The “Power of Pull”: How John Galt is the fictional modern Christ and why

In the middle of a Mexican town heavily dominated by Catholic inspired residents–largely very poor, I saw one of the most ambitious renderings of The Passion week in my life.  The entire town showed up to follow an outdoor drama of The Christ’s crucifixion.  In their play, Jesus was tried and convicted in the town for all to see and forced to carry his cross all through streets shut down by local law enforcement.  My wife, who is the type of person who will do exactly the opposite of what three thousand other people are doing stood off to the side bewildered why so many people would think to gather in one place to be a part of something they clearly couldn’t see from their vantage point.  The mass collectivism exhibited by the town was stunning and she could only look at me in shock.  But to me, who had grown up around religion, the exhibition was not surprising.  The people of the small Mexican town shared much with the ancient Hebrew people in Jerusalem so their re-enactment of Jesus Christ’s crucifixion was probably very close to how it would have actually looked in the streets of the old Holy city built during a long struggle by the Jewish people. For me, such displays are never about the wonder of sacrifice as is usually the focus of those who pledge themselves to Jesus for eternal redemption.  I never fault people who do not know any better but to follow behind a parade of their peers blindly.  My wife and I stood off to the side in casual observation knowing that the real tragedy of Christ’s crucifixion was not that Jesus would be hung on a cross to be sacrificed so that all the people of the world would be saved in the eyes of God; it was why Jesus was killed in the first place.  The poor people in Mexico like the Jewish people in Israel during the time of Jesus had a lot in common.  Drug lords and corrupt politicians run the towns in Mexico where the drama I witnessed took place, and the Jewish people during the time of Jesus were controlled by high priests and Roman authorities with virtually the same motivations—control of the population so that they could sap the wealth off their labor.  The message Jesus had for the people of Jerusalem at Herod’s Temple was essentially the same that John Galt had in the fictional novel Atlas Shrugged written without the pretext of religion, that the “power of pull” is the highest concern of the corrupt and the powers who desire such “pull” will do anything to maintain it.  It is for this reason that The Holy Bible and Atlas Shrugged are the two most popular books read in the modern Library of Congress.

The poor people in Mexico like the poor people in ancient or even present day Jerusalem tend to lose the message that Jesus uttered at the temple when he stepped in and overturned all the vendors’ tables attempting to put a stop to all the corrupt dealings conducted there during the week of Passover.  The focus of The Passion events always resides on the crucifixion, but for me the cause of the execution is far more important.  People struggling just to find their next meal discover they have little control of their lives and as a result put their sentiments behind the tragic end of Jesus, instead of truly grappling with the message that placed him into so much trouble in the first place.  Ayn Rand in her epic novel Atlas Shrugged understood this, and told nearly the same story with her character John Galt without being hidden behind religious metaphors, so that the impact of her message would not be lost, as it often is when studying The Bible in churches.

Before people become upset with me about comparing the Passion of Christ to Atlas Shrugged understand that I have studied and acted in renditions of The Passion many times.  I have played in stage plays virtually every role in The Passion from Nicodemus to Jesus himself so I have a very good understanding of the events that led up to Jesus and his execution and I see the parallels to the story of Atlas Shrugged to be purposeful on behalf of Ayn Rand.  Rand without question hoped that her warnings would not be lost behind the tendency of civilization to find the value of such stories in sacrifice, instead of attacking the real villain, the “power of pull.”  Matthew 26:57 states that Jesus was taken to the house of Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders were gathered together.  Matthew 27:1 adds that the next morning the priests held another meeting. Mark 14:53 states that Jesus was taken that night “to the high priest” (without naming the priest) where all the chief priests and the elders gathered and in Mark 15:1 it adds that another consultation was held among the priests the next morning. Luke 22:54 states that Jesus was taken to “the high priest’s house” (without naming the priest) where he was mocked and beaten that night and in 22:66 it adds that “as soon as it was day”, the chief priests and scribes gathered together and led Jesus away into their council.[9][10][11] Jesus was taken to the high priest because the message that he brought with him to Jerusalem was a dangerous one that countered what the Pharisees were attempting to preach to the Jewish people.  In the same way John Galt was tortured in Atlas Shrugged to force him to yield to collective rule, to renounce his beliefs for the benefit of all world governments.

The Pharisees had worked out a deal with the Roman power structure within their empire which profited them greatly.  They wished to believe in a similar way that James Taggert did in Atlas Shrugged that they were the good and benevolent acting for the “greater good” of the Jewish people.  Of course they were truly acting on their own self-interest behind the cowardice of political pull.  Jesus exposed this to the people of Jerusalem not maliciously, but simply through his authenticity—and individuality.  Alone Jesus stood against the powers behind Jerusalem politics, and he was targeted for assassination because of his resistance to collective obedience to the existing powers. He was offered a chance on several occasions to take peaceful allegiance behind the Pharisees in Jerusalem but Jesus turned them all down insisting each time that he was the Messiah and that he was the “Chosen One.” The message behind Jesus taken without religious context is essentially the same as John Galt insisting that he is the power that drives the world.  John Galt did not mean that he alone drove the world, but that it was through people like him that the engines of existence were motivated.  Jesus intended the same message and the Pharisees couldn’t accept such a reality—because it would essentially put them out of the religion business and destroy the safety they had arranged with the Romans for their own preservation.

For the same reasons, James Taggert worked with Hank Reardon’s wife to bring the steel tycoon to trial.  They conspired to protect what they believed was the good of mankind by making Hank a sacrificial lamb to the urges of collectivism.  Later in the book John Galt is captured because of his love for Dagny Taggert, and he is tortured in a similar fashion.  He is then offered to the mob to withdrawal his messages of individual sovereignty by the point of a gun, which he refuses.  He is then stripped naked and tortured through electric shock seemingly to his death because he refused to yield to the forces of collectivism constructed by the “power of pull.”  Jesus was betrayed by Judas for the price of 30 pieces of silver.  Judas wanted to believe that he was doing right and uniting the Jewish message behind the Pharisees.  But in reality he simply wanted the money and was no different from anyone else who cowers behind the “power of pull” to align themselves with any power for their own profit.

Peter declared that he would stand with Jesus to the bitter end but discovered as Christ predicted that he would betray the Messiah three times before the cock crowed on the following morning.  Peter was very bold in his proclamations until he was faced with his own demise because he was not aligned with the “power of pull” which the Pharisees had negotiated through collectivism to suppress the minds of man.  This denial by Peter of Jesus is similar to how Hank Reardon allowed himself to be convicted by The Government.  He had “sinned” in cheating on his legal wife and sought to protect his true love Dagny Taggert.  His need to preserve this love forced him to comply with the “power of pull.”  In the novel Atlas Shrugged, John Galt never yields to such a temptation even at the point of death, which makes him the most pure form of individuality and therefore worthy of Dagny’s love.  Jesus in real life did what Ayn Rand created in a fictional context.  The heroes never yielded to the powers of man—to the “power of pull,” in either the Passion of Christ or Atlas Shrugged.  Rand seemed to be attempting to strip away the religious context of The Passion to tell the story of John Galt so that the essence of the message would not be lost behind the human tendency toward sacrifice in religion.

The people of Jerusalem like the poor people in the Mexican town were suppressed by forces their intellects would not permit them to be freed from.  The Pharisees had proved to even the most staunch supporters of Jesus that even they would cower in fear behind the “power of pull,” the power of collectivism.  Human beings in private understand the message of Jesus at a level beyond consciousness, but they find they cannot act on it, just as Peter failed three times before sunrise.  Many religious groups just as motivated as the Pharisees take the story of The Passion and focused on Jesus’ sacrifice on behalf of all mankind.  The reason for this is that they wish to see donations coming into their churches and governments have openly advocated such behavior for the soul purpose of tax collection—which is at the center of the entire Jesus crucifixion—a little known fact that will be explored vividly in Bill O’Reilly’s upcoming book Killing Jesus.  Institutions of all kinds have taken the message of Jesus and discarded the implication of immoral criticism and instead focused on individual sacrifice to a collective whole.

Ayn Rand wrote her story of John Galt from the point of view where religion and institutions were the villains, and she attacked their premise—which is essentially the message behind Jesus’ actions during Passover.  As sure as I write such things here, there are religious zealots who will proclaim that my comparison of The Bible to Atlas Shrugged is blasphemous—and those same souls will not see that they act just as the Pharisees did against Jesus when he declared himself The Messiah and road into Jerusalem on the back of a donkey, fulfilling a long-held Jewish prophesy.  Jesus was preaching against institutionalism when he gave his Sermon on the Mount, it was not in a church with collections, or organized hierarchies of human behavior where some were above others based on social titles.  When Jesus’ followers declared him to be The Messiah with chants of conquest he was deeply distraught, because the people didn’t understand what he was trying to teach.  The message of John Galt is very similar to Jesus Christ except it’s written against two thousand years of evil that has since transpired since the time of Jesus.  The great John Galt speech is something Jesus Christ would feel right at home in understanding.  Jesus came from a culture that believed sacrifice was needed to appease the gods, or in Jesus’ case—GOD.  His views were radically different from those of the ruling Pharisees.  In the modern age Ayn Rand’s character of John Galt expands on such teachings with a uniquely American frame of reference.  With all the concern over religious perspective removed, the teachings of Jesus and John Galt—relative to their impact on world literature are virtually the same.  It is no wonder that the world gobbles up the words of The Bible and Atlas Shrugged with such vigor, which terrifies all institutional control organizations.

