Thank You Merle Haggard: Saving lives with the wisdom of lyrics learned from hard living

I have a lot to thank Merle Haggard for and I’ve been thinking about them all since his death on April 6th 2016.  He had a lot of great songs, but for me the most important and my personal favorite was ‘Misery and Gin.’  I was 12 years old when I saw the movie Bronco Billy by Clint Eastwood for the first time.  It was and still is one of my favorite movies.  It hit me at just the right time in my life.  Like the Clint Eastwood character in that movie, I was socially awkward up to that point, so I could easily relate to his quirkiness.  But the tenacity for which the Bronco Billy’s character stuck to his beliefs even in spite of a changing world held a lot of appeal to me—so I watched it often.  One particular time was as a late teenager, I had just been in a serious car accident running around with friends.  The driver crashed in a manner that should have killed everyone.  I had blood running down every part of my body, and every bone hurt.  It was probably the most fun I had ever had watching a movie was that particular time.  I had taped Bronco Billy on a new VHS tape off television and enjoyed watching it when I needed a lift—and as I  breathed a sigh of relief at still being alive, the Bronco Billy message resonated intensely with me at that particular time.  And of all the good songs in that movie it was ‘Misery and Gin’ which had taught me the most about life.  Clint Eastwood wisely allowed Merle Haggard to have an extended section of the movie to sing his new song and rolled it nicely into the events of the movie—and I never forgot it.

http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/music/la-et-ms-merle-haggard-appreciation-20160407-story.html

‘Misery and Gin’ was everything that I didn’t want to be in life. It was a parody of itself, a country song that espoused all the misery that drinking, picking up loose women, and bars filled with cigarette smoke entailed.   It was an extremely honest song and was one that I decided very early on that I wanted nothing to do with relating to lifestyle choices.  It reminded me of several uncles I had who lived that life, and I thought they were losers.  It gave me more conviction to turn away from that kind of life well before I was deep into puberty—and I am thankful for it.  Regarding the night of the car accident, I was with a friend in a hot rod car after a Christmas party for the place we worked.  That friend and I had a rival relationship; we would continually outdo each other on daring deeds.  We took outlandish risks to satisfy the inner daredevil in us—such as playing high-speed chicken with cop cars, fighting the biggest bullies in whatever number they presented themselves and performing any risk of physical manner that opportunity allowed like jumping across high-rise roof tops.  We did some really crazy things that should have killed us several hundred times over—and neither of us ever backed down from anything.  But you can only push things so far.  We both had a knack for coming out on top no matter how deep in trouble we got ourselves.  I think I was around 17 at the time.

One thing I had on this friend is that he had difficulty with talking to girls and women.  I was never afraid to talk to any girl anywhere about anything.  It was very easy for me, but for him it was extremely difficult.  He could never find the right words for the right girl.  So I’d hang that over his head whenever I could.  He’d respond by showing off more to compensate for his inequity.  I had arranged for three very attractive girls to race us back to his house after this Christmas party so he was showing off in his hot rod car to do his part in impressing them.  He let them get on the highway in front of us by nearly a mile and his plan was to blow by them at over 150 MPH—to show them how fearless and how powerful his car was—because we all know that girls like that kind of thing—the naughty side of them anyway.  That’s when his angle was wrong and there was too much traffic on the road and his Chevy, Nova had too short of a wheel base to maneuver quickly in any kind of evasive action so he fishtailed wildly into a retaining wall after blowing by the girls and the car spun endlessly through the heavy traffic before going airborne then flipping end over end down the highway.  Of course we didn’t wear seat belts in those days.

Miraculously we landed with the car pinned up against a retaining wall, nose down and pieces of the car strewn all over the highway.  We were both alive and hadn’t hit any other cars somehow.  But we were all sliced up from broken glass and the violence of the impacts.  The police came and arrested my friend for reckless operation, endangerment and a whole host of other violations.  I was free to go to the hospital.  Instead, the three girls took me home and helped me get all patched up.  I put duck tape on the deep cuts to hold the skin together and applied maple syrup to clot up the blood that was still dripping everywhere.  After all that was over, I watched Bronco Billy after popping some popcorn and having a nice cold Coke.  That is when I realized that life didn’t get any better than that.  A good movie, a nice drink, and the thrill of being alive—all I needed was a nice woman to share that kind of thing with. I met my wife about 9 months later—and obviously now I live a lot like Bronco Billy did in that movie—by choice largely because I decided to after that night.  It was a little more complicated than that, but looking back, it’s pretty easy to see.

Of that movie it was actually Merle Haggard’s song ‘Misery and Gin’ which communicated strongest to me.  I decided I wanted no part of living anything like that life.  While most everyone I have known before and since find appeal to that lifestyle—it doesn’t have to be a country honky-tonk, it could be a BW3s or a nightclub—drinking and hanging out with women who have made bad decisions in their lives and living a life of perpetual misery just wasn’t something I was going to do—and I never have.  Even that night in the car, it was my love of life which was the secret ingredient that the girls liked so much and why it was so easy to get them to come along and do whatever I wanted—including patching me up.  Of course nobody understood that—but I knew it was the promise of getting away from the misery and gin lifestyle that the girls had been trained which was their ultimate fate by a society stuck to that fate by their own bad decisions.  I offered a release from that, something of a lottery ticket.  It was very appealing to both the opposite sex, and the guy friends I had who clearly wanted to be a part of it whenever possible.

I used Bronco Billy to bond with my wife.  We watched it several times a month during our early marriage and she came to understand the words of Merle Haggard very well.  Without Bronco Billy, it might have been too difficult to convey to her what kind of life I intended to live.  She wouldn’t have understood.   But the mood of the entire movie was captured so nicely in that old Merle Haggard song and I have to thank him for it.  It put my life in a positive direction very early.  Without it, I probably would have still found a way, but it might have taken me a decade or two more to figure it all out.  Because of his song, I was able to accelerate the process and apply it much more quickly than if it hadn’t of ever been made.  So I’ll miss Merle Haggard. He made my life better in a lot of ways. He was certainly one of the greats and I’ll always be thankful.  Listen to the words and maybe it will help you too.IMG_0193

Matt Clark and Rich Hoffman on WAAM Radio: Trump will be better than Ronald Reagan or Teddy Roosevelt

You might have heard the show live, but if you didn’t, you can catch it again by clicking the video below–Matt Clark had me on his WAAM radio show in Ann Arbor, Michigan essentially to defend Donald Trump’s statements about the three functions of government.  As far as I’m concerned, Milton Friedman was the advocate who last did the best work of clarifying such things for our Constitutional Republic and he defined it like this; “Government has three primary functions. It should provide for military defense of the nation. It should enforce contracts between individuals. And it should protect citizens from crimes against themselves or their property. When government– in pursuit of good intentions tries to rearrange the economy, legislate morality, or help special interests, the cost come in inefficiency, lack of motivation, and loss of freedom. Government should be a referee, not an active player.” I explained to Matt that I thought Donald Trump was trying to get to this definition under pressure, but could only manage to say “security, security, security.”  He went on to say that health care and housing were functions of government which of course erupted a controversy from the #NEVERTRUMP people.  Of course those #NEVERTRUMPs think they are the gatekeepers of conservatism, so they lashed out against Trump.  After the radio show a listener sent Matt and I a tweet reminding us that the three responsibilities of government are the duty of the Fed Gov and its officers to “preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the USA.”  So obviously there was no answer Trump could have uttered which would have pleased everyone.  Listen to that broadcast here:https://soundcloud.com/clarkcast/trumps-top-three-functions-of-the-federal-government-4-2-2016-podcast

http://www.goodreads.com/quotes/578626-government-has-three-primary-functions-it-should-provide-for-military

I personally don’t care if Trump understands Milton Friedman’s philosophy on the role of government.  As I have said previously, I don’t look for a leader in a president.  I don’t need anybody to lead me around; I just need someone to manage things in the government.  Trump I know will hire someone like Friedman to guide him once he’s in office—that’s how Trump is able to do all the things he does.  He doesn’t sit around studying constitutional law and all the details of number crunching—he hires that stuff out in his companies.  Trump relies on gut instinct after others present him with information to navigate through tribulations and his potential presidency will be unlike any other in American history—and I’m fine with that.  I see Trump as the anti-Teddy Roosevelt—as a means to undo all the trouble that the original “Rough Rider” unleashed so many years ago from the White House.

