Take Away 2 1/2 Fries from a Big Mac Meal: The real cost of federal sequestration

On the day after the sequestration implemented from the federal government on March 2nd Darryl Parks from 700 WLW covered the events that transpired in the aftermath as government officials calculated that society might come to an end because of the cuts.  Well, in his usual fashion Darryl brought some non-partisan, non emotional, non group affiliated analysis regarding the sequestration cuts to the light of reality.  As many might be afraid of the rhetoric coming out of Washington Darryl put into the context the extent of the cuts in a fashion that everyone can understand.  The ridiculous amounts that Darryl laid out in his broadcast, and that I break down below in written form are so small that they aren’t even worth discussing.  Yet all the news broadcasts on television cried like infants for over three weeks along with virtually every politician, especially Barack Obama about the costs of these cuts to the social fabric of American society.  So without further fanfare have a listen to Darryl’s broadcast as it was given on March 2nd at 9 AM in the morning.

Most people think that 44 billion sounds like a lot of money, but in regard to the sequestration cuts, it is only 1/80th of the total federal budget.  The federal budget is in fact so large, and deliberately made complicated by the same politicians who have been crying wolf, that most Americans cannot even wrap their mind around the numbers.  Nobody can envision a trillion dollars, and one billion is well out of touch from most people’s minds.  Yet American spending is in a deficit trend of over a trillion dollars per year from an income stream where only 1.35 million Americans at the very top of the income bracket pay as much as the bottom 95%.  In total roughly 130 million Americans pay taxes into the total federal budget minus some revenue generated from foreign trade and travel gathered in the form of sales taxes.  So when it is learned that most of the federal yearly budget supplied to the government is provided by only 130 million Americans—while almost as many more pay no taxes off payroll or other direct measures, the situation becomes incredibly frustrating, and daunting.  Like their counterparts in the government school system, federal bureaucrats make it a practice to deliberately deceive voters into protecting the empire of spending they have recklessly erected.  For more information check out the links below:

http://www.aei-ideas.org/2012/12/top-1-of-american-taxpayers-pay-almost-as-much-in-taxes-as-bottom-95-and-half-of-that-group-paid-nothing-in-2010/

Federal budget by the numbers from the Heritage Foundation:

http://www.heritage.org/research/reports/2012/10/federal-spending-by-the-numbers-2012

Most people start to blank out when such large numbers are expressed so they cannot get their mind around such concepts.  Looting politicians like Barack Obama know this, and have successfully hidden the extremity of these federal numbers behind relatable faces, like children, National Park employees, government janitorial staff and so on—so that tax payers will be inclined to vote in favor of more tax increases to help out their fellow Americans.  The federal government essentially uses the same tactics that we have been fighting locally in the school levy debates—they clearly manipulate the numbers in hopes that nobody can wrap their mind around the truth.  However, Darryl Parks did better than President Obama in showing the hypocrisy of the federal diatribes by putting into a context that everyone can understand the amount of the sequestration cuts that prove just how small they really are—and how much politicians in Washington and the doomsday press blew out of proportion the extent of the damage—which proves that none of them can be trusted.

Darryl did the hard math and discovered that it was much easier to understand the 44 billion in cuts coming from the sequestration reductions that went into effect on March 1st by proportionally breaking it down against something that virtually everyone can relate to, a McDonalds Big Mac extra value meal.  Darryl took the known value of 1320 calories that are contained within a Big Mac extra value meal consisting of a Big Mac sandwich, a medium Coke and a large order of French fries that normally contain 87 individual fries within the container they come in and for sake of argument gave that value of 1320 an equal value to the federal budget.  Now we know that 44 billion in cuts is only 1/80th of the total federal budget, so if we apply the same reduction to the Big Mac value meal, we discover that we will only lose 2 ½ French fries from our feast

Most people eating such a meal would not notice a 2 ½ fry reduction, and in the society at large, particularly the 130 million Americans who pay nearly all the federal tax, they won’t notice any reductions at the federal level.  The only people who will notice the reductions are those who have built their careers in the flimsy existence of government and find themselves jobless in the sequestration cuts.  It will be discovered that many of those reduced jobs were not necessary to begin with just as many of the local schools who have had to reduce their staffs have found that they can still operate with fewer employees as they work to meet their budgets.  The impacted parties are those who work for government at wages that are too high for jobs that were created by government for government reasons.

Nobody in their right mind can argue that losing 2 ½ fries per Big Mac value meal will ever be noticed and will drive down the quality of the meal itself.  Just like the sequestration cuts don’t even come close to bringing our federal government into the light of reality when it comes to fiscal spending of those poor 130 million tax payers who are covering the whole bill.  Yet everyone who covered the sequestration in a negative way is guilty of openly misleading the American people with radical rhetoric that belongs in the basement of old hippie flower children engulfed in pot smoke as they watch reruns of Sesame Street and think themselves sophisticated contributors of society.  In reality, much, much, much more needs to be cut from our extra value meals if we wish as a nation to lose any weight and take measures to truly get our budget under control.  Taking away 2 ½ French fries out of 87 won’t do the job—and is not even worth the discussion which has transpired.

The Audacity of Government Spending: Putting things in perspective on the national debt

To put in perspective just how ridiculous our current government is in its demands for ever-expanding government, more and more government employees, and exploding encroachments of every individual American life, the video below places into context the audacity of modern politicians regarding the debt crises.  The government through both the Bush administration and Obama administration have attempted to pad the numbers of a declining economy with government expansion to the point of bringing the nation to a current $17 trillion-dollar deficit moving rapidly toward $20 trillion.  Sadly, the video below, which is only a year or two old, was made when people like me were already deeply concerned at $14 trillion.  I and my Tea Party friends were aghast when the deficit hit $10 trillion, and by the time the video below was made, I had already given up on current government.  The state of America today isn’t even on the measuring stick of sanity regarding finance.  When I hear Obama speak about the sequestration cuts and how difficult it is for him to even digest a 2.5% reduction in government which is still deficit spending, it places me in the mind of the banker seen below, with the President playing the idiot asking for an increase in the debt ceiling.

Obama’s argument for increasing the debt ceiling is that “America pays its debts.”  The trouble is the President won’t stop spending money, which forces America to pay for things it can’t afford.  America cannot afford to be a nanny state, it cannot afford to take care of more than 50% of the nation who doesn’t work, or pay taxes.  It cannot take care of senior citizens who retire at 65 and live till age 90 on the government dime as there are fewer children being born than ever before who will have fewer jobs to work in as adults so that they can continue to pay into Social Security.

The government cannot afford to give insurance to every American.  It cannot afford to build the political party of one left leaning side with entitlement spending—which is what has been happening.  Democrats and progressives know that their political base cannot support a voting base with their ideas, but only with what they can give away to purchase votes from the most ignorant among the American population.  They like the guy in the video above when he’s told that he cannot have the money instantly states that without raising the debt limit, his wife will leave him, because if he cannot spend money to keep his wife happy, their marriage will fall apart.

So too will the marriage between young people and progressive Democrats erode away to nothing when the money runs out.  When there are no free things to gain like welfare, free insurance, free education, easy government jobs that pay 40% more than private sector jobs, etc., voters will reject the party of handouts, the Democrats.  Obama knows this, which is why he played the scare game over sequestration only to back pedal when he realized that Republicans like the banker above had reached their limit.

For me, that limit was a long, long time ago.  I reached my limit during 2005 in the Bush years.   People I know best started reading Atlas Shrugged between 2005 and 2007 and were ready to throw George Bush out of office for creating the Department of Homeland Security, the TSA and other massive government programs.  There were already murmurings of starting a Tea Party like organization even back then when I fought the first Lakota levy in Butler County where that government school showed a never-ending tendency to spend more money than they ever take in, just like the guy in the video above.  Once Obama was elected, and the Lakota teachers showed in 2008 what national teachers all across America were really up to, many in the Liberty Movement had already reached their boiling point.  By 2009 and 2010, coordinated measures to expose spending addicts like the guy in the video above were being implemented to render publicly so that voters would come to understand the unsustainable path that America was on.  Unfortunately, half the country presently is just like the guy in the video above.  They are like heroin addicts—in denial of their addiction to spending and they are on a self-destructive path to always spend more than they take in and they are electing politicians into office who will provide them that fix.  What these politicians have in common with these spending addicts is that they too have the same problem—they can’t control themselves.

Obama lies to the public in the same way that an alcoholic or drug addict justifies their mental illness.  Obama appears to have no connection to reality over the issue of money and is just as foolish as the metaphorical display in the video above.  Proportionately he is just as reckless.   Like the banker, we should all dismiss Obama as a fool who has an obvious problem.  He should even be impeached as stated in Article One, section Two of The United States Constitution where it reports, “The House of Representatives shall choose their Speaker and other Officers; and shall have the sole Power of Impeachment.”  The writers of the Constitution intended for American presidents to overstep their bounds and be impeached by the House on occasion, but members of the House and Senate are just as bad.  So who are they to throw stones in a glass house?   The result is that nobody does anything but cave into the addicts, because they all share the same sickness.

The very small cuts that Obama is bellyaching over are just as foolish as the silly amount discussed above.  2.5% is hardly worth even mentioning.  I wouldn’t be happy until more than 50% of the current budget is slashed.  I don’t want the government to do much of anything except build up a military, run a bit of a post office, help NASA along, maintain roadways, and that’s about it.  The private sector could and would take care of virtually everything else.  The people who would be left behind in such an economy are those who refuse to participate even when politicians like Obama steal from others and place the goods at the feet of the malcontent—who even then hardly picks up the food to place in their mouths.  All of society should not be destroyed because the addicts of spending like Obama and his Capitol Hill thugs cannot regulate themselves, and have no understanding of what makes a human being rise in the morning to meet a day’s challenges.

