All the Reasons to vote for Mark Welch for Trustee: The “invisible hand” of West Chester

With all the talk about education and how much money should be spent on it, and has been within America, there are a lot of people who are in dire need of a vast education.  Most of the people needing it are those functioning as pundits and news reporters—especially politicians who are doing important jobs but don’t have the intellect to do that job correctly.  That has been the case so far during Donald Trump’s entire time spent in the White House. People who should know better are surprised that he has done such a good job so far and has led an economic approach that is breaking records in the stock market—as I write this the Dow Jones is currently 300 points about 23,000!  And the reason is basic economics.  Trump is providing a hands off approach to government allowing investment to prosper and for our capitalist exchanges to be trustful, so people are putting their money to work instead of hiding it away to protect it from radical politicians who want to redistribute it to their voter base essentially to buy elections.   Trump’s approach works and it always has for those bold enough to utilize a less restrictive business environment and we know that because Trump hasn’t been the first to try such things.  In West Chester, Ohio Mark Welch has been utilizing a very pro business strategy that has been very successful and now four years after he was first elected West Chester is booming in similar ways that the Dow Jones is currently.  It’s all about a pro business strategy that allows for growth, and now that Mark is up for re-election of his seat the facts are there for all to witness.  Below is a collection of video segments from a West Chester Tea Party forum conducted to feature the candidates for this year’s election.  Mark as expected, performed very well, and gave great answers to the questions provided to him which should put everyone’s mind at ease about electing him for a second term to continue the good job he has been doing.

I suppose where the education failure starts it is that most people just don’t understand the basic concepts of Adam Smith’s The Wealth of Nations.  I mean, modern advocates for thought—and that includes everyone from the most highly paid attorney working for Beltway politics to the NFL player protesting on one knee during the National Anthem should understand well the idea of the “invisible hand” described in Smith’s epic work on economics.  The basic premise that self-interest regulates behavior far better than authoritative Theory X oriented fear of government—such as what occurred under Mark Welch when he first became a trustee in regards to zoning regulations.   Before Mark came along zoning was a radicalized venture in West Chester.  I can recall a case where a business was destroyed by West Chester zoning because they hosted Tea Party events on Tuesday nights and the rules of zoning were used to push it out of existence.  The heavy hand of government penalized this place of business for some signage displays on Sunday’s where a similar business right across the street was given a free pass—because it was a popular meeting place for Lakota school levy supporters.  It only took a few months once there was bad publicity unleashed for that place of business to close its doors—and that is just one example that government can destroy businesses by limiting the movement of Adam Smith’s free hand.   That building is still sitting empty years later, destroyed by government essentially.  The same story could be told all across America and when Mark talks in the video about beating an entrenched incumbent in the 2013 election, that’s why he won.  He has not disappointed West Chester, he’s made it much better over the last four years.

When self-interest goes from a focus on profitability and instead resides purely on survival it is then clear that we are living in a restrictive society confined to the artificial barriers imposed by government for the purpose of ideological control rooted in poor philosophic thinking.  It is hard enough to be in business competing in an industry without the hand of government sticking its nose into every little aspect of strategic implementation.  To an extent government is there to make sure that the game of business is played fairly, but they should not impose themselves on that climate, otherwise you destroy the “invisible hand.”  When government is too involved, that invisible hand stays in a pocket and doesn’t do what it should and that’s a bad thing.  Mark Welch certainly understands the concept of “the invisible hand” and West Chester is thriving in 2017 beyond anybody’s expectations.  Donald Trump is doing the same on a large national level.  Anybody who understood how these things work could do the same, but unfortunately such people are hard to find.

Maybe it’s because liberals—especially academic liberals, are inherently lazy in their thinking.  The works of Karl Marx is much smaller than Adam Smith’s works so perhaps it’s because it’s easier to read that liberals gravitate to Marxism and cower in fear of Smith. Most liberals that I have known love to smoke pot, have reckless sex with dirty unwashed people covered in tattoos and body piercings, and are weak people who like to hide in the safety of a crowd—so Adam Smith’s invisible hand is pretty scary to them—because they are scared people to begin with.   But that doesn’t mean you can build your society around their thinking.  Anybody who is in public office needs to understand the basics of Adam Smith’s concepts.  Under Trump’s presidency we can now all see how the Wealth of Nations is built.  It goes from concept in a large volume beautiful book to actual practice as represented by the Dow Jones records currently being broken by the day.  But before Donald Trump was Mark Welch in West Chester, Ohio who understood the invisible hand of Adam Smith from day one of his election during the first term.  The wealth of West Chester has exploded, and it’s not a mystery.  It’s all very predictable.  But Wes Chester is unique because it has had politicians like Mark who knew when to leave things alone—which is harder than a lot of people think.

Many years ago and up to very recently, in leadership training of people who need to learn those skills a common practice is to have a person stand on an elevated platform and to allow themselves to fall backwards into a group of waiting arms from your teammates to teach trust to the subconscious.  The thinking is to trust that the invisible hands of your team to know that they won’t let you fall because it’s in their self-interest not to let you.  For instance, if you are a smart person who holds the keys to their strategic success in life, you don’t have to worry about them backstabbing you from all types of success in life, because they need you for their own fulfillment.  So they won’t tend to let things happen to you if they find you falling.  Building that trust is one of those elementary practices in leadership training.  The people who are always terrible at this exercise are those cowering liberals who are afraid of their own shadows in life, so it is very difficult to fall back and trust other people because they don’t naturally trust anything—because of what they know about themselves if you really want to break it down correctly.  Let alone trust some invisible hand that is not controlled by government.  But their dysfunction cannot be the standard we all live with as a nation, or a community, because what they are experiencing is a psychosis not a healthy deduction of reason.  So when you get someone like Mark Welch, you grab on tight, because he is unique in the political world.  Hopefully with Trump’s successes on the larger stage more people like Mark will emerge.  But currently, people should be very grateful that Mark Welch is running for such an important trustee position, because he understands innately the nature of Adam Smith’s invisible hand, and it has been that hand which has loaded West Chester, Ohio with such magnificent options toward the enjoyment of life.