Roosevelt and his descendent Franklin brought the emerging stages of communism to America through progressivism, a movement that ironically started in Wisconsin through the labor unions.  Roosevelt didn’t understand how money was made as he was born into a wealthy family and was a second-hander who was a sickly kid.  He fought through his limits and empowered himself to be a larger than life personality who ended up on Mt. Rushmore.  His achievements were unparalleled and he turned out to be one of the great presidents.  His contributions didn’t fall neatly into conservative and liberal, but he managed to get a lot done that was both good and bad for our nation.  Teddy really started the whole trampling all over the Constitution thing showing all future presidents how to by-pass congress and do whatever they wanted without the natural checks and balances that are present for a reason.  Of course Barack Obama is the latest rendition of that original corruption over 100 years later—it’s the kind of stuff that has made the Netflix show House of Cards so compelling—because it provides insight into the kind of thinking our modern presidents utilize when dealing with Capitol Hill.  Frank Underwood is a combination of Bill Clinton, Barack Obama and even George W. Bush—but all this precedent was essentially started by Teddy Roosevelt—the path to hell is always paved with good intentions—from the point of view of whoever is doing the paving.

Watching Trump over the years he has been very successful at taking failed government projects and returning them to private sector influence—cutting costs, and shortening delivery times in the process.  He has done this kind of thing many times actually, and it is obvious to me when hearing him speak, such as the night of the CNN Town Hall talked about in the WAAM discussion, that Trump intends to return many of the tasks of government currently to the private sector.  When talking about health care—which is out of control—our national debt, our jobs, our infrastructure—just about everything really, it started with Teddy Roosevelt and his war against monopolies.  Government has stuck its nose into virtually everything since dramatically paralyzing our economic growth and overall national effectiveness.  For instance, I have said many times that the executive order that Kennedy signed making public sector jobs able to unionize is one of the largest drivers of cost that is out there consuming our national resources.  A simple recantation of that one executive order would save billions of dollars in potential financial loses and performance effectiveness.  Of course Trump can’t talk about anything like that on the campaign trail and when people try to extract specifics out of him, he certainly can’t say things like “I’d like to rescind Executive Order 11491.”  Right now, some labor unions are actually backing Trump, and they really need to—for their own good.  But when it comes time to make the hard cuts and do the job the correct way—undoing over a century of mistakes effectively by the executive branch and the congress which has eaten out of its hand like royalty, there will be a lot of angry people.

http://www.presidency.ucsb.edu/ws/index.php?pid=59075

Whoever the president is in 2016 will have to make major cuts to the way business is done in Washington while hoping that a crack team of Carl Icahn types can renegotiate trade deals around the world to keep programs like Social Security floating into a new America growth period—where the United States has GDP growth between 7% to 15%.  That is what Trump has in mind, but he certainly can’t say it to anybody—because somebody in the world will be severely pissed off at him.  There is no way to make everyone happy.  So it’s best to be obscure and to let the chips fall where they fall.  Whoever is president will face criticism that is unparalleled and I’ve only ever seen a personality like Donald Trump who could endure the pain of it.  That’s why I think only he can do the job.

The White House is a step down for Trump.  It will be hard for him to live in a box and to be under the constant scrutiny that being president will entail, and he knows that.  The guy is a deal addict, and it just so happens that the best job in the world for someone like him is POTUS.  At his age after doing everything that he’s done around the world and all the success he’s managed to acquire; only a job like POTUS poses a challenge to him.  I don’t think he wants to be a king, and I am confident that his egomaniac persona is an invention of his to provide insulation to a soft center that he lets few people see.  He promises to essentially undo what Teddy Roosevelt started using the same methods only going in the opposite direction.  I would hope that by the end of the Trump years that America would have the same opportunism that it did as a capitalist society in 1880.  1980 for my money wasn’t that great.  Reagan did dust off the hat of capitalism, but he was hardly a bastion of conservatism.  He contemplated communism for a time and most of his social positions were an act.  I would not point to Ronald Reagan with the reverence of the second coming.  He did a good job, but for me—not good enough.  Trump could do better.

But it will take a leap of faith from the American electorate to get there.  Trump is a unique opportunity that we should not pass up.  He requires us to think differently about what the POTUS means to us.  Trump I don’t think cares one bit about the pomp and circumstance of White House life.  He’s been there and done it.  I really don’t think he’ll waste time entertaining European and Canadian socialists posing for pictures to maintain an executive branch image.  Trump has all that now, he doesn’t need the White House to give it to him—and that makes me trust him even more.  I think a Trump White House will be the hardest working in history.  Everyone can say what they want about Trump’s conservatism, but prior to Wisconsin, being down ten points to Ted Cruz, Trump did seven rallies over three days there trying to win.  The guy works his ass off, and I’m certain that he will put in 12 to 15 hour days in the Oval Office seven days a week.  I really don’t think we’ve ever seen anybody like Trump even trying to get into the White House.  He will work hard and he’ll hire the best people that’s out there to fill the details of what he needs.  So as I said on Matt’s show, I don’t care if Trump knew by definition the three functions of government.  He was close enough—it’s all about security of individuals and their property—from either foreign or domestic enemies.  He passes my test—everything else is a formality.  I’m ready for a Trump White House because I don’t think we can afford anything less.  The next POTUS has to have the courage and personality to undo all these progressive mistakes and it has to happen now.  We are beyond second chances.  Really, it’s already too late.  Trump is the only hope we have.  Argue with me now—that’s fine.  But I really don’t want everyone to tell me twenty years from now that they should have listened to me.  Because by then it will be too late—and I will have been right—of course.  Listen now, save your nation, tell me later that I was right—cry at your country’s funeral.  Watch the videos above for full context.