The people my wife and I observed in Mexico celebrating The Passion with a mass display of raw collectivism are a long way from understanding what Jesus or John Galt intended in their literary communications.  With the Mexican people afraid that if they step out of line, they might be killed, raped, or otherwise socially disgraced—there is no room in their minds to comprehend the real messages of Jesus aside from memorizing the sacrificial portions of his sermons.  It is far easier to sit in a church pew and allow a “man of God” to interpret the value of spirituality for them, than to think on their own and stand against an entire empire as Jesus did in The Bible, or as John Galt did against the entire world in Atlas Shrugged.  As I watched the Mexican people follow the actor of Jesus through the town streets dusty with rainless days and an unforgivable sun, I felt pity that I could not help the thousands of people following blindly the idea of sacrifice when the messages that caused the crucifixion were truly what was important yet being missed. My wife and I could only shrug at each other and pay respect to their rituals without insult, for it is more valuable to have rituals that instigate worth than to cast aside morality because fear contorts reason.  Many people use religion to hold their fears at bay.  The idea that one should struggle, sacrifice and live their lives for an after world to finally meet Jesus on the other side of life is what the Pharisees and their Roman controllers intended in order to preserve the power structures that they profited from, which is why they killed Jesus.  Watching history interpret the story of Jesus the way they did, Ayn Rand wrote Atlas Shrugged so the message could not be distorted in any way by any institution.  Rand removed the religious context so that the words of John Galt could not be intercepted by any institution and re-interpreted over the wine glasses of sacrifice.  Jesus was one of the most pure souls who ever graced the world of mankind and it appears that only a fraction of his total essence made its way into history through written form.  But what did survive was a lesson that is still present for those who have eyes to see the message and have the courage to do as he did—and that is to stand against the institutions which seek to preserve the “power of pull” which has held mankind in chains since the first village elected a tribal chief to force submission of all others under their command.  Such arrangements are almost always claimed by the powerful to be the work of God.  Yet Jesus attempted to free the human mind from such shackles and due to his crucifixion and short life, institutions were able to contain the message behind tragedy.  But 2000 years later through a work of fiction, clarity was brought to the literature of mankind through the unique country of America and the raw passion of Ayn Rand who wrote the greatest novel perhaps ever created…………..Atlas Shrugged, which had solved a riddle against institutionalism that had been a plague to man’s mind for all of known history and shattered the long accepted notion that human beings would always be ruled by the “power of pull.”

Satan Living at The White House: History Channel’s Bible explores the 800 million pound elephant

I have studied The Bible most of my life and my approach to religion has been most closely represented by the Harrison Ford character in the film Mosquito Coast than virtually any other portrayal I could otherwise provide.  With that in mind please watch every one of the videos at this site after reading the text, especially the last one as supplemental material to the below article.   I am always looking for and asking questions, so I am not prone to believe everything written down for me that migrated out of the European Dark Ages.  Rather I look to such material for the story behind the story—which is often richer than the superficial metaphors released through the censors of history.  But with that said I love the History Channel’s Bible series immensely and think it has been a wonderful epic that I hope restores some sense of goodness and value upon our society.  In that regard, I believe that Mark Burnett and his wife Roma purposely made up the Satan actor Mehdi Ouzaani to look like President Obama in the History Channel epic for a damn good reason which I will explain.  But first listen to what Zo has to say about the Devil and the Obama resemblance on PJTV.

To understand the situation in Hollywood and why wonderful producers like Mark and Roma Burnett would give money to Obama and the Democrats yet turn around and make Obama the Devil in their fantastic rendition of The Bible is to understand the story of the Prophet Daniel.  When Nebuchadnezzar attacked Jerusalem and took the Hebrews as slaves back to Babylonia to be fattened on its captured nations the pompous king held a fear over the slaves similar to how Obama commands respect.   Nebuchadnezzar came to feel that he was superior to any monarch who ever lived and the Hebrew people were required to bow at his feet and worship as he mandated. For the most part the Hebrew people publicly did as they were told while their true religion was forced underground.  Even the great Prophet Daniel played along with the fanatical Nebuchadnezzar so to preserve his life making himself available to Nebuchadnezzar so that he could best serve his people—the captured and enslaved Hebrews from Jerusalem.  Earning the trust of Nebuchadnezzar Daniel after successfully interpreting the dreams of several of the King’s nighttime visions had earned the right to address him frankly.

“Do I see here the sacred gold and silver vessels that King Nebuchadnezzar brought from our holy Temple in Jerusalem?” Daniel said aloud.  “O King, did you and your dancing-girls and your lords and their wives drink wine from those holy vessels?   Did you toast the idols of your gods and gold, silver, iron, wood, and stone?  Did you do that with the holy vessels, O King?”  Daniel is of course speaking of the destruction of King Solomon’s Temple where the Holy of Holies was ransacked and destroyed.

The king’s eyes became cunning. “We meant no disrespect, Daniel.  But tell me the meaning of those words and I will put a chain of gold around your neck, give you purple robes, and make you third in command of my kingdom.  Unlock this secret to me, Daniel, and these honors shall be yours.”

Daniel worried whether he could dare tell the king that he would soon become insane and that Nebuchadnezzar stood to be condemned to death.  He worried that telling the king this upcoming fact might bring the royal sword across his neck, so he began to speak slowly once an old woman who was the discarded former queen and wife of Nebuchadnezzar prompted him by forming a warning with her silent lips—“Give the king an answer.  Give it quickly.”  So Daniel spoke, “Let your gifts be for yourself.  Give your rewards to another.”  Upon that the king’s hand fell to the hilt of his dagger but Daniel now knew his course, knew that this king was a sinner, an idolater, a living violation of every law of God.  His voice now took on an edge.  “O King, the Most High God gave your father glory and majesty, and when Nebuchadnezzar hardened his heart, the Most High turned him into a beast until he knew that God ruled the kingdom of men.  But you, his son have not humbled yourself.  Instead, you have fought the Lord.  You have brought the utensils from God’s Temple and defiled them with toasts of our own gods.  The true God, who puts breathe into you, who gives you life itself, you have not honored.  So He sent a living hand to write His judgment on you.”

Nebuchadnezzar did not like the prophetic warning which went on to explain that Darius the Mede would take over a divided kingdom between the Persians and the Medes. But Nebuchadnezzar soon fell ill to insanity and lost his capacity to rule, as Daniel had predicted.  When Darius the Mede arrived unchallenged at the gates of the kingdom, the Hebrews fell to their knees to honor their new conqueror of which Daniel quickly befriended to earn the release of his people hopefully from this new tyrant.

Things got off to a rough start between Daniel and Darius especially when the new king became angry and locked Daniel into the lion’s den.  But Darius came around once he had second thoughts and returned hopefully in time to save Daniel from consumption only to find the lions purring like kittens at Daniel’s feet.  This started a chain reaction of events that ended up freeing the Hebrews from their captivity in Babylon.

Fast forward to the Book of Revelations written by a shadowy “second John” figure in the time of Nero which is where the number of the beast 666 is derived from by adding up the consonants of his name.  The essence of this portion of the bible is to properly articulate the influence of Satan upon the world, the same Satan who acted as “The Evil One” or the Devil in Christ’s three temptations.  Satan was animated in The Bible by an unrelenting hatred against God and all goodness, Satan is engaged in a world-wide and age-long struggle against God, ever seeking to defeat the divine plans of grace toward God’s making and to seduce men to evil and their ruin.  As “the deceiver of the whole world” (Rev. 12:9), his primary method is that of deception—about himself, his purpose, his activities, his coming defeat.  Satan was the seducer of Adam and Eve (Gen. 3:1-7; II Cor. 11:3); he insinuated to God that Job serve Him only for what he got out of it (Job 1:9; he stood up against Israel (I Chron. 21:1) and God’s high priest (Zech. 3:1-2).  Under divinely imposed limitations he may be instrumental in causing physical affliction or financial loss (Job 1:11-22; 2:4-7; Luke 13:16; II Cor. 12:7).  He snatched away the Word of God sown in the hearts of the unsaved (Matt 13:19), sows his counterfeit Christians among the sons of the kingdom (Matt. 13:25, 38-39), blinds the minds of men to the Gospel (II Cor. 4:3-4), and induces them to accept his lie (II Thess. 2:9-10). Often he transforms himself into “an angel of light” by presenting his apostles of falsehood as messengers of truth (I Cor. 11:13-15. He clashes in fierce conflict with the saints (Eph. 6:11-18). Is ever alert to attempt to destroy them (I Pet. 5:8), and hinders the work of God’s servants (I Thess. 2:18).  Certain members of the church who were expelled are said to have been delivered to Satan, but with the design to produce their reformation, not their destruction (I Cor. 5:5; I time. 1: 20).  Now, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to compare the Presidency of Barack Obama to the Biblical Satan if all the references mention above are investigated and read in context to compare the work of Obama objectively to that of Satan.  I would dare say that the two are nearly parallel to each other.  Obama’s presidency is built entirely on deception, even down to simple statements about Benghazi, and Fast and Furious.  I don’t even believe him when he discusses his Final Four Bracket picks.  Based on Barack Obama’s actions, I believe he is a perpetual liar that is intentionally deceitful and has aims very comparable to the Biblical definition of Satan.

If I were Mark Burnett and his very nice wife Roma, who believes intently in The Holy Bible, and I looked around Hollywood and knew that I was surrounded by many who have been seduced by evil convinced Obama is an “angel of light,” I might be very cautious of my actions and work very hard not to earn the reprimand of my peers who are acting as agents of evil.  Like Daniel the Prophet I might fear the axe across my neck for speaking the truth.  But in honor of my spirituality and my very soul I would make Obama the Devil in my miniseries so that I was clean in the same way that Daniel spoke carefully in his wording to King Nebuchadnezzar about the downfall of his kingdom.  I believe the Burnetts knew exactly what they were doing and their purpose was for the higher aims of God by naming an evil so evident on Earth with an artistic and acceptable plot device.

To name the evil in public for many people means doom, their careers will be ended, and their families hunted down and killed by skiing accidents and other tragedies.  (Refer to Sonny Bono’s skiing accident several years ago.)  Mark Burnett is not stupid.  The best thing to do if you’re a powerful television producer working in Hollywood surrounded by the encroachment of evil, and are powerless to stop it, is to at least do as Daniel did and make yourself close to King Nebuchadnezzar and Darius the Mede.  You give a little money to Satan to turn his gaze away from your underground worship and in California “faith” has certainly been pushed underground.  If Burnett wants to keep his ability to produce shows like The Bible so that he can do great social good through his connections, he has to play the game like Daniel did because evil is in charge.  The Burnetts did a bold thing with The Bible television series because they referenced the 800 million pound elephant that everyone has been thinking about when it comes to Barack Obama.  Most everyone with a clean mind has been uttering for some time that they believe Obama is the Anti-Christ.  They fear to say such things in public because of progressive ridicule, but around the water coolers, restaurants, and dining room engagements, Satan and Obama go together in conversation as meaning the same thing.

I do not believe it is a coincidence that Obama decided within a week of this controversy caused by Mark and Roma Burnett’s very controversial Satanic reference to suddenly make appeasement with Israel and fly to The Holy Land to visit Biblical relics and show support of Christian and Jewish faith.  In the world of deception which falls from the Obama Administration like snowflakes in a snowstorm the actions speaks louder than the implication.  For those who believe in Satan and either the historical context of The Bible, or even the metaphorical—did anyone ever believe that Satan or the epitome of evil would show up with a long red tail, horns and a pitchfork?  Evil never appears as something disgusting in any culture on Earth, it always comes as a trickster and deceiver of human minds.  It comes through enchantment and popularity—and can be seen best when a president who has had an adversarial relationship with Israel which seems to mimic the modern-day tensions between the Islamic and Jewish faith over the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, flies Air Force One days after he has been called Satan by one of the most popular television programs in history to prove that he is not what he’s being accused of.  Alarm bells should be sounding.

