Humphrey Chimpden Earwicker: Paris terrorism and the guilt that gives them strength

Humphrey Chimpden Earwicker was running for public office in Dublin, Ireland and was a prominent pub owner who carried a reputation as a great man. A husband and father of three–two boys and a girl he was a man on the rise.   That is until he was walking through Phoenix Park and noticed two young girls urinating with their pants down to their ankles and their sexual mechanisms exposed. Three soldiers spied Earwicker and would later provide testimony as to what they saw as a cod with a pipe approached the distracted celebrity with an inquiry as to the time. Earwicker feeling guilt for noticing the young girls quickly stumbled through an answer indicating guilt that was not justified.

Later the cod’s wife hearing her husband retell of the incident with a bit of flurry to his remembrance carried the story to the local priest. After all, her ear for the spittoon was a seduction that she had great notoriety for, and thus began the downfall of Humphrey Chimpden Earwicker. Soon after the priest uttered a slightly varied version of the story to Philly Thurnston who thus did the same to the next person, who did again to the next person, and so forth until all of Dublin soon knew of the encounter. A pub ballad was soon constructed at Earwicker’s expense called “as The Ballad of the Persse O’Reilly.” Earwicker was so shamed that he soon was locked up in jail—for his own protection, lost his public office, his reputation as a good man, and was put on trial. Eventually the men of the court having sympathy for Earwicker’s shortcomings—because they themselves were thus prone—found him not guilty and the family man and pub owner was somewhat restored once again to his life and daily maintenance.

Thus is the basic story of the main protagonist from the great novel Finnegan’s Wake written by James Joyce for reasons that have provoked the most astute minds of literature.   The purpose of the tale was not to just tell another sultry story of a middle-aged mind caught into the perversions of sexual indulgence by women at the prime of their seductive powers. It was to show a cycle that all societies go through as represented by Earwicker who is often just termed in the novel as HCE—or otherwise—Here Comes Everyone. Finnegan’s Wake is a heavily inspired metaphor of Giambattisto Vico’s cyclical theory of history which states that civilization always passes through four basic phases, a theocratic phase. An aristocratic phase. Right on cue it enters a democratic phase. Then once that cycle has run its course society drops back into chaos and anarchy. We presently throughout the world as seen most dramatically in the opening weeks of 2015 are witnessing the attempt of a theocratic order attempting to use chaos and anarchy to gain control of the world population through radical Islam to start the cycle again for mankind.

In a lot of ways Western Civilization has been undergoing this elusive menace for many years starting with the communist attempts for attention and world-wide expansion during the 1950s and 60s. Behind that mask was the Civil Rights movement who like the priest from Finnegan’s Wake took some of the collectivist uttering’s of the communist insurgents and added their own sprinkling of truth to the story under the guise of righteousness to further deteriorate into a quandary. Now society is so disarmed with guilt not completely justified, that it can do nothing but shut itself away from the world and hope that the courts will find them innocent—which of course they will. But, the damage to all reputations will have already have taken place and HCE—(all of us) will have to be born again and start from scratch under a theocratic order. In this case it is the Muslim who desires to set the new rules and have everyone bowing toward Mecca—or be decapitated as a surrender of individual sanctity in favor of collective identification.

The recent Paris attacks by young Islamic radicals are nothing more than the spreading of a new modern age “Ballad of the Persse O’Reilly.” Their military intention is to destroy the previous cycle of history and gain power for their order under the Vico cycle of an emerging theocracy. They are the girls in the park with their pants down urinating after a long night at the pub singing and dancing. The mechanism used to move society from one phase to another is guilt. Once a group of assailants can get portions of society to admit to “guilt” they can then control that person infinitely. This is what has happened in regard to racism and the progressive platforms. It was Republicans in the United States who put an end to slavery and started the Civil War to free men’s minds. But, using the same social tactics progressive radicals have demonized Republicans into inaction and thrown them in a metaphorical jail for being angry white guys old and outdated while the only people qualified to manage their “people” are boyz from the “hood” with crack sales on their resumes and baby-daddys from here to infinity as their family lineage. Like HCE, Republicans put themselves in jail to protect their reputations from the swarms of gossip and turned toward the law for help. But the insurgents have gained control of the law as well leaving no recourse but to stand on the sidelines and complain about the gross unfairness.

Finnegan’s Wake is a warning of this cyclical procession that has embedded itself in the human consciousness like a sickness destined to always destroy the grounds made among human kind. Humphrey Chimpden Earwicker couldn’t help but notice the young girls with their pants down showing their private parts to the world. Being a man of great reputation he was quick to catch his primal thoughts and get them under control.   But, the cod who asked the time assumed that Earwicker stuttered not out of self-regulation, but out of guilty yearnings, such as the cod likely struggled with. He needed to feel reconciled and momentarily superior so he passed on the story making himself the hero at Earwicker’s expense. The result of the book is to show that Earwicker was destroyed but rose again to return to the beginning of the story.

Yet my proposal and the purpose of this site is to step off that Vico cycle all together. It might be remembered that I had a bit of controversy once, which I considered to be equivalent to the court trial in the novel Finnegan’s Wake. When Scott Sloan asked me on 700 WLW in front of many hundreds of thousands of people to admit guilt and say I was sorry to all the fat-assed despots and levy supporters that I had properly identified, what he wanted was for me to play the role of HCE and put myself in jail awaiting judgment and forgiveness by my peers. Of course I refused because my opinions were my own and I felt no guilt for them. Just as HCE should have never felt guilt for walking through a park and noticing a couple of girls with their pants down. He didn’t pull down their garments and ask them to conduct themselves in such a way, so he should have never stuttered when the cod asked him the time. He had done nothing wrong. Yet, because HCE knew that there would be judgment cast upon him, he knew he had to be careful how he answered, so he made a mistake which then perpetuated itself into chaos—which is the aim of all these endeavors against logic. And so it is that no Christian, Muslim, or Buddhist should feel guilt for the plight of the modern communists behind ISIS, or the Sykes-Picot agreement after World War I, or for slavery in America that was ended by the American Constitution, not sustained and justified.

The enemies of our age are using guilt to destroy us dear reader. You would be advised to stop feeling guilt and allowing it to control your actions. You must first have convictions about things, and be willing to stand by them. If you do not, you will end up like poor Humphrey Chimpden Earwicker from Finnegan’s Wake. Society uses guilt to advance the Giambattista Vico cycles which ultimately always erase whatever progress we truly make as a society in the fields of philosophy, history, religion—even mathematics and science. America is a step off the Vico cycle, and its high time that those lucky to be born under its protections stop feeling guilty about their fortune and protect the philosophic advancements passed down to us for sanctuary. The human race is in our hands, and it cannot be surrendered to chaos and theocratic despots by simple unfounded accusations designed to invoke guilt—and thus surrender of the emotional high ground for which America sits. Be warned, and listen to the quandary of Humphrey Chimpden Earwicker for what it is—a warning to us all. Do not make the mistake he did and carry willingly the guilt of mankind just because a cod asked for the time. Give him the time if he asks for it, but don’t feel any guilt for what you see. All the girls of Phoenix Parks everywhere will do what they do. But those of us who are like HCE have a right and obligation to walk where    they do and not be steered away just because society has its own agenda and a desire to regress back into a theocratic rebirth—and loss of all human advancement thus gained.

Free Community College for All: Obama’s further examples of stupidity

Now here is an epically terrible idea by a person who has done nothing with their life but be a public servant leaching off the American tax payer for every bit of their fiscal wealth. Obama, an American president that will go down in history as one of the worst ever—wants to help his terrible approval ratings and failing progressive platform by giving away more stuff to earn Democratic support from future voters. And to further exacerbate the situation Obama made a video of the announcement from Air Force One in transit as if his time were so important that he couldn’t even wait to get on the ground to make the announcement. Here is how USA Today reported the announcement fresh off the press. I believe they even beat the AP wire to the story—likely by design from the White House press office.

WASHINGTON — President Obama proposed two years of free community college for American workers today, part of what the White House says is an effort to make community college as universal as high school is today.

Obama teased his community college proposal in a video uploaded to Facebook on Thursday and delivered in a speech Friday in Tennessee.

“Put simply, what I’d like to do is to see the first two years of community college free for anybody who’s willing to work for it,” he said aboard Air Force One amid a three-state tour to preview his State of the Union Address. “It’s something we can accomplish, and it’s something that will train our workforce so that we can compete with anyone in the world.”

That plan, Munoz noted, has support from Republican lawmakers in Tennessee.

Munoz said the college plan would require the cooperation of states, community colleges and students. States would have to pick up a quarter of the cost — more or less depending on how much they currently fund community colleges.

“Community colleges have to raise their game by establishing standards to allow students to transfer those credits to a four-year degree,” she said. “And students must take responsibility for their education, earn good grades and stay on track to graduate in order to earn free tuition.”

The America’s College Promise program would be available to traditional and non-traditional college students, she said, and would support those seeking the first two years of a bachelor’s degree, an associate’s degree, or even just job training.

Obama said a world-class education starts with children, but that adults need training, too. “It’s not just for kids, we also have to make sure that everybody has the opportunity to constantly train themselves for better jobs, better wages, better benefits.”

The program would require action from a Republican-dominated Congress. “With no details or information on the cost, this seems more like a talking point than a plan,” said Cory Fritz, a spokesman for House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio.

The White House said details on the cost and funding would come in the State of the Union Address on Jan. 20 and the president’s budget request Feb. 2. But the White House expects 9 million students to participate and save up to $3,800 a year for two years. That would place the cost at nearly $70 billion, though there are questions about building capacity at the nation’s 1,100 community colleges.

The federal government would pay three-quarters of the cost, at least initially.

In some ways, the community college plan is a bookend to Obama’s 2013 proposal to pay for universal pre-Kindergarten through a state and federal partnership. That $75 billion proposal, which relied on dwindling tobacco tax money to provide federal matching funds, never got traction in Congress.