‘Pee Wee’s Big Holiday’: We have a lot to thank Paul Reuben for–see it on Netflix

This might seem strange to some, but I love the concept of Pee Wee Herman.  It was quite a lot of fun for me to watch the first Pee Wee film in over twenty years on Netflix called Pee Wee’s Big Holiday.  It’s an exclusive for Netflix but has shown in a few theaters across the nation.  Pee Wee to me is such a wonderful character.  I get a lot of joy out of watching Paul Reuben play an adult who essentially never entered puberty.  His Pee Wee character is a fantasy look into what we all might look like if we never stopped being children—which most of the time I think is a shame—that we all do grow up.  I can say that my first daughter was literally born while watching Pee Wee’s Playhouse at the hospital in 1989, which my wife and I never missed together.  We looked forward to every Saturday so we could watch it together.  During that particular episode she laughed really hard.  There were no doctors in the room at the time as they were waiting for her to dilate, and my daughter was born.  I actually had to hold my daughter’s head to keep her from falling out into that little bag that is supposed to capture all the afterbirth.  Ironically it was that same daughter who was doing a photo shoot of me and we were finished for the day and had a rare afternoon together with only me, my daughter and my wife all in the same place when I noticed a Hollywood Reporter article about the new Pee Wee movie. So we sat down and literally watched it the moment that Netflix put it on their site.  It was one of the rare joys I have had in a number of years, I simply loved it!

I suppose this little proclamation requires a back story.  It has become a consistent observation that when a major social character who has the public eye out-lives the requirements of whatever system they are a part of, strange stories emerge to destroy their careers.  For instance, when Brett Favre was having a hard time retiring from professional football, stories about him sending pictures of his penis to females emerged to force him into retirement following a scandal to knock him off his pedestal.  Payton Manning was going through something similar; he was on the fence as to whether or not to retire when a story emerged from his college days attacking his squeaky clean image with sexual imposition.  The clear message to Payton was, “get out while you are on top so we don’t have to tear you down.”  The college story which had been kept under wraps for over two decades was a warning shot, and Payton wisely listened.  Paul Reuben had dominated 1980s comedy during a vibrant Reagan era and had outlived his shelf life.  This will just let you examine how much things have changed in just a few decades dear reader.

After the movie that essentially got Tim Burton his big directorial break, Pee Wee’s Big Adventure came out in 1985 both Paul Reuben and Tim Burton launched themselves into successful careers that were wildly imaginative—and boyishly playful.  Reuben from 1986 to 1990 did a children’s show on Saturday mornings called Pee Wee’s Playhouse which featured Laurence Fishburne and many others on the smash hit—which was the show that my first daughter was born to.  In 1991 Paul Reuben was noticed by a sting officer masturbating at an adult movie theater and was arrested.  Paul Reuben offered to do a charity spot for the local police to make the whole incident “go away” but the press got a hold of the story and it essentially destroyed the career of Reuben and his Pee Wee character thereafter.

Toys “R” Us dropped the Pee Wee Herman toy line and CBS stopped airing immediately Pee Wee’s Play House and the character was effectively wiped off the map. Within months Paul Reuben was forced into hiding disgraced.  Of course over the next ten years as the Clinton’s moved into the White House that same media effectively destroyed the office of president by letting out all the sexually charged secrets of Bill and Hillary Clinton.  By the end of the 1990s masturbation in a movie theater was the least of our worries and with the advent of the Internet and home video markets, pornography exploded into virtually every home.  Masturbation was normalized and no longer taboo—in fact it was encouraged by teachers of progressive society. If Paul Reuben had been arrested just five years later, his story would have died before it ever got started, but forever after Pee Wee Herman had been established as a pervert dangerous to children.

Boldly Reuben appeared in Batman Returns which of course was one of the original superhero films that launched this modern era we see today from Warner Bros and Disney. Tim Burton loyal to Reuben because of their friendship from the set of Pee Wee’s Big Adventure cast the actor to play the father of the villain “The Penguin.”  Ironically on the modern television show Gothem, Reuben reprised his role from that 1992 film playing the father of the modern Penguin.  One thing that I greatly admire about Reuben is that he has been very tenacious—he has stuck around and fought his way through obvious discrimination to make a living for himself—even though the parts offered to him were greatly limited ever since that original arrest.  Reuben tried for years to get his Pee Wee character up off the mat and back out into the media world and he just couldn’t get any takers.  Nobody would touch it.

However, in 2015 because of the wild success of video streaming to give Hollywood a run for its money in production values, Netflix announced that they would take on the Pee Wee character once again giving Reuben a second chance.  They shot the short picture which I’d call essentially a remake of Pee Wee’s Big Adventure—only without all the special effects—and it was released in 2016 as an exclusive on Netflix.  So I was quite proud to be one of the first to sit down and watch it.  I have not laughed that hard in a long time.  Even at 63 years old Reuben played the eternally youthful Pee Wee perfectly.  It was a wonderfully innocent film full of fun and laughs.

There is nothing wrong with looking at the human species and criticizing its evolution—we have minds and were meant to think and question the nature of things.  Saying that, I think it’s a mistake to surrender our innocence as children to the barrage of hormonal ineptitude that we find after puberty—where biology takes over and we become a sexually based species.  I can’t help but think that this world would be so much better if we just took sex out of it and could interact with each other the way children do—innocently and full of inquisitive playfulness.  For context, I approach everything I do in life with playful optimism.  I just steered a multimillion dollar project to completion using a playful approach that kept everyone’s creative juices flowing without pretension through a very hard project with lots of technical complications.  So I clearly understand the benefit of Pee Wee Herman as a cultural character in our complex society and there is something very important about him—which was an invention of Paul Reuben.  We should all thank him for his philosophic contributions to the essence of our very foundations as human beings.

If you get a chance to watch Pee Wee’s Big Holiday, you should do it!  Its great fun, wildly original—and innocent.  I don’t think there was one sexually provocative innuendo within the entire story.  It was very much the kind of movie a 6-year-old child would have made, and I mean that as a compliment.  I wish more youthful innocence would find its way into the adult consciousness because when I look around at my contemporaries I see defeated people—people who gave up their childhoods and retreated into biological entities of procreation and easy marketing for product placement.  What Reuben has done with his Pee Wee character is very hard—he has maintained a youthful playfulness that most people lose at age 11 and kept touch with it well into his 60s.  And I admire him for it.  Now, if you don’t mind “I’m going to let you let me leave.”

The Paradox of Metrosexual Conservatism: Traditional roles between men and women mean more than historic reference

I know this may not sound very enlightened based on the progressive atmosphere of today’s “man,” but I am substantially sick of friends of mine—who are like Ted Cruz—and have adopted a metrosexual lifestyle–then declared that Donald Trump and his supporters are not “conservative.”  To my view—and this is fine if someone so chooses–I have many family members who fall in this category that I like a lot, but in our family my wife and I are very traditional, and we made a conscious decision to be that way—if the man shares in the domestic duties like cooking, laundry, diaper changing and other tasks of a similar nature—I would not call those people conservative.  I would call them modern, and diminished as to their masculinity. (For context to this viewpoint, CLICK HERE to read a more scientific explanation to the biological roles that the sexes play with each other within a household.)  Participants to this “modern” view of household roles certainly isn’t to my mind conservative.  A lot of women don’t have a choice but to do everything in this modern world—that is because men have become so terribly lazy and lackluster.  It’s not the fault of women.  But nevertheless, men who call themselves “conservative” while they ride the coat-tails of their wives careers are not caretakers of conservatism by my definition.  Modern politics may give them a free pass—but I don’t.

I say that knowing such viewpoints are considered outdated these days. Believe me, my regard for the household chores that are burdened by a man gives them far more personal weight to carry than women should have to endure—it’s not like men should sit around being couch potatoes being served by the women like maids.  I expect men to be gentlemen, to help hold the door open for women wherever they are, to treat them with the utmost respect like the vessels of life that they are—and to put their lives and importance before any man’s personal comfort.  Progressives would call that view “old fashioned.” I would say that they are idiots to criticize that formula which evolved out of biological and psychological necessity.