I was at Cabela’s in West Chester just yesterday buying up ammunition for some weekend shooting and I had to marvel at the work of the invisible hand that has been doing a good job in West Chester.  To have the option of visiting Cabela’s on a wonderful October day then heading down to Jags for a nice steak lunch with important people to make decisions that would increase the fortunes of many people.  Then to top off the night at Top Golf and enjoy the sunset of a fall evening—but before leaving to walk over to Barnes and Noble for some new books to read are all miracles of the invisible hand of Adam Smith’s capitalism.  Everyone should read Adam Smith’s work because they would find such things much better miracles for which they are.  They’d also understand that much of that lifestyle I mentioned is a result of Mark Welch’s proper management of West Chester as a trustee—to build the trust that investors need to fall back into the waiting arms of West Chester’s government to protect them without meddling into their work.  The trust goes both ways, government has to trust business to catch it when they fall back into their arms, and the same for the businesses who must take a leap of faith with their investments to make magical things happen in the realm of capitalism.  It sounds easy, but unfortunately most people just don’t get it.  Mark Welch does, and that is the primary reason that people should vote for him on November 7th 2017. The invisible hand of Adam Smith is alive in West Chester, and it’s beautiful to look at when you can see what it leaves behind.  But trusting that hand is hard, and lucky for West Chester, Mark Welch does, and the results have been explosively delightful, and something everyone—even  loser liberals—can benefit from.

Joan Powell Comes Out Anti-Union as a West Chester Trustee Candidate: The difference between good management and being a suck-ass

 

One of the things that most shocked me from the recent West Chester Trustee Candidate Forum at Indiana Wesleyan College sponsored by the West Chester Tea party was that Joan Powell stated quite emphatically that she was anti-union and would like to see Ohio become a right-to-work state.  Who would have ever thought she’d say such a thing because it was Joan who sat on the Lakota school board for so many years caving into the union demands wrecking the budget with increased payroll with no management in sight.  Now that Joan is running for trustee in West Chester she has come out against labor unions which is interesting given the fact that many union radicals have targeted the trustees with their themes of dissidence exclusively because Mark Welch and George Lang had been exploring ideas to bring right-to-work legislation to West Chester specifically because Ohio’s governor Kasich has been soft on the labor unions due to his defeat of Issue 5 several years ago. Because of her friendly attitude toward labor unions in the past, strategists would have thought that Joan would seek the Lakota union votes in this trustee race but oddly she tossed that away with the statement seen below.

This may be the first time I’ve ever agreed with Joan Powell.  When I was heading the effort to make Ohio a right-to-work state in 2012 Joan turned her political guns on me and did whatever she could to erase me from what she was doing as president of the Lakota School Board.  At the time Joan was trying hard to give the teachers who worked for Lakota a raise when I had been showing that the exclusive cause of the operating levy she had been seeking was to add more to the wage rates which were already well over the average household income.  Joan’s position was extremely friendly to the labor union at Lakota, and her track record is her track record.  There isn’t anybody who can assume based on her history that Joan would do anything but lay down in future negotiations with the various unions that are in West Chester’s wheelhouse, like the police and fire departments.  I mean it’s easy to say that we value school teachers, fire fighters and police officers—and to give them all the money they are asking for.  It’s hard to tell them no, and that they already make too much money.  In the case of fire and police officers they always give you the speech about how they run into danger while everyone else runs away, so when their contracts come up public support usually favors the unions but as trustees elected to manage the finances, sometimes you have to do the hard things then explain it to people even when its unpopular.   The easy thing is to do as Joan has done in the past and that is to just give the union what they want to keep them from going on strike, then seek tax increases to cover the costs.  That’s why her statement here is so surprising.

If this Joan Powell had revealed herself 10 years ago we might have avoided a lot of bloodshed in the Lakota school district.  I might have gotten along with her!  But, my experience with her says that she knew what kind of crowd she was speaking to and she formulated her comments specifically to her audience.  What she really believes is something else entirely.  Nobody can look at the record of Joan Powell over the years as a president of the Lakota school board and determine that she was anything but excessively friendly to the public union effort.  Yet you can hear with your own ears her declaration that she is against labor unions so who could really know what to believe.

I personally think public sector unions should be illegal.  If you have a job funded by tax payers you should not be able to organize against tax payers or their representatives for more money.   In private business competition can help bring reality to labor union activism so the free market does the job of helping to manage the situation.  But in government, we are talking about monopoly status over the tax dollars in question so labor unions have unfettered access to the funds of the communities they are supposed to serve.  It’s easy to obtain the funds they desire because often the only people who stand in their way are politicians like Joan Powell who never want any bloody conflicts with their labor unions, just peace.  Elected politicians find the temptation to throw vast amounts of money at these public sector unions too easy.  It’s far easier for them to ask for tax increases from a faceless community hiding the effort behind children or the safety of our citizens.  That makes those types of people terrible managers and Joan Powell is certainly guilty of that.

Yet for the record in 2017 Joan has declared that she is against labor unions so as a note to the police, the firefighters and the public school teachers who might think that they might vote for Joan Powell looking for an easy run over politician to engage in future negotiations with—she has indicated that she is anti-union.   I mean perhaps she has learned some lessons over the years.  I wouldn’t vote for her as a trustee, the only people I think have a chance of doing good work as a West Chester trustee are Mark Welch and Ann Becker.  Lynda O’Conner may be a good pick for that third seat because Lee Wong is a disaster and Joan Powell has a terrible track record at managing big budgets.  But in regard to her statements on labor unions, I actually agree with Joan Powell on something.

In actuality Joan was likely just telling the audience what they want to hear, which is worse than being an open liberal because as a voter you can never be sure what the person you are considering really stands for.  Knowing a bit about Joan Powell I think she is very malleable—her thoughts always go to the path of least resistance and that’s fine if you are a grandma handing out cookies to your grand kids—but when you are supposed to protect millions of dollars from the greedy hands of public employees who want the most money for doing the least work—you want someone who will manage that money with some valor.  Labor unions may want to vote for Joan because they smell the blood in the water, but one thing they won’t be able to rectify is that she did come out against labor unions in the 2017 election.   Her comments are now part of the public record and they will be used against her in the future.  That’s why we have these forums, so that we can test the candidates in the forges of reality to see how they hold up to a little scrutiny.  Obviously Joan Powell says whatever she needs to in order to appease the people she is addressing.  If it’s labor unions, she gives them what they want.  If it’s the Tea Party, she does the same.  So there is nothing about Joan Powell that indicates she would ever do anything but tell people what they want to hear.  The damage she has always done, and obviously seems committed to in the future, is that she is more in love with the popularity of being a public official than in doing the hard work of management.  And that is what deciding this election of 2017 is all about.  If people want good management, Joan Powell is not their person.