Essentially what this does is cheapen education into a kind of smorgasbord of learning. If everyone knows something then there is no competitive advantage over others to achieve value. And that is the foundation of why more “free” education is nearly worthless. For Obama’s pre-kindergarten offerings education simply became a publicly funded baby-sitting service, grade-schoolers became a slow stew of liberal learning, and higher education in the form of various colleges served only the institutions themselves with highly paid jobs for people of little worth built artificially into personages of stature by the looted efforts of the federal government—otherwise known as the modern college professor. All the values are inflated and over-stated due to lack of competition. The basis of all free education is equivalent to the type of people who frequent smorgasbords often. They over-eat poorly prepared food made cheaply because of the bulk units. The value of the meal declines incredibly because everyone equally shares in the feast, the same with free education opportunities.

What job skills are really learned at a community college that will be useful to an employer other than a government one? Unless the institution is attempting to teach students to think outside of a box, they are not giving them much of anything that couldn’t be learned by simply working a job at a position for a number of years learning an operation from the ground up the old-fashioned way. No student at a community college is going to learn to make the next zero-point power generator, or invent a revolution in state to state mass transportation. They will simply learn how to make an Excel spreadsheet or possibly set up a machine of some kind for general operation. The rest of the education has to come from actually doing something on a job. Community colleges are terrible at preparing students for actual work. They only pave the way in how to get the attention of a potential employer. After that the new employees are on their own. Much of their learning arc will come from experience they can only get from actually doing a job. Experience cannot be purchased with “free” education.

But Obama and the rest of his government slugs don’t understand that. He has no idea how value is created in a job because he’s never had one. In his life everyone has always used his skin color to get something from him just by placing him strategically in some position or another, whether it’s a federal senator, a community organizer, an author, a college student himself, or a president—he’s simply an actor told what to say and when to say it. He has no idea what will bring competitive market expansion to American business. He simply thinks that education by itself will do the trick, but it never does. It just makes a bunch of slugs that show up at a job interview and expect their ticket for a thirty year career to be punched because they obtained a degree. But in a competitive marketplace that degree means nothing. All that really matters is what employees do—and for that it takes initiative. And that is not taught in any public school of any kind—and is the most important ingredient.   So once again, the president has missed the point as well as the idiots who move his mouth. What his announcement amounts to is higher taxes to pay for the endeavor to get results that are even poorer than they are today—because it’s free. And that’s not good for anybody—not the participants—or the future employers.

John Birch Society Revelation: Cuba, Civil Rights and ‘The Interview’

If you walk into a public school and utter the term, “The John Birch Society” you will likely see heads spin as the demons of humanity seek to destroy the source as evil spreads far and wide in defense of itself at the mere mention. The JBS is considered a radical fringe group of right-winged propaganda now, but that is only in comparison to the extreme measure that the left-winged view of the world has gained ground against the American consciousness. To see just who is radical and who isn’t just listen to Author Thompson below at the end of his weekly published video discuss the movie, The Interview where he articulates that the film is not fit for women and children—because it is so vile. Of course compared to the radical fringe progressive left, Author is way out of step with the rest of the world. It is on that single explanation that the real intention of progressives is revealed. They wish to “progress” America beyond the grasp of traditionalists like Author Thompson. Thompson, like I do, believes that women are so important to the human race that they should not be corrupted by the vile collectivism of the modern movements driven by progressive philosophy because they are naturally part of the nurturing process of humanity’s children. They deserve to be protected as a resource. But for progressives hell-bent on “equality” they want women denigrated into a worthless slug of male sexuality. And driving that desire is a long-held desire for communism among the political left. So to that effect, the John Birch Society addressed the Obama reasoning behind the Cuban deal recently of opening the boarders both ways to pave the way for renewed relations. But to what effect? That is what Author Thompson explores in the following video. Have a look.

I’m not a member of the John Birch Society, yet I have said on many occasions precisely the same type of things that Arthur Thompson has said in his video. The JBS have been at this kind of business a lot longer than I have, yet we have independently arrived at the same precise conclusions. This is because it is conservativism—“real conservativism” this is driving the value based judgments, and not feel good hippie tripe concocted by the first communists who sought to take over America largely using the shield of Civil Rights activity to hide their intentions. It was from these young fledgling communists that the bra burning feminists emerged along with their attempts at turning the nation’s children away from the family and into the care of the State. That’s not a conspiracy, it was a valid and true strategic enterprise consciously embarked upon by the vile enemies of American capitalism. But how long has this fight boiled? Well, a very long time—and the John Birch Society have been at the front of it for a long time—long before there was ever a Tea Party.

The John Birch Society (JBS) is an American political advocacy group that supports anti-communism and limited government.[2][3][4][5][6] It has been described as radical right.[6][7]

Businessman and founder Robert W. Welch Jr. (1899–1985) developed an elaborate organizational infrastructure in 1958 that enabled him to keep a very tight rein on the chapters.[8] Its main activity in the 1960s, says Rick Perlstein, “comprised monthly meetings to watch a film by Welch, followed by writing postcards or letters to government officials linking specific policies to the Communist menace”.[9] After an early rise in membership and influence, efforts by people like conservative William F. Buckley, Jr. and National Review led the JBS to be identified as a fringe element of the conservative movement, mostly in fear of the radicalization of the American right.[10][11]

The organization claims to identify with a particular type of Christian principles, seeks to limit governmental powers, and opposes wealth redistribution, and economic interventionism. It opposes collectivism, totalitarianism, and communism. It opposes socialism as well, which it asserts is infiltrating U.S. governmental administration. In a 1983 edition of Crossfire, Congressman Larry McDonald (DGeorgia), then its newly appointed president, characterized the society as belonging to the Old Right rather than the New Right.[14]

The society opposed the 1960s civil rights movement and claimed the movement had communists in important positions. In the latter half of 1965, the JBS produced a flyer titled “What’s Wrong With Civil Rights?”, which was used as a newspaper advertisement.[15][16] In the piece, one of the answers was: “For the civil rights movement in the United States, with all of its growing agitation and riots and bitterness, and insidious steps towards the appearance of a civil war, has not been infiltrated by the Communists, as you now frequently hear. It has been deliberately and almost wholly created by the Communists patiently building up to this present stage for more than forty years.”[17] The society opposed the Civil Rights Act of 1964, claiming it violated the Tenth Amendment to the United States Constitution and overstepped individual states’ rights to enact laws regarding civil rights. The society opposes “one world government“, and it has an immigration reduction view on immigration reform. It opposes the United Nations, the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), the Central America Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA), the Free Trade Area of the Americas (FTAA), and other free trade agreements. They argue the U.S. Constitution has been devalued in favor of political and economic globalization, and that this alleged trend is not accidental. It cited the existence of the former Security and Prosperity Partnership as evidence of a push towards a North American Union.[18]

Characterizations

The society has been described as “ultraconservative”,[19] “far right”,[20] and “extremist”.[21] The Southern Poverty Law Center lists the society as a “‘Patriot’ Group”.[22] Other sources consider the society as part of the patriot movement.[23][24]

The society was established in Indianapolis, Indiana, on December 9, 1958, by a group of 12 led by Robert W. Welch, Jr., a retired candy manufacturer from Belmont, Massachusetts. Welch named the new organization after John Birch, an American Baptist missionary and United States military intelligence officer who had been shot by communist forces in China in August 1945, shortly after the conclusion of World War II. Welch claimed that Birch was an unknown but dedicated anti-communist,[8] and the first American casualty of the Cold War.

Fred Koch, founder of Koch Industries, was one of the founding members.[25][26][27][28] Robert Waring Stoddard, President of Wyman-Gordon, a major industrial enterprise, was also among the founders.[29] Another was Revilo P. Oliver, a University of Illinois professor who later severed his relationship with the society and helped found the National Alliance. A transcript of Welch’s two-day presentation at the founding meeting was published as The Blue Book of the John Birch Society, and became a cornerstone of its beliefs, with each new member receiving a copy.[14] According to Welch, “both the U.S. and Soviet governments are controlled by the same furtive conspiratorial cabal of internationalists, greedy bankers, and corrupt politicians. If left unexposed, the traitors inside the U.S. government would betray the country’s sovereignty to the United Nations for a collectivist New World Order, managed by a ‘one-world socialist government.'”[30][31] Welch saw collectivism as the main threat to Western Civilization, and liberals as “secret communist traitors” who provided cover for the gradual process of collectivism, with the ultimate goal of replacing the nations of western civilization with a one-world socialist government. “There are many stages of welfarism, socialism, and collectivism in general,” he wrote, “but Communism is the ultimate state of them all, and they all lead inevitably in that direction.”[31]

The society’s activities include distribution of literature, pamphlets, magazines, videos and other educational material while sponsoring a Speaker’s Bureau, which invites “speakers who are keenly aware of the motivations that drive political policy”.[32] One of the first public activities of the society was a “Get US Out!” (of membership in the UN) campaign, which claimed in 1959 that the “Real nature of [the] UN is to build a One World Government”.[33] In 1960, Welch advised JBS members to: “Join your local P.T.A. at the beginning of the school year, get your conservative friends to do likewise, and go to work to take it over.”[34] One Man’s Opinion,[35] a magazine launched by Welch in 1956, was renamed American Opinion,[36] and became the society’s official publication. The society publishes the biweekly publication The New American.[13][37]

The Society has been active in supporting the auditing of, and aims to eventually dismantle, the Federal Reserve System.[59] The JBS holds that the United States Constitution gives only Congress the ability to coin money, and does not permit it to delegate this power, or to transform the dollar into a fiat currency not backed by gold or silver.

The JBS was a co-sponsor of the 2010 Conservative Political Action Conference, ending its decades-long exile from the mainstream conservative movement.[60][61]

I can understand what happened to the John Birch Society. I myself have been categorized by the extreme left as scary, fringy, and ultra-conservative. The only mode they have to deal with such types is to try to paint them out of their conscious thoughts by ignoring them completely. So if their words don’t appear in Time Magazine, the New York Times, or even 60 Minutes, as far as the progressive are concerned, ultra conservative groups don’t exist. That is why to this day if the John Birch Society is mentioned in a public school that there will be major controversy—because government backed schools are all about destroying tradition and advancing progressivism. And nothing threatens them more than a reminder that the John Birch Society is actually out there and can see what they are really up to.