In that context, and I’m not going to embarrass him with calling him out, because he’s certainly not alone in this thinking, but one of the most national critics that I know of Donald Trump who is on the radio broadcasting support for Ted Cruz is a guy who has a wife with a far more prestigious job than he has, makes a lot more money, and she relies on him to share many of the household chores so they are done when she gets home from work.  I know this because he’s a friend of mine.  Just like Ted Cruz—that friend is failing in his conservatism because he has adopted in his life a progressive metrosexual lifestyle that is not becoming of tradition.  He has no right to point to Donald Trump—who does have similar views about conservatism and family life as I do—and says that he as a candidate is not a conservative.  In his family life, Donald Trump is far more conservative than Ted Cruz—if we are basing conservatism on traditional values—not progressive manipulation of family lifestyles.

I do not fault people who make these types of arrangements within their marriages—it’s their choice.  But I do judge them as lacking conservatism.  There was a lot about the old stereotypes about breadwinners and domestic tasks for women that helped tag team successful family growth that has been thrown out due to progressive marketing within our country, which should be revisited regarding conservative philosophy.  I’ve been married for over a quarter century and honestly I don’t think marriages can last without a proper division of labor specified toward the roles of the sexes.  Women are built through estrogen to project a certain level of sign stimuli to be appealing to the opposite sex, and domestic tasks achieved are part of that femininity. Men are built through testosterone to endure physical challenges that don’t always require great intellect, but will make them sweat and project masculinity—which females are biologically inclined to find appealing.  It is quite natural for a woman to watch a man chopping wood in the yard from the kitchen window then desire to take him a cool refreshment to get a whiff of his sweaty masculinity.  Men find such odors disgusting, but women enjoy them for reasons of mating customs.  When we change those rhythms with the family unit we change the nature of philosophy for which human society is built.  That is not a good thing when what did work produced many of the positive gains our culture has enjoyed for the last several thousand years.

Of course there is a reason that progressives advocate homosexual rights, just as they have attached themselves to the feminist movement.   They have always been after the destruction of the family unit—by feminizing men and encouraging masculine women so that the barriers to primal mating customs could be destroyed and conservative traditions eradicated.  The strategic necessity in this endeavor has of course been to turn family control over to the state and pave the way for National Socialism.  Given the popularity of the presidential candidate Bernie Sanders—we can see how effective that marketing has been.

When men try to tell me that my ideas about families and the relationship between men and women is outdated—I feel sorry for them, because they are in denial.  They will point at their successful dual income lives and declare themselves victors of economic achievement.  But they often lack the types of deep love and understanding that our grandparents knew when men were men, women were women, and everyone knew what their family and social roles were—before progressive tampering with biological natures.  A lot of the mess we see today can be directly attributed to this condition. Women have been told that they have to be everything to everyone—but most of all, that they must make personal sacrifices for the good of all women and their social obligations as a village.  That is why so many women are willing to vote for Hillary Clinton in spite of her terrible record and obvious dishonesty.  This is also why Donald Trump’s numbers are so low among women—because instinctively they come to each other’s collective aid when they sense another is in trouble—like the banter between Trump and Cruz over who was more attractive, Heidi Cruz or Melania Trump.  When that didn’t work out so well for Cruz, he proclaimed that Trump didn’t like “strong” women—which he insinuated means a career driven maniac who has put her career before her family for the benefit of what she believes is important.  The insinuation also was that Melania Trump was a bimbo of some sort because she’s pretty and has decided to be a happy housewife—and to withdraw from collective feminism.  Melania in her own right had a successful modeling career and she had done well with a jewelry line as an entrepreneur.  But when given an option to have a life for “herself” or to stay home with her son Barron and raise him properly, she picked service to her family over service to collective society—and that is looked down upon by most women who have been trained to think that these feminist arguments about “self reliance” from a “man” was actually good for them.  And to the men who have married such women and taken a “progressive” role in their own families—they often find themelves miserable or divorced before it’s all said and done.

I often love talking to old people, because to the 70-year-old couple who have survived a 50 year marriage and has 20 grandchildren and 5 or 6 great-grandchildren, they have lost their estrogen and their testosterone and are as equal within the sexes that human beings can truly be.  But they still play out their roles within the family for the psychological maintenance of their children and grandchildren.  The man might work out in a tool shed carving wood while the woman works at being experts in the kitchen.  Of course the man could learn to cook and could rival any woman, and the woman could learn to carve wood and mow the grass.   But successful marriages learn what works and how they can use their sexual roles to bond their families to an idea of conservatism for which the family can last through the ages.

So I find it preposterous that Ted Cruz feels inclined to lecture Donald Trump on the family roles of his wife—because Trump does not have“enlightened” outlook feminism.  Cruz obviously does, and so do many men that I know who have confused themselves by thinking that mixing up the sexual roles of family business is somehow considered “conservative.”  I can think of about ten men right now who are either national figures speaking out against Trump in favor of Cruz or they are just local business associates who share with their wives the tasks of cooking, cleaning and bread winning—and they are all either divorced at some point in their lives, or they are miserable and secretly hate their wives. The wives secretly know this so to keep the marriage together for their children they occasionally let their men go to Vegas to blow off some steam and make fools of themselves.  The women giggle at Pure Romance parties and watch chick flicks together and these idiots think that behavior is rooted in conservatism and will produce a successful family existence.  They are mistaken.

Trump is the first presidential candidate in my lifetime that has not backed down from this issue.  If he thinks someone looks like a radicalized feminist—he chews into them the same way as he would a man—and that is equal treatment.  If women want to play with the boys, that’s the way it goes.  But in his family life, he is very traditional—at least by today’s standards.  I would argue that Trump is much, much more conservative than Glenn Beck, Ted Cruz and all the writers at the Weekly Standard, The Wall Street Journal, and at Fox News.  The men who have given in to this progressive feminist push for equality without the consequences of being dominated by an A Type male—have to justify their failure somehow.  These metrosexual conservatives play the same games feminists do, they say that Trump is not a conservative in the way that women have been told that they need to have an “independent” life by service to collectivism.  And that just isn’t how the situation is in actuality.  Ted Cruz and his supporters have become feminized and tricked into thinking they are still conservatives.  But they are not.  Sometimes being “enlightened” isn’t a great.  Tell that to the bug that reached for the light only to be incinerated by a bug zapper.  The human race is doing the same thing to itself—and it’s not very becoming.  Putting up with people who have consciously made all the wrong decisions in their life is one thing—but being lectured by them is something else.   And I really don’t want to hear Ted Cruz with his little Kermit the Frog voice lecture me about “strong women” when he obviously has issues in his marriage.  Save it for counseling—but don’t pretend that the insane behavior is a pinnacle of conservatism.  All it really is, is embarrassing.