The evidence is easy to see but difficult to admit, and I think the Burnett’s message is quite clear.  They did a good thing—a risky thing, but it needed to be done.  Barack Obama might as well be the Nebuchadnezzar of Hollywood.  In the film business the same forces that put Obama in The White House control all the major trade publications, so appeasing them is paramount if one wants to stay in business.  Obama like Nebuchadnezzar may not be the physical manifestation of Satan, but they are certainly agents of evil no matter what social perspective is analyzing history.  Satan would never appear in a form on Earth where its appearance would be repulsive to the societies of mankind.  Satan might appear behind the mask of a woman’s breasts in a pornographic endeavor, behind the bright lights of a casino, or behind a spread the wealth president shielded by civil rights sins of the past through guilt and complacency.  Ultimately Satan appears behind a smiling face with bright white teeth to conceal an agenda of destruction as the intentional aim.  Such a human mask would have access to the entire world as it transforms itself into “an angel of light” by presenting apostles of falsehood as messengers of truth.  I stand with the Burnetts, their Bible series is timely and important, and never more needed in how it has forced society the world over to look hard at itself and question if the path we are all on is the correct one, and that the Mark of the Beast is metaphorically stamped upon the head of the current resident of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

Second Call Defense: The first defense is a firearm, the second is from the parasites that follow

One of the great themes of this site is to highlight the many ways that progressives have attacked traditional American culture.  Progressives have an intense desire to wean Americans away from all forms of self-reliance so that national collectivism and addiction to government services are provoked.  This has never been more evident than in relation to The Second Amendment of The United States Constitution.  In the good ol’ days when a criminal nut-case broke into a home to steal a loaf of bread and was shot dead by the homeowner on the front porch of their property, the sheriff might come out—make a record of the case while enjoying some corn whisky brewed from a room in the back of the home.  The homeowner would be treated respectfully and with honor and the assumption of guilt would be placed squarely on the character lying on the porch stiffening up due to rigor mortis.  However, not any more—as progressives have seeped like viral insects into every aspect of American culture, legal, media, education, elected office, etc.  The homeowner shooting intruders on their property have become saturated with panicky analysis and over-zealot gun grabbing politicians who want to build careers off their suffering.  Progressives directly and indirectly have destroyed the very concept of individual rights in America for which The Second Amendment seeks to protect.  In 2013 if a homeowner shoots a criminal nut case on their front porch the homeowner will be arrested aggressively and thrown into the back of a police car.  Their computers and personal possessions will be confiscated and scrutinized and the property held by the state until prosecution of the shooter is concluded.  The shooter will be charged with murder as the attacker wasn’t inside the home.  The situation will be made worse when it is discussed that the attacker was only armed with a knife deeming no immediate threat to the homeowner who could have avoided opening the door and hoped the attacker would move away on their own.  Progressive groups would then attack the homeowner in court through testimony stating that the attacker was simply hungry because they lost their job and needed food.  Media outlets will then broadcast the story all over America about how the attacker had a “collective right” to the possessions of the homeowner and that if the shooter had only been willing to share his assets with the attacker both would be alive and free today saving the tax payers hundreds of thousands of dollars in court costs.    When the frustrated defendant proclaims on the stand that “it’s not fair that a nut-case trying to attack their private property had more rights than they did,” the prosecuting attorney would simply respond, “how do you know the slain victim was a nut case?  Are you a psychologist?  Where did you study?  What degree do you hold that enables you to proclaim that the victim was a so-called nut-case?  These are the kind of things only professions are qualified to answer.”  This is why George Lang along with a fistful of other patriots has started a new legal group called Second Call Defense.

In fact that was George Lang playing the hypothetical role of a homeowner defending his property from an attacker.  In the video several examples were given about real life tragedies where the homeowner used a gun to defend their life yet found themselves in financial ruin because of the legal aftermath where parasitic entities sought to capitalize off progressive gun legislation that is entirely too aggressive.  Lang knows a lot from an insider’s track about how the legal system can be just as much of a parasite attacking personal liberty as an intruder in a home.  He is a trustee of West Chester Twp, in Ohio where the community pays its police department better wages than any place else from Pittsburg to Indianapolis.  George has seen firsthand many cases similar to the example above cross his desk not just in his home town but all across America.   This is the primary reason that Lang and his group have teamed up with The Buckeye Firearms Foundation to offer gun owners, supporters of The Second Amendment, and property owners’ legal help through Second Call Defense.  They also offer preventative measures against the progressive encroachment of a legal system gone mad.

http://www.buckeyefirearms.org/node/8823

Progressives wish to believe that government has all the answers and can 100% of the time be relied upon to correct social debaucheries.  Do-gooder politicians like Senator Diane Feinstein have built their careers injecting their progressive beliefs into every tragedy that strategically seeks to focus legal analysis away from individual liberty toward collective salvation.   For well over 100 years now this gradual eroding of personal liberty has shifted the focus of behavioral studies away from any form of property ownership toward collective necessity.  In court shooters will be grilled on the stand as to “how did they knew the attacker was a threat if they were simply on the porch and not brandishing a knife?” The burden of proof falls on the homeowner and not the dead victim as progressive legal interpretations have given the attacker the right to do as they please on the homeowner’s front porch.  The homeowner has an obligation to call the “authorities” who will then inject themselves into the business of the homeowner and supersede their authority on their own property.  To the progressive, the issue is not about guns, or the rights of the shooter, or even the dead body on the porch—the real villain is their hatred of private property and a sinister desire to erase the concept of it from the minds of Americans.

Yet, even if the homeowner called the authorities, there is no guarantee that they will act honorably and in the best interest of the caller.  As George Lang knows all too well, the cops sometimes find that they are not too far away from the decrepit mind of an attacker and are all too tempted to abuse their power at the expense of the homeowner.  Lang had to participate recently in a West Chester Township financial settlement where over-zealous young cops seemingly hungry to prove their manhood beat an un-armed drunk after a fight at a late night sports bar.  The drunk wasn’t even part of the fight that had occurred much earlier but was simply the last person left on the scene.   The cops wanted to exert their authority on someone abusing the man beating him senseless.  Even with video evidence telling the story convincingly the superiors sided with the officers proving beyond doubt that in a court of law, the drunk had little chance of defending himself as all the cops had their stories aligned.  It was when a grand jury examined the case that Lang realized the cops were in the wrong and the decision had to be made to pay the victim in a settlement to avoid further financial detriment to the community because of the police mistake.  CLICK HERE TO SEE MORE ON THE STORY WITH VIDEO.  So even if the cops are called to save the property of a homeowner, there is no way to know what type of officer might show up in a police car these days in a society that values deception over honor.

Second Call Defense was created to provide some help with these types of gun related cases.  Once an attacker decides they want whatever it is that a property owner has, only one threat has been contained if the property owner uses a gun to stop that threat.  From there an entire legal system of progressive activists, deal making politicians, morally deficient law enforcement, and presiding family members who may not have cared one ounce for the life of the defeated attacker, but in death through civil lawsuits and the promise of easy money the life of a typical scum-bag suddenly becomes worth a king’s ransom.  A shooter protecting their property in 2013 America not only must protect themselves from attackers in the middle of the night as shown in the video above, but from the legal parasites who wish to make their careers off the backs of tragedy which is often the real threat.  It is that second threat that Second Call Defense seeks to protect its members from.  No other organization offers such a service in all of America.  Second Call Defense offers training and education on legal firearm use, emergency resources such as a 24/7 legal hotline and upfront cash for attorney retainers and bonds.  Insurance coverage for criminal and civil protection that is backed by the NRA endorsed insurance program is also offered.  Most people can’t afford to put up thousands of dollars to get up to $10,000 upfront for an attorney retainer, immediate cash for a bond up to $250,000, up to $500 per day in wage compensation while in court, up to 40 sessions of psychological support, and up to $250,000 accidental shooting protection, $50,000 criminal defense reimbursement, unlimited civil suit defense protection, and $250,000 civil suit damages protection.  Second Call Defense does all this and more.  The first defense is in the property owner defending their life with a firearm.  The second defense is from the parasites who seek to make livings off the misery left in the wake.  From those, a gun cannot protect anyone.  But now there is a group that can, Second Call Defense.

Many wonder what happens at Tea Party meetings.  Some fantasize that the participants dress up in 1776 outfits and talk about raiding the federal government.  But the reality is much different as can be seen in the video below where members presented updates of political happenings occurring in the local community.  In the case of the example below the general theme of the meeting was highlighting instances where local politicians showed a tendency to take federal money and sacrifice the sovereignty of a state or local management by doing so.  At the West Chester meeting of March 19, 2013 an update of the Butler County Commissioners was given and a very dramatic update with film footage of the West Chester Trustees meeting.  A central Tea Party concern which comes up at many trustee and commissioner meetings locally all over America is the impact of Agenda 21 which is a list of mandates created by The United Nations to impose its will upon The United States negating the effectiveness of elected offices.  Agenda 21 is a far left-winged philosophy constructed by the architects of Socialist International and has cleverly been imposed upon a vast majority of American municipalities riding on the back of federal money, which politicians like West Chester Trustees Catherine Stoker and Lee Wong vote in favor of so they can gain access to the funding.  (CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFO)  George Lang during a recent meeting addressed this issue of Agenda 21 only to get a colorful rebuke from Stoker at the 16:45 minute mark of the below video.

The mistakes that Catherine made during the exchange is the same that Governor Kasich is currently doing with Medicaid expansion in the state of Ohio, the federal government dangles money raised through taxes like a carrot in front of the greedy faces of people like Stoker and the temptation nearly 100% of the time is to grab it.  Stoker and trustee president Lee Wong want the federal grant being argued about at the trustee meeting because it will free up money to be used in other places and provide relief to their budgets.  For a politician creating a new bike path or a new bridge to nowhere is all too tempting as it provides them something to do, and an achievement for which to be re-elected on.  Any time a politician can build something with other people’s money then take credit for the achievement it makes their résumé more attractive to re-election allowing continued access to the perks of elected office.  The architects of Agenda 21 knew this a long time ago.  They knew that Americans would never accept direct infiltration of socialist ideas, so they constructed their plan to exploit the weakness in America of poorly qualified politicians eagerly seeking federal money to prop up their careers instead of managing their finances.