As to Author Thompson’s thoughts about Cuba and the reason that Obama lifted the sanctions there all one need to do is look at the behavior of Obama’s good friend Jay-Z and his wife Beyoncé when they visited Cuba during 2013. That powerful musical couple could have gone anywhere they wanted in the world, yet they picked Cuba. Why might that be? Let’s hear what Jay-Z said about the trip from a rap song he did on the topic.

“I done turned Havana into Atlanta. Boy from the hood, I got White House clearance… Politicians never did shit for me except lie to me, distort history… They wanna give me jail time and a fine. Fine, let me commit a real crime.”

“Hear the freedom in my speech… Obama said, ‘Chill you gonna get me impeached. You don’t need this shit anyway, chill with me on the beach.”

“I’m in Cuba, I love Cubans. This communist talk is so confusing,”

http://www.politico.com/story/2013/04/jay-z-new-song-cuba-89943.html

Within the minority communities which Obama and Jay-Z are openly pandering to, communism is a large part of the dialogue within their political movements. Malcolm X was a vile communist as were many Civil Rights leaders who used the mask of a good thing to perpetrate a communist philosophy into the capitalist republic of America. Having an open communist country just a few miles from the United States that is a state sponsor of most equatorial socialist countries is a huge thorn in the side of American sovereignty and when Obama noticed that the mood of the country was swinging back toward the John Birch Society types—he made a move to open up the avenues toward communist infusion into the voting base so that Cuban communists could once again penetrate American society to fill the streets with radicals as they did during the 1960s. It is that simple. It doesn’t have anything to do with helping people in Cuba have a better economy. It’s about letting communist Cubans have a voice in America and to tip the scales away from capitalism, and more toward socialism through a populist movement.

However, nobody but a few like me and the John Birch Society are even talking about this. Our opinion is considered the radical fringe because it is all too accurate and sees too clearly the faults and who is responsible. We are dealing with a long history of communist insurgency here that is quite evident with just a casual look and just a bit of knowledge of history. It doesn’t matter how many people agree with our opinions or not—what does matter is the intentions of these insurgents and how well their plan resolves itself. History will prove everything else true in time—as it currently is. The John Birch Society has in fact been saying these kinds of things about communism for a very long time. And to the destroyed intellect they might otherwise believe that the JBS is a fringe organization that should be ignored. Yet nobody who gave the kind of review about the movie The Interview that Author Thompson did could be otherwise considered as anything but the sanest person in the world. Thompson quickly figured out that the North Koreans had nothing to do with the terrorist threat against movie theaters because of the contents of the movie, The Interview which was a slap stick adolescent journey into the assassination attempt of the North Korean leader, but was simply a marketing ploy to get people to watch the movie. After all, George Clooney and Obama suddenly showed courage in their opinions against terrorists on that issue.

That is because they knew that North Korea was toothless and didn’t even have the ability to hack the Sony data base, let alone have an opinion about The Interview as a critical analysis. That’s because communism destroys free will and free thought. And the only idiots who believed Clooney, Obama, Jay-Z and all the rest of the progressive radicals hell-bent for global communism believed that line of crap about The Interview being anything but a bad movie that nobody would show up at a theater to watch as their market testing proved—meaning the picture was poised to lose a lot of money. So they came up with a marketing blitz that made all the parties involved look tougher and better than they really were. And most people believed it. But I didn’t and neither did Author Thompson. That’s why if you want the truth—you should listen to him—and not those who are trying to advance communism through deceptive practices and phony movies, along with uniting Cuba with America after a long Cold War against severe ideological differences.

‘Quotes from a Teenage Mind’: Paul Townsend’s wonderfully honest book

Paul Townsend was born in Canterbury, England. Over the summer of 2004 he fell in love with an enchanting young lady who happened to live in Cincinnati, Ohio. He wrote a book about that experience which is now out and available at the link below. This book contains quotes from notepads he kept between the ages of 17 and 19 years old. The quotes are the thoughts and inspirations he had while maintaining a long distance relationship throughout his teenage years while traveling across vast oceans, transporting himself through mysterious unknown airports, and working his ass off on a journey that required him to leave behind everything he ever knew for a strange mysterious land and the obscure family that housed him during a decade of courting this young lady. I know this story intimately because the young lady he’s talking about is my oldest daughter.

http://www.amazon.com/Quotes-Teenage-Mind-Paul-Townsend-ebook/dp/B00RRCBMVK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1420560089&sr=8-1&keywords=quotes+from+a+teenage+mind41woRPDs4mL__BO2,204,203,200_PIsitb-sticker-v3-big,TopRight,0,-55_SX318_SY318_PIkin4,BottomRight,1,22_AA318_AA300_SH20_OU01_

I have a beautiful wife. So I knew when my children who were girls reached that dreadful age of puberty that I would be dealing with an onslaught of boys who would want to stick their whatevers into them as sexual conquests—and as a father it was my job to stop them—so to save my children’s innocence for as long as possible. For young girls innocence is extremely valuable, it is the kind of capital that can get them good mates later in life when they want to start families, so I made it my point to protect them from this corrosive element of human nature. And because of my wife—it was obvious that my kids wouldn’t grow up to look like an elephant’s ass. So I had to come up with something quick to help them help themselves.

On a trip through Spaceship Earth at the Epcot Center in Florida my oldest daughter noticed that intercontinental internet connectivity was just coming online in 2003 and she showed an interest in it. So for the following Christmas I bought both of my girls their very first computers. Of course everyone thought my wife and I were crazy because there was tremendous fear at the time of online predators, but for me I was more concerned about the boys in the nearby neighborhoods who were catting around near our home with increased frequency. So I had to try something radical.

Being an avid video game player I knew how much better those realities can sometimes be as opposed to real-life ones, so it was my hope that my kids would be so interested in that new computer environment that they would stay home and stay safe where I could lean over their shoulder and help explain things to them just a bit longer before the world cast its ugly claws into their virtue. To make sure of it I bought them both a new massive online game called Star Wars Galaxies, which was a world of its own. I knew that my girls would meet people on the game and that they’d play house with other players. But it was safer than the real life so I encouraged it.

It didn’t take long for a parade of young men to begin trying to have relationships with my daughter. In online games if a player just has a feminine name they’ll be hit on constantly. But it taught my kids how to deal with such things in the safety of their own home with their parents close by to advise, so it worked out. My kids learned how to say no to people who were unscrupulous, and how to be politely nice to those who they might have been interested in without over-committing themselves. Soon my daughter had a boyfriend who worked with her on the game to build entire cities, establish a vast economy, and to learn the first of firsts about puppy love.

I felt that such a relationship was harmless because the boy in question happened to live across the ocean so it wasn’t like my daughter was going to climb out of the window at night to jump into a car with him and run off to marry. Two times a year we’d arrange for the boy to come to the United States where we’d entertain him at first for a few weeks. And after a few years of dating, he came for the entire summer and Christmas break. Their relationship was quite pure and old-fashioned, which is exactly how I had hoped it would be. Being from England the young man had a lot of manners about himself, and he had good parents who taught him to be respectful, so I was happy with the kid.

He made it clear that he wasn’t just interested in my daughter, but her entire family and he made a point to learn all he could from me—which I was always happy to oblige. I always teach young people with a non-invasive manner of hands off so that they come to the answers often on their own with only gentle nudges by my hand. That is the best way for things to take when people invest in themselves instead of doing things through coercion and manipulation. And Paul was very receptive, so we had a nice experience with him, and he and my daughter eventually married and now have a nice home in Liberty Township—and are entirely a successful young couple.

As a couple they stepped over most of the pitfalls that most young people get snared in and they did it because both of them were deeply in love with philosophy at a very young age. Part of that was Star Wars allowed them to live that life. The world of Star Wars was far more important to them than their school day experiences. In fact, my daughter finished her high school early with online classes that she played while doing missions in Star Wars. Now as a couple in their mid to late twenties putting behind them their first decade of a relationship they are everything that a father could have wanted for his daughter way back on that amusement park ride at the Epcot Center. It was a good idea then, and it really in hindsight likely saved my kids from a terrible teenage existence. The kind of values that we taught them prior to that pivotal moment was in stark contrast to the outside world and it would have forced them to compromise themselves—as it does for most young people so that by the time young people become old people, they are only fractions of their hopes and dreams. Paul at the time knew that he was embarking on something very unique especially in a modern context—so he wrote down those thoughts along the way.

The result of this decade long adventure is this very fine little book called, Quotes from a Teenage Mind. It is deceptively simple, and short, but for the price it is a marvel of purity coming from a young man who literally put everything on the line to have the love of his life. Now, many years later, he is an American citizen. He has brought his entire family to the United States and they are also very successful and live in West Chester. He paved the way with sheer willpower and love to do something that is very unique—and he wrote it all down. His story is a remarkable one as he is the modern Atlas in every category. Even when he could have, he never, ever wavered from his goals and carried literally everything upon his back. He took the ultimate hero journey and has survived to share the experience with others. Every young person in the world should read his story for inspiration because it is hard to know such people as they are as rare as the most precious gem. Yet he shares that rarity with the world for the simple cost of a download on Amazon.com.

I am very proud of Paul and my daughter for doing something that many thought was impossible. There are many weddings that hope to capture the sincerity of the type of love that these two have for each other and who so young maintain such a mature relationship. But for them it started under unusual experimental conditions and bloomed into a beautiful thing largely because Paul Townsend was as genuine of a person who currently roams the earth as there is and I can only thank God that it took the vast reaches of the World Wide Web to find him in Canterbury, England living in the shadow of Orlando Bloom. Without the internet neither he nor my daughter would have found each other and all the wonderful things they have done since or in the future would have happened. This book because it captures the moment in time where the hard decisions were made and what types of thoughts lifted Paul from one place to another is important to anyone asking similar questions. Those words have immense value to those clinging for life in a confusing world starving for inspiration. For them—Paul Townsend is the man.