What We Learned about the West Chester Trustee Candidates for the 2017 Election: Ann Becker and Mark Welch are clearly the best picks

There weren’t really any second-place candidates who touched the levels of competency toward the open trustee seats in West Chester, Ohio than Mark Welch and Ann Becker as displayed during the West Chester Tea Party candidate forum at Indiana Wesleyan University on October 17th 2018. I mean there were other candidates there speaking that night, but Mark is the incumbent and the guy with the very successful track record—so much so that Democrats are rightfully terrified by him and have pulled out all the stops in an attempt to knock him off his seat. Then there is Ann Becker, Ms. Lady Liberty herself as she can be heard often on her 55 KRC radio segments on the very popular Brian Thomas show—who has been involved in just about every kind of politics in Butler County that there is. She is leaps and bounds above everyone else so she and Mark make a great team for two of the three trustee seats that are coming available. Of course, the focus for the purposes of preserving conservativism in West Chester relies on at least two conservatives being elected on November 7th and out of all the candidates running—many of them are good people—only Mark Welch and Ann Becker have the official backing of the Republican Party—and this year, that means a lot.

I think after watching all the other candidates speak if I had to pick a third person for those very important West Chester trustee seats it would be anybody but Lee or Powell. That third seat currently has belonged to the incumbent Lee Wong, but after his support of the Chinese spy scandal involving a Sherry Chen and her termination at the National Weather Service for alleged espionage, Lee has since dropped off the map. He embarrassingly protested on her behalf recently to help her get her job back and his defense of his friend revealed many disturbing traits about Lee Wong that many people hadn’t seen before. He tends to be aloof and disengaged when it comes to complicated issues, and he obviously has sided with organized labor locally—so he has lost his mask of Republican Party affiliation showing himself to be a lopsided liberal on almost every topic.

The other person running who is obviously not a conservative is Joan Powell who came to the West Chester forum knowing that the audience was very constitutionally minded, so she attempted to talk their language, and everything ended up coming out phony. I’ll give her credit for trying, but she clearly wasn’t the right candidate. After all, she had been supportive of West Chester becoming a city some years back which means a lot more government to manage things and always has in her thoughts and actions big government approaches to everything. I thought it was particularly interesting that she tried to distance herself from the terrible labor union negotiations she had been involved in over the years at Lakota by saying that she was supportive of Right to Work. That was odd because most of the reasonable conservatives of West Chester remember her for her tax increases as president of the Lakota Board of Education. By alienating the leftist union members who might otherwise vote for her in memory of her Lakota failures, who did she think was going to support her for trustee? There aren’t enough of the “girls” getting their hair done with Joan to put her over the top. She came across grossly out of touch and adhering to the politics of another century in the past. She certainly didn’t project herself as part of the future.

Everyone else falls below the prospect of viability. In the coming days I’ll put up specific videos from this West Chester event to paint a more articulate picture of the proceedings. But for the high-level viability of the two primary candidates, Ann Becker and Mark Welch they did a good job and the little ad displayed above indicates my feelings on their candidacy. I have a lot of hope for the two of them. For Mark I’d like to see him continue to do the great job he has done. With Cathy Stoker out-of-the-way and Lee Wong put on ice over the last several years West Chester has prospered dramatically. It was kind of like the effect Donald Trump has had on the stock market. There’s a reason the Dow is pushing up over 23,000 for the first time ever. Many investors who had been looking toward West Chester to build a business, or even to start a family felt inclined to move once Mark was elected and from there hotels have exploded on the scene, along with many new restaurants, shopping, shooting ranges and many other options that have improved the lifestyle choices of the West Chester community.

There were some interesting conversations at the trustee forum that represent distinct philosophical differences. For instance, Joan Powell espoused her view that schools are what make a community great—which is clearly not the case. You can spend all the money on education that you want and the quality of a school will not help it at all. Rather, schools tend to be great based on the quality of the people who live in an area. Good people produce good kids and therefore, good students. Mark clearly understands that formula and most everything he does centers on those basic philosophies. That’s why Democrats hate him so much, because revealing that formula is something they are absolutely terrified of. That’s also how you can know that people like Lee Wong and Joan Powell are not Republicans but are in fact liberal Democrats—because they miss the basic concept of foundational government as a representative management device of the public. A government school does not make kids great, their parents do. If you want a great community you need to have an environment conducive to the lifestyle of good people—good in this case being people who have jobs, raise their children with parameters of expectation—and do things as a family unit. For instance, if you go to the VOA Park in West Chester, the people you meet there are generally all good to each other, and conduct themselves well. Respect for themselves and each other is a prevalent theme and that reflects the general demographic of the region which tends to attract good people to it. West Chester has great access to good jobs. Great access to interesting things to do, and it has low taxation—all which attracts good families with values. When those kids go to school they are naturally good kids. If you spend the same money on communities where the parents are terrible, the school system will obviously reflect that. The idea that a school makes a community is a liberal organized labor myth built to inflate wages and benefits for the government employees—not to fulfill the necessities of the community. Mark and Ann understand that delicate balance. Liberals like Joan Powell and Lee Wong don’t.

It was good to see such a large crowd at this event. People care very much about this outcome and that is wonderful, that is what makes our country great—at the local level. That is also the role that the Tea Party has always had, educating the public about the matters that matter most to them. In that regard I’d say the only serious candidates running for those three seats were present in the video above. If candidates aren’t willing to go before the West Chester Tea Party, they really aren’t serious about running for office. Hopefully this article helps you sort out the names from all the confusion—and that really only two names essentially top out the first two seats, Ann Becker and Mark Welch.

West Chester is on Money Magazine’s Top 100 List: Who to vote for in 2017’s trustee election

I know I I’m very proud of West Chester for remaining one of the top places to live in the entire United States yet again by Money Magazine.  Since George Lang has been a trustee he has contributed greatly to this rise in national profile and he is now moving to become a state rep in Columbus so he can do the same thing for Ohio on a much larger scale, and don’t doubt for a moment that he will be successful.  George knows how to work “it,” and I look forward to his results quickly in the next few years.  Things in West Chester have really improved over the last several years since George and Mark Welch have been running things as the one, two vote for the West Chester trustees.  A quick look at the history of the Money Magazine rankings below will show just how much success they’ve had.  The consistency ranging from this year all the way back to 2014, the first full year after Mark’s election, provides the unrequited testimony to the success the two have had in spite of Lee Wong’s efforts at community socialism to make West Chester such a destination of success and opportunity.

