publishing industry and a society starving for intelligent material, people like David Barton wouldn’t have a voice.

Much of the trouble in America today can be blamed on progressives.  The world of debt, of broken marriages, of childhood misery, of aborted babies, of a stupid grown-up electorate more interested in sports scores than who they will vote for in the next election, of kids walking around aimlessly with their pants down around their knees in public wondering why nobody wants to hire them for a job. Most every problem in our modern society is the fault of secular, tampering, small-minded, progressives like Woodrow Wilson, Franklin Roosevelt, Teddy Roosevelt, Lyndon Johnston and a whole slew of other like-minded fools who have attempted to socially engineer mankind with their infantile foolishness driven by insecure minds not completely sane.  One of the reasons secular progressives have attempted to diminish the work of people like Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, George Washington, and one of my all time favorites—Ben Franklin is because the modern man of progressive thought is but a boot heel philosophically to those classic Founding Fathers.  Presidents like Thomas Jefferson must be defamed so that presidents like Woodrow Wilson can look equal.  The progressive, who is in charge of every public school in America knows that the way to make themselves look good is bring everyone else down—which is why the world around us is filled with so many stupid people.  (I mean I was at the movies the other day and I think the collective intelligence of the people around me might have been able to power a pocket calculator.  They all looked like they voted for Obama.  One kid was walking with his girlfriend and literally couldn’t carry their popcorn into the movie theater because his pants were pulled down so far that he had to hold them with one hand because his other was holding his girlfriend’s.  The girlfriend had to carry the popcorn and pop.  The boy probably had a brain, and he might otherwise have been a promising young man of some merit, but I could take one look at him and tell that he was probably raised off government assistance, that he came from a fatherless household, that he probably ran with a group of wanna’ be thugs practicing gang behavior as kittens practice fighting with a ball of yarn—to prove their prowess.  The boy was a victim of secular progressivism and their social experiments that have gone worse than a Frankenstein mad scientist experiment.)

As I held the new Barton book in my hand I thought of the spot that I had sat in over a decade ago when I took my family to Monticello—Jefferson’s very innovative home.   I sat where Jefferson did as he wrote his letters and looked out the same windows that he did the day that he died on July 4th, the same exact day as his one time political rival John Adams.  The two men wrote each other furiously during the closing days of their lives, and July 4th meant something special that nearly defied death.  Both men separated by miles of carriage driven roads through an endless wilderness pushed their minds to see one more July 4th in 1826.  In fact, they died within 5 hours of one another, no phone lines, no television, just remote wilderness and a mutual love and respect for knowledge and the founding of America.  Jefferson was a smart man overflowing with self-driven ambition.  He was the result of his many thousands of books.  What he put into his mind came out as a direct result to the quality he had invested.  He read books ranging from Adam Smith’s The Wealth of Nations to Alexander O. Exqemelin’s The Buccaneers of America (One of my all time favorites first published in 1678—Oh what I would give to have an original copy of that book in my personal library!)  Like Jefferson my life would be meaningless without books.  They are the blood that pumps through my veins and that will always be the case.  I simply love to read them, and I love to be in their company whether it be a private library or a public one.  I love the presence of knowledge, thought, and enterprise.  I have often spoke of my disgust that the Library in Alexandria, Egypt was destroyed by the mob.  CLICK HERE TO REVIEW.  Progressives like all the parasites of the past know that the way to control the masses is to make them too ignorant to think for themselves—so that those same masses will always clamor for a leader—provided by the modern progressive politician.  The mentality is the same whether the period of time is the sacking of Rome, or the modern push for same-sex marriage as a priority over the national debt.  The secular progressive seeks destruction of thought to advance their sinister plots.

But the same man who made indirectly the new David Barton book about Jefferson possible had just spent a week explaining his new massive project—The American Dream Labs which is a fantasy right out of the pages of anything Thomas Jefferson or Ben Franklin could have ever hoped for in America.  Glenn Beck is restoring to our modern times a love of knowledge and innovation that founded the nation, and he is doing it beyond the reach of secular progressives.  Beck is achieving a kind of critical mass that George Soros and all his billions couldn’t stop, because in the “rock, paper, scissors” game of politics, intelligence always crushes stupidity and progressives like Soros have been crushed by a reawakening of the human spirit.  Glenn Beck simply refused to back down, and he is about to erupt with a creative energy driven by the same kind of restless force that drove Thomas Jefferson.  The results of this awakening unfortunately won’t be measured for a decade or two, but it will occur now that Beck has started the process.  The results of today are a direct result of progressive policies started in the 1990’s.  The conservative revival of Beck, Barton and those like them won’t be truly felt until around 2025 or 2030.  It takes a long time to emerge, but it starts in arts and entertainment–the rest of the culture will follow later.