Like the banker we should run Obama out of our offices and take away his credit cards.  We should not feel bad about it either, because it is him who has mismanaged his own life, and built a party around debt and theft.  So the fault of a failing economy falsely propped up by government expansion will be his alone.  The loss of jobs created not by demand, but by whim are the fault of Obama for not measuring need against desire.  The fault of the days to come will fall squarely on Obama’s shoulders and Republicans would do well to close the door and let Obama and his party fall completely into disarray by their own recklessness.  Because the current debt is abysmal—I personally support nothing that contributes to those debts. I do not care about government pensions.  I don’t have one, and I never will—so I don’t want to pay for somebody else’s pension.  I don’t care about public schools.  I’d rather pay for private tutors and instruction.  I don’t care about Social Security.  I have no plans to ever collect a Social Security check and would consider the money dirty if I did.  I have no need of Medicaid, or Medicare.  I manage my own health and well-being under my own funds, and I have no sympathy for those who cannot, or refuse to.    I pay roughly $20K a year in personal taxes when I add up all the little things, and I get very little in return for that money.  Nearly 1/5th of that number goes to public schools alone which I think is a complete waste of money.   I may use $2,000 of that $20K, and it’s been that way for over 15 years, and that is not a good ROI.  When congress messed up the Social Security tax this year, I notice immediately that I was paying $80 more a month in just Social Security tax from December 31st 2012 to January 1st 2013.  Congress allowed those taxes to fly in under the radar while everyone else was looking at the fiscal cliff negotiations.  I don’t get a damn thing for the $80 lost dollars—nothing.  It’s just more looted money lost in the pit of a government being run by money addicts that are just as in denial of their social imposition as any rampant drug user.

More than ever I want to push the government out of the finance office for their unreasonable requests that are every bit as foolish, and animated as the idiot who wants to raise his personal debt ceiling in the video above.  It is astonishing that politicians like Obama can even stand in front of people and ask for more money when $80 dollars here and $80 dollars there fly from our pockets like pennies on a roller coaster.  The arrogant politician has no concept of what they ask, and are just as ridiculous in their demands as displayed in the above metaphor.  And it has to stop.  It has to stop right here, and right now.  The money addicts have to be driven from office and their parties destroyed for the good of America.   Nothing less is acceptable.

Barack Obama is America’s Jeroboam: How History will treat the $17 trillion dollar deficit driving President

I wanted the opportunity to vote for Herman Cain in the 2012 election, so what I am about to say has nothing to do with Civil Rights advances, or even politics.  The game that is being played is clear in a society that ridiculed Herman Cain ruthlessly, yet celebrated Barack Obama even though they are both African-Americans.  The performance of President Obama during the last week of February 2013 before the sequester deadline, which was set by his administration two years prior, proves what many have all along feared about Obama, and I am convinced that history will remember the current presidency as not just an appalling failure, but a horrendous blip on the radar of American prosperity.  It will be revealed that all along, Obama was a domestic terrorist at war with The American Constitution with an aim at radical destruction of prosperity in The United States to redistribute the wealth of America to the rest of the world, only to destroy the global economy in the process.  There is no other explanation for the reckless campaigning Obama engaged in trying to evoke fear in federal workers ahead of the sequester deadline.  What he has failed to report in his campaigning to federal workers is that even with the sequester cuts The United States is still spending more this year than it did last year pushing our national debt on a path toward $17 trillion.  Obama is either a complete idiot, which is possible—or he is a domestic terrorist intentionally attempting to wreck the American economy forever.  There really isn’t any other option, and that makes the situation in Washington a perilous one that may be the greatest threat to our Republic since the War of 1812.

If Obama proves in historical context, once the emotions of the day have quelled, to have been the later of the feared motivations, it would not have been the first time such a thing occurred.  In Biblical history, Obama’s current path might most parallel the actions of Jeroboam who advanced his rule over Israel by means of perpetuating the division of the southern Kingdom of Judah.  Obama like Jeroboam has spent his reign doing nothing but perpetuating war so that in the division would defeat his enemies so they could not rise up against him directly.  Obama has no interest in controlling costs or leaving America better of a country than when he found it, and he seeks to destroy all opposition to him through the kind of antics that history has seen time and time again.  But these mechanisms are invisible to the modern television viewer who believes that Obama’s presidency is about proving America has overcome its follies in a post Civil War America.  But the strategic intent is much, much more sinister.

So who was Jeroboam?  Here is what Wikipedia offers:

Jeroboam pron.: /ˌɛrəˈb.əm/ (Hebrew: יָרָבְעָם yarobh`am, Greek: Ιεροβοάμ Hieroboam) was the first king of the northern Israelite Kingdom of Israel after the revolt of the ten northern Israelite tribes against Rehoboam that put an end to the United Monarchy.

Jeroboam reigned for 22 years. William F. Albright has dated his reign from 922 to 901 BC, while Edwin R. Thiele offers the dates 931 to 910 BC.[1]

Jeroboam was the son of Nebat (Douay-Rheims: Nabat), a member of the Tribe of Ephraim of Zereda. His mother[3], named Zeruah was a widow (and could have been leprous[citation needed], as her name translates; 1 Kings 11:26) He had at least two sons — Abijam[4] and Nadab, who succeeded him on the throne.

While still young, Jeroboam was promoted by Solomon to be chief superintendent of the “burnden”, i.e. the bands of forced laborers.[5]

Influenced by the words of the prophet Ahijah (1 Kings 11:29-39), he began to form conspiracies with the view of becoming king of the ten tribes; but these were discovered, and he fled to Egypt, where he remained under the protection of pharaoh Shishak until the death of Solomon.[6] On the death of Solomon, Rehoboam assumed the throne. However, the ten northern tribes revolted against his rule and invited Jeroboam to become their king. The conduct of Rehoboam favored the designs of Jeroboam, and he was accordingly proclaimed “king of Israel”.[7]

He rebuilt and fortified Shechem as the capital of his kingdom. He at once adopted means to perpetuate the division with the southern Kingdom of Judah. He erected at Dan and Bethel, the two extremities of his kingdom, “golden calves,” which he set up as symbols of God, enjoining the people not any more to go up to worship at Solomon’s Temple in Jerusalem, but to bring their offerings to the shrines he had erected.

Thus he became distinguished as the man “who made Israel to sin.” This policy was followed by all the succeeding kings of Israel.

According to 1 Kings 13:1-6, while Jeroboam was engaged in offering incense at Bethel, a “man of God” warned him that “a son named Josiah will be born to the house of David” who would destroy the altar (referring to King Josiah of Judah who would rule approximately three hundred years later). Attempting to arrest the prophet for his bold words of defiance, Jeroboam’s hand was “dried up,” and the altar before which he stood was rent asunder. At his urgent entreaty his “hand was restored him again” (1 Kings 13:1-6, compare 2 Kings 23:13-16); but the miracle made no abiding impression on him. This “man of God” who warned Jeroboam has been equated with a seer named Iddo.[8]

He was in constant “war with the house of Judah”. While the southern kingdom made no serious effort to militarily regain power over the north, there was a long-lasting boundary dispute, fighting over which lasted during the reigns of several kings on both sides before being finally settled.

In the eighteenth year of Jeroboam’s reign, Abijah, Rehoboam’s son, became king of Judah.[9] During his short reign of three years, Abijah went to considerable lengths to bring the Kingdom of Israel back under his control. He waged a major battle against Jeroboam in the mountains of Ephraim. Biblical sources credit Abijah with having a force of 400,000 and Jeroboam having 800,000.[10] The Biblical sources mention that Abijah addressed the armies of Israel, urging them to submit and to let the Kingdom of Israel be whole again,[11] but his plea fell on deaf ears. Abijah then rallied his own troops with a phrase which has since become famous: “Jehovah (God) himself is with us for a captain (commander of the army).” As per the Bible His elite warriors fended off a pincer movement to rout Jeroboam’s troops — killing 500,000 of them.[12]

Jeroboam was crippled by this severe defeat to Abijah and posed little threat to the Kingdom of Judah for the rest of his reign.[13] He also lost the towns of Bethel, Jeshanah and Ephron, with their surrounding villages.[14] Bethel was an important centre for Jeroboam’s Golden Calf cult (which used non-Levites as priests),[15] located on Israel’s southern border, which had been allocated to the Tribe of Benjamin by Joshua, as was Ephron, which is believed to be the Ophrah that was allocated to the Tribe of Benjamin by Joshua.[16]

Jeroboam died soon after Abijam.

Bill O’Reilly as a journalist is someone I respect tremendously.  He attempts to call things as straight as he can, which is why he is one of the most trusted news sources around today.  I don’t always agree with him, but he really works to get to the truth of an issue.  O’Reilly recently tackled the view that history might take upon gazing at Obama’s Presidency, and it was very good.  O’Reilly covered the topic on one of his Talking Points Memos heard during the same week of Obama’s campaigning during February.  O’Reilly uses less colorful language than I do, but his essence is much the same and is worth reading for just the statistics alone.

How will history view President Obama:

By Bill O’Reilly

In just a few days automatic federal spending cuts might kick in. That is known as “the sequester”, a word we don’t like here at The Factor because it’s a word few understand and it’s largely meaningless.

The issue is very, very simple. President Obama does not want to cut federal spending without another tax increase. Republicans say no way, they are not going to continue to feed the federal spending colossus as can be seen clearly by the following quotes:

OBAMA: Most Americans — Democrats, Republicans and Independents — understand that we can’t just cut our way to prosperity.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE IN BUDGET HEARINGS: I want to disagree with those who say we have a spending problem.

REP. NANCY PELOSI: So it is almost a false argument to say we have a spending problem. We have a budget deficit problem that we have to address.

SEN. MARY LANDRIEU: I am not going to keep cutting the discretionary budget, which, by the way, is not out of control, despite what you hear on Fox News.

O’REILLY: Senator Landrieu and others are simply wrong. The federal spending is certainly out of control. The debt is approaching $17 trillion.

Here is how bad it is. In 2003 the U.S. spent just above $2 trillion. This year, the estimated spending will be $3.6 trillion, a 75 percent rise in spending in a 10-year period with no inflation.