The easiest way to understand this relationship is through any local public school system.  Typically financially strapped school boards are always looking for new federal programs to help them hedge against the costs of their labor force which is always on the rise.  School boards actively apply for Head Start, No Child Left Behind, and Common Core programs so that they can gain access to federal money in the same way that West Chester trustees seek a grant to construct a sidewalk.  In schools which are run by progressive labor unions—the same kind of international forces committed to Agenda 21 strategies shape their policies as well.  They openly push to exceed their payroll from the previous year not so that teachers can be well paid, but so school boards will always have a need for federal money to absorb the 3% to 7% labor increases incurred every fiscal year.  When the labor unions at the national and international level push for more money in their membership they achieve two things, they gain “useful idiots” who are so well paid that they won’t question the source of the money and will fight in the trenches to always apply pressure on management causing them to act irrationally reaching for federal money.  They then can achieve the real objective of superseding local management authority of curriculum decisions by imposing the will of The United Nations which comes with the federal money.  This is the current danger with Common Core instruction.  The federal money allows some pinhead in a faraway land to decide what goes on a school curriculum and the tendency of public unions to continuously be overpaid forcing elected management to the public coffers to accept handouts.  To gain the money Agenda 21 type strategies must be accepted as the condition for taking the money.

Obviously Catherine Stoker did not appreciate George Lang even bringing up Agenda 21.  In all reality she probably has no idea that it may have originated  in some Geneva gentleman’s club constructed on paper over watered down whiskey and lap dances given to comb-over U.N. bureaucrats pretending they are ruling the world through legislation instead of the way their European ancestors did—by the point of a sword.  Stoker like tens of thousands of politicians just like her all over The United States doesn’t want to know about Agenda 21.  They want to simply take the money like a teenager who has just received their first credit card and begin charging all the things they want to buy to a federal credit limit to be paid later by somebody else long after they have built their personal legacies.

After seeing that video and the disgusting transactions that occurred, two West Chester citizens stepped forward to announce that they were going to run for trustee against Lee Wong and Cathy Stoker in the upcoming 2013 election.  It was Mark Welch who stepped forward during the video to announce his candidacy.  Obviously he had been teetering on the subject for some time, and like many, he is busy with his personal business and has better things to do.   Usually it’s the vacant souls who run for office because they need elected office to fill their social identities with something useful.  But this is how management of taxpayer resources becomes so distorted—which prompted Welch to act.  Seeing Stoker so recklessly accept federal grant money for a stupid sidewalk was enough for him to commit to the cause.  Another man after the camera was turned off and the meeting was dispersing announced his candidacy as well.  Mathew King threw his hat into the ring with the intention to help bring fiscal sanity to West Chester by contributing real management to the Board of Trustees for a change.  George Lang is a successful person in his private life so he does not seek office to prop himself up as many do—which is why he can see why taking federal money is a bad idea.  But he is only one vote out of three, and the other trustees who are both up for re-election in 2013 do not share his values.  The other two trustees are obviously using their office to fill a personal void in their lives that can only be filled with other people’s money—and this makes them dangerous necessitating a need for others like Lang to run for elected office.

Both Mathew King and Mark Welch are already independently successful so they do not need the nameplate of elected office to advance their careers.  That is why they should be trustees instead of the typical politician like Stoker who has her hand out for every federal dollar she can qualify for.  Ultimately, these are the kinds of things that routinely happen at local Tea Party events all over the nation.  I have to been to many of them, and spoken at several myself, from Oxford, to Clermont County all falling under the umbrella of The Cincinnati Tea Party where the host of The West Chester Tea Party is also the president.  The people who attend typically are very caring and have arrived at a stage in their lives where they value wisdom and share it openly with the other members.  What I like about Tea Party members most is that typically most of them read, and read a lot.  A love of books and all things literary is a common attribute to Tea Party members.  For that reason alone I would support the candidacy of the two men who vowed to run for the two open trustee seats—because they are most likely to read the fine print of contracts and federal mandates before committing West Chester to federal control designed by far-away legislators seeking to impose progressive manipulation upon local management through Agenda 21.  If not for the Tea Party, there would be nothing to stop such global power grabs and the erosion of freedom which comes from every federal dollar taken by the hand of a worthless politician who wants to build just one more sidewalk to paint upon their tombstones a glory that can only be purchased with other people’s money.

“Do They Not Realize That This Is War?”: Statements on OEA’s Becki Villamangna’s Facebook page

“Do they not realize that this is war?”  These are the kind of “pro-education” advocates that Ohio Education Association representative Becki Villamangna corresponds with on her Facebook account.  Becki is the Communications/Political Action representative for the OEA and she has targeted my friend Kelly Kohls who is the school board president of Springboro for attack many times.  Due to the success of that school district in driving down their labor costs without impacting the tax payers, Becki’s arm of the OEA has aggressively attacked Kohls with all the fury of any combat maneuver in war.  CLICK HERE to read about one of Villamanga’s radical attempts to harass Kelly which I have covered here at the Overmanwarrior’s Wisdom before.  The OEA is clearly frustrated that they have lost many of their battles in Southern Ohio, particularly at the Lakota, Mason, Springboro and West Clermont school districts.  Kelly Kohls has become the focus of the massive Ohio public sector union because she has had the most success in doing what radical progressive educators fear most—management of their financial resources.  However in Northern Ohio where there hasn’t been as much pushback against the unions as there has been in the south, schools around Cleveland are still using the extreme extortion tactics that the OEA are so famous for.  (I say OEA because most teacher unions in the state of Ohio fall under the umbrella of the OEA.)  To education professionals who are COMMITTED to progressive agenda items they are in education not for children, but because they are at WAR with the public who leans toward traditional values.  Such Ohio Education Association tactics that have been attempted on a smaller scale against Kelly Kohls in Springboro are being done on a larger scale in a Cleveland, Ohio suburb as shown in the video below where teachers are on strike and retaliating against the substitute teachers the school has hired to keep the schools open for kids.  Watch this!

The striking teachers feel so entitled to their jobs that they have been posting flyers to neighbors of those employees attempting to apply peer pressure by using the classic “SCAB” terminology against the replacement workers.  The idea behind such a derogatory term is to use collectivism to impose a union will on individuals who simply want to make a living, so that labor leverage can be maintained by the striking employees.  The OEA members who are striking are firmly committed to communism, and are caught in their belief of turning the capitalist society of America into a socialist state-run by the education elite.  They of course don’t call their ideology “communism” by name, but their practice reveals their intentions.

I don’t ask you dear reader to take my word for these accusations.  I simply ask you to look at the facts.  For such proof, as the OEA is locked in their labor dispute in Cleveland trying to push replacement workers out of their jobs before the uselessness of their real teaching value is exposed as a fraud, Becki Villamagna was posting the below comments on her Facebook page during February of 2013.  Becky had just returned from a training class with her members where she received some push back as she attempted to do on the microcosm what the OEA is attempting to do on the macrocosm of Cleveland.  She openly complained about the resistance she was getting from her own members who found her Saul Alinsky strategies too “radical.”  Becki knows what she is doing; she is attempting to apply peer pressure on her OEA members by letting them know about her disapproval seeking other like-minded opinions to build up a consensus against the dissidents.  It’s a variation of The Delphi Technique done on a much smaller scale using Facebook as the Change Agent.  Have a look at her exact dialogue and a couple of responses she obtained.

Recent Becki Villamagna Facebook posting

This morning I gave a training session on electing and working with school board members. Many of you will be shocked to hear that one participant didn’t like me because some of my suggestions were too subversive and were only “dirty tricks.” Share ·

  • George Bozovich Some folks just don’t get it! February 4 at 1:05pm

Patty Ray’s response to Becki Villamagna’s posting says wonderfully what the OEA is all about and how education professionals truly think in their hearts.  The OEA is at WAR with the rest of society which is why they are attacking replacement workers in Cleveland, and why they are attacking Kelly Kohls at virtually turn.  They are at war with anyone who stands in the way of their social advancement of progressive causes and the proof is in the dialogue they use with each other when they think nobody else is looking. Of course you’ll find no newspapers that will cover this issue, because they are in on the deal.

Many, including teachers trained by Becki Villamagna are beginning to see that education is not about teaching kids with the OEA, but is about WAR.  They are just now learning what I have known for many years now.  That realization is the primary reason I named this site what I have…..Overmanwarrior’s Wisdom as opposed to something more conventional………more press friendly.  We are at war with the OEA because they started that war against those of us who value traditional American principles, particularly in education. People like Becki Villamagna, Patty Ray and the nut cases harassing substitute employees in a Cleveland suburb are villains in that war to those of us who want to see goodness being taught to children, and social stability advocated by education institutions.  It is a war by their own declaration, and actions.  I have watched their behavior for many years and decided that if they wanted war, then they’d get war.  They would be beaten intellectually, they would be beaten with radicalism—if need be, and if they wanted to get violent, they would receive it back twice for what they issued.  I prefer the intellectual debate, but when they run out of emotional bullet points and they attempt to attack personal character and toy with violence as their method of coercion they have received it back in return.

They learned this most dramatically a year ago when they tried to smear me with the famous Kroger survey.  CLICK HERE TO REVIEW.  My response was so epic that it made radio news and print media all over Cincinnati and like a football player getting a penalty for retaliating; it is usually the second player that gets the call from the referees.  But I’m willing to take the political penalty because the message to the radicals needed to be clear.  There will be pain inflicted in return for pain issued.  Those are the rules of war as instigated by the education unions.

Wars are not won with kind words and placation.  The OEA members are some of the worst people I have ever had to deal with as to radical social behavior.  They have the destruction of America in their minds and they are terrible people because their ideology makes them corrosive.  They openly use children to execute their maniacal plans for social progressive changes at the expense of society, and this defines their essence.  Wars are won by taking away from the other side the will to continue fighting.  This is what the OEA does to people like Kelly Kohls and the poor substitute teachers in Cleveland.  The OEA attacks them directly hoping to rob them of their will to stand opposed to the union’s progressive agenda.  This is why Patty Ray said on Becki’s Facebook, “Don’t they realize this is war?”  She says it because to the OEA radicals they are at war with the taxpayers.  The answer to Patty is that some do know it, I know it, Kelly knows it and thousand upon thousands of other tax payers know it now, and we are willing to engage.  The effects are already evident within Becki’s own organization.  The teachers in her union are beginning to question her methods and are fighting back against her kind with polite resistance, as Villamagna complained about on her Facebook page.  This dissension in their ranks will only widen over the coming years, and the strength of their movement will be shattered eventually.