The New Socialist Republic In North America: Members being taught at your local public school

After talking to a number of young people recently it is unequivocally evident that it is socialism that has been taught to them, not capitalism in public schools. Socialist dialogue is uttered from these youth with nearly every vowel and noun which springs forth from their mouths. Wherever the common belief that tradition needs to be tossed out, that the youth has more legislative influence than the old, and that the young need to rise up against the system of old—what is behind those fantasies are socialist attempts to usher in a communist regime.

I discovered this quite by accident while fighting school levies within the Lakota school system. The evidence points only to that cause. It is also the reason why the media and public schools do not cover the dangers of communism currently as they always point to the Cold War as if that collectivist mentality were somehow outdated and no longer relevant. Not even Fox News will cover modern communism unless it is in reference to modern-day North Korea. The communist attempts to resurrect itself in America are given very little talk even though it is presently everywhere and is the major driver of youth culture. Socialism is the most dominant political belief among the young other than anarchy—which of course leads to socialism, then to communism.

What’s that I hear from your thoughts dear reader…….you don’t believe me? Oh, you want proof do you? Well, that is understandable. I would too. After all, if I didn’t spend considerable time researching topics like this, I might think such an allegation would belong in an insane asylum among a babbling idiot huddled in the corner alone with their thoughts. So proof I have for you. Lots of it in fact, and a link to a major backer of the Ferguson riots in New York—after all, who do you think printed all those protest signs against the police there? Surely you didn’t think that those kids protesting had the idea on their own did you? They were nudged along by their school teachers, their college professors, and their online social groups to click the link found at the end of this article and print off their own sign to protest the Ferguson issue in the streets of New York City where a progressive mayor and a progressive governor are friendly to their cause—and the media is located on virtually every block to cover the effect—but not the cause.

What you are about to read is a document from only a few years ago which announces the intention of the Revolutionary Communist Party in the United States to usher in a New Socialist Republic of North America. Now that may sound like fiction to the busy mom ushering her kids to and from soccer practice, or the dad out for watching a football game with his buddies at BW3s, yet it is real, and they have made their national presence known in the riots of Ferguson. They even have a constitution which is shown below. They are quite serious in their intentions. In fact they are so serious that the media has helped them with their cause with silence on the issue—to help them get their footing socially. Nobody is talking about the backers of these riots. The only mention is that they are occurring. Why do you think that is dear reader? Well, read the constitution of the Revolutionary Communist Party of the United States below and I’ll explain it to you at the conclusion. Enjoy!

CONSTITUTION For The New Socialist Republic In North America (Draft Proposal)

From the Revolutionary Communist Party, USA

Preamble

The New Socialist Republic in North America could only have been brought into being as a result of heroic, self-sacrificing struggle carried out by millions and millions of people who had been forced to live under a system of exploitation and oppression in the former United States of America; who could no longer tolerate the continual outrages and injustices perpetrated by the system of capitalism-imperialism and the structures and institutions of power and repression which enforced all this with violence and brutality as well as lies and deception; who refused to any longer accept that this was the best possible society and world, and were increasingly aware of and inspired by the possibility of a radically different and better society and world; and who therefore rose up, with the leadership of the Revolutionary Communist Party, to defeat, abolish and dismantle the imperialist system in the former USA and its institutions and apparatus of repression and violence. At the same time, this new socialist state could only have resulted from a whole process of revolutionary work and struggle, in the realm of theory as well as practical-political activity, by the Revolutionary Communist Party, acting as the vanguard of the revolutionary process, to enable both the Party itself and growing numbers of broader masses to prepare for and then to seize on the emergence of a revolutionary situation, to defeat and dismantle the forces of the old, oppressive order, and establish the new socialist state. In this whole process, the interaction and mutual reinforcement between the vanguard role of the Revolutionary Communist Party–with its theoretical basis in the science of communism and the further development of this science through the new synthesis brought forward by Bob Avakian–and the growing consciousness and increasingly determined struggle of masses of people, constitute a decisive element in the success of the revolution and the founding of the new, revolutionary socialist state. The Constitution for the New Socialist Republic in North America continues and gives further expression and initiative, in the conditions of the new society, to the fundamental principles and motive forces that constitute the basis for the establishment of this new socialist state.

In contrast to the way in which the capitalist-imperialist state serves and enforces the interests of a small ruling group of exploiters, the New Socialist Republic in North America, with the continuing leadership of the Revolutionary Communist Party, bases itself on, and proceeds from, the fundamental interests of those most bitterly exploited and oppressed under the old system, and the masses of people broadly, and provides the means for them to play an increasingly widening role in the exercise of political power and the functioning of society in accordance with those interests–in order to carry forward the struggle to transform society, with the goal of uprooting and finally eliminating all oppressive and exploitative relations among human beings and the destructive antagonistic conflicts to which these relations give rise.

This is a process and goal which, fundamentally and in the final analysis, can only be achieved on a global scale, with the advance to communism throughout the world. The orientation and principles of this state, as embodied in this Constitution, are internationalist: While giving due emphasis to meeting the material, intellectual and cultural needs of the people within this state, on a continually expanding basis, and to promoting the further transformation of this society to continue uprooting social inequalities and remaining aspects of exploitation and oppression, the socialist state must give fundamental priority to the advance of the revolutionary struggle, and the final goal of communism, throughout the world, and must adopt and carry out policies and actions which are in accordance with and give concrete effect to this internationalist orientation.

Regardless of differences, even very great and qualitative differences, in their political structures, institutions and guiding principles, all states have a definite social content and class character: they are an expression of the prevailing social relations, and most fundamentally the economic relations (relations of production), which have a decisive and ultimately determining role in regard to how the particular society functions and is organized. The state serves to protect and expand those relations and to enforce the interests of the social group–the ruling class–which holds the dominant position in society, as a result of its role in the economy, and in particular its ownership and control of the major means of production (including land, raw materials and other resources, technology and physical structures such as factories, and so on). In capitalist society, it is the capitalist class which holds this dominant position: the government structures and processes–and above all the organs of the state as an instrument of class rule and suppression (the armed forces, police, courts and prisons, the executive power, and the bureaucracies)–are controlled by this capitalist class as a means of exercising its rule over society and its repression of forces whose interests are in significant opposition to, and/or which resist, its rule. In short, all states are an instrument of dictatorship–of a monopoly of political power, concentrated as a monopoly of “legitimate” armed force and violence–exercised by, and in the interests of, one class or another. Any democracy which is practiced in this situation is democracy on the terms of, and fundamentally serving the interests of, the ruling class and its exercise of dictatorship. And it will remain the case that there will be a state, and that the state will constitute a dictatorship of one kind or another, serving the interests of one ruling class or another, so long as society is divided into classes (and other groups) with interests that are fundamentally antagonistic–a division rooted in the underlying social relations, and above all the production relations, which predominate in the given society.

The New Socialist Republic in North America is, like all states, a form of dictatorship–the dictatorship of the proletariat–which means that, in its essential character and its basic principles, structures, institutions and political processes, it must give expression to and serve the fundamental interests of the proletariat, a class whose exploitation is the engine of the accumulation of capitalist wealth and the functioning of capitalist society and whose emancipation from its exploited condition can only be brought about through the communist revolution, with its goal of abolishing all relations of exploitation and oppression and achieving the emancipation of humanity as a whole. In accordance with this, the governing bodies and processes of this socialist state, at all levels, must be vehicles for the furtherance of the communist revolution; and, as a key dimension of this, they must provide the means for those who were exploited and oppressed in the old society–and were effectively locked out of the exercise of political power and the governance of society, as well as the spheres of intellectual endeavor and working with ideas overall–to increasingly take part in these spheres, with the aim of continually transforming society in the direction of communism. All this is given expression through the principles and provisions, and the institutions, structures and processes which are set forth and provided for in this Constitution.

At the same time, the New Socialist Republic in North America is a continuation of the strategic orientation of United Front under the Leadership of the Proletariat, in the conditions of the new society which has been brought into being through the revolutionary struggle. This means that, while it must be recognized that the essential nature, and the basic principles and processes, of this Republic are oriented in accordance with the interests of the proletariat, as a class, in the most fundamental and largest sense–abolishing all relations of exploitation and oppression through the advance to communism throughout the world–the struggle to achieve this goal cannot be, and will not be, carried out simply by PROLETARIANS, as some idealized “perfect embodiment of communist principles,” and in some uniform and linear sense. As the new synthesis brought forward by Bob Avakian has given emphasis to, the process of making revolution, and then continuing the revolution in the new socialist state toward the final goal of communism, must involve the active participation of broad ranks of the people, of different strata, and will proceed through many different “channels,” involving many diverse forces among the people in many different spheres of human endeavor, not only those more directly political or relating more directly, at any given time, to the functioning and objectives of the leadership of the revolution and the new socialist state; and the orientation and aim, consciously taken up by growing numbers of the people, must be to work so as to enable all this to contribute, in the final analysis, to the struggle to further transform society in the direction of communism.

In keeping with this orientation and these objectives, the principle of “solid core, with a lot of elasticity” must be applied. This means that, on the one hand, there must be a continually expanding force in society, with the revolutionary communist party as its leading element, which is firmly convinced of the need to advance to communism and deeply committed to carrying forward this struggle, through all the difficulties and obstacles; and, on the basis of and at the same time as continually strengthening this “solid core,” there must be provision and scope for a wide diversity of thinking and activity, among people throughout society, “going off in many different directions,” grappling and experimenting with many diverse ideas and programs and fields of endeavor–and once again all this must be “embraced” by the vanguard party and the “solid core” in an overall sense and enabled to contribute, through many divergent paths, to the advance along a broad road toward the goal of communism. This orientation and approach is embodied in the Constitution for the New Socialist Republic in North America.

The New Socialist Republic in North America is a multi-national and multi-lingual state, which is based on the principle of equality between different nationalities and cultures and has as one of its essential objectives fully overcoming national oppression and inequality, which was such a fundamental part of the imperialist USA throughout its history. Only on the basis of these principles and objectives can divisions among humanity by country and nation be finally overcome and surpassed and a world community of freely associating human beings be brought into being. This orientation is also embodied in the various institutions of the state and in the functioning of the government in the New Socialist Republic in North America.