WEST CHESTER TWP. — West Chester Twp. is, once again, named among the best places to live in America.

That’s according to Money Magazine, which today released its list of “100 Best Place to Live in America” with the growing Butler County township as No. 56 on that list.

West Chester Twp. was previously ranked No. 49 in 2016’s “America’s Top 50 Places to Live,” No. 30 in 2014, No. 97 in a list of “Top 100 Places to Live” in 2012, No. 32 in 2010 and No. 45 in 2005, according to Money Magazine.

Released on Monday, this year’s list focuses on communities with populations from 10,000 to 100,000.

For perspective there are 267 cities currently in America that feature populations less than 100,000 people, so to be in the top 100 is quite impressive.  There are many more small towns and localities, but for a managed population with such a great number of residents that have to balance out tax burdens, zoning, livability, future outlook and day-to-day management, West Chester is a fine example of how it should be done. Of course with all that success there are lots of coat-tail riders who want to make a name for themselves as the next generation of West Chester trustees.  This particular year is unique because not only is George’s seat up for candidates because he is moving to the state position, but Mark Welch’s seat is up for re-election as well.  Lee Wong is the third seat and it is also up to be challenged.  Under a normal year to keep things running the way they have been in West Chester, only one of those seats would need to be defended from the incumbent personalities seeking to make a name for themselves.  This year, two seats must be defended.  It would be nice to get all three with conservative minded people, but looking at the list of people running there are a lot of liberals running as Republicans but are in fact major RINOs so we need to clear things up for the voters who don’t know the difference between the people with all the big signs so that they can know who they need to elect to keep West Chester in that top ranking with Money Magazine.  After all, what it comes down to is investments and for people who want to protect their investments in their community they must elect the right people this time around to maintain stability otherwise everything could go to hell quickly.

My picks for the West Chester trustee race is to re-elect Mark Welch.  He’s most responsible of all the candidates for the great Money Magazine reviews that have been unleashed during his term in office.  Ann Becker is my second pick; she is clearly the best next person to work with Mark to keep West Chester running correctly.  I’d like to see Lee Wong lose, because he’s an idiot, and a socialist.  His third vote isn’t too damaging so long as two real conservatives are on the other side.  It would be good to try out a new name to replace Lee and see if someone can emerge.  A new name would be best, not the tax and spend names from the old Lakota school board.  If I had to pick my poison Lynda O’Conner would beat out Joan the Hutt, (Joan Powell)  Both women have election experience and access to some money which is why they have some big signs, but neither one of them are conservatives.  They have both supported high taxes in the past but of the two Lynda is clearly far better than Joan.  Honestly voters would do better to elect the lady who makes sushi at Kroger before trying either of the Lakota school board people.  At least she knows how to make something good for a decent price.  But she’s not running unfortunately.  Everyone else running is a gamble.

Mark and Ann are the sure money to maintaining West Chester’s high profile and country-wide expectation.  If both of them are not elected together than anything can happen.  Money Magazine likely won’t be including West Chester on their future lists.  A lot of people take for granted good management when they have it, but miss it desperately once it’s gone.  Mark’s track record is stout and needs no explanation.  Ann Becker for those who don’t know her can easily make up for experience with her thinking.  I’ve known her for years and she is at the center of almost everything political in Southern Ohio.  She like George Lang knows how to “work” things behind the scenes without going negative.  She is a naturally gifted personality and I think being a woman helps her tremendously in perhaps even improving the Money Magazine ranking in the future.  She knows how to sell conservative ideas without the typical defensive posture that most business oriented conservative men do.  Not that it matters, but most people who have been successful in business have been taught that they have to apologize for their success so they get defensive with the media when they talk, or they avoid talking at all.  Ann is great with the media, she’s on 55 KRC every week speaking with Brian Thomas and she’s done a lot of television.  She has connections to CNN and many other major national networks, so she brings a lot to the table and is the best opportunity for West Chester to either maintain the Money Magazine ranking, or improve on it.  Nobody else running has a chance.

It is a tremendous honor to have such a large community like West Chester continuously ranked on that list. I love West Chester.  I have traveled a lot and have been to some of the most far-reaching places on earth and there isn’t anywhere that I can think of that’s better than West Chester.  From all the offerings along Cox Road to the Union Central Blvd exit, West Chester is a very dynamic place.  You can do just about anything in West Chester.  From Entertrainment Junction to the great VOA Park, people could live in West Chester every day and never go anywhere else and still have more to do then in resort cities like Orlando Florida, or Las Vegas—and would never miss an opportunity.  That is saying a lot.  I consider most of my Saturday’s and Sundays to be like a vacation, but it’s all within my home town.  Between IKEA where my mother-in-law comes in from out-of-town to shop at, like a lot of people do, to Top Golf where it’s a dream destination for business clients visiting from far off places, West Chester has it all.  But it needs to continue to have good management—we can’t take these things for granted.  It’s a delicate balance, so be sure to vote in November for Mark and Ann—and take your chances on that third name.  But make sure two of them are the people I mentioned.

How West Chester’s Joan Powell and Bonito Mussolini are one in the same: Understanding fascism based on real history

Whether she realizes it or not, Joan Powell’s core philosophy is very similar to Bonito Mussolini’s chief architect of fascism, the philosopher Giovanni Gentile.  There is a reason that politically left thinking people do not talk about the father of Italian fascism and attempt to use transference to distance themselves from all forms of Marxist European failures be it that of communism, socialism or fascism.  Gentile stated “everything in the state, nothing outside the state, nothing against the state,” and he tried to implement those terms in Italy until the Allies landed and captured Mussolini.  Hitler immediately freed the fascist leader and was given parts of the German empire to rule where he immediately moved toward the socialist terms identified by Gentile.  As Dinesh D’Souza identified in The Big Lie, a book everyone should read that is in book stores right now, the story is told quite effectively of how the political left took the political platform issues that they were guilty of committing that were essentially right out of the Nazi and fascist playbook and have used their control of our education system and our media companies to erase history and attribute those traits to a bunch of slack-jawed Republicans who didn’t know how to defend themselves until Donald Trump took over the party.  If you know your history you would find that Bonito Mussolini’s political beliefs were essentially the same as Joan Powell’s.  Read her thoughts on her own website cited below.