I knew this would be the ultimate ending for the OEA union when they first came after me in the fall of 2010.  My critics might call my anger and behavior the results of “thin skin” because they expected me to take their personal attacks with the maturity of a “civilized” “white man,” as defined by progressive strategists and their view of the typical conservative American.  The hero of the OEA–Saul Alinsky described his plans in 1972 to begin to organize the white middle class across America.  The necessity of that project became his book Rules for Radicals which Vicki and the OEA unions certainly gobbled up nearly word for word in their activist practices.  Alinsky believed that what President Richard Nixon and Vice-President Spiro Agnew called “The Silent Majority” was living in frustration and despair, worried about their future, and were ripe for a turn to radical social change.  Alinsky desired to create social mechanisms to entice The Silent Majority into becoming politically active citizens. Even if Vicki Villamagna does not have Rules for Radicals on her book shelf, she has been taught the concepts instructed in that book under different names by her labor union—who widely adopted Alisnky as their prophet for radical change in America.  This is what progressive labor unions have done in our public schools, and what their part in the “WAR” is all about.  Saul Alinsky feared that the middle class could be driven to a right-wing viewpoint if progressives failed in their task, “making them ripe for the plucking by some guy on horseback promising a return to the vanished verities of yesterday.”  So thus, my strategy is now clear and its effects are beginning to be seen as the secret is no longer strategically necessary.  I have read Rules for Radicals and studied Alinsky, so I know what Villamagna is up to when she protests my friend Kelly Kohls.  I know how to beat those enemies of traditional America.  They will be beaten because they were the ones who declared war against traditional America and deserve what is coming.

As time proceeds, more and more logical people will flee from the ranks of the OEA.  They will leave because the OEA will lose this WAR and their power will erode away as their exploitive methods are continually exposed.  One of the great victories in this war is the one where Becki Villamagna has the most at stake with Kelly Kohls because Springboro is a glowing success, and will expose much of what the OEA declared for years to be complete lies.  Once that truth is revealed, there will be major dissention among the labor union ranks and the troops on the battlefield of the OEA will dissolve once their self interest is shown to be outside the union organizations.  The OEA deserves to be defeated, and smeared in the mud because of the way they treat others—namely the innocent workers trying to keep schools in Cleveland open so children can continue learning.  The intent of the radicals in the OEA is clear, and defines why they must lose the war not just quietly, but spectacularly.  As a reader here, and casual participant, you can trust that I will not disappear into a void of oblivion because I set out in this war to win it, not to come to a drawl, or shake hands and make a deal.  I set out to destroy my enemy—those who openly exploit children for their own selfish progressive desires. Kelly Kohls will also continue.  Nothing has stopped her yet, and she is proving correct in her strategies to the great success of the Springboro taxpayers.  But you dear reader can help defeat the OEA by signing the Workplace Freedom Amendment when you see it.  CLICK HERE TO CONTACT.

There is nothing that beats a progressive villain better than giving people the freedom of choice.  Progressives HATE choice just like the socialist/communist hates capitalism.  Choice destroys their order of tyranny.  By supporting Workplace Freedom you allow the teachers who told Becki Villamagna her tactics were too subversive and were only “dirty tricks, the chance to leave Becki’s organization completely which will cut off the money that supports the WAR on the progressive side.  This is how we can beat the evils of progressive advancement—simply by taking away the money they use to attack us.  In the meantime, I will continue to be that guy on horseback promising a return to the vanished verities of yesterday.  I will do it because I believe it.  But I will also do it because it is the surest way to destroy the attack of the progressives into the roots of America from which they seek complete destruction.  And I will enjoy every, single minute of it.  Justice one way or another will be obtained—it will prevail as sure as these words are written.  Yes we are at war and to answer the question of Patty Ray we do know it, and we are coming to claim the victory and enjoy the spoils of war—that was launched against us under a banner of peace.

I participate in this war because I want to be that guy on horseback promising a return to the vanished verities of yesterday and I don’t take a dime from anybody to do it.  I do it because it’s the right thing to do.

Matt Mayer Speaking at the West Chester Tea Party: How to remove John Kasich from office and why

51ENkmLjHZL._BO2,204,203,200_PIsitb-sticker-arrow-click,TopRight,35,-76_SX240_SY320_CR,0,0,240,320_SH20_OU01_It only takes about 350,000 voters to knock Governor Kasich out of the running for a 2014 re-election which is information that state Republicans do not want anybody to know.  Kasich ran for office as a Tea Party governor and he has failed, mainly because he does not support Right-to-Work in Ohio and is attempting to expand Medicaid so that his budget can gain federal money allocated from Obamacare.  Kasich as a Republican governor might as well be Barack Obama as they are both big government politicians who wish to expand entitlement programs in favor of advancing their political careers.   That is what the Tea Party is now beginning to say about Governor Kasich.  The case against Kasich and the true reality behind Ohio health has best been articulated by Matt Mayer who is the author of the new book Taxpayers Don’t Stand A Chance.  He is also President of Opportunity Ohio, and a Tea Party supporter along with his right-hand-man Chris Littleton.  Both men are extremely active in Columbus politics and have the inside track on policy.  In the videos below, they accurately establish that under Kasich Ohio is no better off than if Ted Strickland were still governor, or if Barack Obama was Governor.  Matt and Chris spoke to the West Chester Tea Party in the following videos “packed” with information.

Republicans are terrified of the Tea Party position because they don’t want to lose having a Republican as governor.  For them, they win if they retain their elected seats.  Ideologically, almost all politicians think the same way.  They are universally devoid of principles and only want to do what they have to in order to keep their offices.  They will lie, cheat and steal to retain their seats, so Republicans pull together as a collective to defeat Democrats so that in mass they can keep their elected offices.  At the end of the day Kasich is absolutely no different from Barack Obama because both will do whatever they have to in order to win re-election.  They function from a lack of personal conviction.  In Kasich’s case, he is the leader of the Republican Party in Ohio by default, so as a collective unit, other Republican Senators and Representatives get in line behind Kasich’s strategy, and for the most part everyone sticks to the same story.  For the Tea Party, who simply wants fiscal responsibility, limited government, and free markets, if the Republicans aren’t giving them those things, then the politicians have failed to do what they were elected to do.

Many of those politicians will call people like Matt and Chris “extremists” and radical “right-wingers.”  They will do everything they can to discredit the efforts of any Tea Party patriots so that the greatest threat to their parasitic existences can be eliminated.    Matt Mayer is President of Provisum Strategies where he provides strategic and tactical political policy advice to public and private-sector clients.  Mayer also serves as a Visiting Fellow with The Heritage Foundation, America’s top think tank, where he writes and speaks on national security issues.  He is also a Research Fellow at the Oklahoma Council of Public Affairs.  Mayer’s first book, Homeland Security and Federalism: Protecting America from Outside the Beltway argued for reversing the federalization of homeland security by returning power to the states and localities.  I could go on and on about Matt Mayer, in fact his “about the author” section of his book goes on for two pages of experience at both the federal and state level positions.  He is the recipient of the ABA-BNA Excellence in Labor & Employment Law Award and has given testimony to the U.S. Congress, Texas House and Senate, the Ohio House and Senate, appeared on Fox News, C-Span and on and on.  When it comes to politics, Matt is a genius and his friend Chris Littleton seen in the next video is equal in many ways.  The information that Chris will provide below is stunning, and one of the best kept secrets in politics.

For most political insiders and industry brick builders, their first thoughts about people like Matt or Chris is that if they are so brilliant—such extraordinary minds–then why aren’t they running the Republican Party instead of Karl Rove.  Why are they wasting their time giving free speeches and traveling all over the state and country without any prospect of “profit?”  As Matt finished his speech above and Chris began I watched Mayer leave.  After giving me a wave goodbye he stepped out into the cold March evening and started up an average looking weathered car to drive off to his next speech.  At the end of the day he’d drive back to his home in Dublin, Ohio putting hundreds of additional miles on his car promoting a book that he is donating 100% of the proceeds to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Library.  Chris could tell almost the same type of story.  I have spent many evenings speaking with Chris and can attest to his sincerity.  Chris or Matt could make millions of dollars exploiting the system the way Kasich is doing currently along with hundreds of other state Reps, Senators, and their ornamental lapdogs—but they don’t.  Both men know so much about politics that they could be rich beyond measure if they chose to, but instead they speak at events like the West Chester Tea Party and write books for free, because they simply want to educate society.   They do what they do because they are good people who care with all their heart and souls about the world around them.

Kasich in the quiet of his office when all the other politicians have left his ear would probably wish he could be either Matt Mayer or Chris Littleton.   It takes a strong man to have the knowledge to crush enemies and exploit their toil for all the gold one can carry away in their pockets, yet avoid doing so.  Most politicians exploit every opportunity to their advantage.   But to walk away from the temptations of exploitive wealth and do what’s right is reserved for only the best men.  The reason people like Matt and Chris are so outraged at Governor Kasich isn’t because they think ill will of him.  They are outraged because they have not sold their souls to political life and still have their ideas intact.  They have not compromised their beliefs in favor of a political career as Kasich has, so they earned the ability to be critical of those who have.  The Tea Party they speak to, and through with books like Taxpayers Don’t Stand A Chance also have the right to be critical of John Kasich and his Republican stooges.  Republicans along with Democrats have lied, stolen, and manipulated to keep their offices, so it goes without saying that the punishment for them should be to lose those offices even if it costs Ohio the loss of Republican seats.  Those Republican seats are worthless if the politicians who sit in them behave like progressives, or standard Democrats.  It is not the obligation of Ohioans to turn their gazes the other way while John Kasich earns his chance to run for President of The United States by delivering to Ohio an entitlement expansion of Medicaid that will crush the state economically 10 years into the future.  The responsible thing to do is to identify the behavior as a failure even if it is painful, because the right thing to do is often not easy, or free of pain.

As I watched Matt drive away from the speech out of the parking lot, it was not in a new Mercedes, a BMW, or any other luxury vehicle.  It was just a normal car driven by a dad of three children and husband to a wife waiting for him in Dublin.  If he was just a bit less ethical, he would be a millionaire, who would have garages full of luxury cars and his children would never have to worry about where their money would come from next.  But the difference between Matt Mayer and Governor Kasich is that Matt knows that if he doesn’t fight to keep things under control today, that there won’t be a Ohio, or a United States for his children to live in tomorrow.  So Matt does what’s right and difficult, while politicians like Kasich just make short-sighted deals for a future that they are helping to destroy.  That is why the Tea Party is contemplating how and why to remove John Kasich from office.  It only takes 350,000 votes in a primary to yank him and his dreams of a presidency from contention.  Such a thing is a suitable punishment for trying to expand Medicaid in Ohio then standing in the way of Workplace Freedom when the surrounding states are pulling ahead rapidly toward a future that will soon be out of reach.  When Kasich says that he believes it is a sin to not expand Medicaid as he did in the video above he is simply exploiting the poor to purchase his own redemption using tax money to satisfy his warped reality.  It is not compassionate to steal money from others to give to the so-called needy.  It is called theft.  That is why there are thoughts to hit Kasich where it hurts most.  There must be justice for the direction Kasich has chosen to lead Ohio, and until there is punishment, politicians will never do the right thing.