And what do we have to show for all that spending? The economy is not much better. The poverty rate is about the same as it was 50 years ago. And salaries for working people are going down.

So why are we spending all the money? For what reason? I’ll tell you why. Take a look at this chart put out by the Pew Research Center. It says 48 percent of Americans want smaller government and fewer services. But among Hispanics, only 19 percent want smaller government and fewer services. A whopping 75 percent of Latinos surveyed approve of bigger government and more entitlements. That’s why President Obama is spending the money because he knows that a coalition of African-Americans, Hispanic Americans, organized labor, and committed liberals will overwhelm the Republican Party.

So in essence, the President is putting party politics above the good of the nation. History will record that and a few years from now when President Obama’s administration is evaluated historians will not care about his charisma, his co-opting of the press or his demeanor in general. No. History will look at the facts. And the facts are that the USA is on the road to bankruptcy. And when that happens, if it does, President Obama will be blamed.

Previous presidents like Van Buren, Harding, Coolidge and Hoover all got hammered because of perceived bad economic policies. The fact is that right now Barack Obama is in that historical category. And that’s a fact.

And that’s “The Memo.”

Obama’s forgetfulness of his sequestration deadline, which was set by The White House, reminds me most of the Popeye the Sailor character of Wimpy, who was famous for saying, “I’ll pay your Tuesday for a hamburger today.”   Well, Tuesday is here, and Obama doesn’t want to pay for his hamburgers.  Instead, he wants another loan for more hamburgers to be paid on many future Tuesdays, and it is hard to believe that anybody could be so stupid, unless they have deliberate intentions of collapsing the American economy.

Historically speaking, it appears that Obama will be viewed equally as Jeroboam, an intention divider of The United States for aims of power and wealth redistribution using Saul Alinsky tactics to execute the aims of Cloward and Piven.  Unlike the times of Jeroboam, armies are not on hand to fight in hand to hand combat as factions meet on the battlefield to keep people like Jeroboam in power.  These days’ armies are congregated in board rooms and banks.  The new arrows of combat are check books and debt.  The intent of battle and war in general is to force an opponent into concessions through violence, sanctions, or political manipulation.  Obama is not even trying to work with Republicans, instead, he is attacking, and attacking, and attacking at every opportunity while running up a tremendous debt with the recklessness of Wimpy, except he never seems to have a desire to even pay on Tuesday.  The intent appears to be complete fiscal collapse and that would be considered domestic terrorism which is something all Americans should guard against.  Trying to invoke fear into political opponents and the masses behind them can be termed in no other way, and in this case exceeds the parameters of normal political theater.  The level that Obama is attempting to carry the divisiveness of modern politics appears to have the same aim as Jeroboam, and will be remembered as such.  The evidence is clear, and cannot be ascertained in any other fashion, unless of course Obama is just a complete fool that is as reckless in his designs as an intoxicated gambler on a Saturday night.  Either way, history will not be kind to Barack Obama.  The only question is whether America survives such a parasite as sixteen years of progressive rule on top of another eight that have severed half the nation from the values they had always held before the election of 1992.  It is easy to see the demise in historical context over decades.  But not so easy to see in the immediacy of the moment, which is the strategy of war played in modern politics, and seems to be the motivation of Barack Obama, the modern version of Jeroboam.  The severed tribes of Obama are Hispanics, women, African-Americans, union leaders, the poor, the un-ambitious, and the government worker being paid extraordinary sums for a job the tax payer does for nearly half the same market value money.  It is war that Obama is conducting and in order to continue that war, he needs more irresponsible spending and a government that will grow by another 100% in the coming years till America is no better than Europe economically.  The slate of the world will then be wiped clean for Socialist International to step in and rule us all through the United Nations.  That appears to be the intentions of America’s modern version of Jeroboam.

Many enemies work behind a cloak of good intentions, but most of them have other ideas concealed deep in their social plots.  Evil is sometimes a point of view, and what might be evil for America might provoke sainthood among the advocates of global government.  A rival team might be considered evil if they score a touchdown beating the hometown favorite—but the actions behind Obama are much worse than these kinds of trivial competitions.  He is attacking every single American for seemingly ideological reasons, either through reckless stupidity or deliberate sabotage.  But History will grade Obama a failure either way and a menace to all of civilization as they attempt to dig out from underneath the years of Obama with more than shovels.  History will place Obama with the terrorists Jeroboam and the worst of the Roman Emperors.  Such a legacy will outlast the political whims of the modern age, and will forever be viewed with the same kind of sinister sentiment as our current times view Stalin, Mao, and every tyrant who has so far breathed and walked the Earth.  Obama will forever be just another brick in the road to tyranny that threatened the freedoms of every individual in the entire world with soul crushing debt recklessly applied to achieve a military victory long ago hatched in the living room of college Marxist professors in the glory days of being a “community organizer,” where the weak hearts of the great American enemy was discussed over mixed drinks and cigarettes to great effect and long-term strategy.

A Kindergarten Teacher Plots Murder with a School Nurse: The many tribulations of secularism in public schools

When Barack Obama beats on his chest, as he did during the sequestration talks, and declares that America is somehow falling short by allowing cuts to occur in programs that feed the education industry he seems to be including all teachers and education workers in his audacious statements.  His statements are audacious because he insists that America is more committed to corporate jets than education as he gallivants around the world at tax payer expense in Air Force One.  For him and his wife, he doesn’t think the rules apply to him as he is a member of the ruling elite—as he sees the world, so he obviously doesn’t make the connection.  Such perceptions of reality come directly from our nation’s education system which Obama advocates on behalf of his progressive comrades in organized labor.   So one can only assume that Obama’s education system includes teachers that plan the murder of ex-husbands so that kindergarten teachers can avoid paying their husband’s money such as in the case of the Virginia elementary school teacher and a school nurse that are facing charges in what police are calling a murder-for-hire plot.

Angela Nolen, a 47-year-old kindergarten teacher, was arrested in February 2013 for allegedly plotting to hire a hit man to kill her ex-husband for $8,000. According to police, Nolen’s friend 37-year-old Cathy Bennett, the school nurse, worked with Nolen to find the hit man.  According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, Nolen’s plan unraveled when she gave a police officer, working under cover as a hit man, an up-front fee of $4,000 to kill her ex-husband, 63-year-old Paul Strickler.

http://gma.yahoo.com/blogs/abc-blogs/kindergarten-teacher-school-nurse-held-murder-hire-plot-171429058–abc-news-topstories.html

When politicians like Obama utter blind devotion to education without applying a value to the type of employees that schools utilize, or even attempt to decipher the kind of education that children are getting he is reflecting his ignorance in being raised in the public school system of Jakarta, Indonesia.  In Jakarta, the public schools are the best things children see on a day-to-day basis because the children are growing up in a third world country.  The content of the education matters less than the fact that children get to sit in a chair under a solid roof for a few hours a day—as opposed to their homes in thatched huts, or sleeping in an alley with a blanket over their head while their mothers cook dinner in the hubcap of a discarded tire.  Such murder plots are common in third world countries, so children who are the products of those environments obviously don’t see the trouble—and Barack Obama is a product of those environments.  Politicians like Obama are flawed people just as children taught under teachers like Angela Nolen will end up flawed because children are incredibly influenced by the adults in their lives, and if the teachers are planning to execute their ex-husbands even in their private time that the essence of their personalities will come out in their instruction to children.

The trouble with Obama’s view of education and those administrators who regret in hindsight their employment of Nolan is that they have helped create through deficient education of progressive ideas the demoralized world of the current through their policies of secularism.  Nolan should not have been a teacher, and there should be mechanisms in place to detect such folly driven personalities.  However, because of the progressive labor union mentality of large central government that wishes with all its heart and soul to replace the worship of any God with worship of the God of government, religious worship has been separated from the act of education, which has left millions upon millions of children lacking a spiritual identity which is the backbone of education.  Without spiritual value, education has nothing to adhere to, and children find that everything they learn from secularists like Angela Nolan flies in one ear and right out the other, because there is no value in between for knowledge to grip onto and grow within an individual. The progressive commitment to secularism has destroyed public education and the process started with the 1947 Supreme Court ruling of Everson v. Board of Education which began a series of secular Constitutional interpretations that gradually pushed all concept of value from public education class rooms.  At this point dear reader, it is important to understand the proper definition of the word secularism, because it is a silent disease that is destroying our world.

Secularism by definition:

  • Holding a system of political or social philosophy that rejects all forms of religious faith and worship.
  • Embracing the view that public education and other matters of civil policy should be conducted without the introduction of religious element.
  • Having indifference to, or a rejection or exclusion of, religion and religious considerations.
  • Believing that religious considerations should be excluded from civil affairs.

The results of secularism can be seen in everyday life without any effort.  They include:

  • An individual student may not say a voluntary prayer at a football game, graduation, or any other school event.
  • Cadets at military academies may not engage in offering voluntary prayers over their meals.
  • A choir may not sing a religious song as part of a school concert.
  • A school may not place a Bible in a classroom library.
  • An individual student may not write a research paper on a religious topic, draw religious artwork in an art class, or carry is personal Bible onto school grounds.

I am hardly a Bible thumping practitioner of hard-core Christian obedience.  My views on religion can best be discovered by CLICKING HERE.  However when I make such statements I assume that there is a basic understanding of spiritual essence in the life of the listener, and the primary religions of the world can provide that basic human need.  Without a spiritual essence there is no way to teach another human being anything but to be a slave, because education requires an appreciation of cultural value in order to learn the most basic math problem.  Secular progressives like Obama’s clan of domestic radicals have destroyed the very social mechanism of education that they proclaim to adore with the same hypocrisy as claiming that corporate jets are evil while they usher themselves about in a very expensive tax payer funded airplane in Air Force One.