Beck shares with me it appears a love of the theoretical city/amusement park Epcot Center.  Walt Disney, like Beck was committed in his day to the same kinds of thoughts and feelings that drove the Founding Fathers, which is why there are such strong themes referencing them in Disney World.  CLICK HERE FOR REVIEW.  Every city in America should take notes from Disney’s Epcot Center and form their infrastructure around those concepts.  But none do, instead they allow themselves to be shaped by corrupt politicians who try to scrape enough off the top to buy a new condo for themselves.  Modern cities are shaped by incomplete people.  So Glenn Beck is planning to build his own city called Independence, U.S.A. at a cost of about $2 billion dollars.  Click the link below to see all the video of Beck explaining the concept complete with drawings and further commentary.  Most important to me is that Beck is going to feature a library in the center of his city that will be available to teach politicians all over the country how they are supposed to govern based on wisdom, not diabolical greed.  I am extremely excited about Glenn Beck’s American Dream Labs.  He is attempting to do what Walt Disney never could, and Ayn Rand only thought about in the book Atlas Shrugged—he is building a Galt’s Gulch in plain sight—in the midst’s of secular progressive political control.

The American Dream Labs (CLICK TO SEE MUCH MORE)

Progressives who believe that everything is interconnected around the halls of intelligentsia obviously missed the boat.  They are right about the interconnected nature of things, and the need for wisdom, but they allowed their academic vision to be corrupted by the wrong philosophy—that of European collectivism, and they will fail 100% of the time as a result.  They outwardly proclaim to represent wisdom, and knowledge—but instead they represent foolishness, and apathy—so it is they who are behind the push to destroy the name of Thomas Jefferson.  And it is because of them that people like Glenn Beck must build a new city so that it can outshine all others as a gleaming example of how things should be done—not how they currently are.   Because of books like the one I received from my friend, The Jefferson Lies, Glenn Beck is moving his business operations into movies, television shows, more books, and more radio—in short, as I mentioned to Doc Thompson the other day—“Glenn Beck will be the new Ted Turner of modern media.”  Ted Turner represented the views of secular progressivism and the world has been shaped by his many billions of dollars.  Ted is indirectly responsible for that young man I mentioned at the movie theater who had to hold his pants up with his free hand walking like a penguin into a movie theater with his girlfriend.  The young man is the result of secular progressive thought advanced through Ted Turner’s cable television empires.  CLICK HERE FOR MORE.  Glenn Beck is now doing the opposite of all those past media tycoons.  Beck before he’s done will far out-grow his media model of Orson Wells, and I believe that he will out-produce Walt Disney—and that means an end to secular progressivism eventually in America—and I can’t wait.

The book I received as a gift on January 12, 2013 from one of my dear Overmanwarrior’s Wisdom readers represents this slight shift in embracing knowledge over political ideology that has helped feed the modern empire of secular progressivism.  The  book is a an early product of Glenn Beck’s American Dream Labs and I cherish the very pages contained within it like a lost treasure found after thousands of years of being buried in the sand.  All books have value, but some have more value than others, and anything by David Barton is a treasure trove of wealth and knowledge.  I am so thankful to have such a book in my hands.  Upon reading through it I am reminded of the rooms of Monticello which was an early version of Jefferson’s kind of American Dream Lab, and found it easy to understand why Jefferson answered his own White House door in his slippers and bed robe, and didn’t think enough of the presidency to even put the title on his tomb stone.  That is the kind of man who founded America, and that is the kind of man who I admire.  That is the kind of human being that Glenn Beck’s American Dream Labs will be committed to producing in The United States and that excites me greatly.  It is my hope that my grandson can go to the movies with his future wife and take note that all the young men there can carry the popcorn for their girl friends while holding her hand with the other.  The young men will be able to perform the task because they’ll have their pants pulled up around their waist and properly fastened where they belong, and not down around their knees like the messed up kids from the early 2010’s who had been virtually destroyed mentally by secular progressivism and left to root in the abyss of cataclysm.

Doc Thompson on The Blaze Radio Network: What’s better than a pile of gold?