Why You Should Not Vote For Ted Cruz: “Take over the world, rich, powerful, that sort of stuff” while building a North American “community”

Up until really the National Enquirer article I was not adamant that Ted Cruz should not be the presidential nominee.  But after hearing him get the endorsements of people like Lindsey Graham, Jeb Bush, and after Cruz actually hired a Bush to work in his campaign, then witnessing all the dirty tricks that Ted played before Donald Trump hit back—like the hit piece on Melania—I have decided that under no circumstances am I going to support any sitting politicians for President. If someone holds a political position now or ever—I will not vote for them in the upcoming election.  The political establishment is doing everything it can to protect itself from a rebellion they created because of their mass incompetence and dysfunction—and watching their behavior has made me sick of the process.  I don’t believe any of them.   It is obvious to me, and I’m hardly one who falls for disillusion and fantasy.  Yet I have many friends, several who make livings thinking about this kind of stuff—some who actually work for Glenn Beck—who say they won’t vote for Donald Trump because he’s not a conservative.  Well, I think Trump is a conservative in a very liberal part of the country.  He may not be Montana conservative, but he is certainly bold enough to call himself a Republican in the very blue state of New York.  People can argue and debate all they want, but Trump has a wealth building track record that you can see and touch.  Cruz does not.  Instead you get conspiratorial information about Ted Cruz when you do a little digging—and it’s not good—like the following videos. Watch them all then decide if you really believe that Ted Cruz is what he says he is.

If there was anything I liked about Ted Cruz it was during his filibuster speech in front of the Senate where he mentioned Ayn Rand.  Like Paul Ryan he claims to be a fan—which gave me hope for both of them really.  But then again, so was Glenn Beck—and all those people have missed the point she was trying to make.  Ted Cruz is no closer to living in the world of Galt’s Gulch than Jessie Jackson and now that he is being pressed as one of two front runners—his story is breaking down.  This is why we have a long primary season and why running for president is so difficult.  Everyone has to be vetted and we need to see how these people act when they start sweating.  Cruz has not done well.  Even if he didn’t cheat on his wife with five women—he didn’t do a very good job of stepping out in front of the story.  His body language was obviously implicating him behind the tough talk.  He came across to me like the kid seen in the below video who blamed Donald Trump for putting teeth marks in a chair.  Trump because he is the political outsider—is a convenient punching bag—and Cruz’s team uses dirty tricks too much against him in a passive aggressive manner.  They played dirty with Ben Carson, and several others as well.  Then when they tried to appeal to Mormons in Utah with Holy-roller ads using a naked Melania to smear Trump, it was obvious to me that when pressed as a possible president, Cruz would behave in the same fashion.

Of course Cruz wants to debate Trump one on one—it is his strongest aptitude.  Trump would be crazy to fall for the invite—to give a competitor a chance by playing to his strength.  That is not how you win competitions conservatives—you must exploit the weaknesses of your rival—you don’t prop them up.  Cruz is a great debater on policy and all the things that politicians talk about.  But what has he done in his life that says he could do anything but talk?  We’ve heard the talk before and look where it’s gotten us.  No, we need now a man of action and I don’t think there is a single one in public office these days within the Washington D.C. culture who can do the job of president.  There are a few here and there around the country that gives me hope for the republic, but not enough to matter at the federal level yet.  We are in a gunless rebellion right now.  Instead of casualties and collateral damage we are seeing people lose or gain their careers.  That you could say is a more humane way of dealing with insurgents who have failed at their jobs of running the country—and they neurotically respond as if they’d rather die than just lose a social status.  But this rebellion has to happen.  We either take back our country through an election or we do it with some militia organized force—but things cannot continue as they have.  And what I’ve seen out of Ted Cruz is that he’s part of the system—not fighting against it.  Even if Cruz did love the novel Atlas Shrugged—being married to the spouse that he has now would prevent him from acting philosophically from it—which makes him no more effective in government than one of the Bush presidents or the worthless senators like Graham.

Then there was Cruz’s little speech about strong women as he defended his wife Heidi from the wrath of Donald Trump after Ted threw the first punch.    Not that women have to be barefoot and pregnant, and must spend all their time in the kitchen caring for their families to have value, but Cruz did not sound very conservative to me.  There is this whole metrosexual revolution of men who do cooking for their wives and share in the domestic tasks like doing laundry that are derived from the whole progressive push to make everyone equal, and Cruz like a lot of men are a part of it.  In human society the only real differences between men and women are those regarding the sexual roles—that really is it.  If we all placed our brains on a table and took away all the physicality, only then would we truly be equal.  But with physical bodies, we have roles on earth that point straight into the bedroom.  For instance, most women like to take the submissive role in sex, and therefore, they like to pamper their men with domestic obligations—but only if that man has went out into the world and conquered it in some fashion—with either a big paycheck, or in protecting the family from some disturbance.  Men and women must respect each other, but the roles they play in their family life are like foreplay to what happens in the bedroom.  In the most biologically primal fashion that directly leads to a happy sex life, women like to know that a man is changing the tire on the family car and the man likes to see his woman cooking the dinner he worked so hard to put on the table.  That respect leads to a healthy sex life of mutual fulfillment.  In this modern age of high divorce rates and mousey men who share all the cooking and laundry duties with their wives—they don’t understand why the women in their lives don’t want to plop up on the hood of their car in their garage and have spontaneous sex.  It is because the women don’t respect men who endorse all those beta male attributes.  Of course there are exceptions—and some people make it work through sheer will—but biologically we are all wired the same way through our physical bodies—and so long as we live on earth together—those rules apply to everything we do.  Trump understands those rules—Cruz certainly doesn’t and you can see it on Heidi’s face—she is suffering.  Most women in Heidi’s position use career to substitute the closeness they lack with their husbands.  These days’ women have been taught from little girls that this progressive method is the way they must conduct their lives—so they usually enter marriage confused as to their roles within the family.  But just a note to men in general, if you have to get your wife drunk to want to have sex, you are screwing up your romantic life with her.  Men in that situation need to change things for the benefit of the woman.  Society won’t acknowledge this problem, but it’s quite obvious—and it is destroying an entire generation of relationships.  Ted Cruz came out in his chastisement of Donald Trump sounding like a silly soccer dad justifying his own personal failures—and it was certainly pathetic.  It wasn’t presidential, and it certainly wasn’t “conservative.”

That of course brings us back to Donald Trump and the Cruz supporters who declare that the New York billionaire isn’t a conservative.  Trump is rich and he didn’t get that way giving away money.  He has a happy housewife at home taking care of his family.  Trump is pro gun, pro border security, against Common Core, and favors lowering taxes with an aggressive plan that might actually work.  He is decisive and a natural leader and never backs down from a fight.  What’s not to like?  And he has a track record of accomplishment both good and bad–we can see what we are buying with him.  With Cruz, who says he’s the ultimate conservative—what do we really know?  Because when you peek under the hood there is a lot not to like—he’s underpowered, feminized, and all talk.  The holes in Cruz are showing.  If he’s a true conservative then we are in a lot of trouble.  Because he does a lot of things and holds positions that are quite contrary to true conservatism—and you can see that in his campaign.  And now that too much has been said, there is no going back for me.  If the Republican Party does not embrace Donald Trump I’m done with them.  If there is anybody but a pure independent from the political establishment in the White House—then I’m done with the process and will turn from elections into Sam Adams.  Look people, I’m not a Constitutionalist—I think the Hamilton version of the founding documents was entirely too liberal.  I’m an Anti-Federalist by that old definition and if there is movement in the Constitution—it won’t be more toward a socialist state like Obama presents as an option—it will be further to the right—the way that Thomas Jefferson always intended.  Because only in that manner can we get to what we were supposed to always be in America—and Trump is the means to get there.  Cruz is just more of the same.  We don’t need another scandalous preacher from the White House.  We need someone who knows how to manage others—something no politician has shown me they are able to do—because they just don’t have the skill set to accomplish the task.  Ted Cruz has been nothing but a public servant his whole life.  He’s hardly an outsider.  He’s simply sold himself that way—and I’m not buying—under any condition.  The Glenn Beck types are wrong.  They need to go back and re-read Atlas Shrugged.  Cruz isn’t any of the characters in Atlantis.  He’s at the table with Wesley Mouch.  Actually, Ted’s wife is—while the presidential candidate is doing the dishes.