The oppression of women arose together with the emergence of exploitative class divisions among human beings thousands of years ago, has been carried forward and become deeply entrenched in all societies ruled by exploiting classes, and was a marked feature of the imperialist United States of America and its domination and influence in the world. Abolishing and uprooting all this is one of the most important objectives of the New Socialist Republic in North America. This is expressed not only in full legal equality between women and men, but beyond that in the declared orientation and policy of this Republic to overcome all “tradition’s chains” embodied in traditional gender roles and divisions, and all the oppressive relations bound up with this, in every sphere of society, and to enable women, as fully as men, to take part in and contribute to every aspect of the struggle to transform society, and the world, in order to uproot and abolish all relations of oppression and exploitation and emancipate humanity as a whole.

In an overall sense, and in accordance with the principles and provisions of this Constitution, the Revolutionary Communist Party provides leadership to the state and its key institutions. Members of the Party, at all levels, dedicate themselves to upholding, propagating and implementing the Constitution of the Party as well as the Constitution of the New Socialist Republic in North America. While there are differences between these two Constitutions–as aspects of the viewpoint, objectives and responsibilities of Party members, embodied in the Party Constitution, extend beyond what is set forth in the Constitution for the New Socialist Republic–there is a fundamental unity between the principles of the two Constitutions; the Party, and all its members, are accountable to and may not act in violation of, and on the contrary must consistently act on the basis of and in accordance with, the Constitution for the New Socialist Republic in North America.

As historical experience has demonstrated, socialist society will–for a considerable period of time–contain, and in fact regenerate, elements of exploitation, social inequality and oppression, which have been, unavoidably, inherited from the old society and cannot be uprooted and abolished all at once, or soon after the establishment of the socialist state. Further, there is likely to be a protracted period in which new socialist states come into existence in a situation where they are, to one degree or another, encircled by imperialist and reactionary states, which will continue to exert significant influence and force, and may even occupy a dominant position in the world for some time. These factors will, for a long time, repeatedly give rise to forces within socialist society itself, as well as within the parts of the world still dominated by imperialism and reaction, which will attempt to overthrow any socialist states that exist and restore capitalism there. And historical experience has also demonstrated that, as a result of these contradictions, forces will emerge within the vanguard party itself, including at its top levels, which will fight for lines and policies that will actually lead to the undermining of socialism and the restoration of capitalism. All this underscores the importance of continuing the revolution within socialist society, and of doing so in the overall framework of the revolutionary struggle throughout the world and with the internationalist orientation of giving fundamental priority to the advance of this worldwide struggle toward the achievement of communism, which is only possible on a world scale–and the importance of struggle within the party itself, as well as in society as a whole, to maintain and strengthen the revolutionary character and role of the party, in keeping with its responsibilities to act as the leadership of the continuing revolution toward the final goal of communism, and to defeat attempts to transform the party into its opposite, into a vehicle for the restoration of the old, exploitative and oppressive society.

With the final abolition of class divisions and all other exploitative and oppressive relations among people, throughout the world, there will still remain a need for government, in the sense of providing an organized framework for decision-making and the administration of the common affairs of the human beings who make up society, on its various levels, and for the pursuit by individuals and groups within society of their particular inclinations, preferences and concerns within the overall cooperative functioning and ethos of society. But the need and the basis for a state–as an organ of class rule and of suppression of classes and groups antagonistically opposed to the ruling class–will have been eliminated, and the state will have been abolished. In these conditions, the basis and need for an organized group of people exercising a disproportionate influence in the sphere of government, and in society overall, will also have been surpassed, and vanguard parties, with a special role in the governance of society, will have been eliminated. Advancing to such a communist society, bringing into being the conditions that make that possible and achievable–through continuing revolutionary struggle to transform all spheres of society, within a particular socialist state and in the world as a whole–is the fundamental aim of the socialist state and of the vanguard party which plays a leading role within that state. While recognizing the complex and protracted nature of the struggle to overcome the relations and divisions which make a state and a vanguard necessary, the socialist state and its leading party must, at every stage in this process, not only propagate this goal but promote and give effect to concrete measures which lead in this direction.

The preceding constitutes the basis and foundation for the Articles that follow in this Constitution for the New Socialist Republic in North America.

To prove how massive this conspiracy is here is how you can obtain validation for your own benefit. Print off the above socialist constitution and take it to virtually any public school superintendent and ask them to refute it. Most public school superintendents and teachers for that matter will decline comment. Now why do you think that is? If they had fierce convictions about protecting the capitalism which drives the American economy they would say so—but not wanting to offend anybody or take a position on anything, they will not come to the aid of capitalism in the face of an opposition. It is the same tactic used to spread communism through the minority neighborhoods, paralyze any opposition then force them to accept things they otherwise wouldn’t under quiet coercion. Then take the same document to your local media outlet—you will discover the same effect. Then take it to your local politicians, and they too will decline comment—mostly. All of them will deny that communism is a threat even as the riots in the streets occur and the website to the source is printed at the bottom of many of the protest signs. The evidence is right in front of everyone’s face, yet the powers that be refuse to even acknowledge it. Isn’t that amazing?

Over the 2014 Holiday I heard from a number of youth—most of them I have known for many, many years and watched grow up. I heard things come out of their mouths that sounded remarkably like that socialist constitution—particularly in reference to people of means being “aristocrats,” otherwise known to communists at the bourgeois class. There is no question to my mind that the goal of these communist revolutionaries wish to marginalize the older generation so that when they die off, or are too old to fight—that all these budding socialists will be ready to rise up to fight away capitalism in America and usher in The New Socialist Republic in North America. Their premier strategy has been to infect the public schools with indecision and to lay the foundation of socialist revolution without naming the evil precisely, and then use issues such as racism to polarize the population into inaction. Then when the time is right……………….SPLAT. Ever wonder why public schools have been so obsessed with “fairness” instead of the competition that drives capitalist economies?

I am so certain of this accusation that I’d give my odds of accuracy to be somewhere around 100%. The evidence is clear. All you have to do dear reader is look at it. If groups like this communist group were fringe, there wouldn’t be such media silence surrounding the issue. Instead, the silence says everything. Just listen to the silence and the evidence will spring forth. Do you hear it now?

Yes, it is much easier to continue on with your lives, to shop at Wal-Mart, to eat out on a Friday night, to continue shopping for Black Friday deals every Thanksgiving season and to make sure that you catch your favorite television shows—none of which ever deal with communism, socialism, or any “ism” for that matter. Television shows just deal with feelings for the most part and thus everyone turns off their minds and goes to sleep while this storm brews on the horizon—and has for many years. But you will find not too far off that as these radicalized, lazy youth deliberately bred by our education system not to be productive capitalists—but parasitic revolutionaries for “social change” that it is that above constitution that they are fighting for—not the one that started America. They fight for a constitution dedicated to ending it.

The Mythic Dimension: Answers from beyond the grave

For a long time I have wanted the pinnacle books in a series written by Joseph Campbell literally until his death in 1987 for many years now. The Historical Atlas of World Mythology books are five of the most all encompassing books on history and mythology collected anywhere by anybody—ever. They are absolutely phenomenal. They were released not long after his death and published by the Joseph Campbell Foundation. I was given book three of the five in 1997 by the Foundation which became one of my greatest treasures. But I was not able to get the rest of the books before they went out of print by the close of the century.

The Historical Atlas of World Mythology is a multi-volume series of books by Joseph Campbell that traces developments in humankind’s mythological symbols and stories from pre-history forward.

Campbell is perhaps best known as a comparativist who focused on universal themes and motifs in human culture. He first conceived of the Historical Atlas in the late 1970s as an extension of his works, The Mythic Image and The Masks of God. Like those books, the Historical Atlas of World Mythology intended to show the ways in which those universal themes and motifs were expressed differently by different cultures in different times and places.

Heavily illustrated and annotated, with numerous charts and maps to show both variations and similarities in different cultures’ expressions of mythic themes, this series was intended to serve both academic and lay readers.

The Historical Atlas was left incomplete when Campbell died in 1987.

Only the first volume was completed at the time of Campbell’s death. Published by Alfred van der Marck editions as a single book in 1983, it was rereleased by Harper and Row in 1988, in the wake of Campbell’s posthumous fame, brought by the airing of the television series, The Power of Myth. The first three parts of the second volume, which Campbell was working on literally to the day that he died, were completed by Campbell’s long-time editor, Robert Walter, and published by Harper and Row in 1989. Both volumes are currently out of print.

Campbell left rough text for the last two parts of Way of the Seeded Earth, as well as notes for the final two volumes. The Joseph Campbell Foundation has expressed the intention to rerelease the existing books, and, if possible, to complete Campbell’s magnum opus.[1]

For Christmas this year my daughter managed to find two of the missing books on Amazon which can cost up to several hundred dollars because they are so rare and hard to get. After receiving them for a present I was able to then find the other two by the same means and complete my collection. The final two books arrived on my doorstep on the first day of the New Year and marks a new phase for which I am about to embark.

We have tried to help as many people as possible, and we’ve done it for not just the five years of this blog site, but for many years prior leading up to it. We have saved all who we could, and these words will now remain out there like a lighthouse to those late coming to the show. But at some point, you have to draw a line, and now it is thus marked. The bus is leaving the station and if you’re not on it, tough luck.

Our society has been successfully destroyed by internal insurgents. Lately, a Facebook war between family members confirmed my thoughts and showed me that if they represent a certain segment of society—which they do, then people are too far gone to help—so it is pointless to continue. The process of rebuilding society has to begin and to do that a firm understanding of who we are where we are going must be understood. For me, the best place to start is in the mythic dimension.

The mythic dimension was written in the opening of the very first book in the series by Campbell shortly before his death and describes how the laws of our human knowledge have been largely governed by Newton and his three dimensions, with the fourth being time and all the stuff we have talked about in great detail here at Overmanwarrior’s Wisdom many times. But there are other dimensions and previous cultures had a relationship with them that we do not have now—and if society is to begin again, it will have to have an understanding of that relationship.