I first met Doc Thompson at a School Choice event in Mason, Ohio.  CLICK HERE FOR REVIEW.  Doc and I had done a number of interviews on the powerful 700 WLW radio station in Cincinnati that was having a major impact on the direction of not just education funding in the state of Ohio, but also the nature of education itself, so it was good to finally meet him in person.  Unlike most who sit behind a radio station microphone with a fake name and the many caricatures of oneself invented for the airwaves, Doc is surprisingly just as passionate about issues off-the-air as he is on.  This is how he came to meet me at the School Choice event, and we have stayed in touch ever since.  We would cross paths again at the Glendale Tea Party where Doc was the keynote speaker as trains stormed by during a particularly patriotic afternoon gathering.  We worked hard to bring Atlas Shrugged Part One to the Newport on the Levee movie theater, and we helped make waves with a carbon party at a local Cincinnati vineyard consuming as many carbons possible with fuel exhumed by the Sons of Liberty motorcycle club and a lot of outdoor grilling.  We also defeated a number of local school levies which generated extensive anxiety among the local labor unions and created discussions that had never occurred before in the world of politics because Doc had a microphone and would often call on me to expose many of the education facts that get shoved under the rug.  (CLICK HERE TO SEEM HIM SPEAK AT THAT GLENDALE EVENT).

(CLICK HERE TO SEE THE VINYARD SPEECH)

One of the darkest days in my recent memory was when all the push back from this activity came to pass.  The unions organized a kind of community boycott against me, Judge Napolitano had his show Freedom Watch canceled on the Fox Business Channel–allegedly because of his constant support of Ron Paul for President—and Doc Thompson was fired from WLW Radio while on a honeymoon with his wife Yuna.  All this news came within about 5 days of each other and I had the impression that there was an all out assault on the kind of reforms I was fighting for, so I bunkered down which led to my famous latté sipping prostitute comments that made so much news around Cincinnati.  I didn’t care if it made people angry or even hurt their feelings.  It was time to change tactics because my friend was being forced to leave his job and I felt responsible for it.  Scott Sloan at WLW tried to assure me that I didn’t cause Doc to lose his job at that particular Clear Channel station but I had been around the block enough to know that politics behind the scenes had worked against Thompson and it was because he was a good guy not just behind the microphone—but in real life—that contributed to his termination.  I felt responsible because I helped fuel that trait with this blog site, (many of those interviews can be found here with an easy Google search).  Too many times over the years I have seen “good guys” punished in some form or another for being too good—for NOT running around on their wives, for NOT drinking enough at company parties, for NOT having a series of personal failures such as gambling addictions, eating disorders, or being chain smokers.  The people who run the world—at least those who have up to this point—like to cozy up with people who exhibit personal failure, because it makes them feel less guilty about their own wrecked lives.  Doc, it was clear to me, was a good person trying to fit in with a group who thought he was way too clean behind the ears, and it cost him his job, at least that’s my take on the whole ordeal.

After Doc left, I knew my relationship with WLW would change.  I did a couple of appearances with Marc Amazon, Darryl Parks, and then one very memorable one with Scott Sloan, but during all of them I felt I was betraying Doc Thompson, so I had to cleanse myself of that notion—which is why I said the things I did about all the characters involved.  It wasn’t just the gigantic assed despots who support school levies in my community, but their weak-kneed husbands who throw stones at people like Doc Thompson—because he’s too “good.”  “Goodness” should be rewarded, not punished, and here was Doc Thompson, squeaky clean socially, subbing part-time for the Glenn Beck Radio Show, winner of several Marconi Awards, and marrying a beautiful television news anchor while fighting for what’s good in American politics.  He was doing everything right, yet he found himself on the outside looking in, and it made me furious.  When Russ Jackson called me after my Enquirer comments (CLICK HERE FOR REVIEW) and wanted me to come on the Eddie and Tracy Show, I declined not because I didn’t want to argue on the air the merit of my controversial public statements, but some of those comments were directed at the people behind the termination of Doc Thompson, and I didn’t want to pour more fuel on the fire, while on the air.  The guilty parties know who they are, they put me on email block right after the phone call.   Not because I threatened anybody or said anything disrespectful, but because the guilty parties knew I knew what was going on.  (Only a few did this, most were innocent.)