America Needs to Abandon the United Nations: Donald Trump’s AIPAC speech and a short history freedom’s experiment

It was the type of speech that made you want to stand up and cheer within your own home, and I did.  It was just my wife and I but it felt so good for somebody in politics to finally say it.  Donald Trump while speaking at the AIPAC Policy Conference in Washington DC on March 21st 2016 trashed the United Nations especially in reference to enforcing safety for the nation of Israel.  I have been saying for years that the United States should withdraw support of the United Nations because of the lack of personal sovereignty that it intends to apply toward our own history—and given the amount of financial resources that America provides just to keep that token government operating with any kind of authority—it is clear that the UN has not appreciated it, and it has instead embolden them to believe that they are equal to the United States in global respect.

Most of the countries within the United Nations are functioning from a position of socialist or communist economic systems and thus bring very little to the table regarding financial input leaving the United States alone in providing the foundation that the entire concept rests upon.  Without America, there would be no United Nations and many believe as I do—that Roosevelt and Wilson should have left the whole concept alone and listened to the electorate way back to the two World Wars and stayed out of European affairs and their reckless warlike escapades.  The United Nations does very little good for anybody and has become a giant wealth distribution scam mainly consuming the resources of America just to survive.

You might remember dear reader the anger I felt when comic book writers proposed that Superman was going to give up his citizenship to fight for the United Nations instead of American ideals such as “truth, justice, and the American way.”  Progressive artists of the new 21st century had decided that Superman needed to be more global and that the new fight for planetary survival needed to focus on the United Nations—as if that would be our next governmental body.  I have additionally said often that the Clintons were positioning themselves to be leaders with the United Nations ushering in a new era of global government led by the socialist participants at the UN who shared membership with Socialist International.  There have been attempts by the United Nations—such as Agenda 21 to impose themselves into American sovereignty with crazy ideas like how to steer communities back into urban environments, degrading the value of private property through increased taxation, and imposing the will of the ‘state’ into the families of our youth through multiple methods, both at home and within their public educations.  The United Nations has been a joke and I urged over six years ago my congressional representative, John Boehner to withdraw American support to teach those presumptuous European aristocrats that without us, they’d be nothing—to learn their place in the global marketplace to position us for a better deal, and more sovereign respect.  I’m all for helping the world so long as they copy America and our system of capitalism.  To weaken American interests so to prop up socialist and communist nations has never been an option to me.

There are essentially three phases which defined the concept of American freedom.   The first was of course the democratic invention of a pirate republic as established between the years of 1650 and 1710.  For really the first time in known history people threw off the cloak of state ownership and declared themselves a free people as they made the hard decision to become pirates.  There was a lot of debauchery that took place, and a lot of blood spilled, but the concept of pirating as it evolved in Port Royal, Jamaica caught the eye of John Locke who wrote down his thoughts which later inspired Thomas Paine and many others to break from England during the American Revolution.  Without the Pirates of the Caribbean—literally, there would have never been a Declaration of Independence.  Pirates had shown the colonists how a free country of sovereign citizens might throw off the tyranny of a king for the opportunity to live as a free people.

Of course the Revolution in America was the result of much contemplation within Scotland and other Illuminati circles that were going philosophically down a path for which the world would never be the same.  Ben Franklin in particular, along with Thomas Jefferson drove much of that European contemplation into the new world to fan the flames of rebellion toward a free republic.  It was hard for many to take up arms against the king of England but the result was a free nation in the New World.  Once the smoke cleared and the frontier opened up mankind for the first time could look West and carve a life out for themselves using a method of economy called capitalism as communicated by Adam Smith into settling a rough frontier and allowing the best of them to become gloriously wealthy—proving the new economic theory to be more than justified by actuality.  But first the European concept of slavery had to be ended and it was by the mid—1800s. Within America a war was fought and the slaves were freed—another first on the world stage.  Only in America could a European inheritance such as slavery be eliminated with an emphasis on freedom for all people no matter what race or sex they might be.

Once the war was fought and the slaves were free the West opened up into what is my favorite period—westward expansion.  The period of the Old West was a time where government was smallest, but the foundations of capitalism were running at its fullest—and the wealth created by this period essentially pushed up the skyscrapers of Manhattan and Chicago as railroads brought back great wealth from the West to the East.  The concept of the frontiersman is a defining element of American capitalism.  Most people failed, and many died of disease and personal misery—but a few managed to give rise to a nation on the backs of individual effort.  The California Gold Rush fueled our young country with great wealth that made it the envy of the world—and it all occurred because individual people were empowered to carve out a life for themselves on the open land of the West if they dared.  It wasn’t always pretty, but it was effective and is something to be very proud of as a period of adventure and honor which evolved on the backs of the American Cowboy.

The Roaring Twenties happened when the great president Calvin Coolidge promoted capitalism with great audacity and massive amounts of wealth generated from this entire American endeavor lifted up all members of society for the first time in human history—even the extreme poor benefited.  Average people everywhere were living the kinds of lives that nobody on earth had thought possible just twenty years prior.   Common people had access to food, jobs, and shelter as the spillover of capitalism from the very top provided a new security for everyone within the American experience.  Several World Wars and other global wars against communism would take place in the years thereafter which were ultimately endeavored upon as a means to share the wealth of capitalism into countries drowning in communism—like Vietnam, Korea, China, Central America, Cuba, Mexico—and so on.

Then the audacious United Nations came in on the tail of all this work done in America—and all the blood spilled on behalf of endeavoring for personal freedom and assumed that it was their role to take control of all this activity and make the world into a melting pot of progressive value—ignoring the hard gains won in America for personal sovereignty—which was extremely disingenuous. Their version of a global government is a socialist one—and they are insisting that America give up its capitalism and embrace socialism so that they can more adequately manage us.  So my hatred of the United Nations isn’t just some flimsy conspiracy theory—it is rooted in a firm knowledge of history and understanding how difficult it was for America to arrive at this point in time.  It is also an awareness of how valuable it was for people within America to reach the kind of freedom that we have as a human rights endeavor.  Americans are the masters of freedom and human rights—nobody else on earth has done as much as we have to make people free—and equal.  People in America are equally allowed to reach as far as they dare.  There is nothing to say that the journey will be easy—but they are free to reach no matter who they are—and that is something very special.  So how dare the United Nations assume otherwise—and they have.  That is why it was so refreshing to hear Donald Trump say what he did on such a large stage.  If that is a hint into what kind of president he’ll be—he should win in a landslide!  If I was a fan of his before—I am even more so now.