When progressives seek to advance the Muslim faith, they are not doing it to advance the cause of spiritual awareness, or to provide a comparison between the Holy Bible and the Koran.  They seek through their secular philosophy to crush Christianity by pitting the faith of Islam against it.  Their hope is not the spread of Muslim faith as much as it is to provoke war between the faiths to spread the desire for secularism—by causing public establishments to abandon any discussion of religious and spiritual value, secular progressives hope to create a void that will then be replaced by government.

These times are not the first in history where government sought to destroy the religions of conquered people so that society would view the ruling class as a deity on Earth.  As a general rule, every advanced society that had a King, a dictator, a centralized ruler of any kind has sought to replace in the mind of man the idea that it is the highest member of government who is the deity that the people must be concerned with.  Secular progressives due to their mindless pursuit of social collectivism wish to have centralized government be the ruling deity in the lives of the masses.  Of course the next step in such a world is to have a centralized figure ruling in such a power vacuum over the government body.  Collectivist theories fail because they never figure into their plans that government will never operate as the ambitionless democracy Plato contemplated in his book The Republic.  Ambition for power over others will always taint the human mind until evolution millions of future years ahead bring the event about.  Until such a day humans will be governed by their spiritual values.

Secularists wish to believe that Thomas Jefferson was the kind of Founding Father who believed in secular government, and they have advanced that fabrication for their own ends.  But such a statement is a falsehood equivalent to Barack Obama’s commitment to education.  Jefferson’s actual beliefs reflect much more closely my own as he understood that spiritual value was the key to resisting future tyrants.  In fact, Jefferson purposed as the national motto the phrase, “Rebellion to Tyrants is Obedience to God” to Congress in 1776.  Jefferson was less concerned about the style of God worshipped, but was much more concerned with the recognition that some sort of dedication to a higher cause was needed to resist the dangling temptations of tyrants in all future government endeavors.

Angela Nolan was a tyrant to her kindergarten class.  Countless children were exposed to her distorted viewpoints as she taught children their basic values while plotting the death of her husband with a school nurse who had become her co-working friend.   The public school is at fault because it allowed secular viewpoints to drive spiritual value from institutional education, allowing people like Angela Nolan to possibly plan for the murder with her friend in the teacher’s lounge of a school without fear that the other co-workers might take offense.  In a society that lacks value because of secularism, those of the loosest system of value among mankind can see themselves as equals in comparison to the most moral, and can be employed as school teachers, lawyers, politicians and all professions that touch the lives of many.  Secularism is the cause of Angela Nolan being in a school classroom teaching children and administrators are powerless to assert value because lawyers would sue them for their implementation of religious views.  So it should come as no surprise that more teachers in public education will plot the murder of others while teaching children in kindergarten or teachers who have gratuitous sex with underage kids, because values in public school are lacking.  The acts of detriment are only bad when compared to the value of sin that most learn in religious pursuits.  When those values are stripped away, there is nothing to keep a teacher from imposing on young people their inner demons which harm children in subtle ways forever.

When Obama says he is dedicated to education and that more money should be spent on teachers like Angela Nolan, he is speaking with the mouth of a fool who lacks personal value.  There are thousands of Angela Nolans out there in the world of public education and they feel entitled to inflict tyranny upon society through the innocence of children.  The broken souls of existence who plot the murder of their ex-husbands or the seduction of young students for sexual gratification are the products of secular progressivism and through collective endeavor are destined to destroy the lives of everyone they touch.  This makes Obama and any politician who advances a system that produces more people like Angela Nolan complacent in every life that is destroyed because of secular progressivism and the products of it like Angela and her friend the school nurse who fantasized in their warped minds that they could kill Nolan’s husband and keep the money from the sale of a house to live happily ever after in progressive utopia, which includes murder, rape and human sacrifice to the gods of government and the tyrants wishing to quell any rebellion by goodness against their desire to rule the world, and everyone in it.

The West Chester Police Beating that Cost $265,000: Trustee George Lang presents the case

On February 13th, 2013 West Chester Township decided to settle a lawsuit brought against it by Jeremy Lewis winning the victim of police brutality $265,000 of tax money because of the over zealous work by four officers who called to a bar fight as a sports bar was closing.  Because of the large settlement, West Chester Trustee George Lang wanted to provide an explanation to the portion of the community most concerned over waste in tax expenses—the West Chester Tea Party.  In the video below Lang explains in explicit detail the now famous video in slow motion and why he felt the township should settle out-of-court rather than risk showing it in a court of law.

http://www.wlwt.com/news/local-news/butler-county/West-Chester-reaches-settlement-in-beating-lawsuit/-/13601510/18529370/-/f7d2m8/-/index.html

Watching that video no matter what the official comments of the police force were, it is easy to conclude that the second officer who arrived on the scene, the one who sprayed the pepper spray in Lewis’s face, would have done much better to express more logic.  Since the video has no audio we will never know what Lewis might have said to the officer to provoke being sprayed in the face with repellant, but logic would dictate that the officer used excessive force that was not necessary.  If the training that officers are given instructs them to be such panicky primates, then the training needs to be re-evaluated quickly.

To my eyes if I were on a jury watching this video I would have to agree with the assessment of Trustee Lang—the second officer with his adrenaline pumping wanted to show his authority over Lewis in a way that would make Cartman from the cartoon on Comedy Central South Park proud.  If the officer had been comfortable with his position of authority he could have easily handled the situation differently waiting for his back-up to arrive in mass and hand cuff Lewis for an uneventful arrest.  Rather, he chose aggressive domination of Lewis behind the authority of the law for reasons that appear to exceed the situation which deserves ridicule.   It is in those actions by the police that the cost of $265,000 was levied against the West Chester tax payers.

The situation exacerbated once the other two officers arrived on the scene and through collective recourse they felt entitled to beat Lewis into submission with gang like imposition.  In spite of what the unified front from the police department stated in defense of their officers they were obviously more concerned with protecting their own than the merit of true justice.  There were officers who felt guilt over the incident and reported to Lang later the information that the police who conducted the beating were bragging about the incident at the station, much to their disgust.  In my assessment the officers who were upset by the bragging are the kind of officers I have no reservations of employing.  But the officers who conducted the beating and the administrators who wished to shove this incident under the carpet with flimsy explanations and malicious intent are those who make me feel terrible to learn that West Chester police make more money than any police force anywhere from Pittsburgh to Indianapolis, which is quite a statement.   CLICK HERE TO SEE WHAT WEST CHESTER POLICE MAKE.

The police union has already shown displeasure with Trustee Lang because he recently did not vote in favor of their recent contract increase.  Lang is trying to reel in costs for the police department the way he should, but that doesn’t stop administrators from using other measures to apply pressure against Lang.  As Lang spoke at the Tea Party meeting an undercurrent of fear emerged that was almost audible during the silent portion of the video viewing the first run through.  The reason came from not desiring to be on the wrong side of the law.  Politicians like Lang have a good reason to fear the same police they employee because the collective force behind law enforcement is one where it is well-known that police will look out for their own as a collective unit, and this is what makes them dangerous.  If they get caught doing something wrong—as in the case of the police beating, the police force expects the trustees to just pay the money and make the problem go away.  Internally, there was no disciplinary action, no recourse, and no punishment of any kind.  There was just a hope that the trustees would pay the money and make the problem disappear with the same audacity that the police force expects trustees to blindly approve pay increases for them without question, even when they are already the highest paid officers in this part of the country.

In my assessment of the video looking behind the shell game of blame, I see in the actions of the police force a desire to occasionally beat people like Jeremy Lewis so that the authority of police is asserted on the public so that when levy time comes, there is the gentle nudge of intimidation that puts in the minds of voters a fear that they don’t want to find themselves on the wrong side of the police.  Even as Lang spoke, it ran through my mind that he was taking a risk, because word would get out in the station house that one of the West Chester Trustees was speaking out negatively in regard to the police action.  The hot-blooded youth in the modern police force do not see the logic or cost implications behind the out-of-court settlement, they will only see that Lang is not with them right or wrong—and that makes Lang a target.  The same fear came from people directly related to the case who didn’t want their names revealed least they find themselves pulled over by the same police officers at midnight and treated the same way that Jeremy Lewis was.  The public tendency of norm including the other two trustees in West Chester has been to ignore these kinds of problems and throw money at them to go away and hope that those of authority are not angered so that the officers do not cast their revenge upon the tax paying citizen.  The fear is real and was put there by cases like the one that occurred with Jeremy Lewis over a long period of time.

In the audience at the end of the video George Lang presented, was the former assistance chief of police from Union Twp., which is what West Chester used to be called.  This man held the position as far back as when the great tornado of 1974 hit Mason causing him to work 7 consecutive days without sleep because of the massive damage done.  All cops are not bad, in fact many of them are very good people.  But…………when they function as a “collective” entity, they can be dangerous.  Many of them are only 25 to 30 years old and do not have much life wisdom about them yet, so when 4 hot-blooded males in a police uniform with the power of the badge behind them show up at a bar at 2:30 in the morning, the ability to beat an unarmed man into submission to prove their manhood and overcome internal insecurities is very tempting.  The old assistant chief of police testified before the Tea Party his experience with violence and the tendency of new officers to escalate a situation instead of exercising de-escalation procedures due to their modern training.  The training officers receive is largely approved by FOP organizations that have contained within them a desire to put political posturing in such confrontations to escalate a level of fear and respect that has aims beyond righteousness.  The aims behind the beatings is to create a level of perceived danger that ultimately hopes to influence the public when police levies come due, in direct reaction to contracts that are often approved by trustees who fear falling out of favor with their employees, the police.  In West Chester the scheme has worked, police are paid more than anywhere else in the Midwest—yet the danger on the job is less than just about anyplace else.  So there is pressure to “create” dangerous situations from time to time and a drunk fighting at a bar at 2:30 in the morning is an easy target.  Unfortunately for the young officers who participated in the beating, they didn’t think that the action would be captured on a security camera—since normally the situation would have been contained and rumor from the mouth of Jeremy Lewis would have moved through the community without the court system regulating the authenticity.