Logic told me that I had a book called Tail of the Dragon coming out—that I should play it safe and keep my mouth shut—like everyone else, because it would be good for me, my sales and my writing endeavors in the future.  But tactically, experience told me that a line in the sand needed to be drawn—so I said what I did to respond to all the issues occurring at the same time and for the good, the bad, and the ugly it was time to slug it out and not tap dance through the issues.  I sided with Doc Thompson even if it meant that he would be a street vender selling hot dogs at baseball games and would never get a broadcasting opportunity again.  When I meet good people, I do not betray them for any measure of personal advancement—politically, fiscally, or amorously.  I never have, and I never will even if it costs me a great deal up front.  Good people are so rare, that they are much more valuable than all the riches of the world when you meet them, and Doc is one of those people.

Doc went on to Detroit to work for a CBS station and he had success, only not long after hiring him producers announced they planned to convert their talk station into a sports network with an ESPN type spin on their broadcasting, so again, at the start of 2013, Doc appeared to be out of a job.  That is until Doc Thompson’s friend Glenn Beck offered him a chance of a lifetime with The Blaze Radio Network hosting a morning show nationally from 6 AM till 9 AM right before Glenn’s famous radio show that has a footprint of over 10 million listeners.  This means that Doc will be heard all over the nation on iHeart Radio with a Blaze Channel that is setting the broadcasting standard for the future.  Doc Thompson finally gets the opportunity to be the good person that he is under the business umbrella of Glenn Beck who is equally committed to being a “good man,” in all phases of being human.

The news for me that Doc was not just doing another syndication deal like so many other radio shock jocks currently do all over the nation, is extremely exciting.  There are plenty of Sean Hannitys, and Howard Sterns these days, and the world doesn’t really need one more.  They are part of the established order as it has been, not as it will be—and so far, Glenn Beck is a media personality who is shaping the world of tomorrow with the kind of ambition that eluded Nikola Tesla’s great fight with Thomas Edison.  The difference between Edison’s version of electric power and Tesla’s was not one of superiority, it was because J.P. Morgan backed Edison and wanted to control electricity—so Tesla was bought out forcefully and Edison prevailed shaping the way electricity is generated and delivered to this very day.  In the case of Glenn Beck, the situation is reversed.  The money is behind the better man and it has allowed people like Beck to hire good people like Doc Thompson to become the new standard in radio broadcasting.

Walter Cronkite made his name as a newsman because he was there when the television was invented.  Bill O’Reilly became the dominate newsman when cable overtook broadcast television years later as a reliable news source.  Both men were there at the start of major technical revolutions and were able to use their skills specific to those innovations to usher in a new age.  Doc Thompson will become that new standard that has not yet been heard on any broadcast, because another technological revolution is emerging around internet distributorship percolating outside of FCC regulation, and this will ironically allow good people like Doc Thompson to dominate that new age.  This time Doc will not be fired for being a good person, for not making enough “fart” jokes on the air, or spending airtime talking about the voluptuous attributes of women.   Doc will succeed because his new boss is Glenn Beck—a man who honors the honorable, and is committed to a goodness that has left Americans vacant.  Doc Thompson will become the new standard in broadcasting in 2013 and it all starts on January 21st on The Blaze Radio Network every morning with an emerging media empire driven by Beck that is committed to not just making money—which it is–but in the manufacture of “goodness” which ironically is a new concept in our media driven culture.  That is why Doc Thompson is one of the few types of personalities who could fill that growing demand.  Being a “good guy” is not something that can be faked when it’s required to come from a person 24 hours a day 7 days a week.  In the old days, newsmen and actors could “pretend” to be good people while they were on the set, or conducting an interview.  These days, with the growth of the internet and instant access to information at all times of the day, a radio personality like Doc Thompson must go beyond the traditional broadcasting criteria—the broadcaster must actually be “good” otherwise people won’t listen, because they have been burnt before with deception, and they won’t invest their time in a puppet show as they did in the early days of media.  In this new age, Doc Thompson is the whole package, and the world is about to learn what I already know, that The Blaze Radio Network just secured their future in history with the announcement that Doc Thompson will be their new morning man who will send all the competition reeling.  Being “good” can’t be faked, it has to be sincere, and Doc Thompson is as sincere of a person as I have ever met in journalism, entertainment, or as an activist.  If a pile of gold and friendship with Doc Thompson were set before me, I would pick Thompson, because that friendship is worth more than the gold.  This is why The Blaze Radio Network will explode as the next generation in broadcasting, and I am very happy to see it happen.  It couldn’t have happened to a better guy.

CLICK HERE to see my early thoughts about The Blaze with a contribution during it’s opening weekend of publication back in 2010.  I’m pretty good at spotting a winner.