The Addict John Kasich: Begging for money like a derelict one last time

If you ever wanted a way to explain to your kids why they should never do drugs, just point them in the direction of the Kasich presidential campaign.  It always comes up if you dig deep enough; illegal drugs are a terrible aspect of modern culture—especially in Ohio.  If there is one reason to despise illegal immigration, it is because of the horrendous effect that narcotics passing into our country hidden within that act entails—drugs turn good people into bad every time—without fail.  Now based on his behavior it would appear that John Kasich has become a serious drug addict.  What he is saying and doing makes no sense—he is delusional.  The day after the Super Tuesday presidential results where Donald Trump won five American territories and lost only one to John Kasich—Kasich complete with a confetti style victory party had his team put together this video.

Uuuuuuh, we are halfway through the election of more than fifty American territories who produce electoral votes and Governor Kasich of Ohio has only won one state with a measly 66 delegates—and that was Ohio on March 15th.  For him and really everyone else the election is already over except by defying the will of the American voter who has supported the Republican Party.  There is no other way for this election to end for Kasich other than a concession speech.  Yet, Kasich and his people sent me this email looking for money just two days from a miserable showing on Super Tuesday where he barely even stacked up any votes in most of the states—except for Ohio.  Nobody in their right mind—who has any money to speak of—would dump money into Kasich—these are supposed to be smart people.  But this email clearly shows the rationality of a crack addict looking for just one more hit before plunging themselves into bankruptcy.

Rich, want to defeat Hillary Clinton and win the White House? Only John Kasich can do it.

Gov. John Kasich is the ONLY Republican polls show can defeat her in three critical swing states: Ohio, Pennsylvania and New Hampshire.

Following our big Ohio win, we’re now focused on collecting delegates in Utah (will caucus on Tuesday) and the other major upcoming states like Wisconsin, New York, Pennsylvania and many others.

We will go into the convention with more momentum than any other candidate.

Governor Kasich will be our nominee because he is the only candidate who can do the job of President and the only Republican who can WIN.

It’s critical that we continue to build on our momentum!

Chip in $25 or more right now to ensure we win the nomination.

Rich – not only will we continue to gain momentum before the convention but we’ll unify our party and defeat Hillary Clinton this fall.

We have an 8-point lead over Hillary nationally and would defeat her in Ohio by 21 points!

Our positive message is working and it’s gaining more attention every day.

Trump and Cruz are terrified to face Gov. John Kasich in the GOP convention. Here’s why:
Politico released a survey where 45% of respondents said that John Kasich is the best Republican candidate to go on and defeat Hillary Clinton this fall. Kasich finishes 12-points ahead of Cruz and a whopping 23-points ahead of Trump!
While the other candidates have run campaigns that divide us, Gov. Kasich is the lone candidate who’s run a positive campaign focused on working together to solve our greatest challenges with real, achievable solutions.
Utah will caucus on Tuesday and Wisconsin voters will head to the polls on April 5th. We need your ongoing support to ensure that we can keep growing on our momentum from the big win in Ohio.
We WILL stop Trump from getting the nomination and we WILL win at the convention – and then we’ll go on to defeat Hillary this fall and begin the hard work of fixing America, together.

Onward to victory,

John Weaver

Chief Strategist

JohnKasich.com

That guy should be fired if he is the chief strategist for Kasich—and Kasich needs to enter re-hab immediately for signing off on it.  To even talk about going to a convention with the most momentum at this point is insanely stupid.  I know area Republicans are having a hard time with the Donald Trump eventual nomination because it will completely change the way they do business inside the Beltway–Lobby money for politicians is like heroin or cocaine is to a drug addict—for the sake of the American Republic—the practice has to end.  Politicians have not done the job correctly for two centuries, and American voters are pulling the plug on them—especially people like John Kasich.  How any Republican within the party leadership could look at the loser and conclude that he should be taking a victory lap after winning Ohio is just delusional—and it’s no wonder that so many people support Donald Trump.

We all speculate on how bad the “political class” really is, and have great fun making light of their efforts. But up until recently we didn’t have any alternative.  Trump gives us an alternative.  Cruz is too rigid for the job, and he is clinging on for dear life, legitimately.  He doesn’t do well in most of the states that are coming up–especially California and New York and now Lindsey Graham is actually joining sides with the hated senator for the sheer preservation of their Beltway addictions.  But Kasich hasn’t really been on the radar but in a few very progressive states who only vote for him because he’s like voting for a Democrat.  Everywhere else, he has bombed badly.

That can only lead us to believe that he has lost his sanity.  And he, along with many establishment Republicans have surrendered their logic to the gullibility of addiction.  They share with the most despicable of our national citizens a love for illusion conjured up by drug use.  Addiction to lobbyist entitlements to the brain of the consumer is no different essentially than a line of cocaine—because the result is the same—avoidance of reality, artificial stimulation of the present circumstances, and undeniable escape from the conditions of one’s environment. John Kasich and his team have shown that they are no different than the scum bag drug addict who would sell their children into the hands of villains just to feel the rush of their drug of choice one last time.  My answer to them is no different than if a homeless person missing all their teeth and wearing tattered clothing draped from their arms asked me for a few dollars in downtown Cincinnati.  You know by giving them money that they are only going to turn around and buy a bottle of alcohol or a hit of crack—that’s usually why they are in the situation that they are—because they made bad decisions based on a reality they couldn’t come to terms with.  And that is certainly the situation with John Kasich.  He has lost his mind in addition to losing the election during the presidential primary.  Now it forces us to do the hard thing—and that is to starve him out for his own good.  He has embarrassed us enough in Ohio.  Now it’s time to turn off the money—I certainly won’t be giving him any.

If You Voted for John Kasich in Ohio–You’re an Idiot: George Soros gave over $200,000 to the establishment Governor

If you voted in Oho for John Kasich—you are an absolute idiot.  If you have not yet voted, there is still time to save you.  Kasich is one of the most progressive politicians in both parties.   He is closer to Bernie Sanders socialism than he is to Hillary Clinton politics and the proof is in this–George Soros—the extreme leftist billionaire who seeks to sink America as a sovereign country and convert the nation into a socialist utopia gave over $200,000 to Kasich’s campaign to help him in Ohio.  That and only that disqualifies him to even run as a Republican.  If you want many more reasons why not to vote for Kasich CLICK HERE TO REVIEW.  But any support from George Soros is a shot at anyone who considers themselves “conservative.”

John Kasich is a Functioning Democrat: Read the facts by Chris Littleton before being tricked into voting for the Ohio Governor

Chris Littleton is an old friend of mine who left Ohio essentially because he knew too much about the trouble John Kasich was putting the state through as governor.  He has written an excellent article about why you should not vote for Governor Kasich on March 15 2016 that is so well written—and detailed that I must offer it to last-minute voters ahead of the primary election across the state.  Chris wrote the article as a warning, and as many people as possible should see it.  I’ve included the link at the end of the text portion seen below which has some wonderful supporting data to go along with it—Chris has always been, and continues to be very thorough.  So, I’d suggest that you visit Littleton’s site to get the whole picture.  Essentially, Chris was an insider who worked closely in Columbus with key Republican members to acquire this information.  He became increasingly frustrated with Kasich as time went on and eventually moved to Tennessee because he didn’t want to watch the state die a slow economic death.  All the statistics that Kasich has been citing as evidence of his great governance are false—conjured up with borrowed time.  Kasich is a functioning Democrat and is a menace to anything involving a check book.  There is no wonder he worked so well with Bill Clinton during the 90s—because he is essentially by philosophic affiliation—just like him.  Kasich should not be running for the Republican nomination for President of the United States.  He should be running against Hillary Clinton for the Democratic opportunity instead.  Kasich is NOT, a conservative.  I know it first-hand, Chris has provided the facts, and the GOP has tied itself to a sinking ship democrat as the leader of their party in Ohio—which is a gigantic mistake.  Here is the precise supplemental material as provided by Chris Littleton.