The lesson of this incident is that police should do a better job of controlling their personal fears and not let their anxiety get the better of them.  They should also not use the unfortunate position of people like Jeremy Lewis to impose their authority on the public in general with such force.  The police should also not take out their wrath on trustees who do not agree with their labor contracts, or speak out against the actions of the collective because they feel they need to explain why the bad decisions of the police force cost West Chester tax payers $265,000.  But on a larger scale, the public in general should come to understand that police should not be given absolute authority over the lives of private citizens.  The failure of the police in the Jeremy Lewis case is exactly why the new federal NDAA Act will never work, and cannot be imposed upon American citizens.  Police are only human beings, and can never be given so much power to violate the lives, liberty and pursuit of a good life of any person.  The aims of their collective organization do not supersede the rights of an individual even if that individual is a drunken malcontent shouting obscenities at authority without discretion.  The first and second officer at the scene knew they had a gun on their hip and other weapons on their bodies that could easily subdue a person of such staggered appearance.  The officers are expected to be cooler than that, and they are paid well to be the best.  They are not paid to be thugs in the streets of West Chester and to give in to boyish desires to prove their manhood.  And because they weren’t West Chester is not only out the cost of their salaries, but also a hit to our community reputation, and the cost of the court settlement—which are all excessive just because the personal valor of the officers was lacking.

Rich Hoffman Loves Education: Thomas Jefferson did not have sex with Sally Hemings

Contrary to what many think I do not hate education.  In truth I doubt you know dear reader any ten adults combined who works as hard as I do every day to learn something new.  The people I look up to and admire are not movie actors, sports figures and celebrities, but rather scientists like Leonardo da Vinci, and Founding Fathers like Thomas Jefferson.  I admire personalities who continue to grow and learn their entire lives and dedicate their very souls to goodness, and perpetual knowledge.  I find anything less to be disgusting honestly, and I have no pity for less.  In that regard I felt it necessary to provide some context about some of the many bits of mail that I received after my article on the new superintendent Keith Kline who moved from Lakota to West Clermont recently.  The collection of nay-sayers in the wake of that article (CLICK HERE FOR REVIEW) collectively assumed that I had no right to say anything about Kline’s movement from one job to another—that it wasn’t any of my business—“that everything that happens in public education doesn’t have to be approved by Rich Hoffman.” Well……………….I beg to differ.  Before I explain why, please do refer to the below article link about the Franklin superintendent who recently rallied against several schools including one where my friend Kelly Kohls happens to be president of the school board in Springboro.  Apparently Arnol Elam was playing Angry Birds on his phone during Kasich’s recent budget proposal because money is not being taken from the poor districts and given to the rich as Elam suggested in a letter he sent to parents urging them to remove Kasich and other legislators who supported the new budget.  Elam should have been paying attention because in fact the opposite is true, much to my displeasure.  (CLICK HERE TO HEAR THE GOVERNOR HIMSELF talk about his budget)  Kelly Kohls and her Springboro school board have done a good job of managing their district without tax increases and is one of the examples that Kasich has been looking at for how all public schools should be run. (CLICK HERE TO SEE KELLY AND I SPEAK AT AN EDUCATION EVENT.  But Elam has other motives.  He doesn’t like Kelly Kohls because of her open campaigning for Senate Bill 5 a few years ago, and he doesn’t like the conservative governor.  He represents the typical labor union radical that is in public education these days, and it is people like him that have brought me to my conclusions about public education.

http://www.daytondailynews.com/news/news/franklin-schools-under-investigation/nWPmZ/

Below is a clip of what Kelly has been able to do as President of Springboro schools.

If public education were about actually teaching children, I would be all for it.  If little boys wanted to grow up to become Thomas Jefferson and little girls Annie Oakley or Amelia Earhart I would support public education in less than one second.  Instead, public education inspires young people to be more like Kim Kardashian and Honey Boo Boo.  When I speak against public education and college it is not because I don’t love learning.  It is because those institutions are reeking with liberalism and are teaching our youth everything wrong.  They are filled with teaching positions held by liberals scared of the real world and in no position to teach the youth of American anything!  The evidence of this liberal presence in all tax payer funded schools is overwhelming, and is vastly ignored by the adult population because the knowledge is inconvenient.  Parents fear losing their day time babysitting service, which is all public education really amounts to these days—which is quite tragic.

Many people today would be shocked to learn that in the year 1636 Harvard was founded by Congregationalists to train for ministers.  Yale in 1701 and Dartmouth in 1769 were founded with the same intention.  The College of William and Mary was founded to train Anglican ministers.  In fact many of the early education institutions in America particularly those guided by minds like Thomas Jefferson who founded The University of Virginia as a multi denominational school committed to higher learning, emphasized critical thinking, and a yearning for philosophy in their studies.  Education in the early days of America was committed to more than just landing a good job with a high salary.  The students were encouraged by their teachers to be good people, and to operate under moral conviction.  Education in America during the time of the Founding Fathers intended to elevate the soul of the students through education not to reprogram them into some small-minded perpetrator of liberalism.

It is educators like Arnol Elam who have yelled to the world that good men like Founding Father Thomas Jefferson should be discredited by an affair with his 15-year-old slave Sally Hemmings—because the tenants of progressive philosophy must tear down Jefferson and those like him so that history will not measure progressivism against the philosophy of Scottish Common Sense, that are most guilty of destroying our society with moral depravity and watered down educations.  But guess what?  I measure Progressivism against the philosophy of Scottish Common Sense that founded American very unfavorably, so unfavorably that I reject modern education because of it.

The Scottish School of Common Sense was a school of philosophy that flourished in Scotland in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. Its roots can be found in responses to the writings of such philosophers as John LockeGeorge Berkeley and David Hume, where its most prominent members were, among others, Dugald StewartThomas Reid andWilliam Hamilton, who combined Reid’s approach with the philosophy of Immanuel Kant. The peculiar influence it had on philosophers elsewhere in Europe, not to mention in the United States, exemplified by the American pragmatist Charles Sanders Peirce, is of a considerable magnitude.

One central concern of the school was to defend “common sense” against philosophical paradox and scepticism. It argued that common-sense beliefs govern the lives and thoughts even of those who avow non-commonsensical beliefs and that matters of common sense are within “the reach of common understanding”.[citation needed] The qualities of its works were not generally consistent; Edward S. Reed writes, e.g., “[Whereas] Thomas Reid wished to use common sense to develop philosophical wisdom, much of this school simply wanted to use common sense to attack any form of intellectual change.”[2]

In regard to the affair of Jefferson and Hemings it is highly unlikely that Jefferson even had intercourse with another woman after his wife died, let alone had an affair with Hemings.  It was largely because of Jefferson that slavery began to be examined as immoral in The United States, steps that Lincoln would later utilize to abolish the practice for the first time in human history.  And Jefferson was NOT having sex with underage girls as progressive modern educators hell-bent on embracing human weakness wish to slander and propagate to further their agenda of social destruction.  Jefferson it would appear—especially once he was over forty, was far more concerned with reading, writing, and scientific thought than plotting ways he could have sex with a woman for a mere two hours of pleasure.  Only an immoral progressive educator would think such a thing—who has nothing going on in their minds or private lives to indicate to them that people think any different from them.

Imagine the typical modern-day school superintendent who has a doctoral degree in education—in liberal studies, in progressive social advancement–that is committed to attacking America’s version of Scottish Common Sense, who don’t even have understanding enough to see that Kasich wasn’t stealing money from the poor to give to rich schools, but that it is the other way around.  Modern education is not about teaching children big ideas about science, philosophy, or even spiritual awareness.  It’s about creating good jobs for progressive minded human beings who seek to impose their small-minded world view onto all tax payers with the blanket assumption that education is universally good—when in fact it only advances thoughts favoring liberalism and rejects common sense entirely.  The product of modern education is bad.  It creates bad, immoral characters, and it is responsible for much of the misery that can be seen around the world to this very day.  It is truly sad that dusty old relics such as the Founding Fathers of The United States were far more intellectually sound with all the limits of their day than the modern educator with far more tools at their disposal—but it’s true.  Educators like Arnol Elam see only one thing—money and progressive causes in the daily conduct of their lives and they disgust me.  I despise having to contribute money to such people with my tax dollars.  I hate that a small portion of my money goes to the salary of Arnol Elam to propagate such disgusting verbiage to his school district that young people will learn and carry into their adulthoods.

There isn’t much in this world that I love more than books.  I read every single day of my life, and most days I read for many hours.  I understand people like Thomas Jefferson, and yearn to see his kind of America.  I do not want to understand people like Arnol Elam.  Educators like that are small people with small minds and they are teaching young people to be small adults—and that absolutely disgusts me.  It is not the job of the American tax payer to throw more money at education so that people like Arnol Elam can have a good job on the public dime.  The job of education is to teach young people how to be successful adults, and that job is not being done.  So in that respect I see every public education issue as my problem because my money is being used to advance it.  If I’m going to pay for public education I’m going to get a return on my investment.  If public education takes my money, they will get my criticism especially when they fail to do the job as I think the job should be done.  My measure for good education is people like Thomas Jefferson who placed education on the highest level of human thought and spent his life learning every day and wanted to share that love of learning with all American citizens.  I do the same, and understand that.  But advocates of a faulty product such as modern education like what Arnol Elam represents are parasites to common sense; they seek to advance the basic tenants of Immanuel Kant and the European Enlightenment.  Jefferson spoke of that same European Enlightenment by saying “the comparisons of our governments with those of Europe are like a comparison of heaven and hell.”  And so too is my idea of education compared to Arnol Elam, it is for this reason that I reject modern education in public and college models.  I see them as lost ships guided far out to sea under the idiocy of modern progressives who built their philosophies off Kant and the European Enlightenment monstrosities.    Such things may sound like disconnected rubbish when attached to superintendents like Arnol Elam, but the roots of progressivism are in his concerns, his political actions to move the city of Franklin to political action against a governor in Kasich that is trying to reform education spending.   Districts being run by my friend Kelly Kohls are cast in a bad light by people like Arnol Elam because it is Springboro that is trying to emerge from the darkness of liberalism that has so infected every single education institution in America, breaking the universal commitment to collectivism which so terrifies progressives.   As a conservative, anti-Federalist, Tea Party loving American, the liberalism being taught in public education is unacceptable and I’m not happy with it.  If I had a choice, I wouldn’t spend one dime of my money on it.  Instead though, because of big mouth, greedy, small-minded educators like Arnol Elam who cries out for more money at every turn to fuel their progressive diatribes my money is taken from me and wasted on liberal institutions in the form of public education without my consent—and that is not acceptable.