People never reveal themselves as villains, but with Joan Powell we have her history as a Lakota school board member to use as a means to gage her performance.  By her nature Joan Powell is a big union protector, which is how she got into the race in West Chester as union radicals fearful of the ultimate reality of Right to Work in Ohio was discussed in a West Chester board meeting.  The discussion  about Right to Work of course was centered on trying to entice more businesses to locate in West Chester.  In many cases the high taxes from Lakota schools are enough to scare away business investment so the current Trustees have had to get very creative in finding reasons for business to think about making considerable investments into the region.   In the world of Bonito Mussolini totalitarianism designed to bring about a true socialist state as outlined in the 1919 document Fasci di Combattimento universal suffrage was established as a value.  When Joan Powell was president of the Lakota school board she led her followers to cut busing and sports programs to hold tax payers over a barrel until she obtained her tax increase.  That is aligned with the mentality of Mussolini fascism.  They also under fascism wanted to lower the age of voting to eighteen so they could access the youth freshly taught socialism in schools to give more power to the state.  Joan Powell did this by using the The Spark magazine at Lakota to inspire the children of the school system to go into the community and vandalize dissidents to the tax increase and fully exploited them in the media for the same end—not directly of course, but she did this through her minions—people I called latté sipping prostitutes.   Now to be fair to Joan, most public schools do these things because they are government-run schools and they teach school board members these methods.  Just Joan comes from that very socialist system and has been formed to it through her 16 years as a school board member.  She may not fully understand why she knows what she knows, but based on her actions, she knows it, and her mode of philosophic reckoning is socialism—specifically Bonito Mussolini style fascism.  Additionally it was Bonito Mussolini who championed an eight-hour workday, which became the unionized model that we have all had imposed on us in the United States.  This was an attack on the mechanisms of capitalism to begin giving workers management approval over productive output which led to eventual worker participation in industrial management and essentially the nationalization of entire industries.  During the Lakota levy campaigns Joan’s levy minions attacked private businesses that did not support the tax increase publicly extorting them with bad publicity if they did not fall in line with the totalitarianism of the Lakota levy tax increase.  It wasn’t Joan and her school board that was in charge, it was the radical LEA union that put Joan in place as their mouth piece and they used her to perpetually obtain step increases year after year mandating further tax increases on private property.  Mussolini would go on to propose that there be an 85% tax on war profits and had strong anti-clerical policies including no religious instruction in the schools.  Under Joan Powell’s years as a school board president there was a strict adherence to policies against religion in the school system for fear that state money might not come to Lakota by Governor Strickland if Lakota didn’t comply.  But perverts who were teachers who sexually abused kids were given a free pass and in many cases had everything covered up in defense of the school, and not the children as individuals—all of this in perfect alignment with Italian fascism in World War II right in West Chester, Ohio in the modern-day.

It was never anything personal with Joan Powell when she and I had many public fights through the media.  But I know history and I know what I see and understand how things became that way.  Donald Trump is the opposite of fascism, Nazism, racism—and flagrant socialism.  Joan Powell is a defender of all those things and she came out in favor of Hillary Clinton (a known criminal) during the last election.  Yes they played nice music on her ad for Hillary and she proclaimed that she was afraid that Donald Trump was too angry to be president of the United States.   But why are we so angry, even hostile at people like Joan Powell?  Because they keep messing with us and seeking to apply socialism through taxation and expanding government into all aspects of our lives—progressives are afraid of hostility because they don’t want it leveled at them when we catch them in all these lies and manipulations.  They would rather keep everyone dumb and subdued than to deal with an educated voting population who knows the difference about fascism and free market capitalism which is how West Chester has obtained so much success lately, because Mark Welch and George Lang have shrunk government, taken away a tremendous amount of tax burden and made zoning much more friendly to new business lowering their cost of compliance.

When Cathy Stoker and Lee Wong were the two to one vote on the West Chester Trustee Board before Mark Welch was elected a few years ago there was a lot of abuse with the zoning board punishing some companies over political affiliation.  If it became known that a company was affiliated with the Tea Party the zoning board would harass them until they eventually went out of business.   That was certainly the case with the Grand Ol’ Pub in West Chester.  They were constantly picked on by the zoning board and that direction came from the trustees Wong and Stoker.  Meanwhile, Willie’s across the street got by freely and was actually a meeting place for pro levy Lakota people.  In that place of business Lakota coaches and teachers would bend the ear of 700 WLW personality Bill Cunningham who owned the place, to lobby against my effective on-air campaign against them.  Bill tried to stay out of it but behind the totalitarianism of the Joan Powell led school board and the radical levy supporters he was convinced to come after me and a lot of controversy was blown in my direction—and it was Joan who was the one doing the blowing.  If I had been a normal person my career might have been over and the public shaming might have destroyed me.  But I’m unique, there is no such thing as bad publicity and it caused me to sell enough books to take my family on a nice vacation that year—so thanks Joan.   On my part I used the nature of Joan Powell to my advantage because I understood who I was dealing with.  Now I’m telling voters of West Chester—this is the person who wants to run your community.  Because if she gets elected and she has slack-jawed Lee Wong there as a second vote—Joan essentially wants to do to West Chester what Mussolini did to Italy—and that isn’t an inflated statement.  It’s based on a factual analysis of her actual behavior, and that is something that should concern everyone.

The Many Problems of Joan Powell: A person 10 years behind the politics of the day

 

Being serious about Joan Powell, the beat up old politician from Butler County, Ohio who is running for a much dreamed about trustee seat, she has a lot of problems.  Over the years she’s simply screwed over too many people.  It’s one thing to run for a school board seat that nobody wants to do, but a trustee position is a little harder, especially when Mark Welch and George Lang have done such a good job setting into motion the finances of West Chester so wonderfully.  Mark would have to lose his seat in the election, or Lee Wong for Joan to get a chance and that’s likely not going to happen even if nobody did any campaigning.  Joan’s campaign reminds me of when Jamie Green tried to come back after five years of being out of action to become a school board member at Lakota in 2011, which I spoke about below at a public forum.  A lot of things changed in the world in just five years and Jamie Green couldn’t overcome the scrutiny and for having a pretty sizable name had a hard time breaking into fourth place in a five person election.  Joan’s situation is similar now in 2017 in West Chester.