Why Conservative Ohioans oppose John Kaisch

By  Chris Littleton

As someone who was deeply involved in the Republican and conservative political scene in Ohio for many of the Kasich years, I want to shed some light on John Kasich’s history as Governor. It’s important to note that not a single item below is my opinion. This is a simple telling of the facts.

I do not work for any political party, candidate, campaign, committee or advocacy group of any kind. In fact, I’m not asking you to support any specific candidate. What I am asking, is that you NOT vote for John Kasich, and in the paragraphs below I will tell you exactly why.

Why am I telling you this story while many others who know Ohio have not? Because so few of those involved in Ohio politics will risk speaking up due to Kasich’s stranglehold on Republican politics in the state. Bottom line – no one wants to pay the price of picking a fight with a sitting Governor.

When looking at John Kasich, there are two distinct stories that can be told – one is that of an Obama-like policy agenda, and the other is the story of a man who has run Columbus with intimidation and threats rather than consensus and coalition building.

For now, I’m going to stick with what I know best, and focus on his policies that declared war on personal and economic freedom in Ohio.

The unfortunate truth about John Kasich is that he has advanced wealth redistribution while spending taxpayer money at record levels, and has actively inhibited the economic opportunity Ohio so desperately needs.

We can explore that statement by asking questions John Kasich should be forced to answer on 3 of the most important issues of our time:

  1. Governor Kasich on Obamacare:You advanced Obamacare in Ohio, turning over 600,000 healthy, working age adults into government dependents, costing taxpayers billions of dollars and expanding the largest long term obligation in Ohio history – all against the will of the Republican controlled Ohio House and Senate.

Given that these 600,000 Ohioans would not be government dependents had you not bypassed the legislature and vetoed their wishes so you could accept Obamacare funding and conditions – how can you say you oppose Obamacare while unilaterally championing its single biggest component?

Ohioans, let’s be brutally honest about this Kasich decision to expand Obamacare in Ohio. You and your children are being indebted by billions of dollars all to redistribute this money to healthy, working age adults. Not children, pregnant mothers or truly medically fragile people, no. The people Kasich added as government dependents were healthy adults.

The inarguable fact is that – this is Ohio’s largest state based expansion of socialism since Lyndon Johnson was in office, and John Kasich used his executive power to override the legislature to make this happen. He holds sole responsibility for this massive problem.

  1. Governor Kasich on Spending:You talk about balancing the state budget, but every Ohio Governor balances the budget every year as it’s a Constitutional requirement in your state. Democrat or Republican – every Ohio Governor does this, as it is regular and expected. This is not a unique accomplishment.

Of greater interest is that Ohio’s job and economic growth has lagged behind the national average during your time in office. As we all know, the national economy has improved since the crash of 2008, so tax revenues have increased in both Ohio and across the US. But, as Ohio state tax revenues increased, curiously, so did your spending at a much faster pace.

Governor Kasich, how can you justify increasing spending by greater amounts than any Ohio Democrat or Republican Governor since 1990, outpacing both inflation and population growth, but still call yourself fiscally responsible?

Yes, the exploding expenditures in Ohio are real. Read more about record state spending under John Kasich

  1. Governor Kasich on Unions and Big Labor:Every US state with a Republican Governor and Republican controlled Legislature has ended compulsory payment of fees to unions and become a “right to work” state with the exception of Ohio.

As the Ohio border states of Indiana, Michigan and West Virginia have all become “right to work” states during your time as Ohio Governor, not only have you failed to make Ohio a “right to work” state, but you actively pushed Michigan’s Governor Snyder to oppose right to work legislation, you have killed Ohio right to work legislation in committees multiple times and you proactively worked to stop Ohio donors from funding a citizen’s initiative to make Ohio a right to work state through a vote of the people at the ballot.

Ohio’s current ranking is a dismal 38Th in job creation, so while you fought against ending forced union dues payments, right to work states dominated job growth across the country. How can you call yourself someone committed to an environment conducive to job creation when your actions and results  in Ohio have protected unions and inhibited job growth?

On three of the biggest issues for Republicans and conservative voters: Obamacare/Wealth Redistribution, Fiscal Responsibility and Jobs/Economic Opportunity, John Kasich fails miserably.

If you are looking at someone strictly on their recent record and actions – the heartbreaking and terrible truth is that John Kasich is indistinguishable from a Democrat governor. In fact, he said so himself in New Hampshire this February:

I ought to be running in a Democrat primary, I got more Democrats for me — you have any Republican friends? – John Kasich, February 2016

What makes the list of policy disasters above even more intolerable to so many Ohio Republicans and conservatives is that Kasich ran for Governor as someone else. He looked us in the eye, often one on one, and promised to be different than the Democrats, but we got just the opposite – more spending, more government dependents and the same union protection we get with Democrats.

Maybe the average Republican voter could forgive the abandonment of principles if they were actually productive, if they were actually yielding results. Instead, Ohio has below average job growth, terrible workforce participation and is staring down the barrel of multi-billion dollar obligation that will only hit the state when Kasich has left office.

Ohio taxpayer – when Kasich is long gone, it is you and your children who will be left with the mess he has created. It is you who John Kasich has left holding the bag.

On March 15th, choose anyone but Kasich.

If you haven’t had enough Kasich-led craziness in Ohio, keep reading…

I won’t go into such detail on his other failed policy and positions, but here is a brief list of a few other items where Kasich is out of sync with most voters who identify as Republican, conservative, libertarian or generally center right in any way.

  1. Increasing taxes or ignoring tax cuts

– Kasich has shifted taxes around the state, so property owners and small businesses now pay more taxes than before he took office. Ohio recently ranked #42 in Tax Foundation’s “2016 State Business Tax Climate Index.”

– Kasich is pushing to increase the tax on oil and gas extraction in Ohio by over 300%

– Kasich has publicly advocated and encouraged increases for local school taxes

– All this with a Republican controlled legislature, so there is no excuse for not advancing better tax policy.

  1. Crony corporate favors with taxpayer money

– Kasich created a non-auditable 501C4 called JobsOhio which uses revenue from state liquor taxes to offer incentives, loans, etc to chosen businesses. Remember Obama’s Solyndra mess? This is the same thing, but it’s not even auditable. This entity picks winners and losers with taxpayer money with absolutely no accountability.

– This crony entity was created by John Kasich, and he considers it top achievement.

The perceived necessity to create such an entity, to effectively bribe businesses to work in Ohio, acknowledges how terrible a business climate Ohio really has. Businesses aren’t looking to grow or move to Ohio. They have to be bribed to do so, and even then – the results show that it is not working.

  1. Long standing defense of Common Core in Education

– Multiple bills have been offered to address the Common Core mess in Ohio, and not only has Kasich refused to address the issue – he has defended it, and believes opposition to the Common Core State Standards is, in his words, “hysteria.”