Nothing can help John Boehner, John Kasich, or even Barack Obama now. They are doomed to the status quo and the answers are not in that political realm. So it is time to deal with the answer and not just the problem. To do that will require a lot more different kinds of information. So to put my mind in the right state, I have dusted off a lot of this old Campbell work to meet that need. Receiving those old Atlas books of World Mythology are the culmination of a long time of effort and need given to the current moment. The mythic dimension is where the answers are and they exist in that fifth dimensional brane which runs parallel to our current brane of four-dimensional existence in what is called the “out-back.” It’s a very thin realm of quantum fluctuations where history runs in a kind of free flow existence without the concerns of time, length, width, or height. Older cultures made many religions out their observations of the quantum fluctuations that intersected our brane of reality from that place. And they had an understanding that we have lost in our current time and there is no way to solve the problems of our day without that understanding, because it is directly relevant. You can’t solve hard problems without all the answers intact, and those answers have been taken from our reality and tossed into concealment back into the mythic dimension by modern politics.

So it was wonderful to see the Atlas books by Campbell for the first time in my life all in one place for my use. And of course that use is to uncover the answers hidden in the mythic dimension. Politics, philosophy, and economics are all primary by-products of the mythic dimension so it is pointless to concern ourselves with the fools who reside in the brane of four-dimensional space when there is much more at work that must be dealt with. So to that end, the Historical Atlas of World Mythology by Joseph Campbell as his last work on planet earth will speak to me from beyond the grave—from the mythic dimension where the real keys truly reside. And it is a journey that will be extremely, profitable.

Dreaming of ‘Fury Road’: The beauty of chaos shown honestly

There is a beauty in the honesty of George Miller’s films whether we are talking about the children’s classic, Babe, or the wonderful Mad Max films. But I’ll admit to being a little blown away during a recent trip to the movies where Fury Road was releasing its second promotional trailer—and it was something to marvel at. The images, the content, and the way it was orchestrated together looked and sounded like the exact constructs of my daily thoughts and it was hauntingly surreal. Likely most people may not be quite so affected by it, but for me, it was a religious experience. Suddenly Fury Road is the film I am most eager to see in 2015. When the smoke clears, it is likely going to be that film that will be the stand out most to my liking. Check it out for yourself and welcome to the world of my thoughts.

What I have always loved about Miller’s over-the-top villains is that they are attempts at the honesty which manifests inside the typical collective brute and his Max stands against the tide of such swarms with minimalistic viciousness that is entirely appropriate. Specifically, take the average person who puts on a nice face and attends a funeral, or wants to be a Facebook buddy, and you are getting one of these vile Miller villains most of the time disguised behind one of their social masks. The moment—the exact moment that society strips away its convention, they deregulate themselves into anarchy and chaos insanely fast and leave in their wake destruction and pain.

You can see the cracks in the corners of civility among our own youth with the tattoo culture that has emerged among them in a struggle to show personal identity, along with the body piercings. Underneath their thin layers of social maintenance is the brute of Miller’s villains—the type of people functioning just above the social condition of a typical animal. Yet the piercings and tattoos are a form of radical tribalism that is directly associated with collective identity, not individual merit.

Years ago—2009/2010 I was in the process of putting together information for a motorcycle documentary showing why motorcyclists were America’s backbone of independence. However the more I looked into the collectivism that embodies most people in motorcycle groups, from criminal gangs down to the simple enthusiast organization—you get at their core an animal seeking its place in the pecking order of the forest and awaiting its time and place to die in the theater of existence. So I abandoned the project out of sheer disappointment. It is no wonder that shows like Sons of Anarchy did so well on cable television. I can’t relate to them in any way, yet I ride motorcycles more than most gang members will ever dream of. I spend more time on a motorcycle than most of the hardest core riders who make yearly pilgrimages to Sturgis. Yet I can’t relate to a single one of those riders because the essence of their experience is rooted in the collective goo of animal concerns, and not the plight of the individual against the thug. Most people at their core are thugs by choice.

In the new Max film it is said that the main protagonist only has about ten lines of dialogue through the entire picture. This too is like me most of the time. I have a lot to say obviously if left to my own individual endeavors but once I have to make a decision to mix with others functioning from animal needs, I say very little and watch the clock frequently for the first moment that I can part company. The reason is that there is no way a common thug or the average person whose sole purpose in life is to “fit in” can possibly understand anything I am saying—so I don’t even waste my time.

Miller’s basic premise is that the moment society strips away that thin veil of orthodox European civility backed by Christian righteousness that mankind quickly falls from grace into the kind of characters in his Mad Max films. And I agree with him emphatically. The common thug is quick to invent new religions to formulate their social aims of collectivism, they are quick to attack like insects the foundations of individualism and the worst of the characters are those with the most piercings, and most elaborate tattoos, because it is they who are most prone to assimilation into collective opinion.

It is not hard to imagine characters as vile as the ones Miller places into his movies because the masks which conceal the tendency is not very well hidden and is easily removed. It wouldn’t take much to plunge our society into the world of Mad Max if one looks at it honestly. Fury Road if it is like the other Mad Max films will undoubtedly take an honest look into the nightmares capable by the human mind and explore the role of collectivism in all the worst forms with color and spectacle that is unmatched anywhere.

I understand why Mad Max works by himself. I understand why he is weary to have connections to people, and why he spends most of his life as a solitary figure only helping people occasionally out of compassion—which always puts him in peril. Now that Miller has a reputation as a filmmaker with great commercial successes like Babe, Happy Feet, and of course the previous three Mad Max films—he can pretty much make the film he has always dreamed of. After all, he may not ever get a chance like this again, so he might as well take his shot and it looks like he succeeded.

There is something beautifully honest about symphonic music applied to the absolute brutality of the animalistic human and its desire for bare essentials, food, sex, and tribal approval. In the Mad Max films gasoline means food—or the ability to get it—so it’s at the heart of all car cultures, particularly those in Fury Road.   In the Max films the protagonist is often the only one who is truly sane—the only one capable of survival because he is free of that collectivist viewpoint. So the commentary of the plot lines is particularly potent. The films are popular because they touch on an honesty which many can perceive but fail to properly identify. But after so many years of manifesting in the mind of a great writer/director, George Miller looks to have been given the opportunity to conduct a great fortissimo on the human experience the moment that convention is stripped away.

I know many beautiful people who are every bit the thug from Fury Road. I know many smiling faces that are just as vile as the worst shown in that series of clips promoting Fury Road. You can see them on Facebook discussions, you can see them in protests, you can see them at the traffic light texting nobody on their phone while somebody sits next to them wanting companionship. You can see them in the tattoo parlors as helpless parents pull at the skin of their faces and wonder how and why they failed their children then to hide their crime of upbringing failure—promote that they too will join their children in getting a tattoo on their ass—so to make the whole thing seem more appropriate. You can see the thugs of Fury Road fresh out of their suits and into their golf cloths renting a cart for a quick afternoon game. The Fury Road thugs are in their eyes there too as they flip through Internet porn on their cell phones and the young girls shown there between golf swings while the lady of the house buys new diamond earrings at a jewelry complex ahead of the next charity event. After all, one must show off their current social status within the tribe—no matter if it is a motorcycle gang or a fundraiser for political candidates. They are all thugs. And nobody gets to the heart of the matter better than George Miller.

I can’t wait for his new film. I’m sure it will be one of my absolute favorites.

‘Battle of the Five Armies’: A setting sun on the theater experience

There was a bit of a flare to the attendant who gave us popcorn at the movie theater—just a bit of life that desired to emerge from beyond the staleness of employment. Instead of just scooping the popcorn into the large overpriced cup, he spun it around his finger like a six-gun fast draw and once full returned the scoop to a holster on the side of the popcorn maker. I told him I appreciated the flair as the young 17-year-old was glad I noticed. It was good to see today in the eyes of a young person someone not yet defeated but looking to the future with ambition and flair. It made our trip to see the bittersweet last Hobbit movie Battle of the Five Armies that much more wonderful.

My readers here know that I am likely to give the film a glaringly optimistic review because when something impresses me, I do get excited about it. Like the kid at the popcorn machine, I have spun such things around my fingers for several decades, and still do. When I see the same effort in the products I use, whether it is popcorn or a new movie, I enjoy the spectacle fully. And I did.

But there was constant sadness while watching this last film. It wasn’t the film’s fault—but it was in the presentation itself. All during the film I was thinking that this was the last time. It would be the last time I’d get to see such a fabulous Gandalf played by Ian McKellen, or a Bilbo Baggins played by Martin Freeman or any number of the other cast. These Peter Jackson films are just epic spectacles which made much more accessible the great work of J.R.R. Tolkien.   On the business end of things, these Hobbit films almost didn’t get made with union trouble brewing and Tolkien family squabbles missing the point of the films entirely. If J.R.R. Tolkien were alive today he’d be impressed with Jackson’s efforts, but the parasitic studio system driven by union wage labor is lost to the central message of this latest film, that sickness that Thorin has throughout this last film, the greed of the gold and what it does to otherwise good minds was evident throughout the movie.

The metaphor of the movie was simple; the dragon Smaug protected the various races of Middle-Earth from their own internal greed by representing a greater threat which united them. The moment that the threat was removed, the various societies of Middle-Earth sought out the Lonely Mountain to bask in its treasures. It wasn’t lost to my eyes that some of the rewriting that Jackson had done in the film was intended to accentuate more fully the negative experience he had while bringing the Hobbit to life in the first place—particularly dealing with the Hollywood community. Due to his magnificent skill as a director he built on the Hobbit film set for all three movies a family atmosphere that caused the heavy actors like McKellen, Cate Blanchett and Hugo Weaving to cross over the union desire to picket the film as Jackson resisted the attempts from labor to take control.  The labor unions involved knew what to expect out of the Hobbit films because the Lord of the Rings trilogy had been so successful winning so many Academy Awards. Not this time, the Hobbit films may be loved by the fans, but Hollywood internally is scoffing at Jackson and his cinema family who chose to stick together instead of giving way to the Wilshire Blvd thugs. There’ll be no awards for this Hobbit film of Five Armies, even though it deserves them. The politics of Hollywood won’t allow it. But Jackson cleverly applied his own frustrations to the characters barricaded into the Lonely Mountain and told the story much more potently than anything ever written by Tolkien because of that conflict.