There is simply too much dirt on Joan.  On the surface she plays a nice old lady who has some grandchildren.  But, she’s been pretty ruthless when it comes to politics and her people aren’t in charge of anything anymore.  The world has changed under her feet and she’s on the wrong side of history.  Her act is old and tired and she clearly doesn’t understand it.  What she does know is that her friends down at the hair salon think she should run because poor little Lee Wong can’t get a vote in edgewise while he’s off showing tremendously bad judgment putting his name next to Chinese traitors.   The labor unions put out the bat signal hoping to resurrect Joan essentially because they want a weak negotiator at the table instead of Mark—and that’s why she’s running.  They talked her into it thinking that she’s their best chance of getting control of the West Chester Trustees again by gaining a positive vote count during future wage negotiations.

Her reputation at Lakota while she was a school board member was despicable.  Of course the public employees loved her—she constantly voted to give them more money.  Ironically the moment she left the Lakota school board that 8th largest school district in Ohio started learning to live within their budgets and they have not sought further tax increases.  Lakota has done a much better job of managing their business with Joan Powell gone than they ever did while she was there and now with a few years to analyze the situation, its clear Joan was part of the problem at Lakota and that is the best thing she has to run on in this 2017 election—is her experience at Lakota as a board member.   Her best achievement in recent years was a 2013 tax increase she managed to ride through spending many hundreds of thousands of dollars moving the vote count a measly 4 percentage points—and that was with the help of Sheriff Jones.  Likely Jones is behind Joan’s comeback here because he knows she is a tax and spend liberal and he has family on the West Chester police department who want pay raises at the tax payer’s expense so of course they want liberal Joan Powell to rubber stamp their contracts—but Jones can’t help Powell much.  He’s come out in favor of Trump and was a big part of the campaign to get him elected in Ohio.  He’s not going to be able to publicly hold her hand in the way she’ll need this time which will make it very difficult for her—because she’s a Hillary Clinton supporter masking as a Republican to get elected in Butler County, but the party has changed a lot over the last 12 months.  It’s not the same place.

Then there is the baggage, Joan has screwed over a lot of business people.  I plan to talk a lot more about that as the election nears especially in October leading up to the final vote.  Joan got caught doing a lot of double-dealing and she didn’t make any friends from the people who count most.  Sure, Patti Alderson talks to her socially but if anyone noticed at the annual party that the West Chester socialite has at her house where Republican candidates go to be noticed and ask for money for their various fall campaigns, the Party affiliation and objectives aren’t as clear as they had been.  Sure the Butler County Republicans have wrestled away control from Tea Party conservatives like David Kern in favor of never Trumper types who gambled that John Kasich would do much better than he did.  But now the Ohio governor is on his way out and he will likely be replaced by the Republican Trump supporter Jim Renacci who is making major strides toward a powerful candidacy.  He has the right people behind him and a message that is aligned with the current White House.  Whether or not Republicans like it, Trump is running the RNC and that certainly flows into local politics for which Joan isn’t in the picture.  Patti may like her from the good ol’ days, but Patti isn’t exactly part of the inner circle any more either.  She has money to direct into political pockets as she has in the past, but she doesn’t have the philosophical persuasion that she once held either.  When Joan and Patti worked out their public campaign against me in 2012 to get their tax increase passed at Lakota by 2013 they had to play some very dirty tricks which I’ve never forgotten only to have very moderate success.  And now just four years later the political landscape is much different—not in the favor of Joan Powell.  The game has left her in the dust and people like Patti are only able to hang on because of her deep pockets.  The Party is not as friendly to RINOs as it once was.

Because of Trump business people are in, liberal tax and spenders are out—and Joan is a long way away from her business background which she had when she was a little girl.  For many years now she has simply been a social activist from the school board with one of her biggest achievements coming from the failed attempt to shut down the entire school to get on the Ellen DeGeneres Show.  You can see Joan dancing in the video below at the 7:16 mark which was a project the entire high school of Lakota East put on for the cause of Spina Bifida.  That of course was the cover story.  The real aim was to get national attention on Ellen’s show and using all the kids as a way to do it—which cost many thousands of dollars.  Joan as a member of management thought that was a good use of tax payer money and she was there dancing away at the event.  Her calculation was that the national coverage would put them over the top with public sentiment and get them a tax increase, but they failed to get on Ellen.  I ran into two of the people dancing with Joan in that video at a VIP event at the opening of Rodizio at Liberty Center in 2015 and I asked them who’s stupid idea it was to allow the entire school to make a music video with all the expense involved.  They blamed it on Joan—so that shows her decision-making ability—she’s certainly not a business minded person—and that’s what it takes to be a Republican these days especially at a trustee position.  People expect a little flamboyancy from liberal school board members; they’re more forgiving when it comes to children and social causes.  But managing how things happen where they live, that’s another matter all together.

While you can’t take anything for granted in any election—Joan will have her normal people come out to support her on election day, the union supporters who want a pay raise, the people at her hair salon and a few losers hanging out in the cracks of depravity, but she’s a Hillary Clinton supporter in a district that voted for Trump well over 10% the Ohio trend and the Republican party is much more affiliated with the new president than it was on Election Day 2016.  Joan’s record is terrible and she burnt a lot of people to achieve what she did.  She doesn’t have any people who matter in the current political structure who will go to the ends of the earth for her and Mark does.  Lee Wong doesn’t either—his biggest achievement is that he gets free meals around West Chester but he doesn’t do much else but support traitors and people who want to build sidewalks so he can walk from his house and mooch off people in the business community.  But Joan doesn’t even have that.  I’m sure she’s well funded by the old political power seeking to make a comeback, but it won’t be enough because the moment she opens her mouth people will know she doesn’t have an idea to stand on, and these days, that just won’t cut it.

The Liberal, Anti-business Big Spender, Joan Powell: Like a cockroach, she wants to loot off the good things produced by West Chester

Don’t be fooled by a person who has been doing it for years as a public figure at Lakota as money grabbing liberal.  Joan Powell is not a Republican, her behavior is indicative of a typical Democrat that has ruined entire cities with their tax and spend policies and now she’s at it again trying to get elected as a West Chester Trustee.  While she brags that she was a Lakota school board member for 16 years she neglects to say how divisive she was while serving in that role.  You can hear all about that situation because I covered her antics on 700 WLW.  That podcast is still available for you to listen to, so enjoy it at the clip below.  Like a typical Democrat, Joan attempts to use transference to impose on others what she herself is guilty of.  It’s not the current West Chester Trustees who are divisive; rather it is Joan the Hutt.  Click here to learn why I call her that—the name is quite appropriate.