So it is not true that I hate education just like it is not true that Thomas Jefferson had an affair with Sally Heming’s.  Both falsehoods have been spread by progressive enemies of Scottish Common Sense in order to advance modern progressive activism rooted in European Enlightenment.    I love education, but I reject the liberal institutions that currently possess those houses of learning.  Instead I advocate individual learning so to bypass the liberal control of the education process so that young minds can return their concerns to common sense and a life-long study of morality and goodness that they can carry not just into a job making them subjects to consumerism, but in every aspect of their lives from being good parents, to responsible voters, to committed community contributors, to thriving human beings.  If education is not concerned with these things, it is worthless.  The evidence to the state of modern education is in the words of Arnol Elam and his cries to steal more money from the rich to fuel his progressive school district toward the destruction of more youthful minds and their last hope for a clean and productive life.

Education is more than cheerleading, band, football practices, and art class.  Education is philosophy, critical thinking, and moral grounding along with igniting a life-long yearning for knowledge.  Education in the state that 2013 America holds is a deplorable excuse for human achievement that does little if anything to advance human progress.  Instead, it seems committed to carrying mankind backwards to the tribal villages of Africa or the human sacrificing city-state of the centrally planned communities of the Aztecs and Mayas.  I wouldn’t offer modern education to a dog I cared about, let alone a child I loved.  So it has no value to me as a viable tax expense and there are few politicians qualified to offer commentary on the subject when their primary concerns in life is the quality of their golf game instead of the quality of their life. Thomas Jefferson did not, and would not have an affair with Sally Heming’s or any other sexual representation of feminine magic.  Such a thought is hard for people who are still intellectually inept to grapple with, but sex is not the only concern for the human mind.  As anyone who has a love of learning can attest to, and has lived a full enough life to tell the difference, books and learning are far more rewarding than sex.  Thomas Jefferson in all probability spent the last 45 years or more of his life sexless completely because his mind was so active.   Modern educators who seek to teach young people about sex in the 4th grade can’t imagine such a person as Thomas Jefferson—and because they can’t are not qualified to teach anybody anything, let alone a child.   Thomas Jefferson to me represents how education should be in America and anything less than his approach is worthless and not worth any amount of money.  If the desire in public education were to carry every child into the life of such a classic founding father, I would support it unequivocally.  Instead, modern deconstructionist education seeks to tear Jefferson down, so that people like Arnol Elam can be seen by the public to be viewed as an equal measure of a man, instead of a money-grubbing thief with their gluttonous eyes on the public treasury.

Winning at ‘Survivor’: Maintaining the rarity of toughness to gain an edge

I get the typical questions still almost every day I do it, wondering why I ride a motorcycle in the harsh cold and falling snow.  During the span of days where 6 AM temperatures hovered around 15 degrees in early February, 2013 through black ice and drifting snow I rode my motorcycle as I always do to the inquisitive curiosity of many.  They don’t understand why a 45 year-old man is riding such a vehicle and suffering through the painful cold when I clearly don’t have to.  My answer is one that many can’t understand logically, but it has to do with maintaining a Survivor mindset, one that does not falter under harsh conditions and can continue thinking when a physical reality is filled with pain.  That answer leaves even more people scratching their heads because they don’t understand why such skills would be necessary in today’s world.  But over the years I have done a very good job at surviving anything that has come my way, and I have been so good at it that my family has always joked that I should be a contestant on the TV show Survivor.  In fact, half-way serious back during the third season of Survivor when they were going to Africa I actually tried out for the show.  I was only 33 years-old at the time and went so far as to obtain my passport to appear on the show.  Below is my audition tape that I sent to the producers.  Their criteria at the time was to pick one item that I would want to bring with me on Survivor and describe why.  I picked my 12 foot bullwhip.

The fun thing about watching that old video now is that I haven’t changed that much from then to now.  My oldest daughter was just a little girl at the time as she held targets for me like she always used to.  I filmed that little audition tape while my wife was making breakfast with her mother on a brisk November morning mainly because I wanted to send a message to my kids not to be afraid to try anything even if the odds are very much against you.  Often the fun is in the journey, so it was delightful to assemble those clips with my daughter and allow her to take an active part in helping me try out for such a large television production while at the same time giving me a creative way to tell her the back history of how I came into using bullwhips as a hobby.

By now there is over a decade of Survivor episodes so we all know how the game has been played.  Even though I haven’t played that particular game on that particular show I have played the game in real life very effectively.  Some who know me best have seen to what extremes I am willing to play the game of Survivor in real life.  I’ve had to do it with several companies, personal triumphs, also with politics and in hindsight I had very good instincts to try out for Survivor all those years ago.  Watching the kind of people who have won over the last decade and studying how they’ve won I would have had a good chance at winning the million dollar prize, which is why that show has always been so popular.  The large financial incentive in the game pits many different types of personalities against each other in a successful duplication of reality.  After all, we all play Survivor in our everyday lives in some form or another, so we enjoy watching the show as it strips away all the masks that such competition hides behind.  In the TV game Survivor the settings are always exotic and primitive with the basic human condition exposed under the rugged conditions and easy for viewers to study—which is why the show has been so successful.

Even though I didn’t get the opportunity to be on that show I have survived many personal episodes over the years, and you might be surprised dear reader how many times my use of the bullwhip has bailed me out over that span.  Much of the time it is knowing when to be intense, when to form an alliance, when to break an alliance, when to be unpredictable, when to be predictable, when to show your cards and when not to that dictates who wins and loses in the game of Survivor which we all play every day.  Being good at Survivor requires an understanding of who is scheming against you and who is simply trying to use you to get closer to their eventual goal of which you share with them the final prize.  Much of the time alliances are formed with those you know eventually must be taken out before the game ends and you must detect when they are going to make a move against you so that the aggression can be headed off before hand.

In that regard the game of Survivor that we are all playing is not for a million dollars or even to survive in corporate America.  The game of Survivor we are playing now is one for all the marbles in American philosophy.  For the reasons that John Boehner has sided with Barack Obama in many cases while publicly pretending to dual with him is to maintain the alliance the two have formed along the lines of what George Soros recently revealed about a strategy against the Tea Party being played out in Davos, Switzerland.  Boehner wants to protect machine politics as does Obama, so they both have that trait in common and find the Tea Party as a threat to their personal philosophy.  They may not agree on much else, but they know they must get rid of the Tea Party before they fight each other, so they form a union, just like in the show Survivor.  CLICK THE LINK BELOW FOR MORE.

The weakness of the Tea Party movement is that they are inheritably honest by nature so they find themselves often on the short end of the stick when playing against deceitful competitors.  I too have the very same problem.  It took me a long time to work through this handicap, which I figured out in my teenage years.  I cannot be as deceitful as the typical politician and cannot change sides so quickly as others with less ethics have proven so capable of.  The Soros/Obama plan is to provoke that honesty prevalent in the Tea Party “into the forest” as they put it, so that they can regain control of the two-party system.  Locally we have seen traditional Republicans move away from the Tea Party for this very reason, because they are betting that the Tea Party will not survive, and they fear exposure.   This trend is so popular that even education reformers like Governor Kasich are quickly changing their tune.  He has formed an alliance with labor unions designed to earn his re-election and a run for President in 2016 by turning against the Tea Party ideas that he ran on.  Kasich may not philosophically agree with the labor unions, but he will side with them now so that he can advance to a political level where he can betray them at a future tribal council—(metaphorically speaking).

What is required if you are a Tea Party supporter is a change in strategy that “they” don’t anticipate.  As we move forward with fighting school levies, preserving the Constitution, and maintaining fiscal responsibility in government, it will require new alliances and a will to cut up the old ones into little pieces so that they cannot betray us in the future.  If a deceitful manner is not an option for the Tea Party, which I know before hand that it’s not, then it requires a toughness that the opposition does not have to beat them.

I have learned over the years that the willingness to be “tougher” than a rival can provide leverage over the more manipulative in the game of Survivor.  Opponents who play “politics” and believe they can outspend, outsmart, and outwit a competitor while sitting in the safety of their homes or their luxury cars are ALWAYS at a disadvantage to a rival who is not afraid to bleed, fight in the trenches and rip off the masks of those who desire to remain hidden behind them.  In this way it is possible to always gain the upper hand on a rival who desires to play Survivor from a level of comfort.

If I had been on the show Survivor all those years ago, I would have done well using my athleticism to win a majority of the immunity challenges, and I would have done well otherwise by created and dismissing the proper alliances at the proper time.  And the reason to this very day that I still do push-ups every day, and ride my motorcycle in the extreme cold, the snow, the rain, the intense lightning storms is to remind myself to never get comfortable, to always be ready to make an adjustment in alliances to one that is successful and will allow victory in the game of Survivor.  Typical politicians like Barack Obama, John Boehner, John Kasich and financiers like George Soros are playing the real game of Survivor with the standard “outwit, outplay and outlast” motto.  To win, all those elements are important and cannot bring victory to someone who doesn’t excel at all those traits.  However, I would add “toughness” to that motto.  The ability to be “tougher” than your opponents with all other things being equal proves that victory comes to the tougher player who plays as honestly as possible nearly 100% of the time.  “Toughness” beats all the billions of dollars that people like George Soros spends on politics nearly every single time in a head to head competition of wits.  That is the short answer to why I ride my motorcycle in the cold February months and leave the car in the garage 95% of the time.  “Toughness” is not something you can purchase; it has to be earned the old-fashioned way, and is the extra boost that any competitor can use to defeat their rivals with assurance.