The film was loaded with so many metaphors like the one previously described that it will continue to be unraveled for years to come. However, for me, it was sad to watch the last of each scene knowing that it may never come again that such an assembly of talent was put on the screen for the purpose of such a grand exploration of the nature of evil. From the music to the behind the line technicians, The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies represents the very best of what movie makers can pull out of their craft for the enjoyment of their audiences. There was never any remark of a sexual nature in any of the films, there was never any sophomoric humor presented, each movie culminating with this last one had a sincerity within that is extremely rare and comes largely by the fact that all the Jackson films are essentially foreign films from Wellington, New Zealand and not made anywhere else. They have a country innocence about them that is pure and good in virtually every way. While Hollywood itself will continue to have individual successes—as 2015 is shaping up to be a big financial year with a new Mad Max film, Jurassic World, and a new Avengers film ending the year with another Star Wars movie—the overall health of the industry is very sick. Of the movies mentioned they are all dust offs from an earlier time. There is nothing original about them and people are only going to pay for a dust-off so long and pay so much money. The vacuum of creative ability that is on the horizon from 2020 on is truly terrifying to a culture like the United States that loves its intellectual media—it’s music, its movies, its television and so forth.   The Hobbit films are unique in that they are truly an honest and loving approach to a well established source material that was beloved to begin with—made only better through Jackson’s efforts. It will be a long time if ever that such a thing happens again.

So my wife and I sat to the very end of the very last credit until the theater lights came on and the cleanup crew came to prepare the place for the next showing. I really didn’t want to leave the theater because once we did the big screen experience of Jackson’s Hobbit films would be over forever for us. I wouldn’t make it back to the theater to see it again before it had its run, and I knew that Middle-Earth would never be shown so gloriously again on such a large format.   Sure, many homes these days have nice theater systems which in many ways rival the movie theater experience. More and more I prefer those over the theater where it cost twenty dollars for two medium Cokes and a bucket of popcorn. But the kid at the counter who dished out the snack with some flair made the twenty bucks worth it, and Jackson made going to the movies fun for what feels to me like some of the last times.

Of the coming slate emerging from Hollywood in 2015 and 2016 there is a lot that I will personally be excited about. I love stories—particularly movies. I love books, I love folklore, mythology—I love anything that shows creative impulse even if such a thing shows itself in a Power Point presentation. I love to see minds on fire and often in really good movies, which is what you get to experience as a theater dweller, the effort is generally easy to see when it’s there. But at my age time is moving very quickly. Two years of movies won’t be enough to fill that hunger that I have and there aren’t a lot of promising films coming after this next slate of blockbusters. The Hobbit is one of those spectacles that are unusually good in every category of film production so it isn’t something to take lightly when seeing it at the movie theater.

I wish every movie was like the Battle of the Five Armies. To see Gandalf captured among a hidden evil with Galadriel coming to his rescue to vanquish the threat to a far off region to regroup for the future Lord of the Rings trilogy was the kind of stuff that makes you want to purchase a $20 dollar popcorn. But there isn’t much out there anymore that does and for that I felt like this last Hobbit film was more of a setting sun than just a trip to the movies as an encroaching darkness envelopes a creative culture that I truly enjoy—and will miss.

Being Judgmental: Be sure to throw rocks at glass houses often

I have heard some of the dumbest things over the last few weeks that I believe I have ever heard from the largest contingent of individual minds. Most of the reason is that it has been the Holiday Season and that inevitably puts you in touch with people you only speak to a few times a year. Between all the Christmas parties on a professional end, and all the family functions, the last two weeks of December puts you in touch with a lot of people if you happen to know them. Of course conversations spawn from these interactions which for me is often frustrating and by the time I enter the new year I am ready to never speak to another soul and return to my stacks of books as my favorite pastime due to the let down in finding out how little is on everyone’s minds. This is a typical reaction at least in my house but this year for whatever reason it was much worse. I would attribute this to the emergence of the demographic group—the 25 to 35 year olds who feel that their time for respect has come and that they have arrived to the adult world. What is discovered when talking to them is that they have microwaved intellects that begin as a frozen turkey only to be blasted for five minutes on high to emerge as a steaming carcass on the outside. But inside they are still frozen solid and are completely unthawed for consumption. This is most realized in the most usual banter that comes from them—and those pathetic souls who are in their middle years who wish to be just like them—that humans are not to pass judgment against each other, so to hide their evils. I can’t say how many times over the last two weeks that I have heard “don’t judge” as part of the dialogue.

Anyone who has had interactions with the Church has heard the Matthew quote from 7:1-6, “We must judge ourselves and judge our own acts, but not to make our word a law to everybody. We must not judge rashly, nor pass judgment upon our brother without any ground. We must not make the worst of people. Here is just reproof to those who quarrel with their brethren for small faults while they allow themselves in greater ones. Some sins are as motes, while others are as beams; some as a gnat, others as a camel. Not that there is any sin little, if it be a mote, or a splinter, it is in the eye; if a gnat, it is in the throat; both are painful and dangerous, and we cannot be easy or well till they are got out. That which charity teachers us to call but a splinter in our brother’s eye, true repentances and godly sorrow will teach us to call a beam in our own. It is as strange that a man can be in a sinful, miserable condition, and not be aware of it, as that a man should have a beam in his eye, and not considered it; but the god of this world blinds their minds. Here is a good rule for reprovers; first reform thyself.” Or in other words, don’t throw rocks in glass houses, we are all sinners and therefore not qualified to judge others—so leave that business to the church, pay your offerings and leave your neighbor be.  That is part one of this tragedy of modern times. Part two is that the secular public school system has used this ingrained tendency to further destroy in young minds the natural process of being human—and that is to think—and therefore to judge one’s surroundings and path through life.

When it is being demanded that one should not judge another in either the Biblical or secular context, what is expected is for one to turn off their minds and simply not think. Those people are expected to just leave the business of judgment to others in the church or some unknown deity interpreted by mankind itself. Just leave judgment to the authorities—more or less. Well, the result is the kind of sheer stupidity that I heard over the 2014 Holiday which led to my opinion about Facebook. (CLICK HERE TO REVIEW) Only an idiot would turn off their judgment to endorse some of the vile things uttered from the mouths of a very spoiled demographic catered to for their entire lives only to be unleashed unprepared upon the world to assume that they are done cooking like the quickly microwaved Turkey—hot to the touch but ice-cold and completely unthawed in the center. While the Church has played its part in the debacle the ultimate failure is in the public school and college system.

Many of us noticed this ten years ago when we first started fighting school levies when it was obvious that the public school system was failing miserably in teaching kids fundamentals about life and navigating through it—and charging tax payers premium fees for the service which essentially was a baby sitting opportunity for working parents too busy with their careers for the job. Now we are seeing the result of that chaotic lifestyle in these young people who are suddenly entering adulthood justifying the sins of their own loved ones with a Christian mantra against judgment backed with the secular public schools advocating placing their faith in the greater good of society rather than in their own intelligence.

Judgment is part of the human experience. We do it when we drive a car, when we decide what kind of food to eat, what we do for a living, how we conduct virtually every part of our life. Without judgment, we are rudderless animals poised for self-destruction. It is completely asinine to expect a family to sit back and watch a child ruin their lives on drugs while running around with a terrible crowd of miscreants without passing judgment on the kid or the people who paved the way toward that type of social destruction. Then for other family members to swarm to the defense of the bad behavior under the guise of not judging—as if the matter should be left to God through a repentance process. Meanwhile, evil is allowed to spread from person to person like a common cold to infect many instead of a few and everyone is just supposed to stand around and be happy about it? No. That is not how things work and anybody who then uses the Bible as a crutch has not studied the Bible properly. Not passing judgment on others allows evil to spread like fire among dry timber—fast and furious. I would argue in addition that the Biblical passivity toward judgment was caused by faults in the minds of man while interpreting “God’s Word” during a time when the Church wanted to rule the world as the premier authority on all things—namely science, so it can’t be completely trusted and only “judgment” will allow such a conclusion.

Another derogatory comment that I have personally heard all my life is that it is bad to have a “Holier than thou” approach to life—as if to say nobody is perfect. This idea that I was perfectly willing to throw rocks in glass houses knowing full well that I didn’t live in one, was somehow bad.  It has led me to a lot of trouble not because of anything illegal or improper, but because it stood in stark contrast to the surrounding world and their values formed by thoughtless surrender to non-judgment. The “holier than thou” mantra has been cast in my direction to my beginnings including the bus ride that I have talked about before when I was in the fourth grade and a pack of fifth graders told me they’d beat me up if I didn’t take the hit of speed they were trying to force down my throat on the bus ride back home from school. I threw the pills out of the window as I vowed never to take any drugs of any kind. I got into a big fight and hurt some of the kids and I got into a lot of trouble—and that wasn’t the last time. I did the same for many years to many more people all in a fight against the spread of drugs.

When it comes to young people I have earned the right to tell them they shouldn’t smoke, they shouldn’t do drugs, and they shouldn’t get drunk. I don’t do any of those things and I never have, and I never ever will. In regards to drinking it was always about showing that I could still command my senses against the current of alcohol consumption which is a practice I still embark on. In over a quarter century of adult life there isn’t one person who could come forward and declare they saw Rich Hoffman drunk and senseless anywhere at any time. That’s not to say that I haven’t drank 5 to 6 dunkel mugs at the Hofbrauhaus in Newport just because I enjoyed the old German beverage. But for me it’s always been about mastering command over intoxicants, not in surrendering to them—ever. Mind over matter in every case. If beer and alcohol were outlawed it wouldn’t hurt my feelings in the least, and I think drugs of every kind, like cocaine, heroine, meth, and marijuana should be not only be illegal, but should be removed from planet earth and launched into a nuclear furnace at the center of the universe. I hate them that much. I hate drugs and I hate drug abusers. I won’t vote for Rand Paul just because of his loose stance on drugs—that’s how bad I hate drugs in our culture. But I walk the talk and always have—as I do with everything else in my life.