Why Government Isn’t Needed: The unspoken honor of the American Biker

DSC04543This little story is for the politically left leaning supporter who believes that government brings fairness to the world by taking from those who have and giving to those who don’t, and that security is provided under an umbrella of policing authority.  Every single day of my life I am engaged in a science experiment that has technical and behavior science ramifications which involves the motorcycle seen in the picture above.  I seldom ever part from that motorcycle as it goes virtually everywhere I do every single day of a calendar year.  I ride that motorcycle in the worst rainstorms, heaviest winds and even in the snow and ice.  One time this past year of 2013 it snowed so badly while I was out and about that I couldn’t even turn my front wheel to change direction from one road to the next.  I was regulated to only traveling in a straight line and then could not stop because the roads were so slick.  Needless to say I did not crash.  Part of my experiment is to see how much the human body can take in endurance while still performing at a high level.  The nature of riding motorcycles means that there is no room for mistakes, so they cannot be made.  By riding my motorcycle all year I get to break all kinds of perceived rules that society believes they must function under, and it gives me fresh perspectives that are useful elsewhere.

Most days riding that motorcycle is uneventful.  But over the course of 365 days a year there are always 5 to 6 days where something potentially devastating happens.  One such thing that wasn’t dangerous so much as it was technical was that I had a battery that was failing.  After so many starts through a hard winter it wasn’t holding a charge, and when temperatures dropped to under 30 degrees, I was having a hard time getting it started.  Well, one day toward the end of February I had barely managed to get the bike started at its destination for the return trip home and my fuel was extremely low.  I was worried that if I got gas on the way home, that I wouldn’t get the bike started again because it didn’t have enough amps to crank the engine over.  So I urged the bike to get as close to my home as possible.  With luck I’d get to the gas station that was about a quarter-mile from my home—but I had serious doubts.

The big bike did run out of gas about a half mile from that sought after fueling station so I put it in neutral to coast the rest of the distance.   My bike stopped rolling at the entrance to the gas station and I was able to push with my feet the motorcycle into the parking lot and up to the pump without too much extra trouble.  I filled up my tank, but as I suspected the bike wouldn’t crank over more than a couple of times, not enough to start in the cold weather.   The battery had not charged enough on the way home because I kept my RPMs down to save the gas.  So I was a quarter-mile away from home but couldn’t start my bike.  I didn’t want to call my wife because she was watching our grandchild for one of my daughters and I didn’t wish to bother her.   So I started pushing the motorcycle that weighs about 800 pounds up the busy roadway toward my home.

There is a slight hill that I had to go up and along the way twice two motorists stopped to help me.   Both men were summertime bikers and wanted to help a fellow motorcyclist.  They offered me a ride or gas without any pretension of inconvenience.  I asked them if they had jumper cables as my bike has a computer and cannot be kick started, or push-started in the usual way.  It has to be started off the battery.  Neither man had jumper cables with them so they wouldn’t be able to help.  The second guy who stopped was a die-hard Harley Rider with a long beard that hung down over his stomach.  He had a very nice warm truck that I could feel the heat coming out of as he spoke to me.  It was very tempting to get into his passenger’s seat and have him take me home.  Yet I didn’t want to leave my bike on the side of a busy road, even though my home was very nearby.  Instead I waved the help along and thanked them for their concern.  I decided to push my big bike the rest of the way home, which is what I proceeded to do in small intervals up the hill.  It took me an additional 45 minutes, but eventually I was in my driveway and safe in my garage where I could make the necessary repairs and get the bike ready for the next day’s travel.

The guys who stopped to help me were not told by government to assist.  They did it out of mutual respect.  Being bikers themselves, they wanted to help a fellow motorcyclist.  They didn’t know me from anybody else, they only saw that I was pushing my motorcycle up a hill and they wanted to help—because as both men said—“I’ve been there a time or two myself.”  But I did not accept their help because I did not want to abandon my motorcycle in favor of comfort.  So I struggled to push the bike up the hill in the freezing cold because if I hadn’t I would have wished later that I had toughed it out.  Both bikers looked at me a bit odd when I reported to them that I’d push the bike the rest of the way home, but neither found the information alien.

It never even occurred to me to call the police, or Triple AAA or any organization for help with my predicament.  I ride the motorcycle every day to solve problems like that from time to time.  People under their own volition wished to help me, and I didn’t need government to get home.  I picked as I always do, the most “self-reliant” option there was, and because I challenged the bike to get close to my house before running out of gas I gave myself the option of pushing it home if all systems failed—which they did.

In the absence of government Americans naturally want to help each other.  Charity comes from respect and occurs because people want to do good things.  The bikers who wanted to help me didn’t do it out of fear of being struck down by God if they drove on by, and they didn’t do it because they were paid by the tax payer to help stranded motorists.  They did it because they too were bikers and they respected another biker to the level that they wanted to help if they could out of their own free-will, no government involvement at all.  The same happens wherever government is not–even to this day.  The good is easy to see in people where government has not stepped in to be the un-necessary mediator of disputes—which I get to see a few times a year because of my tendency to ride motorcycles beyond the safety net of normal society.  All government systems could fail, as they do during emergencies, and people help each other without being told to out of sheer respect for their fellow human beings.  Such behavior is not driven from fearful submission to authority, or altruistic compassion, but out of a sincere desire to help a fellow-man in their plight to do their daily activities.  In the case of the bikers they are acting on self-interest ultimately.  They hope that I or somebody else will do the same if they get into trouble, so they offer up the help so the network is nonverbally maintained.

In life if all government was shut down, and all tax payer funded activities were removed, my journey home that day would have been the same.  The gas station would have still had gas when I needed it because it’s to their financial incentive to have what I need when I need it.  And those two guys would have still stopped.  But because of my tendency toward self-reliance I didn’t need their help, although it was appreciated.  As for the roads and my use of them, I paid an enormous amount of state tax at the pump when I bought my gas which more than paid for my use of the pavement that day.  I got my bike home and fixed without the intrusion of any government representative even in the form of a police officer.  That is a trend that will continue.  It is because of such realizations that I have less and less respect for those who vote in large government programs to provide a “safety net” for their lives.  I avoid such safety like a man on fire seeks water.  I stay as far away from them as possible, which is the primary reason I ride a motorcycle every single day of the year no matter what the weather.  It is good to know these kinds of things, and most of the time they can only be seen by doing what nobody else is willing to do.  It rests in my mind the argument that government could be greatly reduced and America would actually improve instead of decline, because the will to do good is still in people like the two guys who stopped to help me in a quarter-mile stretch of road.  Such good people are still out there, but we just don’t see them because government stands in the way of us discovering such facts about each other.  Government wishes to maintain the myth that they are needed, when in fact they are simply in the way.

And by the way, if the goof balls in The United Nations ever think they can get control of the people shown in the videos above, they are on “crack.”  Most of those people are just now becoming aware of the problems I write about here everyday.  And when they realize they have been scammed……………….they are going to be VERY, pissed off.

The Cheating Obama Voter: Three Cincinnati residents caught tipping the election

Within a short time reporting she would plead guilty to a voter fraud charge, Sister Marguerite Kloos resigned as Dean of the Division of Arts and Humanities at the College of Mount Saint Joseph. Melowese Richardson, also admitted to Channel 9 WCPO in Cincinnati that she voted twice and submitted absentee ballots for several other people as well. If convicted, the prosecutor says she faces up to 12 years in prison.  And Russell Glassop is charged with voting on behalf of his deceased wife.  Sister Marguerite Kloos, faces up to 18 months in jail if convicted. She is accused of voting on behalf of another nun who had already died. She was indicted based on information from the prosecutor. Her attorney contacted the prosecutor and said she intends to plead guilty, so a grand jury indictment wasn’t necessary.  What all these Hamilton County citizens have in common is that they all voted illegally on behalf of Barack Obama in the 2012 election and point to an alarming tendency—the militant behavior of their kind, and a complete disregard for the rules in favor of idealistic desire.

As of noon on the Friday after the 2012 election, with nearly all votes in, Obama won the popular vote, leading Mitt Romney by a count of 61,173,739 or 50.5% to 58,167,260 or 48.0%.  Approximately 3 million more people voted for Obama than Mitt Romney which might sound like a lot, but if considered how much election fraud was rumored to take place, and how difficult it was to gather indictments on the three people in just Hamilton County, Ohio seen above it is possible that there was so much election fraud in the election of 2012 that the election could have swung 4 to 5 million votes from Barack Obama to Gary Johnston or Mitt Romney.  It is unlikely even with a vigorous investigation that voter fraud would be discovered in any way with the Gary Johnston camp, or Mitt Romney supporters as the actions appear to derive from the type of activism specific to the Obama ground game—where rules and the truth are only interpretations to be glazed over by legalized maneuvers and strong-arm labor union tactics.

As media outlets praised the re-election of Barack Obama making the entire presidential race a value of civil rights agenda items, and not showing any interest in economic policy with a reckless disregard for reality, Obama supporters showed in the election of 2012 that they didn’t care how they won, so long as they won.  They didn’t care if they had to cheat, stuff ballots, destroy ballots, intimidate voters, suppress voters, or obtain votes in any manner possible to put their candidate over the top in an election.  The three voters caught in Cincinnati appear to be only the tip of a gigantic mountain that is so large that nobody is willing to step back far enough to view the entirety for fear of what they might discover.  The militant manner which voters for Barack Obama were willing to break the law and disregard reason in favor of a sitting President should be deeply alarming—and if absent from the election process, might have been an entirely different election.  But we will never know, as it is obvious from the multiple precincts in large municipalities where Mitt Romney didn’t get a single vote—which is statistically, nearly impossible, that nobody cares.

The Election of 2012 was like playing a board game like Candyland or Monopoly with another player who refuses to play by the rules of the game.  If the dice say move 4 spaces, they move 8.  If the board says to go around the board in a regulated pattern, the cheaters in such games might be inclined to leap to the spots of the board that they wish to be on, so they can collect whatever bonuses await them there.  It is impossible to play an honest game of anything with such players, and this is what dealing with the Obama administration has been like.  A fair competition against such rivals is not possible, as they have shown clearly that they have no desire to play by any rules except the ones they make up as they go.  That very same attitude was exhibited boldly by Melowese Richardson who saw no problem with voting twice and submitting absentee ballots for several other people.