And this footage of Glenn Beck’s visit to Wilmington, Ohio and his Christmas dedication to one of my favorite films, It’s a Wonderful Life.

The fighters in this new way of thinking are standing up for what’s good, for the values we all celebrate in films like It’s a Wonderful Life.  Anything less, just isn’t acceptable and for me, I expect those values every day of the year…………………..not just during Christmas.

Lee Wong President of West Chester: Turbulant politics ahead!

For all the reasons that Lee Wong is now president of the West Chester Trustees, local politics is at best dysfunctional beyond repair with the same old faces.  Only Catherine Stoker knows her true motives, but it appears that during an election year where Lee and Cathy’s seats are both up for re-election, Cathy—who has been a trustee for West Chester since 1994 and represents every brand of big government intrusion into business interests, private residents, and is a tremendous supporter of the public education black hole school funding that currently exists is dealing her friend a bad hand of cards. Cathy and Lee have a great relationship and work well together for their own collective oriented agenda, but politics is…………….well……………politics.  For an example CLICK HERE to see video and commentary on the sidewalk debacle that took place in Becket Ridge by Lee and Cathy.

http://westchesterbuzz.com/2013/01/09/west-chester-board-of-trustees-name-wong-president/

If anyone has ever seen Lee Wong conduct a meeting, it is obvious that he struggles to keep everything organized, so it appears that Cathy is throwing her friend under the bus by allowing him to draw all the fire that is coming from the West Chester Tea Party’s commitment to fiscal responsibility—which is proving challenging. Cathy’s years of experience knows that whoever is president will take most of the fire as they are required to provide frequent quotes to the press—and this will be politically difficult for the kind of person that Lee is.

The same type of shuffle game occurred on the Lakota school board last year when Joan Powell relinquished her president’s seat to Ben Dibble.  She had an election coming up to win, and the new comer Julie Shafer was elected vice-president allowing Powell to hide in the background till the heat died down that was going on at the time.  CLICK HERE FOR REVIEW.  It is relevant to the trustees of West Chester as they are all politicians in the same community and are functioning from the same strategies.  While inexperienced politicians like Lee, Ben, and Julie are led to believe that they are being promoted for their good behavior, the more politically manipulative “old timers” know how to preserve themselves under challenging circumstances, and both Lakota school board members and the West Chester trustees are faced with huge challenges in 2013 from new blood running for their seats.

I know of two people who are thinking seriously of making runs for the trustee seats of Cathy and Lee, and they stand a great chance of removing those two progressive minded politicians.  Cathy had arranged with Lee in much the same way they worked out the issue of the side-walk in Beckett Ridge–that he would become president and she would be vice-president because they hold a 2 to 1 vote over the third trustee George Lang recently re-elected during 2011.  In Cathy’s case, it is best for her to appear she is not a power-hungry name plate goddess by relinquishing some of her power to Lee—while the real motive might be to diffuse political attention away from herself to Lee, so that her seat gets most of the progressive votes over the two conservative challengers who are planning to run against her.

It is interesting that there is never any explorations in the local papers about this kind of behavior.  Reporters have allowed themselves to be lap-dogs to people like Cathy, Lee, and Joan.  Reporters enjoy powerful people with name-plates because it makes for easy reporting, so seldom is any substantive investigation done into the motives of politicians when positions of power changes.  But in Lee’s case, it would seem obvious given his political handicaps what Cathy is up to.  Voter apathy is how Cathy has managed to keep her seat and maintain invites to all the prestigious West Chester social occasions for over 20 years.  Often, that is the real motive behind these types of politicians; they enjoy the social occasions and the feelings of importance that they offer.  They are always seeking ways to exploit voter apathy—such as changing around the names to make positive adjustments appear to be happening, to give the appearance of democracy in action. But the reality is quite something else.

It will be up to voters to prove Cathy politically wise, or not during the election of 2013.  In the past such decisions have worked, but that was before people started to wake up, as they are beginning to do now.  The question will be whether or not voters will give new people a chance to rock the foundations of West Chester politics with much more competent minds—instead of the scheming that goes on which centers completely on self-preservation using politics to provide the illusion of personal value in the context of social occasion.  The management of a district or a community is not about hand-shaking, charity events, or touchy-feely progressivism.  It’s about making hard decisions and care-taking the community’s tax money with more than lip service—it requires a surgical approach to all things financial, and a healthy disdain for the power of a name plate.