Being “holier than thou” is a good thing. It is good because it makes those conducting their life in a bad way feel bad—and that is “good.” And to determine that holier than thou judgments have to be made. It doesn’t make a person who despises drugs and their abuse among loved ones a hypocrite because they don’t want to associate with the dregs of society. It makes them honest. And honesty is the core tenet of any Biblical study. For those who do wish to pass judgment—which the world needs a lot more of—live up to your opinion—stand by it through thick and thin. Don’t allow the youth trained toward evil to waver your thoughts as “old” and “outdated.” To surrender to this opinion is to allow evil to spread without restraint, and that isn’t what the world needs.

And to those who point and call those of us with opinions as hypercritic aristocrats, and violators of Christian doctrine, look at your pathetic lives and declare honestly that not having judgment in your life has been good in any way at all. The failures of the present point back to that long ago conversation in the kitchen of our youth when we had the argument about marijuana smoking and whether or not it was harmful. Look at your lives now and what that permissiveness has done to not only your lives, but those of your children. And the only way you can hide the crime and own stupidity is to insist that nobody judge you, that everybody is a sinner, and that nobody is any better. But guess what—they are. And that is a grim reality that all the evasion in the world can’t hide with backward chants, Ouija boards, and cries for help beyond the grave to rescue the circumstances of the present due to extremely poor judgment. By the way all those things have been called out against me by people who didn’t want me to “judge” them, and I have learned to deal not just with man, but the armies of thuggish demons who are so easily seduced by those Ouija boards to assist the feeble-minded in trade for some merit. I know a lot about this issue—believe me. The overman concept was forged in those fires.

I am holier than thou because I can be. And I’m very proud of it. It is the best weapon to fight evil with, and an armament that I wish everyone in the world to possess. If I have it my way, which eventually is my goal—they will. It starts with not feeling guilty and proceeds to be forged with honesty, contemplation and the willingness to move out of a glass house so that you can then throw rocks at it. And it ends with passing judgment often and with great fanfare so that the work of evil has nowhere to hide under the scrutiny of intelligence. So my advice to you dear reader is judge, and judge often and feel not an ounce of guilt about anything. Because “they” use that guilt as leverage against your opinion—and that is how evil spreads and the good work of good is destroyed forever.

Thank goodness the Holiday is over. My books are much better company.

Why Facebook Only Helps the Second-Hander: Keeping the “frenemies” at a proper distance

By now it should be clear why I do not participate in Facebook other than some very remote advancement of my literary projects. Even with those, I do not engage in the practice of associating with the mass collective of society whether it be friends, family, or “frenemies” in any means whatsoever other than this blog, which consists of top down advice and opinions intended to do two things—act as a personal notebook for myself to work out complicated topics—and to offer advice to those who need it—which is most of the world. For a person like me, there is nothing to be gained by Facebook associations. It is only good for the type of person who feels they need to justify their existence with “like” buttons and foul language to pluck up their social feathers in the manner of a peacock.   In that Facebook realm it is only the busy body type who are always on the lookout for what everyone else is doing who prosper when in their private lives they are miserable failures—Facebook allows them to be second-handers in society, to steal ideas and concepts from others via a “Facebook wall” then pass them off as their own gaining notoriety within a collective group—whatever it may be. So for me, there is absolutely nothing to be gained by Facebook. Yes it connects people from all over the world; yes it is a great way to get product notoriety—but there is a cost. It allows the bottom feeders of civilization to feel like they are equal contributors to intellectual dialogue and legislative value within circles of influence—and that is proving to be detrimental, culturally.

There is a reason that the founders of Facebook ended up gloriously rich primarily by investors seeking data collection—particularly among government agencies. The reconnaissance of who knows who and how and what little brat is harassing the latest elderly grandpa over some old-fashioned idea of family value—is just the kind of scouting report that enemies of tradition seek to capture. No longer does the CIA, or FBI have to seek complicated warrants to spy on potential threats to their existence—they just check the Facebook wall of a potential target to see what they are saying, and who likes their opinions, and who hates them. If there are those in dissidence, it is far easier to steer those minds in a negative direction against the target than to launch a complicated counter-strike involving hundreds of man hours and a lot of foot work to do the same just ten years ago. Now, the soothsayers and busybodies rule the planet from Facebook leaving those of a private mind at a severe disadvantage as the chaotic thinkers through social media now have equal latitude in cyberspace with the wise and well-earned intellect.

This is just an example, but it is one that I witnessed from afar over the Holiday season among a particular group of such busy bodies. An elderly couple wanted a family photograph but one grandchild is having particular trouble with drugs and personal social destruction. The parents of this child of course are defensive as to any judgment because ultimately it points back to them as the ones at fault for their kid’s behavior. So the friend of this poor child was brought into a family photograph for Christmas causing all kinds of commotion. The friend to the rest of the family is a symbol of the type of person who has greatly deteriorated the mind of the beloved family member fair or not—so further memories of such a person was not welcomed into the family photograph, which caused quite an uproar on Facebook.

Those most guilty of allowing the mind of the fallen child to waver on self-destruction came out on Facebook fanning the flames of discontent against the elderly couple bringing in members of the family who weren’t even remotely connected to the situation other than maybe seeing each other at a wedding or funeral, to offer their defense of the vanquished child bringing equal opinion to the matter with collective banter—as if by measuring the number of opinionated fools somehow outranked the few who were close to the situation and hurt by it. Of those are people like the grandparents who simply are on Facebook to talk to old friends and family during their silver years as travel and frequency of correspondence is increasingly difficult due to their advanced age. Once the democratic banter against the grandparents had raised to a fever pitch then the youthful felt entitled to banter four letter expletives generally making fools of themselves as the parents of these children and their extended families of liberal round hounds mixed with drug induced whores cheered from the sidelines marveling in the power of democracy that Facebook provided them.

As cowardly souls in their normal every day lives going nowhere fast and stuck like wooly mammoths in the La Brea tar pits Facebook gave these mass swarms of know-nothings the latitude to hen-peck at the truly wise and intellectual just because they don’t like the opinions shaped by the elderly personal values. The cause of the poor child’s problems in question to begin with is that the parents screwed up in the upbringing causing directly the problems at hand. So to cover up that error, they seek the blanket of social acceptance through Facebook ridicule to justify their quandary of failure in lieu of collective salvation.

That is another trend of social media that is emerging—it allows the cowardly and stupid to sit from behind the comfort of their computers and cell phones to become suddenly bold in justifying their failed existences by summation of a collective opinion consensus among others of like mind without fear of retaliation. Because social media is so effective in combining those of like mind together, and the number of idiots in the world greatly outnumber the intelligent, it is easy for such faulty thinking people to build a consensus against wisdom by collective input. If a series of drug addicts and former bar whores believe that a judgment against some particular social value is too intense by a well-hated target, that slug of a personality can then seek out aunts, friends, or that loser drunk uncle who otherwise has no valuable opinions except to add to a “like” button on a Facebook wall, and other connected losers and social outcasts to suddenly be the most important people on the planet when they can gang up and pile drive against someone because their view of the world is too “old fashioned.”

I know all too well who my frenemies are, and unlike most, I feel absolutely no impulse to make them into “friends” by seeking their counsel about anything—anything at all. If anything, I seek ways to make more “frenemies” so that my daily correspondence is made more simple allowing me more time to do the things I truly enjoy. It is good to be pleasant and fair to all people—once. But once they screw you over in some literal or intellectual way—it is time to place them on the frenemie list and discard them from the inner circle of cherished memory forever. Facebook allows those fenemies to appear as friends when really it just empowers them to become more like succubus types behaving as social destroyers than any kind of wise counsel granted from a trusted relative or friend. Facebook is only good for the despot–the intelligent introvert has nothing to be gained from the interaction but to place themselves on a cross to be picked apart by the know-nothings and dregs of society.

For this blog, my opinion is all that matters. What I write and why I write it is my own decision and device. I do not seek the approval of one other human being on planet earth in providing it. The opinions come from deep within my own thought process and does not require anybody to “like” it. But when I see validation to my original opinions play out on the Facebook stage, just remember that I told you so. To the parents of the little girl in the example, I explained to them what was going to happen if they didn’t listen over twenty years ago to the wisdom my wife and I offered. But they chose to run away from that help, and screwed up their lives and those connected to them forever. And to further conceal their mistakes they found it opportune to pounce on a person whom I respect a great deal just because that person had an opinion about the poor choices of a lifestyle that has been conducted by that child and they didn’t want a hint of that in a family picture commemorating the future.

In Facebook misery loves company, and they do find themselves there easily. Once they do, they unite together to become a dangerous band of cyberspace thugs able to pardon their poor decisions in life with collective opinion attacking like a mob all those who fall outside of their social virus of Facebook groupings. But even through the expletives and tough talk the real measure of success in life—and death—is in how one lives and how things really end up in the end. For those who speak loudest against traditional opinion of value are those who even today are drug abusers, sex addicts, failed intellectuals, destroyed personalities, conservatives turned to liberal hippies with massive college debt, homeless wrecks cast aside by their own stubbornness and a youthful culture that is hell-bent on doing it all again by drowning out the wisdom of their elders who simply love them too much to let them fail without saying something. Facebook takes that traditional wise voice of old and drowns it in a collective goo of democracy providing the illusion that mistakes can be redeemed if enough people believe something to be true. The only people who really benefit from Facebook are the second-handers, the beings that live through other people. Those who don’t function from this modern social parasitic entity gain nothing, but lose a lot—which is why I don’t participate in Facebook—and I never will. I deal with enough “frenemies” on a daily basis at just about every level—and family is not immune to that experience. So there is nothing to be gained by breaking bread with them on Facebook. Because being a person of value, they can only take that value from you. They have nothing valuable to contribute otherwise making Facebook a lost cause.