I have worked in neighborhoods like the one Melowese Richardson lives in.  I have worked extensively in Avondale, Lincoln Heights, Over-the-Rhine as well as Price Hill and the area around Fort Washington Way and I would bet that a majority of the residents in those areas are just as bold in their private beliefs as Melowese and show much of the same value system.  I do not believe that Melowese was at all an isolated incident, but that her behavior was common on Election Day in every densely populated area across the entire country.  And given those factors, Obama’s victory doesn’t seem nearly so well defined, and is certainly not a mandate to do as he pleases legally.

Republicans and other liberty leaning conservatives have the difficult task of admitting to themselves that there are laws that must be adhered to in order to have an elected President.  But for the laws to be effective there must be a will to defend the law with action.  In Hamilton Country, Melowese Richardson had such a disregard for the law that she went on a Channel 9 camera and admitted to election fraud assuming that nobody in their right mind would prosecute her.  Obama in office shows the exact same arrogance.  He has been caught in many lies, and he knows that nobody will come after him legally because he will simply hide his crimes behind Civil Rights bullet points. Obama supporters know that the public at large does not have the resolve, or conviction to stand behind the law, so they continue to break the rules at every opportunity.

Republicans are playing a game with the progressive Democrats equivalent to playing Monopoly with a cheater, where the unruly player ignores the dice in the game and simply moves their game pieces on the board where they wish and collect their $200 for passing Go as often as they please.  Republicans instead of calling out the behavior are attempting to play fair and set a good example.  They are reaching out to the Obama demographics that have been deliberately built to house bloc votes of stupidity, which is a futile task for the Republicans to win elections where the opposition will cheat in any manner possible anyway.  A fair game against such people is not possible.

We get the government we deserve and right now because there are so many cowards afraid of their own shadow, and fear throwing rocks in the glass houses they all reside in, Obama supporters are expanding government at an alarming rate.  President Obama is giving away entitlements like Santa Clause to the mob that supports him and will do anything to keep him in power so the gravy train keeps stopping at their station.  Obama is a legalized looter who is stealing the wealth of America and redistributing it with a socialist ideology that believes it supersedes all the rules of all the games ever made.  The crimes continue because good people sit by and do nothing—allowing themselves to be seduced by a smiling con artist that clearly says one thing to the face of his opponents and does entirely different things behind their backs.  Such villainy is beyond the comprehension of most people, but its happening.  The Book of Revelations seems to be entirely true to our own age.  The Mark of the Beast is in our house.

If the election had been a fair one, and not had so much fraud of which the three people mentioned here were just a very small part, Obama would not be President today.  That is not to say that Mitt Romney would have been all that much better, but a Republic that is built on such flimsy philosophy cannot last, and a society of Melowese Richardson types will destroy it with their lack of understanding.  The issue is not one of color, because if it was, Melowese Richardson would have supported Presidential candidates like Herman Cain, and Alan Keys like I have, or Ohio politicians like Ken Blackwell.  The real issue is the desire of a growing number of philosophically deficient human beings to yield their honor to government entitlements in trade for perpetual security.  To have that security they will break the law, lie, cheat or steal in any fashion available to get what they think they have coming and place in the White House a legal looter who will break into the wealth of a nation and drop wheel barrels of goods at their feet for the cost of a vote…………..a practice that is highly illegal, and a direct attack on everything that America stands for.  If left unchecked, why would Republicans ever think they can ever win an election by playing fair against opponents who so openly cheat?

This is why increasingly; the pirate flag I display at the end of my daily signatures is beginning to become a grudgingly accepted reality for many.   The way to beat the other side is not with fairness, but a rigid almost pirate like morality  for the law, where a swashbuckler’s disregard for the dangers of glass top dancing is regarded as a waste of time, and aggressive action is utilized.  In a world of looters the pirates of our day are the law bidding, and the sad irony is that they must stand for the law through the new rebellion of good over the detrimental.

Atlas Shrugged Part III Coming in 2014: John Aglialoro’s tenacious commitment to freedom

No matter how bad things appear to be in modern politics, there are philosophical debates occurring that have never before been so accurately debated as they are currently, and John Aglialoro and his team of film makers working on the Atlas Shrugged films are at the heart of that push.  While traditional media views box office results as the most important measure of success, many of them are oblivious as to why John Aglialoro after two box office failures of the Atlas films in Part I and now Part II, he is in script development on Part III which is scheduled for a summer 2014 release.  In fact, his target date is the Fourth of July.

What many casual observers have failed to account for is that we are currently in an age of new media, where blogs and independent film have access to mass audiences through their computer screens.  So while Hollywood attempts to hedge their products to the known markets carefully studied by studios run by mostly progressive investments injected into the studio system and filmgoers still show a willingness to spend $10 to $15 for a movie experience in a neighborhood multiplex, film makers like John Aglialoro are making his films for the new media market.  While critics blasted the opening of Atlas Shrugged Part 2 in October of 2012 hoping to kill the film for its conservative messages, the DVD sales are sizzling in the spring of 2013 as audiences concerned with being seen in public viewing such a controversial film are more than willing to watch the movie in the privacy of their own home.

I think Aglialoro is at a similar place that George Lucas was at when he released his film THX-1138 to theaters in 1973.  Nobody knew what to do with the film studios tried to cut the hell out of it.  It took a long, long time for people to even accept THX-1138 which I believe was based closely on Ayn Rand’s novel Anthem, although I doubt he’d admit it in the light of day today—for fear of being lynched.  Aglialoro is making an independent film in the Atlas pictures with a message that will upset a major portion of the American population, and he knows it—which is the point of the film.  Art is not supposed to always be didactic stimulation of pleasurable emotions.  Sometimes, it’s a mirror that we must look at which reflects the kind of society we are.  This was the case in one of my all time favorite independent films that Francis Ford Coppola produced called Koyaanisqatsi (English pronunciation: /kjɑːnɪsˈkɑːts/)[1] also known as Koyaanisqatsi: Life Out of Balance.  It’s a 1982 film directed by Godfrey Reggio with music composed by Philip Glass and cinematography by Ron FrickeKoyaanisqatsi is one of my favorite films; I love it so much I have the soundtrack on CD.  But, it could be said that much of the “green movement” was launched because of such films as progressives took the message to radical extremes which we see in the modern age 20 to 30 years later.  Koyaanisqatsi as a film released today would be lucky to make $1 million dollars at the box office because it is just too heavy, and obscure for the average viewer.  But, because of VHS video tape, and now DVDs, Koyaanisqatsi has been able to build up a kind of cult following over the last 30 years, and Coppola and Godfrey Reggio understood this when they produced the film. The goal was not to make money, although there does need to be a financial model that recovers the cost of making the film, the point was to make a statement about a “life out of balance.”

The filmmakers of Koyaanisqatsi interpreted that “out of balance life” with a progressive lens, but the way they recorded the impact of that balance was dramatic, and wonderful.  However, the Atlas Shrugged films are also about a “life out of balance” but the solution goes several steps further than Koyaanisqatsi in analyzing the answer, which Aglialoro is quite well aware of.  In a recent interview with Politico, Aglialoro explained why there was so much pushback against the Atlas films and why he is proceeding with the third one to an entertainment community that is shocked by his tenacity, “We’re not going to get critics coming on board,” Aglialoro said. “The academic-media complex out there doesn’t want to like the work, (Atlas films) doesn’t want to understand it, fears the lack of government in their lives, wants the presence of government taking care of us. … The MSNBC crowd doesn’t like us.”  He’s right.  Most of our current society the world over wants to believe in social theories that don’t work, and many more have built their lives around the type of balance shifting seen in Koyaanisqatsi only they are the cause of the destruction.  They are the cause of the vacated buildings that were demolished from the public housing projects so famously destroyed in slow motion during the 1982 classic.

The making of the Atlas films are not only an adaptation of the Ayn Rand classic 1957 novel, but a statement about our current society.  “The president said in his State of the Union address something to the effect of how preserving our individual freedoms means we must have collective action,” Aglialoro said. “Well, that’s contradicting the terms of the Declaration of Independence, that individual liberty is what we’re all about. So, there’s a clear opposition between that and Ayn Rand’s principles, based around life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”  When most people are guilty of committing such contradictions, it is highly likely that they will not rush out to see a film that exploits their contradictions.  However, because people are generally good, or at least want to do well, they do watch these movies on their own terms and take in the information slowly over time.

Aglialoro wanted very much to rush Atlas Shrugged Part II out prior to the election hoping that politicians would jump on the bandwagon of the messages articulated in his films.  But even long time Ayn Rand supporters like Paul Ryan pulled a Judas trying to distance himself from his support of the novel Atlas Shrugged which he has given away to staff members for years as presents.  When he joined up with Mitt Romney for a Presidential run they attempted to play it safe and move away from the perceived radicalism of supporting Ayn Rand—to their own demise. “It would have served the campaign well if he would have embraced the natural way to capitalism that Ayn Rand, and I think Romney and Ryan should have quoted [her] over and over and over again during the campaign, that it’s the producers who should be applauded and appreciated and not denigrated, that ‘rich’ is not a dirty, four-letter word. It’s a good, four-letter word.”

At a FreedomWorks event prior to the release of Part II Harmon Kaslow, one of the producers and right-hand man to John Aglialoro gave me a lapel pin molded in the symbol of the Atlas Shrugged production company.  It was the same button he was wearing as he spoke to nearly 20,000 people at the Duke Energy Center in September of 2012.  The lapel pin is one that I now wear just about everywhere I go because it symbolizes not a collective connection to the filmmakers, but the understanding that we are part of an exclusive club that “understands” the answer to our modern problems in America are not only addressed in films like Koyaanisqatsi.  It is in the Atlas films that the real solutions are being explored, and the pill is hard to swallow for most people—because it requires them to think completely different about most everything in their life, and they are uncomfortable with that knowledge.  The button that I wear is the official membership pin for Galt’s Gulch where people who think along the lines that I do spend their spare time in the same spirit that it was done in the novel—which will be explored extensively in Part III which is now in production.