Butler County, Ohio where West Chester has become one of the hottest places to live and conduct business in the entire country is distinctly a very Republican place.  There are of course a few bleeding heart liberals here and there who either have government jobs, smoke crack, or take on welfare payments who will vote for Democrats when they run for office, but the numbers just aren’t there to win—so one of the big challenges candidates have is that they often have to pretend to be Republicans so that they can get a fair shake at the ballot box.  Two of the people running for West Chester Trustee seats this year who are certainly Democrats are current board member Lee Wong and now his trustee sidekick Joan Powell, the beat up relic from Lakota’s past.  If they didn’t put an “R” next to their name, they would never get consideration in Butler County and Joan the Liberal Hutt knows that.  However by looking into her past you can tell—for instance she supported Hillary Clinton during the last election even doing a television ad for her.  While Lee Wong associates with people accused of being traitors providing secrets to China, Joan the Hutt was hiding from her many years at Lakota where she served as a union lap dog to the radicals who wanted endless raises for which she had every intention of given them.  When she ran out of money she turned right around and asked the public for more tax increases—which is likely her entire reason for running for a trustee seat.  Money has been tightly controlled under Trustee Mark Welsh who is up for re-election and George Lang.  The public sector unions want a third liberal vote on the board to dump more money into their pockets and Joan is their girl.

But what’s truly disgusting about Joan is her very Hillary Clinton-like election strategies.  Below I have selected three things that she has said on her own website about reasons she is running for this seat that deserve some clarification.   In these three statements Joan the Hutt proves that she is anti-business.  Pro-union—meaning she is willing to put on blindfolds to managing them—just as she did at Lakota schools where she jacked up the costs of payroll to the point where she consistently lived beyond  the budget provided to her by the community.  But worse than anything, she essentially put up Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign strategy against Donald Trump where she stated that one of the reasons she wants to be a trustee is to improve the “tone” of our community.  Here is what she has said about herself.

Joan is concerned about the tone of West Chester’s elected officials during the past year.  In order for our township to prosper, West Chester needs leaders that care about the residents – all residents – and their wants and needs.  The name-calling and disrespect is not the way local leaders should behave.  You can count on Joan to conduct herself with integrity and treat all with common courtesy.

 

Current trustees have done a good job with businesses.  But recently a trustee was cited in the media as saying:  “West Chester puts businesses first.”  Businesses are critically important to any community but residents are the ones who draw the businesses here in the first place.  They need a voice in the direction of the township. 

 

West  Chester needs leaders who are here to serve the township and its residents, not just their own political agendas.  The Right-to-Work movement that two trustees placed as their top priority for 2017 was not really about improving the business climate here.  It was about making their own political statement.

I always tried to explain to Joan the Hutt some basic economics which she never understood while at Lakota.  Like all Democrats she had no idea where money came from, how people got it and how it goes to work for civilization.  All she knew to do was how to spend money and when she wanted to use it to solidify her base she would raise taxes so that she could give more away to her groups—just like Hillary Clinton.   Without question there will be a sizable number of slugs who want less managerial control over their public sector incomes who will show up to vote for Joan the Hutt on election day not because they like her so much as Joan has a reputation of being very free with budgets in favor of labor unions.  That’s why two of her statements above essentially are talking points right out of labor union literature for which she is more than willing to rubber stamp for a chance to get elected.

But the worst thing Joan the Hutt said in her own literature is this Democratic position of being anti-business. What Joan never understood and obviously still doesn’t is that businesses are what build a healthy community.  It’s not the people first that do it as she suggests.  It is the value of what industry brings that builds a community.  Without jobs there is nothing to do in West Chester, no way to live, work, or pay the enormous tax bills it takes to run all the public sector jobs.   Without businesses West Chester would just be an average community in the country, but because of the wide variety of thriving businesses the people who have moved into West Chester have options.  People don’t move to places like West Chester to be near a sidewalk, or a public library like Democrats like to believe.  Lee Wong is certainly one of those liberals who have never understood basic economics.  When he gets pinned into a corner on any kind of debate on the matter he starts talking about how he was in the military hoping that people won’t further criticism his liberal attitudes.  And Joan is essentially no different.

I was in more than one meeting with some of the leading business people in our community when Joan was the president of the school board at Lakota and I’ve seen her disrespect for business up close and personal.  She truly believes that people just magically appear out of nowhere and start living in homes without some way of building a culture that lures them in the first place.   Joan the Hutt is one of those people who think the entire real estate market at West Chester thrived because of the good Lakota schools, but she’d be wrong. People like her used the schools to make easy sales on new homes which were built and brought to the area through business people.  But it was those people she turned on first when she wanted to raise taxes and they hated her for it.  Like I said, I was in more than a few meetings with those people and I know what they think of her.  That attitude would carry over on a much larger scale if Joan the Hutt were to become a Trustee.  Joan Powell is as anti-business as they get.  She’d be more at home in bankrupt Detroit or Chicago than in West Chester, Ohio.

Like all Democrats when they see budget surpluses, such as what we are seeing now in West Chester because of the good work done by Mark Welsh and George Lang, they arrive like cockroaches and other undesirable insects to loot off the excess.   Joan the Hutt years ago lobbied to make West Chester into a city because she’s a big government advocate who thinks all the answers in life come from more tax money extracted from the public and given it to an ever expanding government.  She is clearly not a Republican.  She has been openly against President Trump and supported Hillary Clinton, and she doesn’t understand basic economics into what makes a community thrive with an anti-business stance that is dangerous to a West Chester that has been very successful at luring in great assets for people to enjoy—which makes them want to spend a lot of money to live in a community that essentially has it all.  West Chester has been successful because it has kept the looting politicians like Joan the Hutt at a distance allowing it to thrive.  People like her will always show up to steal what she can as most typical politicians do, especially liberal ones—but it is up to voters to keep them in check.  That is why she calls herself a Republican when in actuality; she is very far from it.