If the Tea Party can maintain their sense of toughness while all these alliances change hands then it will be possible for a handful of tough-minded rebel rousers to dismantle all the billions that George Soros and his minions have spent to advance a global “progressive” society, and it can dismantle the two-party buddy system that is modern politics.  Weak minded competitors who can be purchased because of their love of comfort do not make good allies for the mentally tough anyway, so there is no loss when they abandon us in favor of George Soros type’s power and money.  In the end, honesty, toughness, and tenacity added to maintaining the ability to outwit, outplay, and outlast is a winning formula that will take the Tea Party into the real life finals in the game of Survivor.  The above formula will give the Tea Party a chance to do what many think is impossible—to save America from the advancement of global progressivism.  The real game of Survivor is not on TV but is being played out right here right now in this time and the winners will be those who play it best, and last to the bitter end.

As for me, since the time that I first made that video for the third season of Survivor and now I have survived many, many, many metaphorical tribal councils—enough to have won the TV game many times over.  Some of those real tribal councils have been every bit as vicious as what can be seen on that television show each week for over a decade now.  I anticipate that over the next decade I’ll survive even more that are every bit as ferocious.  There will many alliances that are broken, many tears that are spilled, and there may even be some blood—but in the end, it’s all about “outwitting, out playing and outlasting” competitors with my personal addition of playing with honesty, toughness, and tenacity.  I am confident that I’ll win far more immunity challenges than I’ll lose because at 6 AM in the morning through the pouring rain, the drifting snow, the black ice and extreme cold, I’m the only one on a motorcycle, which is why I do it.

Lakota is Losing Students: The destruction of the American Family

It was not a surprise to me when a recent study presented to the Lakota School Board revealed that in the upcoming 4 years that student enrollment at the 8th largest school system in Ohio will drop by 1,040 students—otherwise 6.1%.  That information is not new and was in fact covered here at the OW nearly a year ago.  I also don’t mind revealing at this early time that it is the results of that study which will be our primary strategy in the upcoming levy attempt in 2013.  At Lakota, which is the public school in my home district, they know that Governor Kasich is not taking away all their state money, and they know that their student enrollment will drop noticeably in the immediate years to come meaning the workforce of nearly 2000 employees who make an average of $63K per year will have to be reduced in relation to the student population.  It should be a foregone conclusion that Lakota could balance their budget without tax increases.  But it is not this information that I wish to focus on at this time—rather the reckless results of progressive based education models and their idiotic strategy for social construction that is even more fascinating.  Read more about the study as it was presented to the school board at the link below:

http://westchesterbuzz.com/2013/02/01/study-lakota-local-schools-enrollment-will-go-down/

In the study Jerome McKibben made a compelling argument when he said “This isn’t a Lakota problem or a Cincinnati problem or a Ohio problem, we see this trend in successful suburban school districts all across America.”  He went on to present the finer details of his analysis.

Population in school district

  • Has increased from 74,433 in 2000 to 94,639 in 2010
  • Is projected to grow to 100,516 by 2020
  • Number of 10-14 teens is projected decrease from 8,266 in 2010 to 7,320 in 2020
  • The median age is projected to go up from 36.9 in 2010 to 40.7 in 2020
  • Ages 50+ are projected to go up from 26,729 in 2010 to 36,264 in 2020

McKibben cited that districts similar to Lakota have high graduation rates, high rates of students going to college, and high rates of graduates leaving their hometown. “They don’t marry the boy or girl next door,” McKibben said. “They marry the boy or girl in the next dorm.” McKibben also said that the fastest growing household type in this area over the next ten years will be empty-nesters.  Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

I don’t dispute what McKibben said in the least.  But I think we should expand on the notion of the boy next door who goes to Lakota and is successfully urged to go to college and marry the girl in the next dorm—who then settles in a big city in some far away land beyond the realm of small town Lakota.  I think the situation is far more complex than that.

The birth rates are lower these days as a direct result of public education’s platform of easy sex without consequences.  Public schools have been teaching children sex education earlier than the fifth grade so as a result children well before they even hit puberty are thinking about sex and using birth control to avoid pregnancy.  In addition to that public schools have also been very supportive of same-sex relationships which is quite extraordinary given the statistical results of such relationships to the bottom line of tax bases.  The government school instruction is like everything progressive–people are born a certain way and have no control over their thoughts and feelings—making them eternal victims always in need of some sort of government assistance—whether it is civil rights protection or laws making opportunities equal to them beyond discrimination.  Government is ceaseless in their sales pitches for their services.  The progressive instruction that has been given to two decades worth of American children is that actions do not have consequences, and as a result we have entire generations of children who do not believe that if they have a baby out-of-wedlock that it is their responsibility to care for that child.   They believe they can put the child on welfare to cover the costs of raising the child.  They also believe that same-sex relationships can be as productive as traditional relationships, and the results are beginning to show up in statistical analysis like the McKibben study.

When a school system like Lakota begs for more money due to their teacher’s union contract that is coming due in 2014—so they can pay their teachers even more money—they forget who pays the bill and what kind of people make up a community’s most productive.  Tax payers who must pay the salaries of teachers haven’t in many cases seen a pay increase of any kind since Obama has been president.  School administrators are assuming that there will be enough homes in a district to pay their enormous tax bills and that the desire to pay will never diminish.  But as I indicated the other day, more and more homes are being foreclosed on as families trying to make ends meet are falling into dire straits in an economy that does not favor them.  Tax payers are tapped out, leaving very little income for families to even pay their cable TV bills with, so they are slowly eroding away into foreclosure.

Most of the time with financial hardship comes the divorce of a couple and the breakup of a family.  Public schools like that statistic because the education institutions fancy themselves as caretakers of community’s children anyway so broken families strengthen their social beliefs that government is the center of a family, not the parents—but their thoughts are short-sighted.    Without a family struggling to pay their bills and raise their families in a community, there aren’t enough people who desire to send their children to public schools and pay those extraordinary taxes on their property for the rest of their lives.  Compound that short-term problem with the progressive strategy of supporting same-sex relationships and another issue emerges.  A gay couple cannot produce a child.  They can adopt a child, but they cannot do as traditional America has and pop out 6 or 7 children from one woman who would then grow up and become productive members of their communities.  Progressive education instead has taught young people to wait until their 30’s to have children and once they do, they only have a one or two.  While these young people are waiting to grow up, they spend their time in apartments in urban environments and spend many years experimenting sexually to “find themselves” which is a reckless waste of time for a young person.  The result of this “unproductive” period means that families are not being created—which means that the tax base is not being replenished—meaning that Lakota and many public schools do not have enough tax payers with kids in the school system to buy into their product.

The people on the opposite side of the table from me on this issue, the blind school levy supporters will say that they are forced to teach what “The State” deems necessary for the curriculum and they have no choice but to follow the progressive agenda and the bi-product of that commitment.  Their common response to me is that it’s “bigger than all of us,” meaning that they feel they are too insignificant to make any kind of meaningful impact, so why try.  Well my answer to them is the same one that I utter here continuously in what school board member Julie Schaffer calls my “rants.”  Most of the laws that Lakota claims they have to adhere to were shaped by labor union lobbyists and dim-witted politicians who secretly look for middle age love in bathroom stalls with same-sex partners or hang out at rest stops looking for a quick hit from an over the road trucker missing his wife.  Who are these types of people to judge a young child who wants to experiment sexually, so progressive sex education finds its way into public school curriculums, and administrators go right on along with it because where else can they make six figure incomes just for showing up and sipping coffee half the morning in the teacher’s lounge.  The school employees put up and shut up, and do what they are told, and never question their reality.

The problem is much more complex than Jerome McKibben’s report analyzed fully.  Public education is a victim of their own stupidity and short-sighted world view.  They spent years trying to tear down the American family with social engineering experiments that belong in the nightmarish novel Brave New World rather than in the lives of our children and they caused their own destruction with progressive strategy.  The boy next door who moved away to California after he married the passed-out girl in the dorm next door after half a dozen other boys had their way with her incapacitated body wait another 7 years to have children so they can put the memory of their “wild college days” behind them.  By the time the couple decides to have children, they only have two before the woman hits menopause and loses the ability all together.  This number goes down even more if the boy next door moves in with a boy from New York and they conduct a 15-year relationship marching in gay pride parades with colorful outfits wearing flowers in their hair.  The anal sex the two conducts in their lives will not produce a child, so while the couple live it up in their urban apartment, children are not a part of their lives, meaning they most likely won’t buy a 200K home in the suburbs—unless they work for government in some way and can afford it.

So thanks to progressive philosophy most homes in suburban school districts like Lakota will not have children in them—and the owners of those homes won’t be willing to pay over $3,000 to $5,000 dollars a year in property taxes to cover the collective aims of only 15% of the community’s total population.  The funding model for public education is falling apart before their very eyes and it is their own mistakes that created it.  That is why it is so much fun to fight public schools on these school levies, because the education institutions are arrogant enough to ignore these facts and prove how ill prepared they are to deal with statistics preferring the flighty fantasies of progressive social engineering over the logic of thought one hundred percent of the time.  They are the architects of their own destruction and always defend themselves behind the backs of children, which makes them deplorable and a delight to expose.

If you haven’t watched them yet, please do watch the videos above for support information.  It is important to understand this changing world.  All kidding aside, this is a serious matter.  That last video is a real eye-opener.