To go one step beyond the lapel pin that Kaslow gave me, at the premier of Atlas II buttons in the sign of the dollar were handed out to viewers because those present understood that the film Aglialoro was making had within it the answers America needs.  It is only a matter of time before the rest of the world comes to understand the lessons.  The people with the button were those closest to that realization.  It’s not to say that you must have a button or be a part of an exclusive club to understand the work of Ayn Rand.  But in wearing the lapel pin it lets others know that they are not alone, and that everyone in the world is not a complete idiot.  Objectivism is spreading as the work done by The Ayn Rand Institute and The Atlas Society are helping more and more people deal with the difficulties of understanding the philosophy of Objectivism being introduced to them in the films John Aglialoro is producing.  I personally feel that Ayn Rand’s philosophy is but a first step in a new direction that America should have always been traveling down.  Objectivism is not the end of the journey, but only the beginning.  Ayn Rand does not have all the answers, but the ones she proposes are good first steps in the right direction.  I find that the philosophy of Robert Pirsig takes Rand’s thoughts to another level with his work on the Metaphysics of Quality.   In his two books Zen and the Art of Motorcycle and Lila Pirsig without intending to, he proved Ayn Rand’s theories, and therefore Aristotle’s original arguments over Plato correct with an actual science that breaks down “quality” into definitions that can be understood.  The path of modern philosophy is on that course starting with Rand, being explored by Pirsig and then being further refined in modern and future philosophers.  But the philosophies of Kant, and Marx with the modern Chomsky are going to be rejected over the next two hundred years—mark it on your calendar.  The war we are currently in that Aglialoro is fighting with his Atlas films is one of crawling out from under the failed philosophies of Marx and advancing Rand.  Therefore, Aglialoro’s efforts have been successful, and it is wonderful to see that he is able to produce his third installment after so much tribulation and social resistance.  In the end will turn out to be a work of resurrection for the country of America.

The lapel pins that we wear in public are so that we can recognize one another from the dangerous souls that are still clinging to the failed philosophies of the past.  Like the film They Live (CLICK FOR REVIEW) where the heroes found that the entire planet was plagued with aliens disguised inside of human bodies and they could only tell the difference between them and the aliens by the sunglasses they wore, the pins let us know that the wearer is a person of thought and intelligence who is committed to the future of the human race, instead of the looting destruction of it.  The lapel pins are acts of defiance against a society that has gone mad with stupidity.  But the pins also mean more than that; it is for them that John Aglialoro is making the Atlas films.  As an independent film maker he knows that time will bring more people to seek their own lapel pins, but for now, they are refined to the quiet of their own homes to watch Atlas in stunned silence.  The people who wear their pins proudly in public are those who rush out into the public to see the film in a theater and do not fear public support of such a controversial philosopher in Ayn Rand.  In that spirit, I am very ecstatic that Part III will arrive in theaters in the summer of 2014.  I will be the first one in line and I might well be covered in lapel pins, like the guy below.

The Overmanwarrior Film Festival: Short films dedicated to Ayn Rand’s ‘Anthem’

One of the reasons I have not been to a film festival since 2009 is because of my political stances.  Due to the initiation of the school levy fights and other issues it has become difficult to have cordial relationships with other creative people attracted to the entertainment industry.  When hard lines are taken like the ones I have, it makes friendly lunch meetings with industry professionals impossible, because small talk is out of the window.  And I knew this ahead of time.  The work here at Overmanwarrior’s Wisdom is a project of journeying down the rabbit hole of American philosophy where most everybody else is uncomfortable.  The result is that I haven’t been to a film festival in a while because the film makers I most appreciate are not being featured.  However, that does not mean that such independent efforts are not happening.  Creative artistic expression is in fact thriving because of the freedom afforded by the internet—as calculated, and voices of Objectivism are making themselves heard in the infant stages of a new movement that will only grow over the next 30 years.  Below are three summaries/scenes from the Ayn Rand classic Anthem which is a short book that can be read entirely over a long breakfast—but is infinitely powerful in it’s articulation of the present human condition.  Please do enjoy these three films shown below, and watch them completely.  If you have not read Anthem the films will be entertaining.  If you have, you will instantly understand them.  The visual presentation is the kind of things that are typically shown at film festivals, and thanks to YouTube, the need for film festivals has been reduced as projects like these Anthem tributes can now be shared without the usual network controls.  A few years ago, there was simply no way the public would have a chance to see films like these, because no festival and no network of any kind would show them, particularly the IFC, or Sundance Channels on cable television.  So film makers didn’t go to the trouble of making these kinds of short films.  But thanks to new media, filmmakers are beginning to attempt these types of projects, which make our culture much “richer” for it.

In the story of Anthem the word “I” has been eradicated from civilization.  Collectivism is so rampant that all personal references such as the word, “I” have been removed from the vocabulary.  The story is about the lead character rediscovering that word first through his attraction to a woman, then by rediscovering the light bulb, then understanding that only he can bring civilization back from the brink of destruction by starting over on his own.  But before he can do this, he must overcome the personal crises of learning what “I” means.  His hero journey is this discovery and is the point of the book which is extremely powerful.

I can see how people would have trouble with the novel Anthem.  Most can’t understand how human civilization can unlearn all that it has learned.  However, if my article about The Nothing is referenced, it is easy to see that our current society is receding.  We are going backwards intellectually and this is due to our media culture and public education systems.  We are less intellectual in 2013 than we were in 1776 even with all the education that is available to us—and that is obvious when the writing of the period is compared to the writing of the modern period.  The intellectual capacity is obvious as over-specialization has permeated our society with intellectual paralysis forcing collectivism to support the specialization tendencies.  This is not having a positive trend economically, or intellectually—but is taking mankind in the opposite direction.

I first grappled with this tendency several years ago well before I ever read an Ayn Rand novel.  Two literary achievements started my mind down this rabbit hole of destruction.  The first was the Robert Jordan series titled The Wheel of Time.   That series of books is massive, each book consisting of more than 700 pages and there are 14 books in the whole body of work.  At first I thought I was reading a kind of Lord of the Rings type of achievement because the characters are using magic and riding around on horses.  It takes a long time to get from one village to another and people live in a society where there isn’t even plumbing.  So I imagined that the society depicted in The Wheel of Time books was one that took place in something like a 13th century European setting—like Lord of the Rings.  However, as the story becomes more advanced it is learned that the relics of an ancient civilization begin to be uncovered and studied.  That ancient civilization turns out to be our own time in the distant future where technologies that have not yet been invented are present—but somehow knowledge to that society had been completely lost.

The other book I read was Forbidden Archeology, which I have spoken about before.  This is a fantastic book that chronicles the massive collection of archeological and anthropological evidence that has been ignored by current universities due to “academic collectivism.”  As proven in Forbidden Archeology universities are guilty of molding our understanding of the past due to the collective efforts of previous colleagues.  Anything that falls outside of that collective understanding is ignored.  My first reaction to this very big book was………..NO WAY.  CLICK HERE FOR REVIEW.  That would be impossible.  There is too much written and known for such an open censorship of knowledge to occur.  But then I learned how education works up close and personal with my fights against higher taxes and saw first hand how educators lie to themselves all the time and ignore evidence even when it is obvious to the rest of the world.

When I put on WLW radio the argument that tax increase were driven purely by greedy unions and high salary expectations I wanted to make the problem widely known to see how the schools reacted, so I could prove the theories presented in Forbidden Archeology.  Of course the results have been well documented at this site much to my own anger, because I didn’t want to believe that “academic collectivism” was such a destructive force in our current world.  Now, it is quite clear—our current society is actually regressing, and if left alone for another 200 or 300 years, we could easily become the kind of society that was depicted in Ayn Rand’s Anthem.

When Robert Jordan wrote his Wheel of Time series, the society in the story has recently went full circle—it had risen to a technological height then fallen back into the realm of a primitive and his protagonists are struggling to re-emerge to an age of intellectualism and invention.  In Ayn Rand’s Anthem the hero takes the girl of his choice to the mountains to re-invent society again from the collapse of the previous one that occurred so slowly that nobody even noticed the regression, because the regression took place over a period of hundreds of years.  To measure that regression just examine American history where in the year 1776 there was a declaration for the human race to be free of collectivism so typical in Europe.   The early Americans functioned for a few hundred years without the direct influence of a king, yet had the values they learned from an educated society and for the first time in history produced people like Ben Franklin and Thomas Jefferson who could function without fear of being beheaded for flying a kite with a key tied to it.  But it didn’t last long.  Europeans continued to move to America and settle on the East Coast bringing little bits of Europe with them, and the regression began.  Now just over 200 years later, the regression of our society is measurable—it can be seen easily that the wisest among our current society can’t hold a candle to the wisest of early American society.  Another two hundred years of such a regression could easily produce a society that is seen in the film clips above—without question.

At the last film festival I attended in 2009 I was beginning to grapple with this problem of “academic collectivism” which was very present in film, especially independent films.  Many of the themes discussed dealt with lower chakra topics (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chakra) of the primary animal instincts, sex, food, and making money—and I had lost interest.  It hit me like a ton of bricks while dining at a Lakewood restaurant.  My resolution after that meeting, and last film festival was to start this site so to stop the trend toward human destruction through “academic collectivism.”  On my way down the rabbit hole, it started with school funding to prove the tendency of “academic collectivism” then to challenge the public acceptance of that trend so to prevent a society like the one seen in Anthem.  “Academic collectivism” was already in the process of suppressing Ayn Rand after her work had achieved so much in the 40s, 50s and 60s, only to be gradually squeezed out of American culture slowly by the 70s and 80s, and modern art through the same methods had been hard at work focusing mankind on the lower centers of thought and selling it as if it were a revelation.  But the reality is that we are all on a Wheel of Time where all this has happened before, and will happen again if the trend downward is not stopped.  That is the fight of our day, and if addressing that trend causes blacklisting—then so be it.  Yet even with the blacklisting that goes on, we must be thankful that like 1776 the human race is currently undergoing a second revolution of freedom provided by the internet, where communication can bypass all control mechanisms of the old guard dedicated to academic collectivism.  As a recent article of mine recently explored, the statues of Easter Island were just discovered to have had full bodies under the ground, and for years academics had traveled to different conclusions falsely.  CLICK HERE TO REVIEW.  Because of the internet, the story broke, and academics are being forced to amend their previous conclusions about the origin of Easter Island which appears to be much more advanced than a bunch of cannibals living on a remote island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.  Like the characters of Anthem, the cultures of the Pacific Ocean who were moving giant rocks with mysterious methods and building roads on the bottom of the ocean hint at a world that was more advanced than our present one, but has long been suppressed by academic collectivism by a few minds who dare question that reality.  In that context, it is not so extraordinary to comprehend that the main character of Anthem had an extraordinary journey in the book all because he re-discovered the light bulb—something we take for granted today and see happening every day on the nightly news.