Congratulations Mark Welch: Lee Wong thinks West Chester government is “perverted”

Many who read here think that I am anti-government.  I am in fact anti-stupid and often when politicians are attracted to government positions for the healthy benefits provided, what you get are the dumbest people in our society signing up for the job because high quality people have better things to do in their life.  Government to me is all about management and I expect the best managers available to do the job of government who don’t need to personally enrich themselves in the process.  With that said I can say that in my hometown of West Chester, Ohio I personally like four of the five people in the below video—which is a trustee meeting for the local government.  One guy, Lee Wong is not one of those four.  I remember very well how he behaved for over six years, especially over a sidewalk he was working hard to extort from public funds near his home across the street from Jags—relatively speaking.  CLICK HERE FOR REVIEW.  He and Cathy Stoker blocked George Lang from being a part of the voting process until George worked hard to get a partner on the board to serve with him resulting in the election of Mark Welch.  When Mark was elected it knocked off Cathy leaving Lee to fend for himself.  Now he’s a disgruntled West Chester trustee.  His partner was eliminated in an election, beaten by Welch who is now the new President.  So congratulations Mark.   Watch the first two minutes of this meeting to see what I’m talking about.

Lee Wong said some very interesting things in that exchange; one was that he thought the process was “perverted.”  Below is the technical definition of perverted and it obviously doesn’t apply.

Where Lee is wrong about the process is that voters saw how he and Cathy had been running things so they elected somebody different in George Lang.  George then went to work looking for a managing partner on the board to help him with the district—because the previous team of Wong and Stoker were functioning from a much more socialist origin position.   You can hear some of that socialism coming out of Lee during the exchange at the meeting with Bruce Jones, the current fiscal officer.  Lee cited that he believed the board was unfair and that he should be elected president by proper rotation.  For George to agree to something like that it would assume that all the trustees were equal in value, and they obviously are not. 

George obviously trusts Mark to be the president, but Lee has shown that his personal values are not aligned with either of the two other trustees.  So to allow a seat of power to fall into Lee’s hands just so he could feel “equal” or “fair” is just ridiculous considering the voters just re-elected Lang doing things they way that he has now for a while.  Then they voted for Welch who was operating as a companion to George.  Between the two West Chester has really sprung into action bringing many exciting opportunities to an already lucrative area.  A lot of the very good things currently happening in West Chester right now could be directly attributed to the four people sitting in that video—excluding Lee of course. 

The world changed under Lee’s feet and he didn’t adapt to those changing circumstances. All through the last decade progressive viewpoints even among conservatives were fashionable.  Now they are not—instead Lang has brought a free market flare to West Chester politics which is allowing economic growth to escalate proportionally.   Lee is now a relic of the past and he doesn’t understand why.  That is why there was the really awkward silence during the meeting where everyone except Lee understood what was going on.  Lee Wong came out sounding like an out-of-touch grandparent demanding that people ride horses instead of cars as a mode of transportation. 

Lee also invoked that he was the top vote getter over both Lang and Welch.  Well, Bernie Sanders is also very popular—socialism is very popular among lazy people and there are some of those people in West Chester.  Government workers and companies that suck up to government workers love socialism.  That much was evident on Martin Luther King Day in January of 2016.  One of the busiest roads through West Chester is 747 at the foot of Beckett Ridge.  On that national holiday the roads were 2/3rds empty as too many people were off work.  I couldn’t help but wonder what all those people were doing on that day off if not something productive.  How could a vibrant society trying to achieve excellent GDP nationally afford to take off a day for the memory of a civil rights leader?  It’s nice to recognize such people with a national day of remembrance, but to take a day off from productive enterprise seems pretty silly. The kind of people who were off on Martin Luther King’s Day are the type of people who voted for Lee Wong—they tend to be lazy, and too addicted to government services—so Lee represents their type of thinking.  That does not mean that Lee should be in charge of the board.  Competition and the marketplace of politics should do that and George Lang has easily outsmarted Lee to achieve what he thinks needs to happen in West Chester.  The voters re-elected Lang’s vision and the businesses who are attracted to West Chester because of the vibrant economic environment that Lang has helped create along with the other four people at that trustee meeting, are a testament to his success. 

Putting Lee in as president just so his feelings weren’t hurt isn’t “fair,” it’s stupid.  For anyone who questions such a proposal just go back to the Beckett Ridge sidewalk story and watch Lee lecture Lang about being unethical and a whole series of slanderous comments that were certainly unfair.  It’s all on tape—CLICK HERE to review.  It is because of Lee’s actions that he’s now on the outside looking in.  Sure, a bunch of socialist lovers voted for him but if they were in the majority, Lang and Welch would not hold the dominate seats and be able to outvote Lee 2 to 1.  That happened because of what Lee himself did, not because the system is “unfair.”

I’m talking about this because I think every school board and trustee meeting in America should learn something from this form of government that George has envisioned to nurture along—with a lot of help from his friends.  If all branches of our government worked as well as George and Welch have helped make West Chester function—we’d all be a lot better off.  I don’t do as many local articles as I used to because honestly, I have readers in over a 170 different countries and the daily stats are quite good.  The power of the written word is like water—people see it sitting there and in small amounts it looks soothing and docile.  But over time it carves many of the rivers, oceans and continental barriers that we see and gives life to the entire planet.  So I put an emphasis on fixing the mind of people who are broken by their educations and cultural references and it takes time for them to see the light of day.  I write to eat away at what’s wrong, to propose that intelligence can imply on collective stupidity.  What good is a large collective mass of rock if water can erode it away into a pebble with a constant presence and pressure to reshape it into something else over time?  The written word has that kind of power.  But in this case the West Chester trustees and the people behind the scenes that make it work—except for Lee Won–are examples of how all governments need to strive to be.  They could take a lesson from George Lang’s playbook. 

Lee Wong is lucky that everyone is so nice to him.  As a functioning socialist George and Mark put up with Lee because they are respecting the voters—those same slack-jawed, lazy, losers who were off work on Martin Luther King’s Day when there were productive enterprises to embark on.  And I think that’s pretty nice of them.  They may not agree with Lee, but at least they let him sit at the table and aren’t ganging up on him the way Stoker and Wong used to do against George when he was still new to the board.  George is a lot nicer to Lee than he needs to be.  Lee’s definition of things needs to change from the kind of East Avenue activity that might actually be considered truly perverted.  The government of West Chester is not an example of absolute power that corrupts.  Absolute power is in working with another trustee to destroy another person while at the same time hunting for real perversions on the streets of Hamilton late at night.  George and Mark aren’t doing that.  Lee on the other hand can’t say the same.  Yet they treat him fairly—so long as he stays out-of-the-way.  West Chester is the example that other governments across the world should be copying.  And before it’s too late for them they need to figure out who their functioning socialists are and brush them out-of-the-way so real people can do the real work that government should have always been doing.  But they can’t allow people like Lee to be in charge just because it’s “fair.”  That’s just not how things work in a capitalist society.