The Financial Health of America: How to adapt to the coming crises

This is the day of the Superbowl and as I watched the festivities of the day and thought about the countless parties going on all over America I had some thoughts about economics in The United States that I wanted to share.  I have covered so many radio broadcasts here at the OW over the years that I have moved on to new ways of communicating just to avoid redundancy.  For instance, when Darryl Parks covered two years ago the coming financial crises in America, he was talking about the time we are currently in.  CLICK HERE to revisit that broadcast and compare that broadcast to this new one done on 700 WLW during the first day of February 2013.  A lot of ground has been covered between the Darryl Parks broadcast of a couple of years ago and this recent one, but the scope of the problem is very accurately displayed for even economically naive listeners to understand.  Have a listen:

This financial crisis is the paramount topic of our day.  The state of our economy is changing rapidly and soon many of those who thought that finance in America was an impregnable fortress will soon learn what epic failure and a commitment to socialism has done to us all.  With student debt collapsing our economy as we speak, the old idea of retiring at 65 years old off a nice pension and other government driven revenue is gone forever.  Instead Americans in their mid-40’s on down will have to face a new reality for financing their lives and the luxury of one income to handle all their affairs just won’t do.

In my own life I have begun writing books to help fuel my own later years with additional sources of personal income, because the old traditional model will become obsolete in the coming years.  With the collapse of the American economy so to will the idea of working one job for eight hours every day go away.  In the future it may take 3 or 4 jobs requiring 10 to 30 hours each week to commit to, and that is the result of the massive plundering that has went on in our nation’s government.

College will not help fix this problem; it has only made it worse, because our education system has saturated the marketplace with too many employees trained in skills that do not have revenue generating potential.  The best jobs for college graduates are government jobs, because the private sector has not been able to sustain government intrusion and preserve profitability while maintaining the financial promises of a university degree.  Unions also won’t help, because like colleges, they have improperly skewed the profitability of their enterprises with redistributive wealth reforms that have had the opposite effect of their intentions.  Just a quick glance at the economic viability of Detroit, and the state of California provides all the proof one needs to predict the future of economies driven by these forces.

What this means is that a massive exodus of tax contributions is about to hit The United States government and they are not prepared to deal with that grim reality peacefully.  I recently spoke about the cost of high taxes pushing people out of their homes.  An empty home does not contribute taxes to a school district, or a police department, or those beloved firefighters embedded into our minds as heroes from the Fisher Price toys we played with as children.  When citizens can no longer make money off their jobs or own property, there is nothing for government to tax—there is no way to steal the money away from the citizens—and the government will go bankrupt once people lose the will to participate.  That will is quickly disappearing.

A failure to address these issues back when Darryl Parks first did his broadcast with Porter Standsberry has caused this current crisis to impact the lives of millions of families, and that is just the tip of the iceberg.  I put this recent broadcast up today so that a trend can be seen by the intelligent reader/viewer.  These broadcasts are more than doomsday entertainment, they are more than skeptical speculation; they are quite real in their announcements of economic disaster.  I believe that the downward economic trend is unavoidable and those who will survive are those who adjust their lives to these changing conditions.  The keys to this new survival are to keep student debt down.  Keep credit card debt low to non-existent.  And do many things for a living—not just one specialized thing.  Avoid high looting taxes because with every tax dollar you throw away to government, you will have to work a part-time job or two here and there to cover the cost of those taxes.  Keep it simple and stay out-of-the-way, because things will get ugly before they get better.  And most importantly, think like a “producer” not a “consumer.”  Conditions will get ugly because too many people are in denial of the present state of affairs, and refuse to acknowledge the true economic status of The United States.  Take broadcasts like the one done on 700 WLW and cherish the information, because failure to act will lead your family down a dark path that will most likely end very poorly for all involved.

Enjoy the Superbowl.  Hope your team won.  Depending on how you answer that will determine your ability to avoid trouble in the coming days.

Government Will Always be Bad so Long as Bad People Join: The mystery of the social do-gooder

It is not enough to just point at the government and say that it’s bad.  Government is bad because it attracts the wrong kind of people to serve it.  Yet in order to fix government the understanding of what “good” people are, what they look like, and how they should behave must be understood.  Without that understanding, there is no hope for government to ever be reformed for the better no matter what the political affiliation is or under what flag it resides under.  The roots of people come out when they are pressed, as seen in the article link below from the West Chester Buzz regarding John Boehner and the comments about John’s current political predicament, from some of the same people who have intersected my life at times.  This posting is directed at some of those people, and the ornaments that hang from their lives to this day who are equally as baffled to the changes in political climate as Boehner is currently.

http://westchesterbuzz.com/2013/01/28/enquirer-whats-changed-for-john-boehner/

(Well written article by Deidre Shesgreen of The Cincinnati Enquirer by the way.)

I have known entirely too many people who do not understand what I mean when I speak of the word “honesty.”  Government is filled with many individuals who believe that the collectivism of government can shield them from scrutiny while their true intentions are to gain much wealth for themselves through collectivism.  I ran into this constantly from family and friends who wondered why I was so adamantly against the Lakota School Levy.  They believed that in some distorted way that Mark Sennet had hired me to be a spokesman for No Lakota Levy, and that my activity in local politics was somehow inspired by a climb for power into the Republican Party.  To answer one of the people mentioned in the West Chester Buzz article, it is OK to make a “buck,” I fully support free enterprise.  But it is not OK to enter politics so that the process of regulation can be controlled by the presence of a politician who is in the zipper of a builder or developer.  I say that even though I know many that I call friends, yet I know they do not understand what motivates me, which has always bothered me, and prevents friendship beyond polite formalities.  When many learned the truth—that I am as against people like Sennet for his blind and naive avocation of Agenda 21 style “community development” as I am the labor unions—and that the true rift with No Lakota Levy has its roots in these philosophical reasons than anything else—they are as unable to understand what I tell them as a dog can read a book.  CLICK HERE FOR REVIEW.  The language and cognition are just not available to them.

I know many Republicans who only have conservative beliefs so that they can advance their careers.  And I know many, many Democrats who do the same.  Statistics prove that many of the teachers, fire fighters and cops who voted the “union” ticket in the last elections do not care what the politicians on their tickets believed politically, but simply voted in the fashion that they did to secure their livelihoods.  In my own family there are superintendents, teachers, school bus drivers, professional students—kids who are school age children whose parents need their schools to watch their kids while they pursue careers.  They all wonder what I am after in my political arguments even though many of them have known me my entire life.  They assume that I will announce to the family that I have a big lobby job with Washington or a public relations position for a local school system because I must have some personal agenda for my political campaigns, otherwise, why else would I do them?

Lately I have went further down the rabbit hole of personal life management because the solutions to America’s problems reside in individual lives—and it does no good to point out the deficiencies and failures of government without addressing the reasons.  And those reasons are some of the most obvious yet obscure traits available to the minds of the masses on a daily bases.  Too many people arrive too late in their lives with a yearning to be “good.”  They fall in love for all the wrong reasons; buy the wrong kind of cars, clothing, and even dishwashers for motivations that defy practicality.  They pursue occupations that allow these movements not for their inward calls to adventure but out of a desire to find meaning in their meaningless lives.  They have pushed God from their lives, they have accepted collectivism as a social blanket to hide their inner demons from themselves, and they arrive into their adulthoods fractions of their true potential—wastes of human beings that are navigating T.S. Eliot’s Wasteland in their grim realities.

For the worst of the human being they seek to hide their personal wastelands from public view by joining government in a quest to save society because they cannot save themselves.  They do not have the courage to face life daily, they buy into collectivism and hope to have success in mass.  This is how it all starts, this is how government goes bad, because bad people join it with the good intention of saving themselves with redemptive escapades—but they only end up bringing the same kind of destruction to government and the people government serves as a result and they seek to use stolen money through taxation to cover their multiple personal evils.  If only one or two people did such a thing, society might be able to absorb the impact, but tragically, there is only one or two per thousand who are good.  The vast majority in government are broken souls trying desperately to fill their personal voids with public office under the guise of doing public good.  The reality is that they are trying to conceal from public view their many inner evils of which they spend most of their lives fleeing from only to arrive at retirement age broken relics of their once hopeful lives.

There is a real fear when it is realized that a few here and there involve themselves in politics not to redeem their past sins, or to curry favor to build alliances with others to advance their careers, but out of a desire to do “good.”  When objectives of personal gain cannot be found, the panic begins to set in and a new layer of anger emerges.  For those who are truly dedicated to being good and understanding the higher meanings of things, political theater is a trivial pursuit and I personally don’t have much tolerance for it.  When I make my comments about politics and the participants it is out of a personal disdain that I have for the quality of the people attracted to politics.  If their desire is to hide their personal faults from society by joining public office then spending my money to redeem their activity through collectivism, then I have a right to expose them for what they are attempting to conceal from public view.  It would be less of my business what their personal faults were if they did not consume my tax money, but because they do, they deserve the wrath of critical analysis.

My objective is to sort the good from the bad.  In my personal life, I only have room for those who want to do good.  I don’t enjoy the company of social climbers and political manipulators so it’s no skin off my back if I piss them off.  If they don’t wake up in the morning committed to being good people then I don’t have value for them.  In that regard, when I have been invited to meet Governor John Kasich, I have dodged those meetings not out of disrespect, but because my personal time is valuable and there is nothing in such a meeting for me.  Kasich is a public servant and to me that is equal to the kind of person I might hire to clean my house.  When I was invited to have breakfast with John Boehner fairly recently, I ducted the invitation not out of disrespect to Boehner, but out of a preference for having a private breakfast with my wife doing what we enjoy doing on Saturday mornings.  And there is no circumstance that Barack Obama could invite me to the White House for any kind of meeting that I would go to without having something better to do.  Many people would say that my comments in this regard are crazy–yet that is why our government is so screwed up, and what I fight against.  For those who don’t understand, I work to make them understand by forcing them to look at their actions in the context of goodness, and measure for themselves if they wish to continue down that path.

Such action may not be popular but that’s alright with me.  My view is on the long view, not the short.  There is nothing in the short view that interests me, and no amount of money in the world that could lure me into such a short-sighted view.  Along those guidelines, there is no tolerance that I have for those who are so short-sighted, and my respect for people who are, is non-existent.  So for those who wonder, I hope this explanation frames the situation correctly.
